Dear friends
Quick reminder: we are about to freeze the blog and announce how/where to download the archive from. I expect the details posted here on Tuesday.
I want J.B. to know that I got everything he sent me.
Also, FYI – at the end of March I will close down this address for me: Saker Analytics, LLC, 1000 N. West Street, Suite 1200 #1588, Wilmington, DE, USA 19801. If you need to send me something, please email me for instructions on how to do that (we are still not living in our home which was flooded by Hurricane Ian).
Love to all
Andrei
祝你 身體健康,家庭幸福,及一切順利。
Wish you Good Health, Happy Family, and Great Success.
All the best Andrei, thanks for the consistently astute analyses.
Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky,
That dost not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot:
Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
As friend remember’d not.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly,
King Lear, Shakespeare
I am going to miss this blog. It was one of the few places I could go to get honest commentary and views from intelligent people I respected. I wish you all the best Andrei, I know all the events of 2022 have been difficult for you. I pray that you are in a much better situation in 2023. Good luck to all the posters and contributors.
Good luck to you and yours in the future and many thanks for all the hard work you have put in over the years, who knows maybe our paths will cross in another time and place, same with the many posters on here,i will miss this place for sure.

With God as your guide; carry on, the best always. So many days VOS has been my go to. I did a screenshot of your recommended sites; thank you for this. Jag
“Der Lotse geht von Bord” – the cartoon of Bismarck leaving the ship of state comes to my mind
Best Wishes and many Thanks for your contributions – these times of The Saker are unforgettable.
Thank you Saker for all your analyses and great articles from your guests. I’ve been reading your blog for the past few years and always learned something there. I do wish that you won’t close the blog, but your reasons are understandable. I wish you the best of luck and I definitely will hope to see you somewhere in the blogosphere soon, if not re-opening the saker again?! (Just hoping, but I’ll definitely miss this blog!!!)
Thank you, Saker, and also a big *Thank You!* to webmaster Herb!!
Thank you, Saker! And hugs and a big thank you to the moderators and everyone who contributed to making this the top site I relied on for news on Zone B.
All the best Saker. Fly high.
Greetings, Sir,
I will surely MISS your blog – one of my GoTo sites for wonderful, educative, and insightful analyses. I will also miss your incredible scholarship, erudition and great analytical mind.
It was wonderful to have to have discovered your blog – I learned A LOT!
My thanks ad very deep appreciation. I wish you all the best wishes!
As we say on parting in Yoruba, O da bo!
There are no minor things regarding the shutdown of The Saker. It became a pillar of the new media outside of the government shills MSM has become. The Saker shutting down is a setback, but is understood.
I guess for the final time I get to say, “The Saker, when only the best will do”.
God bless ya, Andrei. Your work here will never be forgotten.
Cher Monsieur,
Merci – Votre blog et vos analyses vont beaucoup me manquer.
Je vous souhaite de tout mon coeur une bonne santé et une longue vie à vous et à votre famille.
Cordialement.
I wish you all the best. Thank-you for the blog which was unique and invaluable.
Dear Saker,
with a heavy heart I/we all have to say farewell to this blog. I honestly do not remember when I first discovered this haven of open thought and source of understanding about so many historical events as well as background information on so much happening in our world today. TheSaker said he started in 2007 so it is possible I have been reading here not so long after that. By the time of the Maidan and 2014, it was my daily place to check into. Your blog has been a part of my life now for years and Anglozionist terminology has been a clear framework for my world view. This is the first and only time I will post here. Many others have plenty to say and I find my perspective in the thoughts of many recorded. There have been excellent posters over the years from whom I have also learned so much. Today I wanted to post and personally let TheSaker know what an invaluable service and inspiration to me that he has been.
The fact that he hosted other authors with a multitude of subjects and thoughts to sweep the cobwebs out of different parts of my mind has been stimulating and a continuous source of learning. I will miss reading those articles a lot, thank you to those contributors -I will miss their articles! “Non MSM news” is a great source as well as what goes on at the “cafe”. The information about the Orthodox religion was very interesting and a rare source of understanding about something little known to me and probably many others in the “west”. TheSaker analyses have been excellent, among the best to read on the internet.
I think a big issue for the contrast between east and west is the whole philosophy of competition vs. cooperation. The US is a highly competitive society, wanting to win at all costs not because they are more skilled or better but because it fuels their egos and their supremacist attitude. This competitive attitude is instilled in children when they are still in kindergarten and grade school, taking away opportunity to just play and enjoy childhood vs. serving as a source of gratitude for parents competing with other grow-ups whose kids are better than yours, mine, etc. Interesting that few when they reach adulthood actually continue to compete in this manner. When they leave school, many become disillusioned with life or feel that they can’t measure up to “whatever it is that one has to achieve”. Many Americans know everything in the US is better than anywhere else in the world so why bother to inquire how it is everywhere else or even to explore other places or ways of thinking. To cooperate or to show respect for others way of thinking is almost considered a weakness, to avoid at all costs. Due to this, too many in the US have eliminated their support for ideas that could improve their own life situation. Having lived outside of the US most of my life, and having traveled the world, I have had the opportunity to reflect on so many aspects of the Am. society in relationship to so many other cultures that sustain others in the world. Much of what Americans believe is produced by Hollywood and that colors their understanding of history as well.
TheSaker blog has hosted so many varied concepts, geopolitical understanding and different points of view and mirrors the multi-polar world to come. It has also given hope for a world of more balanced interests and tolerance. Although TheSaker blog closing is a real spiritual loss, perhaps it is a sign of what is to come. We will see.
Thank you again, Andrei for impacting on my life views and understanding of our world, past and present. All the best of health and well-being for you and your family in the future.
Also best wishes and thank you to your enormously important support team that sustained the blog in your absence and who have kept things working over the years. I can remember so well the drama and attacks that prompted moving the blog to Iceland (is) that time and so many other hurdles all successfully overcome. It has been an amazing journey following you.
Thanks for the ride and good health Andrei.
You can do a One-Off come out of retirement Special when the lights finally go out for America’s Ukraine Nazi aspirations.
Thank you Andrei for this excellent resource.
I learnt a lot from your excellent writings.
Your humane outlook towards all the different people around the world was well articulated without diluting your own self identity. I shows how to me as a Muslim that there are sane voices even among those who are of European and western background who a person of any age and time can relate to.
It’s only after thinking for two weeks after your announcement it sunk into my concious that this place which provided a wide range of views and opinions under your excellent guidance will no longer exist.
Your situation with your home and health shows that how much you needed to do this. We surely miss this blog but your family, health and home come first .
I wish we can occasionally hear from you some where in the various blogs Or videos even if you discuss some other topic apart from geopolitics,
I would love to read/ hear more about the Russian Orthodox church and it’s philosophy from you.
I hope to find your comments on other websites – maybe of your friends – soon. I hope.
I understand your strategic decision. I was in similar crucial crossroad in 1962 (suite in jail), 1968-70 (Prague Spring, contacts with PGU KGB), 1989+. Born in Protektoret Boehmen und Maehren in 1941, it was my fullified life – I met in 56-60 few times – with my parents – Khrushchov, Mikoyan, Souslov, Kaganovich, Fourtseva, and Serov, Korotkov too… Etc. Prague jail 1962, military service 1962-64, university studies 1958-1962 and 1969-74… Milano univ IT summer studies 1989 and Paris/Prague FR management studies 1991-93…
Life is not easy, but due.
Be sain et sauf, take care of yourself and your family.
Sincerely
Pavel
It would all make sense, the farewells, the amazing articles and posts, and saker’s resolute, caring approach to closing the blog, if the world haden’t reached such a precarious cliff edge, which seems to anull its major significance on the one hand, and heighten it on the other… The cataclysmic changes that threaten: major war, economy, enviroment, technical, societal resets, challenge us to wake up, and so we must, are, and will continue, each in their own way, to unite, for the future, our children, and for our beautiful planet which is theirs.
Thanks Andrei for all your hard work. It has made a change to many.
I wish you and your family all the best.
As the saying goes, All good things…
Alas! Another light of truth is being extinguished, and the world will be a darker place.
Thank you Saker, for your work over the years.
Just wondering, though….why no succession plan for this site? That is one of the first things they taught us in biz school.
Please read all of the Saker’s recent posts (to be found in “Saker Analyses And Interviews”) – everything is explained from 31st Jan onwards. Thx. Mod.
I never went to biz school :-)
sakerfan,
Simple, it’s a victory of the forces of darkness over light, and we will have to double our efforts…
I will miss this blog. There were many articles that gave me an entire new view on past events and a much clearer picture on countries East and West. Thank you Andrei for bringing so much insightful writers for us. This will be a place remembered! Happiness, health and prosperity for you and all those dear to you!
Dear Andrei.
You and the Saker blog have been a geopolitical game changer.
You have opened the eyes of many people in the west, to the crimes against humanity our governments and their Fascist Elite are doing under cover of democracy.
Today, the Western Elite stands absolutely exposed as the military aggressors on a global scale, and even the people in the West are rising up against their tyranny.
Changes are coming, as people all over the planet joins common cause toward human rights and for all.
Thanks for your immense knowledge, courage and exhausting work to wake up the west.
May God bless you and your family.
@EVERYBODY:
That’s it, tomorrow is “curtain down”.
Thank you all for your immense kindness and support!
I will forever cherish the memory of all the beauty you have shown me.
God bless you all, with much love
Andrei
Thank you for all you do Andrei, and to your amazing team, and your family and all those who contributed to your quintessential blog. You are so gifted and your beautiful instrumental guitar work will always be cherished. Thank you so much for sharing my video in 2018, Really Small Town by One Eyed Oracle; my prescient take on all things wrong in the world of double standards. Bless your heart and soul, with love, Boris :)
A thank you to The Saker and all his helpers for all the years of them giving us the finest current events blog in existence. I will really miss it being here. It has become a large part of my day and of my ability to see what is happening in the world we live in. Here at The Saker our community has created something truly special over the years. No one could have done a better job than The Saker with building that.
Thank you Andrei. I shudder to think how it might have turned out if I hadn’t found your blog. Probably an existence as an NPC with no chance at escape. No one can say that you didn’t give it your all. The Vineyard project did buy time to move the narrative where it counts I think. Not enough to stop a war, but maybe enough to solidify an idea. Maybe the idea is enough. Going to miss this place – your wit, the guest writers, and the regulars at the Cafe
Best of health and relaxations,
North East
See you, bye bye !
I feel sorry for you.
Don’t afraid, be courageous.
Wish you a happy family life in USA,
Andrei I do not have the words to express my gratitude to you for all you have done here. I wish you, your family and all those close to you good health, and happiness. This war will end one day as all others have in the past let us pray that humanity does not end with it.
Best wishes
Chad
Thank you thank you Andrei. This was among the very first sites where I found seekers for the truth, people speaking truth to power. You have done a great service and I wish you well…
Hello good mornings peace:
Mr Saker
My honor to say
U r a great guy and loved
Reason for postn’
So a scholar Imran Hosein is on the road and Saker Blog is in the process of closing (so there is only a slim snowballs chance in Hell that Imran Hosein sees this) (that is my reason in posting it here as everyone wants to see Mr Saker’s on his last day out the door (bye mr saker – friend- u will be missed-))
1) Kindly suggestion to scholar Imran Hosein to respond (time permitting)
2) Thesis Topic: relate the Hadith about one man having to care for the needs (security) for about 50 women (rough ratio) of the respective community of women around him. Assume analysis from a post ww3 perspective only.
2a) Assume one has to overlap the previous context with the Hadith about bloodshed increasing (assume post ww3-likely 1st major sign of Day of Judgement) in the end times.
3) Conclude your analysis with what is the “mechanism” whereby Dar Bi’ til ard (transliteration in English as Beast of the earth (actual not symbolic) functions. (Dar b’tal ard is a beast of the earth whose function is to identify (correctly) a believer vs a non believer (regardless of religious affiliations)(meaning it is based on the individual believer not any particular religious affiliation- so there is a actual way to know – it is not theory based or media based)
For disclosure Hadith are information from last prophet in this case only pertaining to the end times (post ww3)
Thank u
peace on mr Saker (and humanity)-
Saker.
Your site has been an eye opener for me since I discovered it in 2014, about Hezbollah, Iran, Russia, Orthodoxy and so many other topics.
Many thanks and all the best!
Best wishes, Andrei. If only I could read the Russian language :`( You have shown me what cultural and human riches are there, east of Europe.
But I understand, you have explained it well, why you must close.

Estimated Andrei, I arrived in the blog for a few years for a mention of PCR to its analysis. Since then it was an almost daily reading and company that I will miss; An oasis of reality that I shared how much I could in a misleading world.
I wish you the best in your health and general welfare and I would like to see you in the future participating somewhere.
Waiting for the failure of the war of evil against Russia and the peoples of the world.
A hug from Chile, with admiration and thanks.
