Friends,
I found no good map, and I don’t feel like waiting any further. So no map today, sorry!
Also, I need the rest, badly.
But, instead, Andrei Martyanov just released a very VERY good video. He really covers it all.
So, today, I leave you in his care, he explains it all very well. I have nothing to add.
Cheers
Andrei
PS: also check this one: https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/03/challenge-response-how-russia-is-countering-western-moves-against-it.html
Super cool! Plus, can you imagine Congress war profiteering through their insider trading practices? Well now, they’re all investing in energy and most of them have never done that before. Hmmm, you say. And they are ALL outperforming the S&P 500!
Plus, a live link to Oliver Stone’s Ukraine movie, courtesy People’s Republic of China!
https://fivegunswest.blogspot.com/2022/03/comedian-says-blow-me-to-members-of-us.html
I thought the Stone movie was good BUT (huge but) how can you leave out the Stalin/Lysenko democide? That has clearly colored Ukrainian views of Russia ever since. To leave that out really weakens his positions.
I can understand the Ukrainians going with the Nazis as “My enemy’s enemy is my friend” but it’s a failed political philosophy that should be left in the rubbish bin of history along with the Bolshevik one.
2 decades of corruption and then the USA destroys the place in 2014 to sabotage the sweetheart deal Yanukovych had signed with Russia. Say what you want about Yanukovych, he had the right idea. Take the money and consider it war reparations for 10 million dead.
“I can understand the Ukrainians going with the Nazis as “My enemy’s enemy is my friend” ”
I can understand that, too.
But I cannot understand adopting and escalating the “Untermenschen” ideology such that groups such as the Banderites shocked even the Germans in their savagery against Jews and others.
Truly disgusting savagery that you would think someone would have to be high as a kite on some drug to be able to even think of the grossness and bestiality of the psychotic things done to civilians–women and small children. There is plenty of documentary evidence of this. I think the Stone film has some. Although probably not that many Banderites were walking around with Super 8 movie cameras.
So, this madness was already there, I am afraid.
It was not really brought by the Germans, but just activated, like a virus hiding in the spinal nerves.
What do you mean by “sweetheart deal”?
What I have read is that Russia gave the Ukraine a much better, kinder deal for development funds than the IMF, which woujld have strangled Ukraine with loans that were basically unpayable.
Of course the IMF would never do such a thing . . . (s/).
I thought the Stone movie was good but they left out the Georgia incursion (yes, I know it was Georgia but I think should have been included) It was gripping. I was glued to my computer for the brief time. Saakashvili sucking his tie! Hysterical! They should have also done something with Crimea. That was also brilliant! The ending was sort of lack luster but I loved the exquisite scene with the children singing. Yes! That’s the way the world should be.
Andrei Martyanov, I always enjoy.
Stalin never committed democide against Ukrainians. Back up your statement. If you talk about the fake Holodomor, it was worst in Eastern Ukraine, where they are Russians who supported Stalin. It was just as bad in the Volga which supported Stalin. And in Kazakhstan which also supported Stalin. 1 million died in Siberia. People died in Moscow. A lot of people died in Poland! Did Stalin kill them too?
You have to ask why Eastern Ukrainians, Volga Russians, Kazakhs, and Siberians, Muscovites did not fly into a 90 year reign of hatred over the equally bad famine in their region? And if Stalin was trying to starve Ukrainians, how come he starved all those other people, his supporters, instead? How on Earth did he starve people in Poland!?
The Holodomor story is a lie. The story is that there was a bumper harvest and Stalin came in and seized it just to be evil and starve Ukrainians, I guess for protesting collectivization. But this is a lie. Instead, documents now prove that a wheat rust epidemic spread through the area, decimating crops.
Also there was a stupidity factor. They tore down the old system before they got the new one up and running again. The kulaks waged an insurgency all over the USSR. They killed half the livestock in the country, which helped cause the famine too. In particular, they killed so many horses that it affected the harvest because much plowing was still done by horse. The kulaks piled their grain and set it on fire or left it out in the rain to mold. The kulaks destroyed their own crops and then complained that they were starving! Idiots LOL.
In Ukraine in early 1932, kulaks were staging up to 20 armed attacks a day. They would raid collective farms, kill all the men and then rape and murder all the women. And destroy all the animals and crops. The USSR launched an absolutely brutal and vicious counterinsurgency, and 390,000 people were killed. If you want to bitch about that and call it Holodomor, be my guest.
Most people died of diseases, typically cholera. Sanitation was primitive at the time, and that disease often won’t kill you, but in a famine-weakened state, people were easy victims. People driving through Ukraine at the time found cities orderly but quiet with long lines outside health clinics. There were no people dying on the streets. All of the starvation photos of the Holodomor are fakes taken from the Civil War Famine ten years before.
Lysenko was never involved in any democide against Ukrainians.
10 million dead? Explain.

What was anti-Stalin hatred yesterday has been transmuted into anti-Putin hatred today. Please see the chapter entitled “COLLECTIVIZATION AND THE `UKRAINIAN HOLOCAUST” in Ludo Martens “Another View of Stalin” (https://www.pdf-archive.com/2018/02/25/another-view-of-stalin1/?).
Yes, that is excellent. I used that analysis in a lot of my research.
Map of Volnovakha area from one of the better sources https://dragon-first-1.livejournal.com/51632.html
careful here, dragon-first maps are deliberately UNDERstating the true Russian advance
but they are otherwise very good
That map appears to show Mariupol as essentially fallen, with Kolomoisky Regime holding only in suburbs.
That would be big.
The fighting is in the suburbs and only in the east of the city. The rest of the city is Ukie. It’s going to be bloody.
“Sometimes, the most important work you can be doing is to take your mind off the boil and get rested.”
The smartest man I ever knew told me that when I grew frustrated about how useless it seems to work trying to change humanity’s insane love of having the chance to have overfortunes into love for justice and therefore limits to fortunes.
Hope you never even see this comment because you are already seriously resting, Mr. Saker. We need you to take great care of yourself.
But if you do see it, please know that every letter o in it carries an extra wish for great health for you.
Thank you very much for telling us the real truth
Better than a map! Thank you Andrei (and thank you Andrei). Excellent summary and breath of fresh air.
Keep sharing and circulating real information, even commentary and analysis that pushes back on the hysteria being fomented by western press. Thank you all! Dan
No apology needed man. Take care of yourself and your family first.
Get some rest and get well soon.
Americans are so stupid, they don’t realize that Russians are smart.
Great dead-pan humor Andrei, lying on a hotel bed, my wife, who I didn’t realize was listening, (thought she was lost in her Tetris game) just burst out laughing, you had her in stitches.
Truely amazing how disjointed from reality westerners really are, quite stunning, exceptional hubris, should such exist.
Cheers M
Map the mind, apparently in order to get the heavy equipment across the polish border and into the Ukraine, the rail road wooden ties have to be replaced one at a time. So the knucklers are busily digging up each tie and replacing it w/ a new one, before they can storm and defend the battlefield.
And no doubt this is western equipment and funding doing the heavy lifting.
The machine translator seems a bit buggy. What are the references to the “Marijuana” area? Is “Marijuana” a machine translator mangling of the word “Mariupol?”
Also, what is the “eldon air force?”
Antoinetta III
It’s Andrei’s rather strong accent: he’s actually saying L-D-N-R ie Luhansk Donetsk New Republics and the Youtube auto translate software can’t keep up.
let’s send the Polish MIGs to the UKraine…provided those 40 warmongering Zion-stooge Republiscam Senators are in them.
Now that is a worthy idea. Make the idiot politicos fly in these MiGs and face the Russian fire.
Honestly, I wish Russia would negotiate the arrival of these old MiG29s with Poland and then destroy them as soon as they cross the border. How ridiculous is this whole topic from a military perspective?
You state things so clearly and with such knowledge. I am grateful.
I will mention a few things you are probably aware of – in WWII Japanese, Italian, and German US citizens many natural born (according to reports) were interned in the USA. I suspect that Russians, Chinese, Iranian, etc. and US citizens of any ethnic background that defy the “narrative” will be sought for internment or (well I won’t go there). I write this note for two reason – a) if you have not thought about this – please do b) if you have thought about this, perhaps it would be good to implement that action plan.
All the best to you,
K
Maybe it’s my Brit sense of humour that’s gone awry but I made a joke that we, Langley and Pentagon were all receiving our information from same source, Mr Martyanov, and it’s gone done like a wet blanket, straight into the bin. I’ll be careful in future and try to make my humour more understood.
One of the highlights of my week is seeing that cigar on top of that large tumbler of scotch(?) on the rocks, knowing I’m going to get a good half hour’s laugh, in between the nail biting.
Love the photo of the scotch and cigar also! Right up my alley with the exception of the cigar. Great pic. Sets a mood.
Unreal fake news. Getting caught red-handed :

I think these countries are making some strange independent moves – Turkey & France. Also, Israel is super silent in words and actions, perhaps carefully observing, directing or acting behind the scenes. These do seem to raise suspicions. Maybe Saker / Amarynth may have something to write about.
For some reason I can’t get any sound to play on Andrei Martyanov’s videos, but I have never had a problem before. This just started today. I can listen to anything but his videos! Am I the only one with this problem?
Now looks like terrific PSYOPS going on against Douglous McGregor… https://youtu.be/puTGnvN0mVQ
I just want to say after I have seen this video with Andrei Martyanov. I can see clearly now that I have two brothers. Andrei and Andrei. From the bottom of my heart I know my brothers are deadly right about almost everything they say and write. Fantastic. Living in west it became so sad but after this video I feel hopeful again. This is extremly important. Thank’s a lot.
Vladimir Putin has been (and is) very straightforward, but one can’t assume that whatever Putin says is the objective is the objective – because there are some objectives that simply can’t be mentioned directly, and you have to kind of prepare the ground for them, so you say – again – that if things continue like they are, Ukraine will lose its statehood (said it two, three days ago). When he announced the “special military operation”, he went straight into how modern Ukraine was created by Bolsheviks (minute 2:03), whom he already said were irresponsible utopians. We see him working in parallel for what may well become the real objective – that Ukraine becomes part of Russia. Present reality fits the conditions he lists for Ukraine to become part of Russia. It’s too hard to conceive that he can achieve his security goals by leaving Ukrainians in charge, or even utopian?
It is possible, and likely, that he had three possible objectives in mind going in (naturally can’t present all three!). This is only normal because circumstances change. The rest can be figured out. The parallel work for one of the other objectives is noticed because it’s about preparing the public to accept it. Doesn’t it appear, as things stand or as the conflict looks now, that his security situation becomes “worse” if Ukraine keeps its statehood? I think the answer (affirmative) is becoming increasingly more obvious.
He is going to choose finally one of the three objectives: Two possible ones are known from his own words, 1) denazificaton and demilitarization, and 2) loss of statehood. I say three because there could have been one more. In other words, it is only natural to speak of what is the formal/announced objective, to present a second possibility in parallel with the formal one, and to stay silent on some other scenario that is the least likely one. (There could be just two, of course.) It’s still just an opinion, but events on the ground “force” him to choose 2), which evidently has been always his own sense of how all this unfolds in the end.
Hard to imagine he would think he can take all of Ukraine. No, if he flies a Russian flag over Kyiv it will be in an East Ukraine.
Western Ukraine can never be pacified without utilizing genocide.
Okay, but both before and now he said “loss of statehood.” However, you may have stated the unstated objective. The top man of the FBS (Sergey) was reprimanded on TV when he said that. Those televised meetings, by the way, are absolute genius. Only Putin and Chavez have done it so. If he does them for all kinds of important meetings, that’s reaching for a perfect democracy. That’s not like “theatrics” as some said! We the people of the world appreciate this access (many thanks)! All should open their meetings like this. I want to see Zelensky’s meetings:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9A-u8EoWcI
It would help Zelensky to televise his work meetings. “Uh, we cannot say that on TV, it’s bad. We can’t say that either…it’s dumb.” Forces things to be good and make sense. That’s more like the real treasure, or pure democracy. The part when someone cancels my vote with his is at the lower level, not the actual treasure.
Interesting:
“¿Cambio de “enfoque” en Moscú?
Según el Elíseo, Putin “no tiene intención de parar la guerra” y sigue “determinado” para lograr sus objetivos. Asimismo, constató un cambio de tono en el discurso del dirigente ruso, pues no habla más de “desnazificación” de Ucrania ni de deponer al presidente Zelenski. Este coincide en destacar un cambio de “enfoque” de Rusia en sus negociaciones con Ucrania.
Kombobild Vladimir Putin – Olaf Scholz – Emmanuel Macron”
deepl translation:
“Change of “focus” in Moscow?
According to the Elysée, Putin “has no intention of stopping the war” and remains “determined” to achieve his goals. He also noted a change of tone in the Russian leader’s speech, as he no longer speaks of “denazification” of Ukraine or deposing President Zelensky. He agrees to highlight a change of “approach” by Russia in its negotiations with Ukraine.

I’ve forgot to tell my feelings about the need of today. I’m screaming out to all who will listen and specially to Putin : turn off the tap with gas and oil immediately to the west and specially to Germany. Do it right now I beg….!
Regarding France and Microns policy of sitting on the fence and waiting for the Germans to commit economic suicide first and then to win at least second place in that race. That decision is fueled by the chauvinists who hate Germany more than Russia or UK and nothing more. These people are incapable of anything more. He will try to present that as an act of statemanship and ride that wave for reelection or a very unpopular measure to be introduced. Fractures all around. Well, Russia has not yet unveiled their response to sanctions. Until then “children” (EU “leaders”) can play in the sand. When the answer is unveiled it will be obvious that the gloves are nowhere in sight anymore. O how the pigs will squeal then…
ref death sentance in Donbass…Russia has left European Council and ECHR…..so can set up death sentance for crimes apparently.
I appreciated your talk very much. I live in the United States and am an educated person (I think..hope!!!). There are many of us in the US that do indeed understand Putin’s talk just before the war started. Unfortunately, our leadership is weak, politically motivated, lie at every turn, and the CIA and domestically actually will ruin this country. I’m not sure I can trust your president, but I am sure I can not trust mine….and you better not either.
Economically, our leaders have made many mistakes with the sanctions that will hurt us immensely in the near future. But it is what it is!!!
I repeat, many of us understand the constant push and shove of our CIA in Ukraine and Putin finally said..enough. A new world order is being born..Russia, China. India, and many others through that Great South area…have all of what it takes to develop and grow. Not many see that, but Putin does.
I hope we don’t blow each other up…and I wish the citizens of Russia a good future.
