NOTE: I got something very wrong during the interview: the purchase of Louisiana was in 1803 whereas the purchase of Alaska was in 1867!
NOTE: I got something very wrong during the interview: the purchase of Louisiana was in 1803 whereas the purchase of Alaska was in 1867!
So would have 95% of America’s students. Ha!
The memory key from High School US History is Seward:
“Seward’s Folly” or “Seward’s Icebox” and “Seward’s Polar Bear Farm”
William Seward being Abraham Lincoln’s Secretary of State 1861-1865 and Andrew Johnson’s as well, when the VP became president after Lincoln’s assassination, very early in Lincoln’s second term, and kept Seward in his position.
Jefferson, 64 years earlier wanted to extend the Slave Power of his Virginia Planters class….and did through the Louisiana Purchase.
Seward was an important part of reversing Jefferson’s Virginian dream….and worked an alliance with Czar Alexander II to prevail in the US Civil War ,,,,another way of putting into contextual contrast the 6 decades in between the two major purchases of territory.
Another way of remembering the 6 decades in between is that Napoleon needed the money from Jefferson to roll through Europe and make his greatest blunder invading Russia in 1812, whereas by the 1860’s the furs were in serious decline for the Russian American Fur Company, Russia had quite enough Asian territory to settle with no immediate economic prospects of doing anything in Alaska other than cutting costs and leaving….and there were friendly relations with America and very good reasons to maintain them as both Russia and the USA had the same principled adversary:
The British Empire
Since then, the Empire, which always included the financier class (Wall Street) of money grubbing Tory traitors have worked especially hard to erase the historical memory of all Americans regarding Russia as such an early and key ally of the United States.

Perhaps it’s debatable if Russia ever sold Alaska to the US. According to the late Sherman Skolnick, a delegation of the Imperial Russian Government visited Washington in 1866, when a deal was struck. Alaska was leased to the US for period of 99 years, from 01.01.1867 until 01.01.1966. Perhaps The Saker would like to comment.
Saker, Alaska was actually Russian territory, California consisted of outposts of the Russian American company which was not officially Russian territory.

is that not what I said in the interview?!
Great interview. Really enjoyed the in-depth stuff on the various unknown connections between Russians and Americans. I always think of Fort Ross (“Russ”) in CA, which was a favorite when I lived out there, and of course Alaska. Also, the descriptions of the various waves of immigrants. Great stuff, thank you!
Such a nice interview and an enlightening discussion…very pleased to hear two great intellectuals of our time…Dr Meighoo is a brilliant political scientist who has a very profound understanding of the historical events and the logical progression and impact of those events on contemporary world.
Saker’s analysis is – as always, brilliant and he remains great, according to me – because of his religious conviction and his absolute belief of faith in Christ and hence his upright moral compass – ponder over this fact – The Saker was black listed as a military analyst in his home country not because of his lack of expertise but because of his correct moral compass in rejecting of propaganda and falsehood.
It would be a feast to hear Dr Meighoo, Shiekh Imran and The Saker together. Really looking forward to that.
Peace and blessings of God to all these 3 wonderful people.
Interviewer used Saker’s potential to the fullest. Uniqueness of his worldview surfaced during conversation, which is, basicly, why I frequent this blog. Comprehensive and complete analysis of the geopolitics is impossible without the metaphisical explanation of the root causes for the mess our world is in.
So, in the end of every good geopolitical analysis you can always find, in it’s core, the explanation of the good and the evil, in the most traditional way. And Saker excels in this department.
Thank you.
Last chance for Russian membership of PACE perhaps…… Russian says PACE should drop its sanctions against it for everyones benefit…as we already know various authorisations have been made not to pay contributions for not being allowed full terms of membership…..election of General Secretary due in June ….so…..concerns already expressed PACE will fold if these situations continue …especially if Russia not allowed or does not vote……maybe EU is being put on a spot of its own nonsense making that it very well deserves…USA threatens more nordstream sanctions etc only continues the situations that surely EU must be confirming USA is no friend and must decide also their Iranian position…especially if Ukraine gas transit contracts etc all fall apart and EU faces winter with very much reduced supplies.Cold war literally?
Interesting times?
What diplomacy? Here are 36 countries the US has bullied this week
https://www.rt.com/news/460735-us-bullying-36-countries/
The USA bullies, threatens, intimidates, sanctions, subverts and withdraws from International treaties at the drop of a hat, then its resident psychopathic apparatchiki mount the podium and abuse China for ‘…undermining the rules based International Order’, and this prodigious hypocrisy and mendacity is not even noticed, let alone criticised, by any Western fakestream media presstitute vermin.
In an interview with The Guardian, Alistair Burt, former Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, who left office at the end of March 2019, has shared his concerns regarding Washington’s Middle East policy under Donald Trump, pointing out that in its current state it could spark a war.
“America at present does not believe in compromise – it is a case of hitting them in the nuts first, and sooner or later they follow. It is a not unfamiliar technique, and not always unsuccessful. And [Trump’s] proud of it”, he said.
Burt argued that instead of bluntly pushing its agenda, Washington should sit down at the negotiating table with other Middle East states, including Iran. He added that unless the parties find a solution to the constantly escalating tensions, they might turn into something far worse.
“If nothing changes, this is going to get worse and somebody somewhere is going to do something stupid and you will have the modern equivalent of the Archduke being shot in some nameless street in Sarajevo”, Burt said in an obvious reference to the incident that led to the outbreak of the First World War.
The former British under-secretary of state said that the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal with Iran last year has contributed greatly to the instability in the region. He noted that while Trump’s actions have been dictated by the urge to fulfil his election promises, there is also a “nexus of people” in his administration, who are openly hostile towards the Islamic Republic and who, as Burt fears, might be looking to conduct some provocations.
The ex-UK official named the US president’s National Security Advisor as an example of such a person. Burt recalled that Bolton has “long had a barely concealed aggressive stance” towards Iran and now he holds a major position in the White House. While the former UK under-secretary admitted that Bolton’s “heated rhetoric” might have some “genuinely deterrent effect”, a policy of maximum pressure won’t work with Iran.
“The Iran crisis cries out for negotiation, but instead of bringing parties in and saying ‘This is what we need to do’, the posture is ‘It is blindingly obvious that these people are villains and if you are not for us, you are against us, and you will have to pay the consequences”, he said.
Bullying, aggression and treacherous abrogation of treaties and agreements are the Standard Operating Procedures of US ‘diplomacy’.
What happened to the Solari intervie? Nothing every appeared here, and what is at Solari is a 5 minute clip.
I will post the Solari interview once it becomes public. Right now it is behind a paywall.
Kind regards

Untold story about China-US trade war
During the trade war between China and US, there are a bunch of Jews who are involving in it, taking different sides, and are playing a crucial role in information war. while some of them have writen articles about China’s Uighur issue and are criticizing Xi Jinping government,There are still some Jewish Guys who are supporting China’s every attempt to take down the US foreign policy.one of them is Nathan Rich, a Jewish US citizen who is also a technical executive at a Beijing-based company. he said “The use of the word ‘camp’ or ‘concentration camp’ has a negative connotation in English, which directly invokes imagery of Nazis and Nazism,” during the interview with Global Times.
For Rich, himself a Jew, drawing parallels between Nazism and the Chinese government is “totally insane.”
“It’s very strange – it’s just an overt attempt to use suggestive propaganda,” Rich said.
“Nazis murdered Jews who had done nothing wrong, but in Xinjiang, the regional government only tries to limit the actions of those who have committed crimes or are suspected of terrorism,” he said.
__Global Times report.
Recently Rich has became more active on Huawei issue.
It seems Jewish transnational financial capital is supporting China for real rather than supporting Trump’s stupid foreign policy.
Global Times also reports, 2019, the one-day China-Israel Investment Conference, is held in Jinan, E. China’s Shandong Province on Tue. Over 110 Israeli firms in the high-tech area are seeking investment in China via the event. More than 1,800 Chinese investors attend the conference.

Jewish elites always place both or several sides in disputes among the goyim. That merely reflects their tribal nepotism and traditional means to control the heights of their host societies, and normal human variability of opinion. There are certain to be many Jews who co-operate happily with the Chinese, to mutual benefit, and, probably more, who see China as an existential threat to their defacto global rule through control of the USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Australia etc. One thing for certain-Israel itself will happily sell-out the USA to China, as it has done many times in the past, as with the proceeds of Pollard’s treachery, knowing that it will never be held to account. The USS Liberty and 9/11 attacks prove that invulnerability.

Doesn’t look like Netanyahu will be leader much longer. In terms of cold war chess moves Liebermanns assault on Netanyahu could end up changing the world…big time
The pattern of history shows we are not in a ‘New Cold War’. The reality is far grimmer: the Cold War was the peace, a post-world war environment; we are now in a pre-world war era, supported by the evidence of increasing global conflict and chaos. The world has experienced periods of peace (or relative peace) throughout history. The Thirty Years Peace between the two Peloponnesian Wars, Pax Romana, Europe in the 19th century after the Congress of Vienna, to name a few. They all ended: followed by war. The Congress System finally collapsed in 1914 with the start of World War One. That conflict was followed by the League of Nations. It did not stop World War Two. That was followed by the United Nations and other post-war institutions. But all the indications are they will not prevent a third world war.

The A-500 seems a likely perspective changer.!
I ve just read a note reporting that Pope francis is gonna receive Mr. Vlad Putin in his vatican premises.
The details was the text reads the event will take place on July 4, 2019.
Well, were Pompeo and Bolton consulted by this casually misinformed pope? i m pretty sure the vatican didnot have any other vacant time in the Agenda.
I found this to be an entirely charming interview which brought me to tears, not only because of the delightful presenter, thank you Saker for doing this when you were still not completely well.
