I don’t know how many Sakerites watch CGTN but for the time I have it’s when it comes to reporting about Russia I have to double check if am watching BBC or CNN.
Their reporting on Russia is so horrible that I stopped watching it but the headlines, any sakerite can prove me wrong on this please
Their previous incarnation CCTV-9 was the same. It is like RT. The Liberal West’s view on things makes you wonder. But, they wanted to be accepted, so there is no hardline Beijing push except on domestic matters. Then, you get what the CCP wants.

When they do their own documentary things is their best work.
However, as President Xi has forced ideology onto every aspect of life, like Mao did, the quality of their work suffers.
You have to dig past the face of China pointed West to get their actual position. They know they need Russia badly in all aspects of survival: military, technology, food, water, gas and oil, and a lot of other commodities.
China may be ten times larger in economic measure, but they are totally dependent on Russia.
The QUAD and AUKUS would blockade them and they would shrivel back to what they were in 1990.
Russia is self-sufficient. China is dependent.
Back to CGTN. I like Liu Xin. She’s a very sharp interviewer, understands the West in micro detail, and has an open mind on many matters. She did an interesting dialogue with Trish Regan (Fox Business News) a few years back. She wanted to do more, but the US ‘talent’ was afraid. Now Trish is gone also.

There is another lady on CGTN (dont remember her name) and when watching her program is like watching any MSM channel.

The propagandized population in Canada has no way to determine the validity of the information presented by the CBC. There is no way for a discerning listener to challenge the bias, inference, fact, and judgment that is claimed by CBC to be authentic and objective, when only one narrative is presented as the facts. Every view has a counter view, and it’s from this principle that truth emerges. Canadian news media uses tax dollars to lie.
Democracy depends on citizens being informed, and since our media, especially television, reports mostly what the people in power do, and what the people in power want you to know, democracy becomes totalitarianism.
The public is badly informed by CBC reporting, where bias is relentless, and the narrative of NATO, and the Ukrainian produced information which could be created using the cell phone, which CBC never verifies but presents to us as news and facts. For example, the government’s political, economic, religious, military, ethnic, or social class point of view predominates in the news. Society is brainwashed, and absolute ignorance prevails on any topic of Russia.
Exactly the reason I don’t trust our media and got rid of my TV. I learned many years ago our congress & senate is corrupt, our news media was a propaganda arm of our government, and our political system was no longer a democracy. I trust Christ for truth, and all the rest are deceiver’s.
Chinese are still too accommodating to the US. This was Russia’s mistake for a while, a mistake that is being corrected. China will eventually find itself in the same position. After the special op is over in ukraine, the US will very likely stir up something with China using a proxy.
That accommodation of US began its end after Alaska summit last year. Since then Chinese upped the pressure several times. How much of that pressure is coordinated with Russia is a question.
