At the time of writing, 8PM in Moscow, the Russians have received no reply from the US. So it appears that the US side, which had declared that an answer would be forthcoming for Friday, has changed their mind.
Yesterday Putin had a 4 hour long presser, which further incensed the War Party and its propaganda machine (aka “the West’s free and democratic media”).
Judging by the many statements coming out from “mainstream” western politicians, the USA’s reply, when it comes, will be what Putin called “chatting forever”, i.e. they want to draw Russia into endless and mostly meaningless negotiations while continuing their public grandstanding. If so, that was to be expected.
I might be wrong here, but I get the feeling that one of the reasons the Russians made their ultimatum both very unambiguous and public is that they were fully expecting the West not to offer any meaningful reply. In fact, I am increasingly suspecting that they deliberately created the conditions to make sure that the West would ignore Russian demands. Why?
Because that would untie the hands of the Kremlin to take unilateral actions. What kind? That nobody knows, but I can think of three off the top of my head:
- Deploy the Belgorod with its Poseidons
- Let the EU freeze and pay $2’000 per 1000m3 of gas
- Make a political move either towards the LDNR, or Belarus or China
This would be some possible first steps to “turn up the pain dial” I mentioned yesterday.
Putin has just announced that for the first time the Russians have fired a volley of Zircon hypersonic missiles. The test was successful.
Let’s see what happens next.
The Russians (in both Moscow and the LDNR) are reporting that there are currently 4’000 US “military advisors” in the Ukraine and that US PMCs have brought chemical weapons to the LOC to have the option to organize a false flag attack. According to LDNR officials, these chemical munitions are droppable by drones. The personnel servicing them has been provided with an antidote.
I wish a peaceful and joyful celebration to those who celebrate the western Christmas today.
I leave you with on open thread over the week-end.
Andrei
Happy Christmas Eve everyone. Tomorrow is (western) Christmas. Secular Russians will celebrate New Year’s Eve as their Carnival, and then (Eastern) Christmas on 12th night on January 7th. The wife and I have moved to Puerto Rico and find that here the Christmas season also includes Three Kings Day on January 6th.
Am I missing any celebrations?
I always like to rudely wish my Russian friends a Happy Christmas for those using the calendar of the pagan Pontifex Maximus of Rome rather than that of the Christian one.
NATO countries will slowly fade no matter what they do. It is the inexorable fate that awaits them.
As an American, I truly appreciate Saker’s wisdom and insight. It offers a welcome break from the deluge of propaganda one can shower in by watching (or reading) USA media. I try to tell my friends that they should open their minds and quit mindlessly hating. Just say no to Orwell’s “two minutes of hate.” Alas, nothing seems to cut through the fact free brainwashing by millionaire TV journalists, anchors, and experts propagated on the gullible public. American belief in media sources and government institutions is like the belief in Santa as a kid….
That said, Caitlan Johnson, an astute social and political columnist, writes: ” …going to war with Russia or China over who governs Taiwan or Ukraine would only be supported by crazy morons. People often object to this position saying, ‘So you’re saying we should just let China/Russia invade Taiwan/Ukraine??’ And the answer is ‘Yes. Of course we should. What are you a fucking idiot?'”
I for one am not a fucking idiot. And, to quote the character from the film, “Cloud Atlas,” I “won’t be subjected to criminal abuse.”
China invading Taiwan, that is a neocon wet dream, not going to happen , did not happen for 80 years, why would they now? Just because the west is stirring up tensions?!
I agree ostensibly. Although, I also believe China has red lines regarding the behavior of its government and the behavior of other governments who try to influence it.
But I think Caitlan Johnston was simply using a hypothetical to illustrate the stupidity, arrogance, and knee-jerk reactions of persons, especially Americans, regarding this issue.
I agree, and thankfully there is a growing number of people in the West that recognize that Russia is not an aggressor.
The duality of acceptable standards, weaponized media as propaganda has to fall – if it doesn’t we will all suffer the consequences. The perspectives offered here are a welcome balance to the screeching of our war mongering leaders.
In the end, I honestly believe they fold on the red lines because NATO and Europe simply have no other options.
Best wishes to all here – it’s been an informative and enlightening journey to tag along on.
The invasion is a western conception. If not for US interference, mainland China and Taiwan would peacefully cooperate and coexist. Ditto North and South Korea, Ukraine and Russia …
Peacefully co-exist, like Hong Kong you mean? Everything is peaceful as long as you cow tow, don’t speak back, do exactly as you are told and let China run everything. China, the beacon of freedom.
YeahNo.
ASK, Hong Kong is a Chinese city. Get over it. Taiwan will be too, time isn’t on their side.
Do you think US policy is peaceful? And US can’t do a shit to prevent China from run everything in their region in the future…Learn to live with that fact…US the beacon of freedom? Only morons believe crap like that!
Absolutely!! I wish I could remember who it was that said that the U$ is the most gullible, easily beguiled nation on earth. Damn, if it isn’t the truth.
“Everything is peaceful as long as you ‘cow tow’, don’t speak back”
Just like the typical citizen in every country – psychopaths control the world.
Duh!
Good point, in Psy Ops western agitprop, and Occidental mind feature, but some sort of action is set to happen.
CCP Global Times published article promising that the individual “separatists” on Taiwan would be arrested and tried. Perhaps they’ll be arrested by their colleagues, and perhaps by PLA cops. We shall see. Sun Tsu advises best form is the nonviolent method of “win-win” coordination, eg make friends to work together. By it’s nature the make friends strategy must be indirect, and it takes time. Blowing people to bits makes it difficult to be friends, but it is sometimes unavoidable. It comes at great cost, and makes outcomes less predictable.
“Invasion” in some form, whether by force or invitation, is inescapable implication…and Xi set sell by date of 2025, precise method remains to be demonstrated. I would bet that CCP is expert, and smarter-stronger-more legitimate than quisling fascists…and that the trials will take place. I bet there is invitation to CCP from Taiwan to negotiate re-unification and arrests of fascist will be by Taiwan cops. Many quisling will run away with whatever loot they can take, if they can. Afnamistan style rodeo.
Yes, Dave. But Chinese fascists invaded Taiwan in 1949, and the transport was provided by the Imperial 7th fleet (if memory serves). The PLA was busy with bandits and Hainan, but was preparing to liquidate the fascist quislings on Taiwan when, entirely by “coincidence” the quisling fascists in Korea invaded the North and started MacArthur’s bigbig plan to invade using a-bombs on China. Said “Korean War” did not work out, but it did postpone schedule for Taiwan pending suitable correlation of forces. It remains on the schedule since 1949. Chinese Strategists have long history, long memory, and great patience. Korea was the place from which Japan invaded China, imperium was planning to duplicate the strategy, but with nukes.
You may be right about the wet dream… Those poor fellas dream a lot. They live in a delusion. Chinese? Not so much.
Could happen, USA invaded its breakaway states in 1861.
Taiwan has as much rights as the Southern US states had.
It’s impossible to invade something that belongs to you. Merry Christmas.
The Chinese red line is Taiwan declaring independence. Until that happens – or the US places strategic weapons or major military assets on the island – China won’t reclaim the island by force. But if either of those happens, they will. And there is nothing the US can do about it without risking a major conventional war loss.
I well remember Granny singing about John Brown, and Kansas, Topeka in July in 1953, and also myself harvesting wheat in western Kansas. The sack of Lawrence was a family story. So was Libby Prison, and serving with Sherman. Peace, Brother.
In some sense US “voters” are “idiots”, in the original sense it means a fella who does not vote. In the modern sense it means the vote doesn’t matter, since there is no way to honestly count the vote. But yes, of course, impolite language is “highly unhelpful”. Many US persons see the process as rigged by the powerful, and thus are functionally “idiots”, fact, not a pejorative term This may be, probably is, a temporary situation, as degenerate junta of sociopathic perverts has a “sell-by” date with history. In old days we voted by a show of hands in front of the Court-House, packing “heat”. Those fellas were definitely not idiots. Their vote was real. About democracy, use searchterm > “China: Democracy That Works”. That’s real too. Smart rulers serve their peoples. They poll constantly, one way or another. Criminals, on the other hand, run rackets and rule by terror. Do copy the Chinese white paper, it’s very good.
I understand you. I know that not all Americans are brainwashed and fools to believe in what their government is saying and doing in their name. I sincerely feel sorry for the American people. Trump tried every means to have peaceful relations with Russia and North Korea, but the Neocons war party hated it because they need a perpetual enemy by whom they can continue to sell their war and Evil rhetorics to the people. And that enemy is always Russia, even when Russia pose no threat to the average American citizen.
I’m sorry that the White House has been taken hostage by globalists and Satan worshipping morons who would stop at nothing to nail home their evil agenda. Unfortunately, when the shit hit the fan, it’s on the innocent populace that the nuclear missiles and hypersonic glide vehicles would rain on. This is the unfortunate incident of war perpetuated by a ruling few.

MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Russia will not accept any preconditions from Washington in terms of future work to formalize Russia’s proposals on security guarantees, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said in an interview with the International Affairs magazine, a part of which was published on Thursday.

According to the deputy foreign minister, if something of this sort happens, Russia will come to the conclusion that the US “lacks political will to make agreements” and is taking advantage of these developments “to cover up its ongoing policy aimed at using the territory of Ukraine and other countries for military purposes against Russia.” “This is what made us put forward these proposals,” he noted. “Under these circumstances, the responsibility for future tensions – and they seem inevitable in such a situation – will be shouldered by the Americans and US allies,” Ryabkov added.

On December 17, the Russian Foreign Ministry released draft agreements on legally-binding security guarantees on the part of the United States and NATO. Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier called on NATO to launch substantive negotiations in order to provide Russia with reliable and long-term security guarantees. The head of state specified that Russia was seeking legal and judicial guarantees because the West had earlier failed to keep its verbal promises. According to Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin Aide Yury Ushakov informed White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan of Moscow’s readiness to immediately launch talks on the draft agreements on security guarantees. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov will represent Russia at the negotiations.
Saying it will not fall for the USA Ukraine way of never never negotiations despite saying they seek to implement Minsk .
The Russian Deputy FM is being generous. They don’t believe in Christmas.
You’re correct but they do believe in Xmas parties, Xmas bonuses, and Xmas time off.. and I would also add, “Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow.. or later”
Hopefully VVP green lights an operation to retake the Ukraine, at least to the Dnipro River and Odessa and Krivoy Rog… the people have been suffering under the neoNazis for too long. It would truly be a Christmas Miracle.
East of the river and all the way to Odessa! 110%

VLADIMIR PUTIN’S ANNUAL PRESS CONFERENCE

Italy may play role in Russia-NATO, Russia-EU talks — Putin
The Russian president called the relations between Russia and Italy “good and stable”

MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Italy might help normalize relations between Russia and the European Union and even between Russia and NATO during future talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.
“We have spoken with [Italian Prime Minister] Mr. [Mario] Draghi many times on the phone. We are in contact with him, in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, on a number of issues, which are of interest for Italy in the sphere of the development of economic ties, And, naturally, in this sense, I mean the friendly nature and the level of our relations, Italy might play a role in the normalization of Russian-EU relations and even in terms of the expected talks between Russia and NATO,” he said during his traditional end-of-the-year news conference.
Heh, yeah, since everyone pays attention to Italy. I thought when Russia issued its treaty demands, Italy already surrendered. Maybe that’s what Putin is saying.
Seriously, no one cares what NATO thinks. As Martyanov says, the only parties in the room are Russia and the US (and China). Everyone else is a non-entity.
NATO is a coalition of forces representing 650,000,000 people, more than 3 times that of Russia. That statement of NATO being an non-entity is just not valid. Laugh at the Germans all you want. They almost conquered all of Europe. It took the combined might of the US, rest of Europe, Australia, Indo / Indochine – British, and Russian forces to bring them and Japanese forces down. The French if mobilized, the Polish army, Italians, Nordic countries, to say nothing of Greco-Baltic states are not non-entities. Combined they represent a formidable force.
Good morning everyone, as I’m typing from Brasil and we use western “papist” calendar happy christmas, and as usual I’d like to salude Mr Raesky and his fellow working for the sake ( ;-) ) of this blog, and would like once again to go straight to the point: IMHO NATO/ OTAN (as it’s called in portuguese and french) does NOT represent anyone because to be a representative in Abbé Syeiès (and subsequent) meaning is not merely a matter of some sort or military alliance. For something or someone to be a “representative” it presuposes that some sort of wide and deep assorted questions must discussed in every region implied and most of all they must be elected, what they are not. All halucinating thoughts that have been produced lately discussing the EU representatives and it’s relations with the citizens it’s own homeland should be a good example of how complex such huge multi-national structures are relating to the traditional ideas or liberal ideas that used to be mainstream.
It’s worth remember however that the liberal western model of “representative” is not the only one valid in this world. Once there are different covilizations with absolutely different world-view and even cosmogonies, it’s quite very difficult to settle the question of what should be appropriately called “representative”, but I’m very sure that even in Norway e.g. if a poll is conducted and working-class people on the streets (or most population as always in the real world or “Lebenswelt”) if Hr Stoltenberg is their “representative”, most of them will bluntly answer “no”. Why? Because he was not elected to be their representative.
In fact, the only thing that OTAN can sure do is bringing death and destruction, once again, for Europe. And for this, and I can say it also for sure, not a single one bureaucrat in Mons or wherever else was elected. They are in fact playing the Big Big money game, buying arms and fomenting a brutal arms race, using the mainstream media to place fear and hatred deep in the minds of most people in many places like Ukraine or Poland or the worst and most clueless of all the US, and natürlich these bureaucrats do not give a single damn to working-class children that will be most of the boys (and girls), as usual, dying on the front.
I sincerely hope that Andrei Martyanov (saravá for him, I believe he’s a master!) is right and the russians have finally developed stand-off weapons that are capable of killing the cowards that are thousand of miles away from the front because ever since wars stoped being personally conducted by politicians, it got mostly worst. It’s important to recall that in the past they were there, leading and seeing with their own eyes and it’s worth remembering Otto von Bismarck regretting the carnage at Königgrätz.
Thank you very much and cheers from a sunny 22C/ 72F Vale do Ipiranga
NATO represents the Zionized USA (the ZUSA).
Ask Italians, French, Greeks, Spanish, et al about their desire to die for the ZUSA’s gangster plans. As for Australia and the UK, they have exactly zero moral fiber considering the fate of an honest journalist Julian Assange hounded by the mega war-profiteers. He is a political prisoner in a western prison. Ponder on that.
Also, tell us in detail about the incredible successes of the US (NATO) in Afghanistan. Don’t be shy. How about the incredible success of the “coalition of the willing” in Iraq? The EU has been feeling the effect of the US/NATO bloody wars of aggression against Iraq, Syria, and Libya: Do you personally want more African migrants, or you are safely separated from the “unwashed?” Most important, do you have relatives eager to join Dr. Rachel Levine, “the nation’s first transgender four-star officer” in a war against Russia whose only sin is the lack of need in the ZUSA’s “guidance?”
The Russian Federation wants to live by its own rules and traditions. Sod off already.
Hopefully, Europe still has enough intelligent people to spoil the ZUSA’s bloody plans for global financial domination.
NATO is fracturing into 3 coalitions:
The 2nd British Empire,
The 4th Holy Roman Empire
The 2nd Nordic Empire.
Since the end of the Cold war, EU Politicians have cashed in on the “Peace dividend” by depleting their military capability. Especially Germany, because her politicians believed that peace in Europe was secured.
Today, the nuclear weapons placed in Germany belong to the 2nd British Empire (US).
I expect the US nukes to leave Germany and Turkey, when NATO officially disintegrates.
Thus the French nuclear weapons will be the only threat possessed by the 4th Holy Roman Empire.
The Nordic Nations is coming together in Military Corporation, as they historically have reason to be on guard of each new formation of the Holy Roman Empire. The Nordic Nations historically used to have good relations with Russia, before the formations of the USSR which ended in 1991. I sense that previous Nordic animosity toward Russia has faded among the Nordic populations, after the US-NATO led War on Terror, and especially since the migrant crisis, created by the attack on Iraq, Libya, Syria and Ukraine.
Even Poland is on Guard on the formation of the 4th Holy Roman Empire, as they historically have had bad experiences with most of the resurrected Holy Roman Empires, especially the 3rd Reich.
https://www.rt.com/news/544372-germany-eu-fourth-reich/
As the above formations consolidate, it fractures the combined military power of NATO into 3 alliances.
This will secure a better balance of military power in Europe and The Nordic Nations.
The Catholic Romans of Europe will have to come to terms with the Orthodox Christians of Russia to secure European Nations, and especially Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine.
The Lutheran Nordic Nations + Estonia and Latvia will have to reinstate its former friendly relations with its Orthodox Brethren in Russia.
The Mad Turk, Israel and Saudi Arabia will have to make peace with its neighbors, or face eradication by Russia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen.
The Baltic Sea, The Black Sea and the China Sea will be devoid of 2nd British Empire Navy Wessel’s.
A possible theater of WWIII will move away from all of Europe and the Nordic Nations.
The 2nd British Empire will think twice about taking on Russia + China and their SCO alliance, because such a conflict will for once hit home in America.
By then we might be able to have peace.
With a hope for peace I wish all participants of the Saker blog a Mary Christmas.
And may your God be with you.
That’s a fascinating analysis and really displays the rhyming of history. If the past is unfolding in the present. One question: Does that make Putin the new Alexander Nevsky?
@ Jon wrote: “One question: Does that make Putin the new Alexander Nevsky?
In practices Vladimir Putin has already acted as Alexander Nevsky, just without the Crown on his head.
BTW the Russian name “Vladimir” is equal to the Danish name “Valdemar”.
Former Danish King Valdemar the great, was married to Princess Sofia of Novgorod Russia.
Small world.
Compared to Russia, no, they do not. In every one of 14 war games run by NATO over the last few years, Russia won, despite NATO being given the advantage in each case.
Population is not relevant when discussing the military balance.
And 80% of German casualties in WW2 came from Russia.
100% on all your points. Europe doesn’t have the stomach for war but as Hitler started WW2 to save the economy (through pillage), so will the EU join the Anglo-Zionist Empire in WW3 to prevent collapse but will lose, no doubt!!!
Interesting comment but lacking historical fact. The Anglozionist empire was priming Germany in the west and Japan in the east to attack the ussr. The ‘German army’ was not the ‘German’ army. It consisted of divisions from EVERY European country. The Anglozionist empire did not defeat Germany. 200 German divisions attacked the ussr, 20 were deployed to the west. The USA did not intervene until the 200 divisions were obliterated.
Similary the Anglozionist empire did not ‘defeat’ Japan. >80% of the Japanese imperial army was deployed against and defeated by the Chinese in their Great War of liberation led by mao and the communists.
The USA was in a hurry both east and west when the plan to destroy the ussr failed and they wanted imperial territories.
On what planet you live?
Definitely not planet earth
You believe masses of people are their.
Military might?
Totally wrong
Nato and their masses of people wouldn’t live very long in case they attack Russia
No chance whatsoever to win
Everybody would die
Therefore there will be no big war with Russia in the near future
But hey you always can watch Hollywood movies and their American heroes
Captain America 🇺🇸😂
President Putin, diplomatically, did not want to name the real nature of whom they have been in contact with for years. It is the ITALIAN MAFIA. Both the Chinese and the Russian presidents have been working with it, and recently president Biden received at the White House representatives of both Italy and SICILY. Draghi knows it, and I am sure he will have “a role in the normalization of Russian-EU-US relations…..”
Mario the snake Draghi is not exactly what you would call a reliable Partner
Draghi is as evil as it gets and a 1000 % Follower of the rules of the ending empire

The US is ready to engage in diplomacy as soon as early January through multiple channels,” the official explained. “Clearly, there are some things that have been proposed that we will never agree to, and I think the Russians probably know that on some level. We think there are other areas where we may be able to explore what’s possible.”
but…..
“It does not strike us as constructive or [the] way that progress has been made in such diplomatic conversations in the past. We are not going to respond to every proposal or comment that is made, including from the Russian president,” the official said, before noting that Washington also has its “own concerns” to put on the table.”
ah ….conditional excuses
Thank you, Saker, for these invaluable updates and analysis. I want to salute your courage in these dark and twisted times.
If history books will be written in a future where history can be taught fairly and truthfully, Vladimir Putin will be known as ‘Putin the Great’.
As “Vladimir the Great”
Got one already. St. (and Queen) Olga’s grandson, Vladimir Prince of Novgorod and the Kievan Rus. This one could be called Vladimir II. Not much honor there… Maybe Vladimir the Restorer? Saying that he restored Russia to greatness after two calamities of occupation, internally (the USSR) and externally (western mongols) may be his defining achievement.
In 2016 VVP visited Mt Athos, and there was seated by the monks in the throne of the Byzantine Emperor. Aheemmm. I recall reading the story at the time. Geewhiz, maybe the monks can tell a hawk from a handsaw, eh? Maybe God speaks to them…
Away from the details, the flow of history and conflict seems…irreversible.
With all its flaws, Russia’s power today, and her ability to survive the GENOCIDAL German fascist assault in 1941, was and is still owed to the Soviet Revolution, which overcame centuries of backwardness in a ridiculously short period of time, industrialised Russia, this despite being dragged into horrific civil wars, global boycotts, and many other forms of attacks by the monarco-capitalists. In the postwar period when the Americans were busy bribing the Western Europeans with the Marshall plan, they offered ZERO dollars to the Soviets who had sustained the most horrendous level of destruction. Not only that, led by the Brits, they plotted to wage immediate war against the USSR, using uneleaed allied troops and specially armed German fascist battalions. Talk about indecent betrayal!
Yet the USSR was able to reconstruct and even become the first nation to put a man in space (and a women, too), literally initiating the space age.
It is incorrect as well as a sign of malicious ignorance to deny such truths. The Soviet period (which eventually decayed due to the immense capitalist pressure and internalised “Westernization” of some of its privileged sectors) was a good thing for humanity, and advance. Thus, the very idea that Russia and the region comprising the USSR was an “internal occupation” is Western propaganda, that is, imperialist propaganda being introduced in a blog that battles continually against the same Empire.
Andrei, I wish you and your family a happy and pleasant holidays. May the new year will be peaceful. Merry Christmas. Peace, سلام
Reading between the lines of Russian statements, could Russia have the ABM sites in Poland and Romania as targets? Once those are operating, Russia won’t know if they have conventional or nuclear warheads. Someone with better knowledge should reply.
Handel’s Messiah is a perfect story of the world at the moment. Worth the long listen on Christmas:
“Why do the nations so furiously rage together? and why do the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth rise up, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord, and against His anointed.
Let us break their bonds asunder, and cast away their yokes from us.”
A year or so ago, Russia said since it’s impossible to know what sort of weapon will emerge from those launchers, it would be assumed they were nuclear armed and retaliation would be based on that assumption. I believe it was Putin who said that, although Shoigu might have also as I know I’ve heard that from two different sources.
Genuine Christianity is a revolutionary, levelling (ending class distinctions and associated wealth/income distortions) movement that was crushed by the Romans and their Judaic allies. Later, the institutionalized church helped to bury the revolutionary aspects so it could become the Roman Empire’s State Religion. My father’s favorite was The Messiah, but he never told me why, nor did I ask.
Thanks OH.
Listen to the Messiah and read the lyrics;.it’s the revolutionary synthesis of socialist Christianity.
I can’t help to observe one military aspect that appears lost in details of most analyses : General Valery Gerasimov, joint army chief of staff, ought to have retired in September this year when he turned 65. From what I have been reading all his predecessors have retired at that age ( 65 ) or before it. There is the saying that “you do not change horses in the middle of the battle.”
I am positive Russia has few capable commanders that can step in his shoes (with General Alexander Dvornikov, the current southern military district commander as the most likley candidate in my humble opinion); however, even a man Dvornikov can not replace the 11 years of experience as joint army chief of staff has and his close contacts with military counterparts in the west that Gerasimov has.
So if you are Putin and plan any kind of military action in the near future ( less then 9 months), I think you would ask ( or more likely order) Gerasimov to stick around for little longer to oversee the implementation of whatever battle plan may be on the Kremlin’s table.
Then, second aspect is that in Nov 2022 there is the strong possibility to have a Republican House and Republican Senate in USA. Republicans tend to be slightly more hawkish than the Democrats when it comes to Russia and wars in general (albeit just marginally so). Again, if you are Putin you may want to undertake any military action before the Republican run the show in US congress which can vote for deployment of enhanced military equipment to Ukraine.
So the odds for us to see some sort of military action in Ukraine this winter are rather big in my opinion.
”Ιn Nov 2022 there is the strong possibility to have a Republican House and Republican Senate in USA. Republicans tend to be slightly more hawkish…” Yes, there is this possibility, to have NOT a ”Rebublican In Name Only (RINO)” Congress, but a PRO-PRESIDENT TRUMP one. Such a Congress won’t be hawkish, because President Trump repeatedly stressed, that ”getting along with Russia is a good thing” and that ”Crimea is part of Russia, because everyone there speaks russian”. So, there is really hope, that in Jan.2023, after the Nov.2022 middle term elections, peace will have a chance.
Biden remains POTUS in Jan 2023, unless he dies, resigns, or is impeached and convicted. In any of the latter cases, Kamela Harris would become POTUS.
Yes indeed! Just as Bushie41 had the Quail as insurance, the bider has the esteemed lady.
It may be part of delusional calculus of fascist junta ruling imperium to have a war such that they have excuse to postpone sine die any problematic election silliness.
Strong possibility of war = to almost no possibility of election of anybody at all.
”Strong possibility of war = to almost no possibility of election of anybody at all.”
Exactly !
That’s why everything could be decided in 2022, especially in the first half, before the primaries of Representatives and Senators, where the pro-President Trump Republican candidates could be elected. The new year 2022 might become a very difficult year and, me first, would be very glad to be proved wrong.
I certainly worship the ground which awaits that meat puppet.
The new, (we hope pro-President Trump) House will elect in Jan.2023 the new Speaker of the House, with immense by the Constitution powers. In case that Ms Kamala Harris becomes President, then the new Vice President is elected immediately by the new, (we hope pro-President Trump), Senate. In any case, the election of such a new Congress will be, in itself, the beginning of revolutionary changes in USA. In the way that the present Uni-Party Congress hindered President Trump from getting along with Russia, in the same way the new Congress, after Jan 2023, will stop the against Russia war. Between Nov.2022 and Jan.2023 the old Congress is still in place. Then in 2024 maybe Presisent Trump gets reelected. Maybe… It is too far away…
From my perspective trump is either controlled opposition from the start or he’s been turned. He won’t be President again and even if they allowed it the fact is they would unleash hell with him as the ‘president’ just as a next step toward their literally demonic aspirations.
I challenge the assumption of a viable republican opposition. Such a submission to legitimate public majority representation is for all practical purposes impossible in the NOT United States of America.
I’m inside. I’m 57 years old. I’m watching this nation implode from the inside and admit that the entire tragedy is long deserved and warned of.
Natural Law never fails.
Hello everyone I’m back here and thus will I apologize Hr Raesky and komrade moderators and would like to go straight to the point. First, as far as I know, and as much as it has been noted and plainly stated by many pundits way better informed than myself, there’s no “bipartisan system” up there in the US; indeed; what is blatantly clear is the existence of something like a “bicephalous monoparty” as I’ve read somewhere, I think it was (the very cult and excellent) Ron Unz who branded it like that.
And I think this is very much truth and there’s no “more hawkish” party, in fact what matters most is the actual political mood of the real masters of US ploutocracy, the MICIMATT (apud Ray McGovern). So it doesn’t really matter much if people choose the “republicats” or “demolicans”; indeed, the inner and “ausser” policies are very much unconcerned with the US voters. As exempli gratia we could use the extremely hawkish behaviour of the Obama administration towards Dilma Rousseff down here in Brasil where he not only broke her mail secrecy (I know, it was unbelievably naïve of her administration using those platforms but between allies must exist good faith and good will) but most of all she was overthrown by a infamous and shameful coup d’état avec la ménagerie of the DOS, DOJ, CIA et caterva that brought about a coloured revolution here that lasted from 2013 to 2016 and was crowned with Bolsonaro’s election in 2018, the most unbelievably and utterly incompetent brazilian leader in 200 years of (semi) independent history, and natürlich bringing Brasil down to the condition of a blatant US colony and yes-man.
Cheers again from Vale do Ipiranga
A very good observation Malthus.
According to RT, the Biden regime is willing to be talk in early January:
https://www.rt.com/russia/544297-us-willing-discuss-security-moscow/
On the plus side it delays real war, and a chance for certain people to say farewell; even murderers get their favourite final meal before execution. The negative side, of course is “administrative fatigue,” ie endlessly delay until one side gives up due to boredom.
There is no evidence that any US agreement to “discuss” things in January will prevent a Ukraine attack on Donbass in January/February or next summer. Nothing has changed on the ground and I’ve heard nothing about the CIA or the neocons standing down in Ukraine on orders of Biden or anyone else.
I think they are missing the point….USA is the “owner” of Ukraine …..

EU & Ukraine ask to join talks on future of European security
Officials in the European Union and Ukraine want a seat at the table as Russian President Vladimir Putin prepares to discuss security guarantees with his American counterpart Joe Biden.

Kiev and the European Union must both be given a seat at the table for discussions about the future of European security, and no decisions should be made without their input, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said on Thursday.
Following a call with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell, Kuleba wrote on Twitter that the two diplomats agree that their involvement is a “key principle.”
“Decisions on Ukraine’s security can only be made with Ukraine at the table and with the EU at the table on matters of wider European security,” Kuleba wrote.
“That ain’t gonna happen.” I doubt Putin would allow Ukraine to be involved in the talks as that would open the way for Ukraine to claim it has to hold bilateral talks with Putin over Ukraine itself. They’ve been trying this ploy to evade the Minsk Package of Measures for years. Putin won’t allow it.
As for the EU, as Martyanov says, the only real parties to these talks are Russia and the US. Everyone else is irrelevant.
Mme Zakharova keeping up the pressure to and reflecting Putin’s impatience .
“As many as 10,000 Western military instructors have been sent to Ukraine to train the Eastern European nation’s soldiers and support its fighting in the Donbass, Moscow has claimed, insisting that 4,000 are Americans.
Speaking during a briefing on Friday, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for Moscow’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, suggested that the presence of foreign military personnel is a sign that Kiev is preparing for a confrontational solution to the ongoing standoff with the two self-declared breakaway republics in the eastern Donbass region.
“The more instructors there are, the bigger Ukraine’s military budget,” she said. “The more arms they bring there, the more often we hear explosions, not only on the line of contact, but also right in the neighborhood of civilian infrastructure.”
According to Zakharova, the claims foreign trainers are in Ukraine to help deter Russian aggression are “a lie” and amount “not just to hypocrisy or double standards – this is a combination of blasphemy and mockery.”
I understood there to be 10,000 NATO mercenaries inside Ukraine.
What I consider devastating is TOS-1
Does Russia still have highest proportion of artillery to Army strength ie 45% of anyy major power ?
Netherlands affirms nuclear power is a sure sign they need cheaper electricity to maintain the pumps that keep the polder from being reclaimed by the sea and as world’s No2 agricultural exporter energy costs are key
I wonder if Russia has started attracting German chemical producers with cheap energy costs ?
The US will engage in private, very secret talks. The public sphere will be filled with Russophobic BS and demonizations, part of the InfoWar they operate as ‘diplomacy’.
What they hope is the World cares about the USA and needs the USA.
That game is over.
The ignorance of American diplomats and geo-strategists has them in a cul de sac. They have one route out of the dilemma–retreat.
They have arrived at the point where they think they can get a small, manageable war with Russia that they then can claim as a victory.
They really, deeply believe that using the Ukies and PMCs and leading them with US and NATO special operators by the thousands, they can harm Russian military, get a standoff or outright victory for Ukraine.
Of course, the realists are marginalized, so this fantasy is forming in Biden’s camp, egged on by the loons of the EU and Brussels who have never tasted real war.
Putin will show them the reality and they will taste a bitter defeat, with thousands of 200s and 300s to account for.
War is coming. It will be the most damaging short war in modern history.
“War is coming. It will be the most damaging short war in modern history.”
All I can say is I hope, fervently hope, you are wrong.
Well, look around. Where is the US/NATO putting down their chips?
Ukraine.
Russia will wipe out any opposing forces in Ukraine. There isn’t a war game model, strategic analytic paper or opinion that thinks it could last longer than 96 hours.
And if missiles fly across into Russia, you can bet that 24 hours later the West will fly white flags to try to save their capitals and HQs.
Well, I have studied long and hard and slowly formed a view of the long long “singularity, or incipient foundational conflict. Essentially between Land People and Pirates from the European peninsula and archipelagos.
As VVP said, Russia cannot retreat any further. This is to say they have backs to the sea. Sun Tsu advises that an army with back to sea will fight. I agree.
What is not so clear to many is that the the imperium is also with backs to sea. Out of options. It too will certainly fight. Is last option. It’s not a matter of “will” or choice, it’s a “machine intent”, like the scorpion and frog.
Many note the disintegration and vice, and “regression” (VVP speech as translated), though that may have been the polite term. Properly put, imperium is collapsing and degenerate. Last gasp and Hail Mary time, I am sorry to say.
I note Land People fight according to “attack through”, and tend to agree with Auslander, once “it” starts it ends in the imperial capital – Red flag over Reichstag Time. Half measures wont work. And this time no ratlines to Argentina or Canada…
I’m recalling mene mene tekel upharsin. Time’s up.
I am also deeply sorry to see such a history bring horrors to innocent people.
Excellent comment Mr. P.
The US in combination with NATO remain a formidable enemy. The US military industrial complex is cornered and will fight hard.
Japan have changed their neutral posture and has stated publicly that it will stand by the US to protect Taiwan. They are contributing several billions per annum to strategic defense with US forces. Let us not forget that the Japanese are fierce opponents. They are historically used to winning wars. The second world war was their first defeat I believe – do correct me if I am wrong.
Japan actually does not have a dog in the fight.
It wants to contain China. A fantasy.
It wants to get back the Kurils. That will never happen.
It stands to get control of Taiwan if China cannot take it. China will take it.
Japan operates on Imperial Ambitions.
It is far from ready for the war it will get if it sticks its nose into anything involving Russia and China.
In reality, Japan itself has no allies. None.
The Koreas would hit Japan hard at the slightest moment of Japan’s weakening.
Japan’s power is being a sidecar to the US.
Missiles make the US stand off 1000 miles from Japan.
So, Japan’s nose, face and head gets busted like a melon if the US starts a war with China and Russia.
Japan must be thinking it’s 1940.
In 1939 the Japanese army in Mongolia was obliterated @ Khalkhin Gol. In 1940 they had no taste for further war w/Russia. They turned their aggression southward.
“Re: Japan have changed their neutral posture and has stated publicly that it will stand by the US to protect Taiwan. .”
The Japanese, like the Germans, are a mere shadow of their pre-WW2 selves. I agree with Saker that they are a broken people, by continuous AZ Empire occupation and societal reengineering for over 75 years.
A portion of their elites also appears as insane as the EU, which is currently committing suicide. However, unlike the EU, another portion of Japanese elites appear lucid – witness the gradual integration into Eurasia such as with recent massive RCEP treaty, cordial relations with Russia, effective pandemic policies, etc.
These moves to politically support boycott of the Beijing Olympics, attend the Democracy summit, and now the Taiwan issue are fig leaves being provided to a dying empire, with little beyond empty rhetoric. The Japanese are really minor players so far and know they are outgunned by the China-Russia tandem, not to mention many still looking for vengeance for their 20th Century colonizations. And with a dwindling population they cannot afford losses in futile gestures.
Not sure where this idea of Japan came from. Japan is toast with no friends and still a war criminal country. Here is recent developments in the far east. Japan needs to fight through Korea first. Korea (south) is building an airbase in a disputed remote island for its fighter jets to fend off Japan. Korea (north and south) is not a small country with a population of 80 million. If Japan does anything there, Korea will crush them.
Winning war? Shirley you jest

I hope they”ll focus on HQ of NATO “advisors” and whipe them all out. Merilessly and everywhere. Not like at Debaltsevo where they let them go together with Galician fashists.
Russia should publicize every session of negotiations so that the ‘Biden gang’ won’t have anywhere to hide.
If they make concessions, that would drive a wedge between them and NATO vassals given that the NATO idiots aren’t ready to take a single step back.
Larchmonter, my comrade,
What SehSha doesn’t understand is Russia does not fight to maintain the status quo, if Mother has to fight, and she will this time, the fight will be to the death. This fight will not be by the Marquess of Queensberry rules, the first thing the nato/us troops will feel is the heat of the sun, aka Comrade Buratino, and that feeling will be an hour or more before the first ‘polite young men in green’ appear. And as if that ain’t bad enough, AFN will be in the first echelons of serious forces attacking the orcs/outsiders. Payback is a beyoch for sure and AFN is chomping at the bit.
I doubt there will be many prisoners either orc or SehSha/nato although I’m sure that the norms of prisoners and enemy wounded will be followed to the letter when the prisoners and wounded start to appear.

No one knows the “temperature” on the ground in Donbass and Krim better than you, dear friend.
I’ve said it before. I’ll repeat it. I just want Ruptly RT and Anna News to stream it and capture it on video.
The world needs to see for themselves the destruction of the Nazis and demolition of NATO and the Hegemon.
Calling the Russians to come fight on sacred ground where their grandfathers fought the Third Reich and blood soaked the ground is tantamount to trying to take Moscow in the winter.
Love that last paragraph!

Yandex translate. Mod:
There are more: I read on a blog post weeks ago, a former U.S. Marine commenting on 600 friends being sent to Ukraine as “coaches.” About zircon’s salvo, yes, I also read that UM hit the target, I have here my doubts, I believe that in this salvo, most were Avangards, those who are hovering in orbit… Hence, I believe, this may be the greatest threat, a sword of Damocles.
Tec
Yes, with the Russians demonstrating salvo launching of Zircon ship-killer hypersonic missiles, the US is “threatening” to fire Tomahawk cruise missiles (the kind the Russins spooked and downed by the score in Syria) from Black Sea ships and locations.
That will lose them their ships in less than 4 minutes and their Aegis Ashore launchers in Romania.
Everything the US is lining up for the war will lead to the utter destruction of their assets, troops, Command Centers, networks, and their Alliance, NATO.
No country will want to stay in NATO when the Russians strike. It’s not just a target on their troops, vehicles and weapons. It is death sentence to their HQs and national government centers.
Russia will take apart whoever joins the Ukies.
Just think of 30,000 Chechen special forces that Kadyrov has available, most of whom have extensive service in Syria, as well as many who fought the jihadists in Chechen war.
And the US is talking about sending a few thousand Marines. Even if they arrive, they will be minced like garlic clove.
There is a total irrationality I haven’t observed since Viet Nam days.
The absolutely insane notion that the West can defeat Russians on their front yard seems to be forming in American leadership’s minds.
When this ends, Putin may own Alaska and Northern California again.
Yes, and many in Alaska and N Cal would probably approve. In early “coldwar” US calculated that Alaskan were “not loyal” and would be quite content, or prefer, to be part of USSR. The US set up “stay-behind” cadres of brigands, er, “freedom fighters” (white guys). I doubt that’s changed very much. Of course, if war goes all the way to “Reichstag” level, it would be a simple choice – they’d be adrift and hungry and would welcome law and order and non-degenerate rule. Of Alaska, I note Seward was famously corrupt and “purchase contract” is entirely challenge-able in legalistic sense, then there’s the “Kosovo principle”…a referendum. I would not bet against the prospect…and then there is the matter of reparations…with what currency could a defeated ruined imperium compensate Russia, other than real estate?
>”…with what currency could a defeated ruined imperium compensate Russia, other than real estate?”<
Well, there´s GOLD, of course, IF indeed there´s really any physical gold left in Fort Knox, New York, etc.
^^;;^^
Morc
Of course there’s next to no gold left in US vaults. That’s been obvious for some years. Promissory notes aplenty though, I daresay. They’ll come in useful for lighting wood-stoves, when the US grid is down.

(We) “are diametrically opposite if you know what I mean…”
Maybe 15 years ago I watched Gorbachev give a speech in Laxon Hall on a college campus in Northern California. When his translator said (paraphrasing) “while communism is dead in Russia, it yet lives on in the rest of the world”, 90+% of the audience jumped to their feet and gave him an almost 2 minute clapping ovation. It was in middle of speech as I recall, and far more noisy than at end of talk. Truly there are a lot of commies in California, and they are diametrically opposite to you and me.
But today is (western) Christmas and the end of the year approaches. So… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr57D9IHuQ0&list=RDzr57D9IHuQ0
“War is coming. It will be the most damaging short war in modern history.”
Wars have a way of lasting far longer than originally expected by either side.
As of now, there are +10,000 US/NATO military advisors in Ukraine.
https://www.rt.com/russia/544306-us-military-ukrainian-front-lines/
Another report says that the WH will have negotiations with Russia in January.
https://www.rt.com/russia/544297-us-willing-discuss-security-moscow/
Apparently, the US is trying to drag the talks while continuously arming and training the Nazis. They’re buying more time with the hope that they’d give Russia a bloody nose.
On the contrary it seems Putin has already instructed Sergey Shoygu to position his Military Chess board already and in waiting. The Americans should also know and are preparing for what ever might happen.
Sending American advisors into Ukraine are more a Red Herring or a ruse trying to move away focus from the main target. Russia will never at this time permit a repeat of 1941.
One possible option for the American is to direct Israel to attack Iran shifting concentration from Russia’s ‘Ultimatum’. Its doubtful the Americans will want to create chaos in the South China seas but preparations must also be made in this event.
As for the EU Freeze. Russia should let them freeze until the German ‘tri-party’ Gov’t collapse or become politically unpopular.
Its doubtful if a Political move can get the American ‘Cat and Mouse’ game into the open. Something more profound may be required. The American Empire of Chaos is a deep quagmire with so many issues on going including the Fed option to Crash the Stock Market blaming it on a fake Cyber attack.
Then, they have the fake Climate Change issue which is driven by the Oligarchs led by Klaus Schwab and his Great Reset policies. Then, increasing inflation, the fiat Dollar survival, the contracting economy. Plus, 12,000 Military Air Men refusing to take the mRNA gene therapy.
There will be many more dead Americans if Iran is attacked. Also, the current hype and propaganda priming at home has been aimed at China, Russia, and COVID – the media is not prepared for that script and the brainwashing off target.
If this were a game of chess played by people who understood the game, this is where the player playing the US pieces would resign.
The media have already brainwashed the US electorate about Iran. A poll taken some years ago showed that over 70% of Americans thought Iran already had nuclear weapons – not just a nuclear weapons program, but actual nuclear weapons.
A Brooking poll taken this past July showed the following:
“Seventh, more Americans think Iran possesses nuclear weapons than think Israel does. While Israel has been known to possess nuclear weapons for decades (without officially acknowledging it) and Iran is not known to have ever possessed any, the American public perception presumes a different reality: 60.5%, including 70.6% of Republicans and 52.6% of Democrats, say Iran possesses nuclear weapons — compared to 51.7% who say Israel does, including 51.7% of Republicans and 51.9% of Democrats.”
So that’s come down a bit since the last poll. And about 65% of Americans want the US to rejoin the JCPOA. But again, “that ain’t gonna happen.”
Milosevic was also cooperating and endlessly negotiating with the West. It is a con game played by the West. We all know how Milosevic ended. The new Serbian politicians criticize Milosevic for being to rebellious against the West (not true, he was very very cooperative), so they try to kiss their asses even more, thinking it will earn them goodwill. Vucic is also involved in endless talks with Kosovo in Brussel, the EU pretending to be a neutral middle man. The consequences are that Serbia is being conned away from their sovereignity and territorial integrity, slowly but surely.
Thanks for this quick update Saker, and I agree that the public airing of this document is basically there to give the Russians a free hand for hardball from now on.
Maybe this is exactly what’s needed to bring the West to their senses.
I am pretty mystified as to how the Europeans plan on mounting any type of war effort in the midst of the mother of all energy crises…
Serbian girl,
“I am pretty mystified as to how the Europeans plan on mounting any type of war effort in the midst of the mother of all energy crises…”
My dear Lady, nato will do what they are ordered to do, they have no choice. I have no doubts that SehSha/CIA/MI6 have enough on all the eu PTB to not only get them hanged but also go through the mother of all divorces and that will be just for starters.
Auslander
Auslander,
How lucky we are to have you with us reporting from ground zero. Please stay safe!
I agree the EU ptb are conspicuously compliant. One has to wonder about all those rumours regarding the criminal depravity of the elites…
For some time now, and especially over the last week or two, I have been following the news coming out of Ukraine. Many have commented, and what follows is my own two cents worth.
The ultimatum issued by Russia is portrayed as putting Washington in the crosshairs. I think rather it puts Russia in the crosshairs. I say this because I just don’t see Washington as willing to deal with Russia as an equal with concerns that deserve to be addressed.
So the big question is, what next? And this is very much up to Russia.
And the big answer is, thoroughly disarm Ukraine. This could be done with stand-off weapons of which we have heard so much, and the reality of which I have no reason to doubt.
There would be no reason to “invade” Ukraine. Simply remove Ukraine’s ability to militarily threated its eastern provinces, and then, perhaps, recognise the Donbass as an independent and sovereign State.
And then the ball would be in the West’s court. What would they, could they, do about that state of affairs? Not much, by my reckoning. The EU and NATO would huff and puff – perhaps AOC could bring the lipstick.
According to Putin and Russia the real issue is not Ukraine. It is the Americans and allied NATO who now sitting on Russia’s Door Steps. Russia, is saying get away and go sit on your door steps in North America or else you don’t we send you off.
It’s actually both. The overall issue is NATO expansion, but Ukraine is the number one problem in that regard. Ukraine and its apparent readiness to start another war in Donbass, as well as an acceleration of NATO attempts to get established in Ukraine, is why Putin has chosen now to put forth his treaty proposals. As he’s said, they’re running out of time to prevent NATO on Russia’s borders.
Patrick Armstrong over at Unz.com had a pretty good answer. A long list of what might ‘come next’. Russians have their own list, but this will give you an idea.
https://www.unz.com/article/weve-seen-the-ultimatum-what-is-the-or-else/
Putin, and his team didn’t have a meeting one lazy Friday afternoon and think:
Hey, let’s send the yanks an “ultimatum”.
No.
This chess move has been game planned with precision.
They know exactly who they are dealing with.
They know “the Americans”, and they know this particular crop …
Putin and the Russians have longevity on their side, while the yanks constantly change with each new administration.
The Russians know what the U$A team will do before the US themselves.
The next move, and the next, and the next, and the next has already been fully prepared.
Also. The U$A had no inkling this was coming. They have never game planned such a move from the Russians.
Hi Andrei,
Please let me play ”the advocate of the Devil” against your argument. On these three options you state. Them being;
Deploy the Belgorod with its Poseidons
Let the EU freeze and pay $2’000 per 1000m3 of gas
Make a political move either towards the LDNR, or Belarus or China
Playing the neo cons now. Ok, they have a huge submarine, just one of them. Called the Belgorod.. Looks a bit like ”Big Bertha” the Germans had back in WO1. Huge and super powerfull but very, very difficult to deploy and required thousands and thousands to keep that beast alive. Let Russia play and threat us with it and we keep their resources tied up with that. That is a win for us and a loss for Russia.
After all, we can detect that sub in no time since it is huge and thus is easy to destroy. Worst case scenario, they destroy one or two cities max since they do not show their full power since lol, forever. We have to willing to make sacrifices to achieve the ultimate goal. They still think we are not ready to make serious sacrifices, we are.
The EU will never pay $2000 for a 1000m3. We do not care what newer allies we have to throw in front of the buss. If we get the EU to rely on our gas our geopolitical dream comes true. America gets to rebuild partially since the industry from Europe will become non competitive since our LNG gas makes that happen. Our gas is super cheap, especially if fracing is returned to where it was a few years ago.
Europe is after all the longest, most conquerd oart of the world as an asset of the neo cons. Fully ready commit long term suicice for short term succes. See the LNG flotilla to Europe from the US.
Last but not least the point Make a political move either towards the LDNR, or Belarus or China. We tried Belarus. That was not an easy nut to crack. The population looks to the West and sees a horror regime unfolding. They look at LDNR and also the Baltic States treatment of native Russian people. We tought we were early enough but sadly we were not. So sadly Belarus cannot be an uprising soon since defeated when we were somewhat clean.
The Baltic states, another big native Russian population. Even the UN (not that I have trust in them to solve things) is looking into why they are treated as 2nd rate people. Once they joined the EU a big percentage of their population moved out of the Baltic States. Lithuania adds as a thirth measure now banning unvacinated from public life. I cannot imagine a sane counrty that looses or bans 60%+ of its population from public life or left.
Keeps Ukraine, that is for years a (neo) facist hotbed. Corrupt to the core but as long as our billions keep flowing in we keep owning the country. Not that it is easy but is the best route to escalate. Thus keep the EU in our fold. Fuck the masses of EUropeans demonstrating. Our LNG will make them thank us.
Ah well, that is how I, as an observer of the geo political mess, see it from an US pov.
If you are in a leadership position and never tried scenario planning you really have to apply that tool. The Saker uses it, I use it and hope to given you something to think about.
Regards,
Hugo
Not a good time to be a Euro-Cockroach.
How embarrassing being a vulgar US stooge. Absolutely pitiful!
Putin emphasised that once some of Russia’s measures to combat western hostilities were implemented, there’d be no turning back and it would be futile for the US-EU CABAL to bleat like sheep afterwards.
Personally I would like to see Russia make a big statement like, All US special contractors have 72 hours to leave Donbas areas and as a Christmas Special, All illegal US/NATO cockroaches to depart NE Syria within the same timeframe – or else.
Watch those genocidal scum flee, deserting their Kurdish & Al CIAd’uh proxies.
Seasons Greetings to you all and deepest thanks to the Saker, Moderators and Contributors for the tireless work and dedication to the Truth and promoting Free Speech!
May the Lord Bless Us in these difficult times and may his Army protect us from Satan and his minions that sit in their fancy offices across this beautiful Earth.

This morning, after taking the missus to the market, I went to the bar to talk to friends and neighbors, you know, to open your appetite and throw away conversation, socialize with the neighbors… An Agronomist who was from the neighborhood (his parents live here) showed up, is living in a nearby town and managing his own company. What this guy told about the lack of agricultural insums in central Brazil was frightening, he predicts a crop break next year, many farmers will not sell early harvest for fear of not being able to deliver. Honestly, after hearing about the lack of fertilizer, pesticides and missing tractor parts, I was terrified! :-/
Russia has to hit NATO trainers in Ukraine for it to be taken seriously by NATO, anything else is just not going to cut the mustard.
Russia can send 50 Belgorod’s to sea, what the sheep in NATOlands know about that will be negligible, given the censorship which prevails there.
The only thing which the Presstitutes cannot hide, is families grieving their dead servicemen. Russia can always give the credit to Donetsk or Luhansk militaries for a precision strike or series of strikes, but why bother, NATO aren’t afraid to set their killers loose against Slavic or Slavic allies like Syria.
Now that President Putin has thrown off the diplomatic niceties, he should now also throw off the humane reasons for keeping the peace, these animals who openly attack Russia and its security have to be openly treated to a display of Russian military might.
I considered Andrei my most awesome source of real and truthful and vital information of what is going on in this world but mostly the country I respect and dearly love.
Therefore I will help this website to continue giving us these extremely important information rather than read garbage from the west venues that protrude pure lies and putrefaction!
Well a question bothers me lately, if anyone can share some insights I will be grateful! Why does the US want to sell gas to europe while it imports it from Russia? Not the same gas?
Yes.
The same gas, plus profits.
What else the ameris care about?
Then can Russia stop selling them that gas? I don’t see the logic in selling your competitor your ressource while he blocks your trade with other customers to sell them your own ressource.
Totally agree.
I think Russians should stop fuelling this schem. Nevertheless, that’s what heppening.
The most of US import from Russia is heavy oil, due to technological issues.
According to Morgan Stanley, “Most American refineries are configured to process heavier crude grades, creating a mismatch with the growing supply of light shale oil being extracted. Refiners have compensated by blending the super light shale oil with gunkier grades, but those heavy crudes are in short supply, says Morgan Stanley. Output from heavy crude producers Venezuela and Mexico is falling, and pipeline bottlenecks are keeping it from being shipped from Canada.”
“Re: Why does the US want to sell gas to europe while it imports it from Russia?… I don’t see the logic in selling your competitor your ressource while he blocks your trade with other customers to sell them your own ressource.”
Hi Thormund, it is about separating EU from Russia at all costs, ending Germano-French industry via uncompetitive costs and shortages, and removing EU as competitor to USA and potential power node of Eurasia – all this very winter. Europa delenda est. Very ambitious and powerful play.
US is doing this even at risk/cost of short term gas shortages in USA itself, it is that important. EU is being sacrificed to maintain USA for a few more years (so they hope), and to sever Eurasian connectivity, especially BRI. And the diabolical part is when the war goes live, both remaining Russian gas and US very limited gas can be summarily stopped, leveling the EU. Hence additional imperative need for Ukraine war.
EU elites are not only being forced to kill off their industries and even portion of population to cold & hunger, via kompromat control files, but as globalists with supranational imperial loyalties they appear willing tools..
Russia is aware of this gas legerdemain but i think it is a recent development, they were honoring preexisting contracts. And they treat all with respect and cannot prevent a society from liquidating itself as we witness.
Already Russia appears to have given up on future European gas prospects, there is excellent upcoming Pepe Escobar article where he indicated Power of Siberia 2 pipeline was signed with China 2 months ago, which taps same gas fields currently going to EU.. Russia has fully turned its face East. So why fight over US rearranging the EU Titanic deck chairs and speeding up collision with the iceberg?
Thanks for your insights. It seems that this situation is lacking logic, and furthermore I just learnt that Germany is selling/giving/pumping gas toward Poland on the same pipe used to receive gas from Russia. Not only they are facing gas shortage + winter and ignoring the needs of their people and economy but they are willingly agravating the overall situation by lowering even more their gas stocks. As President Putin said this is calling “up” “down”.
It really isn’t logical or rational from normal perspective.. However if you consider a dominant portion of elites as foreign compradores, contracted to destroy their own via subterfuge, it makes more sense. Most men will do anything if given suitcases full of cash or gold, including looking away from destruction of their own kind.. and even stronger motivations appear to be passionate irrational ideologies such the Liberal Cult, which weave global links and dependencies to match the secret societies and extremist sects.
The Third Reich provided numerous lessons; it was a test case in many respects, especially for today. Hitler was recruited in Switzerland to destroy both Russians and Germans, by Anglo-Swiss-Jewish banking interests. He was a freemason who waged a crusade against freemasons, he presided over the Holocaust while a hireling of Jewish Zionist bankers, a “father” of the German volk who wasted them by the millions in the meat grinder of the Eastern Front. If you studied his actions and core beliefs rather than his words, he was clearly Germany’s worst enemy. And he mesmerized Germans til nearly the end. Just as Pax America is doing today. Just as British planners knew before WW1 the carnage that would ensue, an unholy bloodletting of their own, they did not hesitate.
Part of it is their satanic worldview, requiring mass human sacrifice, another is class-consciousness and hatred of “useless eaters,” and efforts to periodically cull them, another is imperative to win at all costs against rival elites..
These elites are antihuman, including of their own. And up to today, the average man cannot comprehend the evil prevailing at the top, which plots against them day and night to maintain its position, even more than against foreign enemies! However Truth always triumphs at the end, the issue is at what cost before people accept it.
Merry Christmas to all celebrating western Christmas.
USA pays for Russian oil with $$$. That bolsters the dollar and keeps us dominance. When Europe buys Russian oil it pays with Euro. That is a nono for the US. Russia immediately buys gold with $$$. That is in part why Russia is cross hairs of USA. Europe is as of an enemy to the USA as any other country. But Europe is now useful.
>At the time of writing, 8PM in Moscow, the Russians have received no reply from the US.
There shall be no reply. The West is convinced in its superiority in all fields, (moral. economical, technical, militarily…).
So, nobody there is interesting what Putin has to say, and Russian options are very limited.
I am not happy that it is so.
The west understand only when it is hurt. Decreasing gas export to EU could be a good way.
How can Russia hurt the West? Maybe by exporting weapons to Iran.
Is that you Hillary?
The continuing despicable and bullying behaviours end the year as it began. An Old English saying…. “cheaty come fair.” Ie good always defeats evil. It just takes time for the people to stand up, unite and say, ”enough.” There is no longer anything nice, noble, good or even clean about America today, that stands out.
CNN and little kids! Their behaviour encapsulates all the evil. Has anyone notice the silence and lack of outrage?
It is what it is, America.
Meanwhile for those that do care, Merry Christmas to everyone.
2022 will be the end of the world as we know. Be it war or peace, evil or goodness or silently sliding into oblivion.
The Americans will only accelerate what they intend to do to Russia. Russia’s ultimatum-which-is-not, has ruined their timing and the Americans will have to speed things up. Putin’s statement “..what they think we will just sit and watch and do nothing ..” is absolutely wrong. Let’s put aside fools and imbeciles in American politics, but Americans are pragmatic and certainly expected a response from Russia at some point. Then the Americans would already have everything in place, and the Americans are not going on an adventure until they are sure of the outcome. I’m not talking about “money laundering” from U.S. taxpayers like the 20-year war in Afghanistan. This is a slow motion combined military-economic action against Russia. If rock ‘n roll starts, all of northern Europe will be set on fire and certainly some of the command centers in America. I agree with Lavrov.
A fleet of American LNG tankers sent to Europe:
https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/lng-cargoes-diverted-toward-europe-asia-gas-prices-soar-2021-12-21/
The approximate time of arrivals of these ships, plus 5 more for a total of 15 so, corresponds with the end of the response time of the Americans to the Russian security demands.
I just thought it was interesting, hopefully someone else can elaborate on its significance?
Also interesting is the positioning of USN capital ships (4 days old):
• USS Truman strike group in the (western/central) Mediterranean
• 2 CGS & 1 America Class ESG in Asia pacific
• ARG near Yemen
https://news.usni.org/category/fleet-tracker
Also interesting is the status of Russia’s Black Sea submarine fleet (2 days old)
• 2 available in Black Sea (improved kilo)
• 3 unavailable in maintenance in Black Sea
• 2 available in Syria (improved kilo)
• 1 unavailable in transit
http://www.hisutton.com/Russian-Submarines-Montreux-Problem.html
I’m not sure if these improved kilo submarines are equipped with tsirkons or not, but if I’m not mistaken they can fire kaliber missiles from a submerged position.
Given that the Syrian based subs can operate under Russian air cover, and that said air assets can also fire anti-ship missiles, the eastern med is stocked with significant Russian sea power at the moment.
If shtf it will be telling which way the USS Truman sails – toward Russia to project power or away from those shiny new Russian missiles.
@Liz

Moss-type LNG carrier has a capacity of 135,000 cubic metres
Biggest LNG carrier, MOZAH 266,000 cubic metres
15 ships ~ idealy, 3 million cubic metres monthly → 100 000 cubic meter per day
German LNG consumption 240 million cubic meters per day
German gas storage facilities is around 23 billion cubic meters of gas
Nord Stream2 daily flow:150 million m3
NS1+NS2= German consumption and then some. At many times less cost than shale gas.
I am the biggest fan of Anglos PR, as they can sell BS as chocolate cake. With the cherry on the top.
While you are correct in principle, Blackring, you are off by a few decimal places.
LNG is not the same thing as gas at STP. When the liquid is returned to the gaseous state, that 100 000 m³ will expand to approximately 60 000 000 m³.
But still a trifling fraction of enough gas to run Germany. And the PR is still BS.
Thank you for clarifying what form of gas is in carrier tanks. I suspected it is compressed in some way but couldn’t been able to confirm from the available sources. The process of filling carrier tanks is preety complex (takes long time to fill), and do not looked like gas is in compressed state. Just liquefied and very cold.
If you can provide any links on the topic, I would be grateful.
The pressure on NS2 is 106 bar which roughly translates to 100X at STP, right?
Also it is not clear does German consumption is calculated as LNG, gas from pipeline(at 106 bar), or expanded STP.
The LNG carriers contain liquid gas, refrigerated to a very cold temperature.
I was just using the rule-of-thumb that the volume of a gas is 600x that of the equivalent amount of liquid of the same substance. Probably the number is less for natural gas, since the density of its liquid is quite low.
In any case, there is no way in this physical universe that LNG carriers can supply Germany with enough gas to run their industries and heat their homes.
I suspect the shortfall will become apparent next summer as a shortage of agricultural fertilizer. Most of the fixed nitrogen in our food supply is made from natural gas, and fertilizer plants have been shutting down over the past several months.
2022 is going to be an interesting year.
“I just thought it was interesting, hopefully someone else can elaborate on its significance?”
Largely to encourage a response as your own as outlined by Mr. Rove, and remind old folks of the Marshall plan to encourage hope in the hope of minimising knee trembling that their previous propaganda has caused in small pockets.
Strategically a joke.
And all the while during this expected upcoming conflict the EU poodles will expect their gas supply to continue flowing and their domestic tourist/business flights to route through Russia?
I’d assume the Ukraine’s pipline infrastructure will be one of the first casualties of such conflict — especially given the contracts are basically expiring in a year or so and the Nordstream II is now operationally ready.
Psy Ops as the key to understanding what Russia has been doing lately to force a US-NATO capitulation.
These days ‘cyber warfare’ is all the rage among those doing military threat analysis in geopolitics. Mutually Assured Destruction by launch of ICBMs is passé, vulnerable to ABM systems, although Russia insists its latest variable range hypersonic missiles Avangard, Tsirkon and Kinzhal evade interception and will get the job done. The West does not yet possess hypersonic missiles, whereas it is going full blast on cyber, so that is the talk of the town here.
All of the foregoing ignores a much older martial art that also gets the job done without harming a soul. I have in mind psychological warfare, in military slang “Psy Ops.” In what follows below, I argue that Russian President Vladimir Putin has been applying precisely that art on us these past several weeks and months, with some notable successes already scored and likely more to come in his ongoing pursuit of a US-NATO capitulation, meaning the roll-back of physical threats to Russian national security from the forward positions at Russia’s doorstep presently obtaining…

Putin’s “military-technical” measures if negotiations fail.
https://gilbertdoctorow.com/2021/12/22/putins-military-technical-measures-if-negotiations-fail/
RT:
“As many as 10,000 Western military instructors have been sent to Ukraine to train the Eastern European nation’s soldiers and support its fighting in the Donbass, Moscow has claimed, insisting that 4,000 are Americans.”
Would the Saker wish to comment on this?
It seems to me that the 4,000 Americans are already dead. Russia will strike first at the “support” structures behind the line of contact, will eliminate them, and will target the Americans first. Russia wants to send a message to the United States.
This really is 1870 all over again. The only difference being that Biden cannot flee to Britain to escape capture.
Whatever happens it will not be incremental. It will be sudden and overwhelming.
I hope that the ultimatum will come to nothing. That the US, UK and EU cease to exist in a short time.
EU will continue existing on paper. But yes, their policies, ineptitude and imbecility will turn an economic disaster into a humanitarian disaster. The poverty rate is going up rapido. The BBB/Great reset plans are backfiring. We hear tales of fertilizer production cut which will mean food shortages and a relatively high rate of inflation continuing. Russia has inflation too, but they can always cut exports of wheat, gas, oil and ores holding key metals.
Everything the euro vassals say is not out of their heart, it’s for earning their pay and keep the CIA from publishing something unpleasant. But ability to support an attack war? It’s a completely rotted out structure, they just can’t admit it out loud. A rotten out structure does not wage offensive wars while all the circumstances are unfavorable. Unless being a suicidal maniac.
“Unless being a suicidal maniac.”
There are a lot of them, the chicken hawks, in the US Cogress. This is why there should be a plan to effectively and swiftly “contain” these self-righteous idiots and opportunists.
Don’t you think the fertiliser production decline is done on purpose? Typical globecom behaviour. We do not care who wins the hunger will be blamed on the war or economic warfare depending on which prevails. Exhausted, hungry and stressed population makes less resistant to any yearly reoccurring epidemic attack (aka flu) et voila reduction of population as an “unforeseen” byproduct.
“I hope that the ultimatum will come to nothing. That the US, UK and EU cease to exist in a short time.”
Such a nihilistic delusion.
[Nihilism, definition.
a. Political belief or action that advocates or commits violence or terrorism without discernible constructive goals.]
Russia’s goals is not destructive, it is defensive and constructive. Russia’s goal is to push out and away those who have become a threat to Russia’s “lebensraum,” or as Pat Buchanan well put it,
“Get off our front porch.
Get out of our front yard.
And stay out of our backyard.”
Your vision to “commit violence or terrorism without discernible constructive goals” is precisely the path the “Western partners” hope Russia would take, a M.A.D. (Mutually Assured Destruction) path. Russia will act to cut the potential NATO has built, and continues to build, to launch an attack on Russia from its Western borders with the aim to decapitate any Russian response or resistance.
For Russia that means, if the “Western partners” refuse to negotiate or drag their feet in endless talks, neutralizing Banderastan first, then showing the 3B+PR they will be back to the Stone Age a minute after the first shot, if they dare to even lift a finger. Meanwhile, Russian invitations to the negotiating table will continue, however the “Western partners” might be unable to respond, their teeth chattering from cold for lack of Russian gas. The US/UK already said they are not helping 404 in case of war, what’s the point of attacking them?
Lone Wolf
What should be the best strategy for the active – and righteous – player in this game, Russia?
I – Americans apparently may consider the use of nuclear weapons, so experts say. To consider the possibility of nuclear war is to consider suicide. Therefore, the question becomes how to deal with suicidal people.
II – Those dreams of loss of existence must be a sort of self-sedation, a separation of from the uncertainties and imperfection that surprises us at every action we take. In particular, when we talk about the leadership of a decaying society, those surprises are virtually always negative.
III – Thus Russian actions should be designed to deny to the US leadership their death wish. Deny the numbness of death, through pain coming through the senses.
IV – The opposite of death is the banal continuation of existence, transmitted by pain (and surprise and excitement). The usual gestures for staying alive, namely feeding one’s stomach.
This means acting on trade, finance, and economy in general.
V – Thus Russia, while ready to act militarily in the key area of her Western borders, should force US to move by changing the rules of international economic affairs. This would provide 3 major advantages to Russia:
1 – US will not respond to economic rule changes with nukes;
2 – China can fully participate on this actions; the combined weight of both nations would be shocking.
3 – It is superior to the opening other fronts of military confrontation elsewhere, further away from the close vicinity of Russian borders – like in Venezuela or Cuba. Away from its borders, Russian military would not be able to take full advantage of its reorganization.
Western strategy is to push others into endless string of conflicts. Not to defeat Russia, as they know it is impossible in present state. By instigating war within Europe, multiple goals are achieved:
1. Russia is denied of income from EU +
2. That income is funneled into US BigOil , 5 to10-fold multiplied.
3. EU industry crippled, Oil-taxed and blackmailed by Anglosaxon sphere is removed as competitor.
4. US industry enforced with cheapo immigrant workers finally becomes competitive, hopefully countering China.
5. Russian military assets are depleted. (Wishful thinking)
Anglos are sure they are so smart that nobody sees rough their ruse. By insisting on direct talks with Masters, Russia bringed them into place where they never had been. They always assumed role of “mediator” while helpless victim(s) wasted initiative in pointless diplomatic mind games. Not this time.
No more games.
Destroying Ukraine is pointless, as this is exactly what Anglos want. Ukraine could not stop Russia in its tracks, being in NATO or not. In their death, they will enforce others to perceive Russia as imminent threat. After Ukraine is destroyed, Anglos will instigate clash with 3B+P. In the meantime they can force Germany into 4th Reich.
And here we go again. WW, part 3.
WW2 went well for Anglos, so why wouldn’t make a sequel? Same script, same actors, same director&producer. Alas, life is not a Hollywood blockbuster.
Russians are able to destroy Anglos headquarters, and installations ONLY. To kill their main assets one by one. Remember Syria? First they destroyed command centers, then hubs, then logistics. Anglos couldn’t do anything to counter. What changed since then?
Now Russia have usable hypersonics, and they are not. That puts NATO in the same position as Palestinians in Gaza against Israeli airstrikes. No viable air defense against strong opponent.
Russia is in position to declare NATO installations as threat to national security and to demand abandonment in 48 hours. Bagram style.
Will Russia do it? No. But the fact is IT CAN, and that is huge advantage in “negotiations”.
Merry Christmas!
I’d like to recall, remind, introduce readers to my comment from yesterday about Putin et al having to deal with the puppet masters backstage who manipulate all the politicos we see on stage. Biden, Sullivan, Blinken, et al are all puppets and don’t act independently when it comes to Big Issues like those proposed by Russia. We, the audience, may have some inkling as to the identity of the puppet masters, but I’ll bet the USA’s national debt that the Russians know exactly who they are AND where they work, live, play, and have their hiding places. Recall Putin promising they will be targeted first–or maybe some didn’t know that. I’ll double-down on my bet that those puppet masters don’t like the idea of being vaporized whatsoever and will bend. Putin has famously stated What Russian would want to live in a world without Russia; well, I’ll double-down again and bet that the puppet masters feel the same about their priceless lives–even if they were to survive a nuclear war, what joy would there be living on a devastated planet with its beauty destroyed for generations?
Back in the 1980s, there was a song asking the question: Do the Russians love their children too? About two years ago, I wrote a short article asking if the puppet masters love their children for I could see this historical inflection coming. Now, it’s clear to see that some of the puppets don’t give a damn about their children, Zelensky being one major fool in that regard. Here’s a question we might discover the answer to: If Zelensky goes off the rails and tries to launch an attack on Donbass without the okay of his Master, will he be prevented by a 9mm through the skull?
Remember, the main point is Biden and his crew are the players on the stage, not those having genuine control. And IMO they know the Outlaw US Empire is militarily inferior at this time and in grave danger if ICBMs start flying cause Russia has anti-missile systems that work and weapons the Empire has zero defense against. No, I’m not going to toss my hundreds of billions into the air and say fuck it all. I want to play with that money and enjoy life, not be the first to die for what amounts to nothing.
“Remember, the main point is Biden and his crew are the players on the stage, not those having genuine control”
However many times that is written and read, the fact doesn’t sink in for most, to the point of any real changing of thought process. What is the reason ? It forces long outworn, invalid political, social and economic paradigms to be overturned.
This time, Paul C roberts opinion on the current Russian move and statements is to the point and even harsher than I ever seen before.
Says that uncle Sam will not respect Russia’s whining on unfair treatment from the empire and that a great power doesn’t whine.
What if PCR is correct in his assessments?
Hello, yes, the last PCR article left me with a feeling of uncertainty and concern. A Russian could say that Paul C Roberts does not know the Russian mentality but he does know the Anglo-Saxon neocon mentality. Which he is honestly saying what the American elite thinks. Today more than ever the world is on the edge of Damocles. I want to believe that Putin is waiting for a stupid step from the hawks to hit them on the snout. I think that the CIA and MI6 prepared something for the winter olympic games. Salami tactics are not working now that the king is naked.
Merry Christmas !
CNN is reporting “See where Santa is now with NORAD’s tracker”. Nope, the U.S. propaganda media is not gearing the public for any kind of war. A serious military confrontation is just not in the cards. Besides it is Christmas time. The American public is busy with other things. I take this lack of response from the U.S. government as a green light that the Russians should just go ahead with whatever it is they are thinking of doing. The U.S. is not going to give them any sort of pushback (other than some possible verbal babel.)
Cheers,
Merry Christmas everyone.
What I saw on CNN this afternoon was the visual of Santa’s sleigh somewhere over the Arctic, but with American jets escorting him, to “keep him safe.”
So they’re kinda sorta planning around a military confrontation, or at least some sort of potential strike against Rudolph.
Yes, Nato seems to be piling all/most of its chips in Ukraine. Just my opinion but another war won’t be anything like previous European continental wars. There will be no mobilization of millions, it will not last years. Poland, Baltics and Ukraine might be an obvious exception for mobilizing, but other EU countries are basically hostages under Nato mercenaries. Nato is a league of mercenaries fighting in foreign, occupied countries.
Do they really have any kind of backing? No. Civilians will scatter to the countryside and Nato mercs will be left fighting on their own, relying on a logistical train coming from the USA. I’m pretty sure the majority have no will to be cannon fodder for Nato. This is a conflict between USA/UK and Russia waged on our soil. And then there’s the question of motivation: are Nato mercs really ready to fight defenders of Russia holding every possible advantage. It’s up to them.
USA can’t wait for Putin to be out of the picture because they think they can gain an influence in Russia, specially the younger population. Their plan is to destroy the alliance between China and Russia.
The One-upmanship Phase between Russia and NATO has started, to determine who will drive the next phases in this geopolitical game. The Empire wants to narrow the frame of discussions to that of the Donbass area and not about Russia’s security, NATO expansion and the Empire building.
Putin surprised the Financial Empire by upping the ante and putting forward his proposals. The Russian team has excelled in surprising the Empire, defining the terms, and preparing for various eventualities. Russia has the lead in this geopolitical game. The U$A, NATO & Ukraine are now trying various tricks to thwart this lead, narrow the terms, gain time to strengthen their posture and offer nothing substantial to Russia. In the first meeting itself the Russian team will hopefully gain insights into the Empire’s real intent. Putin will then need to make an important decision of his presidency.
The Empire wants to conduct the negotiations in private so it can change the terms at will or at the end, isn’t held accountable for earlier agreements and buy time to prepare and present its surprise. Russia needs to keep it public and have a joint press conference after each negotiation and make public the agreed terms. The Empire is already working with Ukraine to limit the discussion to just the narrow element of Donbass and doesn’t want to pursue the broader frame of the Russian security and NATO expansion. Russia gets the negotiation & narrative advantage by pursuing its security angle (Putin summarized this well in his conference), where as the Donbass frame will be advantageous to the Empire.
Here comes Ukraine with its ten-stage process for peace. What happened to the Minsk agreement that it had signed? To win this geopolitical game Russia needs to get at least in writing, no NATO expansion to Ukraine and no further expansion, no hostile weapons in its neighborhood and sphere of influence, no harassment of Russian businesses. This is just the minimum to claim success. Putin’s proposal terms are great game changer! Russia needs to achieve them all, along with their full implementation!
Ukraine’s peace proposal for Donbass:
https://www.rt.com/russia/544358-kiev-peace-plan-donbass/
That “peace proposal” isn’t going anywhere. It’s just another attempt by Zelensky to make the negotiations about him and Putin, when Putin has said it’s about Zelensky and the Donbass republics because Russia not a party to the Ukraine’s internal civil war.
Zelensky is incapable of learning that Putin is not going to talk to him – ever – until he fully implements the Minsk Package of Measures – which Zelensky will never do because he can’t without getting kicked out of power by the hardliners, the CIA and the neocons.
The Empire wants to narrow the frame of discussions to that of the Donbass area and not about Russia’s security, NATO expansion and the Empire building.
Exactly. Putin’s security proposals re-frame the whole narrative (favoured by the US) from just the Donbas and mythical “Russian invasion” plans and place the relentless eastward advance of NATO to Russia’s borders at the centre of the narrative, where it rightly belongs. It gives the Ukrainian conflict its true context: the US reneging on its “gentleman’s agreement” not to take advantage of Soviet withdrawal from eastern Europe in the 90s. The true aggressors, US and NATO, are then positioned at centre stage.
i understand the interest of russia good treatys like openskys, iNF or START.
but if there is no real danger of a coming a NATO attack, because the west is not able to organize an attack, why the talking about ultimatums? is it relevant what the west does in the moment? or is it simply the best timing for negotiations because the west is in such a bad shape?
xed,
Please name a nation in the West that isn’t a suzerainty (vassal) of the Financial Empire. What are you doing to make your nation sovereign?
The West has been abusing Russia for more than a century. Why? It craves Russia’s resources so it can be owned by the West and priced in its currencies ($, £, €). Why doesn’t the West want to pay fairly for others resources? How long the West will continue to live off lying and looting? Still the West is in a “bad shape.” What happened?
Russia has been betrayed how many times by the West in the last century? Putin is stating openly, “no more.” This is the reason it wants the agreement in writing and out in public. How has China been betrayed by the U$A with regards to Taiwan? Our world doesn’t trust the Western administrators, as they are puppets at the service of Sauron and Saruman. These Western administrators enslave their own people. Why? The U$A is a plutocracy and majority (97+%) of our money, the US$ is created by the private banks. Why the creation of money by the private banks?
Why do many not question the fact, that the nation’s money supply being in the hands of private coterie is effectively prima facie evidence that the administration is already under the thumb of the private Money Power?
Why should a small private clans of people (Money Power) profit by renting humanity its money supply?
Yes, i also feel, that the democracy in the west is a defacto oligarchy.
the ultimatums are about safty of russia and europe, about the timing of nuclear attack and response. i think the russian position is also in the intresst of the safty of europe. but that was also the case 5 years ago and will be so 5 years in future.
so why do we see ultimatums now? did something happen? a new threat for russia? or is simply the timing good for negotiation?
xed,
The Empire is not in a bad shape. It is relentless, ruthless and reckless. How does one tame such a beast? Main an edge and advantage over it until dismantled?
There are always multiple factors that drive an action. Those multiple factors based on key learnings in this scenario are: Enough of Russia’s patience, Strong Russian position, prior Empire’s Olympics gameplays (08.08.08 & 2014), Putin’s takeaways from the Biden meetings, new administration in Germany, Ukraine’s stratagem, …. What is the primary driving factor?
Putin is taking the lead and getting an edge over the Empire, come the new year. This way Russia can get its security issue resolved and focus on developing its economy (economic sovereignty). What are Russia’s goals for 2030?
Merry Christmas, Saker.
Actually Russia claims 10,000 Western military assets in Ukraine, with “only” 4,000 being US soldiers. That, added to the *ten* NATO military exercises to be held in Ukraine in 2022 is why Putin is pushing these treaties now.
Zelensky is running out of time to start the Donbass war because he’s going to kicked out if he doesn’t. So is Putin – because if he doesn’t move now, the situation will become un-resolvable by end of 2022 when NATO will essentially be installed in Ukraine permanently despite lack of official membership.
Just a festive thought. Apart from wiping NATO off the map in Easter Europe (and futher afield), instead of Russia being blocked from SWIFT, what if Russia took down SWIFT? That would cause a few problems, non?
cdvision,
SWIFT is a 20th century platform. Our world needs a 21st Century payment processing platform designed around CBDC (Central Banking Digital Currencies). SWIFT days are numbered. Russia will do better by pricing its goods and resources in rubles and processing them through its payment platform. Putin can just pass an executive order to accomplish this change. This will create a crisis for the EU and thereby reduce their support for sanctions.
“If Russia took down SWIFT,” then many nations will be disrupted and get mad at Russia. Russia can show leadership with China, India, Asia, Africa, LATAM & ME to create an open payment platform around CBDC. The U$A is five years behind in this payment space. The best way to define the future is to create it!
” Our world needs a 21st Century payment processing platform designed around CBDC (Central Banking Digital Currencies).”
Please god, NOOOOOOO! (sorry for shouting, but I submit it is more than justified)
That would only usher in a dystopian nightmare of central control over the actions of every single individual within its reach. It is the wet dream of the Klaus Shwab WEF mob.
Max, you really do need to raise your gaze and survey the territory you are travelling through. It is far more dangerous than you appear to have realised.
Right. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Russia has already rejected the Digital remedy as they can see through the Trap. There is an ongoing division between West and East and the parting of these economies where Gold will re-emerge as Currency. Meaning, no Gold will mean you cannot purchase as the Fiat Dollar will be about dead.
You suggestion signals the retention of American Frankenstein Empire as Mary Shelley explained.
Dear Max,
I read your posts and usually enjoy their insights. But i need to shout out like eagle eye!
Just because everybody is doing it (being brainwashed and manipulated into doing it really) doesn’t mean it is right or acceptable. CBDCs are an overt increase in the level of oppression!
Carstens, one of the key Banksters at the BIS (as you know it is the central bank of central banks) spilled the beans in October 2020:
“We don’t know who’s using a $100 bill today and we don’t know who’s using a 1,000 peso bill today. The key difference with the CBDC is the central bank will have absolute control on the rules and regulations 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙨𝙚 of that expression of central bank liability, and also 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩.”
https://www.dcforecasts.com/altcoin-news/bis-strives-for-absolute-control-of-your-money-via-cbdcs/
Is it clear? This is not mere surveillance.. And there is nothing subtle about this! You will be told HOW, WHERE and WHEN you are permitted to use this “currency.” As with child lock systems, you shall not have access outside of permitted parameters (products A,B,C, or up to amount X or distance Y from your home, or as long as you maintain social credit score Z, etc..). An absolute slavery system.
Would you currently entrust your cash wallet or savings to a complete stranger, who also happens to have a 500-year track record of pillage, embezzlement and other forms of gangsterism?
However, given how meekly most are lining up to be injected every 3 months (soon to be monthly), there appears to be little hope of resistance in Zone A. Perhaps Patrick Henry’s exhortation has been amended to be, “Give me Security or give them Death” ? Incidentally, I hope you realize CBDCs with every human as collateral is the end game of the current global health crisis?
Lastly, we shouldn’t be fooled by the contemporary legality and lawful systems of Zone B. CBDCs are constructs of absolute control; to this Lord Acton reminds us, absolute power corrupts absolutely. If they also adopt CBDCs, eventually a corrupt generation will arise who will have the same contempt for their peoples as AZ Empire does now, and use this tool to oppress. To use an analogy you will appreciate, this technocratic digital dystopia aims to recast not merely the One Ring, but the very iron foundations of Thangorodrim!
I was considering an abrupt de-dollarization, by the refusal to accept dollars. Other than a similar rejection of SWIFT, by which mechanisms would you do that take down?
I know SWIFT is somewhat ancient, but I’m assuming its not messages sent by pigeon? If its electronic, then its eminently stoppable.
I was not considering a take down by direct acts of war, but starting the fizzling out of its use, by a block of nations including Russia and China, accepting only an alternative system of trade.
Russia, and particularly Vladimir Putin, have been leading the De-Dollarization angle. It seems to have thought through on multiple dimensions and gotten multiple elements (timing, surprise, framing, terms, posture,… ) right this time!
SWIFT’s significance has been reduced and multiple global payment networks exist now. In 2014 it was only SWIFT. Our world is in a better position. The Empire will be shooting itself in the foot, if it cuts off Russia from the SWIFT. Every nation will soon start using multiple payment networks. They will see the evil conduct of the Empire, which will accelerate the alternate global payment networks usage!
eagle eye, Klaus Schwab can keep on dreaming but isn’t succeeding with the great reset. I know the payment space well. There are two main spheres: external and internal. In the external global arena CBDC are good as it provides better visibility to a nation and see who are attacking its currency. Most of the payment transactions have already been digitized in the international arena. When it comes to the internal sphere, here too in many nations all large transactions, bill payments, credit card transactions,… have been digitized and reported to agencies . It is only less than $100 cash or cash business transactions that aren’t accounted for. What % of transactions are those payments? Which of your payments aren’t accounted for in your credit score? Trying leaving the U$A with more than $10,000 in cash or withdraw more than $20,000 from your bank account and see what happens. The administration has insights into most of your payments. Similarly, your digital service providers have a great knowledge of all the locations you visits. How do you achieve personal privacy in such an environment? Go analog? Cash will exist in the CBDC world but less than 1% of transactions.
Max,
While the privacy aspect of what you are describing is odious, what I am far, far more concerned about is the capacity for some algo to decide what I will or will not be allowed to purchase based on other aspects of my life, such as whether I have viewed this website, or whether I have refused to be treated with an unproven, potentially fatal compound my ‘betters” have ruled I must accept. The system you are describing allows that dystopian nightmare to be brought into being, and objecting to its implementation is a hill worthy of dying on, in my humble opinion. What I just described is slavery, without the whips and overseers in obvious attendance.
As I saw elsewhere today, the antidote to 1984 is 1776.
RT says: “US ready to negotiate with Russia on security – White House”
https://www.rt.com/russia/544297-us-willing-discuss-security-moscow/
A week after the Russian Foreign Ministry submitted a list of security proposals to the US and NATO, America has said it is willing to negotiate.
Washington is willing to talking to Russia about the list of security guarantees proposed by Moscow, and officials can sit down for discussions in January, the White House revealed on Thursday.
The United States of “America has said it is willing to negotiate.”
Unfortunately to the U$A every agreement is a license to negotiate. That’s where this trouble started: an agreement by the U$A not to move NATZO Eastward.
“That’s where this trouble started:”
No this trouble started from at least The Treaty of Versailles in 1919 and the use of ethnic nationalism in attempt to divide an rule, although Mr. Suslov chose 1922 “after” the Russian Civil War, the creation of the Soviet Union, and the Hoover programmes of famine relief, but some others would suggest 1619 with the foundation of Jamestown.
There is a saying in certain fora in the Russian Federation that when trouble happens the Germans try to find a solution whilst the Anglo-Saxons try to find someone to blame, this not being prevalent in the Soviet Union since they also followed this practice – enemies-of-the-peopleness refers – trying to establish where this trouble started often was often pursued to establish enemies-of-the-peopleness- a practice not restricted to The Soviet Union, in attempts to deflect focus on finding a solution whilst appearing to be making efforts to find the solution – Mr. Stalin’s observation of no man-no problem refers.
Mr. Marx makes this point in his theses on Feuerbach which I paraphrase – Philiosophers here to fore have merely described the world – the purpose is to change it.
Component parts of the reasons why the Soviet Union is subject to an ongoing process of transcendence by the Russian Federation is that as part of the attempted reform of the Soviet Union by perestroika first and glasnot later routes by useful fools, the acceptance of verbal and written “assurances” of opponents were held to be “sufficient” and perceived as necessary to facilitate reform, and that others had been preparing since 1969 for just such an “eventuality”, increasing the understanding of increasing sum of some that The Soviet Union was unsustainable facilitating its implosion.
The ongoing attempted colour revolutions by the coercive social relations self-misreprested as “The United States of America” in the former Soviet Union accelerated the ongoing transcendence of The Soviet Union by the Russian Federation and the ongoing transcendence of “The United States of America” by the Russian Federation and others with whom they are federated in a different form than “The United States of America” are federated, with the complicity of “The United States of America” – hence one of the reasons for the usage of “partners” by some to describe “The United States of America” – although thanking them for their service was deemed to be culturally offensive, and best left undone.
To return to Mr. Suslov.
Some perceived the rhyming of Mr. Hoover’s efforts in 1922 with a self-perceived princess who sold the party line on PBS re “Ukraine” yesterday, and dispensed plain bulkas, but forgot the salt and something to drink, to lesser beings in Independence Square half-way up Kreshatik in 2014, whilst an increasing sum of some implemented strategies in the understanding that the purpose was/is to change it (laterally) -(not emulate it).
Keep asking why, you might get somewhere useful. Why is the purpose to change it? Change it to whose benefit? That is the question that needs answering.
If NATO does not stop, Russia will stop NATO.
We should have peaceful friendly diplomatic & trade relationships with Russians! I am proudly an opponent of war with Russians
Italy as a country counts nothing but Italian and Russian people have always been in very friendly terms, many Italian singers are very popular in Russia, even my poor grandmother she disliked American presidents as they were very arrogant but she had a genuine sympathy for Gorbachev! Among the cities in Russia still named after a communist leader there is one named after Togliatti, the former Italian communist leader, and is the only one named after a foreign one. Even more recently there was a genuine friendship between Putin and Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi (who was of course ousted from power in 2011 when the disgrace for my poor native country started)
There is no more room for ‘maybe’ they’ll do this or that, they have to do something.
I wonder if those chemicals weapons specialists were given antidotes for lead.
The war party owns a lot of things in the country.
Owns the congress, Media, foggy bottom, Houston oilers, NFL ads,
a bunch of Justices.(of course the pentagon and the 17 sisters are just domestic things). Oh, and owns the very minds of over 200 million people from coast to coast.
I ve got serious doubts whether they own the Pharma as well, but no problem on that detail ’cause when the guys need some chemicals to perform a false flag attack abroad, they usually pick them around pretty cheap.
Do you know how many WAR VETERANS does have the country who is chargin russia of 90 k soldiers on the border of ”their” Ukraine?
22.000.000 – yes, 22 million of them, and from official govt statistics.
I will spare you from count of the ”personnel” of the 700 or 800 plus US bases bordering and infesting other countries because it would be fair a comparison.
But much worse of a reality.

Deploy the Belgorod with its Poseidons
Not an option. Not ready at all according to TASS https://tass.ru/armiya-i-opk/13299517
It’s not really necessary. It just exists to make the point even more strongly. A single Borei submarine can carry 16 Bulava missiles, each with 10 warheads, each with 150K ton yield. That is,160 explosions, each equivalent to 300 million pounds of TNT. People cannot comprehend nuclear weapons or a nuclear war. It would be the end of everything.
MOSCOW (Reuters) – More than 10,000 Russian troops have been returning to their permanent bases after month-long drills near Ukraine, Interfax news agency reported on Saturday, citing the Russian military.
Again, Putin is bowing and trying to be constructive. He wants to show his willingness for cooperation. Terrible mistake in judging The West. They consider it a sign of weakness.
Handels Messiah was a direct quote of King David’s (NASB) Psalm 2.1-4 and was cited out loud in unison by the apostles Peter and John along with their believing companions in Acts 4.25-28. Doing so to confirm this Psalm was perfectly fufilled when Jesus was arrested, falsely charged and executed.
Maranatha!!
I think not. If you think Russians are bowing under pressure it’s probably because you can’t tell shit from shinola. The far more likely explanation (because it fits historical facts) is the one by Gilbert Doctorow, already linked to somewhere above:
https://gilbertdoctorow.com/2021/12/24/psy-ops-as-the-key-to-understanding-what-russia-has-been-doing-lately-to-force-a-us-nato-capitulation/amp/
“Terrible mistake in judging The West. They consider it a sign of weakness.”
He knows that. See the Battle of Cannae. Mr. Putin has laid a trap knowing that his enemy must demonstrate that he cannot tell them what to do.
He baited the trap and then showed apparent weakness. Now he waits for his prey to cross the red line.
The Russian Ultimatum is for sure a final sign the 20th century Geo-Politics is gone FOREVER. But It is also an authentic move that commences the definition of the 21st century.
I’m wondering about these chemical weapons. Now, at least in most Western countries, chemical weapons are considered a Weapon of Mass Destruction, and an attack with one WMD is answerable by another WMD – often nuclear.
If citizens of the Russian Federation are attacked and killed by chemical weapons – will Russia respond “in kind”?
Those chemical weapons are not meant to be used against Novorussian military.
They will poison Ukraine civilians, and accuse Russians for doing it.
I believe that if a red line has been drawn (and the statements of mr Putin and mr Lavrov are absolutely clear in this regard) there is only one way to accomplish this: a preemptive strike on any military installation that threatens Russia from Ukrainian territory (I would call it the Israeli method).
I would like to remind you that a few months ago, mrs. Nuland and the head of the CIA went to Moscow. What did they want? no one knows, I believe that Americans want that Russia is moving away, in any way, from China. Meanwhile the pressure in the Donbass and the Black Sea has increased significantly, the Russian response consisted of massing troops on the Ukrainian border to help the LDR in the event of a Ukrainian attack (I would also add the refugee crisis on the border between Belarus and Poland). The United States has threatened to bring Ukraine into NATO and a massive press campaign was launched to denounce Russia’s aggressive posture. At this point Russia drew the red line and used the residual diplomatic channels to communicate its intentions to the Americans.
In the face of the Russian stiffening, the Americans asked for a meeting between the two presidents to bring home some diplomatic result at the end of the day; Russia, for its part, reiterated its position and asked for the written renunciation of further NATO expansions as a precondition for sitting at the negotiating table. Now the next move is up to the US: adopting a wait-and-see tactic would not change the situation if, as I believe, Russia threatened to destroy Western military bases on Ukrainian territory before they become operational.
If my hypotheses are correct, evidently the Russian leadership is convinced, as you have been saying for some time, that it has acquired both tactical and strategic military superiority (for me in addition to kinetic weapons, the possible compromise of American systems following the “solar winds” cyber attack remains to be considered).
Furthermore, with regard to the terrible economic consequences threatened by Mr. Biden it is evident that Russia can rely on the unconditional help of China.
Greetings to you all
It seems you have unable to grasp the seriousness of the present situation and the reason seems to be you do not know what happened in WW II Western deliberate planned invasion of the USSR by Nazi Germany. There is much to be said in contradiction of MSM. However, see article written by Shane Quinn titled, “History of World War II: 80 Years Ago, The battle of Moscow”. Understand, no Russia Leader must permit a repetition of this type of move against Russia ever.
Ukraine, is only a pawn set on the American/Nato Chess Board. The West must leave the areas surrounding Russia even as far as Camp Bond Steel in one region among others. Those armed with Nukes on the Continent must dismantle of else.
4,000 “military advisors” is two DIVISIONS. Holy cow.
A division is roughly 15,000 soldiers, and be a lot more.
I suspect the Kremlin has handed the USA a cord tied to a bomb trigger, with a sign that says “DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PULL THIS CORD”. USA cannot bear being told what to do, so they pull the cord and BOOM. “Ve tolt you not to pull ze cort.”
Translation – Russia needs a justification to discredit the USA without starting WWIII. The Ultimatum drew some red lines, which are cords tied to bomb triggers. If the USA crosses the lines, as they surely will, BOOM. They will get hammered locally, conventionally, in a way that does not start WWIII, but makes the USA look like idiots who cannot protect their own military assets.
Note that one of the red lines was surveillance flights near the Russian border. Another was ships transgressing Russian territorial waters. Both the USA and UK violated Crimean waters last year. If they do it in 2022 they will he sent to the bottom.
A possible denouement. In the final analysis the ultimatum is: “Don’t deploy significant offensive weapons near our borders. If you do, we will react militarily.” I’m sure the US military industrial complex big shots read this and popped open champagne bottles. US response will be: Putin is saying crazy things again! Gotta increase defense spending! Behind the scenes: Relax Vlad. If you’re that upset, ok, we won’t deploy significant offensive weapons close to your borders. We won’t agree publicly to anything, but we get your point. But we’re not signing anything–and no new treaties. We love tension. We love stoking fear in our own people. It keeps the defense dollars flowing to our donors and keeps our people distracted. Best regards, Joe and the gang.
Russian Security Proposals vs Unipolar Sabre rattling: What’s Next?
In this experts geopolitical roundtable hosted by Dr. Edward Lozansky and the American University in Moscow, the topic of Russia’s response to NATO aggression was discussed at length.
What is the logic governing the western unipolar system and how does the the multipolar alliance emerging around Russia, China and Iran’s partnership present two separate and incompatible operating systems to the world? What is Ukraine’s role in this process? What should Putin do when faced with war drums beating on his southern frontier? These questions and much more are discussed from military, economic, and diplomatic levels.
The speakers at the event included Alex Krainer (economist thenakedhedgie.com), Jeremy Kuzmarov (editor of Covert Action Magazine), Jim Jatras (analyst, former advisor to republican party), Glenn Diessen (editor of Russia in Foreign Affairs), Peter Kuznik, Martin Sieff (writer for China Daily), Mila Melnichuk (advisor to the Ukrainian government), and the Rising Tide Foundation’s Matthew Ehret.

Very dangerous and inappropriate situation in Ukraine.
UKN is being used by evil EU forces using their running dog (the US) to attack Russia.
You would have thought the people in UKN would see thru all this.
And you can bet Soros will have been the bagman bribing UKN officials in this.
The history of the past 500 years has shown the EU elites are the source of all these problems, using their own common people as cannon fodder in various wars in their relentless push eastward. This will not stop until those elites are removed.
I do not think this is really a good idea….we know how” reliable” USA intelligence is
“Pentagon is considering giving Ukraine real-time “actionable” battlefield intelligence which would allow the Ukrainian military to quickly respond to a potential Russian invasion, but which also carries the risk of a preemptive first strike by Kiev, the New York Times reports, citing Biden administration officials. The paper’s sources say the data would include real-time information such as images of Russian troops “moving across the border,” which NY claims “could enable the Ukrainian military to head off an attack” if shared in time. One person said US intelligence agencies are already giving Ukraine more data than before the suspected “Russian buildup,” which Western officials and media began reporting on earlier this year. NYT’s sources admitted that one sticking point for giving Ukraine the real-time intelligence data was the danger of a Ukrainian first strike directed against Russia. “The number one thing we can do is real time actionable intelligence that says, ‘The Russians are coming over the berm’,” former Obama-era deputy assistant secretary of defence Evelyn Farkas told the newspaper. “We tell them, and they use that to target the Russians,” she said. Along with intelligence support, sources say Washington has proposed redirecting helicopters and other equipment salvaged from Afghanistan to the Ukrainians, and the deployment of additional cyberwarfare experts to the Eastern European country…..”
Sputniknews
The problem the Ukrainians will have is receiving that intel when all communications over most of Ukraine have been ECM’d out of existence which will happen in the first minutes of a Russian attack.
Also, there won’t be any Russian columns coming over the border until the stand-off weapons and missiles have annihilated most of the Ukrainian forces available to counter them.
So, as usual, the US “just doesn’t get modern warfare”, as Martyanov continually emphasizes.
“… The paper’s sources say the data would include real-time information such as images of Russian troops “moving across the border,” which NY claims “could enable the Ukrainian military to head off an attack” if shared in time…”
That is beginning to look doubtful. The European Space Agency released a statement about an anti-satellite weapon of “unknown origin” that disabled a NATO satellite surveilling Russian troops on the border with Ukraine.
“The Copernicus Sentinel-1B satellite is not available since December 23, 2021 at 06:53, no data is generated. Following the relevant news from December 23, 2021, a detailed investigation was carried out….”

Repairing the satellite may take “up to two weeks,” during which time NATO will be blind about Russian movements.
Good luck with the repairs. :-)

The Russians should just fire one of those Satan or Sarmat loaded with fireworks or whatever above New York just like North Korea does with Japan. Nobody fucks with North Koreans, Russians are always so soft, it drives me crazy, Russia doesn’t need anyone, but lets everyone kick it like a teary-eyed puppy. Soo frustrating!!
Americans were really scared when Rocketman threatened to nuke the White House!! The Norkies have the most exciting news forecasts, love them, even more exciting than Latin American weather forecast girls.
Since Trump made a peace deal with Kim, the Americans gained a huge respect for North Korea. The west does not respect Russia or Putin.
I see the RT/DE has article “Emir Kusturica zu RT: “Der Dritte Weltkrieg beginnt, wenn man Satelliten abschaltet” ”
Maybe he’s right, but I recall that last April there was story claim that Russia “flashed” the imperial spy birds, they were warned, not ruined.
And I see claim that imperial intel is coordinating nazi military in 404. This time maybe burn electro-eyes.
In such method the danger of killing persons, which can lead to uncontrolled outcome, is eliminated.
Overall, violence is very hard to contain. Laserfry-Satbird-eye permit some control, and send message.
Of course if it gets going, satbirds would be destroyed, as Emir Kusturica says.

Yes! Thank You Amigo!
Interested persons should read article at link Comrade Tec gave.

“…The open espionage of NATO space systems for Russian military equipment, units and deployment sites of Russian troops on Russian territory has long annoyed (albeit skillfully stopped) the Russian Ministry of Defense, about which the “probable partners” from NATO were repeatedly notified. But since our Western “sworn friends” are either immensely stupid, or even more presumptuous, the requests to “behave decently”, within the framework of reasonable bilateral relations and actions expressed by the Russian Ministry of Defense, did not induce the parquet generals of NATO to take the necessary actions within the boundaries of the BILATERAL security.
At the moment, no direct evidence of the involvement of Russian electronic warfare forces deployed in the southwestern direction has been found in this incident.
But NATO head Jens Stoltenberg announced yesterday (December 25, 2021) about the decision to convene a meeting of the NATO-Russia Council on January 12, 2022.

As reported by ESA (European Space Agency):
“The Copernicus Sentinel-1B satellite has been unavailable since 12/23/2021, from 06:53 p.m., no data is generated…”
I don´t know who´s responsible, but the “usual suspects” (Russia, China, Iran and Korea) are being cited by the rumour mill. Here at 19S, 42W, the American Global Positioning System (GPS) has ceased to function. Fortunately, most all the “GPS” receivers available in Brasil also work with the Russian (GLONASS) system, which is still fully operational.

The CIA’s man (one of many) at the New York Times, Andrew Kramer, writes an article entitled, “As Russian Threat Looms, Ukraine’s Government Is No Laughing Matter”, the gist of which is that Volodymyr Zelensky is not qualified to lead Ukraine. As the saying goes, Mr. Zelensky should not buy green bananas. Those whom the CIA hates die young, before their time.
This all raises the question what specifically has Mr. Zelensky done recently to anger the CIA? Off hand, I would say that he has resisted CIA orders to invade the East. Perhaps he has even had the temerity to say to the CIA, you want war so badly, why don’t you fight it? This will never do. I give him a month at most, and then… He certainly has my prayers.
The recent withdrawal of 10,000 Russian troops from the Ukraine front (whatever that means) is to permit them to celebrate the Orthodox Christmas and for the country to observe it in general. I hope the CIA is lighting cigars over that.
Unfortunately, whoever replaces him is likely to be both 1) more accommodating to the CIA, and 2) less cordial to Russia. That’s not going to help anything. Meanwhile, since he knows his days are numbered, I think he will go for a “Hail, Mary” and do what the CIA wants: launch another offensive. That’s the only way to stay in good with all the parties.
“This all raises the question what specifically has Mr. Zelensky done recently to anger the CIA?”
Perhaps that is not the question as there are more than one question framed with and without resort to “emotionalism” to explore, as history suggests?
Perhaps among the questions are – if the former asset has become a liability, how can this liability be turned into an asset – and how can this asset facilitate a greater return on our investment ?
Questions which may be useful portals to explore “backstops” could include, but not be restricted to – Whatever happened to Stepan Bandera ? – Whatever happened to Mr. Mitrione ? – “How did Mr. Guevara become a popular poster ?
I compare the military power of today’s countries with the paris-dackar rally: a lot of advertising from all vehicle manufacturers, but in the end who always wins are the Kamaz paths.
The western satanists will not reply , smoke and mirrors, they take orders from the devil pope , still
