Things are not going as well for the western world as expected. Of course, we can condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine (or “special operation” as the Russians call it), but it’s not possible to look back at events, erasing what happened in Maidan Square in 2014, with the extreme-right coup d’état (Svoboda party used considerable resources, which included thousands of ideologically committed activists and was, as Colonel Richard Black noted, supported by the US, through infiltrated activist movements), and in subsequent years, in which more than 10,000 Russians were killed by the Ukrainian army.
One of the aspects of this war is that it made us better understand the influence of the USA in countries in which they act according to their geo-political interests; it made us understand how Russia acts in a thoughtful and at the same time ruthless way towards its enemies; and made us see how Ukraine is an autocratic country, far from being a liberal democracy, in which more than a dozen parties have been outlawed, in the style of classic dictatorships. It is, in a way, a pedagogical war.
The recent dismissal of the head of Ukraine’s secret services by President Volodymir Zelensky, following the Russian attack on an officers’ mess in Vinnytsia on 14 July, during a high-level meeting with international delegations, seems to convey the idea of that there are internal security flaws in the Ukrainian military apparatus. According to some credible sources of information, this attack in Vinnytsia will have eliminated not only Ukrainian participants, high cadres of the Air Force, but also foreign delegations. Something very similar had already happened in Yavoriv, near Leviv, on the 13th of March.
Information already substantiated by the Ukrainian side claims that President Zelensky announced the resignation of Ivan Bakanov, a childhood friend of his and the head of the Ukrainian security services (SBU), and also of the Attorney General, Iryna Venediktova, due to alleged links to the Prosecutor’s Office from Moscow. On May 31, also with Zelensky’s consent, Lyudmyla Denisova, the human rights ombudsman, was fired. Lyudmyla Denisova was the one who broke the news – which she came to recognize as false – about Russian soldiers raping babies. She passed this information on to the Italian Parliament with the intention of shocking public opinion. And they arrived in Portugal, as in other European countries, judged as credible facts, until they were finally denied. These are very embarrassing cases. Russians may lie, but in this respect they still haven’t managed to reach Ukrainians’ refinements of lying. We’ve already become used to scam rules.
What we now have on the table is a real trust issue in Ukraine: according to the Ukrainian president, more than 60 SBU officers are working against Ukraine in territories controlled by Russian-speaking separatists and Russian troops; in addition, it announced 650 prosecutions for treason and collaborationism. Zelensky doesn’t seem very satisfied with the performance of the cadres that make up his inner circle, which may reinforce the thesis that the US and the British are not managing to keep him in office.
It’s easy to see that Zelensky is being held by wires and that if he fails to stop the Russians, he himself will be fired and forgotten. The man who condemned the Ukrainian people to resistance supported by an unjustifiable and painful sacrifice is now trying to save his own skin. It’s a terrible paradox, but human nature has gotten us used to it.
There are many ways to destroy a country: one is to invade it, as Russia did; another may just be an economic blockade. In this respect, the USA have excellent credits. The blockade on Cuba, which not even Obama was able to lift, was recently protested by the City Council of the city of New Haven in the USA. There’s still a slight hope that American public opinion itself will understand what Biden regime is up to in Ukraine. Issues of conscience and trust.

It is said that every war is a bankers war and I can agree with that. In addition, every war is to test equipment and weapons for future wars as the war machine of nations are task to test their limits and ideas. Mankind is destroyed to the pleasure of the demonic elitist that govern the nations. There appears no end to war for it is big business, however the final battle will determine eternity and the bankers will loose.
About “Russian soldiers raping babies”: that, I may say, American style of lying is nothing new for people remembering Iraq wars. Then there were popular US statements, that Iraqi soldiers “kick infants out from incubators”. The same propaganda product, made in insane minds.
That project was the lovechild of a hungarian jew called Tom Lantos, who, for the given period was wearing the credentials of a US Senator. He was also claiming to b a “holocaust survivor”.
go figure…
Kranking it up even further, there was a particularly risible story of high-testosterone young soldiers from some country or other being equipped with viagra to help them rape the inhabitants. Total bollo!
“raping babies” ?
Oh please, please give me (us) a break….
Next it’ll be eating babies, & raping (& eating) nuns.
Even propaganda should have some standards…. [Sorry, for that frolic off into the delusional]
During the American Civil War (1861-1865), at the beginning of the war, both sides spread rumors that the other’s soldiers ate babies. Nothing along these lines is new.
Please give evidence of Russian lying. I find this article not useful.
The point of the article seems to be about Ukrainian lies – fully-controlled by America, which has a history of extraordinary and outrageous lies.
The US (and EU) media are 100% behind promulgating these lies – in support of their destructive agenda in other countries, and to undermine domestic voices who might interfere with their (war)criminal schemes.
The US is the Empire of Deceit and Destruction.
Zelensky and Ukrainian regime figures are just doing what their Master says – possibly in the hope of being personally rewarded – nevermind the destruction to their country and their (sadly hatred-propaganda-driven) countrymen – they are disgusting!
Yes, the story is Ukraine’s many and enormous lies. Yet the author felt the need to insert “Russians may lie”. He would probably get in trouble if he said “Jews may lie”, with or without examples of such.
Agree. Ukraine’s abundant lies, used as a skilled artifice, is getting many innocents killed.
In contrast, Russia’s complete secrecy on it’s troop movements, armament, and munitions specs, is a wholly justified nondisclosure of critical information. And is saving lives.
Putin made it abundantly clear, he would not be responsible for this war. Or for defending the Donbass region by legal right.
No lies there whatsoever.
I totally agree with Jordi. The author is a man of letters from my country! Specialist in Portuguese-language literature from the former Portuguese colonies. But let me just say that it’s still as far as you go in most of Western Europe. And the issue of lies that Jordi mentions may even be the least serious. It may just be referring to some one-off propaganda that happens in all conflicts. In Portugal before the 24th of Feb, due to the 2014 coup and above all to the 8 years of NATO intervention in Ukraine that was never of NATO, it was heard a lot to say that if Russia were to do the same in Mexico, the USA They didn’t wait 8 days let alone 8 years! And after Russia spent nearly 20 years warning the international community that it would no longer tolerate the advance of NATO to its borders and the EU about non-compliance with the Minsk Accords, they were all in shock when Russian forces finally entered. in Ukraine?! In a first phase, clearly only with a show of force that could still bring Ukraine to the negotiating table without firing a shot as in Crimea in 2014. Which also had to be rescued so as not to be without the Sevastopol naval base. That was the plan of the US and the UKR proxy government.
When even many Russian soldiers already wanted to resolve the Donbass issue. But Russia never acts outside the framework of international law. Hence the need to first recognize the independence of the two Republics in order to launch a preventive operation as provided for by the UN charter. Besides, we can never forget how Russia was completely assaulted in the 90’s and might not be ready to defend Donbass afterwards. How is it today. Russians should be happy to have someone with a brain in the Kremlin!
Russia more than entering Ukraine to liberate Donbass – the great legal pretext – and consolidating Crimea with kherson and today many more Russian-speaking regions due to the wider West’s participation in the conflict, Russia entered Ukraine to face and permanently expel NATO from its borders. As promised to Russia when the Berlin Wall came down! We are therefore talking about the European security architecture, one of Russia’s demands before the 24th! To which Russia will rightfully return at the end of the conflict. The problem is that the EU was never more than a creation of the US like NATO to control Europe. That almost 100 years after World War II it is nothing more than an American colony. With over 100 military bases in Germany alone!
https://moderndiplomacy.eu/2020/11/13/how-the-cia-created-the-eu/
So that Russia’s objective today, more than pushing NATO away from its borders, is to definitively destroy NATO. Which I think it will definitely achieve and we’ll see how the EU is after the recession it’s going to face. Russia, in addition to the battle of Ukraine, is now involved in a much bigger political and economic war to end the unipolar World Order that emerged from the fall of the Berlin Wall! And I believe that we are already living in a New Multipolar World Order. The US has just been literally expelled from the Middle East. Also by Iran, the biggest regional power! And one of the first US coups in ’53 right after WWII. And ever since then, the greatest threat to world peace. In the last 3 conflicts alone, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, 1 MM dead and 20 MM refugees.
Finally, as for Russia having entered Ukraine there should be no doubt that it did so to defend its existence as a great Sovereign Nation. The investment of neocons and NATO in Ukraine was not only aimed at the neo-Nazi nationalists being able to exterminate the Russian ethnicity. The objective, as the Americans themselves have confessed, was always to weaken Russia in order to depose Putin. To assault Russia again like in the 90s! And in this way they also aborted the alliance with China and the great geostrategic changes that are already being felt in the world. And on the way to imprison the EU even more, disconnecting it completely from the Russian energy without which it cannot survive. Since I don’t understand what other reaction Russia could have had when it was seeing its very existence threatened more than 20 years ago! Since the installation of the first missile ramp in Poland!
John Mearsheimer said how disappointed he was to be labelled as a Russian propagandist. He writes
“When I was a young boy, my mother taught me that when others can’t beat your arguments with facts and logic, they smear you. That is what is going on here. This is what they are doing to Putin, and this is what they have done to every leader (Allende, Milosevic, Hussein, Gaddafi and many others) they killed in the last 100 years.
Others seem to understand this, but are silenced. You write, “I don’t understand what other reaction Russia could have had when it was seeing its very existence threatened more than 20 years ago! Since the installation of the first missile ramp in Poland!” You seem to understand this well, as do the ones labelled as Russian propagandists, including all of us reading the Saker. The difference between us and those who would accuse us “j’accuse” them of murder and crimes they attribute to us. Read Émile Zola’s letter to the President of France and Sacco’s letter to his son Dante. Let me just give you a few lines from what he wrote
{—} “Don’t cry, Dante, for many, many tears have been wasted
As your mother’s tears have been already wasted for seven years
And never did any good”
So, son, instead of crying, be strong, be brave
So as to be able to comfort your mother
And when you want to distract her from the discouraging soulness
You take her for a long walk in the quiet countryside
Gathering flowers here and there
And resting under the shade of trees, beside the music of the waters
The peacefulness of nature, she will enjoy it very much
And you will surely, too
But, son, you must remember: Don’t use all yourself
But down yourself, just one step
To help the weak ones at your side
The weaker ones that cry for help, the persecuted and the victim
They are your friends, friends of yours and mine
They are the comrades that fight — yes, and sometimes fall
Just as your father, your father and Bartolo, have fallen
Have fought and fell, yesterday, for the conquest of joy
Of freedom for all
In the struggle of life you’ll find, you’ll find more love
And in the struggle, you will be loved also”

Thanks.
Thank you, Paulo!
Putin said that the Ukraine could either speak to Lavrov or Shoigu; it chose Shoigu…
Conscience is the last refuge of a condemned man.
Ukraine/US/vassals are fighting with everything they have to make Ukraine whole again. Their PLAN, on one hand, to fire Himars and other heavy duty WMD’s at civilian targets in the Donbass , the second, to set these weapons systems up in housing projects, schools and other civilian dwellings dotted around the country . This strategic CIA tactical operation IMO will not win hearts & minds in Ukraine.
“There are many ways to destroy a country: one is to invade it, as Russia did”
Which country did Russia destroy by invading it?
This is a good question, because since 2014 Ukraine has been a client state of the Western Anglo-Zionist Empire, a quasi-European state forcibly divorced from Russia and not representative of the people esp those in the Donbass regions. Only the borders could define the ‘country’ Ukraine, and even those had been disputed and changed over the long term. Stated honestly, the ‘invasion’ and ‘destruction’ of Ukraine were perpetrated by the West, and the SMO became necessary to eliminate imminent threats to Russia’s security as well as to ethnic Russians in the Donbass who were (and continue to be) brutally attacked. The West has also politically and economically ‘invaded’ Russia through sanctions and hate campaigns. We need to be clear about who are the real invaders and defenders.
Western lies and media go hand in hand. From Braveheart “I will tell you of William Wallace. Historians from England will say I am a liar, but history is written by those who have hanged heroes.” I must add that “liars hang heroes and then write their memoirs and become heroes, this reminds me of what Winston Churchill said, “History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it”. This was Churchill’s way of saying he was going to be the winner, the hero, even though he was a liar as well as the keeper of his own legacy.
His legacy is one of mayhem. He was a white supremacist like Hitler. He defended the British use of concentration camps in South Africa, where some 28,000 Dutch people and 14 000 South African blacks died. He as Lord of the Admiralty used mustard and chlorine gas against Kurdish Civilians. He said, “I am strongly in favour of using poisoned gas against uncivilized tribes…[It] would spread a lively terror.” He participated in scorched earth policy cleansing whole Valley, burning homes and crops in the Sudan. To him, blacks were “kefirs” and East Indians “fakirs”. He called Gandhi “the little naked fakir”. He saw the whites as Aryan stock that was destined to rule the world. All of this sounds kind of familiar, does it not, that we attribute to the man with the hair comb mustache? The media is ow resurrecting “the man with the hair comb mustache” into a hero and the drummer is a Ukrainian Jew of all people.
In 1653, Oliver Cromwell spoke about England’s House of Commons: “It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.” “He called them “sordid prostitutes” and a “den of thieves”. In 4 and a half centuries nothing has changed other than it’s been exported to the USA, Canada, and Australia.
One of the main differences between Western liars and liars in USSR is that we knew who the lies served in USSR, while in the West we don’t know. We are debating the criminality of lies, but like Churchill said, history will be kind to him since he plans to write it. Seems like the majority in the West have swallowed the perversion of the truth so that Western lies no matter how vile are accepted by the masses as lies of those who oppose them.
Churchill is the most overrated Western politician. More in Europe than in the US, where many know its true character. Or lack of it. Churchill was never more than a populist like Boris Johnson. From here I even agree with the award Zelensky has just received. Good for cheats. And it’s not even worth talking about the case of the RMS Lusitania – with facts still to be clarified – when he was First Lord of the Admiralty. Churchill always hated the USSR and hence the Iron Curtain. But he spent the entire WWII crawling to Moscow to ask for help. And already after the Soviets had defeated the Nazis and won the war on the Eastern Front and Hitler had blown his head off in the final days of the Battle of Berlin with the Western Allies still a long way off, Churchill and Patton were in Reims ready to accept Jodl’s surrender and let the Nazis continue to fight the Russians. If this is not a true invertebrate that Europe still celebrates…
And how did the EU, created by the US, which saved hundreds of Nazis in Nuremberg like butcher Klaus Barbie, Bandera and Lebed, thank almost 30 million Soviet lives? In 2019 it passed a resolution blaming both Stalin and Hitler for WWII. Which is absolute INFAMIA as any normal person knows when Stalin himself got fed up with asking England to both destroy Hitler before WWII and avoid it. INFAMY that is already part of the hate campaign for the Ukraine conflict! And the reason given by the EU is the Molotov Pact. For the USSR to buy time. They never say that a few days before in Munich, England and France they tried to convince Hitler to attack only Moscow and they turned a blind eye! Invertebrates and cowards! And Hitler spared both armies right afterward at Dunkirk!
Russia responded to the UN at the end of 2021, just two months after the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, when it finally managed to pass an old resolution to definitively condemn the glorification of Nazism that it already saw again on its border in Ukraine! With 130 votes in favour, 2 votes against and 51 abstentions. Only the US and proxy Ukraine voted against it. And the EU and NATO vassal states abstained. Enlightening the nature of everyone involved since Churchill! When almost 100 years after WWII the West, lord and vassals, still continue to lie about WWII with glorious fantasies like Operation Overlord, a front from which Hitler withdrew 50% of the troops to fight the Soviets on the eastern front and suddenly even remember to blame both Stalin and Hitler… They just never remembered to enforce the Minsk agreements! Or James Baker’s promises for the reunification of Germany!
I just wanted to add, because I forgot, that even today I believe that if FDR has lasted a couple more years, things could be very different. The story. Our common path! Including the two atomic bombs in Japan without any need just as an idiotic demonstration of power! Even if the WWII as Andrei says is just a continuation of the WWI. But it was a very important crossroads. So much so that some still believe they are living in the World Order that came out of WWII. They never saw the unipolar Order emerge after the end of the USSR. That if anything good has given the world, it is precisely balance! And don’t think I’m defending Stalin or communism. I’m just an economist and I just defend the truth and social justice! And I always thought that the political regime of each country only concerns its population. How unfair sometimes! In Portugal we lived 50 years under a right-wing dictatorship and it was we who got rid of it. Even paying a very high price in terms of development we still feel. Even with Lisbon being the best tourist destination 3 or 4 years in a row… What the hell! But better that than falling into the arms of a “savior” power like Ukraine has fallen. We only later fell into the arms of the EU!
Besides, I also believe that the USSR with Khrushchev killed the Stalin myth! And what ended up killing many economies in the West, like the US, was the return of neoliberalism in the 1980s without any regulation. Which is always the fastest way to return the inequalities of feudalism! And we’ll see if it doesn’t also definitively kill American democracy! Capitalism itself still went bankrupt in America first with Nixon no matter how hard you try to obscure it. And it didn’t take any tinkering with the Saudis to lower the oil. Vietnam was enough! Hence the petrodollar fraud. The Saudis who have now switched sides are all bankrupt. And I wish this industrial capitalism would come back to the US instead of the current financial capitalism of the rentiers. When they still didn’t need to hitchhike Musk to the moon! A good example of the transfer of public to private capital that has been taking place in the US for 40 years! Only wages never increased again! Where not even a universal health system exists. But they build wonderwaffens and have the most corrupt insurance companies in the world! In fact, in terms of political regime, even China arrests more individuals every year for corruption within the CCP Politburo than the EU in its entire existence. With demonstrably corrupt figures at the top of the hierarchy like Junckers or the Portuguese Barroso. And Russia, in my opinion, with so many natural resources in a neoliberal world, with a Western-style democracy, the same Karma immediately happens to it as with Yeltsin. It is soon completely assaulted by the financial markets as even poor countries are!
And finally to finish the crux of my comment. This year in Portugal, the excuse they found for the 24 hours difference between Victory Day in Moscow on May 9 and Victory Day in the West on May 8, which few countries celebrate, was the time difference… . And to be honest, I don’t even know if it was on purpose or out of sheer ignorance. But it is never said that after the Nazi surrender to the Western Allies many kilometers from Berlin, in Reims, when the Red Army had just taken Berlin, Stalin ordered a surrender in Berlin with the highest Nazi rank – Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel , supreme commander of all German forces! Not to mention another Hitler later denying the surrender of Reims as Hitler did with the Treaty of Versailles of the First World War, inventing that it was the Jews and Communists who betrayed Germany! And it was with this lie that the Nazis came to power in Germany! And this is the real reason why Moscow celebrates Victory Day on May 9th! With General Zhukov who was also famous for having prophesied as early as 1945 that we lost more lives than many European countries to defeat Hitler and we have just saved the world from Nazism and one day we will be accused of this. Well said well done! It is not by chance that Putin also calls it the Empire of Lies! Since not even the History of Humanity respects. And I’ve never appreciated personality cults! Not even with rock stars as a kid! The truth above all!
The blockade of Cuba, mentioned in the above post, is interesting. Why is this brutal and utterly unnecessary blockade continuing? Cuba poses no military threat, no economic threat, to the U.S. And yet, as the article says, not even “yes-we-can-but we-won’t” Obama could get it lifted.
Someone really has it in for Cuba, someone with a long and unforgiving memory. Could it be that in addition to shutting down the casinos and chasing the gangsters and the mafias back to Miami, Fidel also chased the Jews out of Cuba?
Or, do I have it wrong? I forget where I read this. Just asking…
What about Haiti and ‘The Black Jacobins’ written by C L R James since 1804 now under American/Canadian military occupation.
One of the worst enemies of American Capitalism is a good example. When Castro came to power, Cuba was a “whorehouse” of the Western World. CUBA is the most sustainably developed country in the world, according to a new report
The socialist island outperforms advanced capitalist countries including Britain and the United States, which has subjected Cuba to a punitive six-decades-long economic blockade. Debt to GDP, Cuba 21, while USA 137 . Outperforms many developed nations in education, health and other social indicators
Cuba is a hell-hole. Trust me, my father lived there for the best part of ten years and I’ve been there three times. Most Cubans make less than $40 per month, the hospitals are filthy and decrepit, medicines are only available if you know someone who works in a hospital pharmacy and who will take $$$ only, people can barely afford shampoo, light-bulbs and tooth-brushes, and the much-vaunted “education” system is chock-full of mindless propaganda – worse, in fact, than the West. Cuba is a bureaucracy in the worst sense of the term, and no Cuban in their right mind actually believes in “La Revolucion” anymore. The only thing they believe in is… fleeing the country. The sanctions have nothing to do with it, as only the United States enforced them: there is plenty of Spanish, French and Mexican investment in the country’s tourism industry and you can find Cohiba cigars everywhere in Europe. Sanctions are just used as an excuse by the Party to justify the long-suffering population’s endless misery.
In Batista day, Cuba was a country of peons and exporter of sugar processed by 99% 0f the population who were illiterate peons. Canada played a role in its development in dairy industry and cattle as well as oil production as one can see Canadian flags on oil rigs from Varadero to Havana. USSR of course was the major backer of the revolution. Cuban Missile Crisis is a prime example of US hypocrisy as is Venezuela , Chile and Argentina. Long story for this comment page but if you want to be honest you will see through the nonsense that you wrote.
The Cuban achievements in health and education ensure that Cuba does well on broad measures of
wellbeing. For example, Prados de la Escosura (2015a) shows that Cuba is one of the leading Latin
economies in terms of human development. Cuba ranks third in human development among Latin American economies for 2017. I have been to Cuba and Haiti and Mexico and Panama and USA, so which place do I want to go back to —you got it —CUBA.
As a pretty old (78) US citizen, I address the author’s hope as expressed in this statement: “There’s still a slight hope that American public opinion itself will understand what Biden regime is up to in Ukraine. Issues of conscience and trust.”
For over a half century I have watched in sickened disgust the US conduct its illegal wars of aggression in which my Country has murdered millions of innocent civilians. These wars have been sold to an ignorant and gullible public with lies. Contrary to the US lies, none of these wars were defensive; all were offensive, conducted for the dual purposes of furthering the US effort to obtain or preserve its unipolar status and to allow the oligarchs who actually make US policy to loot the invaded countries. After the Vietnam disaster, I was hopeful that the public would finally wake up and resist these criminal wars. My hope was futile. “Americans” are not only shockingly ignorant and easily manipulated by the evil cabal which controls this Country; they are also amnesiacs. They quickly forget the “lessons” they should have learned from the previous criminal behavior of “our” Country. I have given up completely on my fellow citizens to think critically or even remember the lessons learned yesterday, much less those they should have learned 40 or 50 years ago. The flagging waving nonthink which has accompanied the US lie machine to manufacture consent for conducting the US proxy war against Russia in Ukraine is sufficient evidence of the braindead status of my fellow citizens. Where were all these “progressives” during the eight year period when the US/Ukrainian government was murdering thousands of Ukrainian citizens in the Donbass? That eight year period has been erased from history by the US lie machine — and my fellow citizens are too dumb to figure that out. I give up on them.
”… after the Vietnam disaster..” well not quite. In the mid 70s, in Hong Kong, I met an ex US Navy Phantom F4 bomber/fighter pilot, who had transitioned to trading. He explained that they dropped more bombs into the South China Sea in precise, planned patterns than on the Veet Kong. Specialized ships mapped the blasts effects on the sea floor, analyzing for deposits of hydrocarbons. The found the mother load. Ever wonder why Murika is now cozying up the the Viets. Not do stoopid, eh?
Do you realise how long ago the Vietnam defeat occurred?
I worked in the oil patch looking for oil and gas deposits. It’s not done with 500 lb bombs.
Try drilling to the hard rock and then build plastic, electric det explosive harnesses, then lower then down hole.
Charges set at one third of a metre if l can remember, then a controlled electric firing, one shot at a time up to the surface. Electronic microphones in-bedded in the sand in a straight line for a kilometre recording the return shock waves.
Full computer analysis on site for two or three days. Plot and move on. 20 klm grid pattern.
It’s called Seismic Survey. That was in the mid 1980 ‘s.
Probably done from space now. Too old to care.
That yank was probably telling lies about being a fighter / bomber pilot as well. Some wannabe’s do that.
In the not too distant future, American/British civilians will be telling lies about all the Russian tanks they blow up.
I know a Victoria Cross winner, never heard him say one word about combat. Could make you laugh until you had tears in your eyes about all the nutty things young soldiers do. He knew how to spin the bullish downing a few beers with the lads. Never a word about blood and guts, you get that, with real hero’s. ( or looking for oil )
Thank you very much for your intervention, Jim.
Don’t give up on your fellow citizens yet.
It is extremely important that your reasoning and your observation of reality passes on to others. We all end up, more or less, being disillusioned, especially when we realize that it is difficult to intervene on the great mass of citizens. But your clarity of thought and your age cannot be wasted. Talk to the people around you: even if they don’t want to understand you, at least they realize that there are people who see it differently. This is just the beginning. Obviously, my speech is not intended to be an apology for naivety.
In reality, naive are those who believe in this glorious, victorious and hegemonic “America” (a word that is too monopolistic, as you know).
To “The Empire of Lies” add “The Empire of Hate.” Maybe someday “The Empire of Consequences.”
Leave it to the United States, “the beacon of Hope, of Freedom, of Democracy,” to come up with euphemisms for hate and hating. “Black Lives Matter” (and only Black Lives). “Wokeness.” “Cancel Culture.” “Open borders” instead of what things really are and for what is really going on: the stripping away of a nation’s sovereignty. While being so obsessed with the borders of the Ukraine.
Export this. Save the world for these fictions and lies.
Cancel Russia. Confiscate the private property of the Russian people. Steal billions from them. Demonize them. hate, Hate, HATE them. Pick-up where the Germans left off in 1945, treating Russia and Russians as sub-humans. Because you can. Because you can get away with it. Because you are the “Most Powerful Nation on Earth.”
No wonder the world’s “Richest Man on Earth” is right here in the United States. Elon Musk. A government man, with all those subsidies. Fully funded by American Taxpayer money. Protected.
I love the one about George Soros: a Jewish collaborator with the Nazis during World War II (“I was young. I didn’t know any better.” Stirring up trouble in the world, weaponizing democracy with his “Open Societies” and other so-called and so-named democratic organizations. Out to destroy the world, again, eh George? Et Tu, Brute George?
This no way to live. The Regime of Hate. Sieg Heil, baby.
