Good map. I think Russians are closer to the north of Novovorontsovka than this shows. I have seen tactical footage from telegram channels from some of that large expanse between Dnipro and Donetsk, so it certainly isn’t open for transit. Is the encirclement ‘locked’? Not from what I have seen. Is transit of men and material unchallenged by the Russians from the west? Absolutely not.
I wouldn’t be placing too much stock in that map.

No way. There’s massive fighting in Mariupol. We are only in a part of the city in the west. Elsewhere we are just in the suburbs. According to Colonel Cassad’s latest map anyway. Mariupol is going to be a great big mess. The Nazis are hunkering down next to and inside of civilian structures and they are not letting anyone out. We did make progress in Mariupol yesterday, but we only advanced 800 yards. That’s half a mile. A slog.

In last day is couple of up- to-date short videos in reports over at Soutfront. One video of DNP doing mopping up patrol in urban sector, and the street damage is very heavy. Burst flaming gas lines in street. Knocked out Ukrainian T-80, and abandoned Ukrainian BTR-82 in full residential area, right on doorstep of apartment block. The eastern Ukrainian civilians are starting to resent Asov Nationalist Battalions and Ukrainian Army parking military vehicles and armor right up against their residential homes, making them a target.
To me this cauldorn looks wide open. Question is if it´s possible to reinforcethe eastern troop for Ukraine or if it´s possible for troops to retreat and fight another day
Mikael, the Ukrainian regular forces that were facing off against the rebel republics two weeks ago are…. still there. They are still on the Donbas line, still facing off against the rebel republics.
The only exception is the Azov Battalion, which has been very deftly sliced away from the regular Ukrainian troops and pushed into Mariupol.
They are not leaving there except in a body-bag.
Now this is indisputable: if those Ukrainians forces *could* disengage and redeploy west then they *would* do so. After all, their capital city is under threat. As is their second biggest city. And their third biggest city.
All are under threat of encirclement. Those Ukrainian forces need to go to the relief of at least one of those cities.
That they *aren’t* tells you that they *can’t*.
And the only explanation for that is that they are …. trapped where they are.
It really is as simple as that.
Where are these NATO ‘volunteers’ arriving to? The only entry I can see being possible for the maps above is South East of Odessa. It would seem easy to contain that narrow line of entry and keep them separate from the cauldroned masses. Or am I missing something here?

No map is 100% accurate. My understanding is that the Ukrainians are fighting hard to keep control over the southern districts of Izyum to prevent the town being used to fully lock the cauldron. Heavy fighting is ongoing there.
It’s a war, there are setbacks. Ukrainians set ambushes in many areas. It’s impossible to avoid them all. Ukraine’s military might be like a chicken without a head right now but they are still competent enough to set ambushes and fight at an infantry platoon level. They still have lots of anti-tank weapons.
I think Saker is right, Russia needs to step up the airpower – especially, I think, drones – which are unmanned, not painful if lost and can hit precise targets, which is needed to hit certain spots where the Ukrainians have set up artillery and vehicles inbetween residential buildings.
Izyum won’t lock the cauldron. There’s still quite a ways to go to close it.

According to both of those the only Ukrainian force that is in danger of encirclement is the 53rd Mechanized Brigade, and it is in DIRE danger of encirclement.
Yet the 95th Assault Brigade is directly to its west.

Why would the Ukrainians expend any blood and treasure attempting to prevent that encirclement when the simpler choice is to withdraw the 53rd Mechanized to the west, and then straighten the front?
Why leave the 53rd Mechanized sticking out like a sore thumb?

Also Mariupol, Sumy, Chernhiv, the 53rd, Okhytra, Izyum, Lebedyn, Hlukhiv, Nivhyn, Mena, Shostka, and Konotop are surrounded. by the Russian Liberation Army. Kharkiv, Kiev, and Nicholaev are surrounded on three sides.

“95th Asslt” is there, again, and is in no danger of encirclement.
“53 Mech” is to its left, deep, deep, deep inside a salient.
THAT unit is the 53rd Mechanized Brigade, and according to the map it is THAT unit that is going to be trapped if the Russians take Izium.
But the point I will make – again – is if that map is accurate then what the f**k does the 53rd Mechanized Brigade think it is doing shoving its head up the arse of that salient?
Being in there means that the other Ukrainian units have to immolate themselves attempting to stop the Russians from slamming the gate on the 53rd Mechanized, which is crazy.
Pull them out, straighten the lines, and hope for the best.
But the maps show the Ukrainians being outmaneuvered by the Russians.
As in: badly outmaneuvered.
They have an entire brigade stuck where it can’t to anything but die an agonizing death.
There is a much better detailed map that shows that a number of Ukie formations are in trouble there, not just the 53rd. It’s all in Russian though so it’s difficult to understand. The PBS map is very low resolution and doesn’t show anywhere near all the Ukie forces. I think that guy’s maps are good.

I have yet to read anything that suggests MAGA put any pressure on him to adopt policies that might suggest a neutral approach towards Israel, Russia or Russian allies Syria and Iran. Trump’s record of pro-Israeli and anti-Russian acts are well established. Historical facts:
1) Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel
2) Trump moved the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem
3) The United States recognized the Golan Heights as part of Israel through a presidential proclamation signed by Trump on March 25, 2019. The directive made the United States the first country to recognize Israeli rather than Syrian sovereignty over the Golan Heights region. Israel has an area in the Golan called Trump Heights as an honor to him.
4) The late oligarch and rabid Israeli supporter Sheldon Adelson gave the 2016 Trump presidential campaign $25 million donation, the Trump campaign’s largest. Adelson gave $5 million to the committee that organized the Trump inauguration, and he and his wife had a front-row seat at the ceremony when Trump took the oath of office in January 2017. Trump awarded him the President Medal of Freedom in 2018. For the 2018 mid-term elections, the Adelsons wife spent nearly $124 million in publicly disclosed donations to GOP super PACs, campaign committees and candidates. It should be recalled that when Trump bombed Syria, Russian forces were on the ground in Syria and Russia is an ally of Iran.

2) Trump approved two major arms sales to Ukraine. The latter sale in spring 2018 included Javelin anti-tank missiles. His decision to boost the military capabilities of Ukraine was a hostile act. He also created a program to train Ukrainian troops.
3) Trump’s agent endorsed the admission of Montenegro and Macedonia to the NATO alliance. He also did not challenge the USA’s stated goal to bring Georgia and Ukraine into NATO—a move that, according to the article “Russians across the political spectrum regard as an intolerable provocation.”
4) Trump frequently deployed U.S. warplanes and military personnel to NATO members on Russia’s border. He combined these “with an intensification of both the number and size of NATO exercises (war games) in both Eastern Europe and the Black Sea adjacent to Russia. There were reports that Trump was in serious negotiations with Warsaw to build a permanent military base (which the Polish president offered to name “Fort Trump” in a transparent appeal to the U.S. president) in eastern Poland near the border with Russia.”
5) Trump embarked on a regime-change campaign to oust Russian ally Maduro. “Trump himself has insisted that all options (implicitly including a military intervention) remain on the table regarding that goal. It’s hard to square such an aggressive stance toward Russian clients like Assad and Maduro with the actions of someone dedicated to appeasing Moscow…”
Your points are well taken. The Saker analysis that Trump was pushed aside and overwhelmed by the deep state is top rate. All we can do is remember that those events were not what his constituency desired. There are still millions of people who are going to vote in November and we can slow the war machine down again if we win.

1. Mariupol. Urban battles with the gradual advance of our forces deep into the city. The enemy stubbornly resists, taking advantage of the fact that our troops are trying to prevent the death of civilians, behind whom the Nazis are hiding. The ring is narrowing, calls for the lifting of the blockade of Mariupol are becoming more hysterical.
2. Volnovakha. Today the city was taken. Badly destroyed. For the residents there is a real humanitarian catastrophe. There are many trophies in the city, including a large number of tanks. The combing of neighborhoods and the capture of those groups of the enemy who did not have time to retreat to Ugledar continue.
3. Ugledar — Velikaya Novoselka. The Russian Armed Forces from the south-west and the DPR army from the south-east are gradually approaching Ugledar. A threat has also been created to Velikaya Novoselka, having occupied which it is possible to develop an offensive in the direction of Kurakhovo and Krasnoarmeysk. To the west, fighting continued in the area of Gulyaipol.
4. Raisins. There is serious fighting in and around the southern parts of the city. 7. Severdonetsk — Lisichansk. Fighting in the area of the agglomeration, as well as on the outskirts of Rubezhne. Popasnaya has not been taken to the end and there is still fighting.

9. Odessa. No major changes. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is spinning the thesis about the imminent offensive of Russian troops from the PMR and is preparing the remaining bridges for an explosion.
10. Zaporozhye. The city is being prepared for defense, but the front is now between Vasilyevka and Kamensk without much movement. The Russian Armed Forces have not yet made attempts to block Zaporizhia and are focused rather on moving north to the Donetsk-Pavlograd highway.
Overall, operations continue to evolve despite negotiations and humanitarian corridors in selected locations. The most promising direction is the southern one. After the capture of Volnovakha, the DPR Armed Forces can increase pressure on Mariupol, as well as increase the forces advancing on Ugledar.
The Russian Armed Forces in Zaporozhye have a number of offensive options, which also creates additional difficulties for the enemy. It is also worth noting that in the Donbas, the crisis of fuel and lubricants in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is becoming more acute. Its signs were vividly shown today in Volnovakha. Locals in Artemovsk report that the Armed Forces of Ukraine already have a decent amount of equipment there has problems with refueling. In general, the crisis of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbas is growing.

The goal is a “re-oriented” Ukrainian government and Constitution, de-militarization, and de-Nazification. There is no need to “occupy” the country in the US Iraq or Afghanistan format to achieve this.

There’s no doubt that if Russia wants there to be a lasting change from the pre-February status, Russia will have to occupy the western Ukraine and nation-build it. Clearly this is the only realistic way, whatever Putin’s original fond thoughts may have been. The only question is whether it’s practicable for Russia to stop short of having to just go ahead and annex the whole place.
Anything short of this, any withdrawal of direct Russian power, will result like night follows day in US-Ukronazi power surging back in to chase out whatever half-baked arrangement the Russians had left behind when they absconded.
Whatever the original fantasies of Putin and his fans, it’s clear that the Ukrainians are in no position whatsoever to join the Russians in driving out the nazis and to police themselves afterward in a manner amicable to Russia.
This incapacity of the Ukraine is clear, even if a majority of Ukrainians had the wish to do this. But this alleged wish of the western Ukraine to be free of the empire and the nazis also seems by now to be far more asserted without evidence than proven with any evidence.

Putin’s original plan was predicated on idea that much of the Ukrainian army and significant sections of the population would turn against CIA/Zelinkys’s puppet regime; That is clearly not the case. 8 years of CIA propaganda and persecution of all pro Russian elements have driven much of pro Russian ukranians to leave the country for Russia.
Hence, none really on the ground to help the Russians finish the war faster and administer an neutral Ukraine. Yes, and I also think any notion of a “neutral” Ukraine also is obsolete, in light of how radical the political/propaganda polarization has become and how radically the economic war has escalated in global scope and speed. For the foreseeable future the Ukraine will be either an ally of one side or the other, or else a Somalia-type free-fire zone.

On Point (1): the Russians are not going to let up on the assault on Mariupol. Not until they have killed every single member of the Azov Battalion.
The Russians must have thanked their lucky stars that they were able to split the Azov Battalion away from the regular Ukranian forces and trap it inside Mariupol.
Say what you want about other operations inside Ukraine, but THAT was one slick operation.
Utterly annihilating the Azov Battalion is now going to be high up the to-do list of the Russians, because post-war interactions with Ukraine is going to be much, much easier when the nazis realize that their “muscle” is gone.
After all, without those bully-boys to back them up they are going to find that they have made a lot of enemies who all have scores to settle.

If instead you want a host that actually has a sizeable audience, then there is no true free speech platform. All of them have some degree of restrictions. The most bang for the buck – as in most users per freedom – is Rumble, followed by Odysee.
