Today, President Obama described the “Srebrenica massacre as “a stain on our collective conscience”. Saying that “there can be no lasting peace without justice” Obama added that he urged “the prosecution and arrest of those that carried out the genocide”.
Noble feelings, for sure. There is only one problem. There never was a genocide in Srebrenica. You can read all about it here, but I can’t re-print this article here because of the greed of the founder and webmaster of the antiwar.com website, Eric Garris. Too bad, really, the article by Nebojsa Malic is very good.
Hezbollah never bombed any Jewish center(s) in Buenos-Aires, 9/11 was an inside job, and no massacre of civilians ever took place in Srebrenica. These are a few of the themes which I refuse to shy away from and which will irritate some of you. My blog is not about making you feel good, its about saying the truth. I don’t apologize for that.

VS: you’re doing a great job lately. I’m not sure if you got a replacement desktop (sorry, not in MY budget) or not but the new posts are great.
I consider you a valuable resource compared to the other iconoclastic aggregators out there (although I rely on several). You carefully select cogent and relevant articles and you add considerable value with your excellent essays.
You are a “daily check” bookmark for me. Probably for many others.
Keep it going. Thx.
@anonymous: thanks for your words of support! I know that I will catch some flak for the Srebrenica topic…
With the very advice from of some of you have ordered a new desktop for less than 200 bucks. I expect it next week :))
Kind regards,

The whole Kosovo war is an important point for me. In 1999 I was buying the Empire’s narrative hook line and sinker. I was watching tv and actually cheering on the bombing of Serbia. I’m ashamed to admit it, but its true. I had all the classic signs symptoms of an MSM zombie. Rote repetition of mindless talking points. Total unawareness that other viewpoints even existed. Easy demonization and dehumanization of a faceless “enemy.” Contempt for domestic opposition. (I was a Clinton fan) And worst of all, casual advocacy for the use of force. Were I a fish, there would have been a giant hook coming out of my cheek.
Somehow, thanks to the internet, thanks to the invasion of Iraq, which woke me up, I managed to slip that hook.
@Lysander: I know how you feel. In reply to your post, I began listing all the dumb things I used to believe in and I got so embarrassed that I decided to skip such a listing. Bottom line: we are all lied to, but with time and a sincere and uncompromising yearning for the truth, we can free ourselves from the lies which surround us.
Christ said: “Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after truth, for they shall be filled”
Notice that the words “hunger” and “thirst” are strong words, referring to visceral feelings. Christ did not say “interested in” or “enjoy”. He thus showed us that our desire for truth must be very powerful, all-consuming, burning, almost obsessive. But if we have that in our brain, soul and gut, then “we shall be filled”.
And the “Truth shall makes us free”, of course.
