The Empire truly tried everything. First, Russia was accused of doping solely on the credibility of one man who had to flee Russia to avoid being jailed (for doping athletes, no joke! ). Of course, no actual evidence was provided. Then, in an amazing case of collective responsibility, ALL the Russian athletes were banned from not only displaying a Russian flag or hear the Russian national anthem. The Russians could not even refer to their country in interviews. Furthermore, since the Japanese did not allow the public to participate, Russian athletes were obviously discriminated against by the judges in several sports (even the minimal public booed the judges, one Russian athlete had to ask the public to stop protesting!). As for the US, since it could not dope its athletes as usual (Japan bans Ritalin; also the US “regulates” itself about doping anyway), some refused to compete (Simone Biles) others demanded that all the Russians be expelled from the Olympic movement.
And yet, Russia is 5th on gold and 3rd in total medals.
The united West can now go and screw itself (and keep itself awake at night imagining what Russia would have won in fair competitions!).
The Saker
WADA, IOC, JAPAN all whored out for the US pimp.
ROC represented Russian Federation with class and excellence.
One could imagine the mental breakdowns and pants wetting if the same conditions befell the Americans.
very interesting … according to Wikipedia, Russia sent 333 athletes while the evil, crooked and Satanic Yanks sent 613. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything so remarkably unfair, unjust and dishonorable from those ugly Amerikkkans. To deny Russians their flag and anthem, is on a whole new level of Amerikkkan ugliness. And to be frank, it’s Russia’s fault for being such level 99 masochists in the first place.
FYI … if you add all of the former republics of the USSR, they still come out on top, and take the number one spot, with over 130 medals in the Tokyo Olympics
and if I take the EU I have to stop counting. And you guys please stop counting medals per state
The USSR was a country of its own. The DU is a union of countries.
You would think so, eh? The mighty wokey EU on top, how beautiful. Except that this idea is based on a not so small logical error. If you have a team of 2000, 3000 or more athletes, that is if you add up all the EU- countries, you obviously have an advantage compared to a nation that has only 200 or 300 athletes.
When France finishes on position 1, Germany 2 and Italy 3 in Basketball for example (I know, ridiculous, but for example’s sake), according to your flawed thinking this means that an EU team would have gained 3 medals. Except that they would have had only 1 team and couldn’t possibly have won more than 1 medal at least in team sports.
Likewise in individual sports, a lot of the medal winners simply wouldn’t have been selected for the EU olympic team as there are certain team size limits. We have to first establish the EU team size and who would have been allowed to it before we proclaim anything. The result will obviously differ very much from just adding up the individual countries.
I am glad to see that you understood what I meant.
It would be amusing if Russia could send Navalny to participate in these 100% idiotic non-events. As somebody wrote in another thread here recently, the guy is ”a walking pharmacy”. Would his fame and stardom in the Collective West shield him from the West’s usual innuendos about doping?
Russian athletes are great fellows! They survived under tremendous pressure. They remained recognizable even without the country’s flag and anthem. Congratulations and best wishes! Don’t give up, as Peter Gabriel sang!
People watching it on TV here in Japan were saying “Where is ROC?” “Where are the Russians?” and finally putting two and two together. It only managed to focus the spotlight more intensely on Russia’s athletes, at least in the viewers’ minds and the painfully clear problem of politicized games. The Japanese love people who can “accept the unacceptable” and keep on striving sincerely.
But since the TV here focused entirely on Japanese athletes who were winning, we only saw where the Russians came in second or third and were lucky if we could catch their performance at all. Thus I am grateful for this article shining a little more light on what happened.
“The Japanese love people who can “accept the unacceptable” and keep on striving sincerely.”
You have described it quite well, and this is true in the Japanese culture. If I’m not mistaken, this principle is called ‘bushido’, and is seen with much respect.
Now compare that for instance with this disgrace of the Ukrainians: https://www.rt.com/sport/531468-ukraine-russia-mahuchikh-lasitskene-olympics/
Some people have great difficulties in understanding what sport means.
Cheers, Rob
I dislike medal tables listing states. I dislike sports reporters who display national pride. And I dislike regular citizens who get excited about the medals their country has won.
Maybe I am a bit old fashioned regarding the spirit of sportsmanship. .
No, you are not. It is the reason I haven’t watched the Olympics since the early 70s. I appreciate the efforts of the athletes, but the Olympics is a commercialized, commoditized, politicized scam.
Thomas, if you are old fashioned then so am I. Ancient Greek Olympics were a semi-religious festival about the prowess of individual athletes not national teams. Modern national-team Olympics were set up by nationalist and imperialist European countries (Britain, France and Germany) at the beginning of the 20th century. These same ultra-nationalist countries also set up WW1 and WW2. If “Diplomacy is War by other means” (Clausewitz) likewise Nationalist Olympics is War by other means.
”Ancient Greek Olympics were a semi-religious festival about the prowess of individual athletes not national teams.”
All the athletes represented their city-states. That’s why the victor’s city-state tore down a small section of the city’s wall in order to welcome him. And ”a contrario” : Before the Pelloponesian War the antispartan Judges of the Games ”ruled” that a Spartan violated their rules. They had him whipped in public many times and banned the city of Sparta and its athletes, -not only this punished athlete-, from the Games for 20 years. Sparta succumbed to this decision.
Baron de Coubertin set up the modern Olympic Games, which were first celebrated at Athens in 1896. His purpose was specifically to encourage young people from all countries to meet in competition and friendship, so that those of them who went on to become statesmen would have understanding of and sympathy with those of different nations, races and religions.
Needless to say, as soon as the Olympics became successful enough to attract a lot of attention, the nationalists and chauvinists piled on. The Games were already highly political by 1924 (see, for instance, “Chariots of Fire”).
The West have made a sham of the Olympics and have destroyed it with politics!! !
I only glanced briefly at the Olympics this year. The only thing that stood out to me is that the American athletes all looked like steroid monsters. Sure, all the Americans have doctors’ notes for steroids because they are always “injured” and amphetamines (Ritalin) because they are psychological fruitcakes, so the Americans being doped to the gills is all legal-like, but they are hardly good role models.
Just so that readers know many American high school students who are into competitive sports do steroids. Doctor shopping to find one who will write you a prescription is easy. Kids rarely have to look beyond their family practitioner to get their dope. Doctors know the kids are using the steroids to bulk up and not to heal injuries, but they also know the kids will just go to another doctor if they refuse the prescription, so they sign on the dotted line.
Anyway, whenever you want to know what kinds of crimes the US is guilty of just look at what they are accusing their “adversaries” of. Yeah, that includes systemic doping, dictatorship “rape rooms”, genocide, and interfering in the internal politics of other countries.
The most curious issue is why America’s veteran superstar gymnast, Simone Biles, really pulled out of the women’s all-round gymnastics competition.
The American and Western-controlled “Free Press” tried to spindoctor this pullout as merely her courageous attempt to deal with her “mental health issues.”
Oh, the humanity!
And if you believe this, you also believe Lance Armstrong never used PEDs.
But this was not Biles’ first Olympics and she has won many medals in the past, so there was very little pressure on her.
There is some speculation that Biles pulled out because she was not allowed to her use her ADHD medication (like Ritalin, which improves mental concentration) at the Olympics, so that is why she pulled out.
The Japanese–ever the compliant … I mean… helpful American Geisha girls–even allowed Biles to train at a “secret” gym at Juntendo University in order for her to come back and compete in the women’s balance beam competition.
SIMONE BILES TRAINED IN A SECRET GYM TO REGAIN HER FORM

Ritalin is a central nervous system stimulant. Taking Ritalin is no different from taking methamphetamine or cocaine before competing.
I think it is classed together with amphetimines in Japan, and very strictly controlled.
Maybe the drug tests are stricter in Tokyo Olympics? Who knows what other drugs Biles take besides Ritalin in order to win medals like she did before to gain unfair advantage.
What’s wrong with training at a gym in Japan?
Who the hell still cares about the Olympics? They have been corporatized for over 50 years.
Haven’t even tried to watch them since they were in LA in ’84 and had to escort a friend around who still loved them.
Boring!!!!!!!
Don’t watch or give any energy to anything run by elites for elites to make tons of money for a few. The players are being used for corporate and political purposes. And they know it too!
Sports competition is a deliberate distraction away from peace movements and class struggle. It’s the ultimate form of gaslighting.
Damn. If Australia had not choked so many times, we woulda “stolen” something like 5 golds from the US.
As it was, we “stole” a handful of US “owned” gold in the swimming events.
Besides Russia and China’s awesome records at the Olympics, lets look at Cuba. Tiny Cuba, abused and savaged by the US and their running dogs. Was 15th on that list, and tied in Gold Medals with Brazil,Canada, and New Zealand. All nations with, in two cases far larger populations to get athletes from. And in all three cases with far more money for equipment to train with.Viva Cuba Libre.
Hi Bob: I went through the countries with seven or more gold medals relative to their populations. New Zealand was first at 1 gold for every 702,000 population. Following behind New Zealand, in order, the following 13 were: Australia, Cuba, Netherlands, Great Britain, Japan, Canada, Italy, France, ROC, Germany, USA, Brazil, China.
Now I get it!
Transgenderism is pushed so that they can take all medals in women competitions.
Devileshly clever.
If I remember correctly, wasn’t there a ban by America in which Australia also participated for the 1984 Moscow Olympic games?
And then I look at the numbers this year; America sent in over 600 athletics and Russia just over 300. So again Russia had the better count of medals per competitors. But my interest isn’t in the countries but the athletes who are competing, and as many of those competitors state, over and over, it’s them competing against themselves rather than their opposition, and again look at those true competitors when they share their joy in winning with those they competed with.
And you can pick the brain-dead athletes who follow the political ideology, as they point the finger at those who beat them. And again, every incentive helps, so consider the incentive to the Russians in being treated like lepers, and consider just how much more that would have inspired them, for I am certain that it did!
Stupid move America!!
I did not watch much of the Olympics, except for Russian gymnasts – breathtaking!
But what truly angered and upset me is seeing these beautiful, courageous and incredibly talented girls standing there with their gold and silver medals – not under the RF Flag but under some abstract Olympic thingy and hearing not Russian Hymn but some classical music. It must have been heartbreaking for them; as it was for me.
They are truly champions ( despite apparently much biased and politically motivated judging practices shown at this games) for their Country which they could not even mention!
My thoughts is for Russia to refuse to participate in any future Olympics until that organization is thoroughly purged of the vile garbage that has infested it and running it. If Russian athletes cannot represent their Country under it’s Flag and feel the pride, standing on the podiums with their hard won medals to hear the Russian Hymn, there is no point being there. This, now very much corrupted and taken over organization needs to be either totally over-hauled or simply replaced with something else, organized by Russia and China, where world athletes can compete in their sports, without all this politically motivated, pathetic shenanigans. As was pointed out before – whatever this Cabal touches, turns to s..t!
As per my previous comments, if you are not allowed to have your flag, national anthem at competitions, do not go there and let western vultures humiliate you. No medal is worth that.
Even Russian athletes are no idealistic saints who give everything for Mother Russia only. They also invest heavily in their career to make money. Just swallow that!
Indeed,i know its hard on the men and women who trained for years but i believe the Russians should not have taken part under the conditions imposed by the Empire and its cohorts.
Whenever the tally board was shown on Oz Tv.. with Oz in 5th place and Russia in 4th place the ‘news presenter’ would mention 1st, 2nd and 3rd place… never never ever mention 4th and then praise our 5th place.
They could not even hiss ROC – it’s as if they weren’t there. Such is the fear and loathing down under.
I agree with member that said that it is a 100% idiotic event , not worth watching or commenting
Maps, flags and uniforms!
God, I do so love the Olympic Games.
I was really looking forward to see China coming at the first place. Let’s see, maybe next time. However, they showed a remarkable improvement.
If you add the medals of Hong Kong and Taiwan to the Chinese total, you have China on top with 41 gold medals.
Can you pick out the colonial countries by the athletes participating in the events?
Listening to a Russian watching the handball final playing “We will Rock You” made me laugh.
Sorry, I have never been interested in sports, whether they be Olympic or otherwise, except where i can improve myself and test myself against myself, period. Publicized competition to prove who’s better than the “other guy” and get testosterone levels up has always seemed antithetical to people living in harmony the world over and being at peace with one another. I just don’t understand people who love sports and become fanatical about them, and end up memorizing rules of team sports, statistics and the like. B-o-r-i-n-g. I’d rather do than watch.
That been said, and on the political front (because sports ARE political in nature, at one level or another), i don’t understand why, with all the completely dishonest and antagonistic to the extreme, things that the Empire has been doing recently (last few years especially) to Russia, with, for example, world sports like the olympics, doping, the OPCW, and Russiagate and man. many more putrid things – why doesn’t Russia gather up other friendly nations, such as powerful China, Iran, the other countries interested in fair play, etc. – and break away from all these severely comprimized “institutions” which are totally controlled by the Empire and its minions, and start its own truly international and FAIR organizations?
This kind of abuse of Russia, and China, IRan, etc. cannot continue to go unanswered. A line must be drawn and the current institutions must be delegitimized, at the minimum.
Absolutely agree. Everyone’s complaining how corrupt, unfair and malicious western institutions are to Russia and China, well, the solution is simple. Just break away. Create your own institions and organizations – sporting, political, humanitarian, financial etc. Why it’s not being done, I really can’t comprehend. The complaints about Western injustice is now getting a little tiring. Do something about it. Come on Russia and China, show the world that you can do it better, fairer and genuinely. You have the resources, the manpower and knowledge that can leave the West behind but they still have this insecurity that the West is the best. Starting not to make sense anymore.
Money!
Despite everything said, in my mind Russia is a big loser right from the outset. Under current circumstances self respecting Russia should never have dignified Tokyo Olympics by its presence. But “the spurned lover that persist” as per P.C. Roberts is indeed undeterred and very persistent. So, the humiliation on every turn by some very insignificant “partners” is self inflicted.
Back in 2005, I was working with WADA and its medical director at the time. An honest man. A few years earlier, I had co-pioneered a specific type of remote biosensing technology which was of interest to WADA. According to them, they had a huge problem as they could no longer detect doping which had gone down the path of DNA modification 15 years earlier. Hence, they needed a solution. Which they still don’t have in 2021.
Just an anecdote…
I rejoice that tiny little San Marino, to my knowledge the only Western European country that authorised the Sputnik V vaccine, has achieved an historical performance at this olympics winning one silver and two bronze medals. The smallest country in the World by population to ever win a medal!
The competition is full of s anyway. Anything that is not directly a competition of a humans without any tools should be an Olympic competition. Modern biochemistry is advanced enough to make it too hard to screen for everything under the sun, that’s why I do not care anymore.
I’d watch an “olympic” competition of SF or regular troops fighting each other with all the gear they want – all having the same opportunity to arm up with the same arsenal. That would be infinetly more fun to watch.
“Anything that is not directly a competition of a humans without any tools should be an Olympic competition.”
Got to stop texting on my smartphone, while doing stuff. It should read:
Only a direct competition of humans without any tools should be an Olympic competition.
The displayed ranking is confusing. Ordering the list, what is that based on? Number of gold medals? Not number of all medals together? Not “Rank by Total” which adds weight to gold, silver, bronze in 3:2:1 ratio?
I know why. To hide ROC, since on TV they seldom show entire list, just top 3 or 4. In Canada, thy show top 4, and then a line for Canada. People on this continent are sick.
Saker, the politicisation of sport always foreshadows the next war. It predicts which nations will be involved and which nations will turned into the “other” in the upcoming propaganda campaign. This was certainly the case with the 1936 Olympiade in Berlin and WWII, but this time a conflict between the USA and Russia will go nuclear within hours and be over within weeks or even days.
The AngloZionist Empire has been building up to this since forever. It’s in their crazy end-times eschatology that there will be a “war to end all wars” which will end human history and bring about their version of Heaven on Earth, which in fact will be a living Hell. May the living God of justice, compassion, and truth preserve us all from the wrath of the Zionists and the chosenites.
The Mahdi will come and end all this.
So true: they played on the absence of a real public. Else we would have seen many Nemov events. (As when multiple world champion Nemov was so obviously slighted by judges in Athens that the public kept booing for more than 10 minutes; and Nemov eventually rose and signaled to them to quiet down, as he was concerned the next in line (an American) was going to lose his concentration.)
There certainly was intrigue involved in the selection of judges, as in rhythmic gymnastics, where most judges were from former comecon countries (notably Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland). Their verdict no doubt made history, as the gold winner not only dropped the accessory, but ran out of her programmed trajectory to pick it from the floor and fell out of rhythm with the music. I don’t think a medal, let alone gold, has never been awarded following such a messy performance.
That gold medal was “picked up” by an Israeli gymnast. Maybe some motivation to provide more support to Syria against anglozionist attacks in the future.
New Zealand has won the Olympics, no question.
i didn’t watch a single event in the ̶O̶l̶y̶m̶p̶i̶c̶ Political Farce Games !!
We re sick of a belly hurting laughter when read last night headlines: The US embassy urges every
‘merican citizen to leave Afghanistan immediately, by any means available.
Well that ‘ needs not be so painful neither shameful for the exceptionalistic champions of democracy.
After all there must be many runners still ALIVE from that heroic stampede from the roof of the Saigon embassy, 46 years ago – on April 29, 1975.
They can be found out right thru the Face’s or Instagram’s any moment now and give the
democracy exporters some invaluable advice.
