The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) supported by the National Defense Forces (NDF) continued its advance along the Turkish border in the Latakia province’s northern countryside. Following the heavy clashes against the al Nusra and Free Syrian Army militants, the Syrian forces took control of Zahiyah Tower, near the Turkish border-crossing. The government troops are continuing the advance along the Turkish border.
The Syrian forces targeted terrorists’ concentration centers in the neighborhoods of al- Rashidiya, al-Hwaiqa and al-Sheikh Yassin in Deir Ezzur. Early reports said 11 terrorists were killed and, at least, 34 others were injured in the attacks. The main clashes were observed at the city of Inkhil, and the towns of Zimrin and Simlin in Dara’a.
A strategic village of Marhatan near Palmyra in the Homs province has been purged of the militants in a massive military operation. Earlier, the Syrian troops engaged in heavy clashes with ISIS militants in al-Biyarat region. The pro-government sources argue that the ISIS militants suffered heavy loses.
Some 200 wanted militants from Zabadani region and Madaya in Damascus province turned themselves in to the authorities on Saturday. The Syrian government has vowed to pardon all those who lay down arms voluntarily. Another reason has been the Russian air raids which impact the terrorists’ fighting spirit negatively.
military review 12/06/15: Is this in the “give me a break” category? BBC shows photo of “missile wielding” Russian?
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35021876
The BBC is the most dispicable propaganda outfit out there masquerading as journalism.
When John Kerry spoke about “propaganda bull-horn”, he really had the BBC in mind.
It is the premier mouthpiece of the Empire.
It will ignore the most obvious stories, once they are deemed inconvenient to the prevailing narrative being pushed, or it will cover them sarcasticslly or just in passing.
A recent example of this is its coverage -non coverage really- of Putin’s revalation of Ankara’s ISIS ties.
Conversley, it will amplify and exaggerate the most mundane or trivial, if it fits in with the angle being pushed.
In this case, the angle being pushed is the demonization of Putin and all things Russian.
Fortunately, their glory days are behind them. Audience numbers have fallen and continues to fall as more and more people wake up to their lies and half-truths.
I hear, that they have been working to have RT and PRESS TV booted from the UK, in the hope that they can regain market share…….
press tv has alreay been removed from uk due to a technicality…
promoting viws of iran government.!
like the bbc and fox news are inependent and…..
fair and balanced.
Jaro, one of the BBC sewer’s nastiest conceits is when they have some Imperial stooge on, from an enemy state like Russia, Iran, Syria or China. The stooge MUST sing the praises of the glorious West and its ‘moral values’, and come up with some touching story of lying awake at night, listening to the glorious BBC so that they could hear ‘the truth’, unlike the evil local media. Nauseating, but as predictable as the dawn.
US warplane bombs Syrian Army position. This is the mission. Destroy Syria, decimate the Army, kill Assad.
http://fortruss.blogspot.com/2015/12/breaking-international-coalition-bombs.html
The answer to that should be clear. Shoot down any plane that bombs SAA positions. You’d better believe if I was an SAA soldier there I’d want a “good” answer as to why that isn’t being done. Otherwise I’d be wondering what purpose my government is supposed to serve. Any objections from the US would be handled by the “ooops,my bad. Since you were bombing me I of course figured you were an enemy plane. Better not ever bomb me again. Or I’ll keep thinking that, and shoot you down again”. I think maybe people need to stop thinking this is a “chess match”,and clue into the fact, its a bar-fight instead”.
This is untenable and must not stand.
Members off the SAA and their families cannot be asked to accept a situation where they are bombed with impunity while fighting against foreign-backed terrorists in defence of their homeland.
The Syrian governnent along with Russia MUST immediately declare Syrian air-space off limits to all countries not cooperating with Damascus. Those who persists in violating Syrian sovreignty will have only themselves to blame when their aircrafts are “neutralized”.
Turkey said that the Russian jet was in its airspace for 17 seconds- we know its a lie but thats not the point here – they shot it down and received public backing from the US and NATO.
Syria and Russia are fighting these criminals together, so the S-400s that are now deployed must be used to keep them ALL safe.
If not, then what is the message being sent?
What does this say about the selective application of Internstional Law, about which Mr Putin likes to speak?
If this continues and only Russian assets are protected by the MDS it will be perceived as weakness by Moscow and it will only embolden the US and company to up the anti and do more provocative things while at the same time, make your allies wary and unsure.
If Turkey has an inherent right to “defend itself” then so does Syria.
Any response to US aggression is just the excuse the Evil Ones are waiting for. It will be followed by the full regime change carpet-bombing as in Libya, and the Western MSM vermin (with apologies to rats and cockroaches) will be screeching of ‘Syrian aggression’. As lies are the sole currency of life in the West these days, this will be no problem for the psychopaths to utter, and the drones to loyally swallow.

Veritas, ‘lawlessness’ has been the glorious West’s modus operandi since Adam was a boy. They are ‘the law’. They are the ‘exception’ to the laws that cover mere mortals, hence ‘exceptional’, because they are God’s favourites. And if you dare laugh, they’ll kill your children. If you resist, they’ll destroy your entire country, and put loyal local psychopaths in charge of a death-squad regime.
“US warplane bombs Syrian Army position”
It was bound to happen.
This is why Putin shouldn’t have invited the real ‘Axis of Evil’ to fight in Syria, it was obvious from the get go that if they went in, they weren’t gonna bomb ISIS, they would have taken the opportunity to go after Assad forces, just like they’re doing now.
This is also why non of them should be sitting at the negotiation table in Vienna, it’s not their country, they have no business in discussing how the nation should be run or shouldn’t. Only Syria should decide who ought to have a place at the table. On top of everything else, not even a week into being in Syria without being invited and they’re already committing war crimes. What is there to discus with war criminals?
We need to put ourselves in their shoes, imagine if this was your country, and every single mortal enemy of yours, and their dog, were gathering in five star venues to discuss what to do with YOUR country. I, personally, would be pretty pissed and would be enlisting to the SAA rather than running for cover in Europe.
But the situation the Russians are finding themselves in is even more worrying, as Saker said it himself [and kudos to him for injecting a healthy dose a realism into this whole narrative]; “[..] considering the absolutely reckless arrogance and imperial hubris of the western elites, every Russian effort to avoid war is interpreted by the western deep state as a sign of weakness. In other words, by acting responsibly the Russians are now providing an incentive for the West to act even more irresponsibly. This is a very, very, dangerous dynamic which the Kremlin will have to deal with”
Russia could not be in a more trickier situation at the moment.

Thanks for the update. It’s encouraging to see that progress is being made on the ground. In the airy-fairy realms of politics it’s business as usual. Assad is correct; the only way to deal with terrorism is to defeat and defang it on the ground.
Then negotiators in the safety of their air-conditioned bubbles can blow smoke in each others’ faces. Gee, I’ve become a cynic about the rich and famous, the comfortable and the conformists while my heart bleeds for the martyrs of freedom.

The Syrian Arab Army’s 137th Brigade has been protecting the civilians in the village of ‘Ayyash from the swarming ISIS fighters that are attempting to break into the provincial capital of the Deir Ezzor Governorate from the northern flank; this airstrike only boosted ISIS’ positions inside this village and the nearby broadcast tower.

With up to 1500 Turkish military on the ground adjacent to the ISIS capitol of Mosul, working directly, according to sources, with their Kurdish partners in Erbil and their ISIS allies in Mosul, the new American base placed along oil smuggling routes into Turkey will be a real aid to ISIS.
Now Turkey has moved into Syria as well, setting up a base along oil smuggling routes. Turkey is planning to escort oil convoys offering NATO “human shield” protection, Turkish Army light armour, to keep illegal oil flowing on behalf of Erdogan, his family and political allies in Europe, America and Israel.

Assad pardons all those who lay down their arms….I hope they get sent west….sorry Europe but your governments created this mess, along with USrael….and US is smart enough not to let immigrants in…that’s the American people activated ….
@Ann:
They will be “sent west” all right. It’s like Germany in the late 1940’s and throughout the 1950’s: There was little need of any de-Nazification in East and West alike, if for different reasons. In the West, the Nazi constituency was rightfully regarded as the solid backbone of Western bourgeois society; especially with regard to its armed wing, judiciary, and educatation system. In the East, the Nazi plague packed up and sent itself west. The East was cleansed nearly effortlessly.
In short: The West can make whatever silly noises it wants about fighting Nazism and Islamofascism. As soon as the opportunity arises, it’s quite plain — except to the wilfully blind — that like draws to like.
This is very controversial in Syria.. Assad has like 80% support.. Only 5% support the blood suckers… The rest 15% are on the fence and sees Assad as week.. They want the SSAF to flatten the cities the terrorists have taken over.. Also All Syrians are supposed to be taken alive. If they surrender they are disarmed and sign a paper and then sent home.. Their families already live in government controlled areas so thats where they go.. So if you are in a pickle.. Just surrender and say I want amnesty.. Makes the jobs of the soldiers far more difficult. they can not use overwhelming firepower in most cases.. 300,000 dead in 5 years is not so high in war.. Compared to the almost 2 million Iraqi’s who died in the US invasion and occupation.. Heck 2 millions Iraqi kids died just due to sanctions. But it was worth it for Exxon.. Now she even has a oil tanker named after her for her service to capitalism.. Its gould to be rich eh?

DAMASCUS (Sputnik) — Four Syrian army soldiers were killed and some 13 were wounded in a US-led coalition airstrike in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor province, sources told Sputnik Monday.
According to the sources, two tanks and an ammunition depot in Deir ez-Zor that belonged to the Syrian army were also destroyed in the airstrike.
Syrian military has so far refused to confirm or deny this information.”
My guess is this provocation is intended to push the Syrians into denying israel’s puppets free entry of their airspace. Since Syria could not enforce such a demand, it would fall on the Russians to keep the zionazis terrorists at bay. Another very typical zionazi attempt to either get Russia in a hot war with zionazi quislings, or force Russia to back off on defending Syria from zionazi aggression.
The following makes it certain that this war crime against Syria is a part of the larger oded yinon strategy using terrorist proxies/dupes and the western zio-occupied colonies to subjugate Syria, and not a fluke attack.

Why is Duff a disinformation agent? Do you know something? Can you provide a link?
Because he himself agreed that he knew not everything he writes is accurate but he does it as disinformation so as not to get killed.. So you should not take what he says as gospel. But from what I have noticed he has some wild theories.. And if you cant trust what he writes then how can you take anything seriously? What I mean is, most have a lot of fluff in it, not reporting but just it is what they think.. But on top of that when you add in things way out there, well you cant take any of it as being true. I sometimes read debka file knowing they are biased.. But it is biased on truth. You can pretty much throw out the bias and come out with some useful information. But if they started adding things about little green men in there I would not bother..

Syria Right to Hit NATO Warplanes
http://sputniknews.com/columnists/20151206/1031325664/syria-nato-planes-cunningham.html
“Translated from Arabic language Alrai Media (thanks to the reliable Fort Russ Russian news site), the senior Syrian officer at the operations room is quoted as saying: “Soon Syria will announce that any country using the airspace without coordinating with Damascus will be viewed as hostile and [we] will shoot the jet down without warning. Those willing to fight terrorism and coordinate with the military leadership will be granted safe corridors.”
Russia is the only country whose military aircraft are legally deployed in Syria because Moscow has the full consent of the Syrian government. All the others do not have consent from Damascus.
So we have at least seven foreign powers deploying their warplanes to bomb Syrian territory – all in violation of international law.
It is irrelevant whether the US-led alliance claims to be fighting terrorists, or whether they claim it is in “self-defence” as France, Britain and Germany are. The Germany justice minister Heiko Maas, speaking after the Bundestag voted for military action this week, claimed that the United Nations Security Council resolution passed last month in the wake of the Paris attacks makes the German intervention legal. That UNSC resolution does not specifically sanction military action.
If the Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad – which is the internationally recognised governing authority of Syria and retains its seat at the UN – does not consent to foreign military intervention, then that intervention is illegal, as Moscow and Damascus have repeatedly pointed out.
Now, some might say it is a reckless move for Syria to train its skies with the powerful S-300. If a US, French, British or German warplane is shot down then that may ignite a full-on war with the American NATO military alliance. Russia would inevitably be dragged into the fight, which could slide into a world war between nuclear powers.
But hold on a minute. That logic amounts to the US and its allies using such fear as a weapon to disarm others and to prevent sovereign states from exercising their rights.
Such a dynamic is a blank cheque for powers to bully and oppress others.”
Essentially, the zionazis are using their colonies to try and aquire Syria for greater Israel using any and all cowardly means available.
Syrians can say anything but Assad is Putins bitch.. He got bitch slapped for using the S300 radars to shoot down a Turkish jet and that was the last time anyone ever saw any S300 equipment in Syria. Russia is preparing for war and I think they want to keep the frequencies and capabilities secret until needed. a nato invasion would see everything out in the open.. Syria still has a lot of ballistic missiles. Can hit a lot of targets all over the place and is not as defenseless against other states. Using them in cities would see an exponential increase in death rates. The SAA command wanted to use it years back, only Assad keeps them in check.. Imagine if some right wing nationalist comes to power who dont care about syrians as such who never grew up in the west. Some nut case like breedlove or mccane..
“Syrians can say anything but Assad is Putins bitch.. He got bitch slapped for using the S300 radars to shoot down a Turkish jet and that was the last time anyone ever saw any S300 equipment in Syria.”
Certainly said aware it equally amounts to “anything”.

British strikes in Syria illegal, play into terrorists’ hands – Assad
https://www.rt.com/news/324919-assad-raf-airstrikes-failure/
“London’s air operation against Islamic State in Syria is illegal and therefore will not be successful, like the bombing of the US-led coalition in the country over the last year, Syrian President Bashar Assad said in an interview with The Sunday Times newspaper.
The support of the British parliament for the air operation in Syria advocated by Prime Minister David Cameron cannot change the fact that the presence of the Royal Air Force in Syrian airspace is unlawful since neither Damascus, nor the United Nations have given London the green light to bomb Syrian territory, Assad said.
“It will be harmful and illegal and it will support terrorism, as happened after the coalition started its operation a year or so [ago] because this is like a cancer,” Assad said, accusing British PM David Cameron of a farcical description of the so-called “moderate Syrian opposition” that is supposed to push Islamic State (former ISIS/ISIL) out from the territories it occupies in Syria.
“This is a new episode in a long series of David Cameron’s classical farce… Where are they? Where are the 70,000 moderates he is talking about?”
Erdogan Moves To Annexes Mosul
“Should Mosul be cleared of the Islamic State the Turkish heavy weapons will make it possible for Turkey to claim the city unless the Iraqi government will use all its power to fight that claim. Should the city stay in the hands of the Islamic State Turkey will make a deal with it and act as its protector. It will benefit from the oil around Mosul which will be transferred through north Iraq to Turkey and from there sold on the world markets. In short: This is an effort to seize Iraq’s northern oil fields.”

Wiretaps reveal Turkey’s attacks on Syrian regime positions
Media reports based on eyewitness and opposition sources saying that Turkey has become a party to the civil war in Syria have found their way into court proceedings. During the trial of the Islamic State (IS) militants who attacked Turkish security forces at Nigde last year, court files revealed that Turkey, beyond supplying opposition forces with weapons and ammunition, had also given artillery support to the opposition groups that captured Kassab. The prosecutor obtained striking admissions by tapping the defendants’ phones. According to documents obtained by Ahmet Sik of Cumhuriyet, the wiretapping transcripts reveal that the opposition forces at Kassab inform people in Turkey of the coordinates of Syrian army positions around Kassab, and then Turkey shells those locations.
As clashes continued around Kassab on March 23, a Syrian warplane was shot down by a missile fired from Turkey for violating Turkish airspace. In June 2014, when President Bashar al-Assad’s army recaptured Kassab, including the high ground known as Feature 45, the Turkish army fired on the Syrian side.
The information collected from the Nigde assailants’ tapped phones contradicted official statements. According to the recordings, Adil Orli, the commander of the Bayir Bucak Turkmen Front, sends the coordinates through his brother Ayhan Orli to Mehmet Toktas, the president of the Yayladag Youth Association. In a conversation on June 7, Ayhan Orli reports that he had sent via WhatsApp the coordinates of seven targets he had received from Adil Orli. He says, “Firing was useful. Our friends solved the rest of the problems. But there are still seven locations. If you fire once on each, that will be enough.”
The two also talk of military assistance. Orli complains of a shortage of ammunition. Toktas says, “Let me talk to Ankara once more to see what is happening. Without ammunition, nothing can be done.”
In a conversation on June 14, someone called Yasar Benli asks Ayhan Orli to arrange for the shelling of the Syrian regime’s units deployed around the cell towers on Feature 45. A short time later, Ayhan Orli tells Toktas, ”There are many soldiers on Syriatel Hill. It will be good if you can hit them.” He gives a description of the target.
As the Syrian army increases its pressure in the Latakia area, the number of Turkmens calling for more help from Turkey will continue to increase.

Syria: Ultimate Pipelineistan War,
http://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2015/12/07/syria-ultimate-pipelineistan-war.html
WASHINGTON, December 7. /TASS/. The United States will use all capabilities to fight the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization, President Barack Obama said on Sunday addressing the nation on the fight against terrorism and ensuring national security.
“First, our military will continue to hunt down terrorist plotters in any country where it is necessary. In Iraq and Syria, airstrikes are taking out ISIL leaders, heavy weapons, oil tankers, infrastructure. And since the attacks in Paris, our closest allies including France, Germany, and the United Kingdom have ramped up their contributions to our military campaign, which will help us accelerate our effort to destroy ISIL,” Obama said.
ISIL is the former name of IS.
“Second, we will continue to provide training and equipment to tens of thousands of Iraqi and Syrian forces fighting ISIL on the ground so that we take away their safe havens. In both countries, we’re deploying Special Operations Forces who can accelerate that offensive. We’ve stepped up this effort since the attacks in Paris, and we’ll continue to invest more in approaches that are working on the ground,” he said.

Since the attacks in Paris, we’ve surged intelligence-sharing with our European allies. We’re working with Turkey to seal its border with Syria. And we are cooperating with Muslim-majority countries and with our Muslim communities here at home to counter the vicious ideology that ISIL promotes online,” Obama said.

However, given the rigidity of the reaction of the official Baghdad is safe to assume that even if the Turkish authorities in advance discussed his march to the US command in the region, for the central government of Iraq is a complete surprise……It is interesting to note that in the beginning of December, before the Turkish raid in northern Iraq, the President of Iraqi Kurdistan Massoud Barzani received with great pomp in Saudi Arabia. Chapter Kurdish autonomy within Iraq’s private audience honored the Saudi monarch himself Salman. Admission Barzani in Riyadh organized by the category of “the visit the head of state” than the Saudis, among others, once again stressed his dislike of the pro-Iranian government Haydar al-Abadi in Baghdad. As a result of the breakthrough IG militants managed to move forward for 2-4 km and take a number of settlements adjacent to the line Dzharabulus – Azaz. At the same time the Turkish army continues to constrain attempts to “People’s Protection Units» (YPG) Syrian Kurds to organize a counter-attack, firing periodically at night the Kurdish position. Meanwhile, 2 December, the Russian military transport plane dropped 5 tons of different weapons and ammunition for the Kurdish YPG troops near the town of Afrin (north-west of Aleppo, Syria). Containers fell on the territory controlled by the Kurds, it got a whole load of those whom it was intended.”

In a certain sense, the problem today is Kurdistan. The Kurds on the territory of Turkey and Syria are obviously negative towards Ankara, as towards the West, and do not hide their leftist views. Therefore, the West will carry on work with the Iraqi Kurds loyal to it, out of whom a new elite can be “forged.” It is possible that a united, independent Kurdistan, unlike today’s “anti-Western” mosaic of Kurdistan, could be deployed against Damascus, Baghdad, and Tehran. One option is that it could be either restricted to northern Syria and Iraq or a new Turkish elite would be compelled to sacrifice part of their territory in exchange for power and recognizing legitimacy. In the situation of a “great war,” this would be perceived normally.
And so, the ideal map for the West includes:
the division of Iraq into three parts (a Shiite South, part that will leave for a new Sunni state, and part going towards a new Kurdistan)
the division of Syria into three or four parts (one part goes to the new Sunni state, another to the new Kurdistan, and the costal part will be made into a miniature, secular and pro-Western state, or, over the course of trading, could be left for the Alawites)
a weakened, reduced, and more Western-controlled Turkey
The countries which the West would like to throw into the fire of war are Iran (from which Washington would obviously and with pleasure separate the northern part inhabited by Kurds and Azerbaijanis) and Saudi Arabia, which is heading towards policies more independent from Washington (this recent behavior of yesterday’s ally cannot but annoy the United States).
The ideal option for Washington would be excluding Iran’s north, which is populated by ethnic minorities and which has access to the Caspian Sea. The resulting strip would be turned into a land corridor for pro-American forces in Central Asia.
And, of course, the strategic goal of this grand plan would be the southern part of Russia which, according to Western military doctrines, is the “main threat” against which all measures are good.
If this plan is carried out from across the ocean according to plan as written and in a controlled scenario, then this would be entirely tragic for us. ”

Rising Turkish-Russian tension is putting Azerbaijan in a bind. At a time when low energy prices are squeezing the Azerbaijani economy, officials in Baku need to keep ties strong with both Turkey and Russia to help maintain relative domestic stability.
In the days after Turkish fighters shot down a Russian Su-24 jet on November 24, Turkey aggressively courted the support of Azerbaijan, Ankara’s closest Turkic cousin. Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu visited Baku, and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu declared that Ankara would “do everything possible to free the occupied territories of Nagorno-Karabakh” – referring to Baku’s decades-long conflict with Armenia.
If Turkish officials were hoping for a clear-cut declaration of solidarity from Azerbaijan, they were disappointed by Baku’s response. Top-level officials, including President Ilham Aliyev, received Cavusoglu in Baku warmly, but declined to take sides in the Turkish-Russian spat. The official Azerbaijani position is to regret the conflict between the country’s “two friends and neighbors” and extend a standing offer to mediate between Moscow and Ankara. Contrary to the official depiction of Turkish-Azerbaijani relations as “one nation, two states,” Baku subtly distanced itself from Ankara.”

US confused foreign policy: After Iran, the West considers Assad’s position as potential partner
Elijah take on things..
Moreover, the U.S administration and western media suddenly woke-up after years of ISIS usage of stolen oil to initiate another attack on the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad claiming he is “the only one buying ISIS’ oil”.
Russia has responded to the downing of one of its jets by destroying, to-date, a total of 1250 oil trucks transporting stolen Syrian and Iraqi oil from ISIS land to Turkey. It has imposed gradual, and still continue, sanctions on Turkey, cancelling some and suspending billions of dollars worth economic and gas deals between the two countries. The war in Syria is starting to take a different shape and size.

Israel reacts to Iranian jets in Syria…
Amidror: If Iranian jets arrive in Syria, Israel would ‘only act if they threaten us’
By YAAKOV LAPPIN

Ex-national security advisor Amidror tells Post Iranian jets cannot challenge IAF air superiority; Defense establishment remains silent over possibility of Iranian jets in Syria.
Israeli remained officially silent on Sunday over reports from last week that Iran will send fighter jets to Syria to take part in Russian air strikes against rebel organizations.
Maj.-Gen. (res.) Yaakov Amidror, former national security adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, didn’t rule out the possibility that Iran would be carrying out air activity in Israel’s immediate vicinity.
“Anything can happen,” he told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday. Israel would “not have to respond so long as the Iranian jets don’t interfere with us. We are free to dislike it, but if they don’t interfere with us, they can bomb their targets. It doesn’t require a change of course on our part,” said Amidror, a senior fellow at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies.
The Iranian planes, he said, do not pose a significant aerial threat to Israel, and could not challenge Israeli air superiority in any location. If, on the other hand, the jets act to threaten Israel or its air activities, the Israel Air Force “will have to shoot them down. There would be no hesitation here,” he added.
Yiftah Shapir, head of the Middle East Military Balance Project at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv, said the Sukhoi jets in question are “very old.”
Shapir said it is fair to assume that the on-board electronic systems inside the jets are also old. On the other hand, he noted, Iran has made progress in its precision weapons production capabilities.
Last week, quoting Al-Rai, the Lebanese NOW news site reported: “‘The Iranian participation [in the Syrian conflict] is headed for more advancement with preparation for the arrival of two fleets of Iranian planes,’ sources in the Damascus joint operations room of the ‘4+1’ military coalition of Russia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Hezbollah told Al-Rai’s newspaper’s chief international correspondent, Elijah J. Magnier.”
“Iran and Russia have agreed that Moscow will perform all repair operations needed by these combat fleets along with provision of the necessary ammunition and the development of the launch systems of these Iranian planes,” NOW wrote. Iran reportedly viewed the coming aerial intervention “as an opportunity for its pilots to gain valuable operational experience.”

In case anyone missed it US bringing democracy to Iraq..
The April 2012 issue of Harper’s Magazine includes “The Warrior Class,” a feature by Charles Glass on the rise of private-security contractors since 9/11. The conclusion to the piece describes a series of videos shown to Glass by a source who had worked for the private-security company Blackwater (now Academi, formerly also Xe Services) in Iraq. Clips and photos from the videos are shown below, introduced by Glass’s descriptions:
