thanks Saker good show….I wonder who he really had in mind when he was talking abou the liars…Porko or US leaders ? Poor guy…
I think that ‘Ghost’ represents the future…of course some day we will live by the people for the people…but today there is too much corruption world wide…amongst the sheeple. and until the future comes, when all sheeple too, stop lying…and living with the lying because they have an okay job etc etc etc…’Ghost’ will be ahead of its time…God Bless Them.
Thanks for presenting this amazing man. Sounds like the father I never had, or rather very different than my father who was a gentle soul, born and raised on a farm. He was the oldest of ten, maybe more children if the ones that died are counted. His mother was put in a mental institution for awhile.
I was born about the same time Hitler made his first moves. My dad got excused from service, I think because someone had to tend the farm. My uncles went to war but none were killed. Two of them died from alcohol on skid row. Another uncle was said to be crazy but I remember him as large with a wide smile. He especially loved my youngest sister. His dream was to get a romantic song published; I got the impression that this was part of why he was considered partly crazy.
My point is that this commander of the Ghost Brigade is so different than my father. But by the contrast evokes memories of my father and my mother. But I stray beyond the interest of those here.
Yuri and his predecessor Alexey Borisovich Mosgovoy seem to me like philosophers, romantics, peace loving men and men of war. I am impressed with their intelligence and wide interests, like in the American civil war, Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan. I now recall vividly how after winning a championship with a last second long shot, Michael collapsed clutching the game ball and weeping for his recently deceased father. I think he even went into baseball to please him (I think).
Yuri’s talk of honor reminds me of the men of war in Shakespeare. However, my sympathies have always been with Falstaff who said “what good is honor when you’re dead?” and then went on to prove his cowardice and lying. Now with Yuri, it makes me wonder if I’m all wrong. I wonder too why I’ve read or listened to Henry V more than any other play.
At first upon just seeing his picture, I judged him as being a red-neck type. How wrong I was. When the interview began I felt his manly love and fell in love with him. He reminded me of my sister’s husband and his Polish? Slavik? father who was crude but down to earth who could tell real stories, so different than myself with my head in the clouds. Grandpa and Grandma were people of the land, soil, earth and church. They saved enough money to get a loan to buy the cranberry marsh that I lived on for eight years. Sorry, I digress.
Yuri makes me question my war-less values. But it’s going on 1 am and time to stop rambling and get to bed. I live in a motorhome but sleep outside. Like soldiers sometimes do. It will probably get down to 50 tonight which I consider cold for southern California. The sky is clear and solemn with stars. I’m not a soldier but I soldier on anyway in my own private war against war.
Maybe my dreams will give me a message, and like Leo Tolstoy receive some measure of peace, although in a different form. Thanks again and good night.
A couple of days after the EU chastised Ukraine for not finding who was guilty for the Odessa Massacre, they have now “found” someone to blame. It is Gennady Korban and Igor Kolomoisky no less.Who “just so happen” to be Poroshenko’s bitter enemies. They have Korban on trial and he ratted Kolomoisky out in court. There could be some big trouble coming unless they’ve worked a deal out already. In his confession he also lies through his teeth about the events. And of course blames Russia for it all:
“Korban has assumed responsibility for May 2, 2014 in Odessa”
Gennady Korban, colleague of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, took responsibility for himself, Kolomosky, and their partners, for organizing the mass burning of pro-Russian citizens of Odessa May 2, 2014.
Korban talked about it yesterday at a meeting of the court in Kiev, where they eventually decided to release him from prison to house arrest.
“Igor Kolomoisky telephoned Turchinov, who was filling the role of president, and said: “We are ready to take responsibility and pull the East of Ukraine back from the disaster that was approaching from the Russian Federation … ”
We were able to mobilize the security structures that were in the cities, were able to mobilize the activists who came out, and actually to prevent the fall of the Southeast and its exit to the side of the Russian Federation …
Troubles were planned in Dnepropetrovsk for March 3rd or 4th. Oleg Tsarev was in charge, the MP if you recall. As a result, we bought them all tickets to the Russian Federation, put them on a train and thus saved the South-East of Ukraine.
This was also done in Odessa – where there also were tragic events. It was also done in Zaporizhya, but this was not done in the Lugansk and Donetsk, because the governor [Sergei] Taruta could neither cope nor resolve this issue the way we had decided,” said Korban.
“I want you to understand how the Dnipropetrovsk region is. Donbass – it’s just the coal and steel output. Yes, coal is important for the country, but the Dnipropetrovsk region – it’s manganese ore, it is iron ore, it’s YuzhMash [Южный Машиностроительный Завод, Southern Machine Factory. They make rockets and missiles]. That is, if the Dnipropetrovsk region fell, today we would be with you all, including the public prosecutors (looks at them at close range) today living in another country – another country! Which would be divided along the Dnieper. There would be no Ukraine today, no Dnipropetrovsk region, no Kherson, no Mykolaiev, no Zaporozhye, and no Odessa.
Because in Zaporozhye last year there was no governor, in fact, we carried out patronage throughout Zaporozhye and on the other side, throughout Odessa. We closed them, carried out operation “pliers.”
After that, in May, we reported to Turchynov, who was then acting president, that the enemy was practically on the verge of the Dnepropetrovsk region. Turchynov said, well, do something if you can. Because sitting in Kiev, they were engaged in a host of other things.
And then we conducted a police operation – it killed 2 or 3 people, not thousands! We liberated the cities of Krasnoarmeysk, Dimitrov, Dobropole, Oleksandrovka, Velyka Novosilka region and liberated Mariupol together with the “Azov” battalion – boasted the associate of Kolomoisky.
“Western media are eager to advance Alexander Dugin as a Russian fascist and the brain behind Putin – he isn’t the former and certainly not the latter, as the two are more often at odds than not.
Nonetheless, he is an interesting thinker and with considerable influence on various Russian patriots
He has recently broken a one year media silence to give an exhaustive interview on the results of the pro-Russian unrest in Ukraine last year, the war in Syria, and the inevitability of a final battle in East Ukraine.
He argues that renewed war in Ukraine is even more likely now than before because it is the US’s only means to parry Russian successes in Syria.
“The war in Donbass will be imposed on us by Washington and Kiev.”
“And if we were not fighting ISIS in Syria, then we would have to do it in Central Asia.”
“Yes, we are losing (in the Ukraine), but we haven’t lost yet so far as the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics control the border.”

““The last five years have seen a range of international developments, ranging from the growth of radicalization and fundamentalism, to growing concerns around our energy supply, and rising aggression from Russia,” the summary of the upcoming UK National Security Strategy report reads.
“Russia’s actions in Ukraine have introduced question marks over the role and future of NATO operations in neighbouring countries and re-awakened the threat posed by Russia to states in Eastern Europe and the Baltic, some of which are NATO and/or EU member states,” reads the Russia section of the manual.
“Russia’s increasing isolation in international politics (for example, the G8 met last year as the G7, excluding President Putin from the table), increased military spending and apparent willingness to display force in the face of universal condemnation suggest the next five years could well see an escalation of the Russian threat to the security of Western Europe.Listed threats are the volatile situation in Ukraine; China’s “authoritarianism and persistent human rights abuses on the part of the Chinese Government”; cybersecurity and organized crime; climate change; “increasing levels of forced population movement and migration, stemming from a variety of causes including conflict, economic instability and the impact of a changing climate”; Energy infrastructure; Economic shifts and stagnation within the Eurozone.

Leaders of the countries – members of the European Union (EU) summit in December 2015 to extend the current plan to sanctions against the Russian Federation (RF) for six months. It is reported by the German edition of Handelsblatt, citing unnamed European officials and representatives of the German government, reports Spiegel-Online.
It is noted that the easing of sanctions is possible only in case of compliance with the Minsk agreement on the conflict settlement in the Donbas and international control of the Russian-Ukrainian border.
“There is no reason for the lifting of sanctions” – leads edition of the words of one of the officials.
It is reported that the extension of restrictions on Russian support, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
At the same time calling for tougher sanctions to countries in Eastern Europe, while southern European states are mostly in favor of their abolition. It looks like the Ukrainian parliament isn’t that eager to get visa-free travel to the EU: they have rejected a gay rights bill and now the EU is angry.
The EU is getting on track with its own StopFake project. They have produced their first “Disinformation Review”: a little over 5 pages of claims and refutations. As it is just as boring as Stopfake – with most of the claims hardly relevant – and as it is published as a pdf and without a catchy url I don’t expect they will get many readers. http://eeas.europa.eu/delegations/ukraine/press_corner/all_news/news/2015/2016_11_04_1_en.htm
Mozgovoi/Ghost brigade has a worthy successor in its commander. May their tradition continue ever strong during the next dust up with the forces of cynicism and lies.
Not sure if it is of any use for you guys because it is in french but this is an interview of a former foreign volunteer in the donbass: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcRz9lSZ4PM
I knew a few guys like this in the Army, though they were all NCOs; always felt fortunate to have known them, too. It seems like the trait is kind of universal to professional militaries.
thiis is a nice video, long and peaceful talk by a soldier about his philosophy really.
And as its about the Ghost Brigade it reminds me of Kat Kan, who just loved this brigade and its … now deceased … leader, Mozgevoy (sp?).

I am quite certain that this kind of talk would not fly in the GHOST BRIGADE!
Cheers,
