Dear friends,
I just wanted to thank you all for the huge response you gave to my appeal yesterday. Not only did donations come in as never before, you also gave me extremely valuable advice (in both public comments and private emails). You have also pointed out some mistakes I have made in the past which I shall not repeat again.
In the very near future, I will write up a response and a plan for the future which I think you will be very happy with. Right now I need to deal with more urgent matters – including some possibly very serious developments in the Ukraine – but I just wanted to thank you all: the miracle of “spontaneous self-organization of people” has happened again and our community – you – are nothing short of absolutely fantastic!!
Kindest regards and thanks to all,
The Saker
Do you confirm that Voentorg is up in full shturm mode again?
Hello,
As for your support efforts, I would suggest some regular offering like a podcast for a small amount of money. For example, a monthly podcast for $10 a month, on a subscription basis (for example Paypal automatic monthly billing). It would have an element of a “donation,” but people would also be getting something of real value, for a modest amount. This is a format that your supporters might really get behind. You can also offer a lot by, essentially, summarizing your views on things, thus condensing your expertise and full-time involvement into an easily-digestible format.

Maybe you can make a list of “regional/national/city contact points” where there would be a main person/core group organising the local mini-community. People could volunteer by email to you to be that contact and you could expand the list every now and then… It would be interesting to see The Saker world map in this way :)
Hi,
Is it possible to donate bitcoin, and if so at what address?
http://antifashist.com/item/istreblenie-donbassa-peremirie-po-fashistski-18.html feeling terrible sending this link….the lunatics must be thrown in a stone crusher

I just sent $100 in cash by US mail. I’d rather support them than Amazon or Paypal.
I support most of what you’re up to but not all. The saker idea is a problem for me. A bird of prey and a pet of human hunters? A military cannon and a silencer made by a gun company?
The new logo of a falcon holding arrows? To me they look like fascii without the ax. I like strength but violence against the weaker?
And then I hear the Saker has a pet saker. And we wonder why we are made pets.
These are hard things to hear but they undermine good actions by unconscious mechanisms using images and loaded language which causes endless problems.
If what I say is too hard to bear, just delete me. It’s OK. I understand. It just makes me sad.
@thelovegovernment.com: I just sent $100 in cash by US mail. I’d rather support them than Amazon or Paypal.
Thanks a lot, and I feel likewise.
A bird of prey and a pet of human hunters? A military cannon and a silencer made by a gun company?
No. A special type of particularly beautiful and rather non-aggressive falcon which comes from the Middle-East, Central Asia and Southern Russia. As any falcon, it has a terrific eyesight and keeps an careful watch on what is happening on the ground.
The new logo of a falcon holding arrows?
I don’t disagree. This might have to change. Thanks for the comment.
And then I hear the Saker has a pet saker.
Nonsense. But I do have 4 dogs and a cat: a German shepherd (rescue), a Belgian shepherd (Groenendael), a Cairn terrier (rescue) and a wonderful mutt (a rescue we got literally half-dead). The cat is a Maine Coon and Russian Blue mix (also a rescue). But no birds, not even a pet Saker Falcon :-(
Cheers,
The Saker
Thanks for the clarification of my confusion. I can now live with and enjoy the image of a free saker soaring over Mother Russia, keeping her free as well.
wonderful news about the response. Just stay healthy and solvent, then all things are possible. When you get your plans put together, I look forward to the way to send you an automatic monthly subscription :)
also, incorporate in Delaware so that your identity can remain hidden, and it will make it easier to have credit cards, cheques, etc. it’s pretty cheap, only a few hundred dollars.
Russian Blues are the best family cat I’ve seen, and Maine Coons are interesting. A great mix. You’re lucky.
re: how antiwar.com does it: Keep asking for money/aid now and then because sometimes people who can only give sparingly will be able to at least respond to one of your requests with something! now and then.
Thank you so much for your work.
Hi Saker,
Great to hear the response you have had. A great example of honest open communication! Just to add my cents worth… I would like to contribute to this forum by way of monthly donation. The easiest way for me as have many other contributors identified, would be by way of an automatic (if modest) monthly donation. As has been pointed out a few hundred/thousand small monthly donations would translate into – well – a secure amount you could rely on!
I would much prefer this approach rather than having paid for (hence elite) sections of your blog.
One of the things I particularly value about this blog is the feeling of honesty and genuineness in person to person communication. As seen again in your sharing your problems with the Saker community. Ultimately, its an ‘our’ problem not a ‘your’ problem.
Looking forward to hearing about the solutions!
@Saker
Your description of a saker reminded me of a poem of Gerard Manley Hopkins entitled The Windhover, subtitled To Christ our Lord. He said it was the best thing he wrote:
“I caught this morning morning’s minion, king-
dom of daylight’s dauphin, dapple-dawn-drawn Falcon, in his riding
Of the rolling level underneath him steady air, and striding
High there, how he rung upon the rein of a wimpling wing
In his ecstasy! then off, off forth on swing,
As a skate’s heel sweeps smooth on a bow-bend: the hurl and gliding
Rebuffed the big wind. My heart in hiding
Stirred for a bird,–the achieve of; the mastery of the thing!
“Brute beauty and valour and act, oh, air, pride, plume, here
Buckle! AND the fire that breaks from thee then, a billion
Times told lovelier, more dangerous, O my chevalier!
“No wonder of it: sheer plod makes plough down sillion
Shine, and blue-bleak embers, ah my dear,
Fall, gall themselves, and gash gold-vermillion.”
The lines are off due to the cramped format but I think the effect carries. A falcon of freedom is a stirring emblem.
Regarding donations, I think it’s a habit or none habit for many, including me. To better achieve a better thermal effect for sakers (snowball effect for cold climes) I acknowledge myself here, as I did above, for recognizing value received. If every third comment did this for donations right here out in the open, I believe we’d see a nice thermal (or snowball) effect. I dislike the automatic, mechanical devices because they rob me not just of money, but the pleasure of sending cash in a handwritten envelope. But each to his or her own. Money will flow like sweet water when we prime the pump with love.
One more thought: Jesus acknowledged the widow’s copper penny equivalent as being more than the rich man’s gold because she gave from her heart while he gave to get.
Happy to hear about such a welcoming response.
As someone suggested, you may try following antiwar.com or counterpunch examples which set a monthly go and the public can see how much is missing each month to reach the level required for maintaining the operations. Some people do not like supporting Bilderbergers’ enterprises like PayPal so bitcoin or some other similar independent currency system should be considered.
I also suggest carrying some “propaganda” merchandize: tshirts, cups, glasses, hats, caps, bumper stickers, plates et. al. with logos, signs supporting your site and the cause.
I’m curious what really needs to be fixed with the new blog and what’s the estimate for completing that task. Thanks for your incredible, invaluable and irreplaceable contribution to the global struggle against the Commonwealth of Evil.
Best wishes!
Saker, I just made a $100 donation to your site. I know it isn’t much, but it’s all I can afford to part with at the moment.
I have been following your site for months now, and the analysis, insights and personal reactions you have given us are worth MANY TIMES the paltry donation I can offer you. We thank you so much for your hard work, honesty and devotion.
And yes, Saker, you ARE making a difference.
God bless you, and slava rossiya!
I hope for the opportunity to make voluntary recurring monthly donations through paypal, bitcoin, or whatever is easy. I use paypal all the time, corporate or not. It is easy and reliable. I concur with the view that a small amount donated monthly by a large number of people will amount to a useful sum for you. I do this with PCR and Infowars and have done same for years with others, such as Global Research and DemocracyNOW!.
Saker:
Here’s a page from ActivistPost that just posted that might be worth a quick look:
6 Days Left for Our Fundraiser!
If you click ‘Click HERE to Support Us!’ in red at the link above, you’ll see they’ve raised $9316 in 39 days (at the time of this writing) using Indiegogo.
Also, while there, you might note this comment and the response from the site.
One of us wrote that AntiWar.com brings in $400,000 per year ($100,000 at each quarterly fundraiser). I’ve seen these; they take over the entire top of the home page and just keep pleading until their thermometer (if I recall correctly) hits the goal.
I’m sure you’d not enjoy this, but if that’s the best option, four times yearly, to get the job done…
I’ve never noted the exact time of each quarterly fundraiser, but I suppose if you decided to go this route prior to their next quarterly fundraiser an internet archive could be used to access those pages to view their scripts.
