I concur. I knew that Russia would eventually recognize Luhansk and Donetsk, although I am slightly surprised this happened now, expecting this to happen at a later date. Then again, Putin no doubt knows what he is doing. Congratulations to both republics.
They showed the true meaning of the word “heroism”, fighting to defend their homes and families and winning, despite all the odds being against them. Meanwhile the “heroes” that the so-called “Ukrainian nationalists” speak so often about are famous only for murdering defenceless civilians, whether it was during WW2 or the present day. The Galician SS DIvision only fought one battle against the Red Army in WW2, which they lost, and after that they deserted and ran away. Reminds me of their behaviour in 2014 – they’re very brave when massacring people who have no way of fighting back, but as soon as they come up against any resistance, they show their true face and run away like a bunch of cowards.
Even the German leader of the SS in Ukraine wrote back to his superiors that they should stop supporting these groups, because they were so barbaric in carrying out punitive operations that it was counter-productive and led to more people joining the partisans to fight against them. They showed what true “heroes” they were when they ran away after their first battle against the Red Army. Apparently some things never change!
But it is the West, who have scrapped diplomacy by giving Ukraine carte blanche to throw away Minsk agreement and attack Donbas. But I belive there is a still place for diplomacy, but with more sane politicians from Germany and France, but not with USA and UK.
It is the West that has scrapped diplomacy by being untrustworthy liars.
What is the point of diplomacy with people who will not keep their word? There is none. Why bother? I’d rather sit by a pool and soak up a few rays and listen to some good music than waste my time talking with a liar and reaching an agreement with someone who can not be trusted to keep it.
America’s exceptional arrogance has let it to believe that it no longer needs what has always been the gold standard in diplomacy ….. Trust. And now it has left home without it.
Sane politicians in Germany? Good luck. There has never been a time when German politicians were as incompetent as now (incl. the 3rd Reich). Merkel was extremely bad. And I want to see her prosecuted. But what we have now, is beyond comprehension.
The Cold War will not come back. The Cold War was between two mostly equally matched sides, Rulers and Ruled. Today’s Cold War is between Desperation and Destiny.
it’s interesting but doesn’t the U.S. support independence of “separatists” in many regions particularly
1. independence of Taiwan as breakaway region
2. independence of Hong Kong and its ‘freedom fighters’
3. independence of Kosovo
4. independence of Kurdistan
5. independence of Chechnya and other ‘separatist movements’ in/around Russia (though strangely they don’t support the independence of North/South Ossetia, hmmm)
6. independence Xinjiang the Uighyur territory of China
How does the U.S. reconcile these strangely disparate notions of supporting independence movements worldwide but not the freedom fighters of breakaway region Donbass?
Nightvision: “How does the U.S. reconcile these strangely disparate notions of supporting independence movements worldwide but not the freedom fighters of breakaway region Donbass?”
Why, the same way they announce the flight of their diplomatic and other personnel from Kiev [10 Feb] while noisily denouncing [18 Feb] the “cynical” evacuation of civilians from the donbass?
Disgusting and shameless hypocrisy is your name, Uncle Sam.
Uncle Sam left the building decades ago. The place is now the house of Uncle Scam. It’s the people’s fault, for letting shysters take over the US, sell the people out, and start plundering and pillaging all over the world.
If you mean it’s our fault for not starting a violent revolution and forcibly overthrowing the US government, then I suppose you’re right. But I don’t think anything short of that will allow the average citizen to have a meaningful effect on US government policy.
American ‘adventuters’ and state agents have been plundering beyond the USA’s borders for centuries, but the process went into overdrive perhaps 70 or 80 years ago, when a new and more shameless breed of shyster surfaced in North America.
Let’s face it the BBC should be an authority on the violation of International Law, they’ve certainly cheered on a sufficiency of US/UK war criminals.
Sadly they only see crimes in the actions of non-Western Actors.
The UK and US never abide by international law so it is a meaningless pronouncement from a meaningless country – the UK – with a meaningless military. They will not enter into any conflict with Russia as they will sugffer a national humiliation. Russia will reserve that for the US
Frankly I can’t tolerate the stench of BBC so I didn’t listen to or watch it – I gave up months if not years ago. The very notion that Putin was supposedly violating the Minsk agreements, as articulated by the BBC, was priceless double-talk- PRICELESS. The publics in the west are now in thrall to virulent a psychotic condition, particularly the political and corporate classes. It’s interesting the way that these people hang on to every word spoken by their leaders as if it were truth. The mental atmosphere in the west, particularly its media class is not so very far removed from clinical schizophrenia. We now have a polity which doesn’t know how to think and cannot work out what is true and what is not true. The decline is palpable and irreversible.
Russia gives birth to baby twins named DPR and LPR, who are now both part of the multi-polar world.
How wonderful, how magnificent, how divinely inspired!
Satan has received a well deserved slap in the face but we know he will retaliate and so we are armed with prayers and resolute conviction to fight him kilometer by kilometer until we kick his ass back down to where he belongs.
I feel joy, even if for a brief moment in this time. Glory to God, and may Mother Russia prevail!
Pashinyan (current chairman of CSTO) is on his way to Moscow: https://lenta.ru/news/2022/02/21/welcometorussia/
Maybe the peace-enforcing mission could be carried out by CSTO as a whole, not just by Russia.
The future must be great for those who have suffered under the brutal force of the empire – except for the actual citizens of empire who are going to have to endure its accelerating collapse.
A price I am ready and willing to pay for the greater good.
Under Article 19, Chapter VI Membership of the CSTO Charter:
“Any state sharing the goals and principles of the Organization and being ready to undertake the obligations containing in this Charter and other international treaties and resolutions effective within the framework of the Organization may become a member of the Organization.”
So I would imagine the DPR and/or LPR would apply after they form a cohesive government including all the trappings of a political system (e.g., formal constitution, elections, etc.) as well as a foreign ministry.
Yes, we are safe but the main thing is by spring all our friends and comrades should be home to Sevastopol and their families, safe and sound. As they return I will tell them of your and many other’s prayers. Prayers worked!
I hope the industrialists and German People speak up for their interests and sign the docs for the pipeline opening tomorrow
and end NATO membership / tell the uSA to remove their troops on German soil by December 31, 2022 and enter into negotiations with China for ….new business
If there was anything that irked Putin, then it was perhaps that Scholz called speaking of a genocide in the Donbass laughable.
If the invasion narrative takes hold now, then the lowly creatures in Germany’s government and Germany’s ruling circles will not be able to swim against the stream of western mob mentality. The sanctions will include cancelling NS2 and the Germans will pay the heaviest price.
If there is a major war now, then all gas deliveries from Russia may be cancelled. Wishing the Germans a little bit of good luck would seem appropriate then.
It’s still more likely that there won’t be a war of NATO against Russia in the short term, which is probably what Scholz is banking on to get the NS2 gas.
I appreciate your analysis but the Germans must understand they are pawns and commercial cannon fodder – so the downside at this stage is not going with Russia – The uSA has the control of SWIFT and the Dollar but that alone in the face of Germany leaving and becoming a sovereign nation – again – will be difficult for the uSA to impose retribution.
NATO has no value for Germany neither does the US troops on its soil
so it is all negative energy via Washington reaction – Germans will get a lot of sympathy in the US citizens and around the world
The Germans as a body politic and many individual Germans understand that but they are also masochistic and spineless. They believe it helps them with their guilt and lets everybody see them in a more positive light. They will put a positive spin on the cancellation of NS2, talking a lot about how renewables and liquified gas are going to save them. At the moment, the weather is warmer than usual, so that may bring them through the winter unless it turns cold. Over the summer a lot of things may happen that distract, for it to begin to bite them during the next winter. There will be shortages and sky high prices. Already today, tens of thousands of German households each year get their energy cut off because they cannot pay the bills. Who knows, it may become hundreds of thousands, even millions.
That was Putin taking off the gloves. Excellent speech; faultless; delivered with force. A very important history lesson, setting out clearly why we are where we are and what needs to be done. To my mind, that fell just short of a declaration of war.
I assume Donbass now will come under the CTSO. Awaiting now China’s reaction.
The Minsk accords are now history. Kiev openly stated it would not respect them. Putin then recognizes the two republics. I think Zelensky must be in a state of shock, thinking he could play with Putin with NATO’s and Washington’s backing.
Having worked at a very low level in Diplomatic circles in the past I recognise the language and the warnings.
1) He has told Kiev (and thier British and American backers) to stand down.
2) He has not defined the borders of the “new” Republics, so by default they are likely to be considered as being the full lands claimed at the time of initial seperation in 2014 – which means that Kievs army (and British and American mercenaries) are defacto “occupying with military force” an independent state.
3) He has publically stated that the documents to formalise recognition “will soon be signed” – which means that the Ukrainian “occupying army” has until then to withdraw peacefully or risk being forced to withdraw.
4) Ukrainian government officials have publically announced that they intend to seek a nuclear deterant – and Putin has stated that Ukraine have the ability to do this (and deliver a device) with only a little western assistance. The warning is clear – Ukraine may loose access to thier nuclear sites and power stations in the coming weeks and months if this matter is not put to bed by Kiev (they could be seized quickly by special operations teams backed by Paratroopers – all proteced by ground attack and fighter aircraft).
5) Should Ukraine (and the British and Americans) contest the declaration of independence and the new status of a Russian protectorate by use of force, then all military assets – not just front line of contact assets, but logistical and communications, C&C etc – will become legitamate targets by thier own hand (ie “on your head / conscience will you face the consequences”).
6) Due to security concerns it is likely that a DMZ or at least a no fly zone will be imposed (and enforced) east of the Dniper river (which would also cover that big nuclear power station in the south east.
7) The port of Odessa will at the very least be closed to NATO warships and also foreign military personnel (or as Putin said “trainers and advisors” from NATO members). More likely is that Ukraines entire access to the Black Sea will be suspended pending full NATO withdrawl from the Black Sea.
8) The west have shown themselves to liers and cheats with no honor – therefore no further negotiations will entered into and Russia will take any and all actions to protects her security and borders. This is a clear warning that if a big fight is sought then a big fight will be given.
9) Russia will seek the arrest and prosecution / hand over of all War Criminals, the details of whom have / will be provided.
10) No further provocations, talk of agression, or persecution of anyone or anything Russian will be tolerated at least in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
11) In a nutshell, Ukraine and the West have until Putin “signs the papers” to stand down and withdraw or be made to withdraw, but between now and then if Ukraine acts against Donbass or Russia then Russia reserves the right of self-defence and the right to protect the peoples of Donbass (note that the signing of the papers can be done as quickly or as slowly as Putin chooses, but its likely that Ukraine has around 72 hours to completely withdraw peacefully if they choose to do so).
On a side note, the British and Americans will not tolerate this and will seek to send warships into Odessa / outside the city (thereby preventing closeure by Russia and keeping air and missile threat open) and air-drops of arms and munitions to Ukraine and thier mecenaries, whilst blocking any withdrawl of Ukrainian forces from the line-of-contact in an attempt to fix the Donbass borders at their present location.
Putin’s speech informed the world how the Ukraine came around to he. The territory of the Ukraine is like Frankenstein – bits and pieces carved out from everywhere. LDNR will be all the way to Transnistria and maybe all the way to the Danube border of Serbia and by extension to the Una river because Serb lands are Russian lands too.
We are truly living history. Thank you God. This is the time of challenges and sacrifice but glorious time nonetheless.
Putin also said that Russia will ensure its security against the increasing threats coming from nato. It sounded like Russia will act unilaterally. So I think the negociations on this issue are also terminated.
It’s been long overdue. Putin being a shrewd man only wanting justification, otherwise we could have blamed him for the delay which would have prevented many deaths.
A) the ‘West’ will now claim that the “Invasion of Ukraine” has just occurred, using the same bizarre logic by which they’ve already claimed that Russia “invaded” Crimea. Since they predicted every day in Feb at one point or another, they will even claim they predicted this very day.
B) The big picture is that the USA wants a war. They see their superpower moment is coming to an end, with the rise of China, now accelerated by a Chinese superiority in Public Health. Many other empires have chosen massive wars in this situation. If the existing empire chooses war, then it will decide that sooner is better than later. Why wait and let the rising empire grow in strength?
From my seat in the peanut gallery, it appears that the Yankees have once again chosen the path of war. Legalities won’t matter. They not only want a war, but they appear to feel like they are late and in a big hurry to get their war now. They see it as a war for their own survival, since they are psychopaths who have an insane plan to hold on to power by burning down the whole world. They are the sort of children who hate the idea of sharing their toys so much that they’ll light fire to the entire house.
The USA wants money. They could not afford war. Whole charade is about siphoning EU for money. US Involvement is financialy minimal, far far far from what war cost. Compare preparations for Gulf war with this mostly PR extravaganza.
Hear hear! God bless the people of the independent republic of LDNR, Donetsk and Lugansk. The martyrdom of the brave freedom fighter Alexander Zakharchenko and his other brothers assassinated by zio-nazis is not in vein. In heaven, they are triumphant.
Now that LDNR are recognised by Moscow as independent countries:
*Will the two merge into Novorossia?
*Who else will immediately recognise these new countries? (Right now I am guessing Belorus, South Ossetia, Abkazia [sp?], and possibly Kazakhstan will soon provide official recognition.)
*What else would need to happen before CSTO could deploy a peacekeeping/military force? Or better yet, could CSTO use “Responsibility to Protect” as the excuse to send in forces, just like NATO used it to justify wars in Yugoslavia, Libya, etc.?
I doubt that, because Beijing has separatist movements on its territory that use legalisms to support their cause. Beijing cannot recognise Novorossia until Kiev recognises them first, or it disintegrates as a sovereign country.
I think the popularity of the decision in the Zone B speaks by it self.
Empire lost its moral stature, if ever had one, and have no word to tell about international law. Same applies for its euro-poodles.
It is now all about the sanctions that will kill Europe, and pull it back into medieval age.
So who will recognize in the next hours : CSTO countries, Iran, China (?), Venezuela, …?
Russia regains lost respect in the world at large. That she had to bide her time made us all feel angry but now we should rejoice because the forces of evil shall be defeated.
He gave the Ukies and NATO every opportunity to be sensible and fair. All he asked was that they honour the Minsk agreements. Greed and avarice eventually robs people of common sense.
Putin seemed angry while laying everything on the table. At one point he spoke about Ukraine torturing children.
He set the bar very high for himself by talking at length and in detail about the threat posed by Ukraine’s NATO membership, NATO strike weapons and the rest.
Recognizing the republics can only be a first step toward rolling back NATO.
By far the most pertinent and interesting thing left for us to see is China’s reaction to this news. Technically speaking, this would go at odds with China’s stance on Tibet, Taiwan, Xinjiang, and the memorandum Russia/China just recently signed at the beginning of February for the respect of sovereignty of nations. So really this goes against Chinese interest and policies BUT if China happens to support this move, this will be a big and major sign of China’s unflagging support.
So far, Assad / Syria has reportedly issued statement that they will be the first to support LNR/DNR independence along with Russia.
No that is not the most important. It is the 2nd most important but Nord Stream 2 is no longer viewed as critical as it used to be by the Russian gov’t. They couldn’t care less if it’s canceled as they don’t need it as much as Europe does. Russia/China’s future is far more significant for the prosperity and development of Russia than NS2 alone.
The reason I said is because if NordStream 2 were actually operational – I believe expected to be in Summer – we can pretty much view that as the end of NATO, and of the American/British importance in Europe.
The financial loss (if there were any) is secondary to the paramount future significance of it.
I hope one day this pipeline will be active, and we Americans can focus on ourselves rather than all of this nonsense thousands of miles away, with potentially nuclear outcomes.
Exactly. Plus there are agreements in place that Nord Stream 2 development costs will be legally recouped if the West were to cancel them just like France was forced to recoup Russia’s costs for the Mistral ships that it suddenly changed their mind on due to “Russian aggression”, so Russia loses nothing with cancellation of NS2, only Europe suffers because of it. NS2 is nothing more than a strategic bargaining chip on Putin’s chessboard which has already paid lots of dividends.
question is …will EU countries decide to follow der Leyen and fellow idiot Borrel? Who will realise they can keep their feet stuck in the wet slow drying concrete of EU or going to extract themselves before it sets and step out free onto firm legal solid ground of their own where there might be a helping hand called reality?
China’s position has the unity of China at its heart. Russia can argue likewise that its the unity of the Russian realm that is at stake since Russians are suppressed in the Ukraine. Putin spoke about that too.
That’s a good point, which means at best we can expect the same thing from China which is just diplomatic language of abstention. i.e. “We call for dialogue, blah blah” and not really interfering in Russia’s decision but neither vocally supporting or condemning it
Beijing will not recognise Novorossia until the current Kiev regime either recognises first, or disintegrates, precisely because there are separatist elements within China causing trouble.
This does not, however prevent Beijing from:
*Quietly encouraging its companies (e.g. extra tax breaks) to invest in Novorossia
*Giving large lump sum payments to Moscow, which Moscow can then divert from its normal budget for use in Novorossia
*Convening a UN Security Council meeting to deploy peacekeepers in Novorossia, on terms favourable towards Novorossia while quoting “Responsibility to Protect”
*Piling onto Uncle Scam to “do something” about Ukrainian aggression
*Announcing it will help enforce Interpol arrest warrants against Ukrainian war criminals
*Act out more aggressively against NATO forces near China
*Provide modern weapons and funding to Iran, North Korea, and Syria
Now we wait for US/NATO response. Macron always so keen on stepping up prior to election campaign dragged start.
Friendship statement doesn’t directly implies military 8nvolvment though and there’s still room for cool down. Let’s not board as Americans do the hype train ruling for all out war
It is fantastic and we have so few victories, but this is one for the ages. I wish Andrei Vltchek were alive to enjoy this and write about it in his own glorious inimitable style.
This is a victory for the ages. Russia’s decisive turn away from the West is stupendous and exhilarating. I am still numb. My entire life running like a hamster on his wheel to escape the shadow of Empire, and now a livable new world is being born in front of our eyes. May it hold firm. And congratulations to long-suffering Donbass and our Brother Auslander.
I used to read Vltchek even longer than Pepe Escobar.. Here’s a fitting eulogy for a soulful globetrotting watcher who is missed.
> article title, “André Vltchek – A Year since You are Gone” by Peter Koenig on neo journal.
Washington and Brussels in full panic mode, right now, running around like headless chickens, trying to figure out what just happened and how to respond in any meaningful way.
Does it mean that tonight Europe felt in a big disaster ?
I mean after that, Anglos will rub their hands, exit NS2 I presume, stop dealing gas through Ukrain and a kind of new iron curtain came from west. And I think that Russia will not stop till its whole security requirements are ok.
For Europe that mean more US weapons, more US submission, more US control, less economic strengh, energy prices out of control and therefore inflation.
All that due to cowardise, felony and stupidity of european “elite”.
What a mess.
And it seems it’s only the beginning. We woke the Bear and he is angry.
It was sad to see Putin so tragic. No agressiveness, no martial look, just a man sad, like crushed, packed in his chair, twisted body, puffy face by tiredness ans worry like a man who don’t sleep and stand by medics.
What we see was not Mars on the path of war but Atlas who carry a big big responsability.
Terrible .
Terribles times to come.
No because most of Europe secretly under the curtain agrees with Russia. You can gauge this sentiment for instance when you see the tweets of German Chancellor Sholz, in the comments section under his tweet regarding recent events, I translated all the German citizens’ responses and literally every single tweet/response was in support of Russia, urging Scholz to work with Russia and unify Russia/Germany as partners etc etc. This sentiment goes in many countries, also in France for instance.
I’m french and I can assure that french rulers absolutly don’t care of what people think. All the people possibly voting for Macron are visceraly russophobes and sometimes rabid.
Don’t expect anything there.
In Germany, the chief of conservative party said, two weeks ago, that USA is ” the most important and main ally( thank you for French)”, and the biggest part of governemental coalition are rabid russophobes écologists.
It’s too late now. Russia gave a chance. France and Germany waste it. Now Russia turn back.
You will soon see Nord Stream 2 enter the conversation louder than ever before, threats will be made and NS2 will probably come closest it’s ever been to being canceled. But one thing you all must remember during this time, is that Russia has made today’s decision in full recognition that Nord Stream 2 no longer really matters, for a variety of reasons. Firstly, the loss is FAR greater to Europe and Germany than it is to Russia. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/russian-trade-surplus-surges-amid-rising-tensions here’s an article showing that due to the fact that oil barrel price is skyrocketing recently (and expected to go even higher, and stay there), Russia is actually making a record killing $$$$ in profits right now, and it’s foreign exchange reserves and trade surplus are skyrocketing to high levels. For those not familiar with ‘trade surplus’, this is a GOOD thing, it means that Russia is exporting even waaaay more than it is importing, which means massive $$$ profits.
Meanwhile under Biden’s disastrous ‘presidency’, the U.S. is set to become a net IMPORTER of oil for the first time https://www.zerohedge.com/energy/us-will-be-net-oil-importer-2022
The fact of the matter is, when it comes to economic trade, Russia is doing fantastic right now and is making a killing $$$$ all without Nord Stream 2. If Europe dares try to cancel NS2 now, it will be cutting its own throat while Russian economy continues to improve. This will only result in massive societal unrest in Europe that will lead to the further decline of all European countries and their standard of living, democratic value, etc etc. Russia is now in the driving seat, nothing EU/U.S. can do can possibly change that short of outright war.
Russia does not want western Europe to become another bigger Ukraine because it is bad for business to have a diminished neighbor. NS2 remains open for business until the Germans are ready. Until then, a long Wait.
Russia is fine with the wait. It only hurts Europe to wait not Russia. They can keep NS2 ‘on ice’ for a long time if need be, doesn’t bother Russia at all.
Yes, the Russians can do that, but can the Germans and their partners at the other end of NS2? If Russia moves troops into the Donbass, then the loudspeakers will be belching “invasion” day and night. That may well erode any residual resistance to cancelling NS2. Then they may go on and destroy parts of the pipeline, at least those that lie in German waters. That will make it all the harder to revive NS2 in the future.
It is more a problem for Germany. They already said, they have to pay twice for a gas from other sources than Russia. Their gas reserves are almost empty and they have shut down many nuclear and coal power plants.
How much blood of non US citizens is the USA willing to shed this time. Will there be a hopeless attempt to scorch the earth of Novorussia by Ukraine to force Russia into invading Ukraine to prove biden “right”? I wish in that case that Russia uses rockets to clean out all Ukraine positions on the border of Ukraine as a protection measure and final warning before nuking every US military base in the world out of existence.
Thanks be to God! For years I have prayed that the Lord would confound and sabotage all the plans and equipment of terrorist organizations, the US being the chief one, and today’s recognition of the two breakaway republics is answered prayer! Today is the ice breaker, and now Russia can continue the military/technical measures to force the US back to its own territory. Out of Syria! Out of Europe! Away from China! Enough is enough.
I thought the biggest block on Ukraine joining NATO was that they didn’t control their entire territory/had an ongoing conflict. Doesn’t this remove that stone from the shoe? I mean, I’m sure that has been thought through and planned for, but…
Well depends how you look at it, technically Ukraine considers “Crimea” as their territory too and they don’t “control it”. Either way Russia really doesn’t care anymore because as Putin said, the U.S. will just continue doing what it’s doing no matter what actions Russia takes. i.e. they will draw up sanctions whether Russia does what they want or not, and similarly they will continue pursuing Ukraine for NATO whether Russia annexes Novorossiya or not, so in the end it doesn’t matter so you might as well do what’s best for your interests anyway because nothing changes the direction of the bloodthirsty globalist mutants who run U.S. foreign policy.
In the name of God, the most beneficent and most merciful
“…They were planning, and Allah was planning, and Allah is the best planner.”
Congratulations to the heroic people of Donbass and Lugansk. Congratulations to the peaceful people of Russian Federation. This historic day should be celebrated by all the peace loving people of the world.
Alas the cries, blood and sorrows of innocent peoples have been answered and Donbass will be one step closer to going back to Mother Russia – where it rightfully belongs.
May Allah give long life to President Putin and strengthen his hands and patience and perseverance to Russian people for the trials and tribulations that await them in future.
The Almighty God has decided to punish the oppressors of this world through His servants – the Orthodox Christian peoples, whos leader now is the Russian Federation – people, who are the rightful followers of Prophet Jesus – peace and blessing of God be upon him and his blessed and pure Mother.
I feel like crying joyfully today – just as I joyfully cried when Crimea and heroic city of Sevastopol returned back to Mother Russia.
May Allah protect the new republics from the wickedness of the neo-Nazis and their Western allies.
Next, Yemen. We should start a campaign to stop Russia from selling weapons to the Saudi beasts. The people of Yemen need our support, like the people of the new republics needed it all this time.
Questions: the oblasts are recognized in their entirety? Then the VSU must withdrawal. Will Russian military go in as a peacekeeping force
as in the Caucasus? Will the Republics join the CSTO?
This recognition was long overdue. It was time for Russia to give hope to millions of people in Donbass of a better future, a future not dictated by the Kiev fascists.
The historic borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions are much larger than the existing Frontline. Key Ukrainian cities include the port city of Mariupol, Kramatorsk – where Ukraine’s army has its eastern HQ – and numerous villages. Where is Russia drawing new borders, does anybody know?
Putin is a complete scoundrel!!!
Doesn’t he realise only America is entitled to give away other people’s territory?
Jerusalem, West Bank, Golan Heights, Kosovo, South Sudan.
Only the Exceptional Folk are allowed to do that!!!
Ukraine’s accession to NATO is a direct threat to Russia’s security
US officials argued that active hostilities in eastern Ukraine do not interfere with the country’s entry into NATO
They try to convince us over and over again that NATO is a purely defensive alliance, they again offer to take our word for it, but we are well aware of the real price of such words.
Do not want to see in our person a friend and ally? But why make an enemy out of us? They just don’t need such a big and independent country like Russia – Putin
The US is making Russia an enemy just because they don’t need such a big country, Putin said
Comments from some Russian-speaking observers:
“Putin isn’t just talking about the recognition of Donbass, he’s speaking as if he’s recognizing all of Ukraine as part of Russia!”
Putin: Ukraine will serve as a forward springboard for the West’s strike on Russia
Putin: American strategic planning documents enshrine the possibility of a preemptive strike on enemy missile systems. And who is the main opponent? Russia. In official NATO documents, Russia is directly declared an enemy.
If our ancestors had heard about this, they probably would not have believed it. And we don’t want to believe. But it is so.
The main enemy for the US and NATO is Russia
The deployment of reconnaissance assets on the territory of Ukraine will allow USA to control our territory up to the Urals
NATO completely ignores our protests. They spat on them and did whatever they needed to. And they wanted to do the same. As the saying goes: the dog barks, the caravan moves on. But we didn’t agree to it.
Russia’s proposal for security guarantees was rejected outright by the West
Putin: Russia has every right to take retaliatory measures for its security, and we will do so
The Kiev elite is trying to organize a “blitzkrieg” again in the Donbass. Ukraine does not want to comply with the Minsk agreements, Putin said.
Russia will never compromise its national sovereignty and values – Putin
Putin: in Donbass there is not a day without shelling, killings of civilians, the blockade does not stop – there is no end in sight
Putin and Pushilin signed an agreement on friendship, cooperation and assistance between the Russian Federation and the DPR.
Kiev has been given an ultimatum to immediately stop the war in Donbass or face grave consequences
The people of South Ossetia congratulate the fraternal peoples of the LPR and DPR on a historic event – the recognition of their independence by Russia.
Both chambers of the Russian parliament will consolidate the president’s decision to recognize the LPR and DPR at a meeting on Tuesday – State Duma Vice Speaker Tolstoy
Brothers! Those who are on the front line. Hold on. Perhaps this is not the end of the war, but definitely the beginning of our victory. Everything was not in vain!
Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua likely to recognize the Donetsk and Lugansk republics shortly – reports
Putin’s decision on Donbass completely changes the world order – Serbian President Vučić
The Ansar Allah (Houthis) movement in Yemen supported the recognition of the sovereignty of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, their leadership said.
Vučić said Serbia faced political pressure after Putin’s decision to recognize the DPR and LPR – but 85% of Serbs will side with Russia no matter what happens
Basically, under enormous pressure, Mr. Putin recognized the time was NOW! Either nip this in the bud, or face annihilation later.
Key….. DPR/LPR recognized with “expansive” borders….. given the UkroNazi punishers are virtually entirely located within the new borders, it is likely they will be removed or destroyed.
It is most likely that the Zelensky government will make Hitler’s mistake, and declare war on Russia.
I anticipate the UkroNazis being given the same terms as the German Nazis…. unconditional surrender..
which means replacement of the Nazi government with a suzeranty run from Moscow, and in consultation with the PRC. a de-nazification program.
This specifically means….. Russia is taking the whole, the entirety of Ukraine including Galicia…
I can’t imagine what they are thinking in Paris, Berlin and Kiev. They were hooting about a scenario of fire and brimstone but apparently a simple signature will do just fine.

“They will always find an excuse to introduce more sanctions, regardless of the situation around Ukraine. The only goal they have is to contain the development of Russia. And they will do that like they did it before, without any formal excuse only because we exist. And 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙙𝙚 our sovereignty or national interest and 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚𝙨..”
Was Siluanov’s resigned face telling? It is too early, but this masterstroke tonight may herald (1) a decisive set-back for Atlantic Integrationists, with Putin coming off the balancing wall, (2) Russia FINALLY committing publicly (after Dec 15 Ultimatum, Feb 4 Proclamation alongside China) not merely for its sovereignty, security or interests, but VALUES. Without the spiritual firewall, Russia has no chance against the AZE demonic parasite. This is foremost a spiritual battle. And this harkens back to Stalin recruiting the Orthodox church against the last Nazi hordes..
What set off Mr. Putin’s decision now? It is the night before the 2.22.22. They would truly be mad to wage war now..
maybe just one more death of a working man by ukr shelling whilst waiting for the early morning bus at the stop . Maybe the misery on the faces of the exhausted citizens after 8 years of being every day faced with death who have had to be evacuated in case they became victims of a genocide.
etc
Well, they forced his hand. He had to protect the people of the Donbas. I’d say that was an incredibly noble thing to do. Sanctions or no, Russia will not be held to ransom.
“We are ready to show you what real decommunization means for Ukraine,” – Supreme Commander-in-Chief (Verkhoglavk))) of the Russian Armed Forces V.V. Putin.
If 02/22/2022, then it’s not in vain that I brought a joke here that walks around the offices of the Russian General Staff, they say, “on February 23, the Day of the Soviet Army and Navy / Defender of the Fatherland Day, all tables in all restaurants of Ukrainian cities booked.)))
Then someone asked about the tactical sign “Z” on the armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation – choose;
Z / Z (Greek, Zet) – the winged / airmobile son of the god “North Wind” Boreas. In 2014 and 2015, military operational-tactical operations on the territory of “404” (the so-called “boilers”);
Z / Z (obscene language, “fucked up”), in social networks – Z@fucked;
Z / Z (Cyrillic, land);
Z – (math. Z) unknown value.
Most military minded presumed the Z stands for Zapad which means “West” in Russia, like western military district which is what mostly comprises the Russian forces seen in videos on the borders etc. The recent large Zapad 2021 exercises that occurred etc
NATO and the EU can now do what ever they want to hurt themselves. If they stop Nord Stream 2 many Germany Industries will re-locate in Russia. That will be a bonanza for the Russian economy.
Its my guess that Putin wants the Yankees to kill NS2.
For me, it would have been very hard to sit there for the last few months listening to all of the blather that has come from Europe, especially this new German gov. — and to sit there knowing that there is a button right next to you that all you have to do is to press it and their gas is cut off and they then feel very cold and very broke from paying for expensive American Gas. It would have been hard not to press that button. Those
Germans acting crazy, and all it would take is one little press, one little signature on a piece of paper.
But no, that would be bad politics. It would let the Germans blame the Russians for being cold. So, no, as tempting as it would be to press that button, no. Not now.
But, if the Americans want to press it for me? – -grin- –
In honor of Givi’s death! I am not pro-war or anything like that, but Givi was a true warrior. After many long years of holding the Yukies back, finally his unit gets the backup it deserves. He lived with purpose.
Indeed every time i think of novorussia i have flashback memories of video footage (that may be lost now in our oversensitive “woke” times) of these warriors.
Thats great work Kent, people will not forget those heroes, they should have streets and other places named after them, they didn’t want to take up arms, they had no choice.
So many memories came flooding back looking at your photos/pictures – bittersweet. Without these heros this momentous day may never have come to pass. I know there are many others too who deserve their recognition.
Do you have one of Motorola too?
I am sure all three are looking down from heaven satisfied and happy.
A great decision !
A huge responsibility !
But the beast is wounded and furious. Soon all the imperial power will accuse as always with the entire media apparatus against this multipolar world.
They will fiercely enforce their rules (NORMA) devoid of good. Russia will prevail with faith.
“Pride costs us more than hunger, thirst, and cold.”
Just my ol’ opinion…Judging from body language and especially by his eyes, and hands, and taking the scale of geopolitical incompatibility between the “Anglosaxon” Zone and the civilizational classic Empires of Heartland thousands of years of History and culture – these being land powers, and recaling that the Anglo Zone is in major and evolving crises…judging altogether with the actual substance of VVP speech – I conclude that he believes and expects that he just lit a fuze. He has, understanding precisely the secondary effect, entered into a new phase of conflict with Zone A. The lengthy review of history, which he gave, indicates far more of a justification that would have been necessary for mere recognition of the Republics. In dramatics, this was a flaw – it means a lot. It means he’s decided that a fight is inevitable…which some may remember VVP speaking of…
A “victory” for the US will be the demise of Europe as a result of sanctions “on Russia”, which will eventually push them into Russia’s lap, like it did China and Belarus.
We are witnessing a historical movement. From this moment the stupid Ukronazis can say bye bye to the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk. The Empire won’t appreciate. Beside sanctions what could he do ? Wait and see.
Now the USA got the excuse they wanted to do their sanctions package. Of course, as Putin himself said, they were going to sanction Russia no matter what. They will continue to push it toward full scale war. I continue to believe that rather than be cornered, Russia will at some point bring the war to the USA and London.
Team Biden must now give its response. Nordstream II and SWIFT would be the big question marks. Does Biden give the response today, tomorrow, or at some time to be named in the future? Will Germany and Europe be in complete unison (submitting to the US) or not? And lastly, will The Ukraine pull back their troops and stop the shelling?
Just in from Psaki: “President Biden will soon issue an Executive Order that will prohibit new investment, trade, and financing by U.S. persons to, from, or in the so-called DNR and LNR regions of Ukraine.”
That by itself sounds pretty weak. Moon of Alabama indicated the US would likely hold back on the big sanctions (SWIFT and Nordstream II) so as not to exhaust all financial weapons at this point. I guess we’ll have to see.
“Just in from Psaki: “President Biden will soon issue an Executive Order that will prohibit new investment, trade, and financing by U.S. persons to, from, or in the so-called DNR and LNR regions of Ukraine.””
Overwhelmingly, all Open Thread participants are gun-ho with Putin’s move, but let’s look at his move from another point of view.
Aren’t we all under the belief that the west’s economy will collapse? YES, so I’m I. What better way for the west to use Putin’s move as an excuse to trigger the economic collapse.
Is Putin in on this collapse? Something tells me he is! It seems to me that the LDNR republics are being used for the coming economic collapse, most likely in March 2022.
I hope I’m wrong!
So what? Let them collapse. Better for Russia/China. It’s all part of the great re-pivot, the 4th turning, whatever you want to call it. The new multipolar world is having its birth pangs right now and will soon be born upon the flaming wreck of the USSA
I, for one, am not under this belief, at least not in the sense of an engineered collapse. They may want to bring about inflation to reduce debt levels and blame it on the Russians, but that’s still not collapse. Not even the German economy collapsed during the hyper inflation after WWI, not did Zimbabwe’s during its hyper inflation.
Seriously, I don’t understand how recognizing sovereignty of that impoverished piece of land brings security guarantees that Russia demanded. The goal was to reverse the process of Ukraine joining NATO – and I am afraid these steps will only cement current pro-western junta’s position.
Why ? Because now that Russia gave DNR and LNR security guarantees, those republic are fully protected from any Ukrainian aggression, meaning we have yet another frozen conflict. The Minsk protocol waw (upon its eventual implementation) a leverage for weakening junta’s hold on power. What is left now ?
The answer is there is no other option. What do you expect Russia to do? They don’t do violent coups like the U.S. Russia is not gonna just overthrow Zelensky. This is the best they can do, and if it means the entrenchment of Ukraine and their eventual accession to NATO, then so be it. It’s called realpolitik. Fact of the matter is, this decision is not made purely for some sort of geostrategic purposes, it is made for the sake of staving off what was a likely genocide that would soon begin if Ukrainian nazi forces were allowed to invade Donbass
To see a graphical representation of “The Minsk Protocol”, find the famous John Cleese/Monty Python routine about the Dead Parrot nailed to its Perch.
Putin had given Ukraine and the Americans and the Europeans many opportunities in recent weeks for them to breathe life back into those dead accords. They refused to do so. The Ukrainians have, IIRC, earlier this year passed laws that make it impossible for them to implement the Minsk accords. They have clearly said no. In this most recent crisis, over the last few months, Putin has given them a chance to change their minds.
1500 shellfire incidents in one day was the answer he was given. Sabotage teams crossing the Russian border. Shells landing in Russia. The Ukrainian answer to Putin’s last attempts to breathe life into Minsk has been very clear.
Yes, Putin had no choice but to recognize the republics. The worst, the former west, can not say that Russia is “invading” Ukraine now. DNR and LNR are not Ukraine now.
Kosovo, Northern Cyprus, Southern Sudan, Eritrea, and East Timor are recent examples of nations that broke from a nation. They were OK since the west says that they are OK.
Yet, we must have a potential nuclear war for Donbas breaking away from a former Soviet Republic? It does not make any sense.
I wonder if there will be peoples from Ukraine areas next to the republics who will seek asylum/ refuge and cross over . Could be start of some larger peoples movements?
GLORY TO THE HERO CITIES OF DONETSK AND LUHANSK
NIKTO KROME NAS
Agreed. They’ve truly sacrificed much since 2014 and earned their recognition.
Arkhanghelsk
Amen
Today the world is a much better place. The forces of light are winning.
Draft fast not very accurate transcript of Putin’s address to the nation:
http://smoothiex12.blogspot.com/2022/02/russia-will-recognize-ldnr.html#comment-5754631382
President Putin was showing his anger at the litany of insults inflicted on Russia by the West.
The time for diplomacy may be over.
Not only it is over, but I fear it may never come again.
At least, not until Russia and China usher in a new world order.
For me this means that no major war can happen. At least, not between Russia and Ukraine. Glory to God!
Hallelujah!!!!
At the very end of the speech Putin demanded an immediate stop to the shelling and hostilities in Donbass.
minsk is death? does this mean coldwar 2.0?
Coldwar 2.0 is already behind.
What is ahead is… unknown…
The Cold War will not come back. The Cold War was between two mostly equally matched sides, Rulers and Ruled. Today’s Cold War is between Desperation and Destiny.
hopefully war crimes tribunal soon
If you can tolerate the stench of BBC, the West/NATO accuses Putin of violating international law, and the Minsk agreements.
https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-europe-60454795
it’s interesting but doesn’t the U.S. support independence of “separatists” in many regions particularly
1. independence of Taiwan as breakaway region
2. independence of Hong Kong and its ‘freedom fighters’
3. independence of Kosovo
4. independence of Kurdistan
5. independence of Chechnya and other ‘separatist movements’ in/around Russia (though strangely they don’t support the independence of North/South Ossetia, hmmm)
6. independence Xinjiang the Uighyur territory of China
Spot on. The empire of hypocrisy
Uncle Sam left the building decades ago. The place is now the house of Uncle Scam. It’s the people’s fault, for letting shysters take over the US, sell the people out, and start plundering and pillaging all over the world.
You mean it’s the fault of the USA’s citizens?
Well, we voted in a president who wanted to dismember the CIA and stop warmongering.
He was shot in 1963.
Ron Paul was cheated out of the Republican nomination in 2012.
To be fair, it is uncle “Shemuel” and has been for at least 70 years…
You mean uncle Shmuel?
Nightvision
It’s called double standards, a tradition in Washington DC, where hypocrisy is the usual business practice.
The principle of ‘self-determination’ is considered a fundamental foundation of international law.
And America just very forcefully expressed the concept that each nation has a right to ally themselves with whomever they choose.
Generally the us favors whatever brings them the most money.
You forgot to mention Tibet as well.
Right To Protect, baby! R2P
Back in the day, Putin said this sort of this would backfire, and it has!
It’s actually the Responibility to Protect. After all, the US military has officially portrayed itself as a Global Force for Good.
If you call evil “good”, and good “evil”, American foreign policy actually makes a lot more sense!
Russia will reserve that for the US
Yes, this portrayal is being propagated all over western media, not only the BBC. Not suprisingly, there is no mention of Kosovo.
I think CSTO will be there in a short while.
Why wouldn’t the two independent states join CSTO and then call for help?
Pashinyan (current chairman of CSTO) is on his way to Moscow: https://lenta.ru/news/2022/02/21/welcometorussia/
Maybe the peace-enforcing mission could be carried out by CSTO as a whole, not just by Russia.
@Larchmonter445
This will probably happen soon. The future must be great for those who have suffered under the brutal force of the empire.
@ Zil
The future must be great for those who have suffered under the brutal force of the empire – except for the actual citizens of empire who are going to have to endure its accelerating collapse.
A price I am ready and willing to pay for the greater good.
Here is the website for the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty organization). The “EN” button can be found on the second line of the main heading:
See: https://en.odkb-csto.org/
Under Article 19, Chapter VI Membership of the CSTO Charter:
“Any state sharing the goals and principles of the Organization and being ready to undertake the obligations containing in this Charter and other international treaties and resolutions effective within the framework of the Organization may become a member of the Organization.”
See: https://en.odkb-csto.org/documents/documents/ustav_organizatsii_dogovora_o_kollektivnoy_bezopasnosti_/
So I would imagine the DPR and/or LPR would apply after they form a cohesive government including all the trappings of a political system (e.g., formal constitution, elections, etc.) as well as a foreign ministry.
“I think CSTO will be there in a short while.”
I think they are on the way already. After Kazakhstan drill, CSTO have speed record to break.
Auslander our prayers for your safety have been answered.
Yes, Auslander must write a great book about this moment.
emersonreturn and Zil,
Yes, we are safe but the main thing is by spring all our friends and comrades should be home to Sevastopol and their families, safe and sound. As they return I will tell them of your and many other’s prayers. Prayers worked!
Auslander
major break thru forthe world
Scholz has the hot potato now!
“…treaties on cooperation and mutual support…”
In other words, an alliance. Now, any “Blitzkrieg” attempt by the Ukrainian army in Donbass will be met with a barrage of missiles from Russia proper.
Well played, Vladimir Vladimirovich. I did not think he will go all the way, but he did.
The madman did it.
Is Putin giving a final warning to Kiev to abide by the Minsk accords, or is it now too late?
I think that ship sailed.
Too late. Putin recognized the two republics, the Minsk accords are dead.
The deal was stillborn anyway. Good riddance.
You wouldn’t believe what Kiev will sign soon, and be “happy” about it.
Vince
The Minsk accords are now history. Kiev openly stated it would not respect them. Putin then recognizes the two republics. I think Zelensky must be in a state of shock, thinking he could play with Putin with NATO’s and Washington’s backing.
Zelensky does not think by himself he just follow orders from Us. He seems to have been a bad comedian but still he might have some future there.
@ Vince,
Having worked at a very low level in Diplomatic circles in the past I recognise the language and the warnings.
The next 72 hours are crucial.
Thank you @Old Note Taker ..!
Your comment really clarified this development for me. I’ve been struggling to understand it all… thank you!
Many thanks for the clarification!
All the same, let the West go bite some dust.
That is a big price for Ukraine to pay for not following the Minsk agreements. The west is likely shitting itself blind now.
Not really ….
“The big picture is that the USA wants a war.”
The USA wants money. They could not afford war. Whole charade is about siphoning EU for money. US Involvement is financialy minimal, far far far from what war cost. Compare preparations for Gulf war with this mostly PR extravaganza.
This Big Picture is optical illusion.
Congratulations Auslander 🎊 👏 💐 🥳
Clap clap clap clap clap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had tears of joy in my eyes when VVP announced the decision. God bless the people of the independent republics and the suffering people of Ukraine.
Hear hear! God bless the people of the independent republic of LDNR, Donetsk and Lugansk. The martyrdom of the brave freedom fighter Alexander Zakharchenko and his other brothers assassinated by zio-nazis is not in vein. In heaven, they are triumphant.
Eternal glory to Zakharchenko, to Givi and to Motorola.
Syria has already recognized or stated they will do so officially soon
nice.
People’s Republic of China won’t be too far behind.
Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Ansar Allah (Houthis), Serbia, Chechnya, Syria, and counting…
Russia regains lost respect in the world at large. That she had to bide her time made us all feel angry but now we should rejoice because the forces of evil shall be defeated.
Putin seemed to reprise your sentiment in his speech when he said, “this should have been done long ago”
Putin’s policy has always been to try diplomacy, only when it fails totally, does he take the other option.
Which defines Putin as a great statesman.
Actually, the most important reaction would be from Germany.
Will they halt NordStream 2 or not?
Russia doesn’t care much any more. There is more at stake than a lost investment of some billions.
Agreed. Strange nobody seems to mention or speculate what this means for NS2.
China’s position has the unity of China at its heart. Russia can argue likewise that its the unity of the Russian realm that is at stake since Russians are suppressed in the Ukraine. Putin spoke about that too.
Come on, China don’t even recognize russian Crimea…
Yes agreed this is the smartest take
China has the very same enemy. Even if Chinese won’t voice support for that recognition at fist, they will be still backing up Russia.
Now could be a good time to hit the Reich is Syria.
Now we wait for US/NATO response. Macron always so keen on stepping up prior to election campaign dragged start.
Friendship statement doesn’t directly implies military 8nvolvment though and there’s still room for cool down. Let’s not board as Americans do the hype train ruling for all out war
I suppose that Kissinger’s words echo loudly through the corridors of the Rada in Kiev right now.
“To be an enemy of America can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal.”
Saddam was falsely accused of creating WMD, or as Condoleezza Rice put it, ‘a mushroom cloud’. He was, summarily taken out and eventually hung.
Now, Zelenski openly brags about making a nuke! Highly unlikely he’ll get away with it.
The Ukraine and the west had a chance to avoid this by observing the Minsk agreements which they refused to do. They reap what that have sown.
Isn’t this a fantastic historic moment? Let’s celebrate!
Thanks President Putin, thanks Russian people!!! History will be very gentle with both.
It is fantastic and we have so few victories, but this is one for the ages. I wish Andrei Vltchek were alive to enjoy this and write about it in his own glorious inimitable style.
Well said Zil and Roger,
This is a victory for the ages.

This is momentous. Russia no longer cares about the West.
Now either the West backs off or there will be war.
a war which it will lose

guess they were surprised too…
Sleeping on the job, GlobalTimes.cn? Russia has energy a lot vaster than the Ukraine! You shouldn’t have taken your eyes off her!
My global clock says that it is 6 am in Toyko. You might want to let them wake up first.

Well done President Putin.
What a great moment in history! The west must surrender, now; there is no other way for them.
Time for tie chewing in Kyiv.
This decision might cause a complete fall out of Ukropia.

Patrick

Congratulations again to all !
Ameen!

I think this is the next bargaining chip.
Sincerest condolences to Navalny, Sobchak, and other reputable traitors (not).
This year has started with some stunning victories. And momentum keeps building up.
Наше дело правое. Победа будет за нами!
Putin is a complete scoundrel!!!
Doesn’t he realise only America is entitled to give away other people’s territory?
Jerusalem, West Bank, Golan Heights, Kosovo, South Sudan.
Only the Exceptional Folk are allowed to do that!!!
Don’t forget Trump’s recent ‘gift’ of the vast and disputed West Sahara territory to Morocco.
From Intel Slava…..
NATO is pissed…
“Putin isn’t just talking about the recognition of Donbass, he’s speaking as if he’s recognizing all of Ukraine as part of Russia!”
i also got the strong feeling the decisions made concern not just the 2 recognized republics.
that was clear throughout, e.g. when he mentioned odesa or the nuclear potential of ukraine
im not sure if it will be part of russia, but for sure there will be a rukraine. politically aligned with russia and out of reach for nato.
I can’t imagine what they are thinking in Paris, Berlin and Kiev. They were hooting about a scenario of fire and brimstone but apparently a simple signature will do just fine.
Key words @ 51 min
Maybe the misery on the faces of the exhausted citizens after 8 years of being every day faced with death who have had to be evacuated in case they became victims of a genocide.
etc
There’s a great light shining in the world today and it is Rusia. Praise God in heaven.
Then someone asked about the tactical sign “Z” on the armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation – choose;
Z / Z (Greek, Zet) – the winged / airmobile son of the god “North Wind” Boreas. In 2014 and 2015, military operational-tactical operations on the territory of “404” (the so-called “boilers”);
Z / Z (obscene language, “fucked up”), in social networks – Z@fucked;
Z / Z (Cyrillic, land);

Let us remember them all…..
Motorola…..
Mozgovoi…..
Givi……
Zacharchenko….
AND……
The man who bought them time…. time to organize…. time to resist…. Strelkov…..

Thank you Kent.
So many memories came flooding back looking at your photos/pictures – bittersweet. Without these heros this momentous day may never have come to pass. I know there are many others too who deserve their recognition.
Do you have one of Motorola too?
I am sure all three are looking down from heaven satisfied and happy.
Whenever I feel down I watch this:

It means he’s decided that a fight is inevitable…which some may remember VVP speaking of…
Bear is not amused…and a big decision taken.
You wouldn’t believe what Kiev will sign soon, and be “happy” about it.
Now the USA got the excuse they wanted to do their sanctions package. Of course, as Putin himself said, they were going to sanction Russia no matter what. They will continue to push it toward full scale war. I continue to believe that rather than be cornered, Russia will at some point bring the war to the USA and London.
Interesting. Putin has let his ministers speak publicly in the Security Council. The sorting out of the Yank lackeys is beginning to take great shape.
Isn’t Medvedev even considered a Yank lackey? I heard something like that once!
I guess Hunter is out of a job.
Interesting things I’ve read and reflected on:
– Putin sleeps peacefully knowing that the red lines of Russian security are protected.
– Firm step of the new multipolar order.
– Logic “Yalta Agreements” of the XXI century.
– Europe in the dilemma of continuing to play the international relations of the 90s or looking after its geoeconomic interests.
“Just in from Psaki: “President Biden will soon issue an Executive Order that will prohibit new investment, trade, and financing by U.S. persons to, from, or in the so-called DNR and LNR regions of Ukraine.””
Very wise decision. Congratulations to the people of Donetsk and Lugansk. Thank you President Putin of Russia.
I like your thinking!
The big question is, how will the West retaliate?
NATO will enter Galicia.(Lviv)
I think that this is very likely.
Andrei
I am waiting for Andrey’s take on this.
I lived through a civil war instigated by the dirty rotten English and suffered its horrors. Was only 4 years old but the memories don’t go.
