Dear friends, Christ is Risen!
I am back from my trip and I just wanted to quickly let you know that in the coming days I will make an announcement about how we plan to run the blog for the next couple of months. With one exception, the changes will be minor. I will share all the details with you soon.
Right now I want to keep it very short (I am working on the mentioned changes) but I will say this bullet point style:
- I consider the fact that Gonzalo Lira reappeared alive and relatively well as a true miracle. The report of his seizure, torture and murder by the Nazi deathsquads made me literally sick and when I saw his short “reappearance video” I could not believe my eyes. I understand that he is still held by the SBU is a city surrounded by Russian forces and, barring a return to sanity to at least some Ukrainians, which might well become the next Mariupol, so Lira is not out of danger. But at least now is is not “disappeared” and that makes a HUGE difference. Being held by the Ukie Gestapo is bad, but being “disappeared” by a Nazi death squad is infinitely worse, trust me, that is a topic (disappearances of people by death squads) I know very well.
- I now hope and pray that they expel/exchange or otherwise get him out of Kharkov and even out of the Ukraine (unless he goes into the RF/LDNR controlled areas). I physically don’t have the time right now to try to figure out what is going on with him, but if you hear not rumors, but credible info, ideally from Lira himself, please email me to keep me posted. While I don’t always or necessarily agree with all he says, I have the utmost respect for him, his courage and his honesty. Is he in any way perfect or a saint? No, of course not, and he never claimed that he was. But is he a true hero, yes, absolutely. I would be honored to shake his hand. I wish the collective West had 1% of his honesty and courage, it would change the planet (and stop the war).
- I think that we can now agree that the “Russia is losing” narrative has ended in the inevitable faceplant. Right now Russia has not even launched a full scale assault, only “fire/combat reconnaissance” operations and yet Russian forces are already advancing on many (crucial) fronts/locations.
- The Nazi logistics are basically dead. No fuel (especially diesel), no lubricants, no ammo, no rotation, no meds, and in many cases, almost no food and even almost no water. And now no electricity to supply electrical locomotives so, in other words, no meaningful train service and certainly none which would make any real military difference. Western weapons which still are getting to the Donbass are either small and basically irrelevant, or destroyed long before they get anywhere. A lot of them proved quite bad, by the way, including the Javelins and the “suicide drones” – Russian tanks have survived multiple hits by both of these weapon systems and have returned to combat with only minor repairs needed.
- On paper the Ukronazi army still exists, in reality it is comprehensively defeated, and if you don’t get that, don’t ask me to explain, just read Andrei Maryanov and Bernard at Moon of Alabama. Also make sure to read the detailed SITREPs written by NightVision and others!
- The West’s idea of pumping the Ukraine full of ammo is, frankly, Western psychotherapy, as are sanctions. They are designed to suppress the psychologically unbearable double reality that a) Russia is winning and has been winning from Day 1 and b) that the West, as a society, has committed full-spectrum suicide. The Western PSYOPs did, I think, give a massive thrashing to the (mostly pathetic) Russian counter-propaganda efforts, but now they are also running out of “ammo” and all the crap they have been spewing for 2 months now has turned out to be exactly as expected: a pile of steaming lies, nonsense and infantile idiocies. As they say in the US, if your head is in the sand, your ass is in the air. And yes, when reality “bites” you there it is very painful, especially if you spent 2 months in total denial :-)
- Western actions will only have a minimal impact on the combat operations. As for the public opinion in Russia, the West has done a truly SUPERB job uniting the Russian people around Putin and the Russian armed forces. All the now openly racist comments made by Western politicians have finally opened the eyes of a solid majority of Russians who now understand why, how and what Russia is doing and NOBODY wants to stop. Okay, that is not totally true, most of the Russian 5th columnists and Atlantic Integrationists still want to stop Russia from being sovereign, but they are totally “outshouted” by the 80% or so who “get it” and who care about Russia, not billionaire’s yacht and offshore accounts. Each time the Western authorities steal (not, not “confiscate” or “sanction” or “freeze” – but *steal*) Russian assets in the West, most Russians reply with a roaring standing ovation and request for “more! more! more! Get these bastards where it hurts them!“
- The Empire of Hate and Lies is still balancing between more grandiose threats and utter despair, which means that those who run the Empire will either create a false flag, or double down, or both. The good news is that the various factions which run Zone A are all fighting each other and the stupidity of the West’s reaction is now beginning to “bite”, mostly in Europe, but it will come to the USA sooner rather than later.
- As for the stinking EU cadaver, it can only do what cadavers do: further rot and stink up the air. The Europe I was born in has ceased to exist. Now it is, at best, fertilizer for the Empire. But something else, very different, will replace it sooner or later (probably later). Until then, the EU will be what Trump would call a “shithole”, and that condition was totally self-inflicted: putting the 3B+PU+UK in de facto charge of NATO and the EU was a terminally dumb mistake and now these cretins will pay the truly immense price for this fatal mistake.

One needs to be careful of the U.S. designs on the matter. The U.S. I believe, as I understand it, as they themselves are saying, is that they have no intention of even trying to “win” the war in the Ukraine. Instead they are out to turn the whole place into a guerrilla hellhole for Russia to have to contend with after regular military opertations come to their logical completion. The idea is to wear Russia down with a quagmire. Hopefully, the Ukrainian people are smart to this as guerrilla operations need a fair civilian support base from which to operate. The Ukrainian people probably are wise to all this, but the sick poodles in Washington are obviously planning on injecting mercenaries (as they have been) to keep a guerilla war going. It will be interesting to see how the Ukraine population and the Russians will contend with that. Meanwhile I hear there are bombings in Transanita. So, this Washington strategy knows no bounds (geographic or moral.)

The betrayal of EU common citizens by their governing elites in this Ukraine case is totally eye-opening. Will designer dressed and tailored suits paid by no-so-shabby EU official monetary compensation represent their collective IQ? Obviously these lemmings thought so.
US leadership has no intention of “winning” the war through military action. The purpose, like Afghanistan, is to attempt to bleed Russia dry. Which is stupid given that Afghanistan has been thoroughly studied by Russian Armed Forces for so long that they have their own ideas on how to proceed in Ukraine. Basically, the MBA’s running America think that everything can be won through financial warfare with little or no cost to themselves since they have the American dollar. American leadership – political & business – are infected by group think. They have attended the same colleges, believe the same economics, and are thus unable to proceed in any other way than what they have been trained in. They are stuck in the mindset of the 1980’s and 1990’s. While Russian strategy is for the 21st century.
As for losses of tanks, mobility kills don’t count. The T-34, the best tank of WWII, was also the most killed tank of WWII. The Soviets simply recovered and repaired them and sent them back into action. Much like Americans did with Shermans after the Normandy invasion. Overall, mobility kills don’t count when the tank can be put back into action within 24 hours. Tactically, only during contact with the enemy will mobility kills affect the outcome. And since AFU lacks the firepower in the long run? They are losing.
As for US/NATO leadership – mostly concerned with advancing corporate profits – being in despair & grandiose threats? If their plans fail, they don’t acknowledge them except behind closed door where they attempt to come up with another response. Basically, if they fail, they shrug it off even if the wound is arterial. Instead preferring to apply yet another tourniquet. The leadership does not care about failure. It only angers them. And they attempt yet another harebrained scheme at another time and place.
Even Afghanistan was not a failure for US/NATO corporate leaders. A stunning success, profit-wise over 20 years. For the MBA leadership of US/NATO to acknowledge failure would be to destroy their own egos and id. Psychopaths only display anger upon failure, then to seek revenge.
The personal anger, and yes – it is personal – of MBA leadership of US/NATO is such that they would risk destroying The US (not an unwelcome outcome in their eyes, by the way) economically and militarily. This is the psychology of psychopathy. Unfortunately, most of the American public have failed to realize that The Empire is being run by such petty psychopaths. Examples include Nuland & Blinken, idiots on The Atlantic Council, failures such as retired Gen. Breedlove, and American politicians who are bought and paid for by corporate interests here in America. That the American public does not comprehensively acknowledge that US/NATO/EU leadership will sacrifice even their own people to advance the personal agendas (there is more than one depending on faction) of leadership.
On further note, Poland seems to blame Russia for not delivering gas even though Poland refuses to pay in rubles. It would be interesting if the contract did not stipulate a specific bank for Euros or rubles to be paid into. If Russia could simply switch the accounts to a sanctioned bank while abiding by the contract? Poland would be unable to pay due to sanctions. Possibly allowing Russia to declare Poland in default or breach of contract. This is probably not the case. However, unless it is specific that the account be settled in Euro – specific language – then Russia is well within their right to demand payment in rubles.
Poland is also a co-belligerent under international law, as an ally of Ukraine. By supplying arms and allowing Ukrainian troops to train on Polish soil. Russia has wisely refrained from targeting co-belligerent allies of Ukraine such as Poland, Germany, etc. Seeking to limit the conflict to Ukrainian soil. All the while knowing that there is little US/NATO/EU leadership can do in Ukraine other than token arms to AFU.
RF leadership has judged that the SMO has been of sufficient success that they look to expand their initial goals by including the seizure of Odessa and linking with Transnistria. As a very real achievable goal. RF leadership has sent a strong signal to US/NATO/EU of high confidence in the performance of the Russian military during the SMO.
The key to understanding the psychopathy of US/NATO/EU leadership is to realize that this conflict is personal. The contest is not between the RF and US/NATO/EU per se. It is a personal contest – rather desire – that Nuland, Blinken, and many others pursue against Pres. Putin. Putin challenges them on a personal level. Nuland et. al. will pursue such a challenge to the last Ukrainian, the last EU citizen, and to the last American Citizen. Their psyhopathy does not allow for anything else. For others in The US/NATO/EU? It is business – to control the natural resources of Russia. A plan which Pres. Putin thwarted beginning in 1999. Some business leaders in US/NATO/EU see it as personal & business. Their greediness leads them to covet the natural resources of Russia. Personal & business? Many Western business leaders lost out over the last 20 years. Some are still smarting from that when Putin limited their ability to seize (by contract) control of Russian resources. There are fewer of these as time goes by and they retire or die.
However, for the people who actually run the show? Talking about Nuland, Blinken, etc? It is PERSONAL. They see Pres. Putin as the enemy who thwarted their grand designs. Who knocked down the “brightest of the Western World” and then kicked them. Their hatred, rooted in historical animosity and personal animosity, knows no bounds. This is what makes them particularly dangerous even to Western citizens whom Nuland et. al. would willingly sacrifice in order to destroy Putin and Russia.
It is the psychology of animals. Rather than the psychology of more humane people.

They have been failing for decades and have been continuously bailed out by the federal government (which they own). Thus there is no failing: the military, energy, and financial complexes are drowning in money; the 0.01% are choking to death on money. Everyone else is screwed, and not to put to fine a point on it, completely irrelevant.
Under socialism, government owns industry; under capitalism, industry owns government.
We’ve just seen two years of what could be described as ‘extreme socialism for corporations.’ The watchword of the nazi west for the last few years is that ‘No Corporation can be allowed to fail.’ Anytime a corporation gets into trouble, the billions of government money showers upon any corporation that might possibly fail. Some of this government money is harvested from sweating taxpayers, some of it is just created out of thin air with a future cost in inflation to be paid. But should a corporation threaten to fail, billions of government money is found because this corporation must be saved.
What they’ve missed is that in capitalism, its a good thing when corporations fail. At least some of them are supposed to fail. Its called competition. Its a key facet in the system. The corporations that do stupid things fail. The corporations that get detached from reality fail. Its the way the system is supposed to work. But now we have a system where every corporation is now sacred, and we see the screams if one is going to fail. This can not be allowed to happen. We can let millions starve to death around the world, but we can not let a corporation fail.
They will designate the ones to fail.
The rest are literally owned by the same two or three major players. Read about Blackrock, Vanguard, and State street. These companies maintain controlling interests if not complete ownership of the vast majority of important corporations in the western world.
Under cover of Covid and the “cares act” Trump literally handed over the keys to the US Treasury to Blackrock. Without even the courtesy of a recorded vote the act was rushed through the captured US legislature.

Excellent analysis of Western leadership, or the lack thereof. This is normal development in the life of empires. They all fail eventually, and the most militaristic ones are usually gone forever (Genghis, Timur, etc.). The ones that are more solid culturally make comebacks (China, India, Rome, etc.).
It’s the old Afghanistan playbook. That was suitable for the 1980’s. However, that playbook has been so thoroughly studied by the RF and Chinese as to be unplayable. Except that US/NATO/EU leadership do not understand that. While they are stuck in the 1980’s and 1990’s? Russian leadership has had 20+ years to develop tactics & strategies to counter such outmoded thinking and planning.
That is what happens when Western leadership is run by a gerontocracy & their not-that-much-younger disciples. They are stuck in the past.
One example? Venezuela. When an “aid convoy” sent by The US was then “attacked” by “Venezuela”. The attackers were Western-backed actors led by known CIA asset and criminal, Elliot Abrams. For some reason, Western services tried to gin up a scandal in front of news cameras that showed CIA-backed assets attacking their own “aid convoy”. What emboldens such idiots to keep using the same stale false-flag strategies? That even when the proof is conclusive, the idiots in charge are promoted or left untouched. Douma in Syria involving CW’s? Failure. People at OPCW and the CIA morons who dreamed that up where left untouched. Because, for those morons, there is no failure. Only temporary setback.
It’s like when a patient is bleeding out despite having applied three tourniquets? They reasoning is to apply as many tourniquets as possible until the bleeding stops. Tourniquets, in this example, represent the moronic planning of Western leaders. If at first you don’t succeed (and never acknowledge failure)? Try, try, try and keep on trying.

Washington is does not have a “program solving” culture. It is a city/region that is all about factions and money. Somebody comes up with a plan to do “something” about Venezuela. Various offices and contractors offer “solutions” which involve plausible-sounding results and then the work is approved. All you have to do to see this sort of chaotic decision-making style is to look at the details of the Iraq invasion and occupation by US led forces. The whole operation was “headless” and involved absurd levels of corruption and half-assed measures that appeared aimed at insuring a revolt by Iraqis but were not. As an ex-federal contractor our goal task is to make as much money as possible by any means necessary even if we knew the project would fail. In pursuing our interests our company at least was relatively competent and we did at least try to take the interests of the government in mind but I found many contractors who could care less and continued billing the government for work they knew would fail.
The seeming power of Washington is that there are unlimited funds chasing almost unlimited policies out of which some succeed in the short-term (that’s all that matters) and most sort of crumble into obscurity. Note that in National Security matters there is virtually no oversight by either Congress or the media unless some faction in power wants to do a hit job on some other rival faction. The reason why the “world” (vassal states), knowing how Washington operates, continue to be “led” by Washington is because the whole enterprise is overseen by a virtual priesthood of intel and covert op officers (in the US and Europe) who see themselves as the “Guardians” of the “free world” and are willing and able (by law) to do “anything” no matter how destructive to the world and their host countries. The rest of the imperial capitol of Washington has taken semi criminal methods to insure stable power-relations continue to exist no matter how incompetent they end up being knowing that the mainstream media will repress anything that does not fit into the overall Narrative.
I agree. I think at this point the US is happy just to have the Ukraine in chaos and to eventually use it as a base to stage CIA/MI6/Mossad operations. However I had an idea last night. If Putin could convince the radical Ukrainians that they are being duped by Kiev and Washington he could maybe make them switch side and help Russia pacify Ukraine. I know this is easier said than done, but those things happened in other periods. Putin could offer a deal of that kind to the fighters currently hiding under the Azovstal.
The Donbass armies will do the dirty work to counterract any insurgency with the help of spetsnaz and RAF.
Ukrops is not Chechen, it appears that no one with leadership of Akhmat Kadyrov (Kadyrov’s father), not even one who worthy to negotiate with, they are too scattered anyway, no unity among people whatsoever maybe with exception in LNR and DPR. It is obvious that those fanatics left in Azovstal are damned guy, there is no way to save their souls, no easy way, Kadyrov knew this, Putin knew this, Denis knew this. Step One, wander into the Big Muddy, the quagmire known as Vietnam, following a strategic plan that believes in falling dominoes and thus that if Saigon falls, Los Angeles is doomed, doomed I say. According to the Domino Theory, which was the height of American brilliance at the time, if Saigon goes, Los Angeles can’t have more than a few years of freedom. Thus, Uncle Sam goes neck deep into the Big Muddy.
Step Two. Decide to destroy Afghanistan in order to give the Russkies their own Vietnam. This eventually ends up with your own 20 year quagmire in the sand and mountains as you launch a Terror War against the same fighters you launched against the Russkies.
Step Three. Now, the ultimate point of yet another Brilliant Plan … give the Russkies their own Afghanistan in Ukraine.
At the very least, this should have massively confused the Russians.
The Washington strategy is going to be successful unless the global trade flow Eurasian strategy succeeds in causing the West to enter Major Depression mode at which point they will be unable to keep up the hostilities.
Right now there is still a distinct possibility that this a phony war with both sides colluding to crash the existing socio-political order in order to replace it with a new global reset or whatever. The Ukrainians will play a heavy price for this geopolitical gamesmanship but that’s par for the course in such matters.
I thought that the Putin Shoigu meeting wherein they announced that Mariupol was liberated and that Russia would not be storming Azovstal was pretty good public relations

Russia didn’t target the trains themselves because Ukraine was using passenger trains to transport weapons. Instead, they have lunched a military operation against “traction substations” striking nodal points with high-precision long-range missiles.

Russia launched a military operation against the railways of Ukraine
Russian precision-guided weapons hit several strategically important Ukrainian railway junctions west of Kiev. The flow of NATO lethal aid, which came in trains from Poland, if not stood up, then seriously disrupted. The fact that weapons and ammunition for the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass go, including by rail, was known for a long time. Why was the decision to strike at the railway was made only now?
The Russian military with high-precision long-range weapons destroyed six traction substations at the railway stations of Ukraine, “through which the supply of foreign weapons and military equipment to the Ukrainian group of troops in the Donbass is carried out.” This was announced on Monday by the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov. To clarify: traction substations of the railway are designed to distribute energy, including for powering electric rolling stock.
According to Konashenkov, the strikes were inflicted on the stations: Krasnoye and Kovel (Lviv Railway), Zdolbuniv (station in the Rivne region), Zhmerynka and Korosten in the Zhytomyr region and Zhmerynka in Vinnytsia (South-Western Railway).
In this case, all missile strikes were carried out on railway infrastructure facilities west of Kiev. As noted by the newspaper VZGLYAD, earlier it was repeatedly indicated that weapons and ammunition from NATO countries are supplied from logistics warehouses in Poland and are further transported across the western border of Ukraine, including by rail.
“We have not previously struck, because the Ukrainians transport military equipment from the United States and the European Union by passenger trains. The Ukrainians took such a trick: an electric train, a passenger car – and a platform with equipment is attached to it. We previously feared that Ukraine would accuse us of exterminating the civilian population,” military expert, reserve colonel Viktor Baranets, explained to the Vzglyad newspaper.
Now the concept has changed, says Baranets. “We are now working on traction substations, on those facilities where the civilian population is least likely to suffer. Now the railway war has begun,” the interlocutor explained.
As explained by the source of the Telegram channel “Notebook Periscope”, coordinated and targeted missile strikes were inflicted on nodal points. Thus, the Krasnoye traction substation on the Lviv Railway is responsible, in fact, for the approach to Lviv and for the fork in the road to Ternopil and Rivne.
After air strikes, traffic was stopped on several stretches in the direction to the east: Shepetivka – Kozyatyn (from Khmelnytsky to Vinnytsia region), Zhmerynka – Kozyatyn (the territory of Vinnytsia region), Kozyatyn – Fastiv (from Vinnytsia to Kyiv region). That is, two main passages to the east. About 25-30 passenger trains and an unknown number of freight trains were detained, including those carrying goods for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, believes the author of the Telegram channel “Periscope Notebook”, railway analyst Sergey Sigachev. Thus, the flow of Western weapons (including those that were transferred to the Rzeszów airfield in southeastern Poland) and went further to the theater of operations stalled…

I don’t know if mostly American audience knows what this target is. Electric train runs by electric motor powered from the electric grid above the track. This electric grid has different voltage than transmission grid of the country. You need to convert this electricity from long distance transmission grid to that of the railway. This stations are throughout the country and are supplying railways with electricity. Germany has 183 of them. To power the electric grid of the railway you need to build one such station every 30 to 50 km of tracks. These stations are not easy to repair if destroyed. They have some mobile ones for emergency but just for replacing breakdowns and maintenance.
Another favorite globohomo political fetish (after Ukraine and Tranny empowerment) is “muh environment” and “muh climate change”. We are supposed to be frightened by farting cows and spending our money on Tesla electric cars.
A completely ignored fact here, is that these electric trains are the cleanest possible form of transportation.
Nuclear plants to generate electricity, distributed to homes, businesses, industry, and traction stations. And trains powered with no smoke or pollution of any kind.
Ah, as long as Wall Street & The City of London (largest money laundering entity on Earth) control the implementation of environmental measures? Nothing gets done.
Consider carbon credits. It’s a financial instrument masquerading as an environmental measure. Idiocy.
Nuclear power? Chernobyl & Fukushima. And the long-term storage & disposal costs of nuclear waste. Which means that absent accounting gimmicks? Nuclear power has never been profitable. EVER. There is some movement with thorium reactors – all but impossible to develop in the US due to the nuclear industry’s opposition. Or the safer designs of nuclear reactors which are slower to start up as opposed to current designs. Nuclear waste can be reprocessed; however, the techniques are so expensive that nuclear power would price itself out of existence.
As for Tesla cars with lithium ion batteries? Lithium – while one of the most abundant resources? Only occurs in any great quantities in so few places on Earth as to be of no long-term use. Stop-gap only.
Texas, despite Republican opposition to “green energy”, also generates the most electricity of any State… using wind turbines. Republican opposition to the use of wind turbines, is more a business decision to vault Texas ahead of other States. Then again, Texas’ failure to winterize their pumping stations at LNG generation plants almost resulted in the total destruction of their electric grid as explained by Texas Republican regulators.
There are technologies in development that are not mature enough to deploy. That require massive investment. That American companies and corporations are loathe to spend money on. Indeed, private R&D in the US by corporations has SHRUNK. Leaving the US government to pick up the tab.
“Green Power” is not about green power, alone. It is about the technologies that will vault the country possessing those technologies, into the number one position; becoming #1. China realizes this. Those who control the next technologies? Win. Those that don’t? Become cheap labor installers in the employ of #1. The US DoD admits that China now leads in key technologies. China has an industrial policy and coordination. The US? Has 10,000 chiefs battling each other.
American business leaders trained as MBA’s, are mere speculators. They are trained in gambling and corporate destruction. They can’t see further than that. Their greed does not allow them to. What do I mean by corporate destruction? Buying out a company, loading it up with debt, and then declaring bankruptcy.. while hauling away the corporate gold… Is the preferred method of Western private equity. Driven by greed. It is looting. What has happened to America since Reaganism & Reaganomics became the preferred economic model. For forty years, Wall Street has provided massive investments to the likes of China, Mexico, Indonesia; sold factories and tooling and intellectual property abroad… while neglecting their home country.

The fact that weapons and ammunition for the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass go, including by rail, was known for a long time. Why was the decision to strike at the railway was made only now?
It seems like every sitrep has several of us armchair tacticians and strategerists saying things like “why didn’t they jam the Ukie’s cell phones, why didn’t they disconnect the internet, why don’t they tear up roads and shut off the water and gas and other utilities?
And, perhaps, there is an answer — you don’t switch on your targeting radar until you are targeting something, and you don’t run your ATGM dazzler when there are no ATGMs around, etc. Someone is likely to be listening/watching. And targeting you.
Two reasons I can think of — first, the stated objective of this operation was to leave the Ukraine functioning as well as it did before while changing out the top level management for a more compatible crew. Working railroads will be useful in the rebuilding phase. And the other reason — if it had been done a month ago, the AFU would be a month closer to working out an alternative transportation solution. This way, they are suddenly left without supply lines, and no other way to move things, nor easily repair the tracks and traction stations. This timing makes the loss more painful.
Third: two month with intact infrastructure gave the ukrainian civilians plenty of time to flee the country: pro-russians to Russia; pro-western/NATO/EU/Kiev to the west.

This will devastate the fragile European economy. The Italian banking system was only holding on by a thread. You can just bet as businesses shut down, loan defaults will start to cascade from one bank to another. Eventually, there will be international loans by Italian banks that will default. Badly. The EU has given Serbia an ultimatum that by (I think) May 16th they (Serbia) have to sever gas & oil imports from Russia & to begin the process of severing all their various links across the board. Some people are confused about this & think Vucic is playing a smart balancing act, that he is another Orban, which is totally idiotic. Vucic came to power in 2012 from an earlier betrayal in 2008 where he left his original party, which was nationalist & Russophile, to adopt a pro-west pro-EU position. Vucic can not say enough about how Serbia must join the EU. So we wait to see what he will do. If he stands up to the west & the EU & rejects their ultimatum it will only be because he knows he is treading very thin ice with the Serbian population, which is pro-Russian in the absolute majority. But it is questionable whether public pressure is enough to sway him to do what he knows is right, he himself does not care at all, he is in love with the west & if he can get away with it, Vucic will throw in Serbia’s lot with the west. What will the Serbian population do? Hard to know. I have no idea, I’m a Serb, & I will tell you that I am not optimistic & am not at all impressed by the Serbian populations actions so far, there is a lot they can do, but apart from some minor protests, they do nothing. The fact is that Serbia is so westernised, that the populace really thinks it is western, even those who proclaim to be Russophiles & Serb nationalists, it is disgusting. The population never reacted adequately to a whole series of major treasons, the Brussells Agreement which withdrew Serbian state institutions from Kosovo – a huge betrayal by Vucic – the March 2004 pogrom, the extradition of Milosevic to the Hague in 2003, the colour revolution in October 2001. All this time the Serb populace has sat by, apathetic, not really caring, & letting it all happen to them. The only glimmer of hope have been Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, & the Serbs of Montenegro who stood up to Djukanovic’s mafia regime – if that spirit were to take hold of Serbia itself, there would be a lot to hope for, & no dilemma that Serbia will stand by Russia to the end, as it should.

I would like to mention one Slovenian journalist Boris Soban. He writes mostly in newspaper Delo. I’m reading his collumns for 20 years and he hasn’t told anything good about Russia. I can’t understand why such a hate from a person from a country far from Russia and from a country never occupied by them either. All those years is the same: corruption, this journalist, that oposition politician. He is well connected to one obscure world of exile Russians and western secret services promoting them. Our other media were not antirussian before the war. There were some positive and some negative reports. But not from this man. For our country Russia is far away, we have good economic cooperation and no problems with. We have some problems with our neighbours but no souch hate and constant writing of regime oponents in neighbouring countries. There were a few terrorist attacks in Transnistria over the week-end (iirc) and that shows that tensions will go up.
Also, at least one Russian general, not an official spokesman though, but a top guy in the know said that Russia will take over the entire Black Sea Coast and create a direct land connection to Transnistria.
So yes, tensions are going up.
I think the sequence is this:
1) first liquidate the various cauldrons in the Donbass
2) liberate Nikolaev and Odessa
3) create a land corridor to Transnistria.
What I don’t know and don’t want to even try to guess is exactly how or when this will happen.
The key priority of Russians right now is to save as many lives (Russian and Ukrainian!) as possible, and that if that means moving very slowly, that’s not a problem.

I think it would be a very good idea for Russia to publish which EU countries are cooperating with its demands to purchase its Energy products in Roubles. It is likely that these hyena Europeans are begging Russia not to release any details on this matter; this after all the largesse from vermin like Ursula Von der Lying & Borrell telling Russia to stuff this request/demand.

I still feel that the Russian information policy turns out pretty well for it. Russia was never, ever going to outshout the biggest infowar machine in history which the West possesses, so it instead relies on the stupidity of its operators to make them score own goals. Even if most Westerners will get it memory-holed, it’s going to be the most colossal embarrassment it ever experienced when all the narratives this machine peddles about 404 and Russia collapse completely and it turns out that Russia had the score right all along. You can already see some anticipations of that with the gormless UN Sec-Gen today coming into Russia with his head full of Banderite spam and facing the stark difference between it and reality (no doubt supplemented by much material evidence by the MFA team receiving him). While he is insignificant, it’s just one person out of so many more which will run face-first into that and get their rude awakening, that all they knew was lies. We are at a crossroads: either the collective West accepts defeat and returns to, and agrees, the 2 Russian treaties of last November; or, they double down and the only option is for NATO to get involved (OK, its already is) directly. The first option requires a leader of strength and vision, so it won’t happen. The second option (which apart from hubris, is inevitable because the West needs Russian resources) leads to catastrophic defeat for the West – and the US can be under no illusions this will just be confined to Europe – it most certainly will not. This second option is why, I think, Russia has kept so many armies in reserve on the sidelines of Ukraine.

No it isnt. It is a western psyop designed only for the masses. Follow the money as always. Who is benefiting and who will benefit for years to come. None of that matters in the least. This is just part of the ongoing “bust out” of the former USA and the rest of the West.

I wish I could share you optimism Saker. Unfortunatly I dont think things are looking anywhere near as good as you seem to think. Few things I would like to points out:
1) The whole they will “collapse soon” line of thinking has been going on for over a decade(if not longer) now and US and EU are still here, more hostile to the rest of the world then ever before(I guess I should say more OPENLY hostile). Even worse we have the example of Ukraine which has been collapsing since the Maidan coup in 2014 and yet its still here(Empire provides just enough support to keep things running) and has brainwashed hundreds of thousands(if not several million) of its citizens to fight and die in the intrests of the Empire of Lies. TBH this whole line of thinking “they will collapse soon” is just wishful thinking and cannot be taken seriously. The Elites that run the Empire dont care how much hardship even their own citizens will have to suffer, most of the collapse(if it even happens) wont effect them (if you want a great example of this is Kennedy before becoming a politician once said in an interview that growing up during the Great Depresion he and his school/college peers never heard anything about it, they where completely shielded from it). At best they will just take a break to reform and find new ways to wage war (like the British did).
2) As a person who lives in Russia I can tell you one thing, the political system is in need of reform. I dont mean any western style democritization. I mean time for Putin to prepare a seccesesor and for a real opposition(not some fake pro-west opposition or the Kremlin yesmen opposition) to emerge now that the Kremlin seems to have finally stopped playing the Putin or prowestern freaks dichotomy. Not sure if thats the best way to phrase it but basicly the reason they only recently arrested Navalny and stopped many other prowestern leaders is because they where the “Le Pen” option so to speak. Tbh these guys are such clowns that its disrespectful to Le Pen to be compared to them but they basicly fulfiled the same function: Putin or these guys so to speak. I fear the current confrontation has put any reform on hold indefinatly. The political system will become even more ossified and brittle. The brittle part is the especially dangerous part. Say something happens to Putin then what? Will the system remain stable? I suspect that unfortunatly this maybe part of the wests calculus, either get prowestern puppets in power or make it so the political system in Russia is “paralyzed”(cant conduct nessesary reforms and degrades over time).
I hope Im wrong and we pull through this rough time but I fear that even after the situation with Ukraine is resolved the Empire will not stop and just keep escalating. Until and actual change in ruling elites occurs in the west the war the west is waging against basicly the rest of the world will not stop. And tbh it looks like scenarios which lead to nuclear escalation are becoming more and more likely and are not percieved as exsistencial threats by the western elites but as a way to play chicken with Russia/Chine hoping they will back down everytime.
I try to stay optimistic but its quite hard considering how things are going.

Caught this interview with Gonzalo Lira on Richard Medhurst YouTube (link below). He explains how he was arrested and some of the constraints he’s under plus comments on a host of other things related to the Ukraine SOP. Glad to see he is ok, but like Saker, I don’t agree with all his viewpoints. Still he is a very cogent and reasonable person, and his commentary for the most part is spot on.

I want to say something to you and all you supporters about God’s part in war.
Yesterday I was appalled at what was said by a high representative of the UN on the BBC news here in the U.K.
Instead of speaking for peace he poured petrol on the flames by his vitriolic character assassination of President Putin.
He is of course as we all know by now just repeating these poisonous remarks that are made continuously in the western media. Foreign Secretary Sergei Lavrov quite rightly has described the USA and its NATO allies as “The Empire of Lies”
And we have all been shocked I think by the extraordinary psychological campaign that the so called “West” has unleashed on the world.
The latest little tidbit yesterday on BBC news “Russia might use a small nuclear weapon on Ukrainian citizens to frighten them.”
The Russian MOD has already warned of the possibility of the west using a false flag operation in Ukraine. And the western media is softening everybody up by dropping these items into their news now.
And rightly I think, all these things are being brought to the light here at the Saker, so that we can see what is really going on, also the firm resolve of Russia to follow through with its plans, and the way that events are turning in Russia’s favour. Including of course the reset of world relationships etc. Anyone for learning the Russian language? or Chinese? Or other eastern language? And if not language, learning about their rich history and cultures, and their modern take on life?
But now to my main point. Many ask, where is God in all this? Can God be on the side of Russia? Or the USA? Or is God not any side and just picks up the pieces, helping those who suffer due to the war?
Certainly, Jesus Christ, the Son of God taught and showed that God is on the side of the poor and suffering of the world. But does He care about truth and justice? Faith and trust? Honesty and care for others? Peace?
Jesus said, “blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the the children of God” and it’s worth reading the whole of his sermon:
“‘Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. In the light of this I think it is quite easy to see which side God is on!
In everything Russia has been, and is on the side of peace.
And it’s cruel adversary, the Empire of Lies, is clearly on the side of chaos, war, famine, disease and death.
King David of Israel, had to face many who attacked him in his day. Let’s see how his faith and trust in God, who he saw as the God who is on the side of the poor and the weak and who loves justice and righteousness, He expresses these things in quite a few of his psalms.

Russia and those that are their friends can rest secure under the protection of the God of David while those that glorify themselves and violence and greed suffer under the judgement of God.
Welcome back , Andrei. Talking about the few remaining 5th columnists, the Russia state media RT seems to be tightly in their hand. As for the EU, it is such a sad spectacle to see how far these moderately intellegent people (European masses) could allow themselves to be led by the nose into the slaugther house of imperial arrogance. I wish to be as optimistic as Saker. Even though I accept his assessment as correct, I have concerns that a conclusive Russian “victory” remains doubtful.
The series of explosions which have occurred recently are very likely acts of sabotage.
Apart from the ones in Transniestria, they bear resemblance to the myriad of attacks staged by Israel and the United States against Iranian nuclear facilities. They were cyberattacks.
A great part of the stand-off weaponry, which is used in warfare today, is controlled through communications involving spaced-based devices. Most of the rest depends on communications with aircraft to identify targets and to direct the weapons to their targets.
Ukraine is not capable of waging war by these means. NATO nations -which for the most part means the United States- are providing target acquisition, weapons control, and damage assessment to Ukraine.
The United States is openly funding Ukrainian resistance. It is openly providing logistical support, and much more. In so doing, it is pursuing war against Russia in the same way that it waged war against Germany 1915-1917 and 1940-1941. Measured by the percentage of money and manpower, it was the primary way that America contributed to Germany’s defeat in both wars. (The destruction of Germany by the U.S. 8th Air Force may have been nearly as significant.)
Unless and until Russia finds a way to inflict serious pain and deprivation upon America’s elite (a significant part of whom are closely related to significant parts of the elites of Russia, Ukraine, Israel and the United Kingdom) the United States will have no incentive to end this war against Russia.

It is a miracle that Gonzalo Lira is still alive. I would trust that he will safely return to Russian-protected territory and resume his videos.
It is so refreshing to read your narrative, I have become a little despondent lately after all the territorial losses by our magnificent forces who are fighting NAZI-ism all by our selves.
It is a very lonely battle; just us and Belarus verse Poland, Germany, France, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Hungary, Czech, Slovakia, UK, Japan, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand and even Switzerland, Sweden and Finland!
It is a very lonely battle for the good of the world and we will be strong, OK so Ukraine has turned out to be determined and reluctant to accept our advances of securing them back into the Russian fold.

I follow your blog and I agree on many viewpoints given in your blog.
Your blog is for me a very important soruce of alternative views and dissections of the current confusion caused in this world by the idiots that you name again and again.
However, as much as I can understand your contempt for the politicians of Western Europe and as much as I share it, i would like to point out, that you should formulate it differently.
What I mean, is that you should make a differentiation.
– There are those at the top, i.e. v.d. Leyen, Borrell, Macron, Draghi, Scholz, Johnson, Tusk, Morawiecki, Stoltenberg, Merkel and their helpers in the mainstream press and subordinated bodies of authority, who are directly responsible for the deep shit that we are in now.
– And there are the ordinary people of the Western European countries, whom these gangsters have ridden into this situation that is indeed beyond any hope.
Indeed, the majority of the population is beyond stupid and they are all too lazy to use the means of getting more than just one brain-washing information I can see this here in my own family and I am despaired about this situation.
But still I think, the number of thinking people is greater than you think and i would not like to be addressed by the contempt that you expressed for the whole of Western Europe in your comment.
I truly hope, that indeed BEFORE May 9th 2022 this whole calamity will be over and a piece will be negotiated.
It can also only be hoped, that the MIC of the United States will collapse rather sooner than later and that the Americans get a president, who is worth of being put into that job and who is not interested in unilateral, hegemonial, imperialistic foreign policy, but in a peaceful cooperation of the nations of this world.

Facts:
1) NATO leaders make openly belligerent statements about Russia.
2) Russia has failed to quickly carry out a disarmament and regime change operation in Ukraine.
3) Rocket and air strikes have not caused catastrophic damage to Ukraine’s army, demoralized it, or led to mass arms surrender.
4) Ukraine and NATO countries began to benefit as they gained time to mobilize reservists, train them, and move troops.
5) Troops of NATO countries are accumulating near the border of Poland and Ukraine. It is also possible in Romania with the possibility of rapid redeployment through Moldova to the border with Ukraine.
6) Possible entry of NATO troops into Ukraine.
7) Possible aggravation of the situation in Transnistria and other places that will require a military response from Russia.
8) Russian troops are not enough to establish and maintain control over Ukrainian territory.
Conclusions:
Unless some extra-original event occurs, Russia will begin to mobilize reservists.
An extraordinary event could be, for example, the appearance in Ukraine of some strong leader who would ensure the neutrality of the army or its use against the existing regime. Or the neutralization of any Ukrainian or NATO leader. Or mass popular unrest in NATO countries because of the economic situation, for political reasons. In general, something that would quickly and severely weaken Ukraine and NATO countries.
This commentary is not an analysis. It’s just a feeling I have. Or intuition, which can be deceptive. The main thing is the possible mobilization of reservists in Russia.

So maybe Russian information warfare hasn’t been so bad after all.
First, label your opponents with a deeply truthful and revealing kill shot: ‘Empire of Lies.’
