Restrained and dignified in spite of the outrages against his country and his fellow countrymen. Compare with strutting Obama’s baseless allegations about other leaders (Putin’s popularity compared with that of Saddam Hussein).
“Compare with strutting Obama’s baseless allegations about other leaders (Putin’s popularity compared with that of Saddam Hussein)”
Deplorable, for sure.
But since you brought it up, it just gives me the opportunity to ask three questions nagging at me [and not just at you, but the Saker community in general] since I saw that particularly shameful episode:
1- Can either him or Hitlery or any of their cheerleaders go-on in just the one. One is all I ask – public appearance without mentioning Russia, or Russians, or Putin?
Is it just me? Why do I this feeling these globalist drones are all becoming like toy-dolls with a string at the back, and when you pull it, all it comes out it’s these pre-recorded messages: “Putin” – “Russia” – “Kremlin” – “Russian hackers” – “Russian cheating Olympic Athletes dopes” [etc, etc]
The new one is… some American doctor came out saying [because of the recent health issues with the anointed witch, wildly broadcasted everywhere] that there was a chance that Hitlery has been poisoned by Putin, and that he, as an MD, highly recommended a blood test to rule out any poisoning agents on her system.
I mean… the madness never ends!
2- What the hell is an outgoing POTUS – and a lame duck one, at that – doing campaigning on behalf of another presidential candidate? Is there a precedent for this? I don’t know! I ask because I’ve only been familiar with American presidential campaigns in the last, say, 15 to 20 years, but no more than that. And I’m pretty confident that several countries around the world have rules against stuff like that.
An acting president has all the funds and power of the State to campaign freely for someone he’s passing the baton-on, while the opposition party might be lacking in funds and if not in power, they certainly won’t have the power either. That’s why some countries have those rules in place, and with very good reason.
They might allow endorsement by the president of the next one in line in the party, that’s pretty standard procedure, but actually campaigning on behalf of the next guy? How is this even allowed – legally speaking?!? (It makes me wanna tear my hear out).
3- What’s up with this Obongo guy now? Is he trying to impersonate a stand-up comedian or something? Have you guys seen his style of delivery at that “speech” of his?
This is like his stunt of dropping a mike on the floor before exiting the stage, like some rappers do.
I mean, imagine someone as Mr. Assad doing something like that (of course he wouldn’t, he’s far too classy for displays of such vulgar nature), but imagine how he would be mauled by the western MSM for months if he did, if not forever referred to as the deranged microphone-dropping dictator. Just like all the “tin-pot” [‘tin-pot’ also being a derogatory term they came-up with as well] dictators they’ve vilified in the past.
The frightening thought is that most of those are dead now, by one ‘plausible’ deniable “reason” or another, like Chavez dying far way too young from some random cancer. Yet, ancient, living-walking-mummies like Soros, Cheney, Bush Sr. or Kissinger seem to keep going-on for years and years…
So, just as your moniker: Hmm – hmm indeed my friend.

PS: plus, thanks for bringing this up. I didn’t know where to park these nagging thoughts of mine, because I hate to go off-topic on this comment boards for no reason.
“some American doctor came out saying …. that there was a chance that Hitlery has been poisoned by Putin,<
It’s projection…accusing someone else or some other country of doing things the accuser itself is doing. Also, the spate of cancer and other mysterious sicknesses – such as Castro’s sudden sickness after taking some food during a South American visit and of course Hugo Chavez’s deaths and so on – has to be deflected somehow.
It is clear that he has the love of his people and his existence has been maintained by the people’s love of their nation. They continue to fight, suffer and die for the nation, not because he is some dictator who uses them.
We can hope Syria finds an end to this horror inflicted on it by the US and Clinton, the Khazarians and the warmongers, the evil Wahhabis and their keepers, the dog kingdoms of SA and Qatar, and the fool in Ankara.
They’ve always underestimated the humble dentist, but only to their detriment!
And of course it must be borne in mind that Assad could have had a relatively charmed and easy life if he threw Iran, Hezbollah and the Palestinians under the bus and become a leader without dignity, like his counterparts in the Gulf.
Long ago however, he chose dignity over subservience and resistance over collusion, and he did this with the full knowledge of all the implications.
Respect and congratulations to President Assad and the Syrian people!
Corollary question: Are people like Assad and Putin really of the same species as the West’s degenerates? Becomes ever harder to believe with each passing day.
OK, I’ll play along with the polemic. Except to say inter-species breeding is possible, as my two sons are half Russian. And one of my long time acquaintances is pure Syrian, but his children are half ‘Murican.
Were Neanderthals able to crossbreed with Cro-Magnon man??
Is Homo Sapiens now splitting into several variants that eventually will be unable to cross-breed?
Or are Jim in Olym and Jim in NH, and maybe me, a hybrid that can escape the new classification, Homo Dumbshiticus Imperialisticus?
I was so freaked out by the immediate prospects of my species’ extinction that I lost 10 points of identity right off the top.
With a short meditation session, I’m back to 93. Ommmmmm.
Seriously, I am inspired by Bashar’s calm and no bs speech to his adversaries to attempt to reach 1/10 of his level of serenity amidst chaos, truth amidst lies, firm compassion and self-defense in the face of hateful aggression and deceit.
View count on youtube for the video: 330 (a little short of “millions of watcher” right now. Maybe we just need to give it some time…)
But to me this does not look like a calm, confident speech. Nothing “relieved and happy” to see here. To me they all, including Assad, look subtly stressed, tired and tense, bordering on scared. The speech, however, makes a lot of sense.
I too cannot wait to see the rise of the kind of freedom that does not “begin and end with a fistful of dollars”.
I am all the way in Oaxaca, Mexico, and I’ve watched the vide, probably out of 150 million Mexican I will be the only one, but it does not matter, since I have been able to change hundred of views regarding the situation and I am sure many people feel more empowered with the knowledge i have imparted and will themselves wake up the urgency to know more on some other people as well, making a chain. In the US probably a 1000 to 10,000 people will watch the video, most sold out journalists and politicians, but with just a few honest viewers it would be enough to start waking more people up.
I wish and hope in God that Syria will be without this dark forces soon enough, and that Assad will remain strong, and that there will be elections when the time comes with inspectors form all over the world and we see another overwhelming win by Assad, he definitely is a great leader, one of the very few in the this world that suffers from a crisis of real strong leadership. Assad has been going against most of the Western world and Middle East almost all by himself fro the majority of this conflict, nad has been able to pull through.
In my experience, Mexican Americans are much freer of mind control than fellow anglos. And I was told Los Angeles is the 3rd largest population of Mexicans, after el Distrito Federal, and Guadalajara.
Just spent the last week working with and talking world politics with a skilled
carpenter/construction foreman from Nayarit. Fertile ground for these ideas and a very well formed intellect for a man who works hard with his hands, and has, all his life.
After all the years of the US waging war against Assad, this is the first time I can remember hearing him speak; in other words the “free press” in the US does not allow such images and words to aired in the US, and probable in the rest of the West (EU, etc). The same goes for Putin . . . when was the last time a speech or news conference given by Putin was aired in the West? Never, you only get the presstitute talking heads to provide their interpretation of his words.
After all, they wouldn’t want to undermine support for endless war.
Who seeing this would not wish Mr Assad and his heroic nation God speed and total victory over the barbarians – because that’s what this war is – the front line between civilisation and western Zionist barbarism,
This is the line in the sand.

Well self loathiing makes “Them” even sicker than they can ever make you, especialy if you (oldnik 007) regularly self-cleanse by releasing such negative, stressful effects through regular meditation, prayer, nature walks, travel etc.
I am finally getting around to attempting more depth on that front and giving a better answer than 2-3 weeks ago, when you asked for more to be flushed out on that subject.Should be able to get it out Saturday.
Now, these underlying emotional, psychological, spiritual matters do comprise a fabric, a tapestry, if you will, that pertains to this shameful area of the psychopathic priests of empire, and the beginning thread of that dirty underwear is a cafe or two back, in a comment I called “skivvies”.
Pick up the beginning thread there and I will warm up the loom to attempt to complete an illustrative example of the rotting fruit in their lower drawers.
I (and I am sure that there are thousands of people who feel the same) could not believe for a second that normal Syrian people would consider Assad a ‘butcher’ and the head-chopping, liver-eating ‘freedom fighters’ as the ‘victims’ of Jack the Ripper Assad.
“The Russian General Staff reported that US-backed ‘opposition forces’ have violated the ceasefire regime 23 time since its implementation. The US-backed ‘moderate groups’ have shelled both residential areas and positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). As result, 6 people were killed in Aleppo and 10 wounded.
Russian and Syrian officers in Syria fell under fire while giving a report from Aleppo during a conference video call between Moscow and Russia’s reconciliation center at the Khmeimin base in Syria. The incident took place at the Russia-led observation point at the Castello Highway. The incident clearly shows the real level of implementation of the nationwide ceasefire by the US-backed side.
On September 13, the Russian military has established an observation point at the Castello Highway and deployed operative groups in the Hama countryside. Additionally, the Russian military send artillery target intelligence assets to the city of Aleppo to register military barrages and ceasefire violations.
The Syrian Defense Ministry has issued a formal warning to the Turkish Armed Forces regarding breaches of Syrian airspace and a lack of communication with Damascus. Syria says that any Turkish aircraft that enters Syrian airspace without prior approval will become a target of the air defense forces.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry has also informed that Syrian will not allow any humanitarian aid, especially provided by Ankara, to enter Aleppo without coordination with the Syrian government and the United Nations. This move aims to prevent military supplies to terrorists in Aleppo.”

“AlMasdarNews reports: A massive convoy of reinforcements from the Al-Sweida Governorate arrived in the Golan Heights today after the jihadist rebels mobilized more fighters to launch a 4th offensive.
According to a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) source, the government convoy was made up of fighters from the National Defense Forces (NDF), Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), Jaysh Al-Muwahiddeen (Druze militia), and the 5th Armored Division.
Most of the non-army reinforcements are volunteers from the Al-Sweida Governorate that traveled to the Golan Heights to protect their people from the jihadist rebels.
Similar to Al-Sweida, Jabal Al-Sheikh’s (Mount Hermon) population is mostly Syrian Druze, making their communities very close; this is one of the reasons why several fighters volunteered to protect this area from jihadist rebels.”

“US and Russia agree to extend the “quiet mode” in Syria for another 2 days.
According to State Department spokesman Mark Toner, Moscow and Washington agreed, despite periodic ceasefire violations. He noted that the fixed violations “both sides” of the conflict, including government forces. Thus the representative of the State Department declined to estimate what kind of side longer violates the “quiet mode.”
In the case of serious violations of the truce in Syria, by agreement between Russia and the United States it can start counting again on the new seven days, said Toner. “In case there are reliable data that will enable the United States and Russia to conclude that there are serious violations, the clock can be reinstalled,” – said Toner. He also said that the US does not plan joint operations with Russia against the IG in Syria, we are talking about the fight against “Al-Nusra” in certain areas.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed during a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State John Kerry the progress of the US-Russian agreement to consolidate the ceasefire in Syria. “They discussed the progress of the Russian-American agreement on 9 September to consolidate a truce in Syria, to ensure humanitarian access and the joint fight against the terrorists of the” Dzhabhat en-Nusra “and LIH”, – said in a statement on the Russian MFA website.
Lavrov stressed the need for early implementation US promises of demarcation of wards Washington moderate opposition groups from “Dzhabhat en-Nusra” and those groups that actually merged with the division of “Al-Qaeda”.
The US State Department said they did not consider it necessary to publish the details of the agreement on the establishment of a cease-fire in Syria, said the official representative of the US Department of State Mark Toner. “It contains a lot of detail, which can use the forces that want to disrupt the agreement”, – he said.
The agreement between Moscow and Washington on Syria should be published to avoid possible misinterpretations, said a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry. “The logic of our position is that since we are talking about the document, the importance of which is much wider than just the dialogue Russia – the United States or to a positive, as we hope, the impact on the situation in Syria, with this document and with the agreement that preceded it, should be able to see all the colleagues and partners in the international community, including members of the UN Security Council “, – said the source.
The process of political settlement in Syria may resume after the UN Security Council meeting scheduled for 21 September, said Staffan de Mistura. He noted that on September 21 to take place, “the UN Security Council session specifically devoted to Syria.” “Then, – he continued, – followed by evaluation of the situation and” invitation to the political process. ”
Military activity in Syria has fallen significantly since the entry into force on 12 September ceasefire in accordance with the package of agreements prepared by Russia and the United States, said Staffan de Mistura. “Compared to previous days definitely clear that there was a significant decline in violence – de Mistura said. – Of course, it was only 24 hours. And the mark of 48 hours will be important, but it will be evaluated by two co-chairs. ”
Leaders of Saudi Arabia welcomes the ceasefire in Syria. “The Kingdom expresses its approval of the ceasefire agreement, which will facilitate a humanitarian catastrophe Syrian brotherly people”, – stated in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
More than 20 militant groups have rejected the cease-fire agreement. The very statement was made by representatives of the Free Syrian Army, but includes many gangs. The statement was signed by representatives of “Falcata Al-Sham”, “Nur al-Din al-Zina”, “Jaish al-Islam”, “Adzhnad al-Sham”, “Jaish al-Nasr,” “Jaysh al-Tahrir” and others.
Flagrant challenge to the US-Russian efforts the Russian Foreign Ministry called the refusal 21 armed opposition groups in Syria to respect the truce. “We believe this is a flagrant challenge to the US-Russian efforts to strengthen the cessation of hostilities, assistance to address the humanitarian problems and the creation of conditions for the launch of a comprehensive mezhsiriyskogo political process”, – said the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with the refusal of a number of armed opposition groups in Syria to implement the provisions Russian-American agreements on 9 September 2016.
Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin did not rule out the creation of a global coalition against terrorism in the CAP in the case of the success of the Russian-American deal on Syria.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has called on Russia to put pressure on the Syrian government, and the US – on the Syrian armed groups for cooperation on humanitarian assistance in the truce period. According to Ban Ki-moon, since the armistice civilians of Syria has not yet received aid. “I urged the Russian government to make sure that they put pressure on the Syrian government and the American way – to make sure that the Syrian armed groups to fully cooperate,” – UN Secretary-General said.
The number of settlements that have joined the reconciliation process has increased to 616. The number of armed groups that have declared their commitment to the terms of a cessation of hostilities, remained unchanged – 69.
During the day recorded 42 violations of the cessation of hostilities on the part of armed groups in the provinces Aleppo (20) Ham (8), Damascus (5), Homs (4), Latakia (3) and Durham (2). For days earlier -. 21 violation of the
Russian Air Force and videoconferencing Syria opposition militias, have declared a cessation of hostilities and to report to the Russian or American centers reconciliation information about their location, strikes are not applied.
Syrian Air Force sorties stop on Monday in accordance with the agreement between Russia and the United States. This was reported by representatives of the US administration.
Three of the United States Air Force air strike on the positions of the IG is likely to have caused the death of civilians. This was reported in the Central Command (CENTCOM) US Armed Forces. In particular, we are talking about strikes, which were deposited on September 7 in the vicinity of Deir ez-Zor, September 10 – near Raqqa, September 12 – not far from Ash-Shaddad. The number of civilian deaths was not specified.
Syrian Foreign Minister after the next incident on the Golan Heights has sent two letters – UN Secretary-General and the UN Security Council – with the requirement to compel Israel to stop its aggression. “Syria calls on the Security Council to take all measures necessary to punish Israel and force it to stop its aggression and support for terrorists” – Syrian Foreign Minister said.
The armed conflict in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic has killed more than 300,000 civilians. Said experts from international humanitarian organizations.
The joint report of the United Nations and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to investigate the use of chemical substances for military purposes in Syria raises many questions, said Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin. Churkin said that with regard to the Syrian military speculated about the alleged use of chlorine as a chemical weapon. “There is no real reason to draw conclusions”, – said Russian Permanent Representative of the United Nations, stressing that the report is still a lot of questions. “To make any serious charges, you must have strong evidence”, – said Vitaly Churkin, adding that the work on this issue continues and will be completed in the next few weeks.
In the course of the antiterrorist operation in the federal states of Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony detained three Syrian refugee, who according to the investigation data, belonged to the “sleeping cell” grouping “Islamic state” in Germany, said Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere.
Paris police detained five Syrians, who are suspected of intending to buy on the black market Kalashnikovs. For illegal possession of such weapons in France face a prison term of up to 5 years and a fine of 5 thousand. Euro.”
Fool me once, shame on you,
fool me twice, shame on me.
Russia says US failing to deliver on Syria deal, wants details declassified
Russia says the US is not keeping its end of the bargain on the Syrian ceasefire and has continued its calls for Washington to make public all documents relating to the deal. The Russian military says Damascus is the only party observing the agreement.
He is a really smart guy. Nice speech.
