This post is a short follow-up to the Ukraine mini-SITREP: very ominous developments post I did a couple of days ago.
Several of you have noticed what can only be called a declaration of war on Russia by one of the top figures of the AngloZionist international capital, George Soros who has declared that “Russia is an existential threat to Europe“. First, Khodorkovsky, now Soros – it is pretty clear who is gunning for Russia and how, and it is equally clear that what these financiers are really admitting by their bellicose statements is that Putin is an existential threat to them. In the latter statement, they are actually 100% correct (proving one more time that those who say that Putin is an oligarchic puppet are just useful and manipulated idiots).
Nuland, Soros, Khodorkovsky, Hillary, Friedman and the list goes on and on and on. The entire Neocon cabal is out for war and they are putting tremendous pressure on the rest of the planet to join.
The Europeans are, typically, showing less spine than a microwaved jellyfish: even though they fully know and understand that Uncle Sam is propping up a Nazi regime in Kiev and that the US policies are hurting them, they will do whatever the US tells them. There is no European foreign policy to speak of. All the Europeans can produce is a submissive “yessir! anything you say sir!”. One of the most pitiful expressions of this European submission to any order from the US, no matter how stupid, is this fairytale about a Russian submarine lurking inside the Swedish waters.
Not only is that a bad replay of the Swedish Cold War era paranoia following the Whiskey on the Rocks incident, in which a navigational error resulted in a Soviet Whiskey-class sub being beached on the rocks near Karlskrona. While the Swedes of the Cold War could be excused for seeing Soviet subs as often as Scots see the Loch Ness Monster, to come up with the same nonsense in 2014 is plain embarrassing and shows that the Swedish military will also execute any other, no matter how evidently stupid. This time around, the BBC claims that the first sign of a Russian sub was, I kid you not, a “radio conversation in Russian was reportedly detected on Thursday 16 October between the Stockholm archipelago and the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, where Russia’s Baltic fleet is based“. Apparently, there are people dumb enough to believe this kind of nonsense.
Seriously, funny as these “Swedish fairytales” are, we should not overlook the fact that the intention behind them is not funny at all: to create fear and possibly a pretext for a confrontation.
In the meantime, in Banderastan, things are getting worse and worse every day and the only thing holding back a full scale Ukie attack on Novorussia is the fear of further military defeats before the elections. But short of a major change in dynamic, a Ukie attack will happen as soon as the elections are over. One thing which could delay such an attack would be an anti-Poroshenko coup in Kiev.
Though this has not quite been reported that way, one thing which did come out of the Milan summit is that the Ukrainians have basically admitted that they have no money at all. None. Hence all the talks about the Europeans forking the money for the Russian gas. Also, the cold season has begun and from now on its all just going to get worse and worse.
One more important item:
I have to admit that even in my wildest dreams I could not have imagined such a huge number of questions. Next, the Russian Saker Blog Team Leader and myself will have to decide on the number of questions we will forward to Mikhail Khazin and what methodology to follow to select questions. We might combine similar question into one. I am not sure, but I will keep you posted.

Local Ukrainian issues aside, the whole focus of this latest Western G7 anti-Russian strategy is to pin Putin publicly at the G20 meeting.

Saker, I have been following the very interesting story of Lee Wanta, He says he was assigned by Pres Reagan to bring down the Soviets in the 90’s (which he managed to do) and with $500 Billion in seed money he multiplied this by 54 times to a total of 27 Trillion by buying Roubles from Russians desperate for hard currency to buy the good things in life (or even essentials). Having amassed a good portion of the Russian cash in circulation he sold this back to the Russian Central bank to make his profit as the central bank of Russia was desperate for the money to keep the economy going. He paid the seed capital back and tried to claim his $27 Trillion and was thrown in Jail. Now out of Jail he recently sought the assistance of a couple of congressmen to get the money back. They called him for a conference call and when he didn’t answer continued to discuss his situation and decided that if they weren’t going to be given a cut they would get rid of him. This is all on Veteren’s today and youtube videos (Including the conference call). The justice department has been provided with the conference call shortly before Holder resigned. A documentary is going to be made about all of this.

My thoughts are that the original $500 Bn in “hard currency” he was given is only hard currency because of the power of the Petro Dollar (since Nixon took it off the gold standard in 71). So Wanta didn’t “make” the 27 Tn “honestly” for himself (not that he claims the 27Tn for “himself” he claims it on the behalf of the American People) he’s asking for it back from the Fed/Treasury MIC banking system as real money to pay off the US debt (17Tn) and use the rest to insvest in infrastructure.
Secondly, so you amass a 27Tn worth fortune in Roubles and you rock up to the Russian Central bank and say “here buy this and sell me something of real value” (given that at the time there was hyperinflation or serious inflation going on and your stash is rapidly dwindling in value. Why doesn’t the Russina Central bank tell you to where to go. Remember De-Gaulle did this in the 70’s, the French amassed dollars though their banks in Indo-china during the Vietnam way, he sent a warship to New York full of these printed dollars and demanded gold at the Federal Reserve but was turned away and the gold window was quetly closed (followed by the oil shocks). So there has to be something else Lee’s story. Question. What was pointed at the Russians to make them buy their currency back?

I must correct you, Saker. With all due respect, this is wrong. With all due respect, this is the kind of nonsense that creates unwanted international tensions. NO Swedish politician and NO military spokesman has ever accused Russia, has that not been reported in international media? Did you miss it? Sweden officially never pointed the finger at Russia, so don’t bash the Swedes.
The papers say Russia is responsible and that is picked up in many countries, though the navy refuses to blame one country. You know how the media works. Don’t confuse the leadership of the country with the media and please notice many people in Sweden think NATO may be active in Swedish waters, as it was during the Cold War.
I have some knowledge about how the systems work and I am certain one or more subs were in Swedish waters. There are extremely sensitive and advanced hitech sensors on the sea bottom, not available in other countries, and several observations have been made, as if the sub wanted to be noticed. It is not a good idea to ridicule Swedish technology, I assure you, and I think Moscow knows that, That is what Germany learned before 1914, when a German warship was fired at in the fog. That is what the UK learned when we took down a German V2 rocket almost intact. That is what the US learned when it got a clue about our new submarines and their new propulsion system.

Everyone is ready for a full scale war. The Ukraine is like Africa, where huge battles go on, towns and cities are destroyed, in countries that the rest of the world doesn’t know exist. But the pain and the horror are just as real for the victims. Like the downing of the Malaysian airliner, all the world cared about was the passengers, and ignored the devastation and murder surrounding the crash site.
My theory still is that somebody did that as an attack on Malaysia, using the fog of war in Ukraine to hide themselves.

Why would George Soros pick a fight, so very publicly, with Russia at this juncture. And all while the Anglo establishment and other prominent European politicians are falling over itself to be nice to Russia.
Of course it only demonstrates what fascism represents but something is amiss.
Could Soros be trying to demonstrate that oligarchical power is limited (it isn’t) as part of the de escalataion/carving up of the ME and beyond.

There’s a particularly egregious example of black propaganda on the front page of the WaPo this morning, above the fold: “”Crisis kindles concerns about Russian lab secrecy” The lead on the front page starts with a 1996 incident of a Russian technician, at a secret lab at Sergiev Posad, drawing blood from Ebola-infected animal, who cut herself, covered it up, and later died. the story continues: “The fatal accident and a similar one in 2004 offer a rare glimpse into a …” “Soviet continued on A12”.
The article on page A12, flagged “Soviet”, is mostly about how the Russians won’t let the “West” inspect their bio-weapon labs at Sergiev Posad and Novosibirsk, whereas we do. Buried about 3/4 of the way through, however, is the likely news peg, that Russia announce experimental Ebola vaccines developed at the two labs are ready for use. Thus the WaPo has successfully buried the news that Russia is offering experimental Ebola vaccines. At the same time, it has established the meme on the front page that Russia (a.k.a. Soviet) labs have been developing Ebola biological weapons as recently as 2004, implying they may be behind the current outbreak. (With the mention of Sergiev Posad, I’m surprised they didn’t blame the Moscow Patriarchate also.)

Since there was such an intrest in financial matters here is something concerning it.
The 10-year US Treasury bond now yields 2.21%. For reference, the 10-year German bund is 0.87% and the 10-year Japanese government bond is 0.48%.
It’s obvious from the chart, that QE is not the cause of today’s interest rate near 2%.
MarketWatch implicitly acknowledges that the conventional theory is 100% wrong. I have published an alternative, The Theory of Interest and Prices in a Paper Currency. It’s a long read in seven parts, but I have tried to keep it accessible to the layman.
Spoiler alert: I think interest rates will keep falling to zero, though of course there can be corrections.
The behavior of the dollar system is nonlinear and counterintuitive. In my reading, I have rarely encountered understanding of even the mechanics, much less the dynamics that drive it. Most debate is stuck on level zero: money printing as panacea vs. imminent hyperinflation.
This is a tragedy, because the monetary system is in the final stages of self-destruction, though not by runaway rising prices. As one would expect of any terminal patient, the pathologies are numerous and severe. We just need to take off the price-blinders to see them.

If the drone’s operators like what they see through their eyes in the sky, the situation in Ukraine could begin to look a lot brighter in the months and years ahead.

The drone’s operators will be looking to verify that pro-Russian separatists in Eastern Ukraine and Russia are acting in accordance with the Minsk Protocol, and specifically that “illegal military formations, military equipment, as well as militants and mercenaries” leave Ukraine – all things that U.S. military and intelligence spyglasses have been monitoring already for months. Pro-Russian separatists now must open up corridors to allow humanitarian assistance flow in while refugees evacuate and separatist forces withdraw heavy Russian weapons from residential areas.
If these and the other provisions of the Minsk Protocol are met then the political status of the disputed regions will change. The areas of Donetsk and Luhansk would be given greater independence from Ukraine (but not full independence) and special elections would be held. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland has even suggested that fulfillment of the terms of the agreement would allow the U.S. to lift some sanctions against Russia.

The better the know where to direct artillery, bombs and other attacks, and conduct other military maneuvers, of course. One can hardly expect such reconnaissance info not to be passed on and used by Kiev.
This guy, an american mid 40’s living within does a very good weekend synopsis/wrapup every weekend, about 16-20 min long, gives a bigger picture of what the economy (both USA & world) & legislation & looming big dates are coming.

Sometimes you can miss the big picture by staring too much at the details. Also with the help of details you can find “proof” or at least “circumstantial evidence” for almost anything you like. I really hope you are right when you say that Putin has not betrayed Novorossia and that there is a point (given an fascist-ukie attack) when Russia will intervene. But I fear that you may be wrong, that Putin may have sold out Novorossia. Also I disagree when you call people “usefull idiots” because they want an intervention. If there had been an intervention already, we would not have all these deaths in Donbass and we would not have fascists in power in Kiev. In stead we would have a free Novorossia of 8 oblasts/regions. And no, we would not have WW3 either, and the sanctions would be about the same as now. So an intervention will be good for Novorossia and Russia by putting an end to this crisis.
