Well, here is the promised open thread. In homage to the heroes in Novorossia who are fighting the Nazi death squads every day, here is a music video about prevailing against terrible odds and a famous monologue from the movie “Brat 2”:
Вот скажи мне американец, в чём сила! Разве в деньгах? Вот и брат говорит, что в деньгах. У тебя много денег, и чего? Я вот думаю, что сила в правде: у кого правда, тот и сильней! Вот ты обманул кого-то, денег нажил, и чего — ты сильней стал? Нет, не стал, потому что правды за тобой нету! А тот, кого обманул, за ним правда! Значит, он сильней!
See you all on Saturday and God bless,

On Sunday, recently elected President Petro Poroshenko vowed he would end two months of fighting with rebels in eastern Ukraine by the end of the week.
Last week, however, the Ukrainian army suffered a series of setbacks in the Luhansk region and lost control of several checkpoints along the Russian border. Separatist groups now say they have occupied up to 125 miles of the frontier, allowing for fighters, weapons and other goods to move across from the east. VICE News headed to a checkpoint in Luhansk to talk with a Cossack commander about his group’s operations there and find out how he is “preparing for war.”
In the towns of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, shelling is on the rise. Some civilians in the area were able to pack their belongings and flee, yet many more local residents are unable to leave. From housewives, to students, to local farmers, all are feeling the effects of the continuing crisis.

Interesting account of behind the scenes at the D Day event.
According to the Globe and Mail, Stephen Harper and Barack Obama voiced objections behind closed doors during a Group of Seven summit to meetings that three European leaders have arranged with Vladimir Putin, private tête-à-têtes that they feel undermine efforts to isolate the Russian President. A source with knowledge of the matter described the gulf that exists between the North American leaders and several European counterparts over whether to shun or engage President Putin over Crimea and the situation in Ukraine. Mr. Harper and Mr. Obama asked what kind of message these meetings would send at a time when the West is trying to isolate Mr. Putin, the source said. The request from Mr. Harper and Mr. Obama for these Group of Seven colleagues was that «if you want to meet with him, this is the message you must drive and you must drive it consistently… here are the expectations and here are the consequences», the source said. They wanted the Russian President to be chastised publicly.
and then there is this:
In France Poroshenko said one thing while saying something different to Ukrainian media. Talking to Ukrainian journalists, he never mentioned his commitments stressing only the demands the Ukrainian President allegedly put forward while communicating with the Russian President. He said the talks were difficult including the issue of Crimea. According to him, the presidents came to accord on three points. First, a Russian representative will come to launch the process of peaceful settlement. Second, Ukraine expects the permission by the Russian Federation Council to use force on the territory of Ukraine to be revoked. Third, joint actions are planned to close the border in the areas of combat actions to prevent subversive elements crossing to the other state’s territory. A rather arbitrary interpretation evidently not confirmed by Russian President’s statements. The Ukrainian President’s inauguration speech showed he has no definite plan on handling the crisis.
So when did Putin order the tightening up of the borders?
What, I’m very much interested in, is how the latest developments in Iraq might affect the situation in Novorossia. Basically, it seems that the human liver eating lizards (financed and armed by the US) are conquering the shit eating lizards ((financed and armed by the US) in Iraq.
Is it some kind of biblical breakdown in communications !?.. A bit similar to the mighty Nimrod, who founded the city of Babel (later known as Babylon). He had visions of a new and powerful centralized government, and he built himself a lofty tower to consolidate that vain and dangerous vision. But Nimrod’s plans were permanently frustrated when his tower’s construction was halted by that well-known universal breakdown in communications. Or perhaps this just some kind of cosmic joke that goes nowhere?!…
Obviously, CIA, Soud Arabia’s and Israeli’s fingerprints are all over this and perhaps this is all simply meant to bypass Syria in order to run the gas pipes from SA to EU?!… Anyhow, I’m just curious what other people might think about it.
War is great… Where are the body parts?
Israeli propagandists taking over Wikipedia?
The only thing I want is the truth…
Saker,
I know I am off topic, but, if you have the time and find it interesting, could you possibly make a comment on the absolutely stunning collapse of the Iraqi army and the takeover of Mosul by ISIS?

I wonder when, after Luhansk and Donetsk liberate themselves from the Kiev fascists, if the rest of the southern and eastern provinces will follow. Does anyone have any idea what the sentiment is like in Odessa, for example?
It is also quite possible that the eastern People’s Republic will capitulate and be re-incorporated into Ukraine.
it is not so easy. even in the east of ukraine ppl fight each other. start to see things in shades and stop thinking black and white. we do see the end of things as we know them.

What are muzzies? Is that shorthand for muslims?
Americans: let’s start a new political party: the Peace Party. For the youth of America. For Occupy, for social justice, for the Tea Party, for self-defense. For black people, for Latinos. Against the War on Terror and the War on Drugs. Against foreign wars, drone killing, mass surveillance, torture and militarized police. Against corporate power and environmental destruction. For all the people of the world. A new global movement. Let’s join together with our brothers and sisters across the planet using the free internet and create a new future. A future in which each individual, family and community can work together for peace and freedom. Let’s start the Peace Party.
If we don’t choose peace now, we are chosing war – and that war is coming home from Donetsk and Mosul to the streets of America.

@Anon 2300
Did you just express out loud your hope for more revolution /upheaval in Ukraine after they somehow manage to resolve the crises in Donbass?
I think the average citizens of Ukraine have had about all they can take of “revolution” for at least another generation and would probably be glad to pick up whatever pieces of their lives are left and move away from all this chaos. Revolution and politics sounded like a harmless adventure before the bloodletting in Donbass, but no one in their right minds who has actually been through that crucible is going to fall for anymore empty rhetoric about patriotism/ Novorossiya/ People’s Republic etc etc after seeing how only the little people become pawns/ victims of the chaos left in its wake. I’ll bet the people of Sloviansk wished they had shut up all the hot air idiots who first stepped on the scene to promise double pensions and heroic sacrifice. I’m sorry but everyone here who has watched what has transpired these past couple of months should know better than to expect any any more sacrifices from those unfortunate victims who actually lived through it- especially if you’re planning on cheering from the safety of your keyboard.

EuroMaidanPR says ‘Na(Z)i onal Guard no longer needed’ while showing video (otherwise without comment but a fundraising appeal) of the National Guard troops complaining about being unpaid, unfed, and fighting completely off the books so the junta can hide the number of troops it has beseiging Slovyiansk from the Rada and the Ukrainian people (not to mention, the video doesn’t say, but if a unit is fighting off the books entirely this implies that casulties are also NOT BEING COUNTED which CONFIRMS what anti-Maidan sources have been saying for weeks about Kiev hiding its dead and wounded).
Seems their propaganda Narrative is developing some very large cracks, another reason for optimism. If these guys are already starting to mutiny now imagine what will happen if they come under artillery or Katyusha fire when Lugansk finally sends equipment to relieve Strelkov and attempt to break the siege. I do not think Kiev’s military advisors who think besieging Slovyiansk is going to lure the NAF out into the open where they can be blasted with air strikes and artillery plan will work any better than Erik von Falkhayn’s plan to attrit the French Army at Verdun or Hitler’s plan to break the Soviet Army in Stalingrad while his panzers raced for the Baku oil fields and the Caucasus.
One other thing I noticed: anybody wonder why EuroMaidanPR banks with ‘Piraeus Bank’? Is this a reference to a Ukrainian banking oligarch’s Greek origin, or a Ukrainian routing number that goes to an offshore account? Much like their WhoIs IP background, very murky. I suspect EuroMaidanPR at least in English and the European languages is totally State Dept/CIA run and will never go against the Narrative as instructed down from on high. Look at how quickly EuroMaidanPR shut up about the guys with red armbands at Odessa after first claiming those were actual Russian agents rather than Right Sector agent provocateurs for Kiev pretending to be pro-Russian burning down the Trade Unions House from outside to cover up the ‘wetwork’ done inside.

For those who like thought experiments. There was a guy at moonofalabama who was banned for being anti-Zionist called Mr. Pragma. He argued that Russia was making a mistake by taking the Crimea into Russia proper. He thought it was needed as the organizational location for Novorossiya. Once Novorossiya got established, the Crimea could always get to vote again or just be allowed in without a vote. Russia could have immediately offered protection to Crimea/Novorossiya, of course.
When you look at the problems Novorossiya is having, one wonders if a lot of the difficulties wouldn’t be significantly less if the non-war/safety parts of government were going on in Crimea. How can a government work on a Constitution or taxation/revenue when you are expecting an attack somewhere?
By the way, does anyone know where Mr. Pragma went?
@Nora re: Peace Party
The youth vote could get behind an anti-NSA, anti-war, anti-drug prohibition program. Poor people could get behind a platform that advocates economic justice beyond a $10.10 minimum wage. The new left wing should adopt 2nd Amendment activism, just as the new right wing is currently emphasizing the 4th Amendment. Using the internet, crowdsourcing, social media, networked, it can be done for free. So there’s a whole network of activists who are already behind those issues, you can ally with anti-surveillance, anti-prohibition, Pirate Party, Green, Occupy, the Tea Party and a lot of factions. Part of the deal should be to push towards a more direct electronic democracy – there are a lot of existing projects exactly along that line. Don’t have to meet, protest or win elections at first. Just start boycotts and strikes against any and all American governments and corporations. Each individual chooses their own targets. I think, get even 1 million people doing that and you will have enough power to start making some demands. The next stage after that could be tax resistance. Then keep on moving.
I think there are a lot of people out there who are already thinking and acting along these lines. Probaby 2 or 3 people could put together the tech, and then, let it rock. What do you think?
@Kulak:
EuroMaidanPR… their twitter feed is worth following just for the outrageousness of it. They’re constantly tweeting out eye-popping headlines, and pairing them with photographs that have absolutely nothing to do with the clickbait in question.

The bottom line is clear: Our vital interests in Afghanistan are limited and military victory is not the key to achieving them. On the contrary, waging a lengthy counterinsurgency war in Afghanistan may well do more to aid Taliban recruiting than to dismantle the group, help spread conflict further into Pakistan, unify radical groups that might otherwise be quarreling amongst themselves, threaten the long-term health of the U.S. economy, and prevent the U.S. government from turning its full attention to other pressing problems. — Afghanistan Study Group

Putin definitely has the character to use this to Russia’s advantage in so many ways.

Forget that new Party bs.
The conservative Tea Party people are already pretty organised, fighting patriotically and winning. They need reinforcements from the country’s moral elite urged by webmasters to invade the vile but intact GOP to bounce/replace the satanic societies scum. Strategically it is as simple as that. Any such movement once begun would turn into a tsunami of an aroused democracy because the public is frantic.
After the introduction of willie pete this morning you can be sure, mark my words, next the Ukes will use chemical weapons and blame that on our boys, as the west did in Syria.
For those of you who were shouting just yesterday ‘where is Putin, why isn’t he doing SOMETHING.’ Do you think Mosul is an accident, a coincidence? Do you think rumbles of serious trouble in Transcarpathia are coincidence? Do you think what is in essence partisan activities in Kharkov districts a coincidence? Do you think Hungary and Poland openly salivating at the opportunity of taking back some of their lost lands from the twitching corpse of Ukraine are a coincidence?
Methinks not.

To rebut the Saker, some bellicose Anonymice have tried sheltering behind Paul Craig Roberts’ name. He does not seem to agree with them.
He has just posted Juan’s essay Russians are sub-humans in the eyes of the West, and praised Putin’s diplomacy in a wide-ranging article World War II: The Unknown War:
‘… But this time France invited Putin to the Normandy celebration, and Putin was not too proud to come. Putin spoke with European politicians in the off moments, and these politicians saw a real person, unlike Obama, a total fake.
‘The superiority of Russian diplomacy over Washington’s is clear to all. Putin’s position is: “we are here for you, we can work things out.” Washington’s position is: “do as we say or we will bomb you into the stone age.”
‘Russia is accommodating to its client states. Washington is not. Putin says that he is willing to work things out with the billionaire corrupt Oligarch imposed on Ukraine by Washington, but Washington has forced the Bulgarians to stop work on the South Stream Pipeline. This natural gas pipeline bypasses Ukraine by going under the Black Sea to Bulgaria. As Washington’s new puppet state in Ukraine has not paid its multi-billion dollar natural gas bill to Russia and threatens to disrupt the pipeline to Europe and to steal gas from it, Russia, despite Western sanctions, made preparations for a new pipeline route in order that Europeans do not suffer from winter cold and have their industries shut down and economies collapse from lack of energy.
‘Washington sees Putin’s commitment to Europe as a threat and has gone to work to prevent any Russian energy flows to Europe.
‘In contrast with Putin’s position, Washington’s position is: We don’t give a hoot what happens to our European puppets. Like the rest of humanity, European puppets don’t count and are dispensable, mere collateral damage, in the Indispensable Country’s war for world hegemony.
‘All that is important to Washington is that Russia is damaged regardless of the damage done to the puppet regimes in Western and Eastern Europe, including the moronic Polish government, possibly the only government on earth more foolish than Obama’s…’

“We’ve known that our English colleagues have a unique ability to twist everything. Anonymous 04:13,
It’s not just who could get behind such a platform — though that would be a lot harder than you think given the current visceral antagonism between Left and Right deliberately kept at fever pitch by TPTB. It’s the organization and the actual activities that matter. You sound young, and even if not, you’re still very idealistic. And. That’s. Great., because most of the American public is basically incurious and inert. But to get anywhere against what we’re now faced with is going to require some very hard-nosed, nuts-and-bolts practical thinking and planning. It won’t just happen, and it categorically Will. Be. Fought. And the Empire fights hard and dirty, so forget about existing projects — they need their funding and won’t go against their benefactors’ wishes, and forget about protests and strikes unless you like being penned up away from the action, brutalized, arrested and otherwise treated like the terrorist all Leftish protesters are now considered. Protests haven’t done squat since 1970 anyhow except make the participants feel good for having done something. This is just a much bigger problem than we’ve faced before — it’s festered for so damned long while we were busy doing other things. But your Occupy-like fantasies — each individual choosing their own targets — certainly won’t work. The Tea Party model, otoh, despite its astroturf origins and roots, just managed to unseat Eric Cantor, and they did it by primarying him — meanwhile, Dems just wring their hands and theorize vaguely. We’ve ALL got to do better than that. The Tea Party, of course, is essentially a rightwing Republican movement and what we really need here, to rid ourselves entirely of this plague, is an amalgam of Right, Left and Center.
So I’m thinking the way to go might be to somehow graft some of your ideas and goals above onto some kind of Tea Party organization — and the resistance you just felt reading that, and that American Kulak will also feel whenever he reads it, is the very first challenge we face! But if both sides can somehow get to work together, and find the very best ways to present our complaints and agenda to the Great American Public, we could get somewhere. I honestly don’t think it could happen otherwise.
Your thoughts?

My take is that this is actually more of a problem for Maliki and Iran than it is for us. Iran, while under sanctions, is already having to divert significant resources to keep Dr. Assad going in Syria; now they’ll have to devote more resources to Iraq as well. Part of me suspects that ISIS may well be a stalking horse for Saudi Arabia.

Great minds and all that… I just responded to Peace Party suggesting pretty much the same thing — But. You. Guys. Have. To. Welcome. Us. Underneath it all I don’t think we’re all that far apart, but we’d have to get rid of our “fighting words”, set some serious goals and agree-to-disagree in areas where never the twain shall meet.
I do think it’s do-able though, but again, we’ve ALL got to compromise some. And I think some serious discussions about underlying goals are the best way to start. We’ve been deliberately kept apart, you know, and every time one of us, excuse me but dumps on the other side, they’re doing exactly what Our Oligarchical Lords And Masters want them to. I meant that while many thought Mr. Putin had abandoned Novorossiya to her fate, reality is he was and is working behind the scenes, witness of a sudden problems, major problems, for US/EU are popping up all over the place. Mr. Putin will not send in the Army of Russia. Novorossiya must win their freedom themselves. This they can and will do. The price in blood will be and already is very high.
Nora 12:34
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” US/EU/NATO are now in the unenviable position of the beginnings of a 3 front war, Syria, Irak again, and Novorossiya. Novorossiya is tying up an inordinate amount of their time and money and ‘experts’. Now Irak is going down the tubes rapidly. Syria is a lost cause for them, they can not win there either. They will try to fight all three at one time. They will lose. Want to talk about Afghan while we’re at it? Or perhaps the rumbles of trouble in west Ukraine? Or Poland and Hungary casting a covetous eye on parts of what is ‘west’ Ukraine? The icing on the cake for US/EU/NATO is the snap exercises Russia is doing out of Konigsberg on the Baltic, right next to the much publicized NATO ‘we’ve got your back’ exercises being pulled in Latvi, Litva and Esti on the Baltic coast and in heavier force.
There are no friends in peace and war diplomacy, only allies, however temporary they may be.

Nora: re Peace Party
I think it is an open source proposal that can be forked by both the right and left. I’m open to the Tea Party, to Occupy, etc. although my personal politics are more radical than either. So if we take some simple issues, like NSA (and all that represents), First and Second Amendment rights, anti-war and anti-corporate sentiments, we realize that most Americans actually do agree on these issues. Use a simple name like the Peace Party that everybody can get behind. As we know, there is a substantial anti-mass surveillance movement, a civil liberties movement that is challenging power through new encryption projects, taking advantage of the fact that foreign companies and publics are rejecting US tech/telecom/IT to pressure legislatures, bringing challenges in judicial venues internationally. What we can do is to get Americans to reject US corporations, i.e., Monsanto, Facebook, Boeing. And on the right to bear arms, whereas the right knows that the NSA/FBI/DHS has a backdoor gun registry, the left can learn that ‘gun control’ is not acceptable policy when militarized police and federal government are occupying American territory. Poor people, specifically black and brown people, can learn from the history of the 60s and the 70s as to how they might start to protect their own communities from the war that is currently being waged on them. And everybody can get behind: I don’t want to give my personal data to Obamacare. I don’t want to give my children’s data to Common Core. And everybody can get behind: lower taxes, higher minimum wage, etc. (not to say that’s a sufficient economic program).
But to address your larger point, I think it is great if people want to organize in different ways. Decentralized activism creates a base, everyone can choose which issues to support individually. And centralized activism creates another base. I think using the internet is key, I think the era of political protest on the streets is not happening in the US – I’m not opposed to it but it may be dangerous for activists, as we see what happened to Occupy and we can guess what is going to happen at the next Bundy moment. But the main thing is – ‘withdraw your consent’. That is something that is free, easy and legal, and requires not much effort, and maybe is a good tactic in the current American environment. And I don’t think it’s going too far to say that many, if not most Americans, do not consent to what’s happening around them.
But they shouldn’t feel powerless, ’cause they do have power! And the easiest way to use it is through kind of negative action, like don’t vote, don’t buy from whatever corporations, don’t give your data to the government, etc.
Then you can get into tax resistance, strikes, decentralizing power (which generally fits into critiques from the right and the left). There’s a lot of power in radical American individualism, just gotta use it.
Thanks for responding, I’m open to any further dialogue.
Il Discobolo,
I just heard back from Francis Boyle and he says it’s do-able but should be done by Russian lawyers who are right there on the scene.
So now, we’ve got to find one or two and plant the idea, if they haven’t already come up with it themselves.
Anyone know any Russian human rights lawyers?
Hey Saker, thanks for mentioning my blog on your SITREP post yesterday. Much appreciated.
I know at some point that the masses will start to crawl out of the woodwork while wondering “how could we have known?” And I’ll be armed with the proof that the truth was out there, for those who choose to look. Sadly, many are still choosing not to look, choosing instead to be lobotomized by mainstream TV and media, and government propaganda.
But having some enlightened people stop by to partake in the truth is a nice benefit.

Looks as if Iraq had requested US assistance regarding ISIS expansion in Iraq on several occasions as far back as 2013 and the US declined.
And it was so convenient all those US Humvees made it back to Syria- along with what else
who knows?

Okay, a progress report of sorts on Il Discobolo’s idea (10:35).
I think it lit a bit of a fire for Francis Boyle; we’ve been emailing back and forth for the past hour or more. His major suggestion was to work through the Department of International Law at People’s Friendship University in Moscow; he’s worked with them before and would be happy to again if they’re interested! So I Googled them and just finished my letter to their Dean, put it through Yandex and also included the original English version in case it got garbled.
He also suggested that Russia could sue Ukraine for genocide before the International Court of Justice and request a Temporary Restraining Order, and that I try reaching Lavrov. Uh, haven’t been able to figure out how yet, plus I’m pretty they’ve already gamed this out so I don’t feel there’s much rush, but I do think I’m going to try to reach his daughter and suggest it anyhow.
Shall keep y’all posted.
While an actual U.S. peace party seems unlikely, given the correlation of forces, there may be a glimmer of hope in the defeat Tuesday of the House Minority Leader by a Tea Party professor of economics, specializing in “capitalism and ethics”. According to Pravda-on-the Potomac, the winning messages were opposition to the Minority Leader’s “crony capitalism” – to his coddling of, and financing by, Wall Street banksters, and also opposition to his support of immigration reform. While the winner’s reported economic views — Ayn Rand plus the Protestantism of 1600 AD (Calvinism: personal success as a sign of God’s favor and election), are anathema to me, he seems to represent the Main-Street vs. the Wall-Street arm of his party, historically less inclined to foreign adventures (Senator Robert Taft an example from the past), therefore at least a step toward a peace party, if not the thing itself. — “Blessed are the peacemakers.”
(As a very old-line Anglo-American [1640’s Maryland], I think a case can be made for reasonable control of immigration. The pre-1965 law seemed about right, based on percentage of national origin, perhaps with a generous provisions for refugees – if we caused a million boat people to flee Vietnam, we owed them refuge. But since them we’ve opened the flood gates. I recognize that we personally, plus the nation we live in, will be judged eternally, inter alia, on whether we welcome the stranger [Matthew 25:31-46]. But there may be other factors to consider.)

Who has funded/trained ISIS/ISIL? Eh? New equipment, new uniforms (masking their faces — so that neighbors in Israel and NYC can’t recognize them) with pasty white arms showing through (battled-hardened arabs in desert?) WTF!? As another poster observed “ISIS just cleared the shortest air corridor for an Israeli attack on Iran’s enrichment facilities AND resupplied their pipeline route efforts thru Syria with complete U.S. deniability — all in one fell swoop”. The whole thing looks staged. Particularly the Turkish Embassy “hostage capture”. Except of course the MURDERS of civilians which are NOT STAGED — just to give the MSM something to feed the sheeple to gin-up-the-war-machine and send more trillions to the MIC. Next stop “false flag” nuclear explosion in a city near you! Maybe its because Hezbolla has been incredibly effective in Syria — and SA/Mossad (one and the same) have back-stopped these new “terrists” to take over from the ones that didn’t get the job done in Syria. BBC has been shilling for an Iraqi breakup since last week. You know — from Rothschilds lips to BBC mouth-pieces.
BO is pathetic — but at least there’s a hope he won’t do ANYTHING in Iraq. Let the mercs in Bagdad scramble to get out of Dodge — without ANY US assistance. It’s their war. Let them eat their own.
They have fuked with us TOO many times. Americans are not just “war weary”. We know we are being played by “our own” and have grown to HATE them. And shall resist EVERY effort to push-pull us. They’ve screwed the pooch. AGS
Nora, outside of actual organisation “we” do not exist.
The Tea Party’s development was unplanned by the globalists. They formed it to control both ends of the Nation/OneWorld conflict. The globalists made patriotic noises to fool the patriots who failed to grasp that they were meant to be the globalists’ fools. The result was that patriotic sentiment organised, and to this day have scared the wits out of the entire satanic societies’ influence—that has dominated the ‘democracy’ since 1776!
First step:- Tell every webmaster to nag everybody to invade the Republican organisation. This is the only strategy by which the Empire than be overwhelmed within any of the desperate post-Christian societies.
13:26 GMT: The National Guard refuted reports that phosphorous ammunition was used against civilians in the south-east of the country, its press service said. Overnight Thursday the self-defense forces said that the village of Semyonovka had been shelled with fire-bombs. Reports in the local media asserted that the bombs might be phosphorous. Much of the village was set ablaze. If confirmed, this will be the first case of fire-bombs being used in the conflict.

…and the European Court for Human Rights exists to serve globalist domination of Europe. It actually has zero jurisdiction beyond what 1% propaganda implies and force imposes. “War criminal” is a strictly globalist designation, thus globalist atrocities are never punished.
I have noticed that the youtube account which posted the videos of the first Sukhoi attack against civilians in the east has been discontinued.
I am not aware if the videos are still available somewhere else. However, the reason for their removal and of the user account associated could arguedly be some kind of censorship, right?

Hello everybody,
I am looking for ANY INFORMATIONS regarding humanitary help to Donbass people. For me it is no more enough to be just on a virtual help.
Do someone know WHO, WHERE, HOW and WHEN is there some “group” that are ready to go there ?

Dear The Saker,
Finally – Gazprom has said no to Ukraine and pre-payment only now:
http://voiceofrussia.com/news/2014_06_12/Gazprom-not-to-postpone-gas-payment-deadline-for-Ukraine-anymore-9871/
The “weasel” was behind it again. The only one politicising gas is the Banderastan Govt. and its US agents…..frankly I think they thought the South Stream attempt would put them in a strong position and EU would back them – looks like the tide is turning….
Good luck in court! if contracts are contracts they should be paying over so they may loose their discount.

“From reliable sources in Kiev became known that the SBU is
preparing a series of events that could radically change the public’s attitude toward
the new Ukrainian authorities.
What is this event? SBU, according to the source, is preparing a series of dramatic
and bloody terrorist attacks in the western and central regions of the country, which
will be filed as “barbaric acts of terrorists southeast against the civilian population.”
For ukrosmi already coined the slogan: “YOU DO NOT WANT TO PROTECT THE
UKRAINE, destroy the terrorists ON THEIR TERRITORY? Then the terrorists will
come to you and destroy you and your children in your area! “.
If we consider that Ukraine is under escort information, once again head format
Ukrainians will not be difficult. “
Please publicity.

Hello All
There are reports that white phosporus is being used by the Ukranian army on the people.
Today Ukrainan Nаzi (democrats, in Western terminology) have used mass murder weapons, white phosphorus, to genoсide russian city in Ukraine (demolishing Semenovka). Please find the footage 134892 at lifenews.ru
Why does RT keep silence when democrats genoсide Russians?
Can anyone confirm…

@ Nora and Peace Party suggestion,
This is a good idea in theory, but in practice what is necessary at the start is more forums and organizations that are explicitly designed to bridge the false Left-Right paradigm gaps and get Americans out of their culture war trenches and talking to each other and organizing for mutual aid. IMO all I see right now is the Ron Paul Institute for Peace with Dr. Paul’s friend Dennis Kucinich and a few other old school antiwar Democrats on the board, and that’s it. Maybe the Unz reader which hosts such disparate voices as Steve “human biodiversity and anti-mass immigration” Sailer and the ‘Ask a Mexican’ columnist who jokes about La Reconquista and how his father who came illegally and was amnestied by Reagan and Congress in 86′ opposes more illegal immigration! But that’s a website hardly anyone has heard of, it has even less of a following than the Paulite Antiwar.com run by Justin Raimondo.
Yes protests have been basically ineffective since 1970, but organizing both the ‘Left’ and ‘Right’ to call their Congressmen and urge them to vote NO against war in Syria was actually effective — at least when the calls were coming in 99 or 200 to 1 AGAINST direct U.S. intervention in Syria. So not all organizing is ineffective, even if Sen. Paul has definitely been a disappointment since his debut that cheered both the Cato Institute and Code Pink!
Perhaps in rural areas the best way to organize is “Redneck-Hippie Meetups”. I’m not making this up. You combine country folk’s love of self-reliance and preparation with the ‘hippie’ love of nature, organic food (which is systematically demonized by the mainline Right as somehow ‘food snobbery’ when it is nothing of the sort) and ‘back to the land’ ethos. Think of trying to recreate hippie-libertarian alliances of Austin or Vermont/New Hampshire or Iowa nationwide.

Strelkov’s latest dispatch, commenting on both the white phosphorous rounds and rumors about Kiev rolling chemical weapons into the region by rail:
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1s24238
Strelkov says his forces can hold, and water is being supplied from wells and the river, but attack is impossible without heavy equipment/relief. Strelkov also hints that Ukrainian forces are attacking in strength at Donetsk (IMO this is a spoiling attack because Kiev fears a rebel counteroffensive around the Bagration anniversary of June 21-22) while professionalism of tankers and artillery men is improving despite drunkenness and low morale at Kiev forces’ checkpoints.
From In the Now RT program, Jen Psaki asked by AP’s Matthew Lee about Ukrainian use of white phosphorous rounds at Slovyiansk, Lee citing photographic and video evidence. Psaki seems to hem and haw and dodge the question:

NAF T-64s in Donetsk — I suspect these will be used primarily as bait for the Ukraine forces not to fight other tanks on the front lines that can be more easily knocked out with Koronets/other AT rockets. If the Ukrainians try to launch an air strike on these tanks they make excellent bait for a MANPAD volley trap to shoot down more Mi-24s and Su-25s…
https://twitter.com/A_J_S_B/status/477179245211680769
Note the ‘hurrahs’ and whistling in the background over the roar of these tanks diesels. Looks like the stage is being set for a major battle for Donetsk which the UKRs hope will spoil any rebel counteroffensive around Slovyiansk after they moved their HQ to Izyum. Seems Kiev’s ‘friends’ among the NATO military advisors figured out June 21-22 would be a highly symbolic date for the rebels to go on the offensive and are trying to head that off.

D-Day & WWII – Familiar Myths About the Good War by Mark Weber
The great D-Day invasion of June 6, 1944, was a high point of World War II and of the US role in defeating Hitler’s Germany. The anniversary of this greatest amphibious assault in history is a good opportunity to take a sober look at some comfortable falsehoods and myths about the “good war.” The familiar American portrayal of World War II, and the “good war” mythology of the US role in it, is not just bad history. It has helped greatly to support and justify a series of arrogant US foreign policy adventures, with harmful consequences for both America and the world.
The United States has a gangster govt of criminals. The USA, billionaire oligarchs and European bankster families are the key players in these endless civil wars that they start. The same people who have started most wars, who funded the Bolsheviks who murdered millions in Russia. The same people. Hopefully the American, European and Russian people will unite to get rid of these crimianls.

Short item and video showing Russian flagged tanks and KamAZ passing through Makeyevka.
Convoy of three tanks and two KAMAZ trucks under the flags of Russia popped Makeevki in Donetsk. Video shot in Makeyevka. According to eyewitnesses, the tanks are now in the territory of Donetsk, according to “News of Donbass” .
Fact movement of Russian tanks in the direction of Donetsk confirms military expert Dmitry Tymchuk . “Across the border from Russia to Ukraine invade not only trucks and armored vehicles, but also tanks. Recent data: column, which included tanks from Russia, goes to Donetsk” – he said. According to experts, Russia is not even trying to hide the fact that its military intervention in the Donbass: “The Kremlin takes off his mask. If anyone has any doubt that this is a blatant invasion of Russia, I would like to see this person. interesting to see what it looks like the embodiment of naivete. “

The problem is Donetsk reported the capture of 3 UA T-64 two days ago.
