I am getting a flood of emails asking me about the article Putin’s Head – Who will remove the head of Russian President Putin and offer it on a platter to the U.S.? (also here) I normally don’t comment any of the nonsense which circulates on the Internet, but this one seems to have a lot of people worried.
Friends, the key to the entire article is right at the beginning: “It seems that Russian authorities have found a way towards accommodation with the West. Liberals have become more powerful and are leading the talks“. Every word in these two sentences is utterly false. For one thing, Putin is “the Russian authorities”. His power stems from three sources:
1) He was elected by the Russian people
2) He is solidly backed by the “power ministries” (Internal, Security, Military, Police, Intelligence, Emergencies)
3) His current popularity is somewhere in the high 80%
In other words, removing him would be legally impossible, physically impossible and politically impossible.
Second, if anybody seriously believes that Putin is seeking an accommodation with the West then he/she simply needs to listen to his latest speech at the Valdai club to come to realize that far from seeking any accommodation, Putin is fully ready for a long confrontation with the AngloZionist Empire.
Finally, because of their failure to overthrow Putin during the Presidential elections and, even more so, because of the civil war in the Ukraine, the Russian liberals have never been weaker then before: they are associated with the nightmarish 1990s and they are seen as allies of any and all Russia-hating forces be it Wahabi Chechens or Ukrainian Nazis and as tool of the US/EU/NATO.
Finally, when the authors write “Russian “patriots” dream stubbornly of convincing today’s President to imitate Stalin or Ivan The Terrible” they are completely misrepresenting the ideology and wordview of the Russian patriotic movement.
This worthless article is a typical example of the kind of anti-Putin propaganda organized by the US: if they cannot demonize him, they at least show him as weak and about to be sacrificed. There will be much more of that nonsense in the future and I urge you all to simply ignore it.
The Saker
The admirers, followers and politically parallel to vlad putin in south america are growing in numbers every week.
I am absolutely sure that there is one thing or two in which the anglo empire leaders cannot even faintly compete let alone match the Russian: frankness, credibility, his non arrogant mood and will to cooperate with everyone to build up a better world. Russia is unconquerable like the taiga.
To sum it up, there is no MSM propaganda able to deal with facts and survive too long.
I have feared for the life of VVP since his election. The Oligarchs at home and the CIA, which made numerous efforts to kill Fidel Castro, abroad after his head.
Now I read that he has pancreatic cancer. After what happened to Chavez,I worry for him – and the world – more
As to concerns regarding Putin’s safety, please recall the disturbing number of CIA assassination plots and attempts against Fidel Castro.

dirty secret this article (hence unknown if author put a whitewashed disinfo view on it) is that remember we’re talking WW I era biplanes mostly, with no bomb bay, very limited lift (hence only small bombs of 20- 50 lbs all attached under wing), and manual aiming if it can even be called that.
so why drop one of these little things onto any unfrozen surface (where due to burrowing in b4 impact, impact blast is drastically reduced), you might get 1 casualty per entire bomb stick?
NO, they used low-level machine gun strafing!
many books out there clearly detail this.

Western imperialists have been bombing Iraq for 100 Years
By Nicolas J S Davies

The Ottomans had struggled to impose taxes on Iraq’s fiercely independent tribal society, but the British were determined to succeed where the Turks had failed. British fire-bombing quickly became a form of collective punishment for non-payment of taxes, even against tribes that showed no other signs of rebellion. Four squadrons of RAF bombers were stationed in Iraq, and tribes who failed to pay taxes were ruthlessly fire-bombed. A well-documented bombing campaign against Samawa in 1923-’24 burned at least 144 people to death.
The comments that followed the article overwhelming reject the assertions stated by the authors.
The west cannot defeat President Putin, no matter how hard they try with false screeds from so called “in country experts”.
He is strong, resolute and unwavering like a mighty Russian bear in his statesmanship initiatives for cooperation and peace in the region.
I republished the piece here not because I concurred with it, but in order to allow for comment on it.
I’m sure there are a minority of the “liberals” talked about in the original piece that would just love to offer Putin’s head on a platter to the dogs of war in the the U.S. and E.U., but they are a very small minority and are effectively a fifth column operating not in the interest of Russia but of foreign states.
They most certainly are not the “Russian authorities” although there may be individuals from among them planted as minor players in key Russian ministries. That they are salivating at the prospect of being rewarded by their foreign handlers for their future treachery is neither here nor there. For now Putin enjoys and enviable level of popularity amongst the Russian electorate and I don’t see that dwindling any time soon.
Dear Saker,
This article is indeed nonsense and I am sorry you have been obliged to waste your time refuting it.
The thing immediately stands out for me about this article is that one of the authors is Boris Kargalitsky.
Kargalitsky has been floating around since the mid 1980s peddling liberal propaganda in leftist language. Because many people in the west take him for a leftist he gets onto leftist media sites a more straightforwardly pro western Russian liberal would not be able to. Bluntly I think that is his assigned role and I think if he ever was a leftist he stopped being that in any real sense long ago.
The one thing I would say about Kargalitsky is that he has proved to be consistently wrong about almost everything in the 30 or so years I have been following him and he does not deserve the amount of attention he gets.
Best Wishes,
Alexander Mercouris

Russia knows Ukrainian signature is worthless, by making Europe be the guaranteer, they are the ones Russia will sue if they do not get their money.
the whole world must be tinder dry waiting for a spark, if i can find easily pertinent articles from a hotspot country few even know exists, Burkina Faso.
This news has 2 plot threads to it:
1. ebola scam & MO so obvious there’s writers predicting who (based on WHY)will be next for a surprise “outbreak”, followed by US military boot on the ground there.
2. topic of putin watching out for his 6 o’clock , look what happened here 1987:

In the case of Thomas Sankara, they bought off one his closest friends with promises of power and wealth and all the trappings that come with it. They bought off Blaise Compaore.
On 15 October 1987, Sankara along with twelve other officials were killed in a coup d’état organized by Blaise Compaoré, Sankara’s former colleague and Burkina Faso’s current president. After the coup and although Sankara was known to be dead, some CDRs mounted an armed resistance to the army for several days Wiki

Payment financed by IMF and EU.

For those who missed it, ClubOrlov has a very good overview on the importance of Mr. Putin’s speech at the Valdai conference in Sochi:
this is probably the most important political speech since Churchill’s “Iron Curtain” speech of March 5, 1946. In this speech, Putin abruptly changed the rules of the game.

Comments?”
Comments? Yes several! The Time reporter is despicable. The entire article is an attempt to whitewash fascism in Ukraine. It is beginning to end, full of lies and half-truths.Yes,Ukraine is not on the level of nazi Germany during the war.But where is a meter that says to be nazi you have to built the gas chambers. The Ukie military and private neo-nazi armies are shelling civilians in major populated cities. The destruction in some areas and villages looks on a WW2 level.Thousands of people have been killed or wounded in Novorossii. And all the reporter would have to do to see that is turn on Youtube or the Russian Press videos. Its not hard to find film of it.He knows its happening himself. But counts on most people not knowing about it.Since the MSM refuses to report it.There are films and pictures by the hundreds showing parts of the Ukie fighting forces marching under flags with nazi emblems. Some wear helmets adorned with Swastikas. And they recruit foreign neo-nazis for their forces.Their leaders make speeches laiden with fascist code words.Just how hard is it in the West to believe what their eyes and ears see and hear.As for the Elections. The 2 main out and out fascist parties did poorly, that’s true. But the others that did win are heavily influenced with the ideals of fascism.Of the 7 parties that won the most votes,5 are at best fascist-lite,1 is an oligarch party and fellow traveler, only 1 is not tainted with fascism. And as for the German scholars talking of their “shared” experience in WW2.One was the murderer and the other the victim. That is like the rapist and rape victim being thought of as having “shared” the ordeal on the same level. The USSR lost 24-27 people to fascism. And a huge part of the country destroyed for generations.Russians have a view of the rise of that scourge that the West can never understand. And makes no attempt to even try.The genie of fascism has been let out of the bottle in Ukraine because of the Wests action. And the filth of lying about it like Time has done is only going to make Russians hate the West more.I really believe it is time for Russia to divorce the West.Cut of dealing with them entirely.Follow her own security interests and if the West interferes, strike them and strike them hard.It might be hard for a couple of years to divorce totally. But it can and should be done. The West has lost its mind and only getting away from them can save Russia from that same insanity.Destroy fascism in Ukraine and don’t bother with any Western whining.
Uncle Bob
Well, I’d suppose that this is what they want to happen. In essence, though, this is a demand for unconditional surrender and Russia becoming a vassal state of the West, forever.
It seems that there is a genuine religious revival in Russia and the secularists of the West(who think that they should win all of the time), don’t like it and that is their real animus against Russia.
@Anon 19-38 30th October.
The link you posted is basically correct!
Colonial Empire is always monstrous in it’s attitude toward its inferiors…
casualties… called collateral damage today, are of no concern to the rulers, only obedience to authority.
Winston Churchill was colonial secretary at that time after WWI and he first considered using poison gas,
later incendiary devices were used. All of this is verifiable.
A 50 lb bomb makes tremendous amount of damage…. fire, shrapnel damage and and blast damage.
blast can and does, cut people in two or more pieces.

In Colonial British India, they were far worse!…Every time the monsoon season failed(ENSO cycle)
they deliberately allowed millions to starve, while continuing to export vast amounts of rice and grains
from unaffected areas.
You see… the Maratha/Deccan population were the only ones able to challenge the East India Company
military,later British military.

Yes, we know that these kinds of articles are bullsh… , but does the “normal” person in the west know? They probably just believe any crap MSM feeds them. They certainly do not read the Saker or colonelcassad, do they? We must break through the (dis-) information-monopoly of the MSM, but how?
This gas agreement has me totally confused. Are they accepting a “promise” of oayment. From Ukraine? How can Russia take Yats at his word, they won’t pay once the spigot is turned back on
How will a Russia get its EU cash straight from the source or via Ukraine
How much gets stolen along the way. In the summer 3.1 of 3.2 billion went into someone’s pocket.
Will Ukraine steal the EU money before it gets to Putin?
Would be nice to have a saker write up on the reality or fantasy of the gas agreement
I would remind and urge the US citizens and supporters must recall and keep in mind, i think, one
old proverb of undestructible and stone carved wisdom:
ONE always will harvest exactly what he’s planted in the soil of life.
This is ultimately true with regard to nations and powers as well.
And what have they been planting all over the world at least since the Tonkin gulf incident in the mid sixties?
I m not exerting moral preachings with this, it´s not my conduct, but ask them humbly to think it over.
Anunnaki, they keep claiming they can’t pay the gas because the users are not paying enough.
To some extent this is true, the gas prices were heavily subsidised. But instead of targetting subsidies to those who need it, eg POOR PEOPLE, they just made low price for everyone. The big beneficiaries of this, of course, are the people who use the most — factories, steel mills etc, all (oddly enough) belonging to the oligarchs. In some places this would not matter, because they’d get it back many times over in taxes. But of course these don’t pay taxes as they ship the money to offshore companies.
IMF studies show that, despite increases in 2010 and 2011, domestic gas prices are till a lot lower than in Europe… but they don’t see that wages are lower by an order of magnitude. If they charged equal to the current wholesale price of gas, for many people it would be more than their wages. What subsidies do exist today include “important workers” so 80% of the subsidies go to working teachers, police, civil servants, rather than to low or zero income pensioners etc. IMF is proposing 30 to 58% increases.
Prices for industry have just been raised by 29% but they are still paying less than the wholesale buying price.
Well, no news yet on who will actually hand over the money. I imagine Russia will want to be pre-paid. Europe doesn’t’ want to be turned off, so they’ll somehow make sure.
I believe the great military strike is underway. The U. S. military believes they have superior weaponry. Where will this be?
Not through Europe but in the East where Russia is weakest. Vladivostok and whereby they can have a secure supply line.
Think about it!
Anon they will not hit Russia. Putin told them plain, remember I have nukes.
@Joat I am glad you mentioned the Indian famine situation. I can’t remember the names of the States now, but there once was a crop failure in one State, about 25% of the crop failed, there was famine, a lot of people died. In another State a few years apart,50^ of the crop failed but nobody died. Why? the Governor brought forward 3 years’ worth of public works – ditches, railway lines, road building (hand rushed rocks etc) and ordered that the jobs on these be shared among every adult in every village.
No famine. Because, the landless people made their annual wheat-money by working on the harvest. With half the harvest missing, they were not needed. By giving them other work, he got them enough money to buy the wheat and not starve. He also slapped 100% export tax on, so they’d not try to sell the wheat in other states.
This is the solution to ALL poverty. The world grows more than enough food. Famines happen because people can’t afford to buy that food, if they need to get distant supplies. The dreadful levels of poverty in the US are caused by no jobs…because the jobs got exported so the LUXURY goods could be imported more cheaply. In the EU, the poverty is from letting in people from other countries to take the lower jobs, pushing out the local people. Then along comes the IMF and expect everyone to pay taxes,in cash, when half live a subsistence life with just about no cash. Then oligarch politicians come along and say the 47% that doesn’t pay taxes should not get benefits, either… never mind they only don’t pay tax because they have no income….which is also man made.

“Kargalitsky has been floating around since the mid 1980s peddling liberal propaganda in leftist language”
Unlike Mr Mercouris, Boris Kagarlitsky is a left wing activist.
Here’s his speech at the recent protest held at NATO’s summit in Newport South Wales in August.

As far as I know Mr Mercouris is an ex-barrister, who has reinvented himself as an expert on Ukraine and Russia on RT.

Kat-Kan is correct. Russia has what it takes to keep Western oligarchs from launching another Barbarossa against her. Western oligarchs are all-out swine and scum, sure, but unlike their rabid, drooling fascist kith and kin, they know the limits of adventurism. Consequently, it is the assorted lowlives in the form of imperialist über-lackeys that cannot contain their Russophobia which need to be dealt with. This judgement applies to governments as well as to organizations. Ukraine is a string case in point along with Poland and the Baltic (Brown And Little Tiny Insect Country) states.
Kat Kan, for a number of years US Imperial droogs have been boasting, in some high-level journals, too, that the USA is now so superior in military hardware that they would ‘prevail’ in a nuclear war. Certainly, of course, as General ‘Buck’ Turgidson, that archetypal US ‘warrior’ said, sure we might ‘…get our hair mussed. But I do say, no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks’.Contingent, of course, in that the USA launches a sneak first-strike attack. Fortunately the USA, being the ‘moral beacon’ of the omniverse, has just such plans. The USA has long stated that several countries, including Russia and China (and other non-nuclear states like Iran)are targeted for nuclear first-strike, whenever the ‘Masters of the Universe’ so decide.
Of course, essential to such schemes is that the victims cannot retaliate. MAD is so 1962! The glorious Yankee Herrenvolk have an unquenchable appetite for killing for ‘Freedom’, ‘Free Markets’ ‘Our Moral Values’ and apple-pie, but little taste for dying for said eternal values. So you need the late, great ‘Missile Defence’ system, placed on Russia and China’s borders, to mop up any missiles that survive. And you need a Western MSM of ‘Exceptional’ stupidity, hypocrisy and mendacity to peddle the propaganda lie that a system based in eastern Europe is designed to intercept non-existent missiles launched by Iran and North Korea, in the grip of some suicidal frenzy.
Never hear about Netanyahu being ousted though and I should have thought Semyon Mogilevitch might have fired him by now
USA and Russia cant trade nuke hits one for one. Both have a lot of energy concentrated on identifying and destroying the other’s missiles en route.
They cannot false-flag an attack by some third party, because that would be caught en route as well…and with a correct source.
All the boasting is just more Cold War rhetoric. They don’ even know what the other side(s) have.
And when push comes to shove…I don’t see any commander going along with an order to release 100 nukes on Russia.
