Moscow, September 23, 2018 – The Russian Ministry of Defense is revealing a detailed chronology of the downing of a Il-20 plane near the coast of Syria six days ago. Earlier, the Russian MoD said the plane had been used as cover by Israeli F-16 jets during their strikes in Latakia, resulting in Syrian air defenses shooting down the Russian plane.
things have been better for the Zionist regime…. looks like the party is over…
The schism between Shoigu’s MOD and Israel’s IDF is made explicit, clear and profound.
Israel will have to accept responsibility, pay reparations (probably in secret) and cease its operations against Syria.
Russia will use a NO FLY ZONE enforcement until Israel complies.
There now is a different relationship between the two militaries. Regardless of what Putin may or may not want, Shoigu will have the final say on this matter. What he wants and needs for resolution that satisfies his military is what will be the final word. Putin, of course, will not defy. He is in accord with this. It’s not political or Command over the Military. This is a wound to the Military and only they can determine what Israel’s military must do to satisfy the grave transgression and broken agreement.
And all of this is based on Facts the Russians have, bolstered by the Bullshit the IDF brought to Moscow.
Putin now has a weapon to use over the Israelis. Nothing they ask for or demand will be granted until his Military is satisfied by actions of recompense.
And Putin can now bring more S-300, S-400 battalions to Syria for self-protection (and protection of Syria, Lebanon and even Turkey).
Anything the Russian military wants in Syria for protection will be granted. There are no other considerations from anyone that matter.
Russia has to beef up their presence and power in Syria. Shoigu will determine this.
I don’t mean to indicate a split between Putin and Shoigu. It is simply that the Military has suffered this loss. And only they can determine what must be done by Russia to prevent any further losses. It’s a military thing, not a political thing.
The search and recovery will take long. Then a report on the findings from investigation of the remains of the soldiers and the plane will put the find imprint on this incident.
If the Israelis balk at satisfying the Russian military, it will alter for years the Putin-Israel relationship and then, it will also reshape the Kremlin relationship with the Liberals.
Further arrogance from Israel will feed a real Kremlin split from the Russian Liberals and Likud government. There is nothing Putin can do. It’s all on the side of the transgressors.
If Israel were smart they would start feeding accurate Intel on all the al Nusra swine they have helped, and assist in the liquidation of as much ISIS, AQ and al Nusra as possible.
The weeks ahead we will be looking for signs of which way things go. This is a watershed event.
Excellent points!
As would be expected, the IDF is denying all responsibility.
https://www.rt.com/news/439163-israel-idf-russia-plane/
I would say that is very likely the wrong way to go with the Russian MOD.(duh) Arrogance, arrogance from IDF. They find it impossible to act otherwise.
Judging from the tone of the MOD report and watching the MOD briefer, I would say that Shoigu is no mood to put up with any bull sh– from the IDF. What this means on the ground is yet to be seen.
Gotta stand back and render a serious salute to Defense Minister Shoigu!
Quite astonishing the Israelis are sticking to their version of “our planes were back in Israeli airspace when the Ilyushin was hit”! How do they think they’re going to get away with this?
From my (limited) understanding of this video, Russians are claiming that not only did Israel give only about a minute’s warning prior to the attack, but they also provided incorrect data about where the attacks (there was more than one) were to take place, and did not mention the 4 IDF planes on their way to Latakia which caused the shooting down of the Ilyushin.
No wonder the MOD people are not mincing their words..”criminal negligence” pretty strong language…a far cry from Putin”s “tragic mistake” but I guess he’s playing good cop to Shoigu’s bad, furious cop..
Prayers for the fallen ones, for their families, their mothers and fathers who can never be consoled.
Have you noticed the expresely made statements about Iran?
I think this was made to definitely debunk the line of defense of the Israelis, and others, on blaming Iran for this “incident”….
From a Russian news aggregator: (https://cont.ws/@MaXFaktor/1072724)
In the last 48 hours it becomes a visible Reaction of Russia and Israel:
Russian planes are reported to intercept Israeli planes over Lebanon. Two Russian su-34 challenged two fighters Israeli air force (IAF) F-16 in Tripoli, in the skies of Lebanon, and forced them to return to Israel, despite the mechanism for conflict prevention between Moscow and Jerusalem. https://vseneobichnoe.livejour…
Cargo planes of the Russian air force arriving almost nonstop at the airbase in Latakia. https://vseneobichnoe.livejour…
How this will end is not clear yet, but we already know that Israel has increased the level of high alert to DEFCON 3 (us equivalent).
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?…
DEFCON 3 — increased level of combat readiness. All military units are replaced by their radio call sign according to secret documents. The level of combat readiness DEFCON 3 was declared three times in the Yom Kippur war, inter-Korean crisis in the 1970s and after September 11, 2001. DEFCON 2 — this level is preceded by a full alert. Known only one case of the Declaration of this level during the Cuban missile crisis (only for the Strategic air command — the armed forces as a whole remained at DEFCON 3). DEFCON 1 — maximum readiness.

I can’t get there using TOR either.
I would love to know if the Russian pilots in Su-34s can take the highly trained and experienced IAF pilots in the F-16s.
I hope Putin does not waffle here.
Murdering other people is how Israel establishes dominance. Israel attacked USS Liberty unchallenged. Israel has murdered UN military personnel, on several occasions, without punishment (eg; Lebanon 2006). Now Israel caused the deaths of Russian service men and the Russian military knows they did it on purpose.
If Putin just lets this slide he will make a major mistake. This is not a the dogs bark at the caravan scenario, this is a rabid dog attack on the caravan. Put down the dog. If you don’t want to kill it, spey it and muzzle it.
The USS Liberty is an interesting analogy — although the Israelis did not directly shoot down the aircraft, they bear direct responsibility for setting it up for destruction. So in both incidents the Israels are culpable. Yet look at the reactions of the victims involved. The US ruling class covered up Israel’s crime for their Zionist masters; meanwhile Russia directly challenges the Zionists. This is proof that Russia is independent of the AZE, notwithstanding 5th Columnists, Atlanticists and other such deplorables.

When has President Putin ‘waffled’?
Auslander
Putin is brilliant. His strategy of keeping things as dynamic as possible and take into account the interests of all sides has paid dividends, but it also has it’s weaknesses. Just allowing Israel to bomb “Iran”/Syria under the noses of the Russian military is suspect and it ended up costing Russia dearly. Maybe he couldn’t stop it earlier, for practical and diplomatic reasons, but now the situation is different.
I hope there is a new sheriff in town now.

The problem is like ‘High Noon’. The people are not standing with the Sheriff (“Marshall Kane”/ Gary Cooper). Russia stands alone.
China and others should be forthright now. And stand alongside Russia. They will rue the day if somehow Russia is weakened. The US will take apart the Chinese Dream.
In Idlib, the prize for Turkey is the 6000 Uyghurs. Those are like his Turkmen. But they are for export to Xinjiang and along the corridors China is financing. With the tens of thousands of AQ and ISIS that are in Idlib, that is a proxy mass that can totally disrupt OBOR projects and infrastructure.
Right now is when it counts for others to stand up and speak up. Global silence.
Thus, Russia knows and Putin understands that Mother must craft strategy and tactics for short term and long term survival.
Keep your eyes on Shoigu, Gerasimov and the Russian military, as well as Lavrov’s moves. While everyone watches and waits on Putin, Russia is repositioning for the war it is in. Syria is but a part of that war.
China has been very forthright in the way they are attacking the Ponzi scheme of US treasuries…
“In Idlib, the prize for Turkey is the 6000 Uyghurs. Those are like his Turkmen. But they are for export to Xinjiang and along the corridors China is financing. With the tens of thousands of AQ and ISIS that are in Idlib, that is a proxy mass that can totally disrupt OBOR projects and infrastructure.”
I don’t follow what you are saying here.
For export means that Turkey will send them to the Chinese border to cause disruption? Or to combat disruption by other Uyghurs? And other what circumstances?
Is the Battle for Idlib going to take place or not? Is the goal to round up these AQs and Us and put them in a prison somewhere?

Beautifull video, if you can read russian. No time to translate, it is the way MOD and Shoygu said, not Putin: blame assigned solely to Izrael. By the way, practical no-fly zone has been in place since the IL 20 tragedy, for sure til 26 Sep, after that – who knows/
There are a lot of errors in the English voice over and subtitles in this version. The South Front version is only english subtitles but they make sense and there is more animation shown. It is important that the time delay of 50 minutes (not 15 minutes as above) was what it took Israel to get back to the Russians before they could launch their search and rescue mission.
https://southfront.org/russian-military-revealed-additional-details-of-il-20-shootdown-off-syrian-coast-video/
We were at a facility for a memorial service for the lost soldiers, and about all I can say of the mood there is ‘ice cold anger’. No one will do anything without specific orders, but in my opinion, if the order comes to teach someone a lesson, that lesson will be delivered with alacrity.
The first fact is the Israeli MoD and other minions flying to Moskau with such speed speaks volumes, in other words, they know they’ve intercoursed up big time. Second fact is Shoigu did not give them the time of day whilst the Israelis cooled their heels in Moskau. That alone speaks better than words of what is coming. Third fact is the emotionless and careful laying out of evidence of the event and evidence of betrayal, and that’s what Israel did, betrayed Russia, and this again speaks clearly of what is coming.
Russia is run by a troika. Lavrov has MoS, Shoigu has MoD, and all three speak and come to agreements about State, Defense and Country. VVP is the first among equals, so to speak, it is he who has brought together this team and it is he who makes the final decisions. In this case, I have no doubts that General Shoigu has virtual carte blanche to do whatever he deems necessary.
The next few days and weeks will be of interest, and that’s an understatement of vast proportions. You can do many things to Russians, and while they will never forget, they may grudgingly forgive. However, betrayal goes to the very root of Russian Culture, and this act will never be forgiven nor forgotten, both in the near time and far time. No one gets a second chance to betray Russia.

This was an attack on Russia’s integrity and soul. I don’t think Israel are aware of the full scope of what they did. Israel, and the leadership it has produced, is criminally insane and psychotic. They are doing exactly what they have been doing for decades. This back stab is nothing new or unusual, it is standard Israeli operational procedure. Including the BS they tried to sell to the Russian MoD. This is simply and exactly how Israel always behaves.
What they did not take into account is that Russia is not America. The Russian military is no longer Stalin’s or the USSR’s military, nor are they American military prostitutes selling their honor and principles to pay for the mortage. Israel has broken the US military but I believe they will fail with Russia. The Russian military revival has found it’s way back to it’s roots of Alexander Nevsky and Generals Suvurov and Kutuzov.
If integrity means anything Russia will not put up with Israel’s BS anymore.
Auslander, very moving account of a tectonic shift in national emotion: “ice-cold anger” at treachery.
I have reposted it on Off-Guardian thread, ‘Israel’s Failed Attempt to Start WW3″.
Dr. NG Maroudas,
I will not say anything about this memorial beyond ‘Ice cold anger’. It was palpable.
I thank you for thinking well enough of my post to put in Off-Guardian.

Others have expressed my thoughts here as well but “ice cold anger” says it for me!
The IDF/Likudniks have betrayed Russia’s soul, trust, and pride. It does not get any more serious than that for the Russians.
The Russian military will stand strong, supported by Mother Russia.
“No one gets a second chance to betray Russia”
My reading of history has the Jews betraying Russia continuously for the past hundred years.
As is their duty.
Sometimes honesty is the best policy but the Israeli administration’s culture of governing seems addicted to deception; from misdirection to out-right lies, they cannot be honest about their actions or policies. Hence the latest lies despite the fact that the Russian’s have the data!
The Israelis, bolstered by unconditional US support, have been literally getting away with murder and so much more for so long, that they just do not know what it means to humble themselves.
Their arrogance and sense of entitlement is second to none!
Having pulled off the attack on the USS Liberty and many others similiar to it over the years, and gotten used to US and other compromised Western politicians rushing to their defence and going to great lengths to dispose of the truth and absolve Israel of its many crimes, Israel expected the same compliance from Russia.
And for a brief moment, it almost seemed that they were gonna get away with it – this was when Putin tried to downplay the serious tone coming out of the Russian MOD, by saying the whole thing was a tragedy borne out of a combination of unfortunate events…
Fortunately, it seems like Shoigu and the MOD prevailed upon Putin to not let this crime slide.
They came to the conclusion that if they allow Israel to walk away from this without any penalties, the implications for Russia would be dire, in terms of troops morale, international reputation, and its standing among states that consider it a worthwile ally, and look to it for leadership.
Let them scream and holler all they want, in the end, Russia will do what it has to do, and that is all that counts.
Selah
As it relates to the release of this report into the downing of the Russian plane and the killing of its 15 member crew, the Russian MOD has done a admirable job.
Why do I say that?
Apart from the fact that the report did not pull any punches, and in clear terms say out loud that Israel bears full and sole responsibility for the despicable incident – just the act of releasing the report is something significant.
I say so because, had Israel done the same exact thing to the US or any other Western country, we would never see the release of a report of this kind that says Israel is to blame.
Zionist control over Western capitals is now so through and overwhelming, no administration would allow its military to publisize something so critical of Israel.
It just would not happen.
If you think I’m joking, just stop and think about it for a moment.
The US, would never do it, and neither would the UK, France, Germany, Canada etc, etc.
Russia still has a level of independence that allows it to release a report of this nature without it being vetoed by the zionist lobby in its midst – its not for lack of trying on behalf of international jewry, mind you, but so far they do not have that much influence over Russia, that they undoubtedly exercise elsewhere.
Lets pray and hope it stays that way.

I must say I was disappointed in the level of detail presented by Major General Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian MOD (Military of Defense). This was a press briefing of which the second half of the video explained how the Russian Federation has helped to diffuse the situation in the Golan Heights, aided Israel in locating the remains of IDF personnel in Syria and overall, been extremely cooperative with Israel in allowing them to continue to bomb Syria at will while Russia is engaged with the SAA to eradicate U.S. proxy terrorists collectively known as “ISIS.” It was a narrative that laid out everything Russia has done on behalf of Israel yet Israel stabbed Mother Russia in the back (again).
The first half of the video lasted 7 minutes and 29 seconds and gave the press a quasi-detailed explanation of how the tragic event happened. I took a close examination of the first half of the video and separated it into four parts: Video Time, IL-20 Mission Time, IDF F-16 Mission Time, Syrian AA Battery Response Time.
0:01 seconds.
MOD starts the briefing.
0:41 seconds:
The IL-20 began its reconnaissance mission on September 17 at 20:31.
0:49 seconds:
Four IDF F-16 fighter jets take off from Israel on their mission at approximately the same time as IL-20 mission start.
1:21:
IDF Command contacts Russian Command at 21:39 to alert Russia about the attack. The attack was to occur in Northern Syria.
1:43:
At 21:40, IDF F-16 jets attack targets in Latakia province and drop GBU-39 bombs.
1:58:
Israel failed to give Russia sufficient warning in violation of the engagement terms.
2:51:
Russian MOD emphasized that Israel deceived Russia about the attack being in Northern Syria instead of where it occurred in western Latakia province.
3:13:
The de-confliction channel conversation was in the Russian language and recorded.
3:19:
IL-20 pilot receives an order from Russian Command to terminate his mission and fly south back to the base of departure.
4:01:
Israel did not provide to Russia the location of the IDF F-16’s, meaning no navigational coordinates, altitude, speed, etc.
4:07:
At 21:51, Syrian AA battery launched SAM(s) at IDF F-16’s.
4:19:
IDF F-16’s fly out approximately 70km west of Syrian coast and turn on their ECM.
4:35:
At 21:59, one of the four IDF F-16’s flew towards the IL-20 which was on final approach to land at the airbase.
4:49:
Syrian AA battery believed Israel was making another attack run and launched SAM(s).
4:58:
IDF pilot knew IL-20 RCS (RADAR Cross Section) size was larger than his plane.
5:12:
IDF pilot also knew the Syrian IFF and Russian IFF are different.
5:54;
At 22:03, Syrian AA battery launched SAM at IL-20 and hit it.
6:01:
The IL-20 pilot reported his airplane was on fire and began emergency maneuvers.
6:06:
At 22:07, Russian Command lost RADAR contact with IL-20.
6:17:
The four IDF-16’s remained in Syrian airspace until 22:40.
6:32:
At 22:29 Russian Command contacted Israeli Command and demanded the IDF F-16’s depart the immediate area due to the IL-20 being down
6:58:
At 22:40, IDF-F16 jets left the area.
7:05:
At 22:53, Israeli Command contacted Russian Command about complying with the request to leave Syrian airspace so recovery of the Russian aircrew could begin.
In summarization:
Total Video Time describing the event: 7 minutes and 29 seconds
Total IL-20 Mission Time: 1 hour, 32 minutes (20:31 – 22:03)
Total IDF F-16 Mission Time: 2 hours, 9 minutes (20:31 – 22:40)
Total Syrian AA Battery Response Time: 12 minutes (21:51 – 22:03)
Questions that remain:
1. We have not heard an official response from Syrian Air Defense Command in response to the Russian briefing. Do they admit they did it or not?
2. No mention of the missiles launched from the French “Bidet Class” frigate, Auvergne. What did they hit?
3. No progress report on the recovery of the IL-20 airframe, engines and FDR (Flight Data Recorder and/or CVR (Cockpit Voice Recorder).
4. No questions from the press (if any) were shown in the video.
5. Why did Israel take over 2 hours to drop a few bombs?
6. The IL-20 pilot reported he was hit. That tells me a missile did not hit the cockpit directly but somewhere aft of the plane’s fuselage.
7. Could the missile have been fired from behind the reconnaissance aircraft? In World Wars I, II, Korea and Vietnam, air-to-air combat fighter kills were recorded by stenciling a graphic on the side of the fighter as a matter of pride. In order to confirm the enemy plane went down, the victorious pilot would loiter over the area to see it for himself. Is that why the four IDF F-16’s stayed for over one-half hour to see the IL-20 burn in flames and crash into the Mediterranean Sea? I wouldn’t put it past them!
Is it my imagination, or was their just a little bit of a certain tone in the mention of various UN resolutions?
Like, a gentle reminder, for anyone paying attention, that UN resolutions *do* carry weight in certain quarters?
Is it my imagination, or did I really hear a hint of a “Make my day” undertone in the accounting of all that Russia has done for Israel, which has now shown itself to be an ingrate? Finally, the asymmetry in the observance of the deconfliction agreement is going to be remedied. No talk of “mistakes” now!
I think it is clear that Konoshenkov (sp?) was deeply upset at the loss of 15 men, the gratuitous attack on them and on Russia, and genuinely incomprehending of Israel’s actions.
One can convey anger and sorry without acting them out.
Israel has played the brat quite long enough. I hope they are sitting in Tel Aviv saying, “S—! We effed it with the Russians.”

I’ve checked the mainstream media coverage (newspaper websites), and I’ve found almost nothing on this story this evening. Neither guardian, independent, new york times, french le monde and le figaro say anything about it … I finally checked the washington post and found one article … that’s weird !
Here is a Radio Free Europe report:
https://www.rferl.org/a/moscow-israel-misled-russian-military-in-syria-plane-downing/29505024.html
Katherine
That’s not weird, that’s typical. Bread and circus is on the menu here by order of the deep state. We will be shown football, be endlessly exposed to discussions of whether the players should take a knee, what Hollywood actor has discovered they got their gender wrong, etc. That is the pablum we will get. The deep state has a way of discouraging actual important news.
You might say Israel decides what will be on the news in the US.
Slightly OT, but Konashenkov did mention the Federation of Jewish Communities or Russia.
If there is a Zionist Fifth Column in Russia, would this maybe be its spearhead?
Wikipedia lists the following:
Administration of FJCR[1]
Chairman of FJCR Council of Rabbis — Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar;
Chairman of FJCR Executive Board — Alexander Boroda;
Chairman of FJCR Board of Trustees — Roman Abramovich;
Chairman of FJCR Public Council — Joseph Kobzon;
Head of Council of FJCR Communities Chairmans — Mark Grubarg;
Chairman of the Council of Leaders of FJCR Youth Departments.
Obviously, the name Roman Abramovitch stands out. But the others also sort of stand out.
Wiki also has quite a lot of info on Russians living in Israel and Israelis living in Russia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel%E2%80%93Russia_relations
“Israeli community of Moscow
Moscow has the largest Israeli expatriate community in the world, with 80,000 Israeli citizens living in the city as of 2014, almost all of them native Russian-speakers.[41][42] Many Israeli cultural events are hosted for the community, and many live part of the year in Israel. To cater to the Israeli community, Israeli cultural centres are located in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg.[43] There are 60 flights a week between Tel Aviv and Moscow.[41”
It is not clear to me how an *expatriate* Israeli community can be native Russian speakers. Unless they were born in Russia, emigrated to Israel, and now have emigrated back to Russia.

Fifth Column in Russia.
Considering that the Jewish Mafia owns & controls every aspect of Western societies on both sides of the Atlantic monopolistically (without hardly anybody being aware of it) – politics, law, economy, finance, education, the sciences, health care, psychiatry, the arts, media, entertainment – and the fact that the Mafia was not only running the Bolshevik color-Revolution, but later in the 20th century had a good grip on useful idiot Gorbachev and owned the Yeltsin government wholesome, it becomes obvious that the Mafia’s Russian branch has far more influence on Russia than your average russsophile and Putin lover could ever imagine.
My guesstimate of the Mafia’s share of power in Russia: 49% – 67%
: )
