The unprecedented public response to the Charlie Hebdo shootings in France could be organized by those who want to stir anti-Islamic sentiment and distract people from other problems, claims the leader of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov.
The head of the Chechen Republic explained his position through his longtime medium of choice – the Instagram photo sharing service. In an extensive post accompanying a picture of himself Kadyrov said that he welcomed the “single-hearted” denouncing of terrorism by world leaders as well as the millions of people taking part in demonstrations in Paris. He also condemned the killing of unarmed people by terrorists and considered the fight against terrorism the most important task in his life.
At the same time Kadyrov posed a question. Was the denouncing aimed at terrorism only in France or were the public figures and people targeting the evil all over the World?
“Why the presidents, kings and prime ministers have never led marches of protest against the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Afghans, Syrians, Egyptians, Libyans, Yemenis, and Iraqis? Why did they remain silent when terrorists exploded a bomb in the Chechen government HQ or when they blew up the Grozny stadium killing Chechen President Akhmad-Haji Kadyrov [Ramzan Kadyrov’s father] and his aides? Why did they not react to the raid on the school in Beslan and the hostage taking at Moscow’s Dubrovka Theater? Why keep silent when in December last year terrorists captured the House of Press and a school in Grozny, killing and injuring over 50 people?”
Kadyrov writes in his latest address.
“It is impossible to secure Paris, London, Madrid and other European capitals if the whole society fails to condemn those who raise and sponsor terrorists all over the world masking it as support for opposition movements,”
Kadyrov stated.
The Chechen strongman wrote that he suspected some powerful forces of preparing the whole scenario in order to incite an anti-Islamic mood in Europe or to distract public attention from some brewing global problem.
A fervent believer in Islam, Kadyrov also wrote that he and his allies would not allow anyone to insult the Prophet, even if this would cost them their lives. “If we are still silent this does not mean that we cannot get millions of people onto the streets all over the world protesting against those who connive at the insults to Muslims’ religious feelings. Is this what you want?” he stated, apparently addressing the political leaders of the Western world.
The head of the Chechen republic also suggested the mass media had “allowed themselves to get involved in the scandal,” and should apologize to Muslims to end the controversy. “Peace and stability are more important for all peoples than the right of a handful of journalists to disrespect the Prophet,” he wrote.
Exactly. It’s a “War ON Terrorism” when being sold to a brain addled public, but in all other respects it’s really a “war of terrorism.” Just like ISIS morphs into the Free Syrian Army when John McCain visits.
Chechen leader and apology to Muslims.
My dentist is a Muslim and last week he was literally heart sick when I showed up for my appointment. He knows I am not religious at all and he inquired softly about this. I told him that I respected religion and did not agree with attacks on it and that it appeared that “attacking religion has become the new religion” He did manage a smile at this and we left it at that.
Saker: I start to see some of the purposes of this “Je suis Charlie” movement. Immediate: Increase surveillance of European citizens at all levels ie: check travel destinations, communication, opinions, ideas etc. that means towards Orwellian society. It seems 11/09 all over again but in Europe. Next step increase animosity against Islam among Europeans to justify continue military agression like for instance in the Middle East? Could it be that the Empire wants to change focus to an easier target than Russia?
I have experience with firearms and what we saw on the street outside of the Charlie Hebdo office was fraud. The assailants appeared to fire a control shot at close range. There is no blood, no damage to the pavement only a bang and a puff of white smoke, indicative of a blank cartridge.
The bullet of a 7.62x39mm cartridge has a mass of 123 grains and is moving at over 2000 feet per second. There would have been a significant amount of blood from a close range shot and the bullet would have exited the body and hit the pavement.
Kadyrov is a righteous man and so is everyone else who stands up to this collectivist fraud. World leaders are hesitant to state that the entire event was false, even those who know what it was. I don’t blame them, but the truth is right in front of our faces.
The masses in Europe will not march for the righteous dead, the only way to get them out in the street is with made for TV martyrs. They will never understand true pain and suffering until they are forced to live it as their ancestors did. Even then, many would still refuse to accept the truth.
I pity those who do not understand but I must also fear them, for they are the useful idiots that perpetuate the system.
Well spoken, Mr. Kadyrov!
(http://www.liberation.fr/politiques/2015/01/09/il-n-y-a-rien-de-plus-dangereux-aujourd-hui-que-de-renvoyer-les-gens-a-leur-communaute_1177338)
Is Offenstadt the only sane person left in France?
If the struggle was easy….
Saker, Mr. Kadyrov, Edward Snowden, Assange, Chelsea Manning, Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, Noam Chomsky, Dieudonné, Vladimir Putin, Novorossyan Partisans, Prometheus, do I need a verb?
To swim against the tide (of imperialist hypocrisy), even as The Minority of One.

Its possible that the Anglos want to fight both Islam and Russia at the same time.
A Zionist Schiefflen type plan perhaps. Cant imagine it would work any better than the original.

It is a Gogle trans of your post .not good, but readable ,just.

Do you consider that the Republic preserves excluding the Front or the nation will strengthen to march united?
In all the mobilizations that will take place, the real challenge, much heavier than the presence or absence of the FN, is to avoid sharing the emotion with Islamophobic fringes of our society. This event is one element of this issue, which became central to the political agenda. We see how, for some time, rising ominously factory of an issue “identity”, which Islam is part fantasy. The duty of the Republic is to avoid creating divisions and spread of fantasies about Islam. Look at the number of people applying to movements that have nothing to do, directly or indirectly, with the drama Charlie, to justify himself. There is nothing more dangerous today than sending people to their community, to assign this single identity. The fundamental challenge for Sunday walks as above is that the Republic preserves of any Islamophobic speech. A fortiori when claims of national unity.
The universally shared emotion after the attack in “Charlie” Does it justify that everyone participates in the Sunday parade?
Everyone is shocked, and how not to be, for what happened. On this issue, the consensus is easy to find. But in a political situation, we must prioritize the issues. And one that is fundamental for the cohesion of society, for the lowering of tension and violence, it is not the degree of emotion of public, emotions that we have, moreover, that the speech in a public place and that therefore a part of social construction. Careful. With Islamophobic acts in recent days, although the challenge we see – beyond the fact that it is of course necessary to ensure public safety – is to maintain the relationship in a society by refusing to designate the logic of goats by emissaries assigned identity.
The fact that it is the parties who had initially taken hold of the Paris march Sunday – Manuel Valls inviting Nicolas Sarkozy and offering a breach in Marine Le Pen who asked to be as well – did he not at fault?
Many parties have the right to call for protests, but to say what? What we want to tell this work? If it is to condemn these appalling acts and filthy, I feel that everyone already agrees that the cause is acquired. A demonstration, for me, it makes sense when there is a form of tension, a request. It’s a pity that the parade is a sacred union around the reinsurance of a fictitious unit, with no clear objective manifestation, because I’m afraid that then passes next to an important opportunity to provide a message which reinforces the Republic. The risk would be to see the peripheral speech grafted in a cacophony where everyone would assert a different struggle. This would appear to be great confusion.
If the issue is not to give a platform to Islamophobic words to the dangerous impact, it goes beyond the FN …
Indeed, Islamophobia is not exclusive of the FN, even if the party keeps a singularity in the matter. Basically, the main risk for Sunday’s event is that it allows for stigmatizing and exclusionary words to express themselves in a national unity framework claimed. One can imagine strong positions behind which the FN had himself decided not to scroll.

RT not all bad!
I don’t know if this has been commented on here before, but the seemingly split personality of the Russia guv is deliberate. People like Putin and Lavrov give the “official” view, the diplomatic view, while people like Kadyrov and Rogozin present the real politic view. Both views are a necessary part of the Russian guv.

The translation is readable, yes. Thanks.
@slo mo. Russia and Islam at the same time. Well, there is an astrological stress line up through Teheran and headed north according to those who do World Astrology.
It appears that Spring-Summer will be at maximum stress.
The Russians should at least plug that hole and up their communications, mutual border surveillance etc.with the Iranians.

“RT not all bad!”
The story itself was good, EXCEPT for the term “strongman” used in describing Kadyrov. Now while it is true he’s a strong leader.Any English speaker knows the implied meaning of that word. The Western press would never say as an example, “the American strongman Obama” when talking of the President of the US.That is the same thing as the way, in the West, when talking of governments they don’t like they use “Regime” instead of government. You won’t see the Western media say as an example “the French regime called for this march”.At RT in English, they should be aware of the way English words are used. And I think some 5th columnists there are aware of it, and are doing a bit of subtle anti-Russian propaganda. They need to be purged from RT before they do real damage.
Uncle Bob
It seems the French paper Le Monde objects to Lavrov being there. They said they didn’t like Russia’s record on press freedom. After I stopped laughing about that.Considering the leaders that were there.I remembered tweets I saw that had a rundown on part of them.
From Daniel Wickham (not pro-Russian BTW):
“So here are some of the staunch defenders of the free press attending the solidarity rally in Paris today”… King Abdullah of Jordan, which last year sentenced a Palestinian journalist to 15 years in prison with hard labour, Prime Minister Davutoglu of Turkey, which imprisons more journalists than any other country in the world, Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel, whose forced killed 7 journalists in Gaza last yr (second highest after Syria), Foreign Minister Shoukry of Egypt, which as well as AJ staff has detained journalist Shawkan for around 500 days,Foreign Minister Lamamra of Algeria, which has detained journalist Abdessami Abdelhai for 15 months without charge, The Foreign Minister of the UAE, which in 2013 held a journo incommunicado for a month on suspicion of MB links, Prime Minister Jomaa of Tunisia, which recently jailed blogger Yassine Ayan for 3 years for “defaming the army”,The PMs of Georgia and Bulgaria, both of whom have a record of attacking & beating journos,The Attorney General of the US, where police in Ferguson have recently detained and assaulted WashPost reporters, Prime Minister Samaras of Greece, where riot police beat & injured two journalists at a protest in June last year, Sec-Gen of NATO, who are yet to be held to account for deliberately bombing and killing 16 Serbian journos in ’99, President Keita of Mali, where journalists are expelled for covering human rights abuses, The Foreign Minister of Bahrain, 2nd biggest jailer of journos in the world per capita (they also torture them),Sheikh Mohamed Ben Hamad Ben Khalifa Al Thani of Qatar, which jailed a man for 15 ys for writing the Jasmine poem,Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, who had several journalists jailed for insulting him in 2013,Prime Minister Cerar of Slovenia, which sentenced a blogger to six months in prison for “defamation” in 2013, Prime Minister Enda Kenny of Ireland, where “blasphemy” is considered a criminal offense,Prime Minister Kopacz of Poland, which raided a magazine to seize recordings embarrassing for the ruling party,PM Cameron of the UK, where authorities destroyed documents obtained by The Guardian and threatened prosecution,Saudi ambassador to France. The Saudis publicly flogged blogger @raif_badawi for “insulting Islam” on Friday”
And he even missed including Poroshenko in this rogues gallery.A serious omission in my book.
Uncle Bob
@ Uncle Bob…Excellent point on the word “regime” & “strongman” used by the West when they hate a government or a leader.

@Anon
Considering Frenches pray for a leader with spine, and Americans pray for a leader with spine and intelligence, and Germans pray for similar things, i figure “strongman” is a compliment…
@ Saker, :) your temper is too big towards Serbs! They as a norm have a really bad temper, but you too, and that sometimes result in bad things >.<
Yesterday I mourn the falling of France. I highly doubt from today onwards, there will be anymore independence of France, and all its actions will probably be dictated by the hegemony…
If our dear Hollande had as much spine as Kadyrov, this won't happen in France… Maybe the terrorist attack will still happen, but France won't fall, there are plenty more ways…
They dared to pour dirty water unto Hollande, saying that he asked Israeli Premier not to go to the March. It shows how much control they have… sigh.

“I’m an atheist, so for me, the offense of blasphemy does not exist”
I’m an atheistic ignostic (with an i). Yet for me blasphemy does exist because there ae things I hold ‘sacred’. Even though I don’t think there is ‘God’ as such, I suspect there is a spiritual aspect to reality.
But even if not, there are still ‘sacred’ things: truth, honor, love, goodness, justice, respect for knowledge, people and other living things, and even for the inanimate world, etc. — the values and processes which are critical to holding our world together and making existence bearable for us.
One does not need belief in god or a spiritual realm to understand and value morality, and some sense of morality is not even unique to humans. Socrates in Euthyphro covered this long ago.
It is perfectly possible to be moral not because of fear of or awe of a god, but just because it’s the ‘right thing to do’. At the same time, I see no shortage of ‘god fearing’ people who consistently do utterly awful things, and are steeped in hypocrisy.

When white innocents are murdered it is a tragedy. Their lives mean more. Call it Euro exceptionalism
Saker,
So what is the reality concerning Ramzan Kardyrov? From recent videos posted here and on some other media sites my first impression is he is an admirable, moral, and spiritual leader. A very astute military leader who realistically analyzes situations making the kind of quick informed decisions necessary to accomplish a goal or mission. A leader who cares deeply for his nation and fellow real Muslims.
Then there are the accusations, not only in western media, of unbridled corruption, disappearing and murdering rivals, directing a torture apparatus personally, and all other matter of inhumane behavior.
Is there a semblance of truth to the accusations. Does he personally direct death squads who are charged with intimidation and worse? Or is he a very serious leader who wishes to eradicate enemies of humanity and Islam?
so people out demonstrating enmasse for freedom of speech had a problem with this reporter’s freedom of speech:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2906539/Calls-BBC-reporter-resign-told-daughter-Holocaust-survivors-Paris-Palestinians-suffer-hugely-Jewish-hands-well.html
Now this kind of bias (below) is blasphemous, especially coming from an organization representing journalists and which is “devoted to providing material, financial and psychological assistance to journalists assigned to dangerous areas”. How could they forget those who died just last year? How could they forget to list the leaders of the very countries these journalists died in?
**
Reporters Without Borders welcomes the participation of many foreign leaders in today’s march in Paris in homage to the victims of last week’s terror attacks and in defence of the French republic’s values, but is outraged by the presence of officials from countries that restrict freedom of information.
On what grounds are representatives of regimes that are predators of press freedom coming to Paris to pay tribute to Charlie Hebdo, a publication that has always defended the most radical concept of freedom of expression?
Reporters Without Borders is appalled by the presence of leaders from countries where journalists and bloggers are systematically persecuted such as Egypt (which is ranked 159th out of 180 countries in RWB’s press freedom index), Russia (148th), Turkey (154th) and United Arab Emirates (118th).
“We must demonstrate our solidarity with Charlie Hebdo without forgetting all the world’s other Charlies,” Reporters Without Borders secretary-general Christophe Deloire said.
“It would be unacceptable if representatives of countries that silence journalists were to take advantage of the current outpouring of emotion to try to improve their international image and then continue their repressive policies when they return home. We must not let predators of press freedom spit on the graves of Charlie Hebdo.”
The authorities have announced the presence of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Egyptian foreign minister Sameh Shoukry, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, Algerian foreign minister Ramtane Lamamra, UAE foreign minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Gabonese President Ali Bongo.

They delight in how they are able to bully their quislings, and especially delight in publicly humiliating them them afterwards.
This is the behaviour of complete and total cowards.

Yes, I really agree that Muslims should get an apology. I think this would diffuse the hostilities on both sides….Islam should become part of every school room…the true Islam. this would be a remedy for fundamentalist Islam. Also Christianity should become part of a good school program…not fundamentalist …
I disagree with what you say but I will fight to death for your right to say it . VOLTAIRE
this is why the French are marching.
not because they read or like or agree with Charlie Hebdo.
not because 12 deaths is more than thousands of yours
How could you miss this point.
the political grabbing of the event is irrelevant.
Oh !!! And THANK YOU SAKER, for educating me on this important leader of Chechnya.
where else would any of us (or at least…most of us) have learned about Chechnya ???

I don’t agree….its pretty bad. Don’t even go there anymore.
Russian PR is pathetic really. Where is their outreach to Greece to rescue their fellow Orthodox Christians from EU diktat and Merkel repression?
@Anon 04:59
Just in case you are blind, I would like to remind you of their absurd lack of freedom of speech on anything other than laughing at Muslims or world leaders. Oh more accurately, anything related to Jews or Judaism.
Tim Willcox had to apologise for asking a Jewish lady a very real question just 2 days ago.
In 2009, a cartoonist was fired from Charlie for making jokes about Judaism.
How many people had been blasted for calling Charlie stupid?
It’s not a march against terrorism or for freedom of speech.
It’s a march allowing them to be assholes to whoever they deem should be and be absolutely safe for it.
How’s that freedom of speech? They are just filthy HYPOCRITES or brainwashed zombies, nothing else.
And you are too.

I would like to respond to people criticising RT. I am Russian living in the UK. RT is free here to everyone, and everyone can get it. RT is the only island of sanity on TV, which is full of trash. It is a lifeline to all progressively inclined people, as it is the ONLY alternative view on the world events on TV.
Now, I know you are frustrated about RT being not 100% consistent at pomoting what most of us here belive. Now consider again. Do you know how many lawsuits does RT have to deal with at the same time here in the UK? Do you know that the local pundits have been trying to close it down for years? Check this out – it is true. They closed PressTV allright. Do you realise that one reckless step and RT will be closed? The easiest way to close something down by law is to prove they insight extremism/terrorism. With the twisted minds of the government here, it will be dead easy to close RT if they started saying “I am not Charlie”.
Pick your battles wisely. RT is picking their battles wisely. It is much more important that they stay open and tell the world about things, rather than take one stance and lose everything for which they worked so hard.
It is OK for one person to risk everything for truth (but look what happened to Saker’s site because of this),but it is not OK for a channel that has invested so much money to establish itself to get closed down for one thing. What about all those wonderful journalists who work there?
So, be fair to RT. Please.
Наше дело правое. Победа будет за нами.
The Chechen leader made some very valid points in this article.Well said. For the one who said that Russian public relations is either an ignorant American or a Russian who is a traitor to their country and believes in the evils of the West.

Yeah anon I agree that RT show Crosstalk is good, and Pepe Escobar is good, and I like that senior woman…Naoui I think is her last name. but I don’t like the coverage of Charlie.
I think RT has changed….don’t you agree, or do you think its forever and ever ok, because it once was ?
Its changed.
The Anon who was defending RT is just saying, don’t throw out the baby with the bathwater.
