This will function as an open thread on the SMO in the Ukraine.
To start it off, we look at the early morning Russian Mod Report, in parsed form:
Briefing by Russian Defence Ministry

To my count the Ukronazi military manpower losses touches on +- 800 for one day. I think the Russian MoD is undercounting, in an attempt to be accurate for the day.
Kindly use as open thread. A lot has happened on the front lines, but you may agree with me that at this pace of attrition, this phase cannot continue on for much longer. Something has to give.
WHAT’S NEXT
The world after anti-Russian sanctions (not a forecast, it’s reality)
1- A number of global supply chains will collapse and a major logistical crisis could arise, including the collapse of foreign airlines that will be banned from flying over Russian airspace.
2- The energy crisis will deepen in countries that have imposed sanctions on Russian energy supplies, fossil fuel prices will continue to rise, and the development of the digital economy in the world will slow down.
3- There will be an international food crisis, leading to famine in some countries.
4 – A monetary and financial crisis is possible in some countries or groups of countries, combined with undermining of the stability of some national currencies, runaway inflation and the destruction of the legal system protecting private property.
5 – New regional military conflicts will arise where the situation has not been resolved peacefully for many years or where the important interests of major international players are ignored.
6 – Terrorists, who believe that the Western authorities’ attention is now distracted by the confrontation with Russia, will become more active.
7 – New epidemics will break out, caused by a lack of international cooperation on health and epidemiological issues or caused by the proven use of biological weapons.
8 – International institutions, which have not proved their effectiveness in resolving the situation in Ukraine, such as the Council of Europe, will lose their importance.
9 – New international alliances will be formed, based on Anglo-Saxon criteria that are pragmatic rather than ideological.
10 – As a result, a new security architecture is being created which recognises:
(a) the weakness of Western concepts of international relations such as “rules-based order” and other meaningless Western rubbish;
(b) the collapse of the idea of an America-centric world;
(c) the existence of internationally respected interests of those countries in sharp conflict with the Western world.
In the following post Medwedev says that all of this is not just a forecast, but is a process already underway.
“but you may agree with me that at this pace of attrition, this phase cannot continue on for much longer. Something has to give” [emphasis mine]
Totally agree Amarynth.
What we need now is Ukraine’s unconditional surrender and Zelensky & his entourage captured & arrested by defiant Ukie forces and handed over to the Ruskies to be tried for Crimes Against Humanity.
And then carve Ukie territory up like it was a Christmas Day roast turkey – first in, first served, and may the devil take the hindmost!
The collapse / capitulation / cleansing of Ukraine won’t change anything. The SMO is against the US and NATO, and it will continue until the objectives have been achieved. As the US and its NATO puppets are not agreement capable there is no reason for Russia to talk to them. When your enemy is trying to hang himself, offer more rope.
Lead by example. Absolutely brilliant how Russia has not bullied “allies”, weaponized resources, or ignored international law. Most of the world knows exactly what is going on, and probably half or more of citizens in the west do, to.
Many years ago I was told that Germany, the powerhouse of Europe, would join the Russian nation in a partnership. I now believe that will come about as I see the EU coming apart and Nato unable to be a force on it’s own.
Germany has no choice. The Anglo-American bankers are demanding that Germany, and in fact, all of continental Europe commit suicide.
It’s Anglo-American in name only. They are but the latest host – of ancient corruption.
I pray they will be the last.
To prevent German Russian cooperation has been main for centuries.
On energy costs expect much German firms move to Russia.
The big question is: does Russia still want them. The Main Media is full of hate towards Russia and so are 80 % of the Germans. Too many of them are still Nazis.
Also they are too much influenced by the US. They are the perfect US vassels.
Fun fact, the actual nazis, neo nazis in germany are probably not anti russia at all.
i do understand what you mean, regarding the extremidt mentality. Just nazi isnt the right expression.
Those of us who served in the US Armed Services, caught on rather quickly about the nature of NATO, and it’s rat lines of bases for smuggling and trafficking. Believe me when I tell you, it has very little to do with defending Europe, and everything to do with lining pockets and maintaining the imperial machinations of the ruling class. Same as it ever was, same as it ever was.
Trump failed to drain the Washington swamp, but maybe the SMO will do it by prodding the American people into forcing their elite to abandon woke progressivism.
The problem is not woke progressivism (although that is indeed a problem), it is financial militarism.
“Trump failed to drain the Washington swamp”
Let me rephrase this. Trump failed to fulfill promise from election campaign to drain the swamp. He made that promise because it was will of at least 80 million Americans, probably much more even among anti-Trumpets. That will still exists, with, or without Trump.
It was highly unlikely that member of bilionare country club will harm denizens of DC swamp. Stirring the mud and keeping whatever floats out is entirely different matter.
The only way for Americans to drain the swamp, is to revolt and do it themself. With the leader chosen among “deplorables”, not some dubious oligarch. If re-elected, Trump will just delay that for 4 more years with empty promisses.
Well I am one of them in the West!
A Poll out today shows 56% of Americans believe it is a better scenario to have Biden removed, than the 43% who are for Putin’s removal. These are Americans being asked! Incredible, but I feel the same way, and I’m American.
After combat operations end in Ukraine, you can bet your last cent that Putin will send out overseas intelligence to track down, capture, arrest, and come home with Zelinsky in custody…. along with the oligarchs. Simultaneous raids on all of them.
It will be epic.
And the ZUSA has created the precedent for unlawful kidnappings, renditions as they Orwellian name them.
So when they criticise Russia for doing the same their bleating will fall on deaf ears and they will be reminded what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
Reply : Dirk Manly
Spot on. However Putin may just email a list of “Persons of interest.’’ No gas, no oil and factories/business closing down will enrage the beast within. Blue and yellow flags, pins and badges destined for the land fill.
Putin needs to get Kolomoisky and his cronies. This is Zelensky’s boss. Pinchuk, Bugolyubov and Akhmetov.
I think Akhmetov who is a Muslim may be okay and friendly towards Russia. Novynskyi may be okay too.
Here is the list.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukrainian_oligarch
@Tomo.
From your wiki Link: “Oligarchs are usually defined as businessmen having direct influence on both politics and the economy. During the 1990s, the oligarchs emerged as politically-connected entrepreneurs who started from nearly nothing and got rich through participation in the market via connections to the corrupt — but democratically elected — government of Ukraine during the state’s transition to a market-based economy. Later, numerous Ukrainian business-people have “taken over control” of political parties (examples of this are Party of Greens of Ukraine, Labour Ukraine and Social Democratic Party of Ukraine (united)[1]) or started new ones to gain seats and influence in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament).
The rise of the oligarchs has been connected to the processes of privatization of state-owned assets. These processes usually involved the distribution of property titles of such enterprises, land, and real estate, on equal base to the whole population of the country, through instruments such as privatization vouchers, certificates, and coupons. Given the different preferences of people in relation to risk-aversity, property titles were easily re-sold. Businessmen who could provide initial investment capital were able to collect those property titles and thus take control over former public holdings. ”
For “Ukraine” read “the Globe”.
To be fair, there are a large number of American oligarchs that need to be eliminated as well. The US is an absolute Oligarchy in the real sense of the word and it is a worldwide existential problem that has to be dealt with. Obviously, the American people are incapable of it, so it will have to come from external pressures. Only China and Russia are capable of this but it would require bringing a major war home to the US mainland for the first time in its history.
I can envision a scenario where Russia forces the US to re-deploy all its forces to Europe and then China takes on the Taiwan issue and attacks the US from the west. Most people are unaware that the actual gunfighter strength of the US military is in the neighborhood of 87,000 soldiers including the National Guard. The rest are all support forces and very weak to fight with most barely qualifying annually and basic training is not sufficient to be functional in a real war. If all are deployed outside the US there will be zero effective forces in the mainland to mount any kind of defense.
Kolomoisky’s criminal activities in the US are documented in two recent exposés by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette newspaper. They are online at https://www.post-gazette.com/news/crime-courts/2022/02/20/Ihor-Kolomoisky-US-banks-warren-ohio-steel-plant-ukraine/stories/202202200063 and https://newsinteractive.post-gazette.com/dirty-dollars-2/
Kolomoisky is now banned from entering the United States. Interestingly, the infamous obstructionist Senator Manchin (D-WV) is one of several American politicians named by the Post-Gazette as lobbying in behalf of the Ukie gangster’s American schemes, one of which resulted in the bankruptcy of an Ohio steel mill, costing hundreds of Americans their jobs.
The Russian army is truly fighting in Ukraine for far more than just the civil rights of ethnic Russians in that godforsaken citadel of corruption and ethnic hatred.
Yes. It’s an Organized Crime Cartel of only 300 “invisible” Satanists that rule this planet.
What we need is a complete collapse of the UK and USA, dissolution of the Union, and elimination of the UN, IMF, BIS, and World Bank, plus a debt jubilee for the entire world.
True… but The Creditors will become very, very upset.
‘I think the Russian MoD is undercounting, in an attempt to be accurate for the day.’
I think any such “embarrassment of success” would probably be a first for the entire history of any country’s combat reporting. The Russian MoD report’s “action groupings” make it a just bit difficult to be absolutely certain about adding up all of the individual numbers, but assuming that they are all additive certainly does make the total seem like outright slaughter and unsustainable for any extended period. One can only hope that the Ukraine’s commanders and troops in the field can find some way to end it very soon for their own sake. Relying on their “commander in chief” and his “advisers” to do so would appear to be an exercise in utter futility.
I would need to know how Russian MoD works before declaring it accurate or otherwise. In the Vietnam war the US left it up to the local low level commanders to self report. Wanting to make their outcomes look good, they overreported their results. And apparently (??) after that it got ballooned up bigger. The political class doesn’t always want to hear the truth. If they want accurate data, the American method is to have an inelegance agency send men in along with the troops.
But even if Ukrainian losses were half of what is reported by the MoD, c. 400 men per day, for example, they would be catastrophical anyway, representing the loss of well over a brigade everyweek, possibly 2.
Something HAS to give.
I have first-hand, personal knowledge of counting casualties in Vietnam. Was an operations officer at brigade level in the 101st Airborne infantry. I compiled the casualty statistics for more than 8 months in 1968-69.
Enemy casualties were under-counted, especially because of the absence of whole bodies in areas after massive air strikes and artillery barrages. POWs, Chieu-Hois (surrenders) and our casualties were carefully assessed.
Intelligence personnel were never sent into the field. Vietnam was small unit jungle warfare, Nothing larger than an infantry company was choppered into an LZ.
Our method of operation was simple: Find the enemy. Pull back. Put the shit on them. This seems to be what the Russians are doing – but in far superior manner with electronics, drones and very precise bombardment. Like the Russians, we had total air and artillery supremacy.
Using Andrei’s y÷x=lots of dead Ukrainians, looking at the accuracy of Russian munition, they know what they are firing at, average operators and support staff required. Save for the few suffering from deatomization, the RF counts will be fairly accurate.
Watching the sea launch of eight Kalibars from one vessel yesterday, very impressive, frightening for those on the receiving end, so the deatomized count may be, very likely is, higher.
Cheers M
I had this argument often with the confused YouTubers. Russia has one unique ability that Ukraine does not posses. Because they are taking territory, they claim all the land that KIA’s are in and are in a position to accurately count both sides losses. Ukraine in losing land really has no idea as to whether someone hit was wounded or killed and has no bodies to prove it as they lose the land.
At the end of the day, Ukraine commanders each day just have a smaller force to fight with, and unless soldiers evac wounded, they don’t know why other troops disappeared, be it KIA, wounded and left behind or surrendered.
Evidently, you weren’t there in 1965 for the Ia Drang Valley fiasco. Two whole battalions of the 101st were choppered in, and they were engaged by a large NVA force. One battalion (the movie one) suffered 40% casualties, half dead. The other suffered 80% casualties, again half dead. Neither battalion was fit for combat for some time afterwards.
It is believed the NVA suffered large losses at the Ia Drang, but no body count was remotely possible. In any event, the NVA won the battle and were left in possession of the battle field.
There were no reliable body counts of Viet Cong or NVA dead at any time in the war. Moreover, any number of battles ended like the Ia Drang. The Army choppered in, killed a bunch of people and suffered severe losses, and then it left, and the enemy reoccupied the area.
4 years later in May 1969, Hamburger Hill went down. That fiasco thanks to 3/101 Bat commander LTC Honeycutt who employed John Wayne tactics. His troops put a cash bounty on his head.
I was with the 2/101 some 20 miles away at FSB Whip in the A Shau. We operated very conservatively and got good results with low casualties.
Then, the 1/101 got pulled out of the field on verbal orders and sent to Tam Ky (Americal Division AO). They were in the process of being overrun. The 1/101 units were choppered in piecemeal and crucified. The NVA had concrete reinforced bunkers and rendered every chopper inoperable with interlocking heavy machine gun fire on day 1. Second set of heavy casualties for the 101st. Info about that rescue engagement was totally suppressed.
This was at the height of troop build-up. 3 weeks later in June, Nixon announced the withdrawal from Vietnam. I left in August 1969. The 101st was then just marking time – no more heavy engagements.
Our operation never focused on keeping territory. Our big job was to prevent a re-occurrence of TET in Hue. The AO of the 2/101 was about the size of CT.

The US war criminals here retelling their illegal actions in Viet Nam are bordering on bragging.
Personally I would be ashamed to even admit I was there.
Scum. Save your bragging for the odious Stars and Stripes rag.
We were raised to trust “the government” and the USSR was evil and communism was spreading. We had no other source of information. Better the devil you know than the other one, so we did what we were told and you can kiss my ass. I bet the Russian troops don’t get the whole story either except they actually have leaders who care about them.
It is said that the combat was so intense that loads of those American war chimps went insane during and after the battle. I’m sure loads of them were some of the first waves of homeless in US cities.
We were not “chimps” and the Vietnam vets did not become the waves of homeless that are all over the US today. There were some, very few, who became addicts in Vietnam. But, we are in our late seventies now. It is the drugged out products of the “government school system” of the nineties who won’t hold a job day after day who are shitting all over the place now.
As far as i know it is the same story for Iraq and Afghanistan. There were very few other news sources then and our wonderful media propaganda was playing the tune that really horrible people were there who needed to be killed plus the utter BS that the Jewish massacre of 3,000 people on 9/11 was somehow the fault of the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. These are not the homeless either, it’s the shiftless who learned nothing useful in school, most of all how to show up for work on time day after long day.

That’s what he said…

The doctrine used in 1968-69 was one adopted precisely because the WW2-style doctrine employed in 1965 didn’t work.
That being said, the biggest problem in Vietnam: EVERY single significant U.S. Army officer in Vietnam was a veteran of the disastrous Hurtgen Forest campaign, the one and only campaign in which progress was evaluated by body counts (because they were NOT making any headway). How disastrous was the Hurtgen Forest Campaign?
Remember that in the opening of the Battle of the Bulge was the 28th Infantry Division getting hit with the brunt of the German force. 28 ID was SUPPOSED to have been off the line in rest and refit, getting replacements and training them up to go on the line. But there was a shortage of divisions, so 28 ID was instead put into “a quiet sector” on the line.
Why was 28 ID in such bad shape? Because they had just spent 2 weeks in Hurtgen forest and had suffered horrendous losses. Over 50% overall, and some companies taking total losses exceeding 100% strength (because they were losing men as fast as replacements were being fed in… not because the company commanders were bad, but because the entire Battle for Hurtgen forest was a giant Goat-F***).
The “lesson learned” by the young lieutenants and captains who would go on to become division and theater commanders in Vietnam (including Captain Westmoreland, who became the General Westmoreland)
So how bad was Hurtgen Forest?
The Battle for Hurtgen Forest lasted for SIX MONTHS, longer than any other American Army operation in the European/North African theaters of operations. In his memoirs about the war, Eisenhower devoted exactly two sentences to the subject. The second one reads, “It was a mistake.” Such a horrible error in judgement that Eisenhower didn’t even want to discuss it.
And then Westmoreland and his Corps and Division commanders went on to repeat Hurtgen Forest on a theater-level scale.

From the mod:
Please continue this discussion in the Moveable Feast Cafe. Thanx.
Even West Point has admitted later that some 1/3 of American body count may have matched to real losses of NLF/NVA.
According Charles Hirschman, Samuel Preston and Vu Manh Loi total Vietnamese casualties were 968,000 +/- 80,000 of which around 350,000 were civilians and much more than 200,000 were soldiers of US supported Saigon regime soldiers.
Let’s remember that Preston, Hirschman and Manh Loi have made scientific study bases on large scale field work in 40 provinces. They mentioned that with error margin (80,000) it’s pretty sure that not even 1,1 milloin Vietnamese people deceased during 1965-75 war and 1975-76 aftermath.
Numbers are revealing that US war machine was not near as effective killing enemy soldiers as myth makers have claimed.
Considering the amount of bombing the US did in Vietnam (more than all WWII, Europe and Pacific theaters), the death toll had to be 2 million Vietnamese.
Given that the CIA’s Phoenix assassination program killed 130,000 in just a brief time, a war for a dozen or so years conducted with the weapons the US had, it is a non-starter to accept the 1995 numbers of Charles Hirschman, Samuel Preston and Vu Manh Loi.
The TET offensive, in 100+ cities, cost Viet Cong 70,000, 25,000 civilians. The battles lasted a month or so but most of it was in a few major cities, like Hue.
So, we can see that a war that raged on for more than a decade certainly killed 2 million Vietnamese. Revisionism is rampant as the US and the West tries desperately to spin a new version of its history.
And then there’s the bombing of Laos and Cambodia. Numbers of deceased were never taken seriously. US bombing casualities in Cambodia have been erroniosly ascribed to Pol Pot (this from Andre Vltchek).
The Russians rely on many sources and methods for identification of targets: satellite imagery, drones, locals reporting by telephone, even social media…and their own troops…The post-operation observation is mainly by locals reporting in the results, drones, and Russian troops as well as satellite imagery. Obviously where an artillery strike involves longer distance, the evaluation is by friendly local Ukie support and satellite imagery. True enough, not all bodies can be found when there is so much rubble and fragmentation, but it certainly results in under-counting, rather than exaggeration. Having said that the general impression that i get from my Ukie friends is that the Russians are professional and methodical and not prone to excess. Killing your own brothers is not something that merits boastfulness, more like sadness at the madness…
Is it possible that drowns are being used for county casualties as well as locating potential casualties??
Conscription of 18-60 males via the Press Gang mode, street, house to house, swimming pools, nudist camps, gas station queues, now the 60-70 year old males; after that, adult females (excepting gestating or with young children), and even the disabled “with permission” (!!!) are on the list.
Zelenskiy won’t stop until he either runs out of citizens or his own blood.
It is almost too difficult to believe.
Medvedev’s 10 points all seem quite plausible to me, and already occuring in real time. I fully agree with his nomination of the Council of Europe (point 8) as a failed international (security) organisation, but I would also mention the EU as such, notably it’s European External Action Services (EEAS). Could this be because Medvedev still sees the EU as a viable counterpart?
Further, re. point “9 – New international alliances will be formed, based on Anglo-Saxon criteria that are pragmatic rather than ideological.” What does Medvedev mean with Anglo-Saxon criteria?
Alastair Crooke puts it succinctly –
The World Doesn’t Work That Way Anymore
https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2022/06/06/the-world-doesnt-work-that-way-anymore/
Briefly, the Newton-AdamSmith-Locke way of the Anglo’s gives way to Friedrich List(refuted Smith), Leibniz(refuted Locke). I add that Newton did not discover Calculus(Leibniz did) and his biographer Lord Maynard Keynes wrote Newton was not he first scientist, rather the last Magi.
So Crooke writes, 3 pillars all fall together, interconnected. Whether Medvedev knows some of this – I firmly believe Glazyev does know, and as EAEU coordinator regularly discuses economics.
Strategic Culture has been banned in my location, west coast of Canada. Is there another web site that Alastair’s weekly columns appear cause I can’t find them.
Use a VPN. Not only can you access forbidden cites you can do it privately.

Thank you Francois for the info. It was greaaaaaat.
Tanx, appreciate it
Try TOR browser for a workaround. Having skimmed over the article, there is more sauce than meat in it, and I consider the reasoning misconceived. The world order does not work simply since it has been utterly corrupted. The word makes not a single appearance in the article. I maintain Locke is irrefutable, by the way.
I get SC with a vpn. I also use the Yandex dns on one machine. (Russian DNS server, I am in the US) Simpler (cheaper I pay for a good vpn) though is to install Telegram and join the Strategic Culture channel. When a new article comes by, you select it, and an encrypted web page is sent to your web browser and appear on a new tab. The posts take longer to appear here however.
There are times when there is extreme DNS attacks on SC and the only way to read the newest articles is via telegram. They also had to do major revisions to their IT since the commencement of the SCO. Clearing the cache of your browser can help immensely.
And also today I had problems because I used a search engine to go to it a and it went to https://www.dev.strategic-culture.org/ I got 404’s. However https://www.strategic-culture.org/ is working for me today on web
Best of luck.
Download and install the TouchVPN add-on to your browser, change the location to e.g. Russia, and enjoy the sites: http://www.strategic-culture.org, ukraina.ru, southfront.org, voltairenet.org etc.
Would suggest surfshark…
al said: “Strategic Culture has been banned in my location, west coast of Canada.”
Works for me, but I’m in the interior. I use Presearch if that helps? And why would it be banned and by whom?
Thanks bonbon. Yes, it was a good read.
Use a VPN, as others suggested. But in these times it seems fitting to use Kaspersky, 200 MB free each day without choice of server. I always had servers in Zone A so that was useless so I switched to the paid version, they are amongst the cheapest and with servers in loooots of countries. No hic-ups, works as you would expect.
I’ve been trying a lot of different VPNs lately and the hic-up free mode seems rather rare among VPNs.
@bonbon
This web page quote summarizes my understanding of the origins of Calculus from my Math undergraduate days…
“When studying Newton and Leibniz’s respective manuscripts, it is clear that both mathematicians reached their conclusions independently. While they were probably communicating while working on their theorems, it is evident from early manuscripts that Newton’s work stemmed from studies of differentiation and Leibniz began with integration. They thus reached the same conclusions by working in opposite directions.”
https://www.oxfordscholastica.com/blog/newton-and-leibniz-the-fathers-of-calculus/
Keynes was never a Newton biographer, he collected Newton’s manuscripts. He wrote one essay and made numerous lectures. As for Keynes “observations”, curious Saker readers would be better served by the full quote:
“Newton was not the first of the age of reason. He was the last of the magicians, the last of the Babylonians and Sumerians, the last great mind which looked out on the visible and intellectual world with the same eyes as those who began to build our intellectual inheritance rather less than 10,000 years ago. Isaac Newton, a posthumous child born with no father on Christmas Day, 1642, was the last wonderchild to whom the Magi could do sincere and appropriate homage.”

Most likely he’s talking about the western lead institutions. The UN, the EU and so on.
AUKUS = hocus pocus, its actually China that will pay for Oz nuclear subs to be built, but only if it purchases Oz iron ore, coal, gas and gold.
Within a year or two, China will no longer need any minerals from Australia, New iron ore mines are opening soon in Russia and West Africa that will free up enough iron ore so China will not be dependent on Australia. Certainly, China is not dependent on Australian coal. As of now, China imports raw material from Australia because its nearby and relatively cheap, but that could all change if Australia starts “making waves” against China.
It will happen but not in 2 years. You don’t build iron ore mines and the required infrastructure in that time line. Huge logistics needed to move the ore and deliver it to the customer. China is set up to receive sea borne ore and coal, Russia has no ability to move it in that way which means other methods have to be developed. That will take time.
As for Africa, good luck, its a grave yard for resource projects. As soon as its built, the Government wants more, as soon as its profitable a war lord pops up and attacks the mine and before you know it, there is just a giant hold in the ground with rusting material all round it.
As for coal, China is not self sufficient in any form. All they have done is taken supply from elsewhere, which has pushed thermal coal prices to record highs with met coal not far behind. Met coal is very hard to find. And whilst this goes on Australia is pushing hard on hydrogen energy and ‘green’ steel. I think you will find Australia knows its coming to an end.
You have it wrong, it is USUKA.
Pronounced “You Sucker”.
Meaning that the “sucker” in this deal is Australia.
Very much doubt those nuclear subs will ever be built. They’ll run out of money and/or stall with supply chain issues.
They needed to get out of the French sub contract because the budget was out of control.
They may lease some old UK/US subs for a while for show, then it will quietly fade into the dustbin of history.
Australia needs submarines like fish need bicycles! I think your assessment is correct. If Australia was really interested in submarines they would have not sacked almost every engineer/scientist that knew anything about ASW, submarines, and submarine weapon systems.
G’day Crispy, Fred and ram,
I agree.
Australia does not need naval submarines and will not get them.
In the new world coming Australians and all nations will ‘turn their navel submarines etc into plough shears’, as the saying goes.
It’s not about if they are needed or not. The newly installed (not elected)PM, AnAL will do as instructed by his masters.
Same as it ever was.
No, we can never counter China with conventional weapons we just don’t have the numbers or industry.
Nukes are the only way. To get here they have to come by sea, nuke them in transit.
A good, concise summary of how the war is going https://whattherussia.wordpress.com/2022/06/01/100-days-of-war-how-russia-is-winning-in-ukraine/
An excellent summary indeed. I especially like the following “wrap-up” of the ongoing conflict parameters, hardly original but certainly concise …
I like to see a citation for the bullet points attributed to PM Medvedev.
Otherwise it’s just the main talking points of the recent WEF & Bildeberg “meet ups” put across with a certain confirmation bias in mind.
Which is in my very humble & bias confirmed opinion correct.
It’s on Medvedev’s Telegram channel. Also he’s started posting really strong, anti-American (as in anti-individual-U.S.-people) posts recently. I don’t know what to make of that, it is certainly not the Russian mentality or President Putin’s.
I don’t understand how the Ukrainian army still keeps fighting under such conditions.
They don’t know the situation and believe the propaganda from Kiev?
They are incredibly tough and stoic?
They are fanatics?
Nationalists have them at gunpoint?
They believe that the Russians will torture them like they torture Russian POWs?
#’s 1,4 & 5. But mainly #4–there is still a better chance of being shot in the back by Azov handlers than Russian artillery–for the tine being.
“I don’t understand how the Ukrainian army still keeps fighting under such conditions.”
In a word John 1 – 8 years of US/NATO training, financing, support, base construction, fortified outposts etc. etc. On top of that, US/UK/NATO officers are running this war for the Ukro side, they have the entire command infrastructure which was not entirely the case 8 years ago. This includes real time intelligence, SIGINT, satellite surveillance, the works. US/NATO have gone all out on this.
Many commentators do not realise the extent & huge lengths to which the US/NATO has gone to prepare the Ukro army for a war with Russia, this is not the Ukro army from 2014-15 that got trapped in Debaltsevo. Also, it is not physically the same army because its ranks have been bloated with foreign mercenaries & volunteers from all over the world, mainly the west though. So this is a very different nut to crack from 2014.
On the other hand, Russia has been going it slow, & doing so for a number of reasons, some of which have been addressed by a variety of analysts, but I will tell you what I personally believe to be the most pressing reason, past Russia wishing to avoid destruction & casualties as much as they can – Russia wishes to contain this conflict on the territory of Ukraine. To do that, it is in Russia’s interests to drag this out. I don’t agree with Amyrinth’s statement that this can not go on for much longer – I believe it can go on for much longer, & it will go on for much longer, because while this war is concentrated in Ukraine, there is less likelihood of an escalation with US/NATO on the international level, leading to potential nuclear conflict. So RF are keeping this in Ukraine, purposefully, intentionally, with good reason.
I have come to the mind set also that a one year or even two year SCO, done slowly to avoid NATO hyperventilating and lashing out is not that bad a strategy. The sanctions huuge effects on Europe and huge effects on usOfa will only increase as time goes by.
” Russia wishes to contain this conflict on the territory of Ukraine.” If that is truly a core strategy of the RF, I say Amen to that. That give the Allies the ability to rebuild and heal the areas that Ukraine loses – rebuild the health care system, the houses, the infrastructure and hopefully healing of the trauma of war that all but especially the young. It is not cynical to have a top notch healing piece by piece instead of a total collapse and chaos. The rest of the world can observe the difference between usOfa restoration- aid a la Iraq and Afghanistan vs Checnya and Ukraine.
The other portion of the will of the Ukranian reserves that got tossed in is the facists behind them that will execute with little to no hesitation. Several articles and podcasts will go into the difficulties of actually surrendering for individuals.
Again, I appreciate your comments Srbalj.
one of “motivation” is-they are on drugs….they just imitate glorious hero- elensky…
It’s not going as badly as this site would have us believe? Keep all options in mind.
Or worse? The RF are probably undercounting to avoid the appearance of a ‘turkey shoot.’
AFU does not collect it’s dead, placing RF into an awkward position of having to do their counting for them. Leaving AFU with a standard “oh no, it’s much, much less than that!” response, and another chance to disinform.
RF’s conservative approach leaves me guessing it’s worse.
@Abelard I’ve seen about a hundred Videos with Ukrainian casualties and short Videos from Russian Missiles hitting Ukrainian buildings, tanks, trucks. So its really not looking good for Ukraine. And according to Zelensky who said something of 100 casualties a day for Ukraine and considering Ukraine always massively downlplayed their losses, I would say it look catastrophic for Ukraine. Rightfully so, f.ck the Ukro-Nazis.
“It’s not going as badly as this site would have us believe”
It’s not going badly at all, & I’m not sure that this site, or the material that appears on this site, has been giving that impression. Certainly questions are being asked, on many different aspects of the SMO, because the SMO itself came as a surprise to many of us – certainly did me, I didn’t see it coming at all – & then once it began, it was not at all clear exactly what the RF forces were doing on the strategic level, there was much that did not make sense. The smoke has cleared away since then somewhat, a lot more is obvious now that wasn’t then. And without meaning to repeat myself, the Russian slow movement makes total sense now, I think it is very clear what they are doing & the strategy will prove to pay off later on.
It doe not take a lot of SigInt to come to a more or less precise count of casualties. Just take under consideration the personnel required to run a tank, one artillery unit, one long range MLRS, and you arrive at a hefty number. A different animal are BTRs and IFV, which can carry from three to 20 or more personnel, considering the ccustom of riding on top of those units, highly likey a visit from a projectile will ruin the day for those folks. Consider another issue, this is trench warfare for the Ukies, a Russian MLRS, a visit by Mr. Buratino will anihilate how many? a plattoon or two, or more? multiply that by the length of Ukie tenches and fortifications, Next you add the urban warfare, more fluid but also with numbers of defenders similar to trenches going up to batallion per larger settlementts, Not all of this are not KIA, but theere will me a larger ratio than western estimates, plus all the wounded and maimed, and PTSD cases. Plus the MIA which Ukrasalem, exaggerates so as not to pay the widows their fair pension. All of this thanks to the military genious of UsaKRAINE.

They are pumped to “the gills” with mind-altering substances – well known practice in American-instigated wars. So, here their “pets” have been WELL supplied to “fight Ruskies”. Those captured are apparently impossible to communicate with for couple of days, at least until this stuff wears out. They are incomrehensible otherwise.
Thanks once again to The Saker team for these continuing sitreps.
Just to add my own little piece, from the Statement of the Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response (June 7, 2022): https://eng.mil.ru/en/special_operation/news/more.htm?id=12424609@egNews
“Federal executive authorities, together with the subjects of the Russian Federation, various public organizations, patriotic movements, continue to accumulate humanitarian aid. More than 31,000 tonnes of basic necessities and food kits, including baby food and life-saving medicines, have been prepared at collection points.
Since March 2, 27,334.7 tons of humanitarian cargo have already been delivered to Ukraine, 1,122 humanitarian actions have been carried out, including 4 actions in Kharkov and Kherson regions, as well as in Donetsk People’s Republic, during which 220 tons of basic necessities, medicines and food were transferred to the civilian population of the liberated areas.
On June 7, 8 humanitarian actions have been planned and are currently being carried out in Kharkov, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, in Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, during which 642 tons of basic necessities, medicine and food will be distributed.”
This is no small effort on its’ own account, requiring commitments of large numbers of personnel, vehicles etc. and perhaps something to be considered by those periodically screaming about “Russia is going too slow!”, “Russia is doing it wrong!” and suchlike. To my eyes at least, the Russian humanitarian and aid efforts stand in stark contrast with the various illegitimate Western operations of recent (and not-so-recent) years.
Andy, yes.
Also, Russia is rebuilding as it goes. Once they drive the Nazis out, some Russians stay behind to restore infrastructure, local government, economics, etc
Look how quickly they got Maruipol de-mined & beginning ops again.
Whereas look at the messes US has left behind.
>Whereas look at the messes US has left behind.
Exactly this.
When have we ever seen a military operation run in parallel with mitigations for the civilian populations in conflict areas? I‘ve certainly never seen such a thing conducted by the West. From reading history books, even during the 1939-45 war areas that were ‘liberated’ still suffered deprivation and starvation, sometimes for years afterwards.
For me, I stand in awe and marvel at the Russian attention and organisation around this aspect and makes the ‘Special Military Operation’ actually special, if not unique.
The Russians will soon have to decide when to break it off.
Do they go for the entire Black Sea coastline and Odessa? A costly operation. Probably months long. They may meet their goals without this burden.
Uproot the Ukie army in the east? I think they must do this. This op will force the US globalist neocons to admit true defeat, and the euros freed of US coercion to keep the war going. It would cement the new understandings. It would fragment NATO. But it may be even costlier and longer than the coastline op. God willing, it could also bring peace and prosperity, if good people arise and do smart things. If that Ukie army gets up and walks home, the last part could start now. Unfortunately, the Russians can offer them no other option than that (besides destruction), if they’re serious about their stated goals.
Lots of diplomacy required with any course. The schemers and fantasists are falling away now. Hopefully more realist types come forth.
Well, I think they need at least 50km wide area without Ukrainian military to make sure Donezk can not be shot anymore. If the US supplies longer range weapons, then more. That is probably more pressing that to get Odessa as collateral damage. Better to get it last without much fighting.
If the SMO is not extended into western Ukraine, the whole war repeats itself in a year or two, against a much better prepared and trained UAF. So there is no possibility of stopping short of a coup that disgorges the Zelensky regime.
I’m guessing that RF strategy prefers the collapse or surrender of Ukraine to take Odessa.
There is no rush to accomplish demilitarization / denazification and in fact time is on Russia’s side. The U$ wants to string this out and the longer they do the worse it is for them and Europe.
The next phase will likely be more direct engagement of NATO and the U$. By that time they will both be in a state of self-imposed collapse and just may be a bit more reasonable. Europe, at least. I have no hope for the cesspool of corruption that is the U$.
The U$ will not admit defeat. They never have and never will. External events will be blamed for internal collapse.
“There is no rush to accomplish demilitarization / denazification and in fact time is on Russia’s side.”
Not what the civilians in Donetsk are thinking who are now being bombed heavily on a daily basis.
And they weren’t being bombed daily for the last 8 years? The concern doth protests too much.
Not this heavily
The Nazification and hostile society came about through folks like Kholomoisky. He and his lieutenants are the ones who need to be removed, not some young guys who fell for the agenda. Failing a removal, they need to be bankrupted and imprisoned, so that their influence becomes minimal.
It is great to get the branches, but Moscow needs to go after the roots as well. And, in the future, the pro-Russia side needs to be represented by better folks than Yanukovich and Medvedchuk. It might be wise to build up some war heroes and get them into politics. If the corruption and general mess in the Russian-controlled part of the country end up about the same as in the rest of the country, it could be seen as a failure.
Knowing that the Empire of Lies has been headed for a brick wall for some time. I wonder if it is intended for the West to lose this war and then blame that(Russia/China) for the problems that were coming anyway.
What does one get from the blame game? People in many countries would attack the US embassy in their country.
More like financial games like welfare for the MIC, soaring commodities prices (set by bankster commodities traders), but for the most part the government is so pathetically stupid – driven to a large extent by the their own propaganda – and corrupt that it is without hope of reform.
The binary theater of the duopoly (Red vs Blue) survives by dividing citizens against each other by income / race / sexual orientation / religion / violence in order to keep them from uniting against their real enemy.
Well, they asked for it, now they got it.

I absolutely love this guy.
No news on losses of foreign fighters but I’m hoping there are loads.
I understand that the Russian National Bank raised interest rates from 10.5% to 20% (?!?). Who runs the Russian National Bank? With Russian’s need to invest in rebuilding, when is the new currency and new banking help coming from? This is economic warfare by the Russian bank on Russia.
The bank is responding to currency flight abroad. Debt holders are risk adverse. If it becomes apparent that Russia is going to get through this in good shape the interest rate will come down. Europe looks worse than we do, so the US should gain by comparisons. Otherwise it surely looks like we are headed for a financial crisis, but probably not soon enough to effect the outcomes in Ukraine.
Russian government debt is 12-18%. Private debt I don’t know, but that too seems to be low.
Compare that to UK with total debt 700%, and
– The Bank of England has raised interest rates to their highest level in 13 years as it looks to tackle the cost of living crisis gripping the UK.
It announced an increase from 0.75 per cent to 1 per cent on Thursday,
Russia 20% and UK 1%
??
Russian increase of interest rate to 20 percent has roughly the same effect on goverment debt as UK’s rise to 1%, as their government debt is more than 40 times larger. (10% is 40× 0.25%)
If UK goes any higher, it will be bankrupt by astronomical amount of money for interest only.
It is possible that both raises are connected in convoluted world of international banking, or forced by the same reasons. Hardly wait to see how this will play out.
BoE decides UK interest level. Assuming UK interes rate is set to 5%, then British banks will make as interest payments.
$2.8 trillion * 7 * 0.05 = $980 billion
British banks will not be bankrupted by +$800 billion in income
Who runs the Russian National Bank?
Answer, the biggest Russian banks and financial institutions, here among Sber Bank the largest in Russia and Eat-Europe.
When Sber bank and other big Russian Financial Institutions ask RNB for something, RNB need to follow through as it cannot allow Russia’s biggest banks and finance to fail.
Russia’s Sber bank is deeply involved in all Western liberal bs, WEF, WHO, Clima, Green Alternative you name it.
Neither Putin nor RNB can dictate terms to Sber Bank without consideration of potential grave consequences.
Maybe Sber Bank is a trojan horse, maybe Sber Bank is “playing along”, maybe Sber Bank is part of the Atlantic 5’th Column in Russia, maybe its just not the time to intervene in Russia’s Bank sector yet.
So far Kremlin has done a lot of splendid judo. I would trust them so far in this issue too. Probably its by purpose Kremlin make RNB look clumsy and dependent on the City of London and Wall Street.
Who knows what goal Sberbank has? My guess is it is an RF bank, printing loads of money for defence
Considering the path we are on & assuming nothing changes! What’s the best place/country or region to be in to avoid chaos? Is there such a place?

The paradise for Israelis is of course Germany. The level of welfare is such it will negate food prices.
Sweden is like Germany. Most pleasant people is tourist countries in Europa?
Economic collapse is rapidly coming for the West. All welfare is going to cease. We will be cinching up our belts on our skinny asses.
Starting point in Jerusalem for some jobless was 20% of income vs. some jobless in Finland. The Finns don’t have to worry about a 100% increase in food prices then. They are protected by state.
Parts of South and Central America, maybe some parts of Africa. Indonesia? Any place that is NOT in the news.
I would love to travel to Russia and see what it is really like.
Africa!
Belarus is probably a good choice. Dyadya Lukashenko takes care of the shop, with his AK and a pitchfork ready for use.
I am a bit sorry about the massive deaths of Ukrainian military manpower, for most of them mobilised off the street. Why should the Jew Zelensky care about the Ukrainian Slav males? I understand that most of the Ukrainians are xenophobic, but still…Wish the Slavs fathom that their enemy is not Russia, but Zelensky.
We have the city dwellers, who are bad soldiers – more like Italians, and then we have the Ukrainian countryside, the favorite type of soldiers for commanders.
When Ukraine have used up their countryside resources it will go downwards?
In Ukraine, Slavic brothers kill each other, it’s like in Spain in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War which fought between the Republicans and the Nationalists.

Have you counted the Ukrainian Sukhoi shot down by the Ukrainian ?
Ukrainian soldiers declared deserters and shot by their political commissars should also be added to the body count.
I think you should add self inflicted wounds in the sitrep. Many ways to die, one way to be dead. My feeling is that many Ukie soldiers are going to die by the action of their “comrades”.
I remember an order in April 1945 to each German. The text admitted that Nazi Germany had received bad blows. The reason given for that situation was that the German were not Nazi enough in the past. If they became more Nazi, the victory will be theirs.
Now, I am expecting the same idea from Ukraine.
Germans died from hunger 10 years after the end of the World War II.
Question for those with Military Knowledge:
Is there any way to shoot down in coming artillery?
Thanks
Due to the low cost of artillery shells vs. aerial intercept weapons, the best thing to do is use radar to track the projectiles back to their artillery. Then use counter battery fire or ground attack aircraft to silence the enemy guns.
Aggressive use of reconnaissance drones can also be helpful in finding enemy artillery before it can be used against your troops.
Thank you but this was more in terms of protecting Donetsk from artillery strikes. Can anything be done?
The only system that I know of that can shoot down artillery rounds is the US LPWS – Phalanx System (20mm Gatling gun). Its used for US installation defense in placed where they could receive rockets or gun rounds. It works pretty good in that role but is limited to how many rounds it cold handle at once. It would take too many systems to defeat a battery or artillery battalion barrage and they are not small – would be hard to protect in a combined arms warfare environment. they would be an easy airstrike from standoff. If there are other systems out there I am unaware.
That was originally a Dutch invention called Goalkeeper developed by Hollandse Signaal and Philips. Nowadays several systems like Phalanx are produced and in use in East and West. Pantsir S1 does the same but is AFAIK not used against artillery shells.
The French Caesar artillery units have arrived in Donbass and are apparently doing a lot of damage. I don’t understand why not more is done to leiminate them
According to independent sources there seems to be many RF personnel losses in Severodonetsk because of unexpected counter attacks by the UA and help they get from their artillery at the 100 meters higher ridge in Lisichansk. Has anyone more info about this, because to me it seems strange that RF command wouldn’t have a solution to that kind of problem?
What is the cost of phalanx ammo magazine on top of wear and tear of it’s mechanical parts? Compared to price of artilery shell? Pantsir rocket can be cheaper. That’s why those systems are only used in protection of high value targets.
Sadly, in War, civians are expendable.
No.
But a force field prevents incoming ;}

Question for those with Military Knowledge:
Is there any way to shoot down in coming artillery?
I think PantSir S1/2 and TOR systems can do it but they are designed to protected specific military posts. It is impossible to provide those systems for civilians under random attacks
To a small degree, what the American Military would call C-RAM (Counter Rocket Artillery and Mortar) the US Army system is based off the Naval Phalanx design. Russia has something similar although not in production. A few other systems worldwide might have some capacity for artillery.
In general it is inefficient to try and shoot down artillery . Maybe a future laser application?
I guess counter-battery artillery would be the best bet along with ground attack jets, helicopters and drones.
I am impressed with the stupidity of the European leaders. The main countries whose have important resources like Russia, Venezuela, China are being sanctioned by west. This is really amazing!!!!
Look, we have been paying 4% for 30 year mortgages and that is why they have been going up in price and are more valuable than they were. At a 20% rate, houses have no value in Russia, nor do Russian tech companies. Russia has been promising a new ruble backed by gold/ commodities which would fetch much lower rates. These changes must be implemented for Russia to rebuild and invest, or China has to start a bank there, or something. Money at 20% is usary. This is Russia’s biggest problem currently – the Russian National Bank is not cooperating with Russia.
So this was only during the capital flight portion of the Western attack. It quickly stabilized at 12% and recently (due to the overwhelming strength of the ruble) is at 9%. Across the whole spectrum of Russian bonds, we’re talking 1 to 20 years it’s only 9%. That is why you’re STILL seeing strength in the ruble. The bonds are paying much more than you can get from other countries and the Russians typically run a current account surplus. That’s money good.
“A lot has happened on the front lines, but you may agree with me that at this pace of attrition, this phase cannot continue on for much longer. Something has to give.”
I rarely disagree with Amarynth, but on this occasion I see it differently, I think RF is grinding this out intentionally, I have posted another comment where I state why I think this is, just to summarize, other than avoided death & destruction as much as humanly possible, I think Russia wishes to avoid escalation with NATO/US by keeping the focus on Ukraine, & this is the main reason above all for grinding this out slow. Like G. Lira said, the Americans get bored & can’t keep their attention focused on anything for long, but at the same time they have committed intel, resources, staff, logistics, to this war, & so they have to keep with it, like it or not. Look for a second at Iraq post 2003 invasion, the insurgency there – especially in the sunni regions like al-Anbar – was far worse than any US officials cared to admit. By 2005 large swathes of Iraq were under insurgent control, the Americans by this time were just looking for a way to pull out – all plans for a Greater Middle East, a Greater Israel, an invasion of Iran which had been planned, all that went out the window. The Russians know exactly what they are dealing with here, & they are playing the Americans like a Goddamned fiddle. When this thing is over, it will be the way Medvedev says, there will be no US hegemony. Russia’s ancestral lands will be returned home, a new fair & just – or fairer – will be in the making.
To add – in order for Europe not to support a long term insurgency war within Europe (something the US have no problems with) the desire to not support it must be there. Today the population of Europe is pro war, pro supporting Ukraine with weapons. In order for this to change one winter has to come, so the Europeans will feel cold, poor and hungry, and overthrow their globalist politicians.
What I am uncertain about is where to find the next batch of politicians, this explains it :
https://thezman.com/wordpress/?p=27519#comments
I don’t think we disagree really Srbalj.
What I am more thinking of, that something has to give, is that the Ukrainian forces cannot continue under this rate of attrition. I don’t expect Russia to change one iota of what they do or what they decided to do.
Even a day or two ago, there were Ukrainian soldiers running .. and swimming across the river. The Russians did not even shoot them, and just allowed them to escape. We may see more and more of that.
“What I am more thinking of, that something has to give, is that the Ukrainian forces cannot continue under this rate of attrition. I don’t expect Russia to change one iota of what they do or what they decided to do. ”
Oh yes, I misunderstood, daft of me really. Yes, I agree with that totally, I can not see the Ukro army lasting much longer, there are many that are surprised at how long they have lasted but that takes us back to what I said earlier, the US/NATO command control over the Ukro army is so tight, that literally they are being forced to fight. Imagine the situation of the average Ukro soldier who is not necessarily a Nazi or ideological, they would probably see the sense in surrendering but are being told that they will be executed if they try – so fight to the death. It is quite the horror story. I mean that literally, I’ll mention G. Lira again, like him, I am horrified by the thought of what those soldiers have been forced into – a fight to the death, against their will. And this, I think, explains why they have lasted so long, much longer than I would have thought possible, I am on board with Amarynth there totally, but it makes sense when you think about it this way. It also explains once again why the Russians, in many instances, are going easy on them & not wasting entire echelons of soldiers when they have the opportunity, they (RF forces) clearly know the situation & know those soldiers have been forced to see this through to the death. It is terrible.
It truly is a horrible situation these poor men have been forced into. If I were in the same spot I would hope for the courage to take out the officers forcing suicide on me. Turn, and take as many of them out as possible. The only thing that enables this, as with any oppression of the majority by a minority, is each person’s fear of being first.
Srbalj,
The Donbass is about to fall like an overripe fruit. Even if the Russians wanted to delay it, it has its own momentum now.
However you raise a point which interests us all. “I think RF is grinding this out intentionally.” I think most would agree with this. And it may not even be due to “avoiding death & destruction as much as humanly possible.” Many other considerations are in play.
We can see some of it is due to:
– only working with 10-15% of total armed forces. Most being saved for NATO and other contingencies. So it takes longer for this reason alone.
– the huge landmass of the Ukraine, Europe’s [former] largest country, which requires time.
– Nearly a decade of NATO arms, stocking and fortifications, and infrastructural imbedding, which takes time. They even burned grain stores in Mariupol on way out!
– getting oil/gas income from the EU, which nicely pays for Op Z
– not scaring away the fence-sitters in Zone B (India, ASEAN..) if they see a too harsh and dominant war-fighting. Also provoking foolish non-conventional escalation from AZE if they are humiliated too quickly. It is a fine balance.
– Destroying most NATO/US weapons being foolishly sent to their destruction right on Russia’s borders. This in effect settles most of WW3 conventional means (for next few years as West now lacks manufacturing and industrial re-arming base) even before it could expand further away from Russia’s borders into E. Europe. And all this using stand-off weapons without wasting Russian lives. This is a dream scenario in progress. As Saker and most analysts taught us in last years, Russia owns the land-war within 1,000 km of its borders. And the suicidal West played right into those strengths.
– demystifying the mystique of the US Armed Forces, now universally recognized to be the organizers, funders and the on-the-ground coordinators of the UkroNazis. This will have huge consequences for lowering its fear-factor, and thereby its continued effectiveness as “the mailed fist underlying the PetroDollar system.” As you succinctly said, “When this thing is over.. there will be no US hegemony.”
– Hanging a political albatross around necks of western pols and technocrats in imminent elections. Lack of fuel, food and comfortable living cannot be forever blamed on a distant failing war.. And imagine the optics of sending $40+ billions to the Ukraine when Americans cannot eat well and cannot afford money for gas.
– Exposing the lying nature of the Western MSM, helping fracture Zone A even more.
– Exposing the lying nature of nazi PR to native Ukrainian Russians, that the west will come to their aid and that Russians are merciless torturing orcs, etc.. which will aid in the denazification process.
– “but at the same time they have committed intel, resources, staff, logistics, to this war, & so they have to keep with it, like it or not.” It could be as you hint as well, to keep US from pulling out and causing other brushfires (in Taiwan for example, or in Iran). So what is the quid-pro-quo with those other civilizations, for using the Ukraine as the killing fields in which to strangle the US armed forces reputation and much of their conventional?
So all things considered, it is in Russia’s interest to prolong the grinding. However, have no fear, even with the Fall of the Donbass, much work remains! The loss of the Donbass will only lead to other fronts being opened up wide.. Odessa, Dnipro, the north, etc.. It is a marathon not a sprint
@And imagine the optics of sending $40+ billions to the Ukraine when Americans cannot eat well and cannot afford money for gas.
But if you politically needed some diversion money, this would sell on the hill pretty quickly.
It could very well be the case that Russia is in no hurry to end the war, because it wants to completely destroy Ukraine’s military capacity and to kill or imprison as many Nazis as possible. This will take time, and negotiating a peace too soon would cut the effort short. Unfortunately, thousands of cannon fodder will die in the process.
Also, destroying Western weapons is fun and games.

11) sanctions will be difficult or impossible to track because of SWIFT and bank sanctions. EU didn’t want the SWIFT ban initially because of this reason. How does anyone find the transactions?
12) crime and social decay will hit EU from millions of desperate Ukrainian refugees. Reports of this already.
13) weapons will freely be scattered across EU and the world, sold from Ukraine. Estimate that only a third of weapons shipped make it to the battlefield !
What would a Javelin do to an LNG ship?
The silence on global vaccine deaths and injuries in not only the Russian Federation but all nations is interesting.

Consider live births dropping off a cliff. Consider disability in working age populations.
If the white hat Russian Federation is all in on slow death what does the special military engagement and de-Nazification mean in practice? More death. Cui Bono? Not the Russian Federation. https://edwardslavsquat.substack.com/p/russia-and-the-eternal-pandemic?s=r
Indeed, disability and death numbers are rising fast and according to serious studies only about 1% of the cases gets registered to VAERS and in the EU only about 6% at best to the EudraVigilance database. Even many (most) doctors seem to suffer from cognitive dissonance and do not seem to understand why so many of their clients/patients have fallen ill, lost babies, are suddenly dying of aggressive cancers or dropped dead altogether.
Most EU governments are considering to try again to vax the unvaxxed and aim at young children coming autumn. We should hang the criminals.

Anyone out there who thinks that this is a temporary thing, and that life will get back to normal after Russia is defeated, is in for a very bad existence when they realize hat their delusions won’t come true. They better buckle up, and get ready for a very different world.
The Ukrainians escaped Ukraine to the West as the Ukrainian Khaazars long ago and now rule in DC and rule the wholw West. So in a way Ukraine has won no matter what Russia does because the one thing Russia doesn’t have the balls to do is take these Ukrainian Khaazars out, as evidenced by it not nuking Davos when most of them were gathered there for the World Evil Factory meetings about making the whole earth renters who own nothing but rent everything from their Ukrainian Khaazar overlords. Russia is simply not serious about stopping the Ukrainian menance.
YES,, This Khazar – Ashkenazi, connection is rarely mentioned in our current affairs . It is very important since a majority of Jewish people today come from the Khazar Empire who had adopted Judaism as their religion .
I don’t know any war where enemy losses has claimed to be lower than their actual losses. More commonly enemy losses has been exaggerated by ratio of 2:3, 1:2, 1:3 or even 1:4. Russian MoD hardly makes exception. Best accuracy got with numbers of POW which is natural thing of course. 6,500 Ukie soldiers captured but when it comes to killed/deceased the truth will be between 4,000 to 30,000.
The war makes some people to monsters and some true heroes. It is very important to keep the morale as high as possible in the war times.
Here is beutiful singer from Donbass, she has a song letter to the Ukrainian soldiers in prison camps.

I don’t read much about the now daily Nuclear Threats being made on Russian state TV.
with the delivery of MLRS, decision making centers can be eliminated.
This operation could have been over without the relentless NATO weapons deliveries
During Finnish Russo Winter War Kremlin claimed to have killed over 60,000 Finnish soldiers already until mid Feb 40. In fact Finns had lost until that stage 14,000 soldiers killed. Molotov mentioned after the war that 48,000 Red Army soldiers had died. Finns estimated “at least” 200,000. In early 1990s Krivosheev published Soviet military losses been 126,000 killed. In 2013 Pavel Petrov based on database located in Russia that 167,976 Soviet soldiers deceased during 105 days Winter War. Most reliable loss figures are at least 150,000.
Final Finnish military losses including soldiers who died on wounds after the war (1940-85) were little bit over 26,000.
As we can see it’s most likely that exaggerating enemy losses is far more likely result than presenting loss figures lower than real enemy losses.
Donesk is purposefully being shelled daily to kill civilians.
Yet, Russia still leaves Western Cities untouched ?
As far as Livov and Kiev are concerned there’s not even a war taking place. All the civilian deaths are taking part in the Russian speaking part of Ukraine.
assuming it’s THE dmitry medvedev one has to wonder why he didn’t see some of this developing when he was ostensibly in charge for a few years. as said, it’s all happening and visible to anyone paying attention. yet no reversals from the US/NATO solipsists.
the silver lining is the whole “believe someone when they tell you who they are” aspect; many countries who previously had delusions that the west cared about them in any way, shape or form now know the score. the problem with saying “with us or against us” is that acting like stupid a__holes 24/7 only leaves one choice when it gets tiresome.
africa knows damn well how much “concern” the US has for it. ditto south america. a lot of new enemies and a lot of missing weapons…what could go wrong?
Whatever one’s opinion of Dmitry Medvedev may be, Putin placed him above Patrushev in the Security Council of the Russian Federation, so that the rumors in the press about Patrushev being the most likely successor of Putin don’t even “pass muster.” The “Chairman” of the Security Council is President Putin. Below him is Medvedev as the “Deputy Chairman”, a position created by Putin in January-2020, and below Medvedev is Patruchev as the “Secretary” (Wikipedia).
So, one must assume that the declarations of Medvedev have Putin’s approval. They must be meeting these days everyday too. I think the formal successor of Putin is someone else, but it looks like it could be Medvedev again. I thought “Deputy” was deputy of Patrushev not of Putin! I will read him differently now.
Here we are … This is not an eddy, but it is a waterspout. The news cycle is changing and the NYT is the bullhorn. We know now, the west is going to blame the Ukraine itself. It is not west fault, but it is that darned Ukraine! These bastards lie like loons (what is a loon? I just heard that expression but have no idea what a loon is!)

The “puppet” theorists are being left on offside by Zelensky. If it doesn’t look, walk and sound like a duck – it’s not. He is chastising the West for asking him to compromise on the Donbass and Crimea, for saying that Russia must not be “humiliated” (Macron), and more. He says they are sending him weapons but that at the same time they don’t want him to really win because they want a compromise. If he doesn’t want to share that military info. anymore, it’s understandable. He has been like this always, very independent.
1939:
meaningless Polish provocations on Germans … to favor British war plans
2022:
meaningless Ukranian provocations on Russians … to favor British war plans
We haven’t had a historian of the quality of Edward Gibbon in at least a hundred years. As a result, it’s all like virgin territory; you might as well look at the raw data and be your own historian. Britain is the “puppet” today, not Ukrainians, so Britain had no such war plan. 1939: Chamberlain and his ambassador in Germany did all they could to avoid the war; they were not wishing for a war with Germany!
UK declared war on German hours after Hitler invaded Poland, as a respons to Polish attacks on Germans in the Baltic area. First UK had made a (meaningless) treaty with Poland. Then Stalin attacked Poland and Churchill told that was not a violation of anything.

A loon is a type of bird just like on the Canadian Looney. The word is also use in at least Canada to describe a person who is crazy, silly, or strange.
“loon” is phonetic short-hand for “lunatic” …..
just mis-spelled “loon” to retain the same sound as the first syllable of LUNatic.
Wrong. And a quick search will show you that.

US insists that US intelligence knew everything about China Xinjiang human rights abuses, down to gang rapes and tortures. Even though they didn’t have on the ground agents and they could not provide any convincing evidence.
After US had been providing financial supports since 2004 to Ukraine and is giving away $60 billions US tax payers’ money in May, 2022, now, NYT, you say US intelligence had not known Ukraine’s plans?
US Ukraine project failed spectacularly. May be, by your ignorance assertion, you are shifting US State Department’s monumental mistakes to this nebulous “intelligence” community?
The sanctions policies of the US/EU are quite clearly damaging their economies and fueling the inflationary fires started by the massive money printing operations of the US Federal Reserve and other Western central banks. The energy sanctions are incredibly self defeating and will contribute to the energy rationing that the EU and much of the US may face this summer/autumn/winter causing great economic damage and economic misery for their citizens. In a recent interview with the Financial Times the director of the International Energy Authority stated that: “If we have a harsh winter and a long winter and if we do not take [demand side measures] . . . I wouldn’t exclude the rationing of natural gas in Europe, starting from the large industry facilities, ….” Meanwhile, the 2022 Summer Reliability Assessment issued by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) forecasts widespread power blackouts in different regions of the US. Take California, the most populous American state, where NERC forecasts: “The CA/MX area is not expected to have sufficient resource availability to
meet demand and cover reserves under any of the scenarios on their own, including typical forced outages; ….” The Western powers may well face considerable social unrest over the next year which could put limits on its anti-Russia actions.
Like Ukraine, the US/EU have their backs to the wall — they have to surrender, like it or not.
This is a post from twitter account Geroman accompanied by a visual graph, after May 8 they stopped reporting. Ukrainian casualty figures by May 8 were 48,525. The VSU grouping in Donbass is largely annihilated being replaced by the old, young and stupid volunters, mercs and thrill seekers. Not much of an army.
the last reported figures from @Rybar which represent conservative Ukrainian internal estimates, dating back to May 8, 2022 (after which point the leak of numbers ceased). (Gleb Bazov)
The Ukie armed forces really took a shellacking yesterday. Western powers must be a glutton for punishment. Their strategy of pouring weapons into the Ukraine has its limits.
Thanks Amarynth.
Regarding What’s next, point 6.
” 6 – Terrorists, who believe that the Western authorities’ attention is now distracted by the confrontation with Russia, will become more active. ”
I’m worried about the after effects of Nazi elements in Europe. There will be alot of weapons and fanatics with combat training returning from Ukraine. Even fanatic Islamists. Future does not look bright in a depressionary economic environment that likely will develope.
The United States has no logical interest to conduct a war against the Russian Federation, none. We have intense internal problems with an illegitimate government that recently openly stole an election. The most incompetent people are now fully in charge and use the instruments of power of the state, FBI, IRS, courts, self inflicted economic castration, shutting down our energy industry, in all ways destroying the country from within. Our media is controlled, people are banned and canceled for “wrong” thought and idiocy is proclaimed as reality. Our military flag officers were purged to produce politically reliable “yes” men who could could not win a war if they tried. Our “intelligence” services, which are massive, far more extensive than anything the Soviet Union dreamed of, is used for internal control and instigating trouble all over the globe. We now have a 30 year continuous series of failed proxy wars meddling in other people’s business. The best of our young men have been wasted dying in regions the average, public school “educated” American has no clue where to find on a map. To keep us “free”. Our closest allies, Canada, UK, New Zealand and Australia are socially rotted dictatorships. None of our leaders give a rat’s a**s for normal human beings, not at home or let alone in other regions. The Ukraine was made into the deepest swamp for money laundering, exploitation of women and girls, illegal arms trade, you name it. The Ukrainians assisted in the ongoing coups against the previous, lawfully and popular president. We have had one president since Reagan who kept the powerful interests from instigating new wars they do not have the balls to declare. If there was a problem that could not be resolved peacefully with the Russian Federation have the decency to declare war. This business of proxy arming a dependent failed state that results in people being killed and millions of refugees and destruction of what little infrastructure was there is insane. It is the definition of evil, and a handful are making billions while our nation goes down the drain. This pathological hatred of Russia is malignant. The idea that the Russian Federation was going to launch an all out offensive to invade the European countries if Ukraine’s “sovereign” borders were violated is imbecilic. These countries in their insane “green” agenda themselves made dependent on Russian oil and gas. And now they start a proxy war? Russia was making money on the deal, why in the hell would they invade? If there were such large ideological differences and Putin is such an evil man, why would they plan their entire economies on Russian energy? Why would the US shut down our energy in the face of this? At this same moment our own borders are wide open and the state is paying through third parties to import millions into our country. If I cross the border outside of control points I will be arrested. Yet millions without documents are ushered in. The main economic adviser to the previous president who was instrumental in creating our best ever economy was arrested and placed in cuffs and leg irons. Blatant political terror to warn opponents never to support Trump. And my concern should be that Putin is a dictator? Maybe he is, but is that not an issue for Russians to deal with? The deaths and wounds and suffering of Ukrainians and Russians is unacceptable that the US is instigating and supporting this. Anyway, it’s interesting to see other perspectives like here, the lack of Ukrainian news here indicates all is not well for those who matter. The $40 billion check cleared, we won’t hear much until they ask for more.

noainc, unfortunately, an accurate, excellent summary.
The next step is to put Ukrainian military uniforms on experienced NATO soldiers/pilots and have been run the advanced weapons systems and jets/copters.
My two cents, the pouring in of heavier infantry battle arms, the intensified shelling of the Donesk area exactly with those heavy arms, the relentless vitriol and rudeness, the insults verbal and tactical most recently preventing Lavrov’s trip to Serbia, possibly these moves aren’t what they seem, desperate measures and wanton vendettas for RF’s success but attempts to make the Allied forces lash out with ever heavier strikes on western UKR cities. They are calling Russia out as the West wants them to actually hit command and control centers in Liev and Kiev centers hoping for ugly scenes of collateral damage and civilian tragedies that they can then use to rationalize and sell a limited Polish incursion, that is NATO’s own SMO. Once they get that foot in the door NATO’s Polish proxy can begin pushing Russian forces back with intentional mission creep escalation. I think that’s the hastily thrown together plan B.
The Russians aren’t taking the bait even though it makes them look weak. I agree with the post from Black Cloud and add RF’s military restraint to it.
“Absolutely brilliant how Russia has not bullied “allies”, weaponized resources, or ignored international law. Most of the world knows exactly what is going on, and probably half or more of citizens in the west do, to.”
The Saker is an endless repeat about Biden as “working for US interests in the world”
Not true
– Who Does Joe Biden Represent? Americans, Not Ukraine, Should Decide US Policy
– Americans increasingly wonder where US involvement in the Russo-Ukrainian war is heading. Although this nation is not officially in the fight, it is a belligerent in all but name. US officials have essentially declared war on the Russian Federation and its president, Vladimir Putin.
– In an apparent attempt to assuage popular concern, President Joe Biden addressed the American people – those who read the New York Time, anyway. Unfortunately, he appeared to forget that his primary obligation is to protect the US, not Ukraine. Much that he said was cause for concern.

Time to stop the Ukrainian blackmailing attempts. They are trying to get the Russians to give them a ceasefire,or they say they won’t ship out grain. Maybe an annoucement that Russia no longer cares about Ukrainian grain exports from Odessa is in order. From now on Ukraine can either take the ideas Putin offered them,or not export grain. The grain harvests (as well as stored grain there) in the liberated territories are on track to have very good yields this year. And the Russians are looking for record yields this year. There will be plenty of exports of grain from Russian and liberated territories ports to the world. Don’t let the Ukie’s use blackmail on you Russia:
Kiev names condition for resuming grain exports
“No grain will go anywhere” unless Ukraine’s security is ensured, a senior official has said
https://www.rt.com/russia/556826-ukraine-russia-grain-obstacles/
People say Russia should draw a line once they achieve objectives in Ukraine.
However let’s be clear what happened here – America/ UK / France attacked Russia. Unprovoked.
Their aim is to destroy Russia. Victory in Ukraine alone does not address this problems. Russia has more advanced technology now. It needs to use it to attack West directly while they are weak. Otherwise they will just rinse, repeat.
Here is another good video from liberated Kherson by Patrick Lancaster. He talks about, and to, a Ukrainian territorial army commander ,who,he and his wife, defected to the Russian side. And are now ,similar to what happened in Crimea, asking for Russian citizenship.
I’ve said for years, and Patrick’s latest videos are showing the truth of it. That if Russia moved in and gave the people of the Russian speaking areas the feeling of safety they would accept Russia. They don’t really feel “Ukrainian”,and except for maybe Western Ukraine.I’d argue few others in the former Ukraine have more than a fleeting spark of Ukrainian feeling. What they want is a decent stable life for themselves and their children, and hope for their future. If the state they live in is called Ukraine,Novorussia,or Russia,it doesn’t matter as long as it offers that life. The former Ukraine has failed to offer them that life. And except for the few that benefited from it,the rest in the long run will not miss it:
Ukrainian Commander Defects To Russia (Special Report)

I read that Russia may have taken Tetyanivka (on the west of the river) BEFORE they attacked Svyatogorsk.
Either way, with Tetyanivka and Svyatogorsk taken, it won’t be long before Slavyansk is liberated.
I hope it can be fitted into the topic, but this report demonstrates very well the thesis that the United States is indeed run by idiots, as Dimtri Orlov quipped in an article. When it was written the barrel of oil was at 25 dollars and Russia did not have the tactical experience that it gained in Syria. This report that Amarynth has published is very doable and it is unbelievable that it is to a much greater degree than Rand’s. https://www.rand.org/pubs/research_briefs/RB10014.html
Latest from the NATOfans is that RF now has a major problem with worn out artillery gun barrels.. lol
I just experienced two times a crash of my PC while watching the Military Summary channel via YouTube. The video stream all of a sudden froze and a nasty sound kept coming out of the PC speakers making it necessary to switch off the mains & let the PC restart. This freeze was repeated when I wanted to continue watching the Military Summary. I just wonder whether some Ukronazies attacked my PC….
Voenkor Kitten Z
Military expert Boris Rozhin with a brief summary of the results of the operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine at 21.30 June 08, 2022 especially for the Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel :
1.
Severodonetsk.
Fighting continues in the industrial zone of the city, as well as for the villages of Borovskoye, Voronovo and Metelkino. The fortified area near Borovsky is partially broken into. The enemy is concentrating his efforts on holding the Azot plant and adjacent buildings.
2.
Svyatogorsk.
The clearing of the forest in the Svyatogorsk region continues, as well as fighting in the Lavra region, where the enemy maintains a presence on the heights and prevents the RF Armed Forces from expanding the captured bridgehead on the other side of the Seversky Donets. There are also reports about the occupation of the Russian Armed Forces of the villages of Sosnovoye and Tatyanovka. On a number of sites to Slavyansk 18-20 kilometers.
3.
Raisins.
The RF Armed Forces continued attacks in the area of Krasnopolye and Dolina, as well as battles for Bogorodichnoye. No changes in the area of Kurulka and Bolshaya Kamyshevakha.
4.
Kharkov.
Positional fighting to the north of the outskirts of the city continued. In response to the shelling of border villages in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkov and Sumy regions were intensified. The main front line – Cossack Lopan – Liptsy – Ternovoe – Rubizhnoye is still preserved.
5.
Golden.
Fighting continued in the Vrubovka area, as well as on the southern outskirts of Zolote. To the north of Gorskoye, fighting continued in the area of Ustinovka and Toshkovka.
6.
Soledar.
High-intensity battles continued for the Artemovsk-Lysichansk highway near Berestovoye and Belogorovka. In fact, a counter battle is going on here, as the RF Armed Forces are trying to physically cut the highway, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the contrary, are trying by all means to push the RF Armed Forces away from the highway. At the same time, the RF Armed Forces retain fire control over its greater length. The supply of the Severodonetsk grouping has already been largely reorganized through Seversk. The fighting at Stryapovka also continued.
7.
Svetlodarsk.
The battles for the Novolugansk and Uglegorsk TPPs continued. A serious advance from this direction to Artemovsk will be difficult without taking the thermal power plant and the fortified area located to the north-west. Also, it has not yet been possible to completely eliminate the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pilipchatino area.
8.
Avdiivka.
Fighting continued near the Avdiivka-Konstantinovka highway. It has not yet been possible to advance to the outskirts of Krasnogorovka (which is necessary to bypass Avdiivka from the north). Fighting continued near Novobakhmutovka and on the outskirts of New York.
9.
Zaporozhye.
Positional battles continued on the Kamenskoye-Orekhov-Gulyaipole-Velikaya Novoselovka line. The front line does not undergo significant changes, although the enemy claims that the RF Armed Forces are preparing for an attack on the administrative center of the region.
10.
Kherson.
After a number of unsuccessful offensive actions and losses incurred, the enemy temporarily went on the defensive in the Nikolaev and Krivoy Rog directions, but is preparing to resume offensive attempts, replenishing battered units and strengthening the group operating in the Krivoy Rog directions.

HORRIBLE LOSS OF THE APU on June 8: 50127 killed, 61451 missing. Latest HOT from Ukraine: videos and summaries (21 videos)

“The war will be protracted, it has just begun. Even if there are some suspensions for a period, for example, negotiations, or for some other reason, the whole process will be long. This is not only my opinion, but the opinion of many who are immersed in situation” – Alexander Khodakovsky.

Patrick Laforet@: “HORRIBLE LOSS OF THE APU on June 8: 50127 killed, 61451 missing. Latest HOT from Ukraine: videos and summaries (21 videos)”
And what is reality? Russia reported two days ago of 6,489 POWs. During WW2 it was quite common that 60-90% of MIA cases were actually POWs.
So folks – don’t take these claims of enemy losses too seriously. If Ukies have lost some 100,000 killed/deceased there must be 300,000-400,000 wounded.
Patrick Laforet: “50127 killed, 61451 missing.”
And RF published lately to have captured 6,489 Ukrainian soldiers. So what are the rest of 55,000? Killed, deserters?
How about the fact that 50127 killed should mean 150,000 up to 220,000 have been wounded. Of course these claims coming from pro Russia sources (“independent”) are nothing but highly inflated numbers nobody should take too seriously. Same must be said of Ukie claims of more than 30,000 killed Russian and its allied soldiers.
New generation of active armchair generals will be schooled to become more critical thinkers. But it seems to be too hard. They see what they believe.
Echelons with Russian military equipment are moving to reinforce the Zaporozhye group

“7 – New epidemics will break out, caused by a lack of international cooperation on health and epidemiological issues or caused by the proven use of biological weapons.”
No need to say more. 😉
Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci getting involved, of course…
I’m still mefiant toward Medvedev accounting for his harsh words during the vaccine mandates episode. You can take the same sentence and it is conform to the WHO announced “simulation” (plan) in March 2021(Nuclear Threat Initiative) regarding the outbreak of a monkeypox epidemy by mid May 2022, the announced outcome/simulation is that the countries who have a relax attitude toward the WHO ‘recommandations’ are facing a disaster in 2023, and agree to give up to the WHO a total control in the future. My problem is that “caused by a lack of international cooperation on health and epidemiological issues or caused by the proven use of biological weapons” is compatible with the scenario where it is ‘discovered’ in 2023 that ‘terrorists’ miraculously got access to those weapons and the real initiator get away with it.
Find these Medvedev remarks here https://t.me/medvedev_telegram/78 on May 13, 2022 in Russian – and not primary from secondary Romanian source, please.
SMO approaching Bahkmut. Summary: Peace is so slow….
Reading all the battle reports these past few days has made me wonder about something. Who are the Russian soldiers fighting in the streets of Severodonetsk? I ask because I am HIGHLY impressed. Those Russians are chewing up the Nazis pretty severely.
I wonder if the Russian troops in Severodonetsk are kids, less than 22 years old. If so, I suspect they will become a generation that does something great for Russia’s future. Those soldiers are proving right now they can really fight. The evidence is on display for everyone: even Western MSM presstitutes are admitting Nazi troops’ willpower is fading. The Russians are tearing their guts out.
A great future Russian leader may emerge from the combat happening now in Severodonetsk. First, that young man will experience the total defeat and destruction of a malicious NATO proxy state (the Ukraine). Later, after the war, he will accomplish something big in Russian politics and international affairs.
That’s my view. History is being made right now, in more ways than one.
In modern warfare military casualties have gone sharply down because troops have been decentralized very much. That explains the paradox: the more fire power, the less casualties.
Too many are foolishly believing military enemy body counts numbers. That happened in American War in Vietnam. And that is happening now in Ukraine.
Ukraine has thrown at least three waves of untrained civilian conscripts at the front, and those that try to run or surrender are often executed. The fortifications they shelter in are destroyed by massive artillery barrages.
If anything the body count on Ukies is too low. This is literally a bloodbath.
US war in Syria, Libya, Cambodia, Iraq, Afghanistan: millions dead and millions maimed. Russian Special Military Operation is very different. The Russians destroyed a supermarket and only eight people died!

MONSTROUS LOSSES OF THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE on June 8: 50127 killed, 61451 missing. Latest HOT food from Ukraine: videos and summaries (21 videos)
“…Western military experts, following the results of 100 days of war, note that despite the high level of junior and middle officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which mostly meets the requirements of modern combat, during the entire conflict, Ukrainian headquarters were not able to create the necessary fist of full-blooded units to organize a counterattack or offensive with far-reaching goals. Individual tactical successes do not change the overall situation. There are also questions to the repair services, especially at the first stage, but the situation in this issue clearly began to change for the better with the onset of May.
Experts note the high level of counterintelligence regime in the Russian army units on the front line, which strictly observe the ban on carrying smartphones, as well as the disclosure of any information related to the SVO in the rear. At the same time, the rather high morale of military personnel participating in the SVO has also become very significant, since there are no cases of desertion to the enemy’s side or non-compliance with orders that have become public.
——————————————————
On the contrary, countless report from Ukrainian lines, even mercenaries, describe the sorry level of communication among frontline troops, many using WhatsApp or other “encrypted” apps for combat interfacing.
Russian army’s high morale is the foundation of her army’s efficiency and combat effectiveness. According to Sun Tzu’s “Art of War,” the following questions are used for comparison between two armies.
https://suntzusaid.com/book/1
1. LAYING PLANS
13
(1) Which of the two sovereigns is imbued with the Moral law?
#I.e., “is in harmony with his subjects.” Cf. ss. 5.
(2) Which of the two generals has most ability?
(3) With whom lie the advantages derived from Heaven and Earth?
#See ss. 7,8
(4) On which side is discipline most rigorously enforced?
#Tu Mu alludes to the remarkable story of Ts`ao Ts`ao (A.D. 155-220), who was such a strict disciplinarian that once, in accordance with his own severe regulations against injury to standing crops, he condemned himself to death for having allowed his horse to shy into a field of corn! However, in lieu of losing his head, he was persuaded to satisfy his sense of justice by cutting off his hair. Ts`ao Ts`ao’s own comment on the present passage is characteristically curt: “when you lay down a law, see that it is not disobeyed; if it is disobeyed the offender must be put to death.”
(5) Which army is stronger?
#Morally as well as physically. As Mei Yao-ch`en puts it, freely rendered, “ESPIRIT DE CORPS and ‘big battalions.'”
(6) On which side are officers and men more highly trained?
#Tu Yu quotes Wang Tzu as saying: “Without constant practice, the officers will be nervous and undecided when mustering for battle; without constant practice, the general will be wavering and irresolute when the crisis is at hand.”
(7) In which army is there the greater constancy both in reward and punishment?
#On which side is there the most absolute certainty that merit will be properly rewarded and misdeeds summarily punished?
14
By means of these seven considerations I can forecast victory or defeat…

For the sake of comparison, take a look at the following aberrations.
First, the most nauseating one.

Ukrainian journalists: People’s Deputy from the party “Servant of the People” Maryana Bezuglaya commands the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Severodonetsk
Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov was the first to cover this topic, who wrote a post yesterday in which he promised to publish the details of “an adventure of the leaders of law enforcement agencies who were influenced by politicians and began to misuse Ukrainian combat-ready special forces to carry out one adventure in a tactically unfavorable situation.”
This afternoon, journalist Yanina Sokolova published a photograph on her social media accounts, where, according to her, the people’s deputy from the Servant of the People party, Maryana Bezuglaya, in military uniform, sets tasks for servicemen on the front line near Severodonetsk as a “man from above”.
Later, Butusov confirmed the information of his colleague and added that the deputy was involved in setting combat missions for the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The journalist wrote that this is a blatant manifestation of incompetence, which endangers the lives of Ukrainian servicemen. Butusov urged politicians “not to play with the lives of soldiers…”

And finally.

Zelensky admitted to the inability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to conduct offensive operations
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine lack the ability to conduct offensive operations. The Ukrainian president expressed his opinion during an interview with British journalists.
[Ed. Zelensky’s comment is in line with the report on the first 100 days by “Western military experts” I quoted above]
According to the “guarantor”, Ukraine is much inferior to Russia in terms of technology. Thus, offensive actions are fraught with heavy losses for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, Zelensky stressed that saving the lives of his soldiers is his top priority. This is despite the fact that every day, according to him, Ukrainian troops lose up to 100 killed and up to 500 wounded (according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, these figures are at least three times higher)…
—————————————————————–
Zelensky’s contradiction is self-evident: AFU lacks the ability to conduct offensive operations, which is the main purpose of having an army, next to defensive operations. At the same time “saving the lives of his soldiers is his top priority.”
Really?
He refuses to allow his soldiers to retreat from hot spots (Severodonetsk, et al), while the soldiers are sitting ducks, lacking capacity for offensive operations. How are the lives of his soldiers “his top priority?”
Enough with the nonsense.
Yes, the future leadership of Russia’s army is being forged in Battlefield Ukraine. Many of the current leaders proved their mettle in Chechnya, Georgia, and Syria. The children of the glorious Red Army march on, same enemy, different country.

Medvedev’s list (and a comment on his latest remarks):
1- “…including the collapse of foreign airlines that will be banned from flying over Russian airspace.”
His best point (and not like a guess or a prophecy).
Points 2 and 3 are like an astrological forecast. He says it will happen.
Point 4 is possible: Weak currencies, inflation, and destruction of the legal protections for private property.
Point 5 is astrological-like again: “New regional military conflicts will arise”.
Point 6 is on terrorism. He indicates terrorists will attack the West (also) more, because the West is distracted by its confrontation with Russia. Other high officials like Patrushev, most recently, said that the West employs the terrorists for its own ends. Russia is all over the place on this issue.
7 – He sounds like Bill Gates on the issue of epidemics, but includes “biological weapons” as a possible cause for the new epidemics. “New epidemics will break out”. Sounds like televangelism to me, it’s guaranteed, it “will” happen.
8 – He says some international institutions will lose their importance. (Russia has the power to contribute to that.)
9 – “New international alliances will be formed, based on Anglo-Saxon criteria that are pragmatic rather than ideological.” Copied and pasted. Patrushev used the term “Anglo-Saxon” referring to the British, Putin used it for the British and the Americans, and now Medvedev for all Anglo-Saxons. They talk about the Anglo-Saxons among themselves. The Anglo-Saxons themselves never use this term. The way they’re using it, it includes all and not some (it’s bad to use it so).
10 – “As a result, a new security architecture is being created which recognizes…:” He does not describe it like Lavrov; there’s no sign of an experienced statesman in the way he describes it.
Sitrep: “In the following post Medvedev says that all of this is not just a forecast, but is a process already underway.”
He is sounding more like a seer/prophet than the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council. I now see Medvedev has said more things that are news. Sure enough, something’s not right with the way Medvedev is speaking. He is reported to have called Ukrainians “bastards and scum” today. There’s a war happening, but it’s the overall pattern of his messages that causes concern.
https://www.ibtimes.sg/ukrainians-are-bastards-scum-says-ex-russian-president-dmitry-medvedev-he-makes-genocidal-65099
The source is the Moscow Times. They would not lie about this in Moscow:
“‘People often ask me why my Telegram posts are so harsh. The answer is that I hate them. They are bastards and scum. They want death for us, for Russia. And as long as I’m alive, I’ll do anything I can to make them disappear,’ said Medvedev.”
It’s counterproductive and dangerous to speak like that. If Putin does not publicly or quietly remove him, then Putin has said it. Putin ‘cannot’ say something like that. He will have to remove him, probably after some time. Just the other day, Medvedev intimated that Washington, D.C. could be attacked if Ukraine uses long-range artillery against Russia, but that’s not a proportionate response and was another bad thing to say. Patrushev and Glazyev were ahead of Medvedev in sounding bad. Evidently, and sad to say, Putin has serious problems in his administration. They say he has replaced many Generals. Why not replace these civilian authorities when they clearly demonstrate that they are way over their heads?
I’m going to assume you don’t follow the way people are thinking in Russia much. Medvedev,Patrushev, Glazyev, and Lavov they are speaking the way Russians feel today. Putin is the one who is out of step with the public on that. The latest is that the regular Russian soldiers in the SMO have had enough of NATO and are openly saying they accept they are fighting NATO now and not just Ukraine.

Your assumption is correct, Uncle Bob.
Worse, many a times I am left wondering which side the comments represent.
Lone Wolf
“Medvedev,Patrushev, Glazyev, and Lavov they are speaking the way Russians feel today.”
You include Lavrov but why? Truth is Medvedev is all alone now. Glazyev and Patrushev don’t belong next to him either.
The day Russian news showed President Medvedev dancing:
His heel up step is different.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwQ5pKKQYmM
I’m not sure of your point here. Medvedev may be the leader, but they all are outspoken today. I do agree though that he can’t dance well. Lucky for him that isn’t his line of work, lol.
“I do agree though that he can’t dance well.”
I’m glad he danced (fun). I do think he is as good a politician as he is a dancer, no kidding, bad at both.
This dancing event looks odd to me.
Why only men dancing?
I don’t see any women at this event at all.
If this were a folk festival I could understand.
But in an elegant garden in St. Petersburg it looks pretty odd!!
Putin’s job is first and foremost to keep Xi on side, and then the Saudis, Indians, and the rest of the non-West, and that means being exactly the the way he is: reserved, calm, reassuring, giving every appearance of a willingness to compromise. Medvedev and the others have different jobs that include playing to the peanut gallery. Together they make a very effective team, each performing his role superbly. So, even if we don’t like Putin’s ideas of the best exit strategies for Ukraine and the subsequent standoff with the US/NATO, I don’t doubt for a minute that he is the one best tasked with making the call.
Again well said Midge.
I fully concur. It is a good cop / bad cop routine. The executive is maturing and coming into its own. Medvedev deliberately uses provocative and emotionally jarring language. Not only for a domestic audience (to reflect public sentiment and reassure their interests are paramount and not been betrayed) but to signal resolve to external foes. And they receive the messages. It had effect several times, for example the French minister who let slip they were in economic total war, whom he chided and then caused a reversal. How much did his strident words and positions prevent catastrophic escalation to date? Medvedev gives a lot of room to Russian political class; a man formerly considered the weak link roaring like a lion is shocking to all. We thought after the SMO began it would be largely a military task, but Medvedev’s technical wordsmithery has been an effective front too.
Medvedev’s statements reflect what many people think, both inside and outside Russia, who have been really fed up with the western garbage. They’re an unmistakable indication that patience ran out, and the course of action from now on will be rather different. The game has changed.
I have been noticing Medvedev a lot lately, exactly because of his comments. They’re intelligent, perceptive, and come with an unusual and fresh perspective, which I find very interesting (also, a recent lengthy interview of his in RT). I think there’s a lot more to this man than what was previously thought.
Somehow, I trust him.
In the past, I didn’t think he had enough of a personality (and a mind) of his own, but this new, matured Medvedev is a welcome surprise. I think he will make a remarkable leader, different than Putin of course, but also a good one.
“I have been noticing Medvedev a lot lately, exactly because of his comments. Maybe you see something I fail to see. It’s a mystery to me why Putin chose him. In January-2020, he created a position for him in the Security Council, making him the highest authority below himself (Wikipedia). I got the impression he left his prime minister position happily. He was not downgraded by Putin. As ex-president and now in this position, he’s huge in Russia.
I only recently understood why Putin chose this guy – but then, again, Putin is well-known for his exceptionally good judgement.
Don’t worry about Medvedev. He is loyal, committed, and he’ll surprise many in the future.
As a personal observation, he’s also quite sane and sound, from the spiritual point of view, which is a not very common quality, especially in world politics.
Moscow Times is banned in Russia and they are headquartered in Amsterdam I think. So I guess your comment there about “They would not lie about this in Moscow” is funny. He said it clearly and openly on his Telegram channel. But, reading and quoting Moscow Times?
First person from Russia that used Anglo Zionist terminology was Lavrov in one of his speeches. I commented on it at the time – around end of last year I think .. not so very long ago.
Use of language between the gentlemen that you are trying to compare – Putin himself called ‘them’ collectively as tabaquis.
It is also clearly stated that if Russia is attacked they will attack the platforms where the orders came from.
Your comment: “Patrushev and Glazyev were ahead of Medvedev in sounding bad” is ludicrous and based on your own opinion. The language has changed dramatically. Have you checked out the Chinese lately? – they are burning the west with language.
Your comment: ” There’s a war happening, but it’s the overall pattern of his messages that causes concern.”
Who does it cause concern for? Generally just for you?.
I enjoyed the change in diplomatic language which is more real. You know, they’ve thrown shoes at one another at the UN. Did you see Ambassador Nebenzia storm out of the UN security council just last week? and the language used against him?
If you ask me, you’re trying to weave a web here that has nothing to do with reality. The language is frank, it is clear and it is devastating. Did you see Maria Zakharova accuse that weasel from Germany of plagiarism? She was right also.
So, from Moscow Times you are advocating for Mr Putin to remove the heads of the most important Russian state functions. Forget about it .. Mr Putin joked once .. he was asked how he gets along with Lavrov or something like that .. He grinned and said he is not always sure if he is speaking to Lavrov or to Shoigu. That is telling. The Russians are very angry, existentially and civilizationally angry, and so is the real world.
I can bring you real-world examples of each of these things that Medvedev is talking about. None of this is strange or unexpected.
“He said it clearly and openly on his Telegram channel. But, reading and quoting Moscow Times?”
I don’t have Telegram. Is that statement on his Telegram? Okay.
“Your comment: “There’s a war happening, but it’s the overall pattern of his messages that causes concern.”
Who does it cause concern for? Generally just for you?”
You say that he actually posted that on Telegram (posted story by me does not make this clear). Joseph Stalin did not say, “…I hate them” about the Nazis in public. I don’t think he said it of his internal opponents, many of whom he was evil to. I think that if he had explained why not, he would have said that a skillful political leader never talks like that. I agree with that. Hitler never said, “My answer is that I hate them” either. They did not use such personal language in WWII. They used the language of diplomacy. This is what some angry street people might say, not the leader of a country.
“If you ask me, you’re trying to weave a web here that has nothing to do with reality.”
I hope not. If he actually said it, I regret nothing from my comment. He can blow off like that and feel good, but there are hotheads on the other side who can react poorly too. The diplomatic language is always necessary among nations, especially with nuclear weapons.
Alexander Dugin, who I really don’t like, came up with doozie! “Russia is not at war with Ukraine, it is driving the devil out of Ukraine, this is a geopolitical exorcism.”
The rhetoric in Russia, and the rhetoric from Central and some South American countries have changed. Actually, all over. The Africans generally say it like it is. They show their hatred now!
Ramzan Kadyrov: “In the world there is a struggle of people of traditions, religion and family values against the followers of Satanism and permissiveness. It is very pleasant that many countries and people in everything massively support the position of the Russian Federation in this confrontation”
The rhetoric change we picked up here at least two years ago. Mr Lavrov showed the way. Andrei (the Saker) wrote about snow niggers. /the-great-western-wall-vs-snow-niggers/
I picked up in one of the previous China sitreps the change in the Chinese rhetoric. We see it now in Central and South America with the dueling Summits of the Americas.
Chen Wenlin “… American politicians are schizophrenics. From Biden to Blinken, to Catherine Tai and Janet Yellen, almost all high-ranking officials suffer from “schizophrenia.”

We need to speak it out! All of us. The stronger, the better. This infernal hegemon needs to know what it has done.
It is not merely speaking out that is required. It how, who says it, when he says it, and through which educational level. When you are dealing with terminally narcissistic, miseducated, drugged-up little men, you have to carefully enunciate and lower the vocabulary, as if speaking to an abused 8-year-old. Russians tried to be diplomatic for 30 years with no effect whatsoever. And they can see the slide into the Abyss for all. So this is a needed step, in case it can snap the foolish crazies out of their delirium. All this was undoubtedly gamed by Russian algorithms and Chaos Theory, etc.. At the end, one tries all avenues to avert nuclear war. Medvedev is delivering this masterfully for Russia, the verbal equivalent of a Bear baring its fangs. Will they heed it?
You haven’t and won’t hear a Chinese leader saying, “My answer is that I hate them.” Since they already say “schizophrenics”, which is also amateurish to say (I’m not clear), you might hear them insult “snow nigger” one day. Have you not seen how the good ones (like Putin) never need to “speak it out” or “get down” to make their points with true strength? I want to hear Putin say that Medvedev’s language shows true strength or true control or true experience or true statesmanship. He won’t (and you know the last thing you need is for him to join that bandwagon).
Medvedev is a hysterical snowball who loses his cool. Putin has a teddy bear side? I think so.
Politics is noble in the sense that it is a craft (sad to share this sentence). There is “insult politics.” It is the most powerful thing in politics. Imagine being able to ignore all the explanations and to just insult people and win! Hugo Chavez had it, and Donald Trump too but less and it won him a lot.
tranquilocomp…stop this silly lecture crap what kind of language got to use Lavrov/Medvedev…..Brandon openly in February/March called for removal VVP and one of senator Graham called for assassinate of VVP…enough is enough tranquil…..
They call for the outright assassination of Russian heads of state and your quibbling over what Medvedev said. And everything he said in regards to escalation has been said openly by Mr Putin, Lavrov et al.
Cheers M
Those who called for “outright assassination” are bad politicians, good for winning the election only. The second sentence of AHH above applies here: “It how, who says it, when he says it, and through which educational level.” Right on.
“And everything he said in regards to escalation has been said openly by Mr Putin, Lavrov et al.”
No, you’re right.
Head of the Russian Delegation to the Negotiations on Military Security and Arms Control in Vienna Konstantin Gavrilov: “We particularly put the spotlight on the delivery [to Ukraine] of long-range howitzers and HIMARS MLRS that threaten not only Donbass but Russia as well. We have clearly laid out Russia’s stance: if the Russian Federation is attacked with these long-range systems, the response against the decision-making centers will be immediate”.
https://tass.com/politics/1462789
Crazy to give that power to Zelensky who gave many indications that he wanted the West to get more involved through sending longer-range weapons and before then through no-fly zones, who rejected the WWIII argument, and who now reportedly does not want to share all his military plans, and who speaks angrily about the West…
To think that it’s up to this man in high heels to cross that red line or not:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dzW50fqWFE
So very telling:
A resident of one of the liberated settlements turned to a Russian soldier.
“They (the Ukrainians) killed us all here … forced us to our knees … Don’t leave us! Don’t leave us! Or give us a machine gun…”
https://t.me/OpenUkraine/18426
Thanks for the Sitrep. Good news indeed. Would it be possible if Kiev agrees to an unconditional surrender in exchange for the whole country remain intact including the Donbass or even the Crimean as it territories whereas the entire country called Ukraine would be like a federal part of the Russian Federation but function as an independent country? Also if they agree to get rid of all neonazi thugs, adopt a new constitution…etc.
Donbass doesn’t want that, and Crimea is now part of Russia. The rest might be possible, but that would be a “conditional surrender.” Russia already told Ukraine what it wants, and to all that if Ukraine accedes to what it wants, the war ends right away. Just ten days ago or so, it again was saying that negotiations were not dead. The Russian demands must be larger now than a month ago.
Russia winning will be good for us, and will strengthen the Global South that temporarily saved the world from World Health Organization dictatorship in the first week of June 2022.
It will be about 10 months before they try again, regarding some amendment issue.
“9 – New international alliances will be formed, based on Anglo-Saxon criteria that are pragmatic rather than ideological.”
I believe that the French invented raison d’etat
Ukraine is a big country of 45 million. Little Bosnia and Herzegovina which had less than 1/10 of that population had a 4-way civil war which lasted over 3.5 years. And it turned out that military losses were larger than civilian according to the more careful study/analysis (ICTY backed and headed, at least at first, by Norwegians (before being handed over to a Bosnian Muslim)) that was opposite of what the media hyped for years.
They were likely loosing almost 100 soldiers/combatants per day (divided by 4 ways: Bosnian Muslims, Bosnian Serbs, Bosnia Croats, and also the autonomous Bosnian Muslims which were fighting the Sarajevo government forces).
If BiH could keep the war going for over 3.5 years while loosing 80-100 soldiers/combatants a day, then Ukraine, at over 10 times more populous could loose 800-1000 a day and keep going for years.
In World War I and World War II there were battles which each side would loose thousands each per day.
Your calculations seem to count every Ukrainan citizen as potential military personnel. Babies, grannies and many other demographics in between don’t qualify.
You need to rethink.
Just guessing about it going by scant information, apparently about half the Ukrainians aren’t really opposed to Russia, and thus aren’t going to make good gorilla warriors. The real war is against the other half and they are concentrated in the western part of the country. That should make the occupation of the south-eastern part of the country easy for Russia.
The quote I gave of Medvedev (higher up) says “according to the Moscow Times.” If you follow the link in the news story, it takes you to the twitter account of the Moscow Times. The link doesn’t seem to be working. The Moscow Times itself doesn’t say a word about it. Perhaps Medvedev will deny the statement. The Moscow Times will neither publish it nor back it up. Quote from the link posted: “Medvedev’s strong comments against Ukrainians came as he was talking to his followers about his social media presence and his stance on Kyiv. Co-Chair European Council on Foreign Relations Carl Bildt has responded to his comments…” I was occupied finishing my comment on the list of Medvedev’s statements, but I should have checked the twitter link and the Moscow Times website. Then I would not have mentioned it. My apologies. In a recent Telegram post, the story says he wrote: “Deep Ukrainianism, fueled by anti-Russian poison and an all-consuming lie about its identity, is one big fake. This phenomenon has never happened in history. And now it doesn’t exist.” The last sentence of this Telegram quote is strange. I have no telegram to see if this quote is true. The main story must be “PsyOps.”
The Moscow Times has it on its twitter now, a picture of his Telegram post, but no story about it on its website. I’m surprised that the NYT has not covered it yet, big news like that. Waiting for someone else to publish it first? I was thinking PsyOps, but I don’t even see an “intelligence source” pointing to this true and harsh (or controversial) statement. Maybe Medvedev packs a punch.
Here is another reply for you .. from Martyanov, describing this as the only way to conduct foreign policy in current circumstances. Yeah, say it again Medvedev! Say it again.
http://smoothiex12.blogspot.com/2022/06/on-lighter-note-lol.html
Nobody has paid any attention to Medvedev. Biden apparently doesn’t pay any attention. There is no word of it in the Drudge Report or NYT. It can feel great! I know. When I criticized his “I hate them” message, I had mostly Ukrainians in mind, and I wonder what plans Medvedev has for Ukraine. I thought Russia would differentiate between the people and its government. However, this happened on Telegram and I don’t have it, and with the news ignored by Western media, I really don’t know enough of his message which is also conditioned by his previous messages as this latest one even indicates (“I am asked why…”). The linked story indicated that he referred to all Ukrainians, but I have no way to check, don’t know enough of the context. Did he say he hates “Deep Ukraine” or all Ukrainians or something like that, or just the Azov group or the Zelensky government?
Martyanov in that link is saying that Medvedev’s message was with regard to the whole West. Putin and Peskov use an entirely different language, as shown today in this NYT article fragment:
“‘Last week a Russian journalist asked the Kremlin’s spokesman, Dmitri S. Peskov, whether the window to Europe was closing. He responded: ‘No one is planning to close anything.’
On Thursday, Mr. Putin repeated that message in his meeting with entrepreneurs, insisting that Russia would not close itself off from the rest of the world as the Soviet Union did. Even if the United States and the European Union do not want to do business with Russia, he said, countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa will.”
This (quote) is the language from Peskov and Putin that has made Russia admired in the world. That’s how seasoned professionals speak. As mentioned in another thread, when Medvedev first started speaking so hormonally, as we say, my first thought was that he was being “burned” by the others (or peers). Then Patrushev and Glazyev came out sounding like that too. Medvedev has moved far “ahead” of them now.
Putin and Peskov are better at politics than them. I won’t be surprised if eventually these three are removed, but time will tell if all hell broke loose, or if (as I’m thinking) the dogs were let out and later will be brought back in.
but it’s a mistake to think there is a good time for hormonal leaders; you want to stay away from those.
If we see the SMO as a proxy war, I do not see the end of it without NATO agreeing to the Russian’s Red Lines. In fact some countries bordering Russia are still applying to join NATO with no guarantee from NATO that they will not host Nuclear weapons.
Point 10 in the list from Medvedev also has many consequences, among others is the role of USD as the dominant trade currency. This possibility will not be taken lightly by the US. Lately there are indications that some EU countries are reluctance to further play along with the proxy war but the US kept on pushing them,
Is Zelensky thinking about leaving soon? I think so.

The British and Moroccan mercenaries plan to appeal their death sentences
One of the lawyers for Aiden Aslin, Sean Pinner and Saadoun Brahim in the Donetsk court said that the military are planning to appeal the death sentence.
The convicts have the right to appeal the verdict through the appeal chamber within a month.
If the head of the DNR pardons the convicts, the death penalty by firing squad may be replaced with a prison term of 25 years. It is possible that the decision on pardon will be made after the execution of the sentence.

The corresponding decision was made by the Supreme Court of the DPR.
They were found guilty under a number of criminal articles, including mercenary activities and actions aimed at seizing power in the republic.
Something smells rotten re the very public trials of these war criminals. There were many reports of NATO officers and DGSE spies trapped. I just don’t believe that these three low level losers are all the Allies have managed to capture.
It seems they are being put on public show while HV captives are traded behind the scenes.
The first trade should be for Julian Assange. there is a twofer in that, it has the potential to get Assange out of the torture chmaber he is in, and it shines the harshest of glaring spotlights on the absolute hypocrisy of the Uk and US scum.
A little bit of info leaked out just the other day, from the Ukrainian side. The Ukrainians were flying helicopters in and out of Avozstal for over a month before they were discovered. Flying in fresh troops and ammo. That’s were the NATO officers went, out on those choppers.
Plus, in the US, a big show trial of the top dogs; dude the ratings, over the top, viewers glued to their screens…..whoops, wrong movie, different plot. Have you any idea how long it takes to debrief enemy Officers. If Russia has them or not is irrelevant to the big picture….Nazism in the Ukraine is being put to the sword. Millions of lives being liberated from daily terror. Never lose sight of the human factor, this is not about show trials or who gets traded, this is about give people the choice to choose their own destination with out having a M777 pointed at your head.
Cheers M
I’m having a hard time envisaging helicopters flying in and out of Avostal/Mariupol port undiscovered.
And if that info came from the Ukies….
Personally I’d rather have all dead head mercs made in to mince meat on the battle field than waste resources on court cases.
The meaning of “nazism”
– The resolution on “Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices” that contribute to racism, xenophobia and intolerance was adopted with 130 votes in favor, the Russian permanent mission to the UN announced on Thursday. Moscow has submitted the motion annually, in recent years, and Washington and Kiev have consistently opposed.
“racism” is like “evil” to me … in the eyes of the viewer
The Hal Turner radio show and web site has been around a long time. Hal lives in NJ, USA. His web site has something really funny tonight and it’s true. Germany is telling the Ukraine that they cannot supply any heavy tanks. A little investigation by Hal found that Germany cannot build new tanks because….they cannot get any titanium.
Who has titanium? Russia 🇷🇺! Ha ha. Hal said that NATO cannot really go to war because they cannot get titanium.
