The Saker
Colour revolution underway in Papua New Guinea. Clenched fist symbol pervasive. Students mobilised. Indonesia to be broken up. Sarawak, Borneo, the Lesser and Greater Sunder Archepelgos to be detached. Western Papua to be detached. PNG to be broken up into 4 to 6 statelets. ASEAN cannot survive without the resourse underpinning of greater Indonesian holdings. The Achilles heel of ASEAN is exposed and about to be shattered. :)

Where is this.
How many pathetic little pokes did “Austin Fits” get in at Russia this time?
Catherine Austin Fitts knows her economics. I enjoyed the whole discussion but the eye-opener for me was her claim at the end that trust is what makes an economy run, what gives it liquidity. And that criminal operations can’t generate the same liquidity as transparent operations. And that the centralization driven by corruption has displaced the honest mechanisms of the economy, and this is why no money is moving.
This seems absolutely correct. I can’t provide a cite, but I read the other day that the US savings rate is now triple what it was a few years ago. Normally this would be excellent news, that people are saving more. But in truth, the situation in the US is that if you have a little money, you don’t spend it, and if you want to make a business investment, you can’t trust the future so you simply tread water, put off expansion, and keep holding your money. Unfortunately, this means you can’t grow your money.
The biggest symptom of illness in the US economy is a metric that’s rarely mentioned – the velocity of money. We have inflation but not rising prices because money simply isn’t moving frequently enough to develop trends and reactions in the economy. Everything is sluggish in the extreme. At root is the lack of trust. No trust in leadership, no trust in the honesty of markets or metrics, no trust even in the institutions of society. Nothing is moving, and no answers are appearing, in the US.
I know the interview was about Russia and the US, but I had to comment on what Austin Fitts said, because it was so good.
great point you make and totally agree with it. would also add the rise of Black Market as to avoid paying taxes because don’t trust a corrupt government with their money , hence the pipe dream of a cashless society lol.
In 2003 IBM produced a paper on trust concluding:
“Individuals in higher-trust societies spend less to protect themselves from being exploited in economic transactions. Trust is an economical substitute for extensive contracts, litigation, and monitoring in transactions and thus economises on transaction costs.”
Some people say there are three sources of trust: State, Community & Family. Notice the absence of corporations.
Recent research at the Max Planck Institute found after playing the Ultimatum Game with chimpanzees, reported in Science, say;
“A number of researchers in the field of human evolution think that a sense of fairness — and a willingness to punish the unfair even at some cost to oneself — is humanity’s “killer app”.
Trust is the killer app.
Yes, I agree with you there Grieved. I have spent some time examining modern monetary systems, reading about the history of money and Empires, delving into the hugeYouTube library concerning the FED, banks, the lot. Yet I dont recall a single one pointing this out – that the basis of successful money economies is trust. The more I think of it and examine the past compared to the present, it rings true and correct every time.
I’d also like to thank Saker for pointing that President Putin is, not a politician which we all know, not even the bureaucrat he described himself as once (before he became President), , but is in fact a serving Officer. As in Forces Officer [which he essential was in the KGB].
It makes a lot come clear for me. During a few formative years in my twenties I had much to do with a branch of the British Army, and got to know a quite a few Officers. I see the same dedication to country which often came before family [many never married, at least not until pretty late in life], the clear logical strategic and pragmatic thinking, the awareness of responsibility to those beneath ones’ command and the desire to avoid unnecessary suffering at all costs coupled with the ability to act swiftly and ruthlessly when it was clearly required. Plus a huge amount of personal courage, as you say.
I think this is largely why the Junta of Beltway and it’s vassals cannot understand him. Their minds and how they work are worlds, poles, apart.
And I see this as a huge danger. That which they have no hope of understanding they cannot predict nor grapple with. I see so many critical of Putin and “Russia” comments from posters here [and on other sites] which baffle me until I realise that this disparity of mind and thought are what is being presented.
And because the Junta have no concept of what they are dealing with, they are more likely to make assumptions that are wrong and dangerous, and could lead to the destruction of millions of lives.
According to Prof. Cohen this recent US proposal for cooperation with Russia is part of Obama’s White House split with neocon elements in the State Department/CIA possibly ( he brings this up about 3/4 the way through the session with John Batchelor)

Thanks for this excellent conversation between two persons who inspire trust.
I took special interest in the remark that this earth is but a small part of a bigger corporation, and that’s where the money/energy is going from the harvesting here.
Ironically, Fitts is in the business of helping clients make money with their money (usury), and then is so disgusted with the logic of that, that she is tempted to escape to the wilderness.
Paradoxically, the Saker and Russia, who abhor war, are forced into being warriors of the first order, in order to prevent war.
If, and that’s a big if, the planet can avoid war (perhaps by an unavoidable economic collapse), it still needs a national and global idea of how to create peace.
I believe it can only be done with love, as a renewed ideology, which implements the central dogma of Christianity (and other religions) that “God is Love,” or better that “Love is Love.”
On this earth, the biggest corporation that is siphoning off our energy is patriarchy (or pay-triarchy). But our patriarchy is a subset of the greater corporation of evilarchy, which is necessitated by the freedom love demands, universally, even to the stars.
All hinges on love, as an idea and a reality. I have broached that idea here with the theme of a Love Army challenging the Evil Army. The latter is more than familiar to us by now, while the former remains a “mystery at the top,” in the words of Fitts, who admits to not knowing who that is.
Love is the name above all names. Evil is allowed, not only because freedom necessitates it, but because our love is only proven by our actions in regard to evil. If I fail in this regard, I sink into illness and despair (in this temporality); while if I succeed, I experience joy and love in a greater fullness. So in the logic of that, war or peace depends on each one of us, as individuals, and as small communities, one of which is this vineyard.
“So in the logic of that, war or peace depends on each one of us, as individuals, and as small communities, one of which is this vineyard.”
Welcome again, Denis and big hug for this post
Today’s gospel reading (in the west) is the parable of the good samaritan, whose message gets glossed over. ( The last episode of of Seinfeld referenced a “bad samaritan”) The message revolves around “God” and “Neighbor” and how in love, they are inseparable. The samaritan is the one who shows mercy — is the neighbor– and like Christ is an outcast. The parable ends with “go and do likewise.”
Very intresting, cheers.
Considering Stoltenburg has said rus is not an immediate threat to nato , which must stay strong ifdefencen but engage with dialogue -in their schizophrensic frenzy-and polish pm says he believes it necessary to join nato, I am wondering if this double speak(or both sides of the same equation) at the nato conference ,just before the nato rus conference just about to cone up, does what it belives is a smart move and announces fast travcking ukr membership of nato, what the heck would VP say or do then???????
Vos I do not think poland baltics are goi g to let this go, they want someone ie ukr to be part of the equation to protect themselves p!us project nato’s intentions surely……?
Btw….nato seems very concerned over “steadying”? Of rus-greece relations, plus concerns over Bulgarian russophobic pm decision to not have “nato”black sea fleet(whih must be comprised of bulgarian, romanian, and turkish components, cos of Bulgaria being very wary of turkey, lack of support from usa support after losing out due to sanctions, although a court has said Bulg. must pay 700million in damages for cancelling the contract with a rus company for a nuclear power plant?
Extra thought…polish pm saying ukr should be part of nato shows he ain’t bothered by ukr renaming moscow street to Bandera street and ignored polish senate findings that Volhynia massacre was a genocide by ukr ww2????
When looking at Polish actions, always remember their regimes eternally hate Russia. Whenever thinking “I wonder how Poland feels on a subject”. Just think,”is it an anti-Russian action”. If the answer is “yes”,then think,”they are for it”. It works like a charm if you figure it that way. You will never go wrong thinking that way.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stoltenburg likes to talk out of both sides of his mouth. On the one hand he says NATO actions are to “deter,an aggressive Russia”.And then he says,NATO’s actions aren’t a threat to Russia, and the Russia’s are wrong”.Its not important to listen to anything he says. What’s important is to “see” NATO’s actions to determine what they are plotting.
I really hope we get an analysis after warsaw conference…..even if it is still “status quo” and what that may mean……especially after nato rus conference, thanks for your thoughts uncle bob and for reading my comments despite spelling……..toooo much to say in short time,…….
I would like to know what you wanted to mean with this statement:
(…) what the Argentinians did with Melvina’s war, and try to distract from internal problems
by creating external conflicts.(….)
For what I had understood, was Thatcher who launched and used the Melvinas´ war to distract from internal problems in a moment when her popularity was at the ground level and so was possible for her to hold new elections in 1983 and achieving to be reelected, a thing that, should it not be for this war she would had never achieved and then, would not have had the opportunity to dismantle the British welfare state nor disarticulate the powerfull British Unions, fulfilling this way the neocon agenda dictated from the other side of the Atlantic by the Reaganomics of Milton Friedman
Being almost impossible to find a source in the net which does not support the Anglo point of view in English, I have no other option than to link a source in Spanish. Perhaps the curious readers here could find the time and find it interesting to translate it. ( Although there is a link below the title which seems to bring you to an English translation, the link does not work, at least for me )
It is a full analysis in the matter, including its historical background, and it includes not only this first article but others you could link at the end of this first one:
“Las causas de la guerra de Malvinas”

“The truth is always revolutionary”
@ Fatimah,
You are indeed correct that Thatcher “snatched a bloody victory from the jaws of a peaceful settlement” by starting a war in the Falklands to ensure her re-election when her government was failing.
Here is the trigger incident, a blatant provocation that later got whitewashed:
http://belgranoinquiry.com/
Fatima Manoubia, thank you. I hope you come back here to see that your comments have been useful. Thank you for the perspective on Argentina and the Falklands, the Malvinas.
I remember at the time not being deeply interested in politics but trying to understand the position of Argentina. I found it impossible to learn this from the news sources I was accustomed to using, in the United States. We saw only the British point of view, in the surface level of news.
It’s never too late to set the record straight. Thanks to you. And thanks very much to Helen for the link to the story of how in fact it was Britain that chose an act of war to distract from internal failure, not Argentina at all.
In this age we live in, as we see the propaganda lose all its power, shrivel and fall to the ground, it now comes as no surprise to learn that back in those days before the Internet, Thatcher secured her reelection through illegal warfare on a conciliatory state, to “snatch a bloody victory from the jaws of a peaceful settlement.”
ps..Helen, the cartoon at the site you link is priceless, the memorial statue of Thatcher, “carved from the living guano”.
Great interview.
However she did try to lure you into discussing the weaponising of space twice Saker. But you didn’t take the offer. Catherine Austin-Fitts has as she says spent her life trying to work out who runs the global financial thievery. She has also said in other interviews that $Trillions are simply missing from the economy. Her contacts have led her to give credence to the idea of a deep black ops secret space program that harvests money from the earth based economy. That space has been weaponised, that the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI aka “Star Wars”) was not shelved.
Next interview could you please explore these topics? Thanks.
@Peter from Oz
“Austin-Fitts has … spent her life trying to work out who runs the global financial thievery”
So what has she concluded?
She has a number of interviews that go straight down the rabbit hole and lead to outer space.
In some she explains how she gradually over time – to her initial incredulity – came to these hypotheses. When she was Assistant Secretary for Housing in GHWB admin she had her first high level tip off that the Deep State was funnelling many $Billions and no overt evidence of it being spent on the planet. The trail points up overhead.

Hi Moderator,
Peter
correction made as requested and subsequent suggestion noted. Thanks. mod-on-duty
I’m fascinated to see how things are getting intertwined. Never thought that Catherine Austin Fitts would ever interview Saker. I’ve looked at some of her youtube interviews and really enjoyed her line of thinking in regards to the US economy but her views on Russia were not particularly informed.
Saying that, I’m glad that there is an exchange and perhaps these are the signs that our community will continue to grow. Thank you!
In the transcript there are a couple places where Saker is responding that what he said was censored out. It appears it was names that got the chop.
On the subject of the harrassment and demonisation of Russia and Russians, this article describes the way Russian athletes are being systematically excluded from international sports events. This sort of very organised, yet very petty and childish behaviour is pure zionazism in practice.
Isinbayeva’s Coach: IAAF Decision is ‘Epitaph’ of Russian Athletics
http://sputniknews.com/sport/20160710/1042734726/russian-athletics-defamation.html
“According to the honored coach of Russia, the IAAF has set a target in every way to defame Russian athletics.
“IAAF wants by all means to denigrate the All-Russia Athletic Federation (ARAF) by all means available and unavailable. This is such an interesting move; allowing Klishina to compete, they want to thereby show that all other people are unclean,” Trofimov said.
d to compete only because she trains abroad. It has come to the point where they are beginning to make a decision on non-admission of even young athletes. “This is complete outrage, of course,” Trofimov said.
Moreover, the coach perceives the current situation as a political move.
“There is such a thing — an epitaph. An epitaph is a tombstone board. They are trying to organize epitaph of the Russian athletics. This is a political order. They are struggling using the most dishonest, dirty ways to stain Russian athletics,” — he said, noting that the international federation itself has become a “punitive damages agency” and it must be disbanded.
The coach further said that they behave like a “bull in a china shop” breaking everything they see.
They do not have the presumption of innocence. This is not normal. This is an attempt on human rights. This team worked with strenuous schedule. There was hope that justice will prevail – but it doesn’t exist here.”
“They cannot forgive the fact that our country is becoming stronger, more close-knit. They cannot forgive that. This is such a primitive manner of dealing with Russia. It is devoid of all kind of logic,” Trofimov said.
Also the coach said that most of the media incorrectly feeds information about the incident, leaving the impression that the entire Russian team except Klishina is “dirty.”
He said that is absurd to present information in such a manner.
Earlier in the day, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) ruled that Russian long jump athlete Darya Klishina can take part in international competitions, including the Rio Olympics, as a neutral contender.”
Russia’s resolve is being tested.
This has nothing to do with Sports and everything tov
I think the Saker had a point:

Behind the Wheel

The USA has “space weaponry?” She must be referring to the F-35! The reason it can’t fly in the atmosphere is because it’s really a space weapon that was disguised as a lowly fighter jet.
