Not only is this video really funny, it is blissfully politically incorrect. Just see for yourself! Truth be told, the message of this video is pretty clear: vote for Putin or brace for either Commie or Western hell. In a deeper sense it also shows how most Russians feel about Soviet or Western “values”. By the way, a lot of people in Russia (Communists and liberals) were absolutely enraged by this video. Theres a lot of hidden details in this sketch as well, like showing the Black man as a mercenary thug type working for a oppressive government. The gay is eating a banana because it resembles genitalia, also most Russians dont like eating bananas because they have no place in their cuisine, but were popularised in Anglo lands during the Carribean slave colonies era. Russians do not approve of electronic monitoring which is widely tolerated in the west, shown here by the toilet time limit.
The statement that “most Russians dont like eating bananas because they have no place in their cuisine” is complete nonsense. Ecuadorean bananas are extremely popular and very cheap. Whenever we walk past the fruit and vegetable rinok my granddaughters always ask “банан дедя?”. Every supermarket and produkti in town sells bananas, a strange thing to do if as you allege ” most Russians dont like eating bananas”.

A brilliant comedic sketch — so many telling details: the Commissar’s wacky salute, the son’s dumb determination to join the Pioneers, the mechanical bathroom voice, the gay filing his nails with a colored emery-board etc.
