You probably have heard that Russian moved almost the entire Caspian Flotilla to the Black Sea, including quite a few amphibious assault ships. What you might not know is that Russia also moved two Large Landing Ships (“dock landing ships”) through the Mediterranean, across the Bosporus, also into the Black Sea. Right now, the Black Sea Fleet has strongly increased its amphibious assault capabilities.
Does that mean that Russia will attack?
Does that mean that Russia is planning an amphibious assault?
Not necessarily.
Of course, I am not privy to the Russian plans, but I can speculate about one interesting option: the real goal of these moves might be to force the Ukrainian to keep forces stationed along the coast to try prevent a Russian amphibious assault (not that I believe that any combo of Ukie forces could do that). The more forces are guarding the coast, the less forces are available for an attack on the LDNR. Also, since the Ukies (and the US+NATO) can easily track these ships, the Russians could decide to march them up and down the Ukrainian coast in order to a) keep the Ukrainian guessing where the supposed landing might be and b) to have these forces ready to support a LDNR or even Russian push towards Mariupol and further (Nikolaev, Odessa).
By the way, Russia has also closed the Kerch strait to military vessels until October, meaning that while the Russians have increased their mobility and options, they have also severely curtailed the Ukrainian options: the Ukie navy is basically a flock of sitting ducks expecting to be blown up in port.
Considering that there are Russian forces in Belarus too, you could say that Russia already a prepared a massive, country-wide, “cauldron” for the Ukronazi forces: the Ukraine is surrounded on 3 sides and that leaves the Ukronazis only one option open: run for their lives towards the west. Finally, Russia does not need to physically block the one direction still open. The Russian military can shut this potential cauldron on its western side not by using manpower but by using long range strikes. This kind of use of fire in the Russian military doctrine is called “control by fire” and is much simpler and quicker to execute than a ground operation: all these notions of ground forces “pincers” having to reach towards each other is WWII type strategy; it was true for Stalingrad, but today there are much more advanced options and means to shut a cauldron closed.
One more thing:
The Ukies are saying that the Russians have concentrated forces on the Russian-Ukrainian border. This begs a question: why are Ukronazi forces concentrated along the LDNR line of contact and not, repeat NOT, along the Russian-Ukrainian border?! If they were really afraid and expecting a Russian attack, would they not concentrate their forces along the likely Russian line of attack?
So even common sense can debunk the Ukronazi propaganda.
But nobody in the West gives a damn. There are no peace demonstrations, everybody (including the pretend “liberals”) keep their eyes totally shut and refuse to see ANY Ukie military moves. Even when civilians are killed.
And then the West wonders why Russians have no respect and no use for it!
This exercise in what I would call “deliberate collective blindness and total hypocrisy” is a stain on every single country, entity or person engaged in it. Shame on you all!
The Saker
PS: there is one more reason why the Russians would want their Black Sea Fleet as ready as possible to deal with any contingency: should anybody (Ukroz, NATO, US, Romanian) attack Transnistria, it would be the Black Sea Fleet which would have to stop the attack using standoff weapons (along with the Russian Aerospace Forces) and play a major role in any operation to deblock the Russian contingent in Transnistria (along with the Russian Airborne/Air Assault forces). Again, this is all about having as many options to chose from as possible.
I would be interested to hear any thoughts about the role of Belarus in any of this. Is Lukashenko trustworthy? He’s had his own taste of the West’s real attitude towards him. Are Belarussian forces reliable?
Lukashenko is not trustworthy at all, but he really has limited options by now
the Belarusian forces are very trustworthy and superbly trained
but Russia could use the fighter-bombers she has in Belarus without using Belarus forces
Saker, isn’t the real ’beauty’ of the Pindos and the Euro-trash how their congenital arrogance unites the rest of the world against them? Russia, China, Belarus and on and on it goes. Ukronazis, Poles, and Latin American White Supremacists remain faithful, fine, but they refuse to see that Pindos and Euro-trash are very much less concerned with people’s complexion today. Neoliberalism is not about race war, after all.
The Saker
The Russian response to the Ukrainian build up was both efficient and massive. Do you think that Washington and NATO expected it ? Do you also think that both might be getting cold feet, wishing to abort a possible military conflict in the Donbass and wider ?
The royal navy will send a type 23 frigate and a type 45 destroyer in the black sea to support ukraine. Russophobia in the UK is too strong it seems.
So I would say that NATO is keeping the same path russian reponse or not.
Plus macron is asking Russia to stop its military response and threatening Russia with more sanctions.
The risks of war are not decreasing. The US and its lapdogs are still pushing for war.
Macron is like a little gnat. Annoying but nowhere near devastating. He hates the notion of nationhood and hates his fellow countrymen with a passion due to his being a globalist who once worked for the Rothschild cabal and is now ruled by CRIF. Don’t you think this is a gift horse to him? Gets to screw over more farmers and exporters due to pointless sanctions in or to further breakdown French society (what’s left of it) to the benefit of his global masters? I can’t wait for a resurgence of the Gilets Jaune. And an election next year, Le Pen being the least bad option IMO (although I do understand she has links with CRIF too but which party in France hasn’t?).
As for the Royal Navy, they had their day nearly 80 years ago. The British middle class are so indoctrinated though so if the Navy sacrifices a few ships, then the UK can make it a hat trick in the stakes of World War declarations… And the stupid British public will go along with it. Seems we never learn.
What is/ who is the CRIF?
There will not be war. Americans and the West tried to provoke Russia into war but Russia is not interested, probably NS2 is one of the reasons for that
Russia does not take bait and thank God for that
And it seems to me that Russia is not very much interested in Ukraine either.
Russia would like Minsk 2 to be implemented and NATO to stay out of Ukraine
Russia achieved import substitution of everything previously imported from Ukraine
And Baltic Fleet in Crimea is secured.
And that’s it. Everything else Russia does not care too much. Only to protect LDNR
So looks like it is not going to be war.
And thank God for that.
Russia has other much more important things to do … much more important
I think there will be a war this time.
I think it may lead to a nuclear war.
Let us hope it does not.
Distracting Ukraine forces from the Donbas LoC and readiness to defend Transnistria makes a lot of sense. How many fronts can Ukraine or even NATO handle at one time? Possibly one and temporarily.
Something dark and hidden is seems to be in motion that has nothing to do with truth or reality or even with words being uttered by leaders in the West. it is the fog of fantasm.
https://www.rt.com/russia/521369-czech-republic-expels-russian-diplomats/
It is because of Sputnik to be about imported to Czechia and current talks about a new nuclear plant from Russia to be built in Czechia. The head of secret service is well known for his loyality, but not to his homeland, but to CIA. He was even awarded by some CIA medal. The service under his command is a corp of puppets. His previous funny story was about an agent from Russia with a bag full of ricin oil who was send to kill a municipial politic from Prague 6 district and another called in Czechia the pig of Řeporyje, politician and clown from Prg suburbia. Also known from a Russian TV, as a clown, kind of and and under influence. Btw. In the said depot were also arms prohibited by international law. Gliwice, but very stupit and abound old thing, what coincidence. Culprits from Russia? Err, the same two, who smeared the door in Salisbury with Novichok. Perhaps you know the story about Josef Švejk and the Gendarmerie Corporal Flanderka during WWI. The same class collaborating idiots as Flanderka was.
Actually, it seems its all to distract from the attempted coup and assassination attempt of Lukashenko and family according to the Head of the Russian State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs Leonid Slutsky:
https://tass.com/politics/1279467
“Decision of authorities of the Czech Republic to expel 18 Russian diplomats aims to distract attention from activities of an organized group plotting against Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Head of the Russian State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs Leonid Slutsky said on YouTube channel Solovyev Live.
According to the lawmaker, “as soon as accusations directed towards the US president were voiced” then, “as if by command,” the Czech authorities announced expulsion of the Russian diplomats.
“It is obvious that it was absolutely clearly staged. Belarusians attack the United States and we will distract [attention] both in the political and the information sphere and will attack Russia,” the lawmaker said. According to him, European politicians, controlled by Washington, “will in every way pull the attention away from the situation in Belarus.” “They haven’t even tried to come up at short notice with something new and intelligible,” he said..,,,,,,,,”
It seems in the West all these expulsions are tied to the Biden regime’s attempt to assassinate in Belarus and take over the country. How low the mighty have fallen – the pathetic levels they stoop to.
Their Ukrainian underlings are also involved.
Czech PM was about to flight to Moscow to buy some Sputnik. And talks regarding a new nuclear plants have been starded. Coincidence? Czech president has relatively good relationship with Kremlin. Pressure of Quislings in this country has been immense and US vassals do not know how to stop it. You may not know we have a poet of 19 centurz who is a russian hybrid weapon, as confird bz the chief spook with CIA Medal of Merit.
“The head of secret service is well known for his loyality, but not to his homeland, but to CIA. “
Integration into “intelligence relations” was/is a requirement for all colonies/co-operators even before the CIA, but these “intelligence relations” are neither equal between the colonies/co-operators and the “metropole”, nor between one colony/co-operator and another colony/co-operator.
In respect of Czechoslovakia, the British Empire and Poland, in 1938 the annexation of the Teschen region by Poland was encouraged by the British Empire in contiuation of their practices of the Munich “agreement”, to convince the Polish government to be flexible in negotiations discussing options of “Soviet Union” troops traversing Polish territory to challenge Germany.
This was also an encouragement used simultaneously by “intelligence organisations” of the British Empire and Poland to share Polish research on coding including German enigma machines, and “intelligence sources” within the Polish Second Republic.
The encouragement offered to Czech intelligence was the relocation of Mr. Frantisek Moravec and his staff, plus leading politicians including Mr. Benes, to London.
Mr Benes and Mr. Moravec were subsequently complicit in the planning and implementation of the assassination of Mr. Heydrich which facilitated extensive “collateral damage” whilst in large part failing to achieve other purposes.
At the end of the war Mr. Moravec was extracted to Canada and the “United States of America” and Mr. Benes flew out of a window.
To colonialists others are food sources and human shields as further illustrated in 1968, and “homelands” bargaining chips if required..
However I don’t expect that these are surprises to readers of “In these great times”.
Mr. Beneš died in his bed as he has been seriously ill, even before WWII. Before his dead Mr Beneš resigned from presidency and hold no political post.
“Mr. Beneš died in his bed as he has been seriously ill, even before WWII.”
That is correct so why make the “error” ?
The story proffered in 1948 by “Western intelligence” in the hope of elevating Mr. Benes to “martyrdom” was that these nasty communists flew/threw him out of the window and this construction still has a half-life in various spectators.
This “technique” of elevation to martyrdom was used on various ocassions by the opponents including in respect to Mr. Bandera and Mr. Guevara.
Part of the reasons for “Western intelligence memorialising” Mr. Benes in this way, was to deflect attention from Mr. Benes’, Mr. Moravec’s and their own complicity in the forecastable disasters contingent upon the assassination of Mr. Heydrich, to which various references are in comments made below.
This “technique” of elevation to martyrdom was also used by “Western intelligence” in Poland in respect of AK to deflect attention for AK’s, the Polish government in exile’s, and their own complicity in the forecastable disasters contingent on the “Warsaw Uprising”.
“This was also an encouragement used simultaneously by “intelligence organisations” of the British Empire and Poland to share Polish research on coding including German enigma machines, and “intelligence sources” within the Polish Second Republic.”
The key to “intelligence” is interpretation facilitated by collection.
By late 1941 “Western intelligence” was not only collecting German coded military and political data but also to a lesser degree were interpreting this data with the aid of native speaking refugee analysts primarily from Austria, Czechoslovakia, Germany and Poland.
Omniscience can never exist but the decisions in respect of the assassination of Mr. Heydrich and the “Warsaw uprising” were not made in complete ignorance, but for political reasons illustrating:
“To colonialists others are food sources and human shields as further illustrated in 1968, and “homelands” bargaining chips if required.”
In significant measure throughout “liberated” Europe in 1945 much of the population understood that their “elites” were complicit in facilitating their “suffering” which was an obstacle to attempts to facilitate moderated versions of pre-war social relations, so “alternative facts” were constructed, mongrels were given licences.
“Bohumil Hrabal”
Mr. Hrabal’s demise was also rendered in various versions and this process of creation of myth is one of the primary facilitators of the half-lives of “propaganda” upon which the opponents rely.
The belief that if only the czar/narod knew the truth he/they would act differently has been tested various times in history and found to be largely an illusion, encouraging maintainance of the illusion by some through bridging doubt by belief to attain “comfort/perception” – a dance around a fixed point.
You illustrate this resort to “if only the czar/narod knew the truth” by your response “Mr. Beneš died in his bed…”
A more “productive” strategy is to encourage experiences from which others can “teach” themselves as Mr. Hasek and Mr. Socrates did also with the complicity of their opponents.
“…so why make the “error” ?”
To put a stone in the road.
Enjoy your journey.

Josef Švejk
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Good_Soldier_%C5%A0vejk
I read The Good Soldier in high school, I subscribed to the Quality Paperback book club. It was hilarious. In 1980 while in college my mom grabbed that book when she had a hysterectomy, I surprised her on the way back from a archaelogical dig in her hospital room. She said it was one of the funniest books she ever read. In times like this it is good medicine. These days sometimes I just focus on the dark evil of the usOfa empire and remembering that book reminds me that there are ludicrously funny banalities about empire also.
But you can see the pervasive perverted propaganda of the Empire in the first paragraph on Wickedpedia
<>.
The hell he is. When he gets a chance he can let loose with trenchant critiques to explain sideways the evil of empire.
Probably best translation is from Mr Parrot. He was UK ambassador to Czechoslovakia and perhaps it was job too quiet and sleepy for him in Prague after occupation in 1968, as I think he was a carrier diplomat. Hence, he started learn Czech from a Czech teacher lady and also the history of this nation and made very fine translation of Good Soldier. Btw. The book can be read as a fun, as an antiwar book, anarchy manual how to destroy any army and hiearchy, how to treat in your job stupid people and your bosses like feldvebl Dub is, whatever…Very important are also illustrations by Josef Lada, his all-life friend. What is interesting, later member of Red Army, Hašek, well known all members of Prague police, political radical, was awarded in Austrian army with medal for bravery.
Parrot’s translation is, indeed, brilliant. The Lada illustrations help, too. The one thing no unilingual translation can quite render is the polyglot chaos of late Austro-Hungarian times
Yes, but from explanation of Mr Parrot you know that jaternice is not precisely brauwurst. Come and taste with sauekraut and lots of kind local beer. We, common people, do not eat ehm, even Russians.
“The head of secret service is well known for his…”
emulation of the Captain of Kopenick since this is part of the “training” manual for some services who deem themselves intelligent.
This sort of thing has been going on in the Czech Republic for a long time, from Havel’s CIA sponsored Charter 77 to the machinations of “Czech think tanks” which receive their money from the US emassy in Prague:
Useful idiots
https://medium.com/@danielle_ryan/useful-idiots-1b6d89c81218
Czechoslovakia was occupied by Soviets for about 30 years. This fact is in main media still fully exploited with warning Russians are coming again. Germany occupation, much more worse, is explained by certain politicians and presstitutes as a protection against Soviet communism and stalinism.
Media informs about German gas this country is receiving, not mentioning the country of origin. The propaganda is really immense, but a lot of common people have fun of it and a lot of jokes exists as the propaganda is rather stupid, really Soviet era-like. There are special propagandist groups receiving money fron Brussels, Bavaria because so called Sudetenland and US Embassy here. Under Mr. Trump they were just surviving, with Biden and the gang behind him they are now back and kicking alive.
“This fact is in main media still fully exploited with warning Russians are coming again.”
“The propaganda is really immense, but a lot of common people have fun of it and a lot of jokes exists as the propaganda is rather stupid, really Soviet era-like.”
Not surprising in the land of Mr. Hasek and people who fall backwards out of a hospital window whilst feeding a cat.
“Czechoslovakia was occupied by Soviets for about 30 years.”
That was a contributory reason of why Mr. Andropov and his associates restructured the KGB post 1968, a contributory reason for the ongoing lateral process of transcendence of the “Soviet Union” by the Russian Federation, and the opponents’ resort to the hoped for dread that Soviets-are-coming-ness instead of the hope of some of Russians-are-coming-ness.
No it was hospital roof and pigeons in case of Bohumil Hrabal, the writer who loved Pilsen beer and cats. He was old, lonely and ill, hence maby he really was not feeding pigeons there.
No, profit sector, as they say, gets only something from US embassy, but Brussels, Germany and the Czech state unfortunately are feeding the octopus too. Politicians are afraid of this progressive liberal antifa and other fine blends of this kind. Even justice is afraid of them. In Russia certain Šimon Pánek might be known, as he was famously kicked out of Russia. He runs dubious no profit group, bud according rules of USA FARA law he is an agent of foreign powers, both Soros funds and USAID. In time of covid he did nothing for Czechs, but supplied families and ISIS members in Syria.

Yes NATO Nations is spewing propaganda of Russian Agents infiltrating the West, by accusing Russian citizens and diplomats of spying, and then expelling them.
This has happened in Britain, The Netherlands, Denmark, USA, and now The Check Republic.
In Denmark a Russian engineer attending the Danish Technical University (DTU) since 2007 (developing fuel cell technology), has been arrested and charged by the Danish Police intelligence authority (PET) of spying against the Company Serenergy. The court case against the Russian Citizen is executed with the public banned from attending the Court proceedings.
The Russian citizen was arrested in July. 2020, and there is still no verdict from the Court.

Russia must call home its civilian citizens from NATO Nations NOW.
The Russians have replied again to the imbeciles in the Czech Rep:
https://sputniknews.com/world/202104181082663934-russian-foreign-ministry-summons-czech-ambassador-source-says/
“…..In a reciprocal move against the expulsion of 18 diplomats from Prague, Moscow has expelled 20 Czech diplomats, who have been told to leave the Russian capital by the end of Monday, 19 April.
The Czech ambassador to Russia, Vitezslav Pivonka, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry on Sunday against the backdrop of the diplomatic scandal, a Sputnik correspondent reported. The diplomat entered the ministry building without issuing any comments, spent about 20 minutes there, and left.
……The Czech side was also required to bring the number of employees of the diplomatic mission in Moscow in the category of those hired locally to parity with the number of employees of a similar category in the Russian embassy in the Czech Republic. The ambassador received the relevant note,” the statement said.”
Also Russia is stepping back in space too from its so called “Western partners”. It will no longer take part in the ISS (when it ends in 2024) and is building its own station:
https://www.rt.com/russia/521414-iss-russia-quits-2025/
Its contract with the US for 122 RD-180 rocket engines ran out this week too:
https://tass.com/science/1279033
I don’t see Russia bothering to sign any new contracts with the US for the foreseeable future. Good luck getting up to ISS.
Hubris: Why, why, why!!!!!
“Five diplomats will stay there [at the Czech embassy in Moscow]. People who are to leave [Russia] are not agents [of Czech intelligence services]. They have 24 hours to leave [Russia] whereas we gave [employees of the Russian embassy] 48 hours,” he said, adding that practically all employees of the embassy’s political department are to leave Russia.
He also said he did not understand why the Russian side had expelled by two diplomats more than the Czech side.
It has been a few week, pederast dementia-stricken Biden HQ told it would be soon the satellites in Europe specifically to be used asap in full force in the play of force against Russsia, Firts was Poland, of course, the socond my Vaterland Czechia with their Quislings, unfortunately.
https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2021/02/04/remarks-by-president-biden-on-americas-place-in-the-world/
I was born in Prague and christianised in the same church were former Red Army officer Hašek has his wedding. Please do not mention imbeciles in this country, they are just Quislings and well fed as foreign agents accordint to US FARA law. In your country you are free of such kind of opportunist fleas, really? Austrian placeholder for Austrian Kaiser at Ptrague castle, count Thun said in 1913, there were two kinds of Czech. Rusofils definitely, and the rest who just do not about their rusofilifia.
Thanks for pointing this out. I suspect that in the event of a serious shooting war there are going to be even more ammo depots blowing up here and there, in what were once peaceful quiet little villages. The Russians have had the coordinates for these things for quite a long time. Americans need to remember that the entire Eastern European front is Russia’s sandbox, and they can kick down the sandcastles any old time.
Used as an excuse to block Rosatom participation in retrofitting some Czech nuclear plant. As per US / Pompeo’s request last year… 7 billion USD is a reason good enough, especially if the winner is Westinghouse. Nothing dark about slimy, cheat of a competition, to disqualify your opponents from the get go. China was stopped to compete prior to this… Only US and France now have a shot. Let’s see who wins. I am betting on Westinghouse…
Please correct me where I am wrong.
This war is not 80% informational and 5% kinetic.
It is 99% moral.
The Empire 99% depends on moral support of own population. The Empire inventions are:
“indispensable” nation, “conspiracy theories”, and numerous false flags to blame on Russia or demonizing it.
1.
Russian leadership does not self respect.
And damages itself in this moral war.
The wordy insinuation of V. Putin like “killer” must be absolutely unacceptable.
Something, for example the diplomatic relations, can be fully interrupted until apologies.
This did not happen.
In the eyes of public, “unclean country” got what she deserved and swallowed the insult. Because “unclean guy” knows he is “unclean guy”.
Russian leadership does not self respect. Perhaps this is because they really know that
they are not “clean”?
So this helps US to continue schooling Russians as usual.
2.
The negotiations must be on loud speaker, not the secret diplomacy.
This may open eyes of a public on “who is who”. The differences in US and Russia annotations about the talk will become insignificant. No schooling.
They are in secret, because Russian leadership does not feel moral obligation
to be open to own public. Another moral miscalculation. There is nothing to be in secret.
All military or sensitive details can be left to military specialists follow ups.
(It is always a disgust when negotiation between Presidents goes in secret protocol. They are my
servants, servants hired by their people. Why my servant discusses important matters about my household keeping me ignored?)
Russia has no obligations to not disclose the tape of negotiations. US already broke this own self when disclosed Trump’s talk with Ukraine.
Why to spend millions to fund Russia Today supporting moral image of Russia and lose it by
own diplomacy?
3. Paying close attention to ordinary diplomacy and calculations and misrespecting the moral
part does backfire. Take Iran as an example how to do moral part.
USSR stood by watching how US and allies beat Iran by means of Saddam Hussein and later.
Russia even aligned. Russia tried and tries to please/cooperate with Empire by not selling C-300 and C-400 to Iran or Syria.
Stupid?
Now Russia can take a place of “beaten pedestrian” whom she watched once before. Sort of karmic.
At any moment, the Empire can make a false flag like dropping nuke on European capital and blame on Russia. What then all this balancing was for? Or Russia do not give C-400 to Syria trying to
“soften” the reaction of Empire. There is nothing that can be “softened” or “balanced” when the
other party is ready for any false flag.
4. And very minor, but bitter fact. Neither Dmitry Peskov nor Vladimir Putin did apologize before Oliver Stone and viewers for fake movie clip about helicopter attacking terrorists.
Problem is not in fake video, but in refusal to apologize. Who can trust them from then?
They don’t apologize, so they don’t understand they should request an apology when being smeared them selves today.
When admitting own mistakes, the one becomes a moral winner of the situation.
Oliver Stone does not deny the fact, he downplays it. This is not his fault.

Thank you for your attention and this precious blog.
“Please correct me where I am wrong.”
You miss the spot completely. Battle is moving from the moral ground to the military ground, mostly because of the Perfidious Albion. I think that your comment stems from the idea that the mindset of West and Russia is similar – – well – – I can tell you that it`s not.
What comes to moral, your post is somehow vague? Are you saying that Russians are destroying their moral image at the highest political level? By telling the truth – like Lavrov has done in many occasions.
How ridiculous! West has never had any moral, their guiding light has always been treachery and lies. And after that even more lies, they are simply not capable to understand the truth, not to mention speak the truth. That`s their nature.
We are entering to a new stage in this existential battle: because West is not capable to maintain the illusion of moral high ground anymore – vultures start slowly gathering around it. In such a situation who on earth really cares about what Russians say or do on a diplomatic level? It`s not crucial anymore – the military strength is.
That`s why the division inside West is growing day-by-day, because EU-leaders fear the strength of Russian military – and that Europe will be again the battleground. They understand well the intentions of Washington and London, even though they are forced to follow the narrative.
Good question is why especially London thinks that they are safe? Even during the WW2 there were German bombers over London… and now… IMHO, Russia gave West enough rope to hang herself.
>That`s why the division inside West is growing day-by-day
There is no division inside West, look at EU. They are truly monolithic when it comes to their relation with Russia.
They are ready to sacrifice their own population for Hegemon’s interests.
No, you are wrong and speak about illusionary things. Real politics and MSM fairytales are two different things. I will say it again: most in the West are forced, blackmailed or bribed to follow the narrative. That`s far from being monolithic.
I think that the Western mindset is also a result of a some sort of a mass psychosis, they created their own reality – and now they can´t see the difference between reality and their dreamland anymore.
Absolutely truthful. But a little bit misleading. Europenan puppet goverments on remote control are monolithic.
Control over population and policy is absolute.
What population think we do not know, can only guess.
Traditionaly, Europeans go with the winning side and if forcefuly mobilized, slack all the way. Not exactly deciding factor.
Population is daily brainwashed by the mainstream media, out of context news, hiding other’s version, spaced repetition, you know! Human engineering. The programs they pass, remove all critical sense one can have, Stupidification programs.
” look at EU. They are truly monolithic when it comes to their relation with Russia.”
Of course things are well controlled at the top, but may be shakier lower down. A world of delusion is still that however well controlled the media and the elections are so the delusional can only steadily loose faith.
“They are ready to sacrifice their own population for Hegemon’s interests.”
“There is no division inside West, look at EU.”
ergo there are divisions amongst/between/inside the “West”.
If a war is limited to Europe, then why would the warmongering and perfidious Albion emerge from it unscathed, but of course it wouldn’t. Perhaps, this explains why Boris Johnson has recently been rambling on about Britain’s determination to use its nuclear weapons if it feels threatened. Fat chance of that working Boris.
Thank you Prospeller.
“In such a situation who on earth really cares about what Russians say or do on a diplomatic level? It`s not crucial anymore – the military strength is.”
Beside hardware and troops, military strength needs public support. If image of Russia would be innocent in eyes of USAians, then military strength of US would become 0.
We are not in hot phase yet, so diplomacy is still relevant and will be relevant after.
Yes, Russian diplomats do not value self respect. And this helps Empire to speculate on morality and to demonize Russia. Diplomats must protect the image of others, namely own country.
Why Putin shakes hands with Poroshenko, with “butcher” of Donbass? Why when Biden rejected open talk with Putin, Putin agreed with private telephone call? He should put this call on loud speaker.
Or, if it is really true “who on earth really cares about what Russians say or do on a diplomatic level?”, then why to speak with Biden at all? This will be an another way to express self respect. Putin should do “Primakov’s turn”.
So, even if after some hot action the sides will come to the table of talk, the first point of agreement should be like this:
US sincerely apologizes for unjust expelling 60 diplomats in 2016 for false accusation in Skripal case. US brings our sincere apology for accusation of killing Litvinenko and shutting down MH-17. US sincerely apologized for unjust sanctions made with fabricated pretext and false accusations about Russian interference in 2016 and 2017 elections ….
Agreement without apology is not a recognition of own fault. It is a trade-off. Trade-off is easier to break again because it has no value.
The power of Empire is built not only on petrodollar. It built on its ability non-apologize. For invading Iraq, for supporting Saddam Hussein, for shutting down Iran’s passenger jet, ….
“The power of Empire is built not only on petrodollar. It built on its ability non-apologize.”
Good point, I agree. That`s exactly how Empire has maintained moral high-ground by creating a narrative about humanitarian bombings etc.
But in that case, how could you think that they are ever going to apologize anything? That would mean a total defeat for them.
That’s exactly the kind of mindset prevailing in the “liberal” West: to stir up “moral indignation”, not because they really believe in moral or in God but in order to use morale as a weapon, to shame their enemies into submission and to induce their supporters’ frenzy. After all, they have to have something in the place of virtue in their godless religion… but all this fake indignation and virtue signaling have nothing to do with real Christian morale…
“Or Russia do not give C-400 to Syria trying to
“soften” the reaction of Empire.”
Syrian armymen are brave, but horribly undisciplined. Remember that poor Pantsir left depleted in the middle of the airstrip until suicide drone crash on it? While crew smoking outside in the safe distance?
Giving S400 to such men would be nothing less than high treason.
If this is the incident that i think you are writing about, then you have understood the situation completely the wrong way around. The Syrians set the vehicle up as bait and the Israelis fell for it. The Israelis did not know that the vehicle has been prepared, so that the incoming missile would expose the NATO radar codes. In the few seconds before impact, the codes were read and the Syrians were able to provide the Russians with the NATO codes. The Saker wrote a detailed report about this incident, a while ago.
Syrian forces have undergone more training into the use of electronic equipment, so i do not see any reason to doubt their skills today.
In terms of tank warfare particularly in urban environments, Syrian soldiers are absolutely superb in coordinated overlap-sweep tactics. i recall seeing some videos on YouTube which demonstrated these admirable skills. They could only have received such training from the Russians.
Russian behaviour towards Syria was initially compromised by the reality that Russian jews within Russia and within Israel are a powerful political block which had to be placated but as seems to be the way VVP handles such things, whilst he initially gives the benefit of the doubt, the Russian position hardens and becomes uncompromising once the other party crosses a Red Line. The position today of Russia vis-a-vis Hezbollah is a firm indicator of this process.
@Analyst
Please understand that I am aware that going against Saker’s analysis on his own site is not smart move for myself. I also understand that not expressing different point of view (in a good faith) is stupid move.
Having said that… Sorry, but I dont buy explanation on codes trap. Putting whole crew at unnecesery risk of being droned with another strike, just to make trap more believable, is an overkill even for Anglozionists.
From what i saw, I believe that there was some technical problem with vehicle.Maybe they just forgot to fill it up with fuel. Those things can happen to any of us on vacation, let alone in the middle of night bombing raid. I know, I know, western propaganda used this incident to paint Russian weaponry as unreliable. Who cares.
They do this all the time, anyway. Get use to it, and ignore.
By the way, was that Pantsir repaired? Damage from “loitering munition” wasn’t that impressive, as I recall.
Now on codes. It is obvious that it’s not only Russians who want to analyse enemys codes. For years Israelis wasted untold amount of U$D and resources to provoke Russian air defence into action and reveal frequencies, codes and tactics. Not gonna happen.
Instead, they are giving up their own for insignificant amount of damage. Russian systems are live and well in listening mode. For years now.
It is safe to asume that database containing multifrequency images of all those f35s, raptors and standoff rockets reached size of facebook.
Of course, for poor Syrians, damage doesn’t feel insignificant. They would be tempted to use
Hi end systems unwisely.
Thats the reason why they can’t get it. Syrian leadership understands situation perfectly.
Unlike those who, over and over again, fall on divide-er-impera mind trick.
If Anglozionists realy want that damn codes they can get them easily. Just have to attack with large part of their airforce. Maybe, they could use them next time with whats left of it.
On this I completely concur:
“In terms of tank warfare particularly in urban environments, Syrian soldiers are absolutely superb in coordinated overlap-sweep tactics. i recall seeing some videos on YouTube which demonstrated these admirable skills. They could only have received such training from the Russians”.
I watched number of real life drone videos that are better demonstration of masterful urban warfare than any military educational video. Or even Holywood war movie.
Those Russian instructors are as formidable weapon as S400 is.
How come there’s no Russian jews conspiracy on ground floor, huh?
If you don’t mind and have them (links to the drone videos) at hand I would appreciate if you could share some of those links.
I could’ve seen them but didn’t pay particular attention to the tactics. Would love to watch them (again?) now paying extra attention to the urban warfare.
Well, Russia has been guilty of invading the Donbass for seven years now, so maybe it’s time for an actual invasion. That would be fine with me, a US Vietnam veteran (I didn’t kill anyone, thank God).
It seems that the pressure from the West is still on, but Russia is meeting it. Today Biden threatened China with nukes. The Ukronazis want nukes. Maybe it’s time for Russia to consider separating US “leadership” from US nukes. How to do that without blowing up the world is something I believe that Russia can do, perhaps with the help of China and Iran. Certainly US psychos with access to US nukes are the greatest threat to Russia, and to the whole world. As a US citizen, I extend a welcoming hand to Russia’s occupation of the US, with their military tribunals for the war criminal “US leadership”, and their friendly faces. I will bring them coffee, for sure!
It seems that the US passion for chaos has become frantic, daily, desperate. The US needs to be put down, like a mad skunk.
“As a US citizen, I extend a welcoming hand to Russia’s occupation of the US, with their military tribunals for the war criminal “US leadership”, and their friendly faces. I will bring them coffee, for sure!””
Typical American television baby! you want the Russians to do your job for you. suppose the come in and do not leave? you have no guarantee that they would leave in that event. and just like you refuse to go change America yourself, would you have the balls to try to kick the Russian out?
you would prolly go look for another party to do it for you one more time. who next time then…..
you are lucky as I am sure the Russians would not do your job for you if the situation develops that way. they will not take on what is the essential work of the American people…to save their own selves and nation
you nation needs you out in the streets correcting the situation directly
Dear Ben,
As an Australian I have been praying for more than 20 years that if Indonesia attacks Australia that they took out Canberra first, as then we would have a chance to defend our country. Australia is much the same as America; all the traitors reside in Canberra except these days Sarah Jane Halton is now in Melbourne to help run the Covid-jab that she started in New York with Event 201.
Just like as pre 1776, America’s enemies were in the major cities, the same has occurred in both the Us and the ‘Penal Colony’ called Australia. In Australia it was Lachlan Macquarie who broke all of London’s rules and began making a proper city within Sydney, but the truth is that Australia was and still remains a ‘Penal Colony’ of ‘The City of London’s’ Elites, and those Elites have never actually let go of America, hence the Shay’s rebellion.
I agree with you. Where is any fortitude from any group in America that openly resists the political class and its edicts? Virtually, the entire news media is nothing but propaganda….global propaganda. We are the only country on earth with 300,000,000 guns in the hands of private citizens. Is it not time to flex in a non violent way. I think the constitution gives a citizen that right. Fix DC and the pressure in Russia/Ukraine deflates to more reasonable standards.
Also consider that the scamdemic is a first wave assault to depopulation. Regional and possibly global war is part of the demonic globalist agenda to get earth down to the magic 500,00,000 that the Georgia Guidestones predict fir humanity. That would be enough people to serve the Global Elites and their machinations in their great reset.
As for me, I am storing my treasures in heaven. Eternity is a bitch for those that will be discarded when his Majesty comes back on the last Day.
”As a US citizen, I extend a welcoming hand to Russia’s occupation of the US, with their military tribunals for the war criminal ’US leadership’, and their friendly faces. I will bring them coffee, for sure!”
As opposed to ben sampson who sounds like a butthurt US patriot, I think pdb makes an excellent point. With such a moronic majority population as in the case of the US, the whole rotting edifice will have to be smashed from without. The Red Army of supposedly racially inferior brutes led by a baby-eating monster from Hell proved too much for the parasitic Nazis and their mass base throughout Europe (with the Germans being the most hard-core constituency).
At the rate things are going, the US ”leadership” has already descended to the level of drunkards on a park bench, and could be said to truly reflect the stature of their subjects at home — violent, reactionary, wilfully ignorant, and drugged. Funny as long as it lasts, but I’m firmly convinced that Russia will do what it eventually has to do. If the Russian soldiers choose to hoist the ”red, white, and blue” ( 🇷🇺) on the White House — in case there still is one standing — the symbolism of it would hardly go unnoticed.
Lastly, I have to let on a ”dirty, little secret” about all these people who make noises about Russia forever capitulating and selling out — twice or thrice a day — this and that country: As opposed to Russia’s leadership which is discreet and restrained in its verbal communications but very much focused and determined in its ambitions, these luminaries would throw angry tantrums and then accomplish absolutely nothing. Doesn’t even take a second to make up one’s mind as to which of these approaches makes sense to most people.
Saker,
It might just be a bluff as you suggested. Shoigu can just shrug it off, “we just wanted to train our guys with amphibious landing craft on the Krasnodar coast.”
By the way, the Czech have joined the bootlicking party, expelling 18 RF diplomats.

“….A spokesperson for the Czech police told Sputnik that the police could not confirm the link between putting Russian nationals Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov on wanted list and an explosion at an ammunition depot in Vrbetice in 2014, where two Czech nationals were killed…..”
Oh, please this is now turning into a major embarrassment for the Czechs, which no western media will cover, of course.
As the Jacobin revolutionary Louis Antoine de Saint-Just said, “no liberty for the enemies of liberty”.
I suppose the western journos think that Russia is the enemy of liberty, not them and their own countries.
sickening…

Important news.
Today, people who were preparing an attempt on Lukashenko’s life were detained in Moscow. Very seriously, there is a recording of a conversation where they discuss the murder, the seizure of buildings, the blocking of Minsk.
Today Lukashenko called the head of the FSB. He said that he would soon make the most important statement in 25 years of his presidency. Most likely, he realized that the games were over.
The whole country is waiting for Putin’s statement on April 21. So already on April 22, an emergency meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation is scheduled, we assume the entry of Donbass and, possibly, Belarus, into Russia.
Such things.
Thank you Denis. Spasiba!!! Most of us don`t understand Russian, so here`s Google translation of your very interesting comment:

Wow!
So sorry NJ but is there one example in history where the Czechs did not join the bootlicking party? And not only them as almost all Slavic tribes are like that. I am ashamed of it deeply, myself being a Slav. Instead of unity with our brothers and sovereign rein over most of Europe and huge chunks of the world, we are reduced to what we see nowadays: helping hands in genocide of the Slavs.
Thank God the Russians have finally realised that there is nothing worth saving past their borders. By concentrating on their own people only they have become this lean mean killing machine which only needs to move a few units of their army for the criminals of this world to start pissing their pants.
Dostoevsky once wrote that you should not judge a nation by how low it can fall, but by how high it can soar.
I hope that the Czechs one day will sore back to a level worthy of respect.
I wrote the above in a fit or rage. I am deeply thankful to courageous Czech individuals and groups that, for example, every time she is around Prague they stand up to genocidal Madleine Albright for her role in the war against Serbia and other war crimes. She is regularly embarrassed and trolled in order to hinder spewing of her genocidal propaganda which is used as a cover for a plain old money heists. The governments of our countries are a problem.
There is a little Church in Prague which stands as a memorial to the brave Czechs who assassinated Reinhard Heydrich. It is worthwhile going to Prague just to pay respect at this church, where the Czechs held out to their last breath.
That’s our Orthodox cathedral in Prague! I was there in 1994. I think there’s also a shrine to Bishop Gorazd, martyred under the Nazis, along with almost all Orthodox clergy of those parts.
That church with the eastern orthodox religion in CzechoSlovakia was created after WW1 under auspices of the Serb Orthodox Church and fell in her jurisdiction (until WW2).
“There is a little Church in Prague which stands as a memorial to the brave Czechs who assassinated Reinhard Heydrich.”
To deflect perceptions of disasterous failures some raise memorials.
The operation to assassinate Mr. Heydrich was proposed by Mr. Benes and Mr. Moravec to change the perception of the utility of the Czechoslovakian forces held by the “Allies” despite the contributions made by Czechoslovakian forces from 1940 onwards.
The project was a predictable disasterous failure – the productions of Skoda and other industries increased, as did the acquiescence of the populations of Bohemia and Moravia, after the death of some including Slovakians who had memorials instead of lives.
This time perhaps it would be wiser to emulate Mr. Schweik instead of misguided notions of dulce et decorum est pro patria mori ?

Me too!
My family came to Brazil around 1870 (Teledzinsky).
Translated from ancient Greek, “coming from the Far East” (my only hope of being Russian).
Until a few years ago, Wikipedia said it was part of the Gozdawa clan in Poland.
After a while, this disappeared from Wikipedia (I think many third or fourth generation Brazilians would bother a lot, a lot of beautiful people born in Brazil would bother the imbeciles)…
My father spoke Polish I did not, my mother was Austrian.
Well, sorry about the vent, I’m just taking advantage of your comment to solidarity.
Slavs….Slavs…Slavs
Dostoyevski was right about them
I have never believed in Pan-Slavic nonsense
Do Romance and Germanic people kill each others as a beasts
No…of course not. Anglosaxons are always together, they are like monolith.
Do Slavs kill each others
Yes, of course …
Slavs nations, only Russians deserve some respect …
Slavs have deeply rooted inferiority complex toward West. That makes them hopeless bunch of NOTHING.
All they do is to compete in serving their Western and especially Anglosaxon masters.
They are pathetic and Russia cannot expect nothing good from them.
Backstabbing or in the best case hypocritical sitting on two chairs.
They consider serving to their Western masters as a their greatest achievement in entire history.
Yes, Slavs have inferiority complex toward West, deep, deep hopeless inferiority complex.
And, unfortunately, even Russians are not completely immune of that.
Very few people have read (if they ever heard of him) Konstantin Leontiev’s ‘Byzantism and Slavdom (Византизм и славянство)’. Then one can understand why the supposed ‘panslavist’ Russians could speak of ‘Slavophile onanism’. Leontiev was an Orthodox in the purest Orthodox tradition (he was tonsured a monk at Optina by the Starets Amvrosii – the model of Dostoyevski’s Strets Zosima – and died as Kliment the monach at the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra in 1891, in the same year as Starets Amvrosii).
His is the most clear understanding of ”Russian world”:
“If we try to imagine the Slavism, we have only an amorphous, spontaneous, and unorganized image, which resembles distant clouds forming different figures, when they come close to us. On the contrary, the image of Byzantism resembles the strict and clear plan of a vast spacious building. We know, for example, that Byzantism in state affairs means autocracy. In religion, it means Christianity with specific characteristics, which distinguish it from western churches, heresies, and sects… Byzantism also gives us quite clear notions in arts and aesthetics: fashion, custom, tastes, clothing, architecture, furniture – it is easy to imagine all this as more or less Byzantine…We can not see anything similar in Slavism.”
“The semi-wild Rus was consolidated by Byzantine ideas and sentiments. Byzantism gave us strength to endure the Tatar pogrom and the centuries of servitude. The Byzantine image of the Savior, on the great-princely flag, looked on the Orthodox warriors of Dmitry Donskoy on the battlefield, where we for the first time demonstrated to the Tatars that Moscow Rus is not already the former divided and weak Rus. Byzantism was the source of our power in the battles with Poland, the Swedes, France, and Turkey. If we remain faithful to Byzantism, under its flag, we will be able to resist the whole international Europe, in case she dares to impose on us her corrupt and reeking new laws of earthly bliss and universal commonplaceness!”“If we betray Byzantism, even in our secret thoughts, we will destroy Russia!”

Russians are the most unique mix of Slavic & Byzantine – it is this blending of those two ancient roots that makes them different to any other east european Slavs. Byzantine influence would be one of the predominant one, by the way. You were spot on in highlighting that in your comment. Thank you!
You are ethnic Serb, you convert to catholicism, then you are Serb-catholic for a while, until “K und K” decides at the beginning of 20th century (1903) that every catholic should be called Croat. Before that you have 4-7 Croats in Bosnia. Basically there is no ethnic Croat east of Kupa river. And there is hatred, there is genocide, there is concentration camps for Serbian kids in WW2. All inspired by Vatican and Catholic Church. So what divides Slavs is religion. Reason for all this mess in Russian borderland called Ukraine is solely Vatican!
Any other dispute, war…whatever, between same religion-countries, f.i. Serbia vs Bulgaria, is same in nature as war between France and Germany….
Unity of Slavic people is possible and i hope somebody’s working on it, today, in Moscow, of course. That is only way we can stand against aggressive western countries. Or, maybe, they are on their way of self-destruction! LGBT ideology and immigrants are doing great job destroying Europe, and not only Europe!
“with amphibious landing craft on the Krasnodar coast”?
You mean Krasnodar Krai coast, because the city of Krasnodar is +100km from the Black Sea at Dzhubga.

Yeah speed typing typo, I meant Krasnodar Krai coast as you pointed out. Still don’t know what the military strategy is with the amphibious boats. I defer to Andrei’s opinion above!
That really seems pathetic. I suppose Russia could leave them with their Ambassador and a chauffeur as diplomatic representatives.
Actually, while this would be overkill for an important and still marginally powerful nation like the USA, I think that the Russians ought to sever all diplomatic relations with the 3B+PU, then Romania, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic. We don’t need them, and all they do is hate us. Have the Swiss represent Russian interests in these countries and the interests of these countries in Russia. Oh, and Canada too (let them feel that they are irrelevant, which they are).
My (disgusted) 2cts
On Canada — I would think decades of refusing to allow the American missile defense system on their soil, as well as decades of refusing to allow Americans to arm the US/Canada border, unless Russia can likewise arm the border, should count for something. (There is a treaty from the Cold War era on that, can’t remember it’s name.) Canadian diplomacy is irrelevant.
Are you referring to the Distant Early Warning ‘DEW’ line? I had always assumed this was installed with Canadas full agreement . This had me check it out on wikipedia >
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distant_Early_Warning_Line
it certainly refers to Canadians wanting to prevent US involvement on Canadian soil but there is no mention that Canada wanted Russia to have an equal capability. That would have been too noble, as per Klaus Fuchs, who was imprisoned in the UK for giving Russia the data on building A & H bombs precisely to assure ‘MAD’. “In her 2020 book, Atomic Spy: The Dark Lives of Klaus Fuchs, Nancy Thorndike Greenspan concluded that “Fuchs sought ‘the betterment of mankind’ [when sharing secrets with the Soviets] … because “his goal became to balance world power and to prevent nuclear blackmail” “
No, I was referring to the more recent, BMD Ballistic Missile Defence. Here’s a lecture, er analysis, from 2005 explaining why Canada should join.
https://www.fraserinstitute.org/sites/default/files/NorthAmericanMissileDefence.pdf
(And 75-80 percent of our trade is with the US. How’s that for leverage?)
I’m too lazy to do the research, but the treaty (whose name I can’t recall) goes something like this: the country of Canada serves as a large boundary between the US and Russia. If the US decides to arm the southern border with Canada, then it could also arm the northern border, which borders Russia. Therefore, arming the southern border (which divides the US and Canada) is the same as arming the northern border (which divides Canada from Alaska and Russia.) Therefore, in the interests of balance of power, Canada must allow Russia to arm the southern border, in response to the US arming first, and vice versa in the north.
In other words, our parliament, like your parliament, is filled with elected representatives, who are lawyers.
But it works. Remember when Trump made the executive decision to arm the border with Canada? Whatever happened to that plan, anyway?
A quick addition to the above. From the CBC archives —
1985: Canada opts out of ”Star Wars” defence plan (5:33 of news coverage)
https://www.cbc.ca/archives/entry/1985-canada-opts-out-of-star-wars
“Canadian diplomacy is irrelevant”
It is true, once Canada used to be called “the Switzerland of America” because of its neutrality, but now it is involved in every American game, it does not matter how dirty it is. People are both passive and easily manipulated, they do not care about the rest of the world, the media is much controlled and the leaders of the political parties constantly consult themselves with UK or US. Canada is still a colony in the Commonwealth…
I couldn’t have said it better. My fellow Canadians seem determined to live in ignorance of the games their successive governments have played in service to the US empire and Canadian corporations. I’ve given up trying to educate anyone of the dangers of their ignorance and insouciance, aspecially under the man-child who struts about as “Prime Minister” these days.
Kakanada really is a fascist little totalitarian shithole. I cannot wait to GTFO of as soon as possible.
I am hoping to move back to Serbia by the end of the summer.

No wonder on average 11 Canadians kill themselves every day in Toronto and about 50 or so overdose (I work with these people).
Before CONVID one in 10 paramedics reported attempted suicide…plus the ones who do not report it but are thinking of doing it.
One third of Canadistani population suffers from personality disorders like Schizophrenia, Borderline etc….My Russian friends tell me climate here is much worse than in Siberia.
It’s all about virtue signaling without any virtue and covering up their huge fat asses.
And it’s getting worse by the day….
I have now had five days of princely virtues as news in saying goodbye to Prince Philip. At the same time a question was asked in the local paper if Canada should boycott the Olympics in China over the Muslim issues of the Uyghurs and here is what one young athlete had to say about this —“Canada has been a leader in terms of making a stand. We stand for rights and freedom. If that’s something another country is not participating in, well maybe there is an area to stand on. But, for me, I don’t know. I honestly don’t know, man. That’s a great question, a tough question, and I honestly don’t know the answer.”
This is a young man that has seen the world and does not know anything about it. Yes we have made a stand always on the wrong side of history, wrong side of freedoms, wrong side of race, wrong side of colonialism\, and wrong side of every war US has participated in. Ninety percent of Canadians don’t bother to find the answer as they have left their learning at the Walt Disney door.
Every once in awhile 50% of a country thinks it would be better off on it’s own; look Canada and the USA. Separately each province or state would be too small in most cases to survive or compete on its own.
When you look at the N American map a lot of ‘red’ spots show up on the west side. There is almost a straight divisional line of mostly ‘red spots’ from the eastern border of Texas, north to Manitoba, then to the Artic. The west coast would be from Alaska south to maybe California.
There are many states and provinces in that western division that express a wish and desire to be free from the eastern side of federal governing and money grabbers. Admittingly there are a number of rough edges on the west side but I am sure ‘friendly persuasion’ can prevail over time. Would this concept not make a viable new country. Just thinking out loud.
I totally agree, Tomo! As a Romanian living in Toronto for 25 years, I couldn’t wait to go back home either! The problem is that the situation there is similar to the one all over the western world-covid tyranny, stupid paid media, stolen elections, puppet governments, etc. Since joining eu and nato, Romania has become a stupid colony, good for providing cheap(but qualified) labor for the west and land for us military bases…And soldiers for all nato military adventures…The media there promotes constant Russophobia, taking advantage of historical disputes between Romania and Russia/Soviet Union…They don’t seem to care or understand that, by allowing us missiles on Romanian territory and giving nato access to the port of Constanta, on the Black Sea, the country has become a direct target of a Russian counter attack or possibly even a first strike…The Romanian authorities are just stupid and corrupt mouthpieces of eu/nato, willing to sacrifice the country for foreign interests, pretty much as the suicidal ukronazi illegitimate leadership…
The clowns in power there, even declared their “unwavering” support for Ukraine, despite the shitty treatment of the large Romanian community in Ukraine by the ukronazis!!! Of course, the Romanian leadership got the marching orders from Washington/Brussels…
God help us all!
I am just waiting to find a good way to transport my furniture, books etc in a container back to Serbia – and off I go…I will never return to this shithole of fraud , corruption and democidal passive aggression….
I am glad my brother (who is the opposite from me in everything) is starting to feel the same – I was very happy when he told me yesterday that we should buy a huge house in Serbia to live in together (with his wife and kids etc)…with 2 separate units. He’s already looking for a place (and he is a director of a department of a big bank here in Canadistan) he has had enough of criminal incompetence of this pathetic slavish country.
Interesting how everything changes…
Actually, it does not make sense for Russia or any other nation outside of the US Empire, to have diplomatic relations with individual MATO countries. The only reason I can think of is that it is an opportunity to send friends away to some interesting place to pick up a useful language (literature!) and to do some sightseeing. A kind of reward for services rendered at home. But of course, that is how it has been working for a long time already.
Hi Saker. Many Czechs are equally disgusted and angry. From speaking with people there this morning it would seem that large numbers of Czechs consider this whole story to be a load of garbage. An idea gaining traction is that Prague was pressed and bullied into this by bigger NATO players. Moreover people want the Sputnik vaccine and are furious with certain factions for potentially spoiling the rollout of Sputnik in favour of Western options..
Final comment: we were told that Babis looks like he knows that he is speaking poison words, but has been forced to do so.
Just wanted to pass this on. Thanks.
Saker, I can’t speak for Romania and Czech Republic, but I live in Bulgaria and there are many many people here who really really dislike America and very much admire Russia and Putin. Unfortunately, these are not the ones with political power but the general populace, as soon as someone comes into power, I think they get sucked up by the USA bribery machine. Voting does not seem to help. Bulgarians are totally fed up with government. I don’t know if it could be the same in Romania and Czech republic. I was appalled recently when Russian diplomat got expelled from here, I think many people were feeling the same way.
yes, and I am sure that there are also people like that in Romania, the Czech Republic and even Poland. But from a Russian point of view, these people have done nothing to overthrow their colonial masters. Worse, the vast majority of people in these countries have fully accepted the hysterical russophobia of the West.
Have you seen any protest in any of these countries against what they are doing?
How many intellectuals in these countries did openly speak up against prostituting themselves to the US?
The point is that nations deserve their rulers, especially if they do nothing about it.
Look, I wish all these countries all the best, I hope they have a peaceful and bright future.
I just don’t want Russia to waste any more time with Europe, that’s all.
Russia needs to deal with the Boss (US) who runs Europe, not with the Boss’ quislings.
Should one day these countries return to mental sanity, Russia can reevaluate.
But, for the foreseeable future, I see no point in having any relations with them.
Sorry about that!
Kind regards
The Saker

Few people realize to what extent Western Europe has become totalitarian. It is actually frightening. My friend Micha Kat, who for twenty years has been exposing the paedophile ring running the Netherlands, and who runs a very influential web site, was thrown in jail on trumped-up charges. After his release, he fled to Ireland, where he lives as an exile. Twenty years ago, Kat was a member of the dissident group around assassinated journalist Theo van Gogh. The other members of the group have been liquidated or silenced, he is the only survivor. The same goes on in Germany (Ken Jebsen), France, Belgium, etc. etc.
Journalism is dead and there are no intellectuals anywhere in the “West.” OK, a handful perhaps, but without any influence, severely censored in the MSM and social media. Resistance against the state is dangerous and futile.
I am afraid only a wave of violence from below will be able to effect any positive change. Perhaps the Covid madness will unleash this eventually, now that food scarcity is raising its ugly head.
Thanks Saker. My partner is Czech and she agrees more or less 100% with your comment.
Cheers.
You are right, thank you for the response, it is unfortunate but true.
In my opinion, Russia should keep consular services in these colonies to the extent that former soviet citizens can eventually repatriate themselves to Russia. Anything more is a waste of resources.
I think maybe a double-bluff. Nobody seems to believe that Russia will actually invade Ukraine. But it is ready to do so. Actually far more Russian troops and equipment assembled around Ukraine than we are told in western media. And Ukraine is becoming steadily more of an annoyance to Russia than the potential cost of cleaning up NATO’s mess would be. There seems to be consensus among analysts that Russia could destroy Ukraine’s military capability within a few days, and NATO is most unlikely to intervene. That destruction could well come partly from mass defections and desertions by conscripts, as happened in Crimea in 2014. Ukraine might then cease to exist as a state, because each region could be given the same democratic options as Crimea, Donetsk, and Lugansk have already exercised, to determine their own future. Those regions (most likely in south and east) which opt for accession to Russia would then be progressively absorbed into the Russian Federation and their economy repaired as fast as the Russian economy could manage (as has been done in Crimea). People in other regions may opt for accession to other neighbouring states, which would take responsibility for them. But of course, all options remain open. Shoigu could yet be bluffing!
“But nobody in the West gives a damn. There are no peace demonstrations…”,
This exercise in what I would call “deliberate collective blindness and total hypocrisy” is a stain on every single country, entity or person engaged in it. Shame on you all!”
You do not consider here something which has not happened before, at least since the mass acceptance of the Nazi ideology in Germany bu the masses, that is the effects of an already whole year and a half of pandemic fear broadcasted every minute 24/7 through the whole media, plus the official communications broadcasted as well by the leadership.
The Western population remains in a state of anomie, incapable of valuing anything new and dangerous coming in, the self dissarticulated by complete fear of being sanctioned if they do not vaccinate, do not isolate, do not mask themselves and do not go along with the mass.
There has not been such mass unifying of irrational criteria since immemorial times.
This is why they could try it at this time…
There are currently supposedly intelligent people with superior studies incapable of thinking neither rational nor with a critical sense even in the scientific community…what to expect from the general population?
As a US peon, I am sorry that we have utterly failed to stop or even slow down Our Dear But Insane Leaders. Fifty years of ever-growing repression and “identity politics” (Divide-and-Conquer) have completely smashed “the Left” into useless sectarian bits. “The Right” is of course totally infiltrated by police, FBI, etc.
There is no organized opposition to the DC Dunces in the US, only random disorganized chaos. It looks like the Russians will have to take out the trash. I thank them for their sacrifice.
I second that. One trash American to another.
Here in France there is still no official discussion on the events, I am persuaded there are also gag orders here. Just some distant news about Russians being agressive again. No extra news, nothing.
I had to explain the news to a very intelligent doctor yesterday, aware of many other things but here: she had no idea and finally asked me: why should I bother?
I just told her that I did: having two of my children living close to Toulon and Brest, command centers of French nuclear power. I explained that they would be hit first, she finally started to understand.
We have no idea here, imagine trying to explain it to common people. I remember a guy telling me he saw the tanks invading Crimea on tv , he did not believed me that those images came from 8 8 8 Georgia…

yes – people are asleep. I’m in Canada and out of 10,000 population in town where I live – I don’t know if anyone but me even is aware of what’s really going on.
Must be that the flouride in the water systems while the generations were growing up, has had a dulling affect on their souls.
I suppose war will awake them finally…through suffering instead of through foresight.
Yes, Been following this blog since the early days and periodically comment at work on my employers Tassie dairy farm. My 40 yo boss commented on Friday “why should I worry, I cannot change anything”. His two kids might have a different view, and when the supply line his business depends on gets stretched then breaks he might develop a different view. My view is that it pays to know what is going on because not being surprised puts one leagues ahead of the sheep who will be in a blind panic.
Is his response typical? Hard to know really. I know some others whose level of interest is on par with mine, not many, maybe 10 or so, but I regularly come across people whose sympathies lie more with Russia than the US.
It is different when China is the protagonist tho, I put that down to the level of anti-China propaganda in Australia.
yes – the Sinophobia if anything is worse than the Russophobia – even highly distinguished alternative media people like Patrick Wood – I left his page because of cruel misunderstanding of China. But he’s not even the ones I have in mind. I really don’t know the history of China but it doesn’t appear to me that there is any genocide of any kind going on in China – so let the Chinese deal with their own problems. But this thread is not about China so I will stop now.
“the Sino Phobia [in Australia] is even worse than the Russo Phobia”
That’s because China is your nearer neighbour.
“Oh yes I know you / Well here’s what I owe you” — Wagner, the riot scene in Meistersinger.
The level of awareness In Australia nears zero and China is Australia’s number 1 trading partner with a huge surplus for Australia. With the US it runs a deficit … paying for those F35’s that may soon be used as busses on suburban bus routes since they seem not useful for any other purpose. Austraila is isolated and the international awareness of the local news media often stops at the outer reachers of the great barrier reef or with a consideration of what is the best sun block for a decent suntan.
@Ann,
Yes, being Canadian and truly trying to how the world really IS can be daunting. So many of my friends and relatives believe firmly that any info off alt-media sites is pure conspiracy theory b.s.. It’s sad, as is the wholesale swallowing of the American/Empire propaganda. We have no sovereign foreign policy, and don’t need one as a quick phone call from the US provides it.
I agree Ann, although we now live in Germany…we left Canada in 2006 because it was already becoming way too fascist for our taste. We thought the Germans wouldn’t fall for fascism again because of their historical experience. How wrong we were…just paint it green or black and, no problem.
We have the same situation in Japan. I have a student that I’m teaching conversational Russian to, and he has obtained a visa and tickets to Moscow from May 1 for a month. He wants to spend most of the time in Crimea. I sat him down here, pulled up the Saker’s valuable blog and carefully explained the situation to him, finding verification of the situation in a quick Russian search, with the governor Crimea spelling out what would happen to Ukraine if they tried to invade. He’s aware that if things get really bad, Japan with all its US bases will be in peril as well.
Still, without the TV even mentioning what is going on, it doesn’t seem very real, does it? I’m sure his family has no idea. He’s a young fella, 19, so this just adds to the excitement. I’ll trust the goodness of the authorities in Russia to dissuade him if they deem it a bad idea to go out there in the midst of this, and will pray for his safety.
I asked my US relatives a day or two ago if they’d heard of the provocations in Ukraine or that Russia was closing the Kerch Straits in response. I didn’t even get a reply. They are all focused on China and Taiwan, and the vaxx.
I think this is the 1st time the Caspian, Northern and Black sea fleets have been united in the same body of water, ever..
@Lozion, I don’t think so, in the 2016 video I previously posted:

Germany, Spain, France Made it clear that they won’t be part of this adventism…
Pedro Sánchez, misnamed the President of Spain, but he is not President, he is Prime Minister, I do not know how the origin of this confusion occurred in my country.
Pedro Sánchez, we call him Falconetti, for the excessive use of his Falcon, his private plane, as if it were a car.
He is called Sanchinflas, after allusion to Mario Moreno, also known as Cantinflas, actor, mime, screenwriter, producer and comedian from Mexico. A Cantinflas, according to the legend is how much you inflate, when you breathe, “According to a legend with which he agrees, the young Mario Moreno, intimidated by stage fright, once in the tent Ofelia forgot his original monologue. He began to say the first thing that comes to mind in a complete emancipation of words and phrases and what comes out is a brilliant incoherence. Attendees attack him with syntax and he realizes: fate has put the distinctive characteristic in his hands , the style that is the manipulation of chaos. Weeks later, the name that will mark the invention is invented. Someone, annoyed by the meaningless phrases shouts: “How much you inflate” or “in the canteen you inflate”, the contraction is created and is becomes the proof of baptism that the character needs.
Carlos Monsivais ”
Well, someone was made that comparison, Pedro Sánchez is a Liar, not the following, as we say here, he is a Mythomaniac, with self-esteem problems, a coward, he only accepts interviews with journalists paid with public salary, with the pandemic the newspapers They had no income from advertising and were clamoring for money from the Government, they are subsidized by money through institutional advertising, such as advertisements for not taking drugs, driving well campaigns and avoiding traffic accidents.
Another of his nicknames is Sanchidad, a fusion between Sánchez and sanctity. Another nickname is Pedro I or Pedro the Gravedigger, with 100,000 or more Spanish dead.
Believe me, the guy is a coward who doesn’t want to go to debates, he doesn’t even know what he wants to answer, unless they are prostitute journalists paid with public money.
Sánchez is not the Prime Minister, or, he indeed is, but his office is void (and null). The true Prime Minister is his astrologer, Iván Redondo, Sánchez does do what he recommends, and does not if Redondo says no. Spain has no politics because it’s in open and full decomposing, in fact the true power, the new “military” rule are the judiciary, which is entirely out of control and making coups almost every day. Rajoy was not that stupid when opened the gates.
Both PSOE and PP are “mamporreros” for the system,
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/mamporrero
Sánchez is protecting the company (PSOE) which feeds him (and his friends), nothing less nothing more. It’s the same thing that has been working since 1977 (in fact, far before that, but that date is the starting of the current styling), but now is openly visible since the system is faltering. Sánchez is the same thing as González, or even Suárez. In fact, he is pretty similar, the difference is Suárez was far more homest (!), but this is motivated by the current time, Sánchez would he more Suárez-like if he lived in 1977 and vice-versa.
Many people in Russia think that PP (or PSOE) are more probable to show a more independent stance than, we can say, UK or Poland. They aren’t capable of. At all. Simply, the country is a piece of shit and honestly cannot satisfy France, Germany, the US, the British and China all at the same time (and many others). It’s not they think they can, it’s they don’t give a shit, people in charge in Spain from centuries ago never pay the bills.
Relating to the “threat” of an amphibious assault. The US military did this in the 1st gulf war, They kept an entire Marine division at sea in the Persian Gulf aboard their big amphibs off the coast of Kuwait just so Iraqi forces would have to garrison the coast.
absolutely true!
good example, thank you
There is still silence in the western media about this. It could be spun (in their eyes) to make the Russians look like aggressors, but they’re ignoring proceedings. This is an ominous sign, the False Flag DEFCON needs to be raised.
“You probably have heard that Russia moved almost the entire Caspian Flotilla to the Black Sea, including quite a few amphibious assault ships.”
I was unaware that there was a water link between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, but there is, the Volga-Don Canal. This, from Wikipedia…
“The construction of today’s Volga–Don Canal, designed by Sergey Zhuk’s Hydroproject Institute, began prior to the Second World War, which interrupted the process. Construction works continued from 1948 to 1952 and the canal was opened on June 1, 1952. The canal and its facilities were built by about 900,000 workers including some 100,000 German POWs and 100,000 gulag prisoners. A day spent at the construction yard was counted as three days in prison, which spurred the prisoners to work. Several convicts were even awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labour upon their release.”
Fascinating… thank you, Saker.
German defence minister-
“She praised Ukraine’s level-headed in response to Russia’s military actions.
“Because we — together with Ukraine — don’t want to get involved in this Russian game,” she said.”
full german bs is posted in the newsfeed.
You mean this one, Per :https://www.aa.com.tr/en/europe/russia-direct-threat-to-europes-security-germany/2212287
From Germany I want to apologize for this genderless entity and her hollow words, and I can assure that she does not speak for the Germans I know. She should be ashamed, some eighty years after ‘Operation Barbarossa’ German soldiers are parading at the Russian border, blahblah about ‘agression’ and ‘security threats’ and so on.
In the German news not. a. word. is said about a massive amount of NATO-troops at Russia’s border, and Ukraine isn’t even a NATO member (and won’t be). But, poor Navalny of course every hour.
Something is about to happen, I sense. The shameless discarded plans for Belarus underline it. The West is desperate, and I feel something horrendous coming.
Cheers, Rob
The whole thing should kick off around Pentecost or there abouts. The bear eats much flesh.
Yes. Perfect time, Ground is too soft right now, I was thinking mid may/early June. Another month of US/UK BS to get the little people used to the idea. Sadly for them they are not being prepared for defeat or suffering both of which are their destiny in this affair.

For my two cent, it seems that war is certain now, maybe a big war ‘Europe wide’ or even larger.
Probability: 90-95%
Period: end April, around the 9th of May which is THE date, so symbolic.
Macron plans to hold talks with Putin soon – Elysee Palace. Expect many more sanctions(financial, swift, credit cards, sec market for debts and ns2). And a big false flag.
Ending of diplomatic relations.

There will be no wider war at this time in Ukraine nor in Europe for certain reasons
– Europe Leadership but also its Population is not ready or behind this or any war for obvious reason
– Ukraine is not a serious tread and the unmotivated army will back off Immediately
– Russia is way to strong to take heads on and NATO’s Logistics are also not in place
– Russia is not Irak where you can come with a timeline or ultimatum
They will first try to weaken Russia on multiple fronts
We will soon see the Middle East go up in flames again – Except for a stare down nothing will happen next month
I hope you’re right. As of a week ago – someone I know slightly in Kiev didn’t believe there would be a war. I hope not. Even though lots of humans deserve it.
There will be lots of war coming, more than even the diehards here wish for but not in May – Russia will attack because it’s left with no other choice, will Russia be victorious? Sure there will dominate like in WW2 but in the end they will loose – everybody will loose ! The West will sacrifice its own people to stop Russia’s advance – the dream of the so called Elite, to empty the planet of useless eaters, will come true – like after every major war there will come happy times – our earth is a self correcting system and we will be only around, if we behave accordingly
You assume the Russians are going to let NATO make the decision about when. I suggest you revisit what Putin said he learned as a young bloke. “if a fight is inevitable, throw the first punch”.
At this point it is pure “philosophy” but I wonder if all this could have been prevented if in the last twenty years Russia had had a clear defensive geostrategic doctrine like that of the Soviet Union instead of just having a short-term liberal marketist policy. . The Soviet Union had a clear concept: no enemies at the gates. It is not clear what the “gates” are for today’s Russia.
Spot-On. This is where i differ with Dmitri Orlovs explanation, that the Ukraine is not worth saving. The US, UK and France always had and continue to have, territorial ambitions. The predatory nature of this process is primarily with the aim to capture markets… Dmitry Orlov forgets that Russia had this gene in the past. The predatory messianic-fundamentalist nature of NATO is quite evident. So it has been a mistake of Russia to state that “We have enough territory to worry about, but we want friendly relations with our blood brothers and everyone else”. This attitude whilst noble, is way too idealistic and has ignored the ongoing predatory nature of NATO. VVP saw it for himself after 1990 but did not respond aggressively even during the illegal 2014 takeover of Kiev by the USA.
This ties in with the recent amusing reply by A. Dane. It is quite striking to note the nations throughout history who were once extreme predators and are today just pussycats. If the Mongol Hordes did such a fine job of uniting disparate peoples, it has been very sad to watch how Russia lost this fervour from 1990, allowing the predator to get in far too close – only to now have to make a more aggressive pushback. Nothing less than a new Soviet Union should be created. By now most of the pre WW2 Soviet territories and most of Asia have been (mentally) vaccinated against the three main predatory imperial powers of US/UK and France
There’s a time to fight, and a time to bide one’s time. In the 90’s, Russia was in terrible shape, and even a decade later was in no condition to stand up to the US, but needed to rebuild itself. Now, Russia is stronger, and can do that. Especially as China has also built itself up, and can back Russia up.
He defended Crimea & the Donbass against the Ukronazis. He supported a referendum Crimea, then acceded to the results of the referendum. Crimea is now irrevocably a part of Russia again. He rescued the regime in Syria which was on the brink of collapse. He initiated the Minsk process, assuming his counterparties were acting in good faith. In the last month that process has been destroyed by Ukraine’s unilateral withdrawal.
All of this, and many other things as well, have bought time for Russia to prepare for the present moment.
feather less and carl
You are both totally correct. Actual strength for Russia to push back was not there. but compare how masterful the Hollywood/Madison Avenue/Deep State spin-machine has been in pushing into the ‘traditional’ Russian sphere of influence. Russia, even today, in spite of the first-class leadership that it has, still lacks this ability to project an image of threat, “dont push too far or we will lash out” The threat of Russian belligerence is engineered in the USA….not within Russia. the Russian response is still not taken seriously. The current hardening of Russian resolve is indeed now backed up by substance but it could have been applied much earlier, when the Western powers were actually still quite unsure of Russias true capability. I do fully realise it is difficult for Russia to stoop to the level of the uncouth western mafia which is running (ruining) the show…and i can understand well the Russians feeling they are having to deal with imbeciles. Perception management is where the West continues to excel. It is a dirty game.
Stop using the derogatory term ”regime” about the Syrian government. Zionazi slurs shouldn’t be used anywhere here except when forming part of a quote.
All the ‘philosophies’ and armchair ‘strategies’ forget that Russia exists for 1000+ years! That all her history shows a unity of development unlike what we found with other peoples. A power that winning in battles expanded, but when defeated it did lost almost nothing. And that because, all along her millenary history, no lost battle made her lose sight of her mission which informs all her policies: internal unity and keeping her enemies at bay. Imagining that where the most powerful armies in the world did not succeed, the scarecrows would, is sheer insanity.
If i was a Ukrainian i would be extremely worried about the future. There is only 3 reasons that Ukraine was of any value to US/NATO. They are Sevastopol naval port, gas transit monopoly to Europe and weapons placements on Russia’s border.
As it stands all 3 are either now voided by Russia or about to be. Obama/Biden will be forced to concede Ukraine back to the Russian World. This is the Russian game, Putin is a very clever man.
Here is what the average Ukrainian does not understand……Without the DNR/LPR they would be sent into a war against Russia by Obama/Biden. A war they cannot win, with millions of victims. Obama/Biden wants the Russian World to wage war against themselves.
In the Donbass they are fighting for the Russian World which includes Ukraine. Once you see this geo-political perspective you will understand Putin’s position better. Crimea was strategic and historically Russian, it had to be returned to Russia no matter what the cost. However the DPR/LPR cannot be immediately returned because again Obama/Biden will send Ukraine into a war within the Russian World. The Donbass is a buffer against that war in the Russian world, Putin is doing everything he can to ensure a war in the Russian World does not occur.
Here is where the geopolitical position gets tricky. We currently had a stalemate while the LPR/DPR are defending the Russian world. A stalemate is a victory for the Russian world and a defeat for the coup in Kiev.
Zelensky signed off on decree 117/2021 which is the De-occupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, how dumb was it of US/NATO to allow that to happen when they have no options in Ukraine its on Russia’s border.
I think the Ukraine also has potential of huge production of food. Bill Gates probably owns half Ukraine farmland now – of course with the crazies bombing their own countrymen the fields are destroyed anyway short-term….but I did hear at one point that GMOs were now being grown in Ukraine. And the food supply for the globe is being captured by globalists. I’m sure Ukraine is on their list – just to prevent people from growing enough to feed themselves.
Here is a top conversation on Barricade between Boyan Stanislavski and Mark Sleboda. Interesting comment on the possible timing of any attack by Ukraine on the Donbass, and also why they feel they must attack (as NS2 when online will deprive Ukraine of 18% of annual state revenue that will mean total implosion of their economy). And also why Russia wants to avoid a war if at all possible where they are forced to kill thousands of Ukrainian conscripts (but may be forced too as they may be left with no choice).

Great link, thank you!
I’ll save it and share it with people with open mind but no knowledge about the background of Ukraine conflict. Superb summary in the “digestible” amount of time for almost anyone.
If the Ukronazis attack, it will be coordinated with Nato. This happened in Bosnia; Bosnian Muslim and Croat forces started an offensive while Nato targeted Serb positions in Bosnia.
I think the Nato Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) might make a move into the Black Sea making a mock attack to divert attention from upcoming Ukronazi attack on Donbass. They might even make an amphibious landing in the southwest to cut off Crimea. Russians made a sudden move to Pristina Airport when Nato invaded Kosovo, this surprised Nato.
Doesn’t matter how they twist the narrative. When they die, it will be forever and it will make no difference. Controlling the media or the narrative is a very deceiving form of “power”, it’s not precisely a substantiated power. When death comes to you, you cannot simply argue with her and convince her that you are immortal as you play with weak human opinion. Reality is in the hands of God, not in the hands of wicked men.
VVP is a person of extreme self-control. So I’m generally calm and trust things are under control. The west will create a drama without anything substantial and Russia will move her own way unfazed. That’s the last thing left for the empire – drama and words. (The real last thing left is a war with Russia, but that is beyond suicidal, so they’ll need to be satisfied with drama and words)
On a next step of escalation, Russia will probably oblige the US ambassador to leave. Now, they recommended it to save him from humiliation. If he doesn’t take it, he will be out the other way.
There will be this turmoil ongoing, until the west grows to accept that their empire is finished or finds a way to deceive itself in some self-soothing way. In any case, the empire is finished and is fighting for it’s last breaths. The millennial western experiment of self-righteousness and self-defining of “truth” is over. That’s what we are witnessing. It’s essentially a war, but of a different kind, because starting a real war would end the empire in a more brutal and quicker way.
I don’t think that some elaborate false flag will come at play. More or less, all this darkness that we witness now is coming to the surface and has always been there. Empire fails to hide and mask its inadequacies. Whatever happens, I think it will be quite lucid and clear for people that care and pay even a bit of attention.
“More or less, all this darkness that we witness now is coming to the surface and has always been there.”
Great comment, I totally agree with you.
“Controlling the media or the narrative is a very deceiving form of “power”, it’s not precisely a substantiated power”
I beg to disagree. I have been reading most of the comments on this thread and the preceding ones for the past few days. There is no shortage of armchair generals. :)
I think the Russians need to learn how the Americans grabbed control of Ukraine in 2014. In a modern society, like Ukraine, the people who control the media, the internet and mobile telephony have absolute power over the people. A relatively small number of soldiers in critical locations can control the entire country. There is absolutely no need to invade.
1- Grab control by force of all TV stations and internet providers.
2- Grab control of the government quarter of Kiev and other major cities.
3- Cut the internet and telephony to the outside world. Only allow approved domains to continue functioning.
4- Use control of the air and drones to ensure that no military forces can approach these locations.
5- Tell the editorial staff on all functioning media and internet to start reporting the truth.
6- Broadcast by all means possible to the troops, police and militia that they must surrender. If their officers order resistance, they should arrest their officers and hand them over.
7- All those who have had telephone conversations with the putschists (Poroshenko, Zelensky) etc. should be arrested for further investigation.
8- Tell all Ukrainian soldiers to leave their weapons and return home.
9- Make it clear that resistance is futile and that those who resist will be quickly eliminated. Make an example of the Azov Battalion.
10- Broadcast that as soon as the state of emergency is over, the media will be freed from censorship. Each province will be allowed to vote as to its future in referendums. Representative democracy is poison. It is how oligarchs control countries.
11- Open the borders to Russia and allow normal commerce. Anyone trying to smuggle weapons to Russia is summarily executed.
12- Arrest all non-Ukrainians who are involved in the Donbass war. All NATO soldiers and mercenaries should be sent to Siberia for an extended “vacation”.
“In a modern society, like Ukraine, the people who control the media, the internet and mobile telephony have absolute power over the people.”
A very astute observation; Alberto Fujimori, when the dictator of Peru, knew this all too well. He paid the owners of TV stations millions. Police and army chiefs were paid a fraction of that.
Yet, even though they control over 90% of the information, they are getting more suicidal. It’s good to theorize but the symptoms are out there and they are quite real.
Russia can’t win. Even if it wins militarily it will lose much more politically. And that’s the whole idea as far as the West is concerned. According to South Front even “friendly” Turkey is sending special forces to Ukraine. Unfortunately for Russia it seems that its leadership never does the right thing when opportunity presents itself and its forced to act under least favourable conditions. This has been pattern for many years.
Do you really care for the opinions of the Atlantic Council, BBC, and The New York Times?
Read comments (when they are allowed on YouTube) to the White House declarations. People mock the presstitutes and current admin. Look at the demented Joe, the warmongering Clinton, and traitorous Obama. Not a pretty picture. And you insist that this scum’s opinion will have any weight? – Not at all.
Or you assume that the western populace is completely dumbed down? If this is so, then there is no sense to negotiate with the lunatics and degenerates.
There are still many decent and intelligent westerners and they have lost all respect for the incompetent, warmongering, and voracious ZUSA. Who needs the ZUSA/UK’s opinions of Russia?
The Russian Federation follows the international law and rules of humanity. The “indispensable” nation ZUSA has a history of mass slaughters around the globe, aimed at replenishing the lucre for the “deciders.” This is over. The only choice (re lucre) left to the MIC/Banksters is suicide by nuclear war. Since they place their comforts above everything else, they are not ready to descend into their luxurious bunkers.
I want to add that there also intelligent Ukrainians who are disgusted with Kiev junta, as wall as with Imperialists.
Losing politically means losing in relation to what the US thinks, says, and does. I am an American veteran of the Vietnam war, in which I served as a volunteer, not a conscript. I was patriotic. When I was discharged, I read books to find out who actually rules the USA, and I became a war protester, helping with the nation-wide college strike in 1971 or 1972, my memory fails me. I kept reading, and thinking, and in 1985 (I think), I made the decision to no longer vote, nor to even listen to politicians, because they all lie. They lie so they can get on the grift train, pad their vaults and swimming pools with cash, metaphorically speaking.
So, yeah, Russia can and will definitely win. She no longer cares at all about relations with the west. It remains to be see if Biden or Washington DC will still stand after the treacherous US finally gets its way in the Ukraine.
Patrick
Well said Patrick. I have a dog that can smell a female labrador on heat at least at 500 meters. In fact maybe further than I or those intelligence operatives at the Pentagon can see. It is heatwarming to consider VVP has better eyesight than most and his sense of smell can identify a Ukranian rotten apple even if it is lying at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.
“Russia can’t win.”
For at least 5,000 years some have pondered what is to win ?
Some understand that to “win” is an illusion since it catalyses continued immersion in the linear win/lose process/( paradigm) within which the “Soviet Union” and “The United States of America” were immersed.
Some understand that the purpose is to laterally transcend the opponents, and hence why the Russian Federation (not Russia) are perceived by some of the opponents as existential threats, whilst the many of the opponents remain immersed in the linear win/lose process/(paradigm).
Something is definitely changed in Russian aproach to the West. From anoying soft touch policy to Enough-is-enough in a blink.
Surely it is not due to emotions.
My guess is that Russia (together with China) finally completed SWIFT alternative. Probably, world reserve alternative too. And that is more devastating weapon against overblown West then all hypersonics.
Lets make example to be clear. It is estimated that Russia lost 1.5 trillion USD during Yeltsin years. We all know how that looked like
U$D as world currency put more than 4 trillion in AngloZionist pockets every year. Now imagine how looks like losing that income in an instant.
Simple breaking of that usury was extremely costly for anyone crazy enough to try. Not only because of imminent destruction via NATO. More so because of many technological bottlenecks in modern international trading.
Only Anglozionists had that know-how.
Not any more.
If so, Rusia and China have two choices. One is to swiftly abandon western system, making havoc to the AngloZionist sphere. But that means forfeiting all value they own in western papers.
All cash, bonds, securities etc. Gone. Painful option.
The other is dual system. Trade with US and closest vasals in dollars. With everyone else, in own currency.
Sadly, that way there will be no crashcourse in good manners for West, but much less risk for provoking WW3.
Make them sure that you can go for first option on a whim. That should be enough.
If not, they will probably attack militarily, so Russia and China has to be on the toes and make sure that when they do, they pay maximum price.
Their MIC is cancer that eat them alive.
Same as arms race crumbled Soviet Union, today US is crumbling because of same reasons.
The Isolated Pawn
Transnistria was the immediate thought just looking at the title including “amphibious options”. It is basically military indefensible for Russia without invading Ukraine’s (or Romania’s) borders. It is a precaution showing that the Russia’s military command is well prepared for all eventualities.
Whatever Russia is doing these days shows professionalism – “If you want Peace prepare for War”. If the other side understands its inferiority than victory can be accomplished with minimal losses – the bullseye for any military leader.
The game on Russia’s side is defense and so far she plays it superb. The other side is in relentless attack-mode trying to find a weak point to break-through those defenses. So far they failed. Still I would very much caution those voices that can’t wait to counter-attack here. It is true that Russia is superior in many areas but one has to look at the numbers too. For example: How many hypersonic missiles are available? How good are they integrated? Numbers have a quality of their own and in many areas they are not on Russia’s side.
Moral doesn’t have any force by itself but it helps immensely not to fall for provocations and concentrate the available force at the right moment towards the weakest point. This way even an inferior force can completely defeat an enemy that has surrounded it with many more men and machines.
Another warning: The other side has still a very small number of trans, woke and similar misfits in its troops. This is all show – similar to new technologies like the flying brick (F35). The 4th+ gen fighters (F15/16/18) are quite capable and available in vast numbers. Give the western militarizes a few more years of peace and they will weaken them self by introducing more expensive but fragile toys like the F35 but presently any global confrontation between the superpowers would in all probability destroy both of them.
Prudence is no sign of weakness and I am happy that those commenters that call for action here are not advising the Russian government. It has shown its determination and I have not the slightest doubt that they will follow up on their word. All the barking doesn’t hide that the other side also got the “message” for now.
Q
Transnistria is bordered by Moldova and the Ukraine, not Romania.
… but it is landlocked so if in need to reach it you have to go through either Romania or Ukraine.
This, from Gray Zone might be of interest?

Always good to hear from Sleboda. He is one of the English speaking Russian analysts I respect.
“BREAKING. Czechia expels 18 (!) diplomats after discovering that GRU’s unit 29155 – same guys who were behind the Skripal and Gebrev poisonings – were behind the explosions at Czech ammunition factories in 2014.
In fact, Czech police are certain that Alexander Mishkin and Anatoly Chepiga were behind the explosion of 50 tons of ammo that left two Czech citizens dead in 2014.”
LOL Bellingcat provided evidence.. They are real good, they solved MH17, the Skripalj poisoning and the Czech munition depot sabotage. They did this, without moving their arses, all behind their desk using social media. Amazing!
Russia will expel 20+ diplomats of the of the confused Czechs. The rest will be able to continue scratching their bottoms and doing nothing substantial.
ahh bellingcat . independent journalists that all just happen to be “ex “? uk and usa intelligence officers. lolz . that atlantic council funding sure gets results
Saker, after reading this latest blog post I’m convinced that something really big is going to take place soon. I’m just waiting for the next Nazi atrocity in Donbass and Russia/DLNR is ready to spring into action. Timing is everything and now is the time to strike back!! I’ve been saying for a long time that the capture of Mariupol, advancing all the way along the coast of the Sea of Azov linking up with Crimea and then the final capture of the real prize Odessa would be utterly awesome. It would then be a short hop and a skip to link up with the Russian enclave of Transnistria in Moldova. This area of southern Ukraine will be very sympathetic to Russia/Novorussia as well as eastern Ukraine. The Kiev regime will be totally land locked and the Black Sea will become even more of a Russian lake. Russia, like they did with Crimea, can rebuild and re-vitalize Odessa which I heard is a wonderful city (at least it used to be). Believe me southern Ukraine, with its wonderful weather, can be revitalized and become an income producer with increased tourism, etc. Russia will have to invest in the area but the eventual returns will be well worth it. Again Crimea is the example.
As an added bonus Kharkov could be added to Novorussia if the people are sympathetic. I heard that Kharkov is one of the most productive areas still in the Ukraine. But I’m not as sure about this area as I am of southern Ukraine. So eastern and southern Ukraine could be added to Novorussia and revitalized with profits and a good return in the future. The rest of the rump Ukraine can wither on the vine including Kiev. So Russia/Novorussia will get the prime beef and filet mignon while the west can deal with the leftover innards.
If this scenario takes place the west will holler and raise hell and will probably force Nordstream 2 to be postponed. Big S***. Sanctions mean nothing and there is not a f**** thing that the west can do.
“The rest of the rump Ukraine can wither on the vine including Kiev.”
Kiev is where Russian, Belarussian, and Ukrainian peoples began. It will be a shame for Kiev to wither. I am a fellow Ukrainian also. Let us stay united. The rest of Ukraine can also become productive and revitalized. I agree on a lot of things with you. I admit, there is Russophobia in all places in Ukraine, most pronounced in western regions, however the degree varies. I was in Lviv, in a restaurant once. People sitting few tables away from me were speaking in Russian, and no one made a whole noise about it. I was watching a youtube channel “Russian in Ukraine” and he visited Lviv. Maybe even people in Western Ukraine hopefully open their eyes. I sure hope so. Let us see humanity in each, because we are all different. I do not like what is happening in Donbass anymore than you do or anyone else. I sincerely hope, as I stated before on this blog that when push comes to shove, Ukrainian soldiers will refuse to fight, and desert. Once this happens, Kiev junta is finished. In history it happened before, and it can happen again. I hope, wish and pray for this outcome. Take care, friend.
What is so special about 21 April 2021? Is it the Russia’s annual state-of-the-federation address? Or a special/emergency joint session of Russian Parliament to address the current crisis?
Also some other questions:
*Any updates on the status of the Kirov-class battle cruiser refits?
*Have the refits been accelerated?
*Where are they being refitted, Murmansk?
*If they were available, would it not be better to deploy them instead of the entire Caspian sea fleet?
I’m not sure about the Kirovs.
About the speech by Putin, I believe that he is expected to address some of the recent major developments and introduce some ‘significant changes’… I expect this might concern the union state project with Belarus, and I’m sure he will speak on the Ukraine issue. Not sure beyond that.
The Caspian fleet ships are of the amphibious assault type, in this case better than the Kirovs which are surface warfare battlecruisers. The Russians have plenty of surface firepower based on land and on other Black Sea Fleet ships. The amphibious ships enable them to threaten the Ukrainian coasts, and most importantly to secure the Transnistria garrison.
(This has been mentioned in previous comments on these threads btw.)

(This has been mentioned in previous comments on these threads btw.)
Thanks for the answers, but I would argue the Kirov-class ships are more fearsome because:
*They are far larger
*They are heavily armoured
*They carry a lot more firepower than the Caspian Sea ships.
*Its armament, especially if carrying Zircons & Kalibrs, can bombard the entire Ukraine as well as anybody attacking the Transnistria garrison.
I get your point, however about amphibious ships being able to launch amphibious assaults. Like I said on the other open thread, amphibious assault ships give more options to the theatre commanders.
How to move a flotilla and few amphibious from the Caspian to the Black Sea? Through the woods? What nonsense is that?

Or through a canal. Please do keep up.
Reuters headline: “Russia and Belarus detain two Lukashenko critics, one a dual US citizen”
It looks like the FSB caught a third suspect in the coup plot, an American/Belarus lawyer:
https://www.rferl.org/a/belarus-lawyer-united-states-citizen-detained-moscow/31203152.html
Biden-Obama-Clinton regime will try to assassinate more than Lukashenko in Belarus. They will try to kill Assad and Erdogan (again)and maybe President Sisi of Egypt. We jsut saw the aborted coup in Jordan. Who do you think was in on that one? Jordan is a wholly owned subsidiary of the CIA. Its budget is an item line on the CIA black budget.
Biden is as dangerous as syphilitic Idi Amin.
Russia has to secure all these leaders from the plots hatched by Washington and Tel Aviv.
Russia has to protect itself, defend Iran, back up China, guarantee Cuba, advise and support Venezuela, control the Arctic NSR, secure the Kuril Islands, advise Egypt, maintain friendship with India, assure freedom of navigation from the Black Sea to Eastern Mediterranean, remain a power in Space, and lead the world in EW, missile defenses and hypersonic missiles.
This is why the GRU and SVR are targeted by the US sanctions. They are vital around the world to assist friends, partners and clients of Russia.
America’s unsurpassed ability to invert reality is on display with the CBS “News” report on the Ukraine situation below.
It’s also revealing all the jabbering talking heads in that CBS video are an assorted mix of Politically Correct minority groups or women, who regurgitate the usual American talking points like semi-trained parrots.

“You probably have heard that Russian moved almost the entire Caspian Flotilla to the Black Sea, including quite a few amphibious assault ships.”
How can Russian move Ships to the Black Sea when the Caspian is landlocked? I can see them moving smaller vessels via trucks or rail, but a large ship would seem an impassible task without being removed piece by piece. I also am unaware of any canal for shipping between the two seas, so I am wondering if this is an error.

I was also surprised, living as I do well away from Europe. However I looked it up on google/ddg. Yes there has been a water connection for 70 years or so and indeed it was planned back in the days of the Tsars.
I assume they are shallow bottomed boats but naturally all landing craft will be shallow bottom, so I assume they can travel through shallow water.
Indeed I tend to despair at the mainly USA people who say – hey Russia has no aircraft carriers therefore USA must win. In reality AC are not much use for defensive navy and especially for a largely landlocked one.
A little research before posting avoids one placing their ignorance on the World Wide Web for all to see.
”How can Russia move Ships to the Black Sea when the Caspian is landlocked?”
Vladimir Putin — in person — told Alexey Navalny to carry the ships on his back while menacingly holding a very large and clearly visible Novichok-loaded syringe for Navalny to ”get the message”. Zelensky and Tikhanovskaya will join Navalny in his hunger strike and call for extended sanctions against the Putin regime.
Excuse us sir, do you know where Russia is, or Ukraine for that matter?
My guess is that Putin announce a new gold-backed digital Ruble on the 21st. The Chinese just announced their digital Yuan and opened the flood gates for gold purchases (from Zero Hedge https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/china-readying-gold-backed-yuan).. The West is trapped, but watch the sparks fly, should this take place.
The Saker,
Thank you for this analysis, I’ll be linking to it in my blog and newsletter. However, I do have to disagree on your point about the three-sided cauldron. Using long-range artillery to block off the fourth side would not be possible – it would be porous and many high-value enemy targets would still escape, and there would be appalling civilian casualties as well. Also, note that friendly casualties would be extremely likely. Don’t forget artillery and air must always be de-conflicted, making things even more complicated. On top of all that, a barrage of that size and timeframe would be a massive logistical drain.
In reality, there is no need to block off the fourth side at all. This is the golden bridge. If enemy soldiers feel like they’re surrounded and have to fight to the death, they will. Give them an easy escape, many of them will take it. If Putin does do a pincer movement, there would be precision arty and airstrikes, para drops to seize key terrain and infrastructure that must be safeguarded, like bridgeheads for example, but besides that, the rearward corridor would be left mostly open. Civilian refugees would be free to escape that way to avoid unnecessary loss of life, plus, enemy soldiers could also escape that way.
Not only could the Russians save themselves having to fight every last Ukronazi in the country, the West would be burdened by thousands of defeated soldiers, civilian workers, and collaborators all demanding asylum. By being the humanitarians, Moscow could simultaneously shift a huge demand onto NATO and the EU’s shoulders.
I am interested to hear your opinion on the topic of mercenaries. This does appear to confirm your theory that NATO will keep this a proxy war between Ukronazis and Russia:
Ukrainian Special Forces are recruiting Syrian mercenaries to fight in the disputed Donbass region. The American media has mostly declined to report on this event, for reasons that I’ll leave up to readers to infer. However, The Syrian Observer reported last month that Turkish special forces asked Syrian militants to prepare for deployment to Ukraine. Note that many of these combatants are veterans of militias and terror groups from the North Caucasus.
During feuds between the USA and Russia, Ankara typically maintains a “middle of the road” posture, not overly favoring one or the other. In a break from that lukewarm policy, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has pledged “unequivocal support” to Kiev. In addition to mercenaries, this support includes a new fleet of drones already seeing action amidst escalating violence in Eastern Ukraine…
I’ve brought up mercenaries more than once in the past. Biden himself is a senile puppet but has real kingmakers behind the curtain; those kingmakers are working to effectively dismantle the bulk of the American military and replace it with corporate death squads. Legitimate soldiers are beholden to their oath to the U.S. Constitution, so why replace them? For that exact reason…

. Using long-range artillery to block off the fourth side would not be possible
I did not say artillery, I meant standoff weapons like cruise and ballistic missiles, back, if needed, by strategic bombers.
BTW – these are high precision weapons, so collateral damage to civilians would be minimized. Just hitting the main communication nodes would do the trick.
Slide To War Continues; Diplomats EXPELLED by Multiple Countries; Coup Plot Foiled in Belarus (US INVOLVEMENT) – US & Turkish Troops Now In Ukraine!
The slide to WAR is accelerating. Diplomats are being EXPELLED from countries. US Embassy CONFIRMS US Troops are now in Ukraine and Russian Intelligence shows Turkish Troops arrived too.
Those “instructors” were twelve US Special Forces operators. The US may be calling them “instructors” but typically, men like these go into a region to “soften-up” targets before the main US body of forces arrives and engages.
DIPLOMATS OUT
On Friday, The United States expelled 10 Russian Diplomats. The same day, Poland Expelled 3 Russian Diplomats.
In response, Russia expelled 10 American Diplomats and 5 Polish Diplomats. A staffer in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs even went so far as to suggest to the American Ambassador that he “leave Moscow and return to the US for consultations.”
UPDATE 10:15 PM EDT — U.S. ambassador to #Russia John Sullivan reportedly doesn’t want to leave Moscow & go home “for consultations” as the Kremlin told him to do. Russian press and their diplomatic sources say that Russia might force the USA Ambassador’s departure, for the first time since 1952. end update
Observers within several foreign ministries described the situation this way: “Russia-US diplomatic contacts are “dead.” They went on to say “the expulsion of 10 Russian from America and the follow-up expulsion of 10 Americans from Russia means there will be no meeting with Biden because it is now clear there is nothing left to talk about.”
Diplomats throughout the United Nations are almost apoplectic over the turn of events; many of them commenting they have not, in their entire careers, seen the world’s two Superpowers intentionally halt Diplomacy with each other.
On Saturday, the Czech Republic announced it was Expelling 18 Russian Diplomats, following discovery that #GRU Unit 29155, responsible for poisonings in #Europe, were also behind the explosions at Czech ammunition factories in 2014.
The Russian Foreign Ministry replied “By expelling 18 Russian diplomats Czech Republic has apparently decided to close its embassy in Moscow.”
Ukraine says that the senior diplomat of the Russia Embassy in Kyiv must leave Ukraine within 72 hours, starting from April 19.
Russia responded “The Consul of the Consulate General of Ukraine in St. Petersburg must leave the Russian Federation by April 22.”
WHOA!!! First the Americans, then the Russians, then the Poles, next the Czechs and finally Ukraine. The world hasn’t seen Diplomatic disintegration on this scale since the 1950’s.
COUP PLOT?
Also today, Belarus’ President Lukashenko announced the arrest of two individuals attempting to assassinate him and start a coup in the nation. He claims that the group was consulting with US ‘special services’.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced today that a group has been detained that planned an assassination attempt against him and his children, which is connected with the US special services.
According to him, the group includes lawyer Yuri Zyankovich and political scientist Alexander Feduta, who are detained in Russia. According to Lukashenko, the assassination was organized with the permission of the top US political leadership. And the head of the Belarusian KGB said the organized group had begun implementing the idea of removing the president and organizing an armed uprising.
Meanwhile, the press office of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSS) announced that agents of the service in cooperation with the Belarusian KGB had detained Zyankovich and Feduta, who had planned a “military coup in Belarus based on the” color revolutions “scenario involving local and Ukrainian nationalists “. The two also planned to “physically remove” Lukashenko.

The slide into war is now accelerating at a dramatic pace. The mass-media? Almost silent about all of it.
There’s way too much at stake now, more then just egos.
The globalist narrative is collapsing. More and more people are resisting.
The economy is near collapse.
The Democrats won’t allow Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline to happen.
Russia can’t allow NATO to destroy their pipelines and allow NATO to sit right on the border with Russia.
That border has always been a red line. If Putin blinks or wimps-out, he’s finished.
This is why they are pushing Putin’s back against the wall, they want a war or to get rid of Putin and install a Pro-NWO regime in Moscow.
They can’t do the great reset with Russia or the US still existing.
That’s exactly why I think conflict is guaranteed. Everybody wants completely different things and nobody is moving at all on any of them. Everyone’s position is now set in stone.
Hell, the announcement after the meeting yesterday amounted to telling Russia “we aren’t negotiating, pull back your troops or face the consequences.”
Russia gave them the finger in response.
It’s very, very tense today and it’s been that way since then.
There are *** RUMORS *** Putin is going to recognize Donetsk and Lugansk Republic as political entities and announce annexation of that part of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, just about the only words anyone is hearing from politicos on this matter is “Russian aggression.” One politician even went so far as to claim Russia is trying to reform the Soviet Union and takeover the world!
The US has over 800 bases outside its borders, staffed by over 500,000 civilian and military personnel.
Situation is tense. The devil is raging and seeks to destroy.
We aren’t alone. I hear that many icons in Ukraine started myrrh-streaming recently and I also heard about at least one in the US starting a couple of weeks ago.
Do you have any english language references?
It’s hard or impossible to find internet references on that subject. It comes from the “Church network”: I’ve heard either from a friend of mine (who witnessed and sent me pictures) or from Orthodox monks who interact with other monks and priests in Ukraine.
The Church doesn’t seem very eager to loudly proclaim such things outwardly, while at the same time they are not kept as some secrets at all.

“According to Filiponenko, the training of Ukrainian forces took place near the village of Pokrovske.
“The trainings of the UAF 40 separate artillery brigade were attended by US instructors stationed at the Yavoriv training range,” Filiponenko said.
The press officer noted that foreign specialists were carried to the spot by white vehicles with the special marks of the Ukrainian representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination. This was made in order to ensure secrecy.
The US forces are reportedly deployed at the Yavoriv training range in Lviv region, Western Ukraine, as part of the Joint Multinational Training Group (JMTG-U).
Filponenko also claimed that a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter arrived at the northern LPR front line, admitting that it could deliver foreign instructors who arrived to train the UAF in sabotage and reconnaissance operations and mining works.”

And those incoming “solidarity” UK Royal Navy warships will make nice targets for the Bal and Bastion crews.
Questions:
1) Now that the FSB has saved Lukashenko’s bacon, will Belorussia stand firm in its defence commitment with RF, against the Russophobic horde amassing at its borders?
2) What lies in store for that ungrateful backstabbing “partner” Sultan Erdogan? I hope all of RF’s commercial contracts with Turkey have war caveats for annulment, and oh, a secret S400 kill switch would be nice.
3) RF-PRC mutual digital currency + defense commitment when? Because the time for diplomatic messaging is over.
We live far beyond WWII military toys. Those evolved too much even the ones made by the ‘gas station masquerading as a country’. S-400s or even their ‘older’ relatives (export versions ofc) have built in so many surprises that not everyone is capable to process. A kill switch simply would have been an huge waste of resources. The bets are much higher than that. Creativity levels (or the lack of) is the only limiting factor. Presently, the Russian military industrial complex is far beyond every other else on the planet, even the Chinese. And today’s technology is a force multiplier for those in the RMIC building excellence everyday. As proof we know I much creative the Russkies have been in the last two decades. For some reason exceptionalistan is so worried about those S’ being delivered to Turkey and they’re not worried just because of a kill switch! Their worries is about them knowing the Russkies have been done just the same thing they do when they sell their bs to their ‘Allies’. Maybe excluding the shrimps, everyone else is just getting booby-trapped bs just in case.

Belarusians attack the United States and we will distract [attention] both in the political and the information sphere and will attack Russia,” the lawmaker said. According to him [Leonid Slutsky], European politicians, controlled by Washington, “will in every way pull the attention away from the situation in Belarus.” “They haven’t even tried to come up at short notice with something new and intelligible,” he said.

So, the moneylenders’ pet nocons are dreaming of a 2 front war with nuclear powers RF and PRC at the same time. It’s all about the impending spiral of death of the dollar. We are being dragged into an existential crisis.
Hence my earlier rumination that it’s past time for polite non-threatening non-committal foreign minister joint statements of RF and PRC.
Hello from Greece! Besides RT or Sputnik can you tell me other russian news sites?

All the interviews that Lavrov has given since his confrontational joint press conference with Josep Borrell are worth reading. A great many of them are the subjects of postings to this website. That was the turning point. Every single one gives the finger to the EU, feckless morons that they are. The gloves are definitely off.
This situation cannot go like this for longer time.
Either America and West will go to de-escalation very soon, or great war will start in Europe and probably in Chinese sea very soon.
It is up to West and USA …the decision is theirs.
Lukasenko??? His choices are very limited.
I do not want war, but sometimes I really wish they to attack Russia. To see western Satanists put on their knees.
USA and the West are in uneasy situation. They put themselves in this situation.
They started all this mess hoping that Russia will blink and capitulate
But Russia will not…they are idiots
So if they go to de-escalation they will look like sissies and everyone will laugh on them and their global hegemony will be bye bye.
If they start war …then … it is going to be hell. And hell for them in the first place.
Decision is theirs. Very difficult decision
The USA is at its lowest point. Cultural, industrial, economic and political collapse has already occurred. They remain momentarily in levitation thanks to propaganda (GAFA) and ex-nihilo monetary creation. They will recover. Isn’t it time to help them become a normal nation again, by inflicting them a crushing defeat.
Off-topic, but:
Can you tell me exactly the high point of this ciminal state, which was founded on the corpses of millions of the original inhabitants?
America’s supreme value is money, power in matter, the monopolization of everything. Its highest point is after the Second World War. The Korean standoff marked the peak. The Vietnamese defeat the beginning of the slow fall. The collapse is now total. Power can no longer be rebuilt. In accordance with their selfish values, they try to destroy what they cannot hope to possess.
“This exercise in what I would call “deliberate collective blindness and total hypocrisy” is a stain on every single country, entity or person engaged in it. Shame on you all!”
In principle, I agree with this statement, but it supposes that individual citizens in the “West,” even if they are knowledgeable an well-informed, even if they represent a number of indignant, or worried fellow-citizens, have any influence on the policies of those that govern the countries of which they hold passports.
Elections in the “West” are a sham, manipulated as they are by media propaganda and outright fraud. Democracy, if it ever existed, has now truly become a figment of the imagination. The evil Covid-Show, which is the same everywhere you look, especially in the “West,” just proves this point.
As a matter of fact, citizens (or rather, “tax.payers”) in the “West” are just as unfree as the Ukrainians. The small minority of Ukronazis runs the show there, so much we know.
Please bear in mind that Macron, Merkel, Johnson, Draghi, or whatever they are called, are transgender, lesbian, wacko, pure eveil, spineless, fake or whatever else, but above all psychopaths, just like Zelenski.
Two British warships to head for Black Sea in May – The Sunday Times
According to the newspaper, one Type 45 destroyer armed with anti-aircraft missiles and an anti-submarine Type 23 frigate will peel off from the Royal Navy’s carrier task group in the Mediterranean and sail through the Bosphorus into the Black Sea.
https://tass.com/world/1279483
More PR by the UKUS conjoined twins. Nothing to be excited about.
It would be interesting though if they showed off the F-35 from the ‘Queen Elizabeth’, mothership of the British carrier group and flew into the Black Sea sky and got lit up by RF air defence. Now that would be newsworthy, not least to Lockheed shareholders.
I sincerely wish them good luck!
Bwahahahahaha!!!
BREAKING: URGENT: President of Belarus Lukashenko announced the adoption of a ‘very important decision for him personally and for Belarus’. Some sources say that it is possible that this decision to join with Russia in some form, perhaps in the form of autonomy.
Americans are unaware that the low-grade morons currently ruling and disinforming them from Washington have given an American military guarantee to the neo-nazis installed in Ukraine with Washington’s “Maidan Revolution.”
Now the Washington idiots have one-upped the British idiots. They have given a military guarantee to a Ukrainian government as stupid as Poland’s in 1939.Western elites are desperate, they are doing everything to start a nuclear war with #Russia/#China, they are scared by cooperation because it would limit their hegemonic role, this is why they are using their Banana Republics like Ukraine, Taiwan, Czech Republic,… for this goal.

US Reportedly Reserves Option to Expand Sanctions Against Russian Debt, Monitors Moscow’s Reaction.
Bloomberg’s sources claim that Washington may expand the ban by forbidding American investors from buying Russian sovereign bonds on the secondary market (after it was resold) for 90 days after the initial offering, if the 15 April sanctions fail to have the desired effect.
As a part of the monitoring process, which might reportedly prompt new sanctions, Biden’s team will watch the global market’s reaction to the latest sanctions and the decisions of the Russian central bank. The board of the latter will meet on April 23 to decide whether or not to raise the interest rate in order to counter the effects of the sanctions on the ruble. The latter was losing up to 2% in value at times on the day the sanctions had been announced, but regained practically all losses by the market’s closing on 16 April.

Russia Could Leave PACE in Light of Recent Anti-Russia Events, Senior Lawmaker Says
He added that within the next few days, a harsh anti-Russian resolution was going to be adopted in relation to the Navalny case.
On Friday, a spokesperson of the European People’s Party (EPP), the largest political group in the European parliament, told Sputnik that there were calls for new EU sanctions against Russia amid a similar decision made by the US.

Expulsion of Russian diplomats to distract attention from Belarus, lawmaker says

“As a part of the monitoring process, which might reportedly prompt new sanctions, Biden’s team will watch the global market’s reaction to the latest sanctions and the decisions of the Russian central bank.”
An emulation of the acceleration of mutual reliances of Gosplan and the Politburo from 1984 onwards leading to perestroika, glasnost and the demise of the “Soviet Union”.
There is no doubt that Russian strategists think beyond the present conflict (1000 years of existential threats). They know that the indisputable superiority of the Russian armies will only last for a while. Edogan believes that he can continue to play on all fronts. This means that sooner or later the Turks will have to be brought to their senses. In relation to Turkey, and largely beyond, the Crimea is a master strategic asset. It must be strengthened. Crimea must be connected to the Dnieper river basin. This water is necessary for people and agriculture. Thus, the Nato salient Karkhow, Odessa, Donbass should be reduced by the Donbass forces. Subsequently and without delay, a referendum will be held to attach the “Greater Donbass” to Russia. Why not include Kiev in this vital long-term movement?
At the same time Belarus is holding a referendum to join Russia.
In this scenario Russian amphibious forces cover the southern flank of the Donbass forces advance to Mariupol and then to Odessa.
The Russian-backed Donbass forces have control of the escalation. This allows them to start their offensive advantageously outside their defensive perimeter.
At the same time the Houthis strategically escalate and totally interrupt the Saudi oil production. The Chinese sell a few hundred billion $ of US Bond. The $ falls by 30%. Wall Street too. The Chinese blockade Taiwan, which signs a gradual attachment agreement after having accepted its neutralization.
The supremacy of the West is over.
Such a plan implies risks of nuclear escalation, but no doubt Russian, Chinese and Iranian strategists have thought through such complex scenarios.
As the saying goes:
When God closes a door, he opens a window.
This window is opening right now with the active help of the United Kingdom.
After the greatest military in the universe decided not to visit the Black Sea after all, Hood’s descendants seized the unexpected opportunity and heroically jumped into the breach.

And so, the Russian Federation is opening up entirely new avenues of asymmetric warfare in the Ukraine conflict.
The strategy:
– Create disunity and confusion in NATO countries.
– Avoid the big war
– To set the red lines very clearly
– End the Ukrainian threat once and for all.
Tactics:
– Blocking RF airspace for all aircraft from the UK/US.
– Close RF airspace to all aircraft taking off from Heathrow.
– All other countries/airlines/airports are allowed to continue flying over the RF (and pay for it)
– In advance, it must be made clear that the British fleet will pay a heavy price for any acts of war in the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean.
– In the event of an escalation of the conflict in the Donbass, British aircraft and ships will be targeted and taken out. In the Black Sea and eastern Mediterranean. No one else. American “assets” remain untouched wherever possible.
Russia would have to make it very clear that it considers the UK to be the real belligerent in the Donbass and elsewhere.
Keyword: Navalny, Skripal (both operations of the MI6, not Germany (even if it looked a bit so in the latter case))
And let the UK pay the price all by itself.
Does anyone seriously believe that NATO (France, Spain, Romania, Italy) feel like nuclear doom just because they are supposed to support British warmongering?
Once apart from the fact that none of these countries can contribute anything substantial to a war against Russia.
It won’t happen that way.

Are The British Behind Czechia’s Surprise Decision To Expel Russian Diplomats?
All of Europe is discussing Czechia’s surprise decision to expel a whopping 18 Russian diplomats on alleged espionage pretexts as well as their curious claims that Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov of Skripal saga infamy were behind an accidental 2014 munitions depot explosion in the country. This follows hot on the heels of the US imposing its most intense sanctions against Russia since 2018, which itself occurred within the context of Ukraine’s unprovoked US-backed military escalation in Donbass. I posited that the purpose of the latter is actually to manufacture the political conditions whereby Europe’s possibly impending large-scale purchase of Sputnik V might become impossible, thereby indefinitely prolonging America’s fading hegemony over the continent seeing as how close epidemiological cooperation between Russia and the EU could in theory create the opportunity for an incipient rapprochement between them. I elaborated on this in my relevant analysis asking, “Are Vaccines The Real Driving Force Behind The Latest Donbass Destabilization?”
The British-Russian “Deep State” Struggle In Europe

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Czech Foreign Minister Jan Hamacek on Sunday announced plans to discuss the 2014 explosion of an ammunitions depot in Vrbetice during a Monday meeting of EU foreign ministers.

1) The Czech Republic, at the request of the Americans, excluded China from the tender for the construction of a new nuclear power plant in Dukovany.
2) Then it expels 18 Russian diplomats on false information.
3) US Westinghouse will win the tender.
Well there seems to be several articles in UK press which might support your contention re MI5 creating circumstances sufficient to enable instructions to Czech Rep. for such actions. It is suggested that Russian agents blew up the ammo dumps that were suppying munitions to Ukraine. It seems since then in 2014 sufficient time has elapsed to fabricate case at this useful opportunity against Russia.
There seems to be some kind of “history” of Czechoslovakian intelligence back then being mixed up in various behaviours…then a big summative situation in 2007 according to a pedia article. Does one suspect that Czech. was most useful as a focus for covert activities… infiltrations etc against Russia. Then Russian intel involved in the interplay of back and forth. Are there any experts out there who can provide a truthful summation?
“Control by fire” is a beautiful doctrine and completely supplants boots on the ground.
I disagee. Only boots on the ground can really win a war.
But yes, modern warfare is dramatically different from WWII
Catherine Austin Fitts interviewed today on USA Watchdog:
https://usawatchdog.com/greatest-violations-of-nuremberg-code-in-history-catherine-austin-fitts/
At the [23m45s] mark they discuss the situation in regards to Ukraine. Fitts claims that this is actually an attack on Europe to drag it back firmly into the Anglosphere and an attempt to stop NS2 (one would guess that any actual conflict directly between Russia and NATO would end all EU-Russian economic ties for the forseeable future).
The U.S. dollar currency has apparently dropped to less than 60% of global currency reserves all the while the euro’s percentage has been increasing. The inference being military action within the EU’s borders (or even on the edge of – i.e. Ukraine) would decrease euro stability while increasing USD stability…
First, I love CAF and I have great respect for her, and the differences that I have with her are truly of the unimportant kind. She is a true and good person, sharp and highly intelligent.
With this video though, one can ignore the interruptions of the host.
I am not in agreement with CAF when she says that what is happening now is a clawback of the EU in terms of the Euro winning more space in the de-dollarization race. You will find that the massive scale of the SCO (Shangai Cooperation Organization) and all of its many tentacles are now providing a bigger share of simply not using the USDollar, although this is more difficult to measure as much of this is an exchange of currency between countries and then operating in their local currencies. This is not generally measurable by current western financial tools. So, there is much more about this, but this example should suffice for now. Just two days ago and I don’t think the timing was at all incidental, we heard from the SCO in a TASS report: SCO working on a gradual transition to national currencies in payments.
https://tass.com/economy/1279039
Then we need to accept that CAF talks from her Christian perspective and that is a specific perspective. She may be right, the jabs may be ‘mark of the beast’ but you will find that at least in Orthodox teachings the perception here is very different. So, this is a representation of only one part of the Christian world and this is not the whole world.
In addition, she makes no difference between types of vaccine, and as this is a sensitive topic on The Saker blog, all I will say is that the whole world wants SputikV. More or less on this tack, people talk easily about the Nuremberg Codes. This is a set of ethical codes developed after the Nuremberg trials, but no country, no organization, nobody has signed onto the codes as international law to my knowledge. They are ethical only.
Yes, the use of the USDollar is dropping. This is a designed action between Russia, China and organizations such as the SCO. If one sees the de-dollarization as only a ‘Euro’ thing, it is perhaps not very clear or accurate. What is happening here is the depths of the fight between a single-polar hegemonic ruler of the world, and a more fair multi-polar world. It is existential and much bigger than the Euro
CAF should be taken here to speak for what is happening in the ZoneA countries and from that perspective I can find little wrong with what she says. But some of the perspectives of the ZoneB countries is missing.
Just a few notes on this one, and I still love CAF and have the greatest respect for her. It may be that she knows what I say about the de-dollarization but that she is just speaking about those things that her audience on this platform can handle.
You make some excellent points Amarynth
And my 2 cents worth…
CAF is in the same category as PCR when being interviewed by Hunter. They have to tread very carefully on many subjects whilst others are just completely taboo.
Hunter is the arch Sino/Russiaphobe so his guests have to treat anything to do with those countries like the plague…any suggestion that they might be doing something even half-right is simply a no-go in the Hunter sandpit.
So too on the subject of Israel…Hunter could even teach his idol Trump a thing or two when it comes to MIGA. As far as GH is concerned Palestinians have zero rights and their cause is indefensible. Many years ago CAF mentioned that perhaps Palestinians did have some legitimate cause for complaint and GH immediately threw all the toys clean out of the pit…the subject to my knowledge was never broached again.
Another point is that Hunter is rabidly Christian Fundamentalist and evangelical in his belief in the rapture. IMO this alone makes his position as a geopolitical commentator completely untenable.
Nutjobs like Pompeo, Bolton, Abrams, Nuland, Bliken, etc would really get off on many of Hunter’s views but the man himself is far too dense to realize that he has long been recruited and used by the 3Ns.
As much as I admire both CAF and PCR, there are serious credibility issues here when they are regularly interviewed on WD, but are muzzled to such a degree by such an outrageously partisan puppet.
In the same interview, you refer to, Hunter at the 24min mark demonstrates his unbelievable geopolitical ignorance when he completely misquotes PCR on the Crimea/Sevastopol Naval base…
…his words and I quote…”PCR told me they had a multi-decade treaty and the Russians went in there and set their navy up…paying Ukraine and then they were going to take it away!”…end quote…
I rest my case just on his Crimea comment alone. The ignorance and the misrepresentation is truly mind-boggling….IMO CAF needs to be very careful discussing any geopolitical issues on public forums with people that are so hopelessly and utterly ill-informed and bigoted.
Cheers

You are dead right re the Nuremburg Codes Amarynth…here is a quote from the link below…
“The Nuremberg Code has not been officially adopted in its entirety as law by any nation or as ethics by any major medical association. Nonetheless, its influence on global human-rights law and medical ethics has been profound.6
Its basic requirement of informed consent, for example, has been universally accepted and is articulated in international law in Article 7 of the United Nations International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (1966).6,22 Informed consent, with specific reliance on the Nuremberg Code, is also the basis of the International Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical Research Involving Human Subjects, the most recent guidelines promulgated by the World Health Organization and the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences (1993).23”

Regarding the topic of Russia’s amphibious options, here is a cool video of the Caspian flotilla sailing through the Kerch Strait… the Crimean Bridge looks amazing!
https://twitter.com/MilitaryBlog/status/1383501800817397763?s=20
Things have really escalated on the diplomatic front..(Failed US regime change attempt in Belarus, arrest of Ukrainian Consul in St Petersburg, more diplomatic expulsions in the West – thanks to our Czech friends for reporting on that..) a prelude to military escalation?
@Serbian girl, To be honest, there is nothing extraordinary in the design of the 2 bridges, ditto from a purely technical point of view, it was a big project because of its length (length on both side to join the bridges) and because of its importance to link the Crimea other than the ferry since the near closure of the road passage through the North.
If you want to see a “beautiful bridge” (aesthetics and high tech) look at the two in Vladivostok
Here the “Russky Island bridge”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcOTjQ4vvKA
In 2010, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed an agreement to build a bridge across the Kerch Strait.
To come back to the road bridge in Crimea, what is interesting is to see how easy and quick it is to cross, even if the conditions to get a ticket had greatly improved after 2014, plus the implementation of more modern ferries, with the bridge there is no longer this worry of seeing ferries stopped by the weather (it was not uncommon to have to wait up to a few days in the winter) and I’m not even talking about the situation before 2014 when you had to face the Ukrainian customs officers….
Before, you always had anecdotes after a crossing, nowadays it is very simple, in fact you don’t even feel like you are making the crossing…
Now that’s a very elegant bridge! (Russky Island)
When I said the Crimean Bridge looks amazing I was referring to how it looks against the backdrop of the grey misty sky, turquoisey water, ambient music, etc in the video.
” There are no peace demonstrations, everybody (including the pretend “liberals”) keep their eyes totally shut and refuse to see ANY Ukie military moves. ”
So true. I was listening to CBC news this morning talking about Russian troop movements and aggression. Not a word about Ukrainian tricks. The propaganda brainwashing is complete. When I explain the documented truth to people, I get anger and denial. I’m not so popular. The general populace is hopeless.
“I get anger and denial. I’m not so popular.”
Indeed, people do not like to have their delusions spoiled by Debbie Downer. Still, one never knows when one has planted a little seed of doubt in the mind of even the most determined-to-be-deluded.
Nasty and undesirable as war usually is, I can’t help thinking that war now, against the Ukraine, would spare the need for a bigger and nastier war later on. Time to show that the US no longer calls the shots. Maybe then Europe will end their disastrous alliance with the US.
Sadly, I am starting to feel the same way.

A US nuclear-powered submarine may have entered the Black Sea in violation of the Montreux Treaty.
The US submarine may have even entered Russian territorial waters.
According to information published by the Russian media avia.pro, there is intense mobility in the air. Russian AFNS Il-20 took off and followed a strange route in the eastern part of the Black Sea as there were suspicions of a US submarine that could even enter Russian territorial waters.
The route followed by the Russian AFNS IL-20 is strange while even more strange is the fact that the reason for its mission was not announced.
“The Il-20 took off from Akhtubinsk air base to carry out its mission,” Russian media reported.

In another forum I was reminded that the Minsk Agreements were codified in a UNSC resolution… 2022 on 7 Feb 15. This resolution contains the following relevant clauses and adoption statements:
“The 13-paragraph “package of measures”, contained in Annex I of the resolution, called for a number of actions.
An immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine and its strict implementation as of 15 February 2015
Withdrawal of all heavy weapons by both sides by equal distances in order to create a security zone.
Withdrawal of all foreign armed formations, military equipment and mercenaries from the territory of Ukraine.
Disarmament of all illegal groups.
Reform of Ukraine with a new constitution entering into force by the end of 2015. That document had to provide for decentralization, as well as adopting permanent legislation on the special status of certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in line with eight measures until the end of 2015.
Council members had also emphasized that perpetrators must be held accountable for the 2014 downing of the Malaysian airliner that killed 298 people.
Echoing a common view, the representative of France said it was the Council’s collective responsibility to “silence the guns”. The representative of Germany said the resolution was of utmost importance, conveying a stern message to those who violated the ceasefire.
Agreeing, the representative of Ukraine called on the Security Council’s permanent members to prevent violations. ”
My anticipated course of action by Russia::……………….
I believe, Russia will claim it’s action(s) in Ukraine are for the purpose of enforcing UNSC resolution 2022. That such action was specifically called for by the Ukraine upon the resolution’s adoption, and such action includes removal of all NATO forces in Ukraine because they are “foreign forces” specifically required to be removed from Ukraine.
Russia will supervise elections of a “unity” government and shepherd development and adoption of a new constitution as envisioned in UNSC 2022.
Russia will search and destroy Right Sector and the other extremist groups, as envisioned in UNSC 2022.
Russia has been gathering evidence of “crimes against humanity, and war crimes perpetrated since the 2014 coup, including the massacre in Odessa, and the sniper killings in Kiev. Russia will conduct a war crimes tribunal, for the purpose of bringing perpetrators of the above, including the MH 17 downing, to justice.
Russia will conduct these operations throughout the entirety of Ukraine, likely with their forces wearing “blue” helmets.
NATO and specifically UK/USA will be powerless to interfere.
Comments by Larchmonter and Saker appreciated.

Dear Saker,
This is my first time posting on your site. I have nonetheless been an avid reader of it for many years and value highly your insights and keen analyses of the current events in what I might call “Russia World”, including of course the current and serious issues with regard to the Ukraine.
In similar vein to many posters here, I have observed the steady deterioration of the ability of the masses of the western world to escape the Matrix of the CIA/MSM propaganda and as a result suffer the loss of ability to think critically. It is truly depressing and shows no sign of letting up, in fact the absurdity levels are increasing.
This site and sadly only a handful of other stalwarts serves as an oasis in a sea of lies and spin. As we arrive on the brink of all-out war in Europe (again!) you provide a premier resource for all sane individuals who seek real information.
Thank you Saker, may you long continue!
Cheers to that. I have also be an avid reader for years, and I rarely comment. I agree it is an excellent site, thanks indeed Saker.
Did you see SouthFront and Strategic-Culture got sanctioned?
I hope sites like this an a few others don’t get ‘cancelled’ for Americans, especially at a time like this. If so we will close our scope into the historical happenings of our time. I pray that doesn’t happen.

From your lips to God’s ears, Liz.
I’m pretty sure that if/when the real shooting war in the Ukraine starts in a big way, one of the first casualties will be the global Internet connections. The on-the-ground contributions from posters such as Auslander have been a tremendous source of info and I hope this will continue so far as possible. I believe the Saker has wisely kept this site digitally based in Iceland (correct me if I’m mistaken) so fingers crossed on that score.
All the best Liz, and to everyone here.
I’m sure the Royal Navy would be made welcome and there may even be space for them to put out an anchor (grins) and take a small rest.

For PR, the Russians should take the real Boshyrov and Petrov and make them celebrities. Put them in a spy comedy where there go around the world playing a Forrest Gump-like role in various events, like helping Saddam hide his WMDs, putting novichock everywhere, and even traveling back in time to burn down the Reichstag.
Are the war wongers using Ukraine to tie up significant Russian military assets to start up a full invasion of Syria or VZ? Maybe a combined invasion of Syria with the Israelis? Just a thought.
I wonder about something like assassinations or decapitation strikes on Maduro and/or Assad, or even (less likely) the Iranian government/nuclear sites. Imagine three such things taking place (Lukashenko killed by “domestic” foes, Israel bombs Assad’s home, and an assassination or strike on Caracas), leaving Tikhanovskaya and Guaidó as the obvious successors and chaos in Syria. About as unlikely as a trade war, several biological disasters and killing of a prominent Iranian general taking place at once.
The apparent plot involving Lukashenko planned for execution on May 9 may be related timing-wise. There are two NATO exercises on either side of that date in Europe so a larger than normal number of troops would be present. Also similarly timed exercises in North Africa, meaning more warships in or near the Med.
Royal Navy warships will sail for the Black Sea next month as tensions continue to rise between Ukrainian and Russian forces. The Sunday Times, April 18 2021

The Black Sea is going to get very busy these days it seems…although this deployment is planned for May and a lot can happen between then and now.

On January 6th, as the Capitol riot exploded, this interesting video from America’s foremost war correspondent was played: https://youtu.be/4bIeKj7fZ8U It has now completely disappeared from the internet, but at the time I managed to capture this link to it. One of the many revelations in this piece was that “these shadowy actors told the leaders of these left-wing groups not to have a visible presence at the planned protests. While these hostile actors were reported by the media to have been missing from the scene at the capitol building protest, there were numerous credible reports, including this one by America’s foremost war correspondent, that Antifa infiltrators were mingling in the crowd.” [This video describes clearly what as going on, and I’m linking it to Crimea, the Way Home, because these activities were also going on in Crimea,]
[I suggest you link the following video from this particular sputnik site because you should not have any trouble viewing it.] Crimea The Way Home https://sptnkne.ws/cRpX
It is a reenactment of Crimea’s battle for freedom from Ukraine, and the actors are those who participated in the actual events. Seeing and hearing these people tell their real stories, along with President Putin’s supporting efforts is an eye-opener — if you have not seen him ‘at work.’
I suggest starting at the beginning of the video. You will be given the understanding that the men who were so brutally beaten were members of The Berkut, outlawed by Kiev. At minute 27 through minute 39 you will get some much needed background, and as things develop you will see the importance of this history. When things heat up before the parliament building in Crimea as they intend to take a vote there, the Crimean Tartars, who it is important to know are Muslims, appear to be working against Crimea. At roughly minute 44, Putin explains that this, indeed, was happening and why. . (I found it necessary to stop and rewind more than once until I completely comprehended this information). Then, through some fast moving action, you will see how there are people in the crowd who are not Tartars, but who were influencing the Tartars — and seemingly — the outcome of the struggle. They are using the tactics the war correspondent talks about, as they attempt to divide the crowd, and which I clearly saw as I watched the events of January 6 on my computer.
Later on in the video when the Crimean people again have their backs against the wall, these Muslim Tartars come to their aid. We realize then that they are genuinely a part of Russia, and their Tartar (Muslim) history and ethnicity is secondary.

In the video below, you will hear how Putin had a call from Victoria Nuland, asking him to stand down in Maidan (shocking, no?)
https://youtu.be/IldUKuYbcLs
I have watched this video several times, and it has changed from time to time. with some material removed or added. One incident that I believe is new, is when Putin describes a horrible hostage event at a concert/? What is new is material that was kept back on how it was solved — in quite an extraordinary manner, I might add. It helps me to feel secure that whatever Putin chooses to do, and whenever he chooses to do it, it likely will be an asymmetrical response — and it will not harm ’the little guy’.
This video is the second of two videos about Putin’s life; I call it His Presidency. (I think it is called Putin 2.) I found it very difficult to watch because of the way the translation is arranged, mixed in with the title of whomever is speaking, but I was interested enough to stick with it and soon developed the mental means to block out the title and go directly — and quickly — to the translation. I found it was worth the effort.
PS You tube is now blocking the videos of his Presidency. I think the only video they cannot block is Crimea . . . People may get in, but if they do, they should stick with it; otherwise, it will be blocked. This was my experience.
There are more people than you think that are awake in the west to what is going on. Forget what the media says, most people who think for themselves in the west are hoping that if the USA attacks they and their Ukrainian ally get their asses kicked all the way to Washington. Not too many American soldiers want to fight an ally and that is what Russia is. After 9/11, Iraq, and Afghanistan, I think most military in the ranks have smartened up to what is going on. USA is the aggressor and looking for another bankers war over gas.
It’s a pity that those people who are awake have not yet decided to kick the American stooges out of the various European governments, in the next elections. Vote for people who want an end to NATO and to the alliance with the US and the problem will soon be solved.
“Vote for people who want an end to NATO”
Hahahaha… That was funny!
Not even getting into consideration that if voting changed anything, they wouldnt allow it, and most if not all european elections are just smoke and mirrors to what has been previously decided behind locked doors by pyramidal power structures, based on secrecy, aprons and silices, when not on pure evil, raw money, power and manipulation. (i digress )
The idea that there is even a choice of anti nato in most parlaments is just a joke.
Exempli gratia, in spain in the early 80’s filipe gonzales run on an anti nato platform and was elected “presidiente”… And then capained in favor on the referendu.m about the decision.
This comment would be better in the cafe. Mod.
But there is, I perceived it within myself since 1980, a revulsion against the
liars-splendor and coolness of Hollywood, the industrialization of hippie-,
Woodstock- and similar dreams. Being a late offspring of slavic descendence
in German east.
My heart yearns for the simplicity of the rural Slavic soul, an end to the slave-role
in colonial games, and unconsciously (alas) most fellow-humans and neighbors
do so.
I hope that this is not too off-topic.
I’m watching out for the big signs of imminent, large scale conflict. (I don’t think that there’s going to be a bell that’s rung right before the fighters come out of their corners.)
— RT and Sputnik and a wide variety of, how shall I put it, anti-establishment web sites are going to experience simultaneous “technical difficuties” that either make them unwatchable or disappear them.
— Large cities may be fully or partially-but-noticeably evacuated — at least of their VIPs. (Which is why a few months ago I proposed such large-scale evacuation drills in Russia, without explanation, as a way of “sending the West a message” that they’d really start foaming at the mouth about.)
— Normal methods of communication between the populations of the US, Russia and China may suddenly become terrible, to the point of making such communication “voluntarily” undesirable. You know, more “technical difficulties”.
I’d be interested in reading what others, particularly The Saker, are looking out for as signs of imminent war.
– Billionaires flocking to New Zealand (where most of them have built their doomsday bunkers)
– The whole US submarine fleet leaving their homeports (where they may be easily sunk) and disappearing into the seas
– US embassies worldwide adopting exceptional security measures
Mass exodus of the chosen ones from NYC (perhaps with an alternative explanation like taxing the rich?)
UPDATE —
I just watched the full video of Putin 2. (It is possible to get it, but I did not attempt to fast forward it, etc. because that is when they ‘pulled’ it.) At the 1:05 minute mark — or just shortly before it — the amazing story is told about the terrorists and Chechnya. The entire video is worth everyone’s viewing, because I believe Putin is portrayed in a very honest light. Throughout his entire life, his decisions make it clear the sort of person he is — not perfect, but honest, a real truthseeker. I believe he came here with a purpose, whether he understands this, or not.
To my surprise, they have now edited out his statement about Victoria Nuland. Perhaps the decision was made that this is not the time to put such inflamatory words out into the world. But, I am a truthteller, and I did hear those words.
Saker, I don’t know what you will choose to do about my suggestion, but I hope you at least will watch these videos for yourself.
Thank you for considering my ideas.

Here’s an update I just wrote this evening.
The plot thickens. Russian authorities claim to have foiled a planned assassination attempt against the Belorussian president, Alexander Lukashenko. Two men were allegedly in Moscow to meet with disloyal Belorussian generals to discuss murdering Lukashenko on May 9, Victory Day. Lukashenko also alleges a kidnapping conspiracy against his family.
While significant in itself, assassinating Lukashenko correlates with the standoff simmering in Ukraine. The Black Sea Fleet currently maintains total superiority and could effortlessly sink the entire Ukrainian navy within minutes of hostilities breaking out. Russia has combined arms units assembled in Crimea, along the Eastern border of Ukraine, and in Belarus, creating a three-sided “cauldron” that could potentially end a shooting war almost before it started.
Zelensky faces a serious problem that, to be fair, wasn’t his doing. The U.S. and NATO brazenly provoked Russia and are now only defending Ukraine with lip service. Breathless speeches about Putin being a “killer” won’t save the Ukronazis if Russian armed forces roll across the border. Despite Zelensky’s cries for help, NATO won’t so much as reroute the Patriot missile batteries destined for Poland.
This assassination attempt against Lukashenko might have been an effort to reignite chaos in Belarus, tying up the Russian ground units, artillery, and airfields located there, and possibly much of the rest of Putin’s forces if he decides to swoop in and clean house like he did in response to the 2014 Ukrainian color revolution…

Here more info about Belarus
It’s in German but you can translate it easy on English
The saker should give us his opinion on this quite important development
We hear so much in comments about the dangers of Russia taking down the Ukonazi regime. But now let’s look at the benefits of Russia’s removal of the Ukonazi regime in Kiev and their replacement with a neutral/pro-Russian government:
1.Ending today’s Ukraine as a source of trouble inside Belarus,Moldova,Donbass, and Russia itself. Recently they were responsible for sowing trouble between Russia and Belarus,i.e. the “Russian mercenary made-up plot” a few monts ago. The saboteurs sent into Crimea,Donbass, and Western Russia over the last years.Cutting off water and electricity to Crimea and Donbass .Threats to blockade Transnistra, and join Moldova in attacking them.Sending agents to recruit traitors in those countries. Ongoing attempts to join NATO and put NATO forces directly on Russia’s borders. Running constant anti-Russian campaigns against not just Russia’s government ,but against the Russian people themselves.
2.Ending a neo-nazi anti-Russian threat right next door to Russia. The country that suffered by far the worst damage from the German nazis and their minions during WW2 and in guerilla war in the Soviet borderlands for years afterwards. Is now forced to “play nice” with the descendants of the traitors of that era that helped the German nazis to slaughter Soviet citizens. And for a Russia that takes unbelievable pride in defeating and ending that evil over 75 years ago that must hurt deeply the soul .The fact that the West and the Ukonazis are using lies to try and undo in peoples minds the events of the Great Patriotic War and the common “Rus” heritage of the Triune nation is a special wound intolerable to not be treated.
3.Restoring in the Ukraine its Rus-sian roots, will also restore the economic links between those nations. While its true that must of Ukraine’s industry has been depleted. The fine coal deposits are there, the huge high quality iron deposits are still there. The site that was the Soviet Union’s premier shipbuilding center is still there. And in Kiev and Eastern Ukraine you still have the remnants of companies that made Ukraine a high technology center of the USSR.The land that made Ukraine the breadbasket of the Russian Empire and the USSR is also still there (yes I know they have sold some of the top soil, but most still remains).Russia is developing a powerhouse agricultural economy now,its true. But adding Ukraine’s resources to it,will make it even better.
4. Removes the need to spend vast amounts of money on Donbass, and on projects to counter Ukrainian actions in Crimea. As well as on military expenses because of the Ukrainian threat. The money could if needed be used as seed money to improve the Ukrainian economy, and connect it firmly with Russia’s.
5. I believe that by ending the Ukonazi regime, and installing a neutral/pro-Russian government it will be their forces that destroy the remainder of the Ukonazi remnants. From what I hear from Ukrainians, at least in the East and South they would not oppose the overthrow of the Ukonazis. There are probably plenty of other Ukrainians in the West that feel the same.
In case anyone is interested in the pure, unadulterated, government-dictated propaganda that the Bewildered Herd in Canada is being subjected to about “Ukraine” by the “Canadian” MSM, start watching at 16:40 of the video of today’s Global National News broadcast, introduced by the following:
“Still ahead: Russia’s military might —- Can the US halt the march toward Ukraine?”

17 April – Norway has signed a military agreement with the US.
The agreement between the two NATO allies will allow the US to build facilities at three Norwegian airports and at one naval base.
Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I was wondering if you would let me know what your thoughts are on the following.
Since we live in the age of informational war and most perfidious propaganda, and considered Russian tolerance, compromises and turning the other cheek over the last 15 years or so, I think that Russia will wait until it has undeniable proofs of aggression and/or crimes committed by her enemies (satellite photos, videos and other multimedia material) and only then will she react with force. I’m not saying that she will wait until the people in Donbass are all massacred, rather, she will wait exactly until she has all the undeniable evidence of the crimes committed by the other side. I say this because it seems that Russia still needs as much of world on her side as possible, yes, even though she is the victim of aggression.
I’m not a strategist or someone who knows much about this topic, but I did fellow Russian rise from the ashes since the end of Yeltsin’s mandate, so please bear with me. This is how it seems to me, but please, do let me know what you think.
Best,
I
In response to Chris GG
“– Blocking RF airspace for all aircraft from the UK/US.
– Close RF airspace to all aircraft taking off from Heathrow.
– All other countries/airlines/airports are allowed to continue flying over the RF (and pay for it) ”
Don’t forget Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands! Wasn’t this where the doomed Malaysian airliner (and all those poor passengers and flight crew who lost their lives) departed from just before it was taken out over Ukraine?
Lets not forget how the US,UK + Nato soften up their adversaries by first demonizing (dehumanizing) them, before they try to destroy them, and that their illegal actions are always about seizing and/or controlling energy resources, markets, geostrategic locations or retarding an adversaries economic development. We also know they do this while projecting themselves in the world media as valiant, honorable and often ‘reluctant’ enforcers of peace. They’re great actors.
For example, a sovereign nation like Syria; home to a myriad of cultural and ethnic groups living in secular harmony, ancient Roman ruins, and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, is set up to be conquered and divided along its ethnic/cultural lines. But we in the West are told in the media that Syria is being destroyed and becoming a failed state because their leader is evil and he has a thing for gassing his own civilians whenever his military using conventional weapons is virtually on the cusp of assured victory. Never mind he is basically a Shia, married to a Sunni wife, they have kids together and he controls a military that is approximately 70% Sunni. That’s some strong ethnic/cultural harmony right there.
Coalitions of the ‘willing’, bullying, isolation, siege warfare, overt and covert destabilization, plans for enforced economic servitude (like a mafia protection racket), all hidden behind a humanitarian (R2P) media campaign served up 24/7. How does one stand up to all this evil and survive?
I believe if war is forced upon Russia in the Ukraine by the West (and it would be very hard to argue it isn’t being attempted right now before our very eyes) it will be Ukraine, not Russia, which will be balkanized, and it will be Russia which has every moral right to do so, because Russia will actually be defending ‘real’ human rights, and saving people (many with dual Ukrainian/Russian citizenship) and these people have been subjected to a shameless, slow-motion, and open ‘war of aggression’ in their own country, by their own leaders (Installed via a coup d’état)!
Ukrainians in the Donbass have had their lives destroyed because they’ve been subjected to nearly ten years of war (imposed on them by the West, but actually aimed at Russia), and it will probably take them ten more to recover should they survive. Imagine living through 15-20 years of war and its after effects. You cannot go through that and remain the same.
A ‘war of aggression’ must always be recognized as the supreme crime a nation can commit, since all other conceivable crimes are contained within it. It’s time to enforce international law and restructure the UN + the OPCW.
More confirmation that defeating the Ukonazis should be popular in much of Ukraine:
“Nazis get ready: SBU lieutenant colonel told how the war in Donbass will end”
Speaking about the war in Donbass, which, in the event of a real escalation, will undoubtedly spread to the whole of Ukraine, one must remember that the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians are either against the conflict in the southeast, or live according to the principle of “my house is hidden. Russia and the LPR can only call outright enemies by force 15% of the population – nationalists and other stubborn patriots who are ready only to kill and steal. These guys will have to be eliminated in the event of a big war. The rest will voluntarily accept an analogue of the de-Nazification in Germany, which took place in 1945.
This opinion was shared with Donetsk journalists by SBU Lieutenant Colonel Vasily Prozorov, who sided with the LPNR, answering a question about the likelihood of civil reconciliation in Ukraine. He stressed that a radical minority like the militants of the same “Azov” will need to be destroyed. These are terrorists, which is already recognized even in the West. At the same time, the rest of the Ukrainians will gladly accept the new adequate government (if such is still possible in Ukraine) and the process of denazification launched by it. Without this, the nationalist infection, which is now being spread even in schools, cannot be eradicated. The layman needs to be introduced to the “exploits” of the maniacs from “Tornado” or “Azov” and clearly explain who and on whose order fired at civilians of Donbass for many years.
Prozorov is sure that there is no doubt about civil reconciliation in Ukraine with such an approach. Many Ukrainians have been waiting for this reconciliation for seven years, despite the massive, aggressive propaganda pouring down from all sources of information.
The former SBU officer is right about something, but he clearly went overboard with the number of radicals. In fact, there are a little more of them now than there were before the Maidan. They just got out of their caches and tried to show their strength, taking advantage of the impunity and the roof of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. But even in the midst of Nazi hysteria, the leaders of this whole unhealthy movement have to bring “patriots” from all regions for some kind of mass actions. What are 15%? On the strength of over 3%. And in order to eliminate them, you will first need to catch them, because they will run in the forefront and faster than everyone else. Two years ago, they even got scared of the clown and huddled in their holes until they realized that he was even more afraid of them.

As I nosed around the alternative news sites this morning I found the attached link with reference to Turkey now recruiting jihadis to (once more) do its dirty work, this time in Ukraine. Not sure if this has merit, but I’m posting it here so that others who are better informed can have an opinion.
Frankly, I’m becoming a bit tired of Erdogan and his machinations.

Zero mainstream coverage today of the foiled, U.S. backed plot to assassinate Belarus president Lukashenko
What we have here is “very likely” (to use current Anglo-American political jargon) involvement of the United States in yet another regime change operation. The revolution from below in Belarus led by Tikhanovskaya with support from Poland and Lithuania failed. The anti-Lukashenko street demonstrations led to nothing. And now Plan B, a putsch from above, was being organized to achieve the objective of removing Lukashenko both politically and physically. We have not seen such openly murderous plans with “likely” U.S. backing since John Kennedy’s days when the assassination of Fidel Castro was the hot game in D.C.
On the same “very likely” logic, I permit myself to take this all back to the door of the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Policy Victoria Nuland. The links to Warsaw and Kiev that appear present are all in line with what she was doing to precipitate the Maidan in 2013 and violent overthrow of the sitting President in Kiev amidst attempts to murder him as he made his escape to Russian territory in February 2014…
