BREAKING || Civilians killed as US jets bomb ISIS chemical depot in Deir Ezzor: Syrian MoD
“DAMASCUS, SYRIA (1:30 P.M.) – The US-coalition Air Force has conducted airstrikes against ISIS positions in the eastern city of Deir Ezzor, targeting a chemical depot for the terror group which resulted in the death of hundreds of militants as well as civilian, the Syrian Ministry of Defense said in an official statement.
“Yesterday between 17:30 – 17:50 p.m., the so-called anti-ISIS coalition fighter jets struck an ISIS position in Hatla village to the east of Deir Ezzor. After the airstrike, a huge white cloud was formed –later on turned yellow – as a result of an explosion in a chemical depot. A hug fire broke out until 22:30 p.m. Hundreds have been killed – including civilians – as a result of breathing toxic materials,” the statement detailed.
The official statement said this incident confirms beyond any doubt that “terror groups, particularly ISIS and Jabhet al-Nusra, already own chemical weapons, and have the ability to obtain, transport, store and use such chemical agents with the help of some regional countries. This also stresses the fact that those terror groups are coordinating with its sponsors to accuse the Syrian Arab Army of using chemical weapons.”
“The Syrian government forces have been accused of using Sarin gas against rebels in Khan Sheikhoun on April 4th, which killed at least 74 people.
The alleged attack has prompted the US to strike al-Shayrat airbase in central Homs with 59 cruise missiles”
US coalition air strikes hit ISIS chemical weapons depot–‘hundreds killed’
“Syria has stated that US led coalition bombings of ISIS in Deir ez-Zor hit a chemical weapons depot used by ISIS.
The resultant chemical weapons explosions are said to have killed ‘several hundred civilians’.
The statement from the Syrian General Staff reads.
“The jets of the so-called US-led coalition launched a strike at about 17:30-17:50 on a Daesh warehouse where many foreign fighters were present. First a white cloud and then a yellow one appeared at the site of the strike, which points at the presence of a large number of poisonous substances. A fire at the site continued until 22:30”.
The statement continued,
“This confirms that Daesh and al-Nusra terrorists possess chemical weapons and are capable of using, obtaining and transporting it”.
In a world governed by logic, this would vindicate Syria’s claims that terrorist groups throughout the country are illegally hoarding, trading, selling and using chemical weapons. It is true for Idlib, true for Dier ez-Zor and was true in Aleppo.
The insistence of the US and her subordinate allies to consistently blame Syria for actions of terrorists is not only an affront to objectivity, but a hindrance to actually fighting the terrorists who are using the outlawed weapons.”

so where are the white helmets?
when bombings are done by russians or syrians, they know exactly how many innocent civilians are dead. this time, its the american’s turn… but were are they?
They are waiting for false-flag instructions from head office….
The 100s killed just happened to be pro-assad innocents… we were bombing ISIS, never mind they painted a big target around their chemicals so dimwitted potato-faced american pilots could get it right,
If the US is this bad/careless when trying not to kill its own troops, imagine how much less care is taken when it is “only” foreign civilians involved.
http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/war_stories/2002/04/generals_apathy.html
Yes, exactly. The usual fake war theatre against their very own boogieman ISIS (= U$) wile murdering and destroying Syria. No doubt intended to build up ISIS, and/or to give them another pretext to invade Syria. A massacre they know the Syrians-Iranians will report, if only because it proves the terrorists (ISIS/al-Qaeda & Co.) are the ones who possess chemical weapons.
They aren’t crazy enough to “really” get around chemical attack victims. They would die if the chemical s got on them.
They were busy beheading someone.
I believe the world is witnessing many parallels between the times we are living in presently versus the run-up to World War II in the 1930’s. The events in Syria follow the same episode of what happened to Czechoslovakia, which was parsed by Germany to claim the land occupied by Sudeten Germans.
In Europe, Hitler was building up his war machine. In September of 1938, he negotiated with British PM Neville Chamberlain to agree to the annexation of the “Sudetenland” in Czechoslovakia and avoid war. The Munich Agreement just gave the Fuhrer more time to stage “Operation Southeast” and invade all of Czech sovereignty in March of 1939 (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi… ).
In East Asia, the Imperial Government of Japan relinquished its civilian authority to the Japanese military to greatly purse a foreign policy of imperialism. This led to the second Sino-Japanese War beginning in 1937 (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi… ).
I fear World War III is coming; there are too many coincidences to ignore. The only way to stop it is for the American people to accept the reality of what is happening and put an end to the Pentagon’s push for war. I also believe Russia must make a stand in Syria and thwart the U.S.-NATO plans to partition the country or a repeat of what happened to the Czechs in 1939 will occur.
I think the same. Though for me, I see Syria as the “Spain” of the late 1930’s in that timeline.
Why Spain? Spain didn’t participate in WWII. Syria would at the heart of any WW action..
Because the “civil war” in Spain was the major military political test between the powers at that time. With the “West”,nazi Germany and fascist Italy, backing the fascist revolt in Spain. Even sending troops and armaments to defeat the legal government in Spain. While the USSR on a smaller scale (because of distance mainly) supplied weapons and a few technical troops to aid the Spanish government. The fighting lasted for 3 years and the victory of the fascists there convinced Hitler and Mussolini that they could gain their objectives easily with the use of force. While it showed the USSR that the rule of international law meant nothing in the long run.And that the other powers would standby and allow the fascists to get stronger. It was the true “prelude” to WWII.From then on it was only a matter of time until World War would erupt. A few people back then saw that clearly and warned about it. But as with Syria today most are too blind to see it. And are sleepwalking to a repeat of “1939”.
Aha…Interesting perspective!
One could argue then that there are many “Spains” out there…Syria, but also Iraq, Ukraine, Libya, Serbia… Because all those countries were friendly with Russia and were torn apart through civil war and dismemberment fuelled by the AZ empire… And with each victory today’s fascist/AZs believe they are stronger!
@UB1.
Agree. I made the same “it reminds me of the lessons per the Spanish “civil” war” remark myself a week or so back……. And so much has happened in just a week or so.
» land occupied by Sudeten Germans «
Occupied? That land was inhabited by more than 80% Germans. In 1945, ethnic cleansing occurred. Horrible crimes, that I can tell you. Very horrible crimes.
They’d been living there much longer than Russians in, say, the Baltic states.
Care to elaborate what the “parallels” to the war in Syria are that’s been ongoing for six years?
And the connection to the topic of this page?
Why focus on the nuance of the words, “occupied” versus “inhabited”? They’re synonyms of each other. You point out the subtle differences in meaning to try and differentiate what happened prior to World War II and now but I see no difference at all.
Germany invaded Czechoslovakia in 1939; no nation attempted to stop them. The Czechs lost their country as it was split up between Germany, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland.
The United States of America invaded Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and now Syria; no nation has attempted to stop them. The objective is to split up the country, takeover the oil and gas reserves and force Russia to give up its investment. How do you not see the similarities between then and now? How are you not able to discern the inevitable, long term implications of what will happen, just like what did happen when Hitler unleashed his war machine in Europe?
The U.S. has become a de facto totalitarian, imperialistic State. The Pentagon junta has usurped the civilian authority of the government in Washington, DC and assumed overt authority to dictate American foreign policy. The reality that President Trump will be unable revitalize the domestic economy and “Make America Great Again” has sunk in and he’s been convinced by his inner circle of neocons the only way to turn it around is to convert U.S. manufacturing to a full scale up war production just like during World War II.
The bankers will become even richer and will oppose Trump if he tries to stop it. The backlash of the corporate owned media, the U.S. Congress, weapons contractors, Wall Street, Hollywood and every other faction that wants war against Iran, Russia, China and North Korea in the expectation it will create a thriving economy at home, is too much for Trump to overcome. He’s been seduced by the power of military aggression and has fallen in league with the militarists. This same event happened when the Japanese military assumed civilian authority over the Imperial Japanese Government to control foreign policy in East Asia during the 1930’s.
World War III is coming unless the American people awake from their self-induced stupor and stop it!
“He’s been seduced by the power of military aggression and has fallen in league with the militarists. This same event happened when the Japanese military assumed civilian authority over the Imperial Japanese Government to control foreign policy in East Asia during the 1930’s.”
I do see a lot of similarity between that period in Japan and the Trump regime today.
You’re damn right. That’s the idea. Except maybe that it was, obvious now, the Nazi establishment’s only idea from the start. Like Adolf Hitler (Hitlery) Trump is in reality one 100% a monstrous fraud, and their latest desperate attempt to fool the Americans into more wars on behalf of their own enslavers (Roth-child mob). No MAGA but FEMA, but first https://youtu.be/NyubNtwen4I
I agree Russia/Iran, and the rest of the world – volunteers – need to stop them in Syria, period.
I’m not sure what you’re really poking at, but it has to be something different from the truth.
By your logic twisting occupare and inhabitare into synonymity, the German troops invading the Soviet Union which the Soviets called “fascist occupants” would have been inhabitants.
Note that in the multiethnic Frankenstein state of Czechoslovakia created by F/UK/US after WW1 on the basis of radical Czech nationalism, Germans were the second largest ethnic group. That’s right, more Germans than Slovaks in Czechoslovakia.
Also, it would be more appropriate to say that Germany *occupied* rather than *invaded* Bohemia and Moravia, because (a) Czechoslovakia had already ceased to exist and (b) not a single shot was fired and no blood was spilled. Plus, the Czech leadership, now swapped to moderate, was asking Hitler for protection. Why? Because the preceding Czech nationalists had p!ssed off all other ethnic groups – not only Germans, but also Hungarians, Poles, and even Slovaks.
Azi Americans, however, feeding on lies 24/7 and reproducing them like parrots, prefer to call this operation an “invasion”. And let me repeat: not a single shot was fired and no blood was spilled.
“Also, it would be more appropriate to say that Germany *occupied* rather than *invaded* Bohemia and Moravia, because (a) Czechoslovakia had already ceased to exist and (b) not a single shot was fired and no blood was spilled. That’s a bit disingenuous of you. If you read about how that “asking” came about.Hitler summoned the new Czech President to visit him for “talks”.And told him unless he agreed to German troops occupying Bohemia and Moravia they would invade and level Prague. He threw such a raging fit that the elderly Czech President had major chest pains and the nazis were afraid he would die right there. After a doctor was called for him,and he recovered a bit he agreed to “ask” them in. You are right though that the Czechs had “pissed off” the other nationalities over the years.
How do you ‘stop’ the Pentagon?
The only way is to cut off their funding and just how do you accomplish that? Anyone who tried would be disposed of.
You get in the face of your congressional representative and demand an end to military aggression.
You demand the United Nations stop acting as America’s footstool and actually sanction the U.S.
You don’t pay money to see Hollywood military action films where the U.S. comes out on top.
You don’t stand up when the national anthem is played but instead, remain silent.
If you currently work for a weapons contractor, find another job if possible.
You stop paying federal income taxes to fund the war machine.
You reject any call to arms via conscription legislation (i.e., “draft”).
You explain to your family and neighbors there is no national interest in overthrowing other nations.
You can do a lot to stop the impending war if you put your mind to it.

Hmm, I’m not sure I believe that — there are no pictures of this, not even of the white cloud that then turned yellow? And the only sources for this claim are Syrian government sources?
In a war with as much dubious propaganda from all sides as this one, I think that we need more evidence before drawing any conclusions, and especially before taking action. I’m not saying that this is false, I’m just saying that I’d like to see more evidence before believing it.
Just what I think.
Don’t try to compete in lying with the Azi Empire. Can’t beat them at their own game.
In fact, they need to be called liars directly and brutally. They have no good faith whatsoever themselves and constantly exploit that of others, who give the benefit of the doubt to the most absurd of their claims, like with this alleged poison gas attack. Lying, lying, lying – this is the Azi game.
@thinker.
Agee.
AND.
If only the exact same caution had been applied by the US on April 7.
”I think that we need more evidence before drawing any conclusions, and especially before taking action. I’m not saying that this is false, I’m just saying that I’d like to see more evidence before believing it.”
did you say that with the ”other” alledged ‘gas attack, i wonder?
Yes, that obviously applies to the other alleged gas attack just as well.
In that case though, we *do* have some more evidence: photographs that allegedly show victims from the scene, statements by various of the acting parties involved, all of who agree with the hypothesis that this poisoning has taken place.
Nevertheless, it’s extremely difficult to arrive at a well-founded opinion or even conclusion on who did it and why. I am by no means in a position to make a judgement or call for punishment. However, I have some thoughts about it, roughly summarized like this: the Russian story has some inconsistencies (e.g. concerning the alleged timing of the attack) which make me skeptical about it. On the other hand, it’s hard to imagine what motive the Assad regime would have to commit such atrocities. So it’s inconclusive.
But even if it this heinous act was committed by the Syrian military, the American response to it remains unjustified.
@thinker and other cheerers.
Let’s look at this this way.
When you prepare provocation, you send in TV crews and hundreds of “photographers” including the “saviors”.
In the real event all those stage actors are missing.
I rest my case.
Could this be Russian and Syrian payback for the false-flag chemical incident blamed on Syria?
Actually, assuming this happened, Turkey, Israel, Saudi Arabia, or any other party that wants conflict between the U.S. and Russia could be behind this.
RT is reporting that the Americans are boasting that they’ve used a ‘holocaust’ weapon in Afghanistan- the largest non-nuclear bomb in the US military arsenal. All Trump can do to go ‘bigger’ now is to go ***nuclear***.
We’ve all seen zionist trolls ‘mock’ Russia for its use of small precise bombs in Syria, deriding Putin for not flattening whole blocks indiscriminatingly like the UK and USA do. Indeed immediately prior to the sarin false-flag, British and American pilots flattened an entire region in Mosul just to kill a few roof top snipers. Hundreds of innocent civilians in the building were mass murdered- but of course Putin refused to hold the feet of the West to the fire over that atrocity, as usual. But the West didn’t hesitate for a second demonising Putin for a much smaller atrocity days later.
My point is, as the West showed with its genocidal fire-bombing of whole cities in WW2- the ***worst*** of the war-crimes carried out during that war- the West’s prime method in any form of military conflict is to use the most massively overwhelming military destruction they can get away with.
Over the last few days Trump and the UK have murdered many hundreds of civilians in Syria, knowing that Putin will do nothing effective to hold the West accountable. And Trump, as he proudly boasts, is always about going ***bigger***. Trump can destroy a ‘rebel’ chemical facility (after all we know the West knows the location of all Rebel weapons storage sites), kill hundreds with the resulting released fumes, and have the zionist BBC etc inform their dribbling sheeple audience that this, of course, is nothing like Putin and Assad “using sarin”. We awake people know the truth, but the vast majority of people- the lazy sheeple who choose to continue sucking at the teat of the zionist lie factories- believe every word the BBC says.
Trump has wrong-footed Putin to a much larger degree, because Trump’s real target is North Korea- a somewhat odd nation which is near blameless when compared to the recent sins of other Far East nations in the region, or nations of the West and their direct allies. N. Korea is like that slightly anti-social kid who everyone bullies for being ‘different’. And remember, the ***only*** reason there is a North Korea is because Japan demands that Korean reunification is prevented at all costs. Japan is the perpetual warmongering racist monster in the region (and a few decades of ‘peace’ after WW2 certainly hasn’t changed that fact). And Korea has always been Japan’s ***slave*** state, just as Yemen was the slave state of Saudi Arabia. A re-unified Korea would see the final end of Japan’s post-WW2 economic dominance as united Korea rose to second place to China. Japan will never tolerate this.
Trump bombed Russia and Assad’s air base to fix Putin’s eye completely on Syria. And Putin doesn’t even have a geo-political position on N. Korea, foolishly leaving this to the never-dependable China. Yet Trump has just dropped America’s biggest non-nuclear nuke on a handful of cross border smugglers in Afghanistan, in readiness to use the same weapons across N Korea, triggering the regional war that will lead to WW3 within a year.
Sadly most people here would rather talk about exposing America’s hypocrisy in Syria (as if America has ever given a damn about being a hypocrite) than worrying about N Korea. Indeed I bet 50% of the people here accept, hook line and sinker, all the demonising propaganda about N Korea. And less than 1% of people here realise that Korea would reunify just as fast as Germany did if America withdrew its forces. The Soviets were in East Germany to ***prevent*** reunification, and the Americans are in South Korea for the same reason.
China’s relationship with America is like the USSR had with Nazi Germany before WW2. Enemies co-operating for Empire reasons. At this time China will cynically (and very foolishly) betray N Korea- for only if China withdraws its support can the USA attack N Korea. And Japan will do its best to help ensure Korea fails to become a regional super-power for another 50-100 years by encouraging Trump to engage in actions that ruin North ***and*** South Korea.
Syria is done. The UK and US demons flood Syria with anti-armour weapons systems faster than the regime can recover- and regime victory in one region is just countered with building terror infrastructure in another- a game of whack-a-mole that the West can and will play forever until Russia just gives up (as in most of Ukraine and almost all ex-USSR nations) and allows a West friendly regime to take over the government.
Today, rapidly building events in the Far East matter a million times more and should get far more of our attention. Trump wants his ‘perfect war’ and believes with all his teeny tiny brain that no-one will mind a US war against N Korea. It’s like how Afghanistan came before Iraq, because no-one would oppose America attacking the Taliban. It is those wars you ‘think’ don’t matter that really matter the most. If you are successfully pre-programmed by propaganda to ‘accept’ a war against some nation that has really done (almost) nothing, then you know your thinking has been conditioned to serve the will of the demons.
” Korea has always been Japan’s ***slave*** state”
You are history challenged, aren’t you?
@ J: From 1905 on, not an inaccurate statement, though “vassal” is probably a better word. And before that, subject to several waves of invasions/occupations.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Korea#Foreign_invasions
Not really. From 1905 to 1945, it was 40 years in Korea’s over 2000 years long history. Japan in that 2000 years, bar lass then 100, was a country of internal conflict and piracy on the seas, and coastal settlements.
There is no supremacy in Japanese history, only stupidity as it squander its only prime time on slaughtering the neighbors. They apparently do not know any better.
You may have forgotten the several invasions during the 1500’s of Korea by Japan. At that time Korea was a very rich country. The looting of that wealth by Japanese warlords make those warlords very rich. The Korean’s haven’t forgotten those days. They have made several movies about it. And the main (one of the main) reasons for the first Sino-Japanese War was over Korea. From which China lost territory to Japan (including the islands disputed today. And Taiwan as well). The Japanese control (seizure and occupation) of Korea that followed and lasted until 1945 left a very sour taste in Koreans mouths for Japan. There are countless movies made in Korea over that occupation and the Japanese cruelty then:

Bombing of civilians is as Anglo-American is apple pie and Yorkshire Pudding. In fact ‘area bombing’ was a British invention formulated by Sir Arthur (bomber) Harris who sent his fleet of RAF bomber command of Lancaster bombers to set fire to Hamburg which resulted in the death of up to 42,000 civilians, later came the Dresden massacre in 1945, which reduced the city to rubble and claimed another 20,000.00
Curtis Le May USAAF C-I-C went one better incerating some 100,000 souls in the fire-bombing of Tokyo in 1945. Then of course there was the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But hey, that’s all history. Who’s next for humanitarian bombing?
@ Lee Francis
The German city of Cologne was bombed in 262 separate air raids by the Allies during World War II, all by the Royal Air Force (RAF). A total of 34,711 long tons of bombs were dropped on the city by the RAF. While air raid alarms had gone off in the winter/spring of 1940 as British bombers passed overhead, the first bombing took place on 12 May 1940.The most notable attack on Cologne was the first 1,000 bomber raid on 30/31 May 1942. Codenamed Operation Millennium.
So the first carped bombing of civilians called “dehousing campaing” was started by the Britons on 1940.
“135,000 victims in Dresden”?
The casualty figures for Dresden have seen a constant, politically correct downward revision over the years,{in the occupied Germany} actually dipping as low as 35,000. However, as recently as 1991 Juan Maler wrote, very logically: “If 55,000 people lost their lives in the bombing raid on Hamburg in July 1943, then it is impossible for the death toll to have been lower in Dresden. One must bear in mind that Hamburg possessed a functioning anti-air raid defense as well as the fact that the bomb payload dropped on Hamburg was not even one-third of that dropped on Dresden. […] Irving was able to prove 135,000 dead. However, 480,000 bombing victims have been officially documented. These included 37,000 toddlers and infants, 46,000 school-aged children, 55,000 disabled ex-servicemen, invalids and nurses, Red Cross assistants and nursing personnel, 12,000 rescue workers, firemen, orderlies, air-raid assistants and air-raid police. Also, in light of the fact that at the time of the attacks Dresden was crowded with 1,200,000 people [including some 600,000 refugees; Scriptorium], and that more than 70,000 bombs were dropped by 9,000 fighter bombers, it is quite absurd to speak of 35,000 dead [or even 135,000; Scriptorium]. Just consider the ratio of one bomb per two city inhabitants!” (Translated from: Juan Maler, Die Unvollendete, Buenos Aires 1991, pp. 28-29.)
In this context, it is also important to note the following information regarding the death toll of the Dresden civilians, and it cannot be stressed enough that these deaths were caused by the British and American terrorist air raid of February 13-14, 1945, at a time when the outcome of the war had already been decided.
The “official” number of 35,000 victims – an insult to the dead! – is specified by the relevant police protocol to refer to those bodies that could be identified.
The city center of Dresden was turned to ash. Experts estimate that another 200,000 to 300,000 people were crushed, suffocated and incinerated in the air-raid shelters-turned-crematoria under the masses of rubble, scorched to ash by the 800°C firestorm and 290 km/h wind.
The fact is that 900,000 food ration cards were issued before the catastrophe, whereas the official 1946 population statistic of Dresden showed 486,000 living inhabitants. The vast numbers of refugees who died (all of the city’s buildings were overcrowded with refugees from Silesia) are largely disregarded in these figures. Furthermore, Dresden was Germany’s largest hospital city. (The German Red Cross had also set up its headquarters there during the war.)
The exact number of victims, which some sources estimate at greater than 500,000, will probably never be precisely known. This also explains why the German leadership avoided announcing the magnitude of the death toll so as not to shock the German people even further. One remark by Reich Propaganda Minister Dr. Goebbels has become known: “How am I going to tell the German people about this?!”

» The Soviets were in East Germany to ***prevent*** reunification, and the Americans are in South Korea for the same reason. «
Actually, Stalin offered reunification on condition that Germany become neutral. So reunification could have happened in the 50ies.
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalin-Noten
But the Usanians refused. History has shown and continues to show why.
To hide this Usanian ugliness, historians are paid to maintain that “Stalin didn’t really mean it”. Of course he did – he understood his catastrophic strategic error and tried to correct it. Too late – Uncle Sam had metastasized to continental Europe.
Soviet Army left Austria with such a deal, though the deal has become somewhat raveled out.
I wish I could find error in that analysis, brother.
Trump went to military school, he’s a cadet captain who has no idea what war is. He’s a fool. Fitting to have as the last Emperor a clown, eh?
No plan survives first contact is, evidently, not yet a lesson the Cadet Captain has learned…

Doesn’t it prove that the USA has launched criminal chemical weapon strikes against Syrian civilians? And therefore the USA needs to be attacked with many, many cruise missiles?
Luckily, unlike the now almost fully-formed, Eurasian Alliance, (Russia, China, Iran, Syria) the US has no defense against missiles, so most of them will be effective.
If the US logic is applied, certainly. After all this is an unverified story. So it would fit nicely to the US’s standards as well.
The last paragraph from a Seymour Hersh article published in The London Review of Books December 19, 2013.
“The UN resolution, which was adopted on 27 September by the Security Council dealt indirectly with the notion that rebel forces such as an-Nusra would also be obliged to disarm….No group was cited by name. While the Syrian regime continues the process of eliminating its chemical arsenal, the irony is that, after Assad’s stockpile of precursor agents is destroyed, al-Nusra and its Islamist allies could end up as the only faction inside Syria with access to the ingredients that can create sarin, a strategic weapon that would be unlike any other in the war zone.”

Heap many scalps for the Empire.
WW2 strategic bombing was not as devastating as propaganda claimed. Actually first Allie officers and civilians were surprised that most of German towns were only partly destroyed and large area had minor damage. Bombing itself was not as effective as Air Power warlords were dreaming. The crucial winner was still – artillery.
It is important to realize that Assad government gave up it’s chemical weapons in 2014. but the Salafist terrorists did not allow the destruction of chemical weapons in the two facilities that they controlled:
“Experts from Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) confirmed the destruction of 10 out of 12 chemical weapons facilities in Syria, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Tuesday.
According to these experts, the only 2 chemical weapons facilities that were not destroyed were currently inside opposition-controlled territory.
While this doesn’t necessarily mean the opposition was behind the attacks in Khan Sheikhoun earlier this month, it does raise questions about the fate of these last two chemical weapons facilities and whether or not they are still used.”

It would be impossible for the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) inspectors not to know of the weapons and thus supervised their on-site destruction. On-site destruction is done via neutralized using sodium hydroxide:

Would like get more information on the casualties and their symptoms. Where are the Al Qaeda white helmets when you need their videos! Perhaps ISIS has their own Hollywood productive team and will publish on Youtube soon?
Wikileaks drops Syria bomb. Email to Hillary Clinton assures her “AQ [Al Qaeda] is on our side in Syria”
“Hillary Clinton’s former policy adviser told the presidential candidate that Al-Qaeda is on the side of the United States in Syria.
Wikileaks has just posted an unclassified email to Hillary Clinton from her foreign policy advisor, Jake Sullivan. The email is dated February 2012, with heading “See last item – AQ is on our side in Syria”.
AQ meaning Al Qaeda [..]”

Unfortunately for the dead and injured we must hope that the SAA is correct and letter perfect in its analysis or otherwise they will be accused of lying in defense of whatever took place in Idlib province. This timing is too ‘good’ to be true. Is there a civil war taking place within the military-surveillance- foreign affairs departments of the American Federal Government? It would almost appear that two opposing factions with the military conducted the false flag in Idlib and resulting missile strike to be followed by the embarrassment to the east of Deir ez-Zor? This ball of twine in this catastrophe in Syria has more loose ends protruding than there are players.
The Duran is reporting on a Bloomberg News report that Trumps “new” neo-con NS adviser is trying to get him to send US troops (up to 50,000) to Syria. I think its clear where this is heading. So the question should be what needs to be done if that takes place. The question of “will ” there be war is almost over. And should be replaced by the question of “how to win the war” instead.
Lets assume for a moment the US does make that fatal error. They invade Syria under the pretext of defeating ISIS.And after a while turn the combined anti-Assad forces and the US troops against the Syrian Army (which is almost 100% certain they will). As much as I believe Russia should not allow that. I can’t count on that.So I’m going to figure Russia will condemn the invasion, but withdraw. Assad needs to form from his supporters partisan forces that will strike at the enemy troops constantly. While the Syrian government itself should relocate to Iran. And from there form itself into a “government in exile” while its forces inside Syria become an “army of liberation”.They need to merge with Hezbollah (who will also be attacked by the US and their stooges) and adapt the partisan war tactics Hezbollah used against the Israelis. The more resistance to the US forces, the quicker that the 63% of US citizens that support warmongering will regret their choice.Iran (who also will be threatened if not attacked by the US) should get their allies in the Shia population of Irag. As well as “volunteers” from Iran to strike the US in Iraq. Forcing the US to send thousands of more troops to Iraq. Forcing them to fight a “two front” partisan war.The heavy casualties causing more anti-war sentiment in the US.
If Trump ,as is likely, has gone full-retard,and attacks North Korea as well. There will be a third front to the war. Which will leave the US overstretched and with less time to devote to harming Russia. And that “should” be Russia’s time to put an end to the junta regime in Ukraine. The last thing the US would want to do is face a Russian army while tied down in three other wars.Russia should turn loose the LDPR forces and Russian “volunteers” (vacationing soldiers) to liberate Ukraine and form a free government there.Backed up by a treaty of alliance with Russia.
I would also aid “heavily” the Yemeni struggle, and form Shia partisans in Eastern Saudi Arabia. That would force the Saudis to either be defeated. Or call for US troops to save them. Meaning a “fourth” war front for the US to face. I suspect the US will get support from the Turks in these wars. So anything and everything that can be done to stir up the Kurdish resistance inside Turkey. And Kurds in Syria (and possibly in Iraq) should be done. The more resistance to the occupation troops, the sooner a “real” anti-war movement will arise in the US.Many people in the US will see that the heavy losses should be laid on the doorstep of the warmongers and their political system. And unlike previous times. That might lead to a real change to reality inside the US.
That is my opinion of how to counter a US invasion against Syria. I’m curious to see others thoughts on that issue.
Uncle Bob, I don’t see how Russia can abandon Syria economically or militarily.
Russian oil and gas companies (e.g., Gazprom, Soyuzneftegaz, Lukoil, Zarubezhneft) have made significant financial investments over the years in the amount of 19 billion dollars and this is a quote from an article back in 2015 (see: http://www.thearabweekly.com/Opinion/2154/Russia%E2%80%99s-economic-agenda-in-Syria ). I can’t image the oligarchs relinquishing all of that infrastructure necessary to build the future pipeline to service the energy needs of the EU should U.S.-NATO attempt to overthrow Assad’s government in earnest. I think the corporate heads would demand the Kremlin protect their business interests as it also represents potential growth opportunities and a major revenue stream for Russia itself.
Militarily there is the naval base at Tartus and the Khmeimim air base outside Latakia. Tartus will also serve Russia as a port of call for future commercial maritime commerce too. I can’t imagine President Putin would capitulate to any demands made by the U.S regarding these key Russian assets in Syria as the political implications would be severe for his government as well, in my opinion.
I think any deal the U.S. offers Russia would be re-negotiated again and again until Russia is left with nothing viable economically and no Mediterranean Sea port either. Russia has to be firm and not give in one kilometer in Syria. If war does come, let it be in Syria with Russia versus the U.S.
It’ll be the “ruckus in Damascus”, if I may be permitted to use a flippant sport’s locution.
“Russia has to be firm and not give in one kilometer in Syria. If war does come, let it be in Syria with Russia versus the U.S.”
I’ll bet the Syrians would prefer it to be in Saudi Arabia — think the Syrians have had enough war, and Saudis deserve some ‘collateral damage’, especially on the palaces, and they are one of the main supporters of terrorists fighting in Syria. Bring it home to them.
I just wonder when Russia get tired of Saudi Arabia and make it feel the pain – i mean real pain. Is Kreml just another rich men oligarch club? I swear there are lots of tools to cut the trouts of Saudis. And the oil problems for them are the most devastating one. When you track Mafia you only have to follow the money channel.
“… I can’t count on that. …”
Neither can I. Just the other day a representative of the Russian government publicly stated: that the official role of Russia in Syria is to fight ISIS and other jihadists and not to protect Assad’s regime, and that Russia supports Assad’s army “because it is the most efficient force in Syria that is fighting ISIS (etc.)”!
So, here you have it.
Keep also in mind: Russian oligarchy is apparently divided about 50/50 between those who adore west and those who are against west (see Saker’s interview with sheikh Imran Hosein). Which means that “Russian bear” is not as monolithic as we would wish. Yes, Putin’s own popularity is very high, but common people are never those who actually decide things, no matter where. Putin’s hands are tied, he is not an absolute monarch, he does not rule somehow “in a vacuum”, but relies on a certain consensus of influential circles. To translate that into Syrian situation, we have a wild card. (And if we know all that … then so does the Anglo Zionist empire…)
“Keep also in mind: Russian oligarchy is apparently divided about 50/50 between those who adore West and those who are against West”
I think that amounts to an accurate assessment. And we find this kind of Russian loyalists of Western Empire among the contributors here too — Cat Motya springs to mind immediately — but here they are vastly outnumbered by anti-Empire people; hence Harvard’s verdict of this site as ‘fake-news’.
The solution is plain and blunt: Finish off the West once and for all. Then the traitors and other assorted filth won’t have any meaningful sources of inspiration and income anymore. Problem solved.
“terror groups, particularly ISIS and Jabhet al-Nusra, already own chemical weapons”
And U.S. has funded that group (Nusra).
P.S. Russia has decided to withdraw from this year’s Eurovision – guess it got sick of Ukraine’s obnoxiousness.
Good! Eurovision is for Euro-trash, period. Really, I think staging this God-awful ‘musical’ zio-gay excrement could be made the permanent privilege of the Ukros. At the risk of boring you, I remind you once again of the Ukros’ exceptional musical talents:
https://youtu.be/ApmgFPWzMFc
The right thing to do would have been to with draw the contest from Ukraine for discrimination and charge them in their fancy european court for racism and human rights violations.
The right thing to do would be to (removed MOD) during the broadcast. No pleas to the “International Community” necessary (and who believes this would lead anywhere?).
US blows $300-million in one “mother” of a firecracker
That bomb that the US ecstatically exploded in Nowhere Province Afghanistan?
Price tag of $314,000,000 according to Snowden.
“Those tunnels they targeted? We (US) built them.”
I guess it’s an interesting twist on the old “you break it you buy it” shop policy.
Snowden says the tunnels were built in the 1980s for the Mujahideen and the 9/11 patsy, Osama bin Laden worked the bulldozers himself carving out tunnels!!!
That would be the Tora Bora mountains that OBL hid in for years post 9/11.
Or not – depending on your preferred conspiracy “theory”, cause an obituary for OBL appeared in KSA in 2001. OR. He died in a shoot-out with Seal Team 6 in 2010.
Doesn’t matter…. It’s now 2017, we’ve all moved on….. and the USAF is today providing air-cover in Syria for ISUS, which is what the Mujahideen / al-Qada are now called.

Look up the manufacture of mustard gas and potassium chlorate. Simple and well documented as in use by ISIS.
The cloud could have been the precursors with some combination, but the results would have been very nasty. In an area controlled by ISIS, the deaths if only in the hundreds could have been covered up fairly rapidly.
