EU’s Juncker Folds To Gazprom On South Stream Pipeline
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/08/2014 – 09:39

Although every bad thing that is not the fault of climate change is allegedly the fault of Putin, it seems the EU commissariat “didn’t really mean it” and wants to see South Stream built after all.

Useful essay from Petras on the role of Germany in the western fascist permanent war against Russia. Both historically under the nazi regime, when they were independent actors (though well manipulated in their role), and now in the present as a quisling regime of the ZPC/NWO (ironically much like the quisling regimes nazi Germany operated in the states they took over).

The Rise of German Imperialism and the Phony “Russian Threat”

    http://petras.lahaine.org/?p=2016

    Begins:

“Introduction: The principle Nazi ideological prop that secured massive financial and political support from Germany’s leading industrialists was the Communist and Soviet threat. The main Nazi military drive, absorbing two-thirds of its best troops, was directed eastward at conquering and destroying Russia.

The ‘Russian Threat’ justified Nazi Germany’s conquest and occupation of the Ukraine, the Balkans, Eastern Europe and the Baltic states, with the aid of a substantial proportion of local Nazi collaborators.

After Germany’s defeat , division and disarmament, and with the extension of Soviet power, the US reinstated the Nazi industrial and banking giants, officials and intelligence operatives. At first they were engaged in rebuilding their domestic economy and consolidating political power, in collaboration with the US military occupation forces.”

    & ends:

“The ideological centerpiece of US-German imperial expansion and conquest in Europe and the Caucuses is the “Russian Threat”. It is the touchstone defining adversaries and allies. Countries that do not uphold sanctions are targeted. The mass media repeat the lie. The “Russian Threat” has become the war cry for cringing vassals – the phony justification for imposing frightful sacrifices to serve their imperial ‘padrones’ in Berlin and Washington – fearing the rebellion of the ‘sacrificed’ population. No doubt, under siege, Russia will be forced to make sacrifices. The oligarchs will flee westward; the liberals will crawl under their beds. But just as the Soviets turned the tide of war in Stalingrad, the Russian people, past the first two years of a bootstrap operation will survive, thrive and become once again a beacon of hope to all people looking to get from under the tyranny of US-NATO militarism and German-EU economic dictates.”

They need to build SOMETHING otherwise they’ll have to carry the gas home in plastic bags all the way from Turkey/Greece border.

Of course they will have to pay for it themselves now. And try to collect transit fees of the end-user, as Gazprom’s interest in it stops at that border hub so THEY won’t be paying transit.

Gazprom has already addressed the “didn’t really mean it” story…they said how do we know they don’t change their minds back again in 3 months of 8 months or 2 years?

What with the South Stream law and the Mistral ships, EU has proven themselves to be totally unreliable to do business with. They’d better get cracking, too, as the Turkey Stream will be finished in under a year…sort distance to go, all the pipe is ready (left over from South Stream), and run through countries where a President can make a decision and doesn’t need 3 years of committees to tell him where he can build something.

Once Turk Stream is built, they will STOP SELLING THROUGH UKRAINE. That means no gas for next winter unless they get moving NOW.

Might be interesting, from today’s RT:

“Canada will send its military police to Ukraine as a part of a security cooperation agreement signed Monday that aims to help the government and security forces to protect the country’s territorial integrity.”

I smell trouble. Do they really want cook off WW3?

GlobalResearch, a Canadian site which claims to be alternative and independent, just published an article about German Foreign Minister Steinmeiers, calling him a Hitler out for world domination.

I thought I was reading the NewsYorkTimes for a minute. Or something about Putin.

    http://www.globalresearch.ca/german-foreign-minister-steinmeiers-great-power-speech-to-big-business/5418514

Interesting use of quotes around single words, too, which I am sure change the meaning of what was actually said. The story was first published on a socialist web site.

For some broad commentary on internal and external threats to Russian sovereignty, the new Cold War, the meddling of the Israelis in the South Stream deal, and a video of the fighting at the Donetsk airport, see article called “Novorossiya Rolling Analysis Dec 7-8” at

    http://quemadoinstitute.wordpress.com/2014/12/08/novorossiya-rolling-analysis-dec-7-8/

Incidentally, some commenters here have asked about how to use these links. On my system, I just sweep them off with the cursor and right click, then select the option to go to the link. Someone suggested creating the link when you write the comment. That feature doesn’t seem to work for me.

Actually Global Research is more like platform. In this case what is “guest” article. Author is hard leftist, article was published on “world socialist” website as well …

@Anon at 20:00 – writing a link uses standard HTML markup, and it’s one of the few HTML tags this Blogger comment box will allow.

I can’t paste the code here as an example however, because Blogger will turn it into a link.

This lady has a simple example you can copy and paste, inserting your own information into the link, and it will work:

Regarding the Canadian Military police, I did wonder and get worried too. Then I remembered reading in one of the comments in Saker, that there seems to be a problem with Mercenaries for Kiev not being paid and they are really REALLY ticked off and beginning to be threatening, particularly as they feel they are being used as cannon fodder, and they are to shoot at anything in military uniform (which for some reason seems to mean that they should get paid more).

I now figure that these Canadian police MIGHT be some security for the Oligarchs in Kiev to protect them from ticked off mercenaries.

I am not sure but I have a feeling that when Hollande spoke with Putin, they may have devised a way to give Poroshenko an ultimatum. So it might be there is some other motivation to have him make the ceasefire work.

    I guess we shall see!

Note this only happened now, AFTER the ‘evidence’ in the form of parts & wreckage has been gathered and shipped back by JIT (several stories on this in past 48 hours), & only that which they selected without Malaysia present.
    ————————–
Now that it has become a member of JIT, analysts must vigilantly watch to ensure it is allowed full access to evidence and equal participatory standings. While Malaysia’s inclusion provides hope that JIT will now be unable to pursue a political agenda with impunity, the possibility is high that NATO will simply cite Malaysia’s inclusion in JIT to legitimize its actions, no matter how biased the conduct of JIT’s investigation may be or how skewed its outcome, even if Malaysia raises protests over both,

MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. The speaker of Russia’s lower house of parliament, Sergey Naryshkin, has called on Europe to decide its future by itself and not be subjected to the influence of the United States that has pursued the policy of splitting nations on the continent.
“It’s high time European states took control of their own destiny without resort to a bear’s service rendered by those who only provoke conflicts, sow violence, devastation, humanitarian catastrophes and loss of lives,” the State Duma speaker told journalists on Tuesday.

MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. Moscow is calling on Kiev to swiftly launch a constitutional process, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after talks with his Belgian counterpart Didier Reynders on Tuesday.
“We are convinced that now a systematic problem, namely Kiev’s inability to launch the constitutional process, has emerged to prominence,” Lavrov said. “This needs to be done immediately,” he stressed.
Moscow would like to see the Council of Europe’s (CE) more active role in legal monitoring in Ukraine, Lavrov siad. “We support the program the Belgian presidency of the Council of Europe has drafted,” he said. “Russia would like the CE to pay greater attention to extremism and exert more active efforts for the protection of rights of minorities. Also, we believe that the CE should be more actively involved in legal monitoring in Ukraine.”
Russia may play the key role in control over Ukraine ceasefire, Belgium’s Foreign Minister Didier Reynders said after talks with Lavrov.

Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Chechen Republic Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov earlier Monday called for excluding the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
“We heard purely fascist calls from Ukrainian deputies. The Verkhovna Rada quietly supports these criminal statements and demonstrates that Ukraine has chosen the Nazi policy. I consider membership of the Verkhovna Rada [delegation] in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe inadmissible,” he said.

Moscow asking PACe to denounce ukr politicians support for recent terrorists.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov shares his stance on everything that has happened in the past year. He sat down with RIA Novosti to discuss the subjects of Russian-NATO relations, the Ukrainian crisis, the Arctic race, the ongoing conflict in Syria and the emergence of the eastern giant – China.
Russia is affected by Western sanctions imposed on Moscow, especially those imposed by Europe. Our partners in the European Union are affected by the countermeasures introduced by Moscow. How efficient is it for Russia to keep the countermeasures in place? Doesn’t it seem like Moscow is trying to save face by putting the well-being of Russian citizens at risk?

who said watch out for dirty tricks??
Moldovan police have detained seven people on suspicion they smuggled uranium and mercury from Russia to be used in a dirty bomb, AP said. If true an old scam, and if not true – an old scam vintage 1992 to approx 1996.

Played by “the Americans” and mirrored back by Yeltsin and associates as a defanging exercise amongst other reasons.

The materials you mention typically have “signatures” and in the quantity you cite not conducive to continued well being.

Perhaps it would be a “Christian duty” to advise the Moldovans.

They say the old ones are the best.

It seems uranium trafficking is popular in Moldova. Google it, and you’ll find convictions in previous years for this offence, as well as some arrests of people with previous convictions for the same.

This looks like the local cops have a geiger counter and want to justify keeping it….they seem to be the major “buyers” and keep “catching” the vendors.

“Google it, and you’ll find convictions in previous years for this offence, as well as some arrests of people with previous convictions for the same.”

Perhaps you are not familiar with Google, or Moldova or uranium.

The “criminal justice system” in Moldova is generally a way of paying the rent, as are considerations for the export of ladies.

As to “news” in Moldova that is not particularly taxing, and uranium in quantities cite injurious to continued well being.

The Yeltsin and co sham was:

The Americans – The Soviet stockpile is insecure lets visit to see how jointly to secure it – Obninsk and Seversk 1993 applies.

Yeltsin and co – The Soviet stockpile could be insecure and we can’t pay the wages, send us some money to do this also 1993.

Still don’t take my word for it – ask the Moldavian” authorities”, Boris Nickolayevich and co likely keeping stum.

I hear a chorus of weapons of mass destruction coming on.
