President “Biden” (i.e. the “collective” Biden, not the actual Bradon) penned an interesting article for the NYT entitled “President Biden: What America Will and Will Not Do in Ukraine“. The entire things is behind a paywall, and it is not really worth reposting it here. But I do want to comment on a few of “Biden’s” theses.
First, I will ignore the obnoxious habit of calling the USA “America”, when just Canada and Brazil alone are almost as big as the USA. Furthermore, the USA is only 9,833,520 km2 (3,796,742 sq mi) while the total area of the Americas is 42,549,000 km2 (16,428,000 sq mi). Finally, there are 35 countries in the Americas but, fine, okay, if saying “‘Murica” evokes imagines of Captain America and waving (Chinese made) flags – then fine. Let’s look at a few key sentences:
“America’s goal is straightforward: We want to see a democratic, independent, sovereign and prosperous Ukraine with the means to deter and defend itself against further aggression (…) We do not seek a war between NATO and Russia. As much as I disagree with Mr. Putin, and find his actions an outrage, the United States will not try to bring about his ouster in Moscow“
Now that is a HUGE change. In Russian, there is this expression of “changing shoes while in mid jump” (переобуться в прыжке) which refers to a situation when a person suddenly makes a full and instantaneous 180 after pompously insisting on a goal which is now dropped.
The initial plan was simple: to smash the Russian economy, have Putin overthrown in an insurrection of some kind, break apart Russia and then turn towards China and crush it. And, considering the absolutely extreme demonization of Putin, he was clearly designated as the object of total hate by “all of progressive and freedom loving mankind”.
And now “Biden” “generously” will allow Putin to stay in power. Yes, “Biden”, not the fact that the Russian population fully supports Putin, and the SMO. How stupid does “Biden” think that we all are?
Anyway, let’s continue,
“We will also continue reinforcing NATO’s eastern flank with forces and capabilities from the United States and other allies. And just recently, I welcomed Finland’s and Sweden’s applications to join NATO, a move that will strengthen overall U.S. and trans-Atlantic security by adding two democratic and highly capable military partners“
This entire paragraph can be summarized in all sorts of colorful ways, I will just call it counter-factual and delusional nonsense. Where do I even begin here? Let me describe the realty of NATO here, with a few bullet points.
- First, its goal. It’s real goal, of course, not all that propagandistic hogwash about freedom, democracy, etc. The real goal of NATO is simple: keep the “Russians out, Americans in, Germans down”. Mind you, Stalin wanted a united Germany, it is the US which said no. And NATO was created before the Warsaw Treaty Organization which in the West is called the “Warsaw Pact” because “pact” sounds more ominous. So we have a nice, shining and peace loving “North Atlantic Treaty Organization” on one hand, and and evil dark Warsaw Pact. See, from Day 1 that organization was aimed at misleading the popular opinion about its true goals. Even the “North Atlantic” part is a lie, just look at the NATO operations in Afghanistan!
- Second, in military terms, NATO is about 90% USA and the rest 10% riffraff. Oh yes, yes, I know, NATO countries have tanks, aircraft, soldiers, ships, etc. But don’t look at what they have, look at what they do not have. NATO is entirely depended on the USA for C4ISR, for logistics, for the maintenance of its weapons systems, for the training of its personnel, etc. etc. etc. The truth is that the USA is the only NATO power which matters, the rest just serve the PR function of a fig leaf to hide the undeniable fact that NATO is a military occupation force.
- Third, while NATO makes a lot of noises about anything and everything, in reality its military is a hollow, paper tiger. What NATO can do is attack weak, more or less defensive countries. And even then, its end score is pretty bad: they screwed up Libya, failed in Afghanistan and Iraq, failed in Syria and even failed (in military terms) against a single Serbian Army corps in Kosovo. Even its infamous operation Gladio was a total failure. The notion that NATO could take on Russia in a land war is absolutely hilarious and begs the question: with *what*???
- Finally, there are plenty of countries which have been de-facto part of NATO while remaining formally independent on the USA and NATO. It’s not just Finland or Sweden, it is also Switzerland and, of course, the Ukraine. So what matters is not the formal list of countries but the reality on the ground. The “expansion” of NATO to the East (Ukraine), South (Kosovo) or North (Finland, Sweden) changes absolutely nothing. All it does is further reduce the sovereignty and agency of these countries. But militarily, its the same old, same old.
Next,
My principle throughout this crisis has been “Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.” I will not pressure the Ukrainian government — in private or public — to make any territorial concessions. It would be wrong and contrary to well-settled principles to do so.
Another pearl for sure! So after Nuland’s “fuck the EU” we are now told that “Biden” has the utmost respect for the Ukraine and its brilliant leader Zelensky. But nevermind that, the key word here is “territorial concessions”. Here “Biden” is being very slick on two levels:
- He introduces the notion of “territorial concessions” into the doxa, the publicly accepted discourse.
- He places the entire burden and responsibility for any such concessions on the regime in Kiev. You could say that he washes his hands off this entire topic. Your on your own now, pal “Ze”!
Next comes this pearl of self-gratification:
Standing by Ukraine in its hour of need is not just the right thing to do. It is in our vital national interests to ensure a peaceful and stable Europe and to make it clear that might does not make right.
REALLY? Might does not make right? But then how was the USA itself born if not under that very principle. And then, the HUNDREDS of military operations and attacks the USA waged against almost every country on the planet in total illegality. How about all the so-called “sanctions” which are all illegal under international law, including various blockades and secondary sanctions. And how about Israel, this genocidal entity which every single US politician has piously worshipped, and which has made “might makes right” its highest religious dogma, that is the entity which the USA has called the “only democracy in the Middle-East” and its closest ally! I submit that instead of the (clearly counter-factual) “in God we trust” the USA should adopt a new motto: “quod licet iovi non licet bovi” which can loosely be translated as “its okay when we do it”.
I could go on parsing this boring text, but here is the conclusion:
The “Biden” administration is now changing its official narrative.
It used to be about ousting Putin crushing Russia, now its about pretending to be strong while preparing the public opinion for the inevitable defeat of not so much the Ukraine proper (that war was lost in the first week of the SMO!), but the defeat of the USA and NATO in this conflict.
Oh sure, depending on the audience, “Biden” will say this, or that, or its opposite or both. That is how Western politicians operate. But an opinion piece in the NYT is one of the main ways to send a signal to the ruling elites and the propaganda machine of the AngloZionist Empire. There is no more talk about defeating Russia, only that the Ukronazi regime in Kiev will have to figure out on its own how and when to sue for peace.
Andrei
Bravo, Андрей. Brilliant article, as usual. Your articles are required reading for anyone
seeking the truth.
Yep.
As we say here, an ugly baby is always an orphan.
Now the Ukraine is the new one.
Don’t take Dementia Joe Biden literally for he’s either reading a pre approved script or talking malarkey. The present world order isn’t giving up in Ukraine and Zelenskyy has made millions off of Ukraine. Ukraine is being bought up by large corporations, and you can bet Zelenskyy has multiple million dollar estates all over the world.
“Ukraine is being bought up by large corporations,”
Bought up from whom, exactly?
I wonder what will happen to those corporations’ investments when Russia controls all of Ukraine?

For those of us who have been scratching our heads as to why the US and EU are so bent on “helping” Ukraine, I found something out today:
Since the 2014 Coup which overthrew Democratically elected President Viktor Yanukovich, and put a puppet regime, favorable to the west, in his place . . . .
three giant corporations — Cargill, DuPont and Monsanto — bought seventeen million hectares of Ukraine agricultural land. That’s sixty percent (60%) of the total agricultural land in Ukraine!
Thought you’d be interested in that.
The best laid schemes of mice and crooks has gone awry.
I knew that.
My question was “FROM WHOM?”
“Bought from whom?”
Get my point now?
US taxpayer bailout for their personal financial loss
Zelensky’s time is quickly running out. If he’s got survival instincts he’ll figure out how to evade the Russians, the Nazis and other internal rivals and run off to Isreal, also without pissing off the Yanks who could expose his immense corruption. Him being a coke-head, however, doesn’t give me the confidence he’ll get out of Banderastan alive.
Anyway, the neocons are now frantically trying to stoke more fires from Taiwan to Kosovo. I’m just waiting for Iran to round up the list. It’s nothing but a panicky attempt to stay relevant.
It’s all but a distraction though. The biggest and most important (while well hidden) showdown is just about to happen between the Neocon faction and the Profit-Uber-Alles faction. All the ultra-rich families should be part of the PUA faction so I’d bet on them winning the Yankee version of the night of the long knives. Watch for hints of this battle…
I hope your right about the neocons finally getting thrown under the bus.
Sadly,it’s only with Ukraine that might be true. The neo-cons are still powerful spreading evil worldwide. We need look no further than Serbia and Taiwan to see what they are up to now.
Biden is a puppet, and the US is the Empire of Lies. Our life, our blood now depends on the decisions of this Apocalyptic Beast. Antonio Guterres (UN), said that Humanity is ‘a miscalculation of nuclear annihilation’. Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Liz Truss: three feminist women destroying the West, and thirsty to lead humanity to Armageddon. Western masculine men have become weak, and allow these feminists to act madly and irresponsibly. Biden is warning American elites, setting the tone, and Asia’s leadership is now the people who can save humanity. The West is completely lost!
He is totally screwed. Just look at how the Shah lived his life after exile. The Shah had plenty of money and assets but he had no country to hide it in. Once he lost his position of power and influence all of his assets were sitting ducks. He had no power to protect them and every country he entered or tried to do business in he faced a steep surcharge for entry… He was bled dry. LOL. This is Zelensky’s fate.
Yes, Taiwan, Kosovo, and also Iraq, Sri Lanka, Kongo, Pakistan….they try everywhere to stir up trouble, in the hope of threatening Russia’s allies, and also make the audience look in another direction, so they don’t notice the defeat in the Ukraine.
I feel Colombia might be next: they recently had some raprochement w/Venezuela, and need to be brought to heel. Vucic had recently made some pro-Serbian statements, and look at the trouble he’s facing.
Yes, the Op-Ed was jut to passify the U$ masses. No Russian would believe anything issued by the U$ govt. concerning backing-off of the ‘regime change’ strategy.
Their new narrative is: Russia army destroyed at 80 %, 75.000 KIA WIA and counting, devastating sanctions are collapsing Russia, they ‘lost’ as they failed to take Kiev in an humiliating defeat. They are blocked in very poor Donbass which they destroyed. They killed hundreds of thousand of people including their own..etc…now live 24/7 on all french tv networks and probably in all natostan?
A final memory of Ukraine to leave the gullible with before they never speak of it again.
20% maybe. 15.000 KIA very likely (CIA source). Russian economy is stronger than ever lol and Russian Plan have never been considered of take Kiev
World War 2.2,
That is all.
Yeah. There is an evident growing trend in the western MSM for articles about how the war is not going exactly according to plan, and the occasional hint that ‘Ukraine must be ready to make concessions’. This will steadily grow into a flood, and when the Ukraine collapses (as it must do, sooner or later as fuel, willing conscripts and munitions reach below the minimum for effective use) then there will be a blame game – Zelensky – take one step forward – and much wailing and gnashing of teeth. After that we can look forward to a German ‘rebellion’ on the part of the owners of the capitalist manufacturing clique, and a more general rejection of NATO / USA in at least Germany, France and Italy. What the rest will do is anyone’s guess. As one of Russias aims is the downfall of NATO, I imagine everything will be done to attain that goal. Personally, I look forward to a much smaller Ukraine, purged of Nazis, and a Europe (mostly) detached from the US Empire (which will in any case be much reduced in credibility and real power by then. If Pelosi goes to Taiwan, possibly much sooner!)
Neither Canada, nor Mexico (United Mexican States), use America in their official name. While the United States of America does and has for over 2 centuries.
We took our name when most other Western Hemisphere nations were still colonies or territories of European nations.
United States OF America; that means it is of, part of America, and is not America.
The USA steals everything, even nouns.
Bravo.
Alberigo Vespucci changed his first name to match the name of the land he “discovered.” There are numerous theories as to an earlier origin of the name, America (https://www.jonathancohenweb.com/america.html). To the extent that John Cabot named the coastland he explored, America, after his patron, Richard Amerike, it would be legitimate for the residents of the same coastland to refer to their country by the same name, without regard for Vespucci’s extension of the name elsewhere. Historians prefer the Vespucci theory because it has the oldest documentation. Absence of proof is not proof of absence.
The Greeks are so possessive of the name, Macedonia, that they made the country, Macedonia, change its name. Americans are not so possessive. Americans do not care who else calls themselves Americans. Americans simply call themselves, Americans, and the country, America. If some town in what used to be the Ukraine wants to call itself, New York, what is wrong with that?
the story of the Founding Fathers is very dark. They were not as mythologized.. they were deeply occultist freemasons who chose language and symbolism and architecture precisely. The several popular cover stories are merely such. Apparently “America” was chosen in order to follow in the steps of the Peruvians’ Amaruca. The ‘Land of the Plumed Serpents.’ It is rather clear whom they worship, no? You can read between the lines with Edgar Allen Poe and other perceptive poets of the 19th century the reality behind the sanctimoniousness and facades of the Puritans on their “Shining City on the Hill”.. “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do.” Most elites around the world worship the Serpent of the Garden, whether they acknowledge it to themselves or not..
If interested, here’s a detailed video.
Actually the beauty of the person erica was created in Iran, but had to evolve to France to take care of some business.
And then when a second business was needed to be taken care of, (I know, its awful and terrible), a new land and name was needed so Am was added to erica to form America, and a statue was eventually sent as thanks for taking her burden of evolution off their land, and as some would say, dumping it on yours.
And its been quite a dump ever since.
My understanding is that Freemasons were initially benevolent, however did via Paris come under the influence of the Jesuits in the 1800’s, and since then are but a shadow of what they once purported to be. Occult simply means hidden, it can be dark or light depending on who is exercising those elements, the Catholics themselves used to play with it from texts they’d looted, however seeking power is always black.
Imagine the Founding Fathers would probably have been a mixed lot, seems though they did try to throw off the yoke of old European money, unfortunately though the US too eventually succumbed. If the woke hordes choose to attack them then in all likelihood they were well intentioned, if not men of their era.

Great video thanks and in return see the website vigilantcitizen.com and one will see and learn just how satanic everything is getting now.
At one time in America under the leadership of Charles Finney you can find the existence of a anti-freemasonry movement that worked tirelessly to end this in America but a generation or two later it has come screaming back with a vengeance.
In the video to it mentions a protestant minister from Germany etc etc and if that doesn’t remind of Mr. hour of power Schuller who after arriving in LA to start his cough ministry he looked up guess who to get him started financially these people and his best friend norman vincent peale who was a 33rd. and its all about what the power of positive thinking lol? Gonzalo Lira may just be a prophet. His podcast from a few days ago was prescient of this action by the “occupiers” in the US white house. Ze is about to be canceled, and the sneaky “bastids” are indeed going to blame Russia for the hit. If Putin is as smart as I think he is, he might offer Ze protection before he gets one in the back.
Ze might indeed want Putin’s protection, but why could the Kremlin possibly want to offer it to this slimy lying warmonger who promised peace to get elected and after the vote, worked closely with the Nazis to increase the bloodshed ? We are in a new world where favors from Russia will not come so cheaply, and I can’t think of any price that Elensky could pay that would change the Kremiln’s mind. Not to mention what the victims in the DNR and LNR would think of working with the gay Jewish comedian whose jokes are no longer funny.
American foreign policy under this cabal is a “We win, you lose” proposition and it is holding true to form with Ukraine. The Kremlin could hold Ze up as an example of the treacherous practices of the State department and it’s Gepptto’s.
“why could the Kremlin possibly want to offer it to this slimy lying warmonger who promised peace to get elected and after the vote, worked closely with the Nazis to increase the bloodshed ”
To retain control of the narrative, seems to me.
To prevent Ze from becoming a character in the further assassination of Russia/Putin’s character.
Because Russia, unlike, oh, everybody else, wants him alive when this is all over.
The Taiwan visit of America’s (!!!!) resident moron, Nanci Pelosi, is nothing more than a chance to create a “false flag” incident by China to enable Brandon to LOOK tough and change the narrative, since everyone is bored silly with the Burisma war and watching ZelenskY drag shows.
This is good news. Perhaps the best yet…
Even with the NYT piece laden with jargon and steeped in hypocrisy, backpaddling on major points is a good start. Clearly, they’re dumping “Z.”
Was it the “fixed eyes” on the Vinnytsia Officer’s Club? While waiting patiently for Z to drop fake spin in the media like nazi turds, then RF quietly releases the real footage on video?
Yelenovka maybe?
Never mind the RF and her Allies.
Nato’s got Z dead-to-rights.
From the perspective of Boyd’s evolutionary epistemology, the West and neoliberalism are a civilizational dead end for humanity. The flawed mental models and corrupt value structures result in inappropriate orientation to observations of reality and inappropriate decisions about goal setting. Every thing boils down into some sort of scam. The end result for the West is moral flaws lead to failure after failure, and the ideology of neoliberalism will go down in history as the ideology of jackass losers.
Which is what the idiots who think they’re the elites of the West really are: Big fat stinking jackass losers who couldn’t adapt they’re way out of a wet paper bag.
Imagine a country that spends trillions of dollars on weaponry that is used to kill and dominate people of color lecturing the world about racism and tolerance for differing beliefs and lifestyles.
I usually agree with Andrei on most things, but this complaining about referring to USA as America seems just… silly. 99.99% of the time it is obvious from the context whether it’s a reference to the continent or the country. There really is no need to specify which one you mean. Is it a bit obnoxious? Sure, but it’s the same as referring to American sports (see what I did there ;) ) as “World Championship”. Yes, it is dumb when only the teams from United States are participating. But it is more of an old tradition at this point. That’s just what everyone calls it, and we’ve all gotten used to it a long time ago. Most people these days that use America interchangeably with USA don’t even mean anything by it. Even people that hate USA often refer to it as America (as in “Death to America!”)
Sorry, you have missed Saker’s point entirely. Words are the instruments of thought: use words dishonestly and you end up with dishonest thoughts. When America calls its internal sports “World sports” it reflects total dishonesty and a disdain for the mass of humanity. The US shows arrogance and imperial hubris at a level never before exhibited by any people in history. No wonder the media and many people in US can crack jokes about nuking countries and bombing countries back to the stone age: in their twisted minds USA is the world and the world is USA, nothing outside matters a whit. If there is one country that will cheerfully genocide the rest of the world it is the US. And it will do so in the name of God, or democracy, or freedom, or whatever the fashionable flavor of the day is. I truly, truly fear the US!
World’s Daily Newspaper
That’s the name of the media company that sponsored the Divisional baseball series in New York, years later they stopped sponsoring it but the name stuck and of course, being exceptional, they dropped the ‘s and the rest is World Series history.

Long ago, I made a habit of inverting every piece of propaganda that comes from “western” sources (because the West has ceased to be the west, and is now controlled by people who espouse inverted satanic anti-values, one of which, being to lie shamelessly and constantly invert the truth)
Those excerpts from “Biden”‘s article make perfect sense, if one inverts them back:
<>
The significant part we can gleam from this is that the “Bided” collective has NO desire to de-escalate (as can be seen in Serbia and China), but also no desire to defend its vassals.
Hi Andrei,
My view from Lower Manhattan in NYC—the $$$$ capitol of the sinking ship Atlantis—is identical to yours, regarding the backpedaling and measured news doled out as the reality of the defeat in Ukraine is becoming clear to all of us.
It was a defeat only for the poor and working classes of Europe and all of the West.
The Owners made out just fine.
Confronted by a reporter who told VP Dick Cheney that the US had lost the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Cheney bristled and said, “We did very well.”
Cheney meant his backers at Halliburton, etc.
USA is consistent. If nothing else.
Word meaning and usage is extremely important worldwide, and especially in the Western world. Which is why they talk about any country’s government they don’t like as a “regime” (and why I write “regime” when talking about them). I believe we should start saying “NATO pact” from now on for the same reason. Imprint the word pact in peoples thinking when they hear NATO.Stop letting the West control word usage,we should determine our own word usage.
“The “Biden” administration is now changing its official narrative.”
Yes I very much agree. And they do it in the usual sneaky, sniveling cowardly way. But they cannot wash hands off it – they own it 100%. However, this “changing shoes while in mid jump” is a mixed bag. It means Pompeo’s plan to freeze the Ukraine so they can focus fully on the Asia-Pacific is operative. As Rokossovsky reminded us, this was the same ploy the Wehrmacht undertook in freezing the British campaign in order to launch Operation Barbarossa.. NOW, we will get to see the maturity and real strategic coordination level between “the double-helix” tandem, when/if the crazies do launch Taiwanese shenanigans. After that point, and China unleashed under sanctions and with nothing to lose like Russia, will really get the ball rolling on the stalled alternate economy and financial system.
“if saying “‘Murica” evokes imagines of Captain America”
Saker, it is most ironic you used Captain America in an article about Biden! Most US pols are carefully scripted actors, and Biden more so than even Reagan. In fact, the Dems deliberately had Hollywierd associate Biden with Captain America – the most mythic and globally watched comic superhero of the bunch. Guaranteed to earn the votes of youth subliminally triggered in positive ways too. The way he jogs, his shades, his bomber jacket, the very facial resemblance and mannerisms. They ARE demented even more than the ostensibly senile Brandon..
“How stupid does “Biden” think that we all are?”
This is actually an interesting and loaded question. It depends on the dose of damage. I suspect many youth and those bathed in wireless radiation in the cities of Zone A may actually have short-term memory damage. And as their propaganda is directed at Zone A population, it may actually be an issue. Now for Zone B, the question remains the nature of the character of the Russia-China tandem, especially the decisive elites and bureaucracies, in not “letting bygones be bygones..” This is unacceptable at this point – like conceding the SMO and rolling borders back to February 23..

Freezing a sizzling politico-military environment as Battlefield Ukraine, with so many forces involved, is not an easy task anymore. The China factor might be one of the many behind the change of “official narrative,” the sudden realization the US/NATO cannot fight wars in two fronts sobered up their Russophobic drunkenness.
China’s threats to shoot down la Pelosi was short of a declaration of war, and their showing off their readiness to do it was a loud and clear statement. China is ready for war with the Collective West, a challenge as serious as a heart attack, in the wake of Russia’s SMO.
“Freezing Ukraine” is beyond their power, not their option anymore, Russia has the strategic initiative, and there is no hope Ukraine will regain it any time soon.
Cheers,
Lone Wolf
““Freezing Ukraine” is beyond their power”
That is not the point, and I think they know it too. They fully inhabit the Meta at this point. Remember Karl Rove’s dictum on reality. And they will remain too arrogant to admit defeat.
It is all about narrative creation and gaslighting captive populations being railroaded to serfdom. Everything is virtue signalling with hidden layers. So they pretend to their dummy audience that they are discarding the Ukraine, so as to (1) have the excuse to move the MSM spotlight off the coming Ukrainian denouement (if it’s not in the news, did it happen?). (2) the excuse why they are not pumping it with more useless weaponry. (3) to give more prominent MSM position to the next Bogeyman (China), so the sheeple can thus Hate this Other with undivided attention. (4) to give the few in Zone B who respect the West anymore a new narrative focusing on “the coming beatdown of the Yellow Peril” (lol) since the embarrassment in the Ukraine is too great a catastrophe to whitewash. We can expect future glorious victories of the AZE to be increasingly virtual within digital screens..
So it is all perception management as they circle the drain ever faster. And all the words used are deceptive and multilayered and do not really mean what they appear to say. Too convoluted for the sane to understand. The agony of the demented!!

@AHH: “[ditching Ukraine] same ploy the Wehrmacht undertook in freezing the British campaign in order to launch Operation Barbarossa.”
That ploy didn’t turn out well for Hitler, because the Wehrmacht then had to fight a much bigger enemy than Britain namely, Russia. I guess it won’t turn out well for Uncle because NATZO will now have to fight a much bigger enemy than Russia namely, China allied with Russia and Iran.
Truth is, only the Russians know what exactly will happen to Ukraine after the SMO. We’ve all been speculating about things like Russia taking most of it and giving western Ukraine to Poland even though the Russians don’t really need it and also other parts to Bulgaria, Romania etc…
But just a curious question. After all their sacrifices, why would Russia gift Western Ukraine to Poland yet we all know that apart from the Baltic states, Poland is arguably the most Russophobic country in the world ?
“why would Russia gift Western Ukraine to Poland”
Because it would form a handy quagmire for the EU to get stuck in.

MARYINKA IS OURS! Urgent news from Ukraine – map of hostilities. HARD Videos: Destroying the DRG APU (15 videos)
Marinka is ours according to the latest “allowed” data for the evening. In Krasnogorovka, just to the north, there is fighting. The sands near the DAP are being stormed by the forces of “Somalia”, but in fact there is an artillery duel there and there is no information about the battles at short distances, 6 prisoners were taken – see the video in the material. They willingly give up when ours jump into their trenches. There is a battle for the Butovka mine, abandoned by ours in 2015.
At a meeting in the Office of the President, which was held on July 28, Zaluzhny asked Zelensky to suspend the preparation of a counteroffensive until the Armed Forces of Ukraine fully form strike groups for the battle for Kherson. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine believes that failure demoralizes the Ukrainian military, and losses can be fatal for the army.
Reports of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. As a result of a high-precision strike in the city of KHARKOV, on the territory of the Ukrainian Energy Machines plant, two American launchers of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems were destroyed. 53 Ukrainian nationalists and foreign mercenaries were also killed.
“Meanwhile, behind the scenes, intensive work is underway to prepare for the second stage of the operation. Whether the enemy provokes an avalanche with his counteroffensive, or we ourselves become the initiators is not so important. It is important that the success of this stage will determine many positions not only in the war, but also in politics. It will not be easy, we will have to strain all the available forces , but we need to consolidate and multiply the achieved result. ” (Alexander Khodakovsky)
The situation in the Donetsk-Zaporozhye direction.
In the Donetsk sector: The Ukrainian command is trying to restrain the advance of allied forces in the Avdiivka direction. During the positional battles, the units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the DPR NM advanced to the southern outskirts of Avdiivka and reached the south-eastern districts of the village of Pisky. Ukrainian artillery crews to slow down the advance of the allied troops are conducting barrage fire on the areas south of Avdiivka, Panteleymonovka, Novoselivka Vtoraya, Yegorivka, as well as the outskirts of Donetsk, Horlivka and Yasynuvata with the use of anti-personnel mines PFM-1 “Petal”.
With return fire, artillery crews of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the DPR NM struck at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novoselidovka, Pisky, Veselo, Novoselovka, Novokalinovo, Novomikhailovka, Pavlovka, Shevchenko, Novopol, Malinovka, Ugledar. As a result of several strikes on the positions of the 66th Ombr of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the contact line, losses amounted to more than 50 people killed and wounded.
On the Zaporozhye section: The situation in the Zaporozhye region remained without much change. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are searching for the weakest points in the defense of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Units of the 44th separate artillery brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine use the RQ-20 Puma UAV to open the positions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and target artillery on the line of Zherebyanka – Orekhov and Voskresenka – Gulyaipole.
A sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was sent to the vicinity of Lugovsky. It was discovered by Russian servicemen. During the fighting, the DRG suffered losses and retreated to its original lines. Calculations of barrel artillery and MLRS of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck the areas of concentration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Charivny, Gulyaipole, Shcherbaki, Maly Shcherbaki, Novoandreyevka, Orekhov, Kamensky.

I love starting the day with a good laugh! This has got to be one of the most hamfisted narrative shifts I’ve seen in a while.
I wish somebody could explain to me the reason why the absolutely defense only NATO bombed Libya, Serbia, and sent a mission to Afghanistan. Must have been NATO article 5 right?
Now “America” isn’t telling Ukraine to trade land for peace but Uncle Joe isn’t discouraging it either. I feel sorry for the people of Ukraine. They got played. What was the whole point of the Maidan protest movement? Ukraine is broken and the EU that these people wanted to join is in desperate straits. Seems sort of idiotic in hindsight, doesn’t it?
The Ukrainians go faacked over by its own super rich politicians
These statements can be understood as an attempt to minimize, for the public opinion, the impact of the reality coming out: it is no longer possible to deny the Ukie defeat or the total failure of the sanctions that, instead, backfired. They lie as long as they can, then, as nothing happened, they change tones, this is one of the most hideous aspects of the collective West today.
However, we are not out of the danger of a harder confrontation, also a nuclear one. Current US elites will always try to defeat, split, humiliate Russia. Honestly, before February, I thought that you were a bit exaggerating about the innate Russophobia of the West, but the show displayed these months, even towards athletes or musicians, fully convinced me. US Neocons and a sovereign Russia cannot exist simultaneously on Earth, let us pray for the best.

Bravo Andrei!
Savoir lire le NYT…voilà comment comprendre “les ordres” qui sont données. Mais le problëme global n’est pas réglé. Je suis certain que nos leaders le comprennent et agiront en conséquence.

Knowing how to read the NYT… This is how to understand “the orders” that are given. But the overall problem is not resolved. I am sure that our leaders understand it and will act accordingly.
Andrei, thanks for the excellent article! It appears that the neocons (“Biden”) have taken stock of the real political/military/economic situation and are regrouping…
The one caveat I would mention is the definition of ‘failure’ :
Andrei: “And even then its end score is pretty bad: they screwed up Libya, failed in Afghanistan and Iraq, failed in Syria and even failed (in military terms) against a single Serbian Army corps in Kosovo.”
What I have noticed is that NATO/US/UK is more interested in “busting up” countries than reforming them to some ideal. Think of the term “frozen conflict” and what it means on the ground. Those countries have been turned into squabbling hellholes, and I believe it is by design. So, I believe these are “dark successes” for them, rather than failures.
(I could also note that many of these busted-up countries are/were foes to a certain tiny Middle East country. One could almost think that this was a continuing “controlled demolition” of any country hostile to that certain tiny Middle East country. But that would be conspiracy thinking…)
Is it possible that this is what the US wanted, a “dark success?” Seems to me they have managed to break up the EU trade relationship the EU had forged with Russia prior to this. Putin has said, the divorce with the US is final. Okay, will that extend to the EU because they were just vassals to the US agenda in this proxy war? When the economic collapse of industry occurs in the EU, is it the intention of the US investors to step into the rescue, capturing even more of the world’s production for themselves. After all, they had big investments in Ukraine in both the seed and chemical industry; even so far as developing vertical integration from seed to milling.
Has Biden accomplished the goal of ridding the US and EU of obsolete military equipment, in order to replenish the coffer of the MIC? New contracts abound.
Finally, while the eyes are on Taiwan, what’s happening between Israel and the Hezbolla? Is that the real agenda under all this? A religious war between Israel and the Arab countries.
I do find it laughable that Biden has to post his opinion in the NYT. Is it because a) no one pays attention to his press conferences b) he can’t compose this without assistance c) it’s the only way to offset the official White House narrative without losing face.
“A religious war between Israel and the Arab countries”
Not a religious war, a war over theft of lands, occupation, and now energy too (Zionist theft of Leb and Syrian energy fields).
The war between the brutish Brit army and the Irish (Northern Ireland) was wrongly called a religious war too by many. Just because opposing sides may have different religious bases doesn’t automatically mean the war is about religion.
“When the economic collapse of industry occurs in the EU, is it the intention of the US investors to step into the rescue…”
I think it’s a process that has already started. For example:
“JPMorgan Targets More of Germany’s Mittelstand Economic Engine”
May 20, 2022
https://money.usnews.com/investing/news/articles/2022-05-20/jpmorgan-targets-more-of-germanys-mittelstand-economic-engine
The conclusion states:
‘“JPMorgan is the right bank for the internationalization of a German company because JPMorgan itself has a good footprint in Germany,” WEPA said in written response to Reuters.’
Thanks for the reference. See they are going after the large companies with a good international footprint. Picking up the pieces already. Someone once told me, “politicians never do anything without a plan.” Well, Putin had a counterplan that outmanuevered the US. Heard his former foreign minister (2000 to 2012, I think) on an epoch times interview comment that Putin never does anything without thinking out all the angles of a situation. Sadly, war decimates the little guy.
When events are unfolding of this nature, I always think back to Naomi Klein’s “The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism” (2008). She did an excellent job of spelling-out the mindset & operating-manual of ‘people’ (i.e., not emotionally human) who are engineering these tectonic shifts for their own advantage. So much just ‘fits in’…
For those interested in quickly coming-up-to-speed on this book, I wrote an Amazon review long ago which consisted mostly of telling-paragraphs directly from her writing:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1M93P4YXMWZT6
While Ms Klein does not delve into ‘behind-the-scenes’ connections, these can easily be folded-into the “Shock Doctrine” analysis for remarkable clarity…
Biden sounding moderately more realistic sounds like a good thing.
OTOH, I’m now reading about petal mines being spewed across Donetsk. So Russian speaking civilians can anticipate losing limbs, while Russia proceeds on their methodical path. Effective, but SLOW.
That methodical path is taking its time, from my perspective, from immediately using all the economic levers available to it, e.g., total cessation of oil and gas to Western Europe, until a negotiated settlement is enacted, satisfactory to the RF. Yes, the Germans will be shivering this winter. But Russian speaking civilians in Donetsk will be losing limbs and lives in the interim.
The question is “Why?”. Sure, it’d be a shame to ruin a reputation many decades in the making, of being a reliable oil and gas supplier. And some of that oil income can go to fund the SMO. How nice for the Russian government budget!
That seems an insufficient reason, to me, to allow neo-Nazis to do what neo-Nazis do. The only rational reason that might be plausible is that the RF is afraid of doing so much damage to Western Europe, that they trigger a dynamic similar to the economic damage of Versailles, that was blamed for eventually giving Nazis a firm foothold in Germany.
I would be sympathetic to such reasoning, were that, in fact, what the Russian leadership is actually thinking.
A sort of middle ground is to announce that a definite plan is in play, to turn off the oil and gas spigots aggressively, but over a period of many weeks, since the Russians see no point in supporting countries that allow neo-Nazis to flourish, petal mines, and all. In fact, restoration of oil and gas flows could be made contigent on Western Europe de-Nazifying what remains of Ukraine, sparing the RF the trouble. The US won’t do that, but the rest of NATO powers just might.
I think the Russians may be so psychologically damaged from the more or less endless abuse, including propaganda, from the West, that they have no faith in a non-violent resolution of the Ukraine situation.
I don’t think Sun Tzu would be impressed with the RF hand-tied-behind-your-back strategy.

I don’t think Sun Tzu would be impressed with the RF hand-tied-behind-your-back strategy.
———————————————————–
Really?
And with what part of “The Art of War” do you relate that?
One cannot just throw a Sun Tzu comment without substantiating it, particularly one that portrays Russia as running a campaign with a “hand-tied-behind-your-back.”
Aren’t you confusing Sun Tzu’s principles with Clausewitz’s doctrine?
I believe Sun Tzu would be very pleased with the Russian SMO, subtle, delicate, and deadly.
Mind to elaborate?
Thanks.

2 Sun Tzu quotes:
“He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.”
“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.”
Putin has said that he intends to de-Nazify Ukraine. The neo-Nazi infested Ukrainian armed forces have been benefiting from training and weapons from Nato countries. The fanaticism of the Nazis unfortunately matches up well with the the western war mongers.
So, even if the RF takes all of Ukraine (“subdue the enemy”), they will have to pay the price in Russian blood; and what is to prevent continual NATO infusion of arms into Ukraine even after falling to the RF? Ukraine may not be as suitable to guerilla warfare as Afghanistan, but was still formidable in a flat country like Iraq.
Does the RF want to be bled by it’s own Iraq, even if it’s less hopeless than being bled by it’s own Afghanistan?
It would be far better to splinter NATO via non-violent, economic means (“without fighting”), and, on the upside, force NATO dissident countries to deal with the Nazis, themselves.
I see zero chance of the US putting an end to the Ukrainian Nazis that the US, itself, helped install (or took over from Kolomoisky; I don’t pretend to know the details). But the US is not looking at economic ruin from Russian cessation of oil and gas exports to Western Europe.
Germany, OTOH, is looking at exactly that. While I also have severe doubts that the Wehrmacht would intervene in Ukraine against the Nazis, they could at least be induced – I believe – to pull support for the Nazis, and possibly threaten to leave NATO.
It would be far smarter for the RF to see if they could enlist Germany’s aid in de-Nazifying Ukraine BEFORE grinding it out in Ukraine for the next half year. While the RF seems to clearly have escalation dominance in conventional warfare, this would not necessarily give them much advantage in suppressing a guerilla war.
A recent Duran episode noted the lack of support that Germany is finding in sharing pooled gas reserves. There is already a splintering happening. See “EU begins to crack as Germany braces for an energy disaster” on their youtube channel.
The ‘transfer of ownership’ of Zelensky from Kolomoisky to the CIA is currently being discussed at Moon of Alabama @ https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/08/ukraine-mines-missiles-warcrimes-and-a-warning-to-zelenski/comments/page/2/#comments.
Kolomoisky has been stripped of his Ukraine citizenship, apparently.
Welcome back, keep good health, and enjoy your musical recommendations..
Interesting and informative article.
However, I do disagree with:
** Even its infamous operation Gladio was a total failure…**
Well – depending on the definition of a ‘hush-hush’ network that is recently extensively acknowledged BUT with numerous undisclosed covert operations originating from the original 1950s ‘Gladio’ concept.
Covert military operations against defenceless Western civilians, women and children included.
This will always be a core CIA-MI6 etc.,run affair with the insidious backing from City of London and Neo-Nazi/far right extremists all over Europe.
Would not surprise me if Herr Klaus von Schwab of WEF *dans la Suisse neutre!!!* with all his DAVOS poodles is nodding approval.
Why should it stop !!! and it is still openly or covertly/*sleeper* in all western EU countries.
Furthermore, we are now approaching the post-Ukraine debacle with all those unemployed, frustrated Ukie nutters and excess MANPADS, sniper rifles etc., floating around the EU – the *Gladio* party could become a *rave*..
As many have stated here over the past 6 months V. Putin and Russia should continue with their *de-nazification* into Western-whatever Europe…
1980s the Italian PM and politicos were quite open about Gladio operations.ie., Bologna station massacre.
a) I lived in Belgium during the *Brabant shootings/massacres on Delhaize supermarkets 1980s*, the subsequent *show trials* were pathetic as Ministry of Interior/Gendarmerie etc., were not centre stage.
Similar to the Belgian military pilot responsible for the aerial attack of UN Chief ,Swedish Hammerskjold over Ndola, Zambia 1961-62 – he openly admitted it, even the corrupt King gave a wink!! No conviction.
Please Belgium – is the centre and cesspool of NATO covert operations and corruption.
Tant pis-too bad!! pour les pommes frites et moules a l¨Ostende !!(famous dish on Belgian coast..)
b) Norway massacres by *lone nutyer!!* Breivik, July 2011 – those 64 dead young Norweigan Labour members on the island were going to propose active sanctions against the Tel-Aviv regime. That PM von !! Stoltenberg as has been demonstrated before and during SMO in Ukraine is hard core NATO-Nazi..
c) New Zealand – the Australian nut case responsible!! for the massacre of 50 plus Muslims at the Christchurch mosque 2019 had previously spent *happy days* in Ukraine. Under Jacinda Arden regime (full WEF groupie with Hilary Clinton as a close advisor) now NZ is to join NATO!!!
d) in Hamlet’s rotten tiny Denmark (with the massive, strategic and resource rich Greenland), the ex-NATO boss & PM, Fogh Rasmussen, advisor to Poroshenko, Citibank poodle, George Bushy’s ‘best pal’…
*Gladio* is referred to as *Absalon* after the Catholic prelate and statesman from 1200’s. Typical Anglo-Zionist humour..
Tragically, the ‘Gladio’ psychopath chameleon is here in Western-NATO Europe for several more years..
IMO, that analysis is accurate but there is more to it. To wit:
“Ukraine failed us in our proxy war against Russia, so, we are going to arm and train other proxies, for example, Sweden and Finland and also others in what we call ‘The Rimland’ [a reference to Mackinder, whose analysis is accurate but enlarged and therefore evolved, involved, and devolved by events since his career].”
Michel Gurfinkiel in WSJ recently elaborated on this operational shift in Washington D.C., missing and glossing the reality of it — failed expectation of using Ukraine as successful proxy against Russia — but having the same propaganda purpose expressed, complete with trite, hypocritical rhetorical flourishes to please the gallery, by “Biden” in the NYT. Shades of when Soviet Politburo would announce a policy shift and every CP in the world switched propaganda instantly to match the new policy.
I doubt “The Rimland” will gush eagerness for their new role as US proxies extinguished against them evil Rooskies.

FWIW, IMO “Biden” is Jake Sullivan.
Recent events in Kosovo are US extortion to get a deal from Russia in Ukraine.

Late on Saturday, Germany announced its first weapons supplies to Ukraine, saying that it will deliver 1,000 antitank weapons and 500 Stinger missiles to the Ukrainian armed forces. Earlier in the day, Germany permitted the Netherlands and Estonia to send old German-made missiles to Ukraine. Prior to that, Berlin strongly rejected the possibility of such deliveries and refused to authorize supplies of German-made weapons by third countries.

Biden is set to announce a new security assistance package worth $400 million for Ukraine on Friday.
The latest aid package, which is the 15th such installment, brings the U.S. commitment to more than $7 billion since Russia’s late February invasion of Ukraine.
The official said the latest security package will include four additional HIMARS, which brings the total number of HIMARS transfers to Ukraine from U.S. arsenals to 12.
UK plans to send some “adapted” minesweepers I read today
also July
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-to-send-scores-of-artillery-guns-and-hundreds-of-drones-to-ukraine
The UK will supply scores of artillery guns, hundreds of drones and hundreds more anti-tank weapons to Ukraine in the coming weeks, the Defence Secretary has revealed.
The delivery of the new equipment will significantly step up the UK’s support as the country fights to repel Russia’s brutal and unjustified invasion.
More than 20 M109 155mm self-propelled guns and 36 L119 105mm artillery guns will soon arrive from the UK, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace announced in an update to Parliament today. Counter-battery radar systems and more than 50,000 rounds of ammunition for Ukraine’s existing Soviet era artillery will also follow, he added.
This equipment will bolster the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against Russia’s indiscriminate use of artillery.
The UK will also send more than 1,600 more anti-tank weapons in the coming weeks, along with drones, including hundreds of loitering aerial munitions.
So far 6,900 NLAW, Javelin, Brimstone and other anti-tank weapons, as well as 16,000 artillery rounds, six Stormer vehicles fitted with Starstreak anti-air missile launchers and hundreds of missiles have been sent to Ukraine.
The UK has also supplied maritime Brimstone missiles, multiple launch rocket systems, 120 armoured fighting vehicles and large quantities of non-lethal aid including more than 82,000 helmets, 8,450 sets of body armour and over 5,000 night vision devices.
Obviously, the USA, has lost its initial pschological warfare propaganda initiative. Biden is being told by his advisers that people around the world don’t give a damn about US plans and strategies anymore. In fact, the American dream is no longer attractive even to those with lower IQ.. Look forward for the Allies’ (Russia, DPR, LPR) victory and liberation of all of Novorussia. Amen.
Team Biden seems to be operating on the theory that “perception is reality”. They just lie all the time and think that if all their liberal fanclub repeats it , they can ignore reality . From trying to downplay inflation, denying that the economy had 2 quarters of contraction and is in a recession. It seems to me they talk about what they want to hear and have a hard time dealing with reality. All this nonsense of Ukrainian “victories” for the last 5 months when Russia keeps advancing and destroying stuff and has the videos to prove it.
Also team biden launched the most illegal and oppressive sanctions against Russia and keeps trying to blame Russia and Putin.
via pravdareporteng
Washington’s main problem today is the uncontrolled fall of the economy. According to the expert, in the coming years, both the United States and many Western countries of will stagnate, and the economy will fall by nine percent every year. And stop this fall is not possible.
“They can’t fix the situation — it’s impossible to negotiate with anyone if the platform on which you negotiate collapses in three months,” explained Khazin.

[🇺🇸🇺🇦]Joe Biden signed a memorandum on awarding a new $550 million military aid package to Ukraine.
⚡New deliveries to Kyiv will include 75,000 shells for M777 155mm howitzers, as well as missiles for HIMARS systems.
An hour ago I checked interesting data of European energy consumption figures. Here’s the main point. Until 2006 EU’s energy consumption increased steadily. However since financial crisis EU never really recovered to (real) economic growth. Compared to 2006 EU consumed 12% less energy in 2021. At the same time India increased its energy consumption over 100% and China over 80%. Some Asian countries (like Vietnam and Laos) had even bigger growth needing more and more energy.
It’s pretty clear now why Russia is turning its back to old and tired stupid Europe. The great change is here now and there is no return. Europe is doomed to be marginalized by its own dang stupid servant attitude.
The American equivalent saying of “changing shoes while in mid jump” is “changing horses in mid-stream”.
Collective Biden or not, is it not legally and Constitutionally supposed to be in the public domain? If we want to be partisan sticklers, perhaps it is not a “high crime,” but at least a misdemeanor?
The United States is upping the ante in its supply of more HIMAR systems to Ukraine with shells that will allow its military to hit targets within Russia.
The Ukrainian authorities have clearly abandoned all intentions to negotiate terms with Russia and are attempting to create an army of one million with which to attack Russian forces in the Donbass and sweep eventually into Crimea.
In the face of mounting escalation by both the Ukrainians and their western allies it appears the time has come for a decision regarding the further conduct of operations in Ukraine and whether the full force of the Russian state against Ukraine is now warranted.
In a recent address Vladimir Putin warned Ukraine and its western allies that Russia had only used a small part of its military assets so far. He remarked also that the West appeared to want to defeat Russia on the battlefield and challenged them to try.
It appears to me that Russia is readying itself for all-out war in Ukraine having abandoned all hope that Ukraine will return its representatives to the negotiating table. The negotiations which took place in the early months of the operation appeared eventually to be bearing fruit. The statement made by the Ukrainian side in Istanbul had very hopeful elements within it that were worthy of pursuit. However, intervention by the USA and UK (in particular by Boris Johnson) caused the negotiations to be frozen and from that time to this no further discussion has taken place.
With the rhetoric on the Ukrainian side being constantly ramped up, with more significant weapons being used, weapons that can hit targets well within Russia and with the apparent complete abandonment of negotiations seeking a settlement the atmosphere is conducive to only one thing… all-out war.
The constant shelling of the civilian population of Donetsk City with the death of at least four children and numerous adults over the last week will have also stiffened the resolution to act in more robust fashion against a foe that appears to offer no hope of any possible avenue leading to a negotiated settlement as was hoped. Russia may well have lost all patience along with hope now and will I suspect now consider the ultimate option in regard to Ukraine.
If Russia declares war on Ukraine it will have planned its war strategy very carefully. New ranges of targets not on the target roster before this time will undoubtedly be hit. Nowhere will be safe for the present Ukrainian political or military elites. Infrastructure vital to the performance of the Ukrainian economy and energy production will undoubtedly be hit. It is not impossible to conceive that Nord Stream 1 running through Ukraine will be shut off. This will of course also directly affect Europe, a Europe Russia will also be tacitly declaring war upon through war on Ukraine.
The wider target for Russia will of course include the USA though not of course directly. Targeting U.S. assets within the NATO infrastructure throughout Europe and especially the publicised new deliveries of weaponry would come at a later stage if Ukraine takes its current plans to fruition and the West ramps up to even greater levels its delivery of systems with which to target Russia.
We are on a slippery slope of escalation and response and everyone knows the potential end point.
Russia’s special military operation was initially meant to be fundamentally light touch with the hope that the Kiev authorities would see sense and finally deliver those things it agreed to in the Minsk Accords of 2015. Even before the operation began Putin reportedly gave Zelensky the chance to do this. These initial desires to give peace one last chance came to naught. In addition Zelensky, backed by his western sponsors, appears to have used the negotiations for the same purpose as those previous to him had used the Minsk Accords, simply to buy time.
Russia has been lied to many times in regard to western promises and has accepted too many seemingly friendly gestures at face value which over time become clear and very cynical betrayals.
Gorbachev was given assurances by almost a round dozen of top flight political figures of the West that NATO would not move further to the east if he made no trouble over German reunification.
The Minsk Accords appeared to provide hope for a route to peace and reconciliation regarding the aspiration of the Russian-speaking populations of eastern Ukraine but were used by Kiev instead as a stalling tactic to buy time and build a fighting force to take back the Russian-speaking regions of Donetsk and Lugansk by force.
Now it has become abundantly clear that Ukraine has no intention whatsoever to engage in meaningful talks toward a peaceful settlement. The earlier talks engaged in by Ukraine appear now to be simply one more insincere stalling tactic designed to lull Russia into not taking full advantage of its position at the time while Ukraine readied its forces.
Russia could not be blamed for saying “Enough is enough. Enough lies. Enough betrayals. Enough Deception.”
And subsequently… declare war
It appears to me that Russia is readying itself for all-out war in Ukraine having abandoned all hope that Ukraine will return its representatives to the negotiating table.
That has been pretty obvious since the end of March; post-Istanbul talks. Russia’s rhetoric changed noticeably since then. Obviously also Russia plans for war — not just with the Ukraine but also Nato. But whether Russia implements those plans is an entirely different matter. Nonetheless Russia retains the initiative (it always had, since 24 Feb.)
The Ukraine is losing Western-supplied weapons — through battle attrition, blackmarket sales, user incompetence — faster than it is receiving them. The impact of Himars — and Harpoons (not seen yet because many already destroyed by RF, and also lack of opportunity) — is somewhat distorted by US claims about the efficacy of the system and, inadvertently, the prominent reports by the RF/LDNR given to it in the atrocious attacks on civilians and the prison housing AFU+Azov surrendered/captured personnel. Militarily, they actually make no difference to the outcome.
Russia’s response to continued use of these rocket/artillery weapons has been stated quite simply by Sergey Lavrov: Russia will push the weapons back in order to not allow them to strike the Donbas or Russia. If the striking range is 30km, RF will push them back 30 km; if 300 km, then the pushback will be 300 km, it’s the Ukraine’s choice.
In 2014 Washington started a two-front war with the the Sunflower Movement in Taiwan and the Maidan Coup in Ukraine. Both these fronts are coming to a head today, only since 2014 both Russia and China have hardened.
Everything credible I read indicates that Russia will have its way in Ukraine.
Taiwan is still in play. If this front goes kinetic (if that’s the right term), as Ukraine has, who knows how it will play out? I hope the U.S. blinks, because I don’t think the Chinese will. Sooner or later that first island chain will come under Beijing’s full control.
Or will all the recent manoeuvring over Taiwan come down to another set of sanctions? Russia lost her foreign reserves, and China’s might be the target. The Empire of Thieves likes the wealth of others, as does Britain with the recent move on Venezuela’s gold.
2nd point about the reality of NATO. I read, recently, a succinct description of it as the US Foreign Legion. Short and sweet.
NATO doctrine includes, as a cornerstone, the necessity/development of “inter-operability” (which is a euphemism for inter-changeability with US troops and units) and such principles.
And, it should be admitted, not all of this is bad; an ordinary soldier, with a poor education, may rise to the rank of Captain or even Major thanks, in part, to the advancement possible by virtue of the connection between the larger, US military and the smaller militaries in the satellite country. I know such people.
Brandon didn’t write any of that, only signed it, even though it’s clearly written by some person or persons of equal delusion.
Are there any American politicians who are not pathological liars? It’s a weekly or monthly mind shift event depending on Russia successes in Ukraine.
American & European elites have definitely lost the plot, searching in every direction for a new fight. Obviously their House of Cards is in the latter stages of collapse. I suggest bicycle clips as the sh*t’s about to hit the fan.
Time they were put out of their misery before we all are.
in God we trust” the USA should adopt a new motto: “quod licet iovi non licet bovi” which can loosely be translated as “its okay when we do it”.
That is an instant classic!! Ibwill have to make a meme.
I temper everything that comes out of the mouth of The Beast with Kissinger’s “creative ambiguity” in the very least, saying one thing and doing another, at worst outright lying.
The irony of Biden making public announcements is now the US economy is in such a parlous state:
– 2 quarters of economic contraction are a technical recession (always has been in spite of the WH’s attempt to re-define it!)
– interest rates spiking to 6%
– fuel prices spiking – $8 in Cali about a month ago now
– spike in food prices
– US inflation is now higher than Mexico’s – believe it or not!
Remember the Assad curse? Every single national leader who called “Assad must go!” ended up going themselves.
Biden will be no different. He’s a seat-warmer, keeping the seat warm for the V-P.
There’s no way the Dems can possibly keep Biden on after the November Midterm elections – 3 mths away.
I’m telling ya’ they’re on a hiding to nothing.
I agree with The Saker. Biden is reading the Establishment pre-approved script and it sure sounds like they are getting reading to throw in the towel, because they have to.
Corruption gravy train is over. Oligarchs lost all the choice assets not to mention all those billions in gas transit fees. Corporations and banks aren’t touching Ukraine in the middle of a war that Russia is winning. Even erstwhile sympathetic european countries like Norway are refusing to do any deals with Ukraine. Too corrupt, too desperate, war-torn, bankrupt, no prospects, etc. etc. no one in their right mind is investing in Ukraine.
So recently the Chinese foreign minister told Blinken to his face he was a liar. Then Russia’s foreign minister told Lavrov he was too busy to take his calls. Maybe the US Establishment is finally getting the message they need to bench the neocons if they’re goung to have any kind of foreign policy that doesn’t involve doubling down with no escalation options?
One point that you make that is not apparent unless you have seen NATO member regular military forces in training and operational environments is just how bad they are. There are units here and there that are of course exceptions, have good moral but are poorly trained, or decently trained but poorly equipped, but for the overwhelming balance of these forces they are not fit-to-fight. I spent a career in the military as a combat and combat support officer and in the military industrial complex and have significant exposure to NATO forces around the world. They were weak when I first was stationed in Europe in 1990. to be candid I was always a bit embarrassed for our allied partners, and always – you know, tried to be encouraging in a “no that was good Hans, really, I mean it.” kind of way. I’m a southerner where it is still a virtue to be polite. They are worse now. That there are a number of European citizens in their respective nation’s military service wearing uniforms in some variation of drab and that there is equipment in a similar color scheme that on occasion drives, floats, or flies around (mostly parked in reality) is about the whole sum of NATO. What they probably do best is draw pay. You see a tiger. What you can’t see is the staggeringly incompetent, complacent officer and NCO corps, the utter ineffectiveness of what passes for training and the collective weakness of that body of temperamentally, physically, and morally unfit service-people/persons/he-she-them(s). Also hidden under those tawny cellulose stripes is the lack of effective logistic support capable of maintaining and resupplying complex systems over sustained combat and the lack of discipline in the maintenance for these force’s complicated machines in the motor pools and on the airfields where they sit right now. NATO would struggle mightily to bring arms to bear in a real fight, will likely even struggle to even get to the fight unless they Uber, like the Taxies of Marne that saved Paris. I can hear that mournful call through the static of the dashboard radio like I am sitting right there, “Hey Sarge, my shit’s broke down!” or whatever the Western European language version of that sentiment sounds like. I don’t know for certain-certain but I am willing to bet that a good part of the “gently used” equipment that the Europe has sent to Ukraine had to go to depot level repair first (tell the truth Germany!). Another thing that parade field feline won’t mention is that it doesn’t have a spine, neither a heart. In addition to what I call out above, lacking as well are the cultural foundations and inspirations required for troops to stand, fight and perish if necessary. If they had that alone they could make a show of it, but that spirit has flown. As I sit here chewing on this plug of tobacco, ruminating on the Truth that this dog won’t hunt, I have to think that the performance of the RF forces in the Special Military Operation is generating a similar sober reflection amongst the more intelligent European military professionals and that the white-hot hatred of the Chinese military subculture (for the US in particular) is causing rational pause behind the vault-door SCIFs of the empire. But maybe not these days…
Well spoken, hero.
What you just did is make the case for a first strike nuclear attack by the West because it has no alternatives. Russia is beating the largest, best-equipped army in Europe without breaking a sweat.
Nice write-up Andrei.
It is most likely the US has already told Zelensky what to do: trade land for peace, and major Nato allies duly informed.
This NYT piece (probably penned by the guy in charge of the teleprompter, with Biden signing off) is, as many have already stated, preparation of the Western public for a defeat in the Ukraine. fUKUS/Nato can’t sustain the logistics of the conflict short of switching to a war economy and we all know where the West’s economy is heading to. Also — if reports are accurate — Euro Nato have practically depleted, or are close to depleting, their war reserves of weapons. The US is now also foolishly poking the Dragon and more weapons — from ready and reserve stocks — may be needed if PRC reacts aggressively, eg by staging a landing on one the numerous small islands just off the China coast — and then withdrawing, something like the Snake Island scenario in the Black Sea. Taiwan will be asking for, nay, demanding weapons from the US then, adding to the rate of depletion of weapons stocks.
Bidet will change tack again as soon as Raytheon and Lockheed tell him they haven’t made quite enough money.
@ Saker
The “Biden” administration is now changing its official narrative.
———————————————————————————————-
Several factors behind that “change.”
Like the fox having the realization the grapes were not so ripe after all, Biden’s blind commitment to fight to the last Ukrainian, is now affecting his and the Dems political future, in the near and long terms. Mid-term elections around the corner, and Biden’s “popularity,” or lack thereof, is on the floor, no hopes of climbing up.
In the meantime, people around the US are beginning to yell “why are you giving billions to Ukraine, while we are neglected?” In fact, they are not giving any money to Ukraine, as Gen. Douglas McGregor pointed out recently, the money does not leave the US, it goes directly from the treasury to the Pentagon who transfer it to the banks of the MIC.
https://russian.rt.com/inotv/2022-07-31/Polkovnik-Makgregor-dengi-na-voennuyu
DOUGLAS MCGREGOR: “…But I don’t think you can take your eyes off the money here. There are billions of dollars out there — where are they going? Most of them are not going to Ukraine. Most of the money is deposited at the Pentagon as compensation to the armed forces for the fact that equipment and resources were transferred to Europe. And after that, this money goes to the military-industrial complex, to contractors who provide new equipment to replace the transferred one. And these are the people who donate money and help politicians sitting on Capitol Hill. In other words, this whole vicious circle enriches those who are important to this hill in terms of the next election. This is all a scam.

Development of the military-political situation in Ukraine according to Western sources
So far, there are very few opportunities for a constructive dialogue about peace between Moscow, Kiev, Washington and Brussels
During the period of the special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the perception of what is happening on the part of the West began to gradually change: if at the initial stage there was no doubt about Kiev’s victory, Moscow was condemned and tried to punish it with sanctions as painfully as possible, now they are increasingly recognizing the inability of the Ukrainian army to both technically and strategically. Everyone understands that without strong military and technical support from NATO countries, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) would have stopped all resistance long ago…
Russia’s military has inexhaustible resources
————————————————————
…At the same time, the heads of defense departments of Western countries are forced to admit that their weapons reserves are not unlimited and they have nothing else to help Ukraine with. This, in particular, was stated by the head of the German Military Department Christina Lambrecht. And the inspector of the land forces of the Bundeswehr, Lieutenant General Alfons Mais, in an interview with the German newspaper Handelsblatt on July 24, said that ” Russia has almost inexhaustible resources. It uses what is durable and also available in huge quantities. Soldiers are trained to operate this technique. Thanks to its superior artillery, the Russian Army is advancing kilometer by kilometer. This is a battle of exhaustion, a battle of attrition. Question of time: how long will Ukraine be able to endure it?” At the same time, Western military analysts, who previously glorified the Armed Forces of Ukraine, note the carelessness of Ukrainian soldiers who throw NATO weapons on the battlefield during the retreat, “which Russian specialists then disassemble to the last cog and thoroughly study the principle of functioning…”
Collective West self-deluded by their own MSM
—————————————————————
…Revolutionary can be considered the statement of the influential British newspaper Times of July 25, which criticized the manner of Western media coverage of the situation in Ukraine. In particular, the publication notes that journalists deliberately hide the truth about the course of the SVO, the successes of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are hushed up, while the “exploits” of the Ukrainian troops are covered on a large scale. The author of the article believes that “readers are deliberately forced to believe that the Russians are absolutely helpless, their troops are poorly trained and do not observe discipline, their tactics are archaic, and their command posts are blown to smithereens by the valiant, democratic, peace-loving Ukrainian heavy artillery pieces. Minor victories of Ukrainians are artificially given a huge amount of information coverage, and major victories of Russians are covered much more modestly. In addition, all statements of Ukrainian politicians, whatever they may be, are taken at face value in the West…”
“Channels for interaction,” part of the new narrative…
——————————————————————–
…The New York Times newspaper of July 27 also says that the situation is hopeless for official Kiev. In an article for the publication, American experts Samuel Sharap and Jeremy Shipiro argue that ” along with the material assistance provided to Kiev, the United States and its allies need to open channels for interaction with Russia and find a compromise on the situation in Ukraine, the goal of which should be a cease-fire.” In fact, while recognizing that the main actors in the Russian-Ukrainian confrontation are the United States and its allies, experts nevertheless consider it important to start a dialogue between the parties to the conflict. They also understand that in the situation in which Ukraine finds itself, its negotiating positions are obviously losing…
In the meantime, meat grinder goes on…
—————————————————-
However, this does not mean that the West has completely changed its attitude to what is happening in Ukraine, to which, to be consistent, it is directly related. U.S. and British officials still see no point in peace talks between Kiev and Moscow and continue to encourage the Ukrainian leadership with promises of more military supplies to continue the resistance and launch an imminent counteroffensive. In this regard, according to the NATO military, it would be advisable for the Ukrainian troops to conduct a counter-offensive operation before the beginning of the autumn mudslide, that is, until mid-September at most.
…with no hope of “peremoga” in sight
————————————————–
According to Western military analysts, the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not yet have the necessary number of personnel (the issue of their combat training and coherence is relegated to the background), nor weapons and ammunition for it. Even employees of the British intelligence agency MI6, whose chief until recently was confident of the readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for offensive actions, have become more restrained in their statements and forecasts. The American Institute for the Study of War (IIV), which takes an exclusively pro-Ukrainian position, also lowered the bar for optimism about future victories in Kiev. His daily reports are less emotional and bravura.
The grapes are not ripe, really…
——————————————
…In the final part of the report, US military experts conclude that ” Russian forces currently seem to be able to withstand two major offensive operations in Ukraine, both in the Donetsk region (it is possible that we may be talking about Slavyansk and Kramatorsk). At the same time, the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces is likely to reach its climax before they capture additional important settlements.” (It is noteworthy that in contrast to virtually indisputable statements, as it was earlier, now the conclusions of the IIV are largely conjectural, without specifics and forecasts.)
It’s the economy, stupid!
——————————–
As part of the assessment of the development of the military-political situation in Ukraine, along with the military component, which is a priority on the agenda, the West began to more closely monitor the country’s economic and financial sector. According to relevant experts, the state of affairs in the Ukrainian economy is deteriorating at a growing pace. The share of non-operating enterprises is steadily growing, and those that are still “afloat” will not last long without external support. On July 26, the Ukrainian company Naftogaz announced a technical default due to the expiration of payments to Eurobond holders. According to Western economists, as reported on July 27 by the American edition of the Wall Street Journal, ” the default of the Ukrainian state-owned energy company Naftogaz will lead to a chain reaction in the economy and financial system of the state.” The publication clarifies that the failure of one of the largest taxpayers in Ukraine to fulfill its obligations will increase concerns about the state of state finances throughout the country, as well as complicate the activities of the organization, which plays a key role in the national economy.
Viktor Szabo, investment director of the British management company Abrdn, said that despite the support of Ukraine, this state is too quickly “burning out its resources, as its needs in the social and military spheres are growing rapidly. External subsidies simply do not have time to cover the budget deficit. If this continues, it could be disastrous for Kiev by the fall…”
How are we going to recover our investments, if Ukraine is losing the war?
————————————————————————————————–
…According to experts, with whom the Kiev authorities are forced to agree, Ukraine is financially very dependent on Western “sponsors”, since it has nothing else to count on and no one else. Ukraine’s seemingly horrific budget deficit, which ranges from $ 5 billion to $ 9 billion at the end of July, may reach $ 50 billion by the end of the year, and GDP is expected to fall by 30-50%, according to the most conservative estimates. Ukraine’s situation is also complicated by the fact that, as the West rightly believes, its Euro-Atlantic partners will be forced to concentrate on solving their internal financial problems, and this will undoubtedly affect the amount of assistance provided to Kiev. The Ukrainian government is unlikely to find funds from domestic loans. In the current situation, when all Western financial assistance is directed mainly to military needs, the patriotic mood of Ukrainian citizens in the absence of work, money and food may wane…
…Thus, according to the West, the development of the military-political situation in Ukraine has probably become more realistic (predictable) than before.
Conclusion: Situation Normal, All F’d Up.
——————————————————
…The main thing that follows from the expert opinion: with a high degree of probability, Kiev will not be able to win over Russia in the current conditions. Ukraine is completely dependent on Western supplies of weapons and ammunition, the country’s economy is in ruins and is not able to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with military equipment. It follows that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to conduct combat operations for exactly as long as the West, or rather the United States and Great Britain, will need it. The development of the situation in these countries against the background of existing economic problems will also have a significant impact on the degree and duration of support for Ukraine from its Euro-Atlantic partners. Most likely, the state of affairs not in favor of Kiev may begin to change in the fall. It is possible that fatigue from the prolonged uncertainty will begin to be experienced not only in the West, but also in Ukraine.
“Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.” How about some negotiations with the Russian orcs?
—————————————————————————————————————————–
According to sensible political analysts in Europe and the United States, the only correct solution to ending the conflict in Ukraine may be a peaceful dialogue between the warring parties, or better – in a more expanded format, with the participation of the West. The problem is that currently there are very few opportunities for constructive dialogue between Moscow, Washington and Brussels, given the statements made earlier by the West and the practical unfriendly steps taken. As for the beginning of a direct Russian-Ukrainian dialogue, things are even worse here. However, given the reason for Russia’s launch of a free trade zone in Ukraine, it is in the interests of both the West and Russia to start searching for a compromise solution as soon as possible in order to avoid more serious and unpredictable consequences.

As we can see, a change of “official narrative” is the way to cope with the defeat of Biden’s delusions of getting Putin out of power.
I can see the collective smirk in the troika, Putin, Shoigu, Lavrov, when reading this imbecile huffing and puffing about ousting Putin, all hat and no cattle, as we say in TX, bluffing on a power he never had, and never will.
C’est la vie, mes amis.
So many idiots, too little time.
Lone Wolf
“Dems political future” being a motive for Biden’s APPARENT change of narrative would only make sense if elections in the USA were real. They are not. They are totally fraudulent (primarily through tampering with computer software).
Usually, when a representative of the Global Cult that rules and owns the world says something, it’s safe to assume the opposite is true. Biden’s latest statements about Russia could mean something or they could mean nothing.
To me, the interesting question is “Did the USA ever really think that Russia would not win in Ukraine?’

To me, the interesting question is “Did the USA ever really think that Russia would not win in Ukraine?’
————————————————-
We can be sure the ghost of Afghanistan and the fall of the Soviet Union, allegedly triggered by their invasion of that country, still inhabits the hallways of power, in DC, London, and Brussels, a powerful factor in their calculations.
We can also be sure similar strategies have been devised to make Ukraine another quagmire for Russia.
They have been working at it for decades, invested billions before Maidan came to be. This is a neo-con project, through and through, and they are firm believers in what they do. They are militants of the permanent counter-revolution, a twisted inversion of Trotsky’s theory of the permanent revolution.
It took them years to get to own Ukraine, take it over, turn it into Nazistan, insert the nazis as a state within the state, train an army to ethnic cleanse the Donbass, and become NATO’s wedge pointing against Russia.
You better believe there was a large swath of the US/NATO elites who believe that, with “a little help from their friends,” Ukraine had a chance against Russia.
They were all cheering from the sidelines to the last Ukrainian.
Lone Wolf
Lone Wolf, I also think a large swath of US/NATO elites want Ukraine to be a “Failed State”. Not just because they think that a failed state on Russia’s border would be disadvantageous to Russia but also because they think that Ukraine being a failed state would be economically advantageous to to USA.
By the way, I really like your statement “They are militants of permanent counter-revolution, a twisted inversion of Trotsky’s theory of permanent revolution. ( I happen to be well versed in Trotsky’s theory of permanent revolution, as well as Trotskyism in general.)
Thanks for your efforts. I enjoy your site.

“strengthen overall U.S. and trans-Atlantic security”
Although they’ve already shown themselves to not be the sharpest knives in the drawer, how can Finland and Sweden, or any NATO “member”, read that and not see Grampy Poopypants is signing them up to be cannon fodder? Are they really that dense to think the US is going to sacrifice its own comfort for “trans-Atlantic security”?
The Empire That Never Ended And Really Sucked will happily and speedily concede every inch of European territory, or anyone else’s for that matter, to protect its own ass. It takes a remarkably bloody-minded refusal to accept reality to think otherwise.
ALL Natostan has is a large chromed plastic sword. I read here that Russia can build 3-4 top of the range submarines for the price of 1 Nurican ‘equivalent’ and 8 or more smaller class subs for an Murican one of similar size. The same is true for planes, choppers, tanks and other equipment. A 70yo AK47 that was buried in mud for 10 years can after a good rinse still outperform any Murican assault rifle.
It proves that Nato is simply a gun shop selling expensive junk, almost like their medical ‘professional’s are simply sales reps for BigHarma!
Good riddance of everything the Exceptionals stand for.

Really awkward. Maybe Brandon should just look at how US history saw “Ukraine”:
American atlas 1864.
There is no Ukraine as a state. There is only Novorossiya as “Southern Russia”. And modern central Ukraine is “Little Russia”
https://t.me/OpenUkraine/22978
Biden’s article is hilariously delusional, totally backwards, but the comments are even crazier. They believe he actually wrote this trash and it proves he’s an astute leader!? The whole US seems to have drunk the Kool-aid.
Not having read the NYT article, it still seems as if not too much should be read into it, or rather that it is a more subtle piece than a clear change of narrative. One purpose of this article seems to consist of pandering to growing scepticism in the West by conjuring up an image of reasonableness – denying a goal of regime change in Russia, asserting that it’s Ukraine that has to decide whether to make territorial concessions, welcoming the oh so beloved Scandinavians with their summer cottages and saunas into NATO, committing to “further strengthening NATO’s eastern flank”. Everything sounds very statesman-like but there is no change in substance, in particular nothing that would point to any pressure excerted on Kiev to come to a negotiated settlement. All the points made like denying a goal of regime change in Russia have been made before, actually. The broader situation is this. There is an economic crisis developing in the West, some political unrest is occurring, a further crisis with China is developing, the Midterms are approaching fast. “Biden” has to manage all this while still keeping all the options open in Ukraine. So it’s less of a change of narrative but perhaps laying the ground for a possible change of narrative, whatever that may be worth, while not making any changes on the ground for the moment. Still, the more educated classes have to be kept on board despite all these difficulties, hence the statesman-like article, in particular in the face of continuing, credibility-destroying media hysteria and chaos within the Ukrainian entity clearly growing on all fronts.
Final point, Sweden and Finland becoming official NATO members is potentially more significant than these countries just switching over their un-official NATO memberships. NATO could move “assets” there, and that would indeed change the threat picture for Russia.
I don’t think Biden has changed his viewpoint at all.
This new York Times article was written in May. His statement that Putin needed to go was made in March and was very quickly retracted. In this New York Times article he repeats what he said in March – US goals did not include regime change.
So what are US goals? This is where the article it gets interesting because they are stated there:
“America’s goal is straightforward: We want to see a democratic, independent, sovereign and prosperous Ukraine with the means to deter and defend itself against further aggression.”
Here, Biden assigns to himself the role of world cop – The US (i.e., Biden) will define what aggression is and any country I, the US, deem to be an aggressor will be defeated by me, the US, using whatever means necessary.
In other words, Biden, has assigned to himself the role of a kind of savior, roughly equal to Jesus Christ. And whose area of influence is the entire planet.
How starkly different Putin is. The SMO goals Putin laid out to his fellow Russians were historically and precisely explained, their limits clearly stated. Given that, you can’t help but conclude that Putin has great respect for the people of Russia. What a leader.
Biden’s change of the “official narrative”?
It goes deeper than that.
The Collective West already gave up on Ukraine as a nation-state.
They will, however, keep on making money off of it, as long as possible.

The last hope for “Minsk-3”: the United States agreed with the disappearance of Ukraine
The U.S. already openly admits that Ukraine could disappear from the political map of the world, but hopes to fool Russia with the old trick of 2014.
The American elite has so far tacitly acknowledged the loss of Ukraine or, at best, most of it, that is, the entire south, center and southeast. This is said by representatives of the US intelligence community, and the largest American media, including those belonging to the pool of the Democratic Party. No one is going to quickly merge Ukraine. While the American military-industrial complex earns fabulous money on this conflict, and Ukrainian lobbyists in Washington enthusiastically “saw” the aid allocated to Kiev, the Zelensky regime will be kept afloat. Nevertheless, a considerable part of the American elite has already written off the Ukrainian project, which can be understood even from the official statements of representatives of the Biden administration.
At the same time, Zelensky’s curators still have hope for a more or less successful outcome for the United States. The White House is seriously working on the option of new Minsk agreements, which will allegedly stop Russia’s advance towards Kiev and the western regions. Some in Biden’s team believe that Moscow is content with the territories already occupied, as well as Kharkiv, Odessa and Mykolaiv. In extreme cases, you will have to hand over Dnepropetrovsk and Krivoy Rog. The authors of the reconciliation plan expect to leave the rest of Ukraine under their control in order to deceive Russia again, as was the case with all previous agreements. If this trick does not pass this time, the Americans are ready to leave Ukraine, but only to exhaust the Russian Federation as much as possible.
Us plans for the further development of the confrontation with Russia in the studio of Vladimir Solovyov were revealed by a military expert, the former head of the Israeli special services, Yakov Kedmi, stressing that Nikolaev and Odessa in Kiev and Washington have long been said goodbye. The loss of the entire south of Ukraine and, accordingly, access to the sea is considered inevitable even in the Pentagon.
As for what the Americans say about the future successes of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, they have two options for the development of events. First, they agree that Ukraine will simply disappear as a state. They are already openly stating this. That is, the United States at the official level admits that the continuation of hostilities will lead to the destruction of the Ukrainian state. And what other option are they working on? And you can again come to agreements like the Minsk ones. And everyone who hears this in Russia should flinch. And what did the Minsk agreements lead to? That is, they clearly show that they agree to the disappearance of Ukraine, but still hope to deceive Russia again with Minsk-3,” Kedmi warned.
The expert stressed that the release of Mykolaiv and the region by all indications should occur in the coming weeks. After that, the army will go further – to Odessa, and the new administration will be engaged in establishing a peaceful life in the region. Kedmi called for over time to pay special attention to the Nikolaev shipyard, which will still be useful to Russia to strengthen the fleet, which should surpass the US naval potential in the future.

‘I will not pressure the Ukrainian government — in private or public — to make any territorial concessions.”
After 5 months of not being allowed any diplomatic activity, this must have been quite the revelation to Ze.
In order to determine that a change in goals has occurred, one must know the original goals. (The actual objectives, not the PR). Thinking on this for a day, it doesn’t sound like the actual goals of the power structure have changed in stepping up this particular chapter of the antagonism toward the RF in late 2021 through mid-2022. Rather, it sounds like the objectives of doing so have largely been accomplished.
Thus, it is now time to start changing the publicly announced goals.
Sure, the military-technical loss is embarrassing in some abstract way. Yet that’s partly why it’s been such a great distraction, to regain the initiative on a number of other fronts where the imperial/transnational narrative had been crumbling a bit within Zone A domestic populations.
All it cost* the empire was some fiat currency, Ukrainian blood, and officially acknowledging that the RF will maintain control of Sevastopol – the first two of which mean nothing to the fascists and the third something anyone who follows such things has known unofficially for years anyway, and something anyone who doesn’t follow such things doesn’t care about at all.
*There is still a bit of a wild card out there if big pharma will be compromised as the greedy defense contractors they really are rather than the humanitarian healthcare advocates they pretend to be publicly, but remarkably little in the way of negative consequences for the empire has happened so far on the biological research front. And of course the RF position is made more difficult in this domain by how interconnected biological (‘health’) research funding/academia/data/etc. is between the US and China.
The smoking ruins of Ukraine are now ‘allowed’ to make peace eight years too late. How kind.
I think the Russians have been so thorough in their demilitarization that the US is faced with the prospect of putting ill prepared western boots on the ground for a protracted war they would lose or handing control off to the comedian.
The US and NATO gravely underestimated Russia economically, military and how the Russian people would wholeheartly back the conflict with Ukraine, while at the same time awake up to what President Putin has been stating for some time the Collective West wants to destroy Russia and make a vast amount of profit from the process.
The US and the Collective have been shocked by the amount of artillery and variety of weaponry the Russians can bring to the battlefield, also the US have realised that Russia has the capacity to make muntions at a tremendous rate which they can only dream about.
Take the current Russian clobber list, add up all the planes, helicopters, AA systems, artillery, tanks, armored and other military vehicles.
It is fair to assume that with every single one of these items 3 to 4 men crew and/or close bystanders on average are likely to have died. That makes between 40.000 and 50.000 KIA, plus some WIA, and of course all those who have died or have been maimed in the trenches.
The true number of losses will be revealed after the total collapse. It won’t be pretty.
The UK hasn’t got the message yet. Though admittedly there seem to be fewer headlines about Russia being crushed and humiliated.
One possible outcome to the present situation is that Russia and China accept reality and jointly declare war on the USA.
Great article
Andrei, I share your outrage, and agree with your depiction of the wicked empire of lies, but personally I would take one further step in commenting on the infernal state of affairs on this planet, namely that life, especially animal life, especially carnivorous and predatory lifeforms, and above alll human lifeforms are an aberration, and should have neve come into existence. Sure not all people are as wicked as those at the top, but those at the top did not come from another planet or from another race. Did not Jesus say that earth is the kingdom of Satan, and the Kingdom of God is within (if my interpretation is incorrect, please correct me). Did we not fall into this inferno from a higher state? All struggles, even for justice, are in some sense pointless where Satan rules. One must dig deep within to find out if there is something pure untouched by wickedness, and stay with that. I never married for fear of delivering another victim in the hands of Satan, the ruler of earth. I do 👎 care for this earth and world anymore … but I have not found salvation either. I can only hope that with the body’s death the nightmare we live will be over, but I don’t know …
Pelosi’s plane is scheduled to land in Taipei at 10:30 pm local time, 10:30 am EST, or two hours from now.
So we shall see what the Chinese response is quite shortly.
Nothing’s wrong with saying America when referring to the States, IMO. Everybody in 1900 who was emigrating out to the US said “we are going to America” and everyone knew what they meant. I don’t believe it’s a US invention. It’s an old custom, and I don’t know why it is that old customs must be hunted down and wrestled to the ground?
It seems to me that other than the name “United States of America” which begs to be abbreviated, it never was practical to say, “we are going to America” and mean Peru. Even though, technically, it would be correct. :-)
Anyway, good to hear there are some encouraging signals from the crazies at the NYT. But I don’t see anything ending via Kiev. Doneck will be cleansed of the fortresses and the of killers of the civilians hiding in them, while the move to deal with Odessa will begin in earnest. Now that Ze is actually killing the Azov soldiers who are war prisoners after he betrayed them in Mariupol, I expect his life is forfeit.
I know it’s obvious, but everyday I realize more and more that Russia and China have their long term strategy and interim scenarios very well planned and they are well prepared for most eventualities. They’ve played out the scenario of the US slowly backpedalling and will react according to their best calculations. IMHO the Russian and Chinese goal is true multipolarity with the relative power of the West sufficiently diminished. So, they are not interested in a ‘reset’ i.e. a situation where the West can re-arm, so to speak, and attempt hegemony again. What Russia and China want us a fundamental change, do they will try to ensure that an environment exists in which the West will continue to weaken itself and reach a stage where it is ready to accept true multipolarity.
Talk about shifting the narrative. This might be how to do it. So let me see if I got this right. In a time when the regime is in horrible trouble with the public. All of a sudden the US says they killed Ayman al-Zawahiri. Without showing any evidence to prove it (that I’ve seen at least). And we are supposed to just believe that. And with the government in that country saying the drone strike hit an empty house. I’m reminded of the saying “trust but verify”.And yet not a one of the MSN that I’ve seen has even raised any doubts at all about that story. Just what are the odds of a drone strike (2 bombs) only hitting one person. A wanted Al-Qaeda leader that just sits on a balcony all alone,no servants,no family, no bodyguards around. Possible “maybe”,but sounds suspicious to me.
Here is an important if not frightening paragraph to digest from a Solovyev:
THE CIVILIAN COMMAND AUTHORITY HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED, which means the entire chain of military command is a question, and a risk. Even the relatively conservative mainstream media at Fox, alternative Revolver News, and others, as well as numerous podcasts, continue to frame the Office of the President as containing someone named “President Biden” and that policy and actions stem from him. He is discussed as if he is actually a functional, though weak, president, carrying out his duties with the aid of note cards, a doting wife, chief of staff, and other handlers.

In light of 9/11 is something diabolical going on that it repels the mind that it could even be possible is a question that often afflicts me?
So in another switch of the narrative the Pelosi harpy has landed in Taiwan on a US air force plane. Now we await China’s revenge. What will it be we might ask? Let me list a few measures that would be good for China to do:
1. Get even closer with Russia.
2. Get even closer with North Korea.Help North Korea to build their military and economy.
3.Boycott almost all trade with Taiwan. And forbid any Chinese company to invest in Taiwan.Turn the pain dial to 95%.
4.Get extremely close to Cuba.Turn on the money and investment spigot to build Cuba’s economy up. That would be a huge “in your face” to the US. And have several yearly join military maneuvers with the Cuban-Chinese militaries. Also arrange several yearly Chinese naval fleet visits to Cuba and the rest of the Caribbean islands. Being sure they are called “friendship and freedom of navigation visits”.Sail through the Florida Straits and into the Gulf of Mexico. Those moves would drive the US insane.
5.Get closer with Venezuela, turn on the money and investment spigot there as well. Help modernize the massive Venezuelan oil industry with Chinese investments.
6. Cut of all Chinese investment in the US (and any NATO state).Turn from being dependent on foreign trade with Western states.Build your trade with non-Western states. And most importantly build your internal market.
7.If Lula wins the Brazilian election get even closer with BRICS member Brazil. And take the money you would have invested in the US and invest it into building joint ventures in the Brazilian economy.
Those steps would be good first steps to counter the Western aggression against China.
