I need a Brian Boru to do to the empire what he did to the vikings, drive them from our land. The Irish finally did that to the bloody English except for the broken piece in the north. But now the vikings are back in the form of the English Empire redux Americana. We have to drive the vandals from the planet.

I can remember walking the green hills of Clare with a hatchet in my hand along a fence line. I had Brian in my head as I drove the hatchet into the top of the fence posts, imagining myself doing what he did. What folly?
Oh, but the crack was good in the pubs and the music better. Sad and glad in mixed up company.
