A very interesting interview of Syrian President Bashar Assad who confirms that Russia and the US were very close to war in April and that the Syrian plan to deal with the AngloZionist threat is to further beef-up Syrian air defenses. The man makes perfectly good sense to me. The Saker
This conflict was so close, most of you can not imagine. I live in a Navy town and there’s plenty of Marines and Spetznaz here, too. I said not a word to anyone during this crisis but I will say now that a week before this mess with the false gas attack hit, everyone knew a false flag op was coming and one didn’t see any uniforms on the streets beyond very serious young and not so young men going about their duties in full field uniform, and very few of them. In other words, the clans had gathered and were ready.
It’s patently obvious that Mother knew trouble was coming and the diplomats can put a sweet little shine on the event, that’s their vocation, but reality is Russia looked CehSha in the eye, told Foggy Bottom and Five Points what Russia would do if one Russian serviceman got a single scratch from the planned massive American attack throughout Syria…..and CehSha blinked. The result was that ridiculous face saving attack on two abandoned and one half abandoned Syrian facility that CehSha accused of doing the attack, the targets arranged with Russia in advance. The grin was most of the much vaunted cruise missiles, over 100 fired at three tiny facilities, got shot down by Syrian Air Defense. Of course, it always helps when you know your enemy’s target, but still, ‘antiquated’ Soviet AD missile systems and early model Pantsir units performed quite well indeed.
This war is far from over but the handwriting is on the wall. For the first time in seventy years The Empire blinked and pulled back. They will continue to attack and attack and attack, but the rest of the world was watching and they very clearly understand what just happened.

You are so right. Further, Russia will play the part of the Restraining force whilst Syria edges towards complete control of its own territory. The US and its Kurdish vassals will have to pull back as the SAA and the locals who refuse to be ruled by Kurds push forward.
The fight isn’t over by any stretch of the imagination but to a great extent the tables have been turned and the head chopping proxy ‘army’ paid for, supplied and directed by Five Points is on the defensive at this time. However, this fight will not end in stalemate as is in Novorossiya, this fight Syria and Russia is do or die. From the looks of things Five Points is in deep trouble and has not figured a way to gracefully leave nor advance it’s cause.
The end will be interesting and I have an idea it’ll be somewhat akin to the bug out from Vietnam. Victory will be declared, but the problem is when the other side is shooting at you when you leave, you lost.
Auslander
They lost Iraq and haven’t left. They lost Afghanistan and haven’t left. They have lost Syria and won’t leave.
The have repositioned air forces, ground forces forward toward and around and inside Eurasia.
They ain’t leaving for any reason.
They just renamed PACOM to USINDOPACOM to demonstrate the total oceanic containment of China (with the QUAD).
They want local wars like Syria in several more places.
Men on meth don’t think clearly. The Hegemon is on ideological and existential meth.
They are a beast that senses “the end” is near.
Unless they are actually defeated with heavy losses, the US will not leave.
They are adjunct to Israel’s defense and partners in Israel’s desire to be regional kingpin. That necessitates a war against Iran.
And Syria is the frontier of that war, not Lebanon. They are there and they are staying.
Why would they abandon their last big proxy, the Kurds?
Trump leave? Never.
They like killing Russians on the cheap, as they do with “sudden pinpoint artillery” in the East, over and over.
They have the F-35 flying in theater and want that to be the dominant air power. They ain’t leaving for all kinds of reasons.
Dear General Giap,
I must disagree! You stated that “They are a beast that senses “the end” is near.” and this is so incorrect.
They cannot see that ‘the end’ is nie, they never could. Brigadier Ted Serong told me that he was on the last helicopter to leave Saigon, and you could see the fear of those who tried and failed to get a ride on that helicopter. Ted Serong, besides being the Australian Jungle fighter tactician was also a member of ASIS & CIA.
What was it that we were taught at school, the war is not over until the last battle is won; you can lose all of the previous battles, but it is the last battle that counts. When you realised that you had lost the Tet Offensive, you were prepared to surrender, but then you saw that last vestige, the actual possibility of winning and that was what you went for.
You also state; “Why would they abandon their last big proxy, the Kurds?” Again you have erred. The beast will not abandon the Kurds, it will be the Kurds that will abandon the beast, if they have not done so already.
And as for: “They like killing Russians on the cheap,”, good heavens above, the beast likes killing any and everyone, just remember MH370, MH17 and of course the Russian Airliner over the Sinai, Metrojet Flight 9268. The one thing in common for the beast, the victims were all innocent, helpless and incapable of fighting back. Think of Dresden, Nagasaki, Hiroshima; the list goes on and on. Why even Dunblane, Port Arthur, Columbine, and the latest school massacre, all marks of the beast.
Yes the beast does like killing, not just Russians, but any and everybody that it can.
you are right, but in the end they will be forced to leave.
I am just sorry for the Kurds, they will be left alone, and would have to pay the bill of the party…
think about another million refugees leaving to Europa, and the Kurdish Problem in Syria forever solved, because they will be wash away once the Tide changes.
Just a pity for the Kurds… such a nice people but with such Idiot Leaders
Dear Anonymous,
I am not so sure that the Kurds will have to leave despite their leaders. From the way President Assad has spoken he could find it in his heart to forgive and understand their plight.
At least Assad is not another Master of Stair, something MacIan of Glencoe would agree with.
Aus:
Thanks for the first person recount; I very much appreciate it.
Assad, in the context of the orc’s puppet polticos of the empire, seems coherent, if not eloquent, at the least internally consistent.
The flapping lips of the empire, read Pompeo, Bolton, Nimrata Haley, Yahoo and even The Dupe, himself (though one is never quite certain if it is a large perception management program), all seem hysterical and neurotic; they’ve all been burning the denial system of managing their personal cognition so long, they can’t adjust to the reality on the ground, the empire is collapsing, and their actions, deep from the wells of denial, are kicking the collapse into overdrive.
If one views the cabal of psychophants thus, one comes to have yet another level of appreciation of the likes of Assad, and increase the the margins of error in evaluating public activities of the likes of VVP, and his team; they are managing an extremely complex and volatile clan of gangsters, known for preferring totally scorched-earth over denial of their exceptionalism.
We see the changing policy of the gangster occupiers of the Palestinian lands, to an overt war of disruption of Syria, repeating the chant three times per year, “… We’re after the Iranians… We’re after the Iranians… We’re after the Iranians…“, for their get out of jail privileges (aren’t we so clever!).
I’m hoping for more upgraded Pantsir deliveries, but I believe that new tactics could increase the effectiveness of the defenses.
Party on!
How’s the weather there?
Auslander,
Thanks for your analysis. I am new to this site and learning more about what’s happening in Syria. Could you say a bit more about what you think Russia told Foggy Bottom they would do if there were an American attack there?
Thanks,
Jackson

There is no doubt what was said publicly, what was said in private I have no idea, VVP and I don’t discuss those things when we have breakfast together.
Publicly, Russia said roughly what I posted: If you attack Syria over this nonexistent gas attack, we, Russia, will shoot down all your missiles, we will shoot down your airborne launch platforms and we will sink all ships that launch missiles against Syria, this to protect our servicemen who are serving with and advising Syrian Armed Forces throughout Syria.
When the face saving attack against the three ‘facilities’ was arranged with Russia, 3/4 of the missiles launched were shot down by Syrian Air Defense, the French contingent could not or would not launch missiles from their aircraft, and rumor has it that the lone Brit sub in the Med was maneuvering in to firing position when it got pinged by something it never saw or heard, just one ping, and when maneuvering in almost panic to get away from that black hole, it got pinged, once, by something else it never saw, therefore the sub did not launch missiles and spent the next two days maneuvering and trying to get away from the black holes. I don’t know if the ‘black hole’ story is true, but generally in this berg, rumors have a pretty good basis of truth, and I rarely speak of them.

I recently read about those 2 “Black Holes” preventing the rn sub missile launch in an article about a new class of Russian sub that construction is starting on. I think it was in Sputnik or RT, but don’t remember.
About the french, from what I’ve seen reported, one air launched missile “had a problem” and had to be dumped, but several others did launch. The french had problems with their ship based launched, as well. One ship failing to launch, another then taking its place. A 3rd ship was also supposed to be part, but with the snafu and working around it, the time window closed and they didn’t.
That story of the British sub being ‘pinged’ could be very factual. I had two friends who served in the Australian submarines and both tell of what they could do to the American fleet whilst on ‘war games’.
But if the boys at Sebastopol are correct, just imagine what would have happened in the corridors of Whitehall.
It brings thoughts of that old song, Bonnie Dundee; “So tremble false whigs in the mid’st o’ yer glee
For ye’ve no seen the last o’ my bonnets and me ” Is it possible VV Putin forgot to mention some of his submarine’s skills last March?
And next time ye are having breakie with the gentleman, could you request from him that Canberra also hear a ping or two, should they run with the foxes?
I’d appreciate that, as would most Australians.
Dear Auslander,
Lovely to read you again! I enjoy your comments.
As for Assad, how does he compare with the leadership of the belligerent Americans, or the deceitful British? Calm collected, honest and with integrity, and a devotion to his country and its people.
You would have noted that the interviewer was a Sunni, and stated so along with the fact that at least one of his ‘cousins’ had opposed Assad.
I think it was Eisenhower who said, “Speak softly but carry a big stick.” Well Assad is speaking softly and he has a very big stick, in fact a few big sticks, one being VV Putin who realised his error in allowing the Zionists to destroy Libya and murder Gadhafi.
What this simply means is that every country, Russia, Chine, Iran Syria, Lebanon, even the DPRK and their leaders and all the people know the fate that awaits them if they stand up to the bully. But they also know the fate of those who joined with the bully as in Saddam Hussein which leaves them no alternative.
” ….. Putin who realised his error in allowing the Zionists to destroy Libya and murder Gadhafi ” .
Russia is not a policeman , and not a God to save countries from NATO / Zionist /Satan . Libya even didn’t
invite /ask Russia for help .
Secondly, Russia was not militarily , economically and politically ready to help Libya at that time . Remember what kind of years it were ? Russia was hardly surviving herself after 2008 .
Hi Auslander,
I live in St. Petersburg, and when the incidents in April were happening, many trains were passing by my town at night, headed west. They were very heavy and loud, and the rumour is that they were loaded with tanks and military equipment. They still haven’t come back the other way yet.
Kolya
Not much was moving here after the first two days, everything was apparently positioned where it should be. However, one could feel the, not tension, not fear, but determination. No one was running around in panic, everything was calm, but the change in numbers of military on the streets was obvious, as was the change in uniform. There were also things that are normally easily visible from the streets and roads that were not there. All has returned to normal now.

Russia and current US admin don’t want and won’t get into conflict in Syria. They coordinate, meaning they are hand in hand. Netanyahu’s visit to Russia proved beyond any doubt to which western “camp” Putin really belongs to. On the opposite side, the other western “camp” has a different agenda and interests. You may call it the neocons, if you wish so. I prefer to call this camp the “House of Royals” or HR. We may call the opposing western camp the “Yankee Doodle” or YD. Calling the west simplistically as a single entity such as US under Zionist control or anglo-zionist does not cut it and does not explain the whole situation, on contrary causes a lot of confusion. However bear in mind that both major “camps” are close to the zionist cabal. The ultimate game is which western camp will be enthroned as the western king in the forthcoming “Bi-Polar” (NOT Multi-polar) world order between the West vs China. Russia with Putin sees itself belonging firmly to the Western pole (also by his own admissions).
The HR prefers unconditional destruction and partition of Syria simply due their geopolitical agenda, related mainly to their power politics, which involves obviously control of oil. The YD camp accepts Assad but with the condition that Iran should get out of there. Royal camp wants a conflict between US and Russia and the ultimate elimination of Russian influence. They actually seem to get Russia the way they did during the Yeltsin years.
Thus we see bunch of false flags in Syria. What Assad is meaning by conflict must be just that.
The end all and be all reason for the attempted overthrow of Syrian government was to put massive pipelines from the peninsula through Irak and Syria to the Med coast and thence to Europe, this to cut back as much as possible on the flow of NG and POL from Russia to Europe. In other words, the destruction of Syria was an economic attack on Russia. Syria was against this conduit for black gold and the fight was on.
Your reading of President Putin is, in my opinion, about 180 degrees off.
Auslander
What if I tell you that I agree 100% with your assessment regarding economic attack on Russia? If I am with you then I cannot be 180 degrees off. The problem with many on the Alt-Med like yourself (IMHO), is that many seems to believe that there is one single entity called the “evil” Empire (or Anglo-zionist Empire) which attacks Russia and Putin. This I oppose, as this theory falls short on so many fronts to explain real events unfolding.
What I say is, that Putin (thus Russia) is firmly embedded into one western camp (the Yankee Doodle camp), while he (thus Russia) is under attack by the opposite western camp (the House of Royals). There is no such thing as Russia aligning with China (the East Kingdom), may be only in the idealistic dream of Euroasianist and Russian traditionalists.
I agree that there’re multitudes of “evil camps” that constitute the Zionist centered empire. I also think that Russia, due to its size and history, wants to deal with the East Kingdom and the West one on absolutely equal terms. It is simple, Russia is the Wets, and the East rolled into one. If Russia is to choose only one, it will lose regardless of which side it is. Double headed eagle represents the East and the West. Russia has to choose both sides, not just one, and this is exactly what Putin is trying to achieve.
Hi
Some call it the “Balancing Act”, I call it the ball juggling. Hope he does not drop any balls. Regards
There is just one huge ball. Russia can lift it and hold it…as long as those slippery entities that are attached to to it don’t wiggle too much.
“Yankee Doodle” camp and “HR” camp? What on earth are they? You’ve added to the confusion rather than clarifying an already complex situation with your assessment of Cold War 2.0 I’m afraid.
What you’ve said is a good description of the factions — and there could be more than two — within the US regime on how to deal with Russia at large, and in Syria in particular. It is purely an American point of view but you are correct when you say that both factions are close to the Zionist cabal. In fact they’re both trying to advance not America’s interest but the interest of the Zionist entity in the Middle East.
What makes you think the Russians want to play the ‘game’ as you describe it? We also need to look at things from the Russian point of view. Although he seldom uses the term ‘multipolar’, Putin has been saying for the past 15 years that he wants in effect to see a multipolar world emerging in the future. Russia doesn’t want to take it upon itself to be the sole anti-Hegemon but rather she wants to see others resist the Hegemon with her, ie to see the rise of several anti-Hegemons, the countries in Brics for instance, and even Europe. These anti-Hegemons don’t necessarily have to fight proxy wars with the Hegemon like what Russia is doing; it is enough that they resist it.To that end RF has no problems working with the Hegemon’s friends in order to prise them away from it. We can see the end result of that beginning to appear in Turkey and Europe. China is doing it. Lula’s and Rousseff’s Brazil did it, and Brazil could do it again — the Resistance in Brazil have suffered a reversal in fortune but the position of the Hegemon’s man in Brazil, Michel Temer, doesn’t exactly look too good at the moment. India under Modi has abandoned its traditional non-aligned stance and is cosying up to the US but it’s still early days yet and India may have a rethink.
So you see, Putin is not in the ‘Yankee Doodle’ or ‘Dixie’ or ‘Royalist’ camp; he’s in the ‘Mother Russia’ camp. And I say that because actually RF is working with the Hegemon’s friends so that one day they’ll wake up and think, ‘Hey, a multipolar world is not a bad proposition at all.’ And that will be the end of the Hegemon.
basil
Hi Basil
Today “Yankee Doddle” announced tariffs on Aluminum and Steel against EU, Mexico and Canada. Russia’s Ruskal is off the list. On contrary Yankee Doddle announced a few weeks ago that they will ease off sanctions against this Company (world biggest Aluminum producer run by Putin’s buddies Deripaska and Abramovich). The “House of Royals” must be fuming. Maybe another clue to clarify the “complex” situation. Regards.
Yes, the situation is complex isn’t it? Are the two the same? Sanctions and tariffs? Rusal is already under sanctions. Tariffs are for things that people in the US want to buy (import). I don’t think anybody in the US wants to deal with Rusal much less buy its aluminium (from whatever country it is produced), so how can it appear on the tariffs list?
Trump is trying to wring concessions from US’s trading partners by slapping tariffs. He’s used tariffs so much that it could be said that he’s using tariffs as a tool of foreign policy.
Deripaska, is still not off the hook. In fact to get off the hook, he’ll have to lose control of Rusal. Once he relinquishes control of Rusal, the stated aims of the US sanctions, to punish people close to Putin, will be met. How does that help Putin who is supposedly in the (your definition) ‘Yankee Doodle’ camp that slapped tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and EU but not Rusal? In other words, the ‘Yankee Doodles’ didn’t impose tariffs on the three while excluding Rusal in order to help Yankee Doodle Putin as you imply.

VVP only belongs in one big camp. And Netanyahu was taken to Russia while SAA was about to destroy ‘Israel’s’ super secret Unit 9900 in Golan with a missile attack among other targets.
If you really want to understand how Russians work you would need to study harder and not engage into reaching conclusions so easily.

Some of the interview material covered by this article.
Israel in panic over losing their ‘dear’ ISIS & Al-Nusra terrorists in Syria – Assad
https://www.rt.com/news/428305-assad-israel-strikes-threats/
“Over the last couple of months, Israel has intensified its bombing of military infrastructure in Syria, arguing that the Iranian presence in the Arab Republic jeopardizes its own national security. However, Israel’s justification for its air strikes based on alleged Iranian assets is a “lie,” Assad told RT’s Murad Gazdiev in an exclusive interview.
“We don’t have Iranian troops,” Assad said. “We always said that we have Iranian officers, but they work with our army, we don’t have [Iranian] troops.”
Some Israeli politicians have threatened to “liquidate” Assad and topple his government if Iran continues to operate in Syria and transfer weapons to the Lebanese Hezbollah. The Syrian president, however, has made it clear that he is not afraid of the threat.
“The Israelis have been assassinating, killing, occupying for decades now, for around seven decades, in this region, but usually they do all this without threatening. Now, why do they threaten in this way? This is panic, this is a kind of hysterical feeling because they are losing the ‘dear ones,’ the dear ones Al-Nusra and ISIS, that’s why Israel is panicking recently, and we understand their feeling,” Assad said.
Rejecting claims that Syria’s air defenses are practically useless against Israeli jets, the 52-year-old Syrian leader said the old Soviet weapons were capable of repelling numerous IAF strikes and the US-led bombardment in April, when the US, Britain, and France fired over 100 cruise missiles at Syria.
“Our air defense is much stronger than before, thanks to the Russian support and the recent attacks by the Israelis and by the Americans and British and French proved that we are in a better situation” than at the start of the civil war seven years ago, he said.
To protect the sovereignty of Syria, Assad vowed to “improve our air defense, this is the only thing we can do, and we are doing that.”
Assad also said that crippling Syria’s air defenses was one of the original tactics used by the “mercenaries” at the beginning of the conflict, and that it was never designed to aid the “peaceful demonstrators,” but would certainly help in case of a foreign military intervention to depose the government.
“So, they attacked those bases, and they destroyed a big part of our air defenses,” he said, arguing that Israel continues to take advantage of that to this day. “This is the other proof that Israel was in direct link with those terrorists in Syria.”
I thought of this War and Peace quote when trying to understand Putin’s recent behavior:
“”They must understand that we can only lose by taking the offensive. Patience and time are my warriors, my champions,” thought Kutuzov. He knew that an apple should not be plucked while it is green. It will fall of itself when ripe, but if picked unripe the apple is spoiled, the tree is harmed, and your teeth are set on edge. Like an experienced sportsman he knew that the beast was wounded, and wounded as only the whole strength of Russia could have wounded it, but whether it was mortally wounded or not was still an undecided question.”
The Saker seemed depressed and a lot of people were upset but Putin knows that all he has to do is play for time. America backed down, Israel and KSA lost their boots on the ground in Syria and the empire is on the retreat. All that’s left is to reconcile the people on the ground and help the invaders on their way out as Assad said.
Yes, I also see that VVP is playing for time. The opponents are in a state of chaos, making foolish moves, losing credibility. Russia’s defensive weapons announced March 1 are not all fully operational yet. I feel that his patience will be rewarded.
US-Backed Militias Plundering, Smuggling Syria’s Crude Oil

Of course they are…
…working the rusty pumps by hand. Loading leaky canisters on run-down trucks. Driving hundreds of miles first through the desert, then up and down the hills and mountains of ‘Kurdistan’ into Turkey. And so on. I hope you get the drift. This is not a viable business model. Knuckleheads trying to be smart.
Considering there are all the proofa of outside interference….supplies of arms to illegal organisations by outside countries…is there no chance of suing for war reparations? Any other ways…like holding a few thousand usa soldiers to ransom by pointing a load of missiles directly at al tanf and the other illegal bases?
“suing for war reparations …” Where ? International Criminal Court is also hijacked by criminals, as all the rest international institutions .
Don’t know if others have noticed this, but look at the number of times israeli critters have been negotiating with the Russians. Look at the frequency of Russian-pindo negotiations in comparison. I’m talking about Mideast geopolitics mainly.
Notice something?
Not much Russian-american talks going on, a wealth of Russian-israeli. What does that say?
The Russians have cut out the middle man and are talking to his owner instead. An unremarked, subtle change, but nevertheless, a sea change, in my opinion.
Yes, sea change indeed.
Putin once said that he didin’t know who to talk to in the US regime. I guess VVP was too polite to say that Trump is not in control of the regime and RF would do better to look elsewhere.
This article (1 June 2018) by MV Bhadrakumar is interesting; it gives a good insight of the nuanced relationships in Syria and ME.
http://www.atimes.com/article/russia-censures-iran-expects-israel-to-help-restore-ties-with-us/
But the headline, “Russia censures Iran, expects Israel to help restore ties with US” about Israel’s role vis-a-vis the US says it all. Russia is dealing direct with the ZOG’s masters. Maybe that’s what was discussed by VVP and Bibi on V-Day.
basil
@ Auslander @ vot tak
Remarks spot on. – Assad is the voice of authority: FUKUS stood down. That is the end of all the talk to the contrary. Trolls are at the end of their rope on that one. There are immense implications, but I do not think it is prudent to talk or speculate in public because commenters are indeed part of the game and should avoid any interference in the work of the professionals who are doing the real work.
On one point, however, I think it is possible to think out loud without endangering anything. – We can review Israel’s dilemma, with analytical empathy, even before the April missile attack. Consider any of a number of scenarios, including a full-scale US invasion of Syria to replace the decimated terrorist “boots on the ground” with US forces directly: even in that case, the US loses by being ground into minced meat by well-equipped Syrians and allies who know how to fight, and Israel loses, because the defense would have to hit staging areas (US carrier groups don’t suffice, nor does Jordan) and missile platforms. If the US did not go in full-force, the past has proven to the Israeli General Staff that air superiority is no guarantee for victory, not even a draw, and that superiority is now more questionable than ever in the past. Politically it might seem comforting at first glance to have the US confront Iran, but if it comes to a fight, Israel ceases to exist. The same cannot be said of Iran. In that event, the US might proclaim its good and tough will to defend Israel, but its capacity to do so was in doubt even before the April attack. Now there is no longer any doubt. I see no need at the moment to work through the details of the red lines. The guarantor of Israeli security is therefore Moscow. That was the case even before the April attack, but now it is clearer than obvious.
If this is true, i.e., if it is understood, it proves the sagacity and wisdom of VVP, and it proves that even the most recalcitrant can learn. — Oh, not to forget: it also proves that a lot of key people understand VVP does not bluff. — If this is so, a new Israel face on Gaza will serve as confirmation (in addition to the southern Syria “deal” being hammered out now.”
Magnier has a new article up: https://syria360.wordpress.com/2018/05/31/south-syria-to-return-within-the-control-of-damascus-with-or-without-a-russian-israeli-deal/.
Its easy to forget, because it runs counter to what’s in the broadcasts of the daily Two Minute Hates. But its good to listen to him and remember that he was once a London eye doctor before his father died and he inherited power. Which of course is one reason why he is never, ever seen on the 24/7 Two Minute Hate channels in the west.
Great interview with Assad, thanks for the broadcast. It should be seen by everyone.
I found President Assad’s discussion of what happens to bused AQ in Idlib Province amazing.
Rusia reaches an agreement with Israel, to deny the Iranians access to the Golan cease-fire line, by imposing a 15-mile buffer and Israel will allow Syria to bus AQ currently there to the Turkish border-province of Idlib.
When asked about the wisdom of concentrating AQ in Idlib, President Assad says that many / most of the fighters were recruited from abroad — to defend Sunnis from hostile Syrians — and these AQ are questioning their activity in a country where Shia / Sunni / Alawis have multiple, friendly interactions in the market, local schools, hospitals, volunteer charities and such.
As a consequence, “Reconciliation” teams (he did not say Russian-Chechens-Sunnis) in Idlib were purchasing air tickets and helping many of the former fighters to return home (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia et al). All in all, a peaceful way to defuse the issue.
To the uncertainty of earlier commentators about the future of Syria, it sure looks like outside enablers will run out of currently paid “boots-on-the-ground,” combined with poor prospects of recruiting a new generation as these former AQ return to Pakistan, Iraq, Indonesia etc and speak of their findings.
Good evening Saker,
Below is an interview given today by the President al-Assad to Mail on Sunday in case you would like to listen to it.
https://sana.sy/en/?p=139864
Thank you very much for your work!
