This article was written for the Unz Review: http://www.unz.com/tsaker/could-russia-still-become-an-ally-of-the-west/
Listening to Donald Trump speaking about his desire to turn Russia into an ally, I caught myself wondering if that was even still a possibility. After all, “the West” – and by that I mean every single western politician – has been lying to Russia ever since the fall of the Soviet Union. Not only has the West lied to Russia (for example on the promise to to expand NATO), but the West has also back-stabbed Russia and fully sided with the most vicious and evil enemies of Russia including the Wahabis in Chechnia or the Nazis in the Ukraine. The West assembled a huge air force to mercilessly and illegally to bomb the Serbs, a historical ally of Russia and fellow Orthodox people, in Croatia, then in Bosnia, then in Kosovo and then even in Montenegro and Serbia proper. The West also illegally and brutally overthrew Gaddafi in direct violation of UNSC Resolutions and now, having laid waste to Libya (and Iraq!), the West is trying to repeat this performance with Syria. In the case of the Ukraine, the West stood by while the Ukronazis used every single weapon in their arsenal, including chemical weapons, ballistic missiles, heavy artillery, multiple rocket launchers, cluster munitions and bombers against the cities of the Donbass and then imposed sanctions, no, not on Kiev, but on Russia. And even when the Ukronazis burned over 100 civilians in Odessa, the West fully backed them again. Before the Olympic Games in Sochi, the West then unleashed its “homo lobby” and its “pussy rioters” to try to paint Russia as some kind of quasi-Saudi society while never even uttering a single word of criticism against what was really taking place in the real Saudi Arabia, a close ally of the “indispensable nation”. And when Turkey ambushed a Russian bomber which had given its full flight plan to the US and then shot it down, the West had no more to say about it then when the local al-Qaeda franchise in Egypt bombed a Russian airliner. In its latest manifestation of rabid russophobia, the West, lead by the US Now Secretary of State Kerry, is demanding the release by Russia of a rabid Nazi deathsquad member accused of murdering 2 Russian journalists, Nadezhda Savchenko. Most amazingly, Kerry is claiming that Russia is violating her obligations under the Minks-2 Agreement by judging Savchenko even though Russia is not a party to this agreement which has nothing to say about Savchenko’s case anyway. We can be pretty sure that if the Devil himself decided to appear somewhere in the USA or Europe and declared that he wanted to fight Russia, the West would give Satan full support, money, training, recognition, etc.
Considering all of this, one could reasonably assume that anti-western feelings have reached a boiling point in Russia and that Russia will never again be an ally for the West.
But that would be very wrong.
What is true is that most Russian look at the West with a sense of disgust, but “most Russians” are not sitting in the Kremlin. Russian decision-makers are first and foremost pragmatists, they understand that ruffled feathers and hurt feelings are not the kind of things which should define policies. Furthermore, whatever their feelings about western politicians, Russian leaders fully understand that Russia is still the weaker party in any confrontation with West and that it would be highly desirable to restore some kind of working relationship with the West. Please notice that I said “highly desirable”, but not “necessary” or “vital”. Russia is ready to struggle through a long period of “warm warfare” against the West, if needed, but that hardly means that this is good for Russia. In fact, the core principle of Russian foreign policy has been expressed by both by Lavrov and Putin on many occasions in the past. It goes something like this: “we need to turn our enemies into neutrals, neutrals into partners, partners into friends and our friends into allies”. This might seem rather self-evident until you contrast this with the AngloZionist position which can be summarized as such: “we need to turn everybody into our slaves”.
Now ask yourself this: how exactly could the Russians do to turn enemies into neutrals, etc.? I submit that the only way to achieve such a result is to work with somebody, with some political forces, inside the West and to help them move the West in the right direction. The Russians are most unlikely to achieve their goal if they just lump every single western politician into a “our enemy” category. What the Russians need to do is to identify those individuals or political forces in the West which are the most likely to be interested in some (or even many) forms of cooperation with Russia. Hence the recent contacts with the European far-right parties (such as the National Front in France).
Okay, but why would any western politician or political force be interested in cooperating with Russia? Would that not be a huge liability in the generally russophobic West? Would the opponents of such a cooperation not denounce it as a sign of “weakness” and a “sell-out”? Last but not least, what does Russia have to offer to such a political figure or political force?
Let’s take those step by step.
First, I would not exaggerate the russophobia of the West. If we are speaking about the elites, then yes, they are generally rabidly russophobic. But the common people? Much less so, I think. And those who are do so because they are conditioned by the media to view Russia with fear, but is a superficial feeling which can be reversed by common sense and self-interest. Will the opponents of any such cooperation denounce it? Yes, of course, that is to be expected, but whether this attack will be successful or not will depend on the outcome of such a cooperation. Thus the key question is what does Russia have to offer?
A lot, in fact.
First and foremost, if some a not anti-Russian politician or political force comes to power in any western country, Russia can make darn sure that he/she gets, shall we say, “most favorite” status, meaning that in any negotiations Russia will have a stake in contributing to a political success for that individual or party. The obvious example: Trump becomes the next POTUS and offers to Russia a real partnership do deal with Daesh, not only in Syria but also in Iraq. I would argue that Russia would have a huge stake into “delivering” this objective to Trump as the best way to silence the anti-Russian forces inside the USA. Another example: a EU national leader breaks ranks with the Eurocracy and decides to unilaterally lift the sanctions against Russia. At this point Russia would have a huge interest in rewarding such a move by offering many lucrative contracts to this country on a preferential basis.
Paradoxically, one of the countries which would stand to benefit most from such a scenario would be Turkey. Not Erdogan’s Turkey, of course. The Kremlin has effectively “Shaakashvilized” Erdogan and his future now looks bleak, to say the least. But imagine if the Turkish military decided to overthrow Erdogan and immediately call Moscow with a simple message: “help us and we will help you!” Just imagine what Russia could do to assist a port-Erdogan Turkey:
First and foremost, play the role of an honest broker between Ankara and the Kurds, in a way similar to what the USA tried to do in northern Ireland. Russia could “bring in” Syria, Iraq and Iran and make some kind of push for a “comprehensive deal” with the various Kurdish parties.
Russia could literally kick-start the Turkish economy not only by allowing the Turks to re-enter the lucrative Russia market (construction, agriculture, tourism, etc.) but also by offering the Turks a range of cooperation deals not only in Russia, but also outside Russia (Latin America, Asia). At the very least Russia could reopen the “gates of tourism” and single handedly kick-start resort business. Potentially, an Ankara-Moscow axis of cooperation could be most useful to both countries, even if the historical record mainly shows already 12 wars between the two countries.
Right now Erdogan is in a terrible situation and nobody can help him, least of all the Saudis or the US. As long as he remains in power, Russia will completely ignore him. But the Russians are not stupid, they know that Turkey is an enemy whereas what they need is for Turkey to be at the very least a reliable partner. This is why Putin will work with anybody except Erdogan to fix this bloody mess.
Right now the West is “confronting” Russia everywhere, from the Arctic waters to the Pacific – but this begs the question of who really needs that?! Is that not a huge waste of resources and efforts when working with Russia could be so much more beneficial? This state of affairs is even more grotesque when we consider that the one and only reason for the current “tepid war” with Russia is AngloZionist imperial hubris whose prime directive remains “we need to turn everybody into our slaves”. This is exactly what Putin meant when he replied to a question suggesting that the USA wanted to humiliated Russia and said “You said that the USA want to humiliate us. This is not the case. They do not want to humiliate us, they want to subjugate us, they want to solve their problems at our expense, to submit us to their influence. Never has anyone done this in history in relation to Russia and no one ever will”. It is this maniacal insistence on subjugating every nation on the planet coupled with a total inability to cooperate on a mutually respectful basis which has brought us to the edge of a thermonuclear war between Russia and the USA. This is a purely ideological problem which does not have any objective basis in reality.
Listening to Trump, I get the feeling that there are clearly some folks in the USA who do not suffer from that kind of megalomania and who are much more interested in getting things done rather than sacrificing it all in the name of some kind of (unsustainable) “indispensable nation” status. The Europeans are willing to be governed by the AngloZionist “deep state”, but only as long as this kind of collaborationism does not result in massive waves of refugees, crime and poverty. Already major politicians, such as Sarkozy and Berlusconi, are breaking ranks and more and more people are wondering whether it was a good idea to engage Russia in a “tepid war”, especially in support of a Nazi coup in Kiev.
I think that it is highly likely that this process of “realization” will only accelerate. JFK once said, paraphrasing Tacitus, that “victory has 100 fathers and defeat is an orphan”. The utter failure to successfully confront Russia in the Ukraine, Syria or elsewhere will soon begin to generate many “denials of paternity” and a rush to embrace a far more promising policy of collaboration with Russia.
[Sidebar: when that happens I will look with a definite sense of glee and even Schadenfreude the the Baltic States and Central European countries who fancied themselves as an important and attractive “ally” for the West against Russia only to realize that neither the West nor Russia give a damn about them].
Whatever the outcome of the US Presidential election, I think that Trump’s statement that he wanted to work with Putin and Russia already gives him a competitive advantage over his opponents. He put very simply: “what do we need problems for?!”. He is absolutely correct, of course.
Historically, Russia’s relation with the West has been a “difficult one”. You probably know that the Soviet Union was under various western sanctions for most of its existence. But did you know that was also the case for pre-1917 Czarist Russia which also spent decades under various sanctions for all sort of spurious pretexts? In fact, ever since 1242 and the so-called “Northern Crusade” of Pope Gregory IX the West has been trying to subjugate Russia under some ideological pretext (Papism, Revolutionary Freemasonery, Nazism, Capitalism, etc.). But there is no inevitability in this, no objective reason for this never-ending confrontation. As long as the leaders of the West could delude themselves about being the “bearers of civilization” entrusted by God to civilize and convert everybody on the planet to their brand of “Christianity” the conflict was probably inevitable. But right now the AngloZionists have really brought down what used to be called the “western civilization”, like a parasite kills his host, while countries such as Russia or China are, for the first time in centuries, breaking out of their subservient status. This will be a long, and dangerous, process, but the writing is on the wall. Those in the West who will have the wisdom to see this writing and who will find the courage to renounce exceptionalism will be able to use it to their advantage. As for the Russians, they will to steadfastly continue to refuse to submit to the Empire while waiting for new partners to appear. Even if this is a long wait.

spot on .
What is true is that most Russian look at the West with a sense of disgust, but “most Russians” are not sitting in the Kremlin.
this statement is applicable to many people and nations who have been wronged By the Indispensable nation.
also Trump has been gaining some traction in last few weeks. hope he turns out to be pragmatic .

What Trump Means for Israel

Kind Regards.
Of course! And Russia will. all that is needed is a regime change in the west, from PC-fascism to traditionalism.. And that is already happning in all of the west, from Sweden with SD, to Germany with Afd, to France with Marine Le Pen, to UK with Farege, even to USA with Trump.
Within a few years the old virulently anti-Russian PC-fascist regimes in the west will be replaced by pro-Russian traditionalist governments.
That is why the current anti-Russian regimes are kicking up the anti-Russian craziness.. They know, that within 5 years, their time might be up. And European brotherhood will spread, instead of European conflict.
We’ll see what happens later on Sunday in Germany

With Koch bros supporting Trump don’t bank on fascism turning to traditionalism in US.
They dont support him, they just said he would probably win.
Hang in there peace lovers- the Trump Train is rolling over the Bildeburgs as we type!
Wishful thinking Liz. Pigs might fly.
The logic of capitalism is ever expanding exploitation and monopoly, hence GDP increases ad infinitum and that leads to subjugation and oppression.
As to the eurocabal now in charge they are a venal, spineless coterie of treasonous nincompoops incapable of running a chook coop.
About time Bastille 2 be re-enacted, for real, including the guillotine.

Saker,
As always, a deeper analysis, which looks towards a positive outcome. Which is possible. My only difference of opinion, is that the problem with the West is not ideological or even theological. Both of which I see as ‘cover stories’ for a much deeper issue. That is spiritual.
As is beyond dispute, the West has for the last 500 years, engaged in wholesale genocide, slavery and exploitation. The democratic revolution, which was fueled by the sentiments of Tom Paine and Ben Franklin, spoke against Authority and a self appointed Elite, especially in the name of the spurious ideology of the Divine Right of Kings.
The American revolution was won on the back and blood of the common people, and after a few years, the Articles of Confederation was subverted in a counter coup. Basically, the people who fought for democracy were disenfranchised with the enactment of the current Constitution, which was written by and for oligarchs. 95% of the population was denied the right to vote, and their cry of ‘no taxation without representation’ was thrown under the bus, with the common people bamboozled into paying off the failed Continental Dollar. With new taxes targeting them–a forerunner of the 2008 bailout.
This was followed by the genocide of the Indians, enslavement of Africans, which stopped only due to the ‘higher priority’ of the Northern Industrialists….
Colonialism and imperialism have been the hallmark of US foreign policy from the get go. Like a cancer, that lives on fresh healthy tissue, US influence has spread first over the lower part of North American, then the Spanish American War, genocide of Philippines, numerous other invasions.
So Russia should not take US malevolence personally, it is just a projection of the deep spiritual cancer that lies at the heart of the Western colonialist/imperialist experience. I personally don’t think it is based on religion but rather religion is used as a rationalization of fundamental greed, hate, arrogance, and so on.
There are three ways for it to end–and while I would agree that there are positive forces in the US and the West, they have always been coopted or suppressed.
So one way is for the US to develop some spiritual maturity, perhaps like the Vikings who over 1000 years developed into societies like Sweden and Norway and Denmark, which, for whatever their faults, the darker side of those societies has been overshadowed by the ‘angels of their better nature.’
Not so the USA, or FUKUS or Israel. So the other possibility is either internal collapse, when the cancer is met with antibodies in the rest of the world.
Or, the third, radical chemotherapy and radiation finally exorcise the cancer. That radiation is not of course figurative, if the US leadership actually thinks it can pull off the cancerous take over of Russia. They almost succeed with Gorbachev and Yeltsin. But they failed, Russian has roared back in an incredible turnaround.
That has the demonic West in a panic. Hence their overdrive campaign to proiect onto Putin and Russia, their own spiritual degeneracy.
It of course remains to be seen how this will all turn out. I don’t see even in my left/liberal friends who support Sanders any recognition of the profoundly serious and mendacious qualities that are running the USA and their European vassals.
But maybe it will all turn out ok. I am told that before WWII, there was a joke, the difference between the Germans and the Austrians. The Germans said, ‘the situation is serious but not hopeless, the Austrians said, the situation is hopeless but not serious.
I like your post very much, Eric, and I’d like to add to it in a very personal way.
A few weeks ago I sent Saker an email saying “I’ve been thinking about your pronouncement that Russia and the West are very, very different and will always clash in some ways. I resist this notion.”
I ended by offering Saker a “video gift” https://youtu.be/Aj6QIH2wEJE
Although the email was private, I will risk repeating his answer here, because I think it adds value to this thread. He said,
“Very interesting and, frankly,moving video.
And keep in mind that now the Communist ideology is completely removed!
And that Russia and the USA do not have irreconcilable differences as long as the USA does not act like a world Hegemon.
yes, the two nations ought to cooperate – their cooperative potential is HUGE”
In the mid seventies I was so disillusioned with American society in general and my Ivy League experience in particular, that I found myself out in the Aleutian Islands, in the Bering Sea King Crab fishery!! Two years after my final season there, was the biggest Bering Sea king crab boon ever (1980) followed by a completely mysterious disappearance of the crab in 1981.
The 13 minute video goes into what is reported to be the ONE AND ONLY medium sized Russian/American joint venture ever, then, at the height of the Cold War…………..
I felt this might be a microcosmic example of the macrocosmic subject of this thread.
@ Eric
Thank you for your historical perspective and insightful views (rare from your shores!) Indeed the Monroe Doctrine set the path for the young republic’s foreign policy and Evangelical plunder.
I’m afraid the US ruling elite is beyond redemption than that bodes doom to all of us.

The question is are Russia and the Brics just “controlled opposition”? As the Daily Bell has written on the following anomalies, a lot doesn’t make sense:
http://www.thedailybell.com/news-analysis/west-vs-brics-the-new-cold-war/
* * *
Please note:
Russia, China and Brazil use Western-style central banking economies. Western elites were instrumental in installing these systems in all three countries.
The global strategies these countries use to oppose Western power and influence – such as the creation of a BRIC-IMF – are also Western in design and intent.
Finally, even the name “BRICS” was developed in the West by a Goldman Sachs banker.
The BRICS are in many senses Western.
How is it that the West is entering into a new Cold War with countries that were essentially nursed into their current success and power by Western elite interests?
Having been painstakingly created by the West from an economic standpoint, these three huge countries (and perhaps India too) will now provide determined opposition to the Western model much as did the USSR before its mysterious collapse.
Are we looking at a new Cold War …
Or Cold War propaganda?
Are we facing political history …
Or a super-sized Hegelian dialectic?
And what would be the synthesis? A merger of all parties concerned into a truly global leadership structure?
Western economies have been thoroughly depressed over the past decade even as the BRICS have been built up. This kind of evening-out is necessary if one wants to significantly advance internationalization.
However, without a fundamental clash, no compromises can be made. So, it is perfectly possible that we are headed in the direction of a new Cold War.
But not merely as the outcome of defensive necessities. Instead, as the result of elite manipulations leading to the further evolution of global governance.
Note this, please. Internalize it.
Don’t be misled by Cold War hype or a determination to “do something” to help your country. To participate, if our hypothesis is correct, is only to support what must be, in bluntest terms, a charade.
Conclusion: We arrive once again at the conclusion that your first priority must be your own interests and that of your family. Don’t pay attention to the “noise.” Don’t be confused by appeals to your patriotism. Stay away from this upcoming globalist enterprise masquerading as a Cold War.

It’s fine to root for your team, American or Russian, but they’re playing the same game. Or for those bona fide Christians out there, Caesar has not the interests of Christ; the Prince of this world is laughing…

“Conclusion: We arrive once again at the conclusion that your first priority must be your own interests and that of your family. Don’t pay attention to the “noise.” Don’t be confused by appeals to your patriotism. Stay away from this upcoming globalist enterprise masquerading as a Cold War.”
Our first priority is for everyone his or her family, that is natural and I agree with that, but we live integrated into societies in too many ways,in our neighborhood,in our village, city, country, moreover now, with the widespread information from all over the world we are connected to the whole world,so there is the second priority at hand which comes with information. The globalization is here – at least in this sense – we can’t avoid it,maybe temporary.
Not paying attention to the noise it doesn’t work for long because some “noises” may influence our own familiar life, sometimes in a very bad way.In this regard there are many examples all over the world, how many families where and are suffering from troubles made from others, from outsiders, from evil powers without any consideration for those suffering their deed.
Patriotism – of course, there are many false patriots and more confused people probably than ever.It is indeed very hard to uncover who is who in the jungle. The corruption on spiritual level is the greatest danger of the actual civilization.
Cold War – This is the point where I’m not so optimistic regarding the entire article by Saker, although on the other hand I wish to believe in that approach. The trenches are digging deeper and deeper and is warming up.My hope is that Ceasar, the Prince of this World – as you put it – will laugh for the last time.
Having been painstakingly created by the West…..
This is where you need to think some more. Technologies and systems that work are often taken up by other countries or even just parts that are useful. Any technology can be used for either good or bad purposes.
Peter AU
“Technologies and systems that work are often taken up by other countries or even just parts that are useful.”
Useful to whom?
To whom is fiat money, fractional reserve banking, central banking and big nation-state government useful? Not you. Not me. Not the people. So who exactly? Who benefits from these expensive arrangements?

Take credit on a small scale. A shopkeeper gives a farmer credit until the farmer sells his produce. A wage earner can borrow to buy a house rather than renting and ending with nothing. If there is very little left after rent and cost of living the wage earner may never be able to save the money to by a house. (speculation in housing throws all that out)
Credit can be designed as a trap or as a win win.
On a much larger scale, credit can be used to build infrastructure.
The massive amount of infrastructure China has built over the last couple of decades?
It all depends on whether credit is used as a trap or an honest tool.
No doubt with any western input into setting up these institutions into the above mentioned countries, they would have tried to insert traps.
Were the countries themselves as sovereign countries involved in a massive conspiracy to bring in credit traps? I don’t think so.

Lol. I thought the US was part of the AZE? So such an East-West alliance would mean that Russia is part of the AZE ;)
Methinks James Corbett and Brandon Smith might be right afterall.
“Considering all of this, one could reasonably assume that anti-western feelings have reached a boiling point in Russia and that Russia will never again be an ally for the West.”
-That never happens thought, humans get over things pretty fast, two generations ago the Germans was set to exterminate every single Russian, and almost succeeded. Today Germany and Russia are buddies.
“Germany and Russia are buddies”
You are an inveterate optimist Liz. (Sorry to pick on you) There was a time, when the ‘west’ needed Russian blood to defend itself, the Russians were indeed ‘buddies’. But as soon as the guns were silenced (and even before) they were already planning to stab the Russians, even invade the USSR with a reconstituted Wehrmacht.
And when they started setting up NATO (1948) Molotov suggested that the USSR be included in the pact. That confounded the allies a lot because their refusal gave the game away: Nato was set up against their ally, the USSR. Later, before the Warsaw Pact was formed, Molotov made several attempts for a co=operative defence arrangement, including the unification of Germany, but excluding the Yanks from Europe altogether. They laughed at and mocked the Russians; they needed a bogeyman to keep Europe occupied… until today and tomorrow.

What people need to always do is keep in mind the following, the original neocon – responsible for the ILlegal invasion of Iraq based on WMD lies – wolfowitz doctrine: ‘The U.S. must show the leadership necessary to establish and protect a new order that holds the promise of convincing potential competitors [Russia] that they need not aspire to a greater role or pursue a more aggressive posture to protect their [Russia’s] legitimate interests. In non-defense areas, we must account sufficiently for the interests of the advanced industrial nations to discourage them [Russia] from challenging our leadership or seeking to overturn the established political and economic order. We must maintain the mechanism for deterring potential competitors [Russia] from even aspiring to a larger regional or global role.’ etc. Note also the reference to ‘regional’.
Added to this, is the later blueprint of the US, namely PNAC – the Project for the New American Century – which obviously applies to the whole of this century, include ‘color revolutions’, and you have a very toxic mix of American imperialism, and arrogance.
congrats, fab article. but I would say 9/10 people in uk are russophobes including Defence Ministry eg even few days ago MI5 and Scotland Yard being told or supported to look for Rus ‘war crimes’ in Syria, despite the off guardian commentators, Daily Mail commenters who wish to point out the truth re Rus, eg Rus bombers in international airspace etc etc not being threats but seen off the premises………
You have spent a great deal of thought here, but I ask, “Why trust Trump?” The man himself is admittedly the most shallow human being on the planet. “It’s all a show” is his personal brand. He has said as much in the Playboy interview. He is the epitome of Hedges “Empire of Illusion” embodied in a political candidate that celebrates the triumph of image over substance for a people devoid of substance through years of consumerist propagandization..
I would more welcome a reconciliation between Summers and Russia as having more credibility than any olive branch from Trump. It is a trap, woven within the strands of a web of traps, like layers of the onion which reveal a core that can be bought for a price, and “the hand that gives” is fine with this.
Trump’s “man of the people” facade and all its establishment trappings, including the phony “establishment push-back” is an elaborate con, even more sophistaced than the Madison avenue crafted ‘Hope and Change” brand of cool Daddy – O. We see where this takes us. New boss, same as the old.
Russia must protect its interests politically, as good diplomacy dictates, but it must do so from a position of power. Europe is the key, as in the Eurasian Economic Union, not the U.S. For once, yes, let Russia embrace the neutrality in the spirit of honor, but remember that honor can be a trap when the dishonorable are the other party.
How I wish that I somehow, someday can contribute (in however small way) to that development: that Russia eventually may be seen all over the world as the magnificent country she is (and always was).
You mentioned 100 massacred in Odessa 2nd May 2014. I thought it was 46. No matter how many, it was a disgusting and despicable act.
Could the West really change their attitude towards Russia?
Sadly, I think not.
It is so ingrained into the culture and mindset of Western society, that it would take a major revolution beginning with the US, including the complete rebuilding of American Foreign Policy and a rebellion against the militarization of police, the current education system, a complete overhaul with the dismantling control over the media to even make considerable inroads.
As an “Aussie” living in Australia , it saddens me to see our future generations being dumbed down to believe what is portrayed as historical fact is nothing more than an education system built upon propaganda through the various foundations set-up to deceive “Freedom of Speech” and to search for the truth. Our politicians are nothing more than puppet governments controlled by the elite to do Washington’s bidding on behalf of Wall St. The agenda is for a NWO run as a totalitarian society. Russia is very much a “Thorn in the side” for the elites to have maximum control. We look at what is happening with Europe and the refugee crisis and it is obvious that it was a very well planned and orchestrated push to cause as much chaos as possible to open up the borders and the floodgates causing a humanitarian catastrophe. Who created this in the first place? You only need to follow the money flow.
There are some freethinkers that have dragged themselves away from mainstream to research and investigate. The trouble is they are often ostracized as “Conspiracy Theorists” and “Nutjobs”. Do the West really want to make those radical changes to include Russia as being at least neutral or an ally? Nope! They would rather go down with the ship and believe a lie.
The US Empire is crumbling under it’s decades of deception and deceit.
Sadly the rest of the west is following along the economic path of ruin.
Seriously, how long can this fiat fiasco last?
Not long at all, if Hilary warmonger Clinton takes the oval office.
In years to come Putin will be remembered as one of the World’s great leaders along with Lavrov with his articulate diplomacy. However, I don’t think it will be enough to change the hearts and minds of Washington with a majority of neocons hellbent on first strike.
Now that is scary.
The total death toll at the Trade Union House was 297 and included women and two children. We lost a good friend in that area that day but not in the building. He had nothing to do with any of that mess, he was walking home and his usual short cut was to cut across the far end of the square with the building. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time and paid with his life.

“Will the opponents of any such cooperation denounce it? Yes, of course, that is to be expected, but whether this attack will be successful or not will depend on the outcome of such a cooperation. Thus the key question is what does Russia have to offer?”
Russia has been willing to work with some individuals like Kerry (but not really Obama). Kerry has been “gifted” many foreign policy triumphs by Putin/Lavrov. The Syrian chemical weapons destruction, Iranian nuclear deal, Syrian peace negotiations, Syrian ceasefire, and UN resolutions have all been of Russian design and then handed to Kerry to implement and take credit for. It is interesting that Lavrov doesn’t need the “kudos” for them, while Kerry and the MSM usually fail to mention any Russian involvement at all. Lavrov is a statesman while Kerry is a politician; but it appears that from a Russian perspective, it is obtaining the desired result that it the most important element rather than who gets the feather in the cap.

“The Obama Doctrine”

Looks like Russia’s part in the turning around of US bombing Syria, for something they didn’t do, is being written out of history. Obama is a realist and rejected the demands of neocons because “he thought about it.”
The “legacy” of the Obama presidency is being formed and recorded for future generations to know what a thoughtful and wise president he was. Oh, and independent, as well.
I’ve not read the whole thing yet, so not sure how the weekly signing of death warrants is handled. The author was on PBS Newshour yesterday relating the Syria/Red Line story — no mention of consultation with Putin or consideration of Russian intelligence or Putin nigotiating chem weapons out of Syria. Did that happen? Or did my memory just make it up?
I did read the whole thing. Took me hours… Putin is discussed somewhere in the second half.
Some quotes:
At the G20 summit in St. Petersburg, which was held the week after the Syria reversal, Obama pulled Putin aside, he recalled to me, and told the Russian president “that if he forced Assad to get rid of the chemical weapons, that that would eliminate the need for us taking a military strike.” Within weeks, Kerry, working with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, would engineer the removal of most of Syria’s chemical-weapons arsenal—a program whose existence Assad until then had refused to even acknowledge.
“Oftentimes when you get critics of our Syria policy, one of the things that they’ll point out is ‘You called for Assad to go, but you didn’t force him to go. You did not invade.’ And the notion is that if you weren’t going to overthrow the regime, you shouldn’t have said anything. That’s a weird argument to me, the notion that if we use our moral authority to say ‘This is a brutal regime, and this is not how a leader should treat his people,’ once you do that, you are obliged to invade the country and install a government you prefer.”
He described a relationship with Putin that doesn’t quite conform to common perceptions. I had been under the impression that Obama viewed Putin as nasty, brutish, and short. But, Obama told me, Putin is not particularly nasty.
“The truth is, actually, Putin, in all of our meetings, is scrupulously polite, very frank. Our meetings are very businesslike. He never keeps me waiting two hours like he does a bunch of these other folks.” Obama said that Putin believes his relationship with the U.S. is more important than Americans tend to think. “He’s constantly interested in being seen as our peer and as working with us, because he’s not completely stupid. He understands that Russia’s overall position in the world is significantly diminished. And the fact that he invades Crimea or is trying to prop up Assad doesn’t suddenly make him a player. You don’t see him in any of these meetings out here helping to shape the agenda. For that matter, there’s not a G20 meeting where the Russians set the agenda around any of the issues that are important.”
because he’s not completely stupid
The arrogance and self importance of Obama comes through loud and clear.
Although not a “Mainstream” high-circulation publication, The Atlantic IS read by those with influence in many Countries, which will certainly include China and Russia, who will have “adjusted” their opinions of “Dear Leader” accordingly.
One wonders how “Mr Obama” would react if Russia published a similar opinion of him and his lackeys. “International Incident” comes to mind . . . :-)
Obama is already ensuring OTHERS are saddled with “The Blame” for American humanitarian “Regime Change” disasters –
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/barack-obama-says-david-cameron-allowed-libya-to-become-a-s-show-a6923976.html
The “Special Relationship” only works in the one direction – America’s.
Unfortunately, long term strategic policies of the US and other Western countries are not controlled by their citizenry, by their politicians, or even by a “deep state”. Ultimate power lies with the international corporate and banking oligarchy. Once a country is integrated into the global financial system it immediately becomes subject to control. Central banks can crash the currency, destroy the regional banking system, crash stock exchanges or devastate the economy by capital flight.
The goals of these institutions are the extraction of wealth from the target countries. In Russia’s case, this means a relegation to serving as (primarily) a source of oil and gas. Putin has attempted to reverse this control to an extent, hence the source of the current conflict.
Personally, I believe the best Russia can expect without complete subjugation is a managed conflict as was the case during the Detente period. But such a relationship would never be acceptable to the West unless no other choice was available. Recall that when Gorbachev came to power he was actually considered a threat. It was perceived that he wanted to end the policy of military confrontation. However, this was unacceptable without also dismantling the Soviet economic and financial structures that prevented desired exploitation of the intrinsic wealth of the USSR by Western financial and business interests.
So it seems to me that to achieve an equal relationship with the West, the steps made to integrate Russia into the global financial system must be reversed. I fear that an extended period of struggle will occur as Russia moves to establish independence from foreign control.
I like your comment the best so far, especially the first paragraph..
The only thing I would change in your comment is the term “the West” and replace it with “The City of London”. Their lie’s the true tip of the pyramid, and no one ever mentions it.
and I would replace ‘The City of London’ with the ‘global Fascist Mafia’
:-)
Those who are talking of reconciliation with the ‘West’ haven’t digested the fact that we are dealing here with organized crime on a scale the world hasn’t seen before.
And I would replace the words ‘Global Fascist Mafia’ with ‘Global Khazarian, Luciferian Zionist Mafia’.
The top of this Mafia is the Dark Prince himself. I know some of you are not spiritual, but Satan is literally hell-bent on subjugating the Human Race. This task is just about complete save for Russia and perhaps China and isolated resistance here and there.
Satans minions are in overdrive trying to undermine Russia and the resurgent Eastern Orthodox Church (which in my personal opinion is the closest there is to true Christianity) which happens to be making inroads with non-salafi/non-wahabbi Muslim moderate and mainstream peoples. Such an event would doom the Evil agenda we see happening and engulfing the vast majority of Humanity.
Even the Quran mentions this coming together of these Godly Orthodox peoples in :
Surah Al-Room (Romans) – http://quranexplorer.com/Quran/
also – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ar-Rum
I’m not meaning to ‘troll’ Muslim beliefs here but with regards to Russia, Syria , Iran, Iraq and Turkey etc, in my personal opinion it is relevant. I believe Russia (Roman Eastern Orthodoxy) and Allied Mainstream (non wahabbi/salafi) muslim forces will ‘liberate’ Constantinople by defeating Turkey (warmonger/aggressor – and true Islam forbids war of aggression) . This is all part of WW3 which has already started since around 1990 although in low intensity. And it will stay conventional given the MAD theory is still in play today. The aggressive Saudi’s essentially walked into their doomed fate in Yemen which will eventually bring down all of the hypocritical Gulf Arab regimes. The terrain of Yemen and nature of these rugged warriors(who with flip-flops, skirts and ak-47’s ) are inflicting serious damage to their aggressors Saudi, U.A.E etc.and will continue to do so until Riyadh is ‘liberated’ from the imposter house of Saud. This in turn will bring down Jordan and any other lackey’s.
Iraq, Iran, Syria , the Kurds, the good part of Lebanon will keep Israel checkmated and on hold to be dealt with later. China, wise and ancient as they are , will assist militarily, financially and politically through backrooms and in the shadows. Their official entry into ww3 will come at a later date. They act as the ‘ big surprise’ when the time is right. When this time comes, Pakistan will be forced to ‘place their bet’, and my money goes with the Russo-Sino-Moderate Muslim Alliance.
Nato (E.U, U.K and hangers on-welfare states) will largely stay clear of the War up and until/unless Western Europe itself is threatened. Nato and co. will essentially have to cover itself on two major possible War theatres-the south-Turkey, which at most they will support with minimal assistance, military and political. Nato’s second major and ominous War theatre to really worry about is its Eastern Front faced with Russian Federation, Belarussia and Novorussia. I will get in to that now.
that all depends on a variety of options. I personally believe things will escalate. Therefore two questions remain. Will the coming conflict be nuclear or not(conventional). If nuclear, its over for everyone, no winners. If conventional, then Russia holds the upper hand. If everyone is clamoring for Syria-Iraq, than Russia need not oblige that situation but launch a massive reverse Barbarossa. No one, not even NATO can stop the bear. Russia has far too many armored/ mechanized divisions, airborne and logistical divisions. These can be covered nicely by s-400 and s-500 systems whish would negate the long arm of NATO’EU Air forces and conventional missiles (which is all NATO has, certainly not a robust on the ground conventional army). The Russians could drop their airborne troops in Poland and Baltics to neutralize bases, logistics etc while Russian Armored divisions (using the good quality roads in the European theatre and under the cover of s-400,s-500 and air forces ) would make good headway- a sort of modern day blitzkrieg (the Achilles heel in this is whether Russian logistical supply lines and airdrops could keep up). I personally believe the Europeans(especially the Eastern variety) wont know what hit them u until the Russian juggernaut reaches Austria. Then my take is that negotiations would probably start. Iran and the Shia of Iraq along with Syria and the Kurds could be tasked with causing as much trouble and problems for ill-conceived adventurism by Turkey, KSA, U.S COALITION in the general Levant. While all this is going on, the U.S can kiss it’s position in the Pacific/ China seas goodbye as U.S assets would be relocated and quickly to other parts of the world.
I’m still thinking about how China would fit in to this equation/war other than Taiwan going back to China. But I can say backed up by history that powers that don’t get involved in a World conflict of the stated size I have here stand to lose more than staying out. War of this sort is a great innovator among other things(economy etc) When negotiations unfold the Old U.N would be out and a new World mechanism would be introduced to resolve international and resolutions and conflict. Many would simply say the U.S. would come to Europe’s rescue, but forget that the U.S has very little outside Air armadas and some Nukes in Poland I believe. Ask yourself, how many tanks does England have stationed on mainland Europe? Also, the supposed Russian advance is not to hold territory but go as far as they can for the following negotiations.
Ok, I wrote all this right after I woke up from a nap…I think I will have a cup of coffee now.
“Could Russia still become an ally of the West?”
Sure, by becoming part of the financial Borg that controls the West. The Western struggle with Russia and the USSR has been over the relative position within the financial Borg. Moscow has wanted more than the West was willing to give in terms of seats at the tables that matter. Not really about principle, just about seats at the table.
“First, I would not exaggerate the russophobia of the West. If we are speaking about the elites, then yes, they are generally rabidly russophobic. But the common people? Much less so, I think.”
Where on Earth do common people have any say? Iceland? Samoa?
—-
I’m afraid that Russia becoming an ally of the West would be bad news. What we need is to defeat the bankster/Zionist-parasitical model in the world. That model is dominant in the West, but also about 50% powerful in Russia. A merger would likely mean the parasite would be alive and well. An example would be a sphere of influence deal. Russia would agree that France could rape and plunder French-speaking and colonial Africa in exchange for agreeing to Russia having sway over much of the Middle East. Then Russia could cut a deal with the US to let the US run over Latin America and SE Asia in exchange for the US pulling its troops or NATO out of the Baltics and the Ukraine.
Another terrible consequence of Russia becoming friends with the West is it would mean the triumph of globalism and probably neoliberalism. Russian elites would no longer feel the need to make a modern technological country in non-military matters, and they could go back to their happy comprador colonialism. Countries that have actually tried to build an alternative, such as Iran, would likely be in a more difficult position.
Agreed with Paul
That Russia turning to the West) would be the worst thing that could possibly be happening for Russia and for the World. What West ? .becoming Zionist fascist subduing 3/4 of humanity reducing them to slave gm poisoned vaccinated surveyed tax payers plundering the resources in the tropical countries? The West is sinking into its own mud It is ethically-morally and spiritually bankrupt..Russia please stay out of the West. That epoch is over no use turning to the past.Russia go your own way possibly into a future where the common man and his community counts and cooperate with those who are real partners. This is a time when a new paradigme must emerge .out of the collapse of the degenerated West. We see sign that it is possible
Good Lord I hope it’s not too long of a wait for co-operation to become the norm as the west is rapidly sinking under its debt monetary system, deteriorating social justice and rejection of law and order as paramount to its structure. Russia and her friends may find they have nothing worth dealing with other than a loose collection of mafia style oligarchs as the entire west turns into copies of Greece and the Ukraine. I wish Russia and Canada could come to some agreement on joint Arctic, sub Arctic development as the two nations have much in common, both being dominated by a northern climate which tends to make their peoples naturally socialistic in the face of this climate influence while retaining a spirit of coming to grips with extracting a living from a four season climate and a vast geography. I can only see a win win if this were to come to pass.
It’s not ‘The West’. It’s the jews who control the leadership of the West.
saying that is illegal in my (Western) country…
They are fake Jews, worshippers of the Phallus and Lucifer. been causing mischief and chaos and needless death and misery since the dawn of Mankind. They have Nothing to do with the old Hebrews of the Moses days.
it happened in babylon in exile(Quran Sura 2 Verse 102), they took up magic and sorcery and brought it back to jerusalem, Jesus exposed them, the phariseers, after the destruction of the temple they became mainstream rabbinical judaism based on talmud not Tora
Saker,
Very nice, optimistic analysis.
THE key:
“Russia or China are, for the first time in centuries, breaking out of their subservient status.”
That is good. Now, we Americans must restore our Republic, and regain our Sovereignty -from the Zionist Oligarchs. Then Peace and Prosperity, with Liberty, can break out!
Our Anarchist Collective will distribute Fliers to this point.
The election is a Circus. The candidates are puppets of the Oligarchs. Although your analysis of H. Clinton’s personna indicates that she is the most willing/motivated/fascistic of the puppets. Recall that her husband, then ‘President’ B. Clinton, presided over the destruction of Russia’s sister country, Yugoslavia.
The knives are stabbing; the blood is flowing; entire nations are being pulverized and looted; false flags replace our country’s flags; the terrorist Oligarchs are in the saddle; Snowden is in exile; Dieudonné is banned; the next generation [place your verb here]………………………..
For the Democratic Republics, the ones we will rescue, and the ones we will forge!

Most of the time Russian Empire/USSR made it hard for ordinary people to travel and meet. In fact there is no reason now for RT not to have travel programmes and “Easy Visa” for ordinary people to visit Russia and bring in forex. There is so much to see and openness is what has made Russia today so much more respected than in the past. People see what criminals run their own systems and how restrained Putin/Lavrov have been……and the action in Syria has gained Russia much respect and anger towards Western purveyors of death.
So Russia should promote tourism and get visitors. There are so many Russians now living in London or Frankfurt or Wiesbaden so people know they are human…….it needs more tourism and then this demonisation s dead and buried
What I disliked a lot about visiting Russia late last year – and to get into the Donbass – is the very high cost of the 2 entry visa, £100 approx, say $150 (then) with the corresponding BS about being ‘sponsored’ – at £35 (could have been cheaper, but I was in a rush and it was very covenient for it to be done there and then) by a complete stranger organisation, which had never heard of me before then.
OK, maybe Russia wanted to get back at Britain a bit and charging this, but I should have been let in free. :)
Tourism: You are so exactly correct and I wonder why there has not been more promotions… like
“Russia? See for yourself” and then clips of awesome unspoiled natural beauty, classical museums, architectural wonders, historical villages etc. including “one night at the Bolshoi” or a “foodie” tour in Moscow for those who do not want to bar hop–maybe for the delux tour group.
Also, how about some art exhibit exchanges in NYC? In SF there was a wonderful Japanese Screen exhibit from the feudal period where the cold castles needed these screens to cut off drafts from entering the rooms( several years ago at the Asian Museum in downtown SF.)
How about one on “the sacred art of Icons and the soul of Russia?” at the Metropolitan in NYC?
This is an excellent analysis, Saker. The long view is where the Kremlin lives anyway. I have no doubt that most of the Russophobia in the world could be dispelled in just a few years by a change in the propaganda.
I’d think it’s worth trying to add Lavrov’s recent article to this thinking also, which you republished here: “Russia’s Foreign Policy: Historical Background”
Lavrov’s view is as vast and ancient as Russia itself, but the overarching theme to me was the sense that Russia is not only a part of Europe, but the best part, and the biggest. That Russia is the true anchor for Europe, the unity and stability that Europe has long yearned for. This tells me that in the long view, Russia has no desire to turn its face away from Europe.
I can see the Lisbon-to-Vladivostok single civilization, thanks to Lavrov’s work. I can even perceive the Americas, North and South as being the logical western end of that civilization. McKinder got it wrong when he perceived the heartland of the world island as a threat. If he’d seen it as the logical basis for world civilization, he’d have been right.
I take your article here as further demonstration that Russia will never give up working with all countries, and that such future cooperation is always possible.
I think the question should be turned around: Could the West Become an Ally of Russia?
As you mention, Russia’s ready to work with those willing to work with it and always has. So, it’s really a matter of will on the part of the West. Lets begin with World Peace. There’s only one country that treats the attainment of World Peace as inimical to its interest: The Outlaw US Empire, as the promotion of War is its way of fulfilling its policy goal of Full Spectrum Domination–to turn everyone into its slaves as you put it. Putin has presented Russia’s position on this issue quite clearly–it will fight to maintain its freedom–and the same is true for every nation signing onto the SCO, CSTO, BRICS, New Silk Road, and Eurasian Economic Union. So even though the Cold War’s over, the planet’s still divided into two differing ideologies pursuing opposite goals: One War and Conquest of Everything–The West–One Peace and fruitful trading relations will all countries to uplift citizens and solve global crises based on the Rule of Law. Clearly, there’s but one civilized path, the other being Barbarian and chaotic. Personally, I don’t see the West being mature enough to become allied with Russia and its partners; and for reasons based upon culture, they may never grow up and exhibit wisdom.
It’s about containment, and American ‘supremacy’ for the rest of this century – PNAC – aka deluded and arrogant BS.
Just to say that the Anglo Zionist Saxon Axis wishes to turn the whole world into slaves is not really sufficient to explain the Saxon/Germanic attitude to Slavic culture and polity.
It is of vital importance for Germanic norms in culture, economics and politics to control all the territory of NW Eurasia as the basis for controlling most or nearly all, of the remaining Non White world.
Germanic claims to superiority rest on the idea that the Germanic model is the future- all other cultures will inevitably adopt the Germanic model in the end. Because it is superior.
But you can hardly sell this idea to a Chinese person if right under your nose the Slavs are successfully pursuing another alternative model.
Ever since the Germanic nation states of Western Eurasia began the process of industrialisation and territorial expansion it has been neccessary for them to subdue and if possible erradicate all non Germanic white culture. This includes Gaelic culture and Slavic culture.
Germans, Saxon and Continental, will continue to strive to establish themselves as the pre-eminent white culture. Slavs and Gaels can be subservient, perhaps favoured vassals, but nothing more.
The ideological framework for Germanic domination of white people is WHITEISM
You can read more at the United States of Everywhere.
Andy Perry,
The much hyped White civilization isn’t all what it’s cracked up to be.
The Western nations have always been and still are just a bunch of Vikings with bad breath, running around burning villages, pillaging and murdering non-Whites and, of course, white Russians.
It’s an insult to Christianity to call them “Christians.” They are Christiano-fascists, just like Islamo-fascism that they invented and try to propagate. It’s just the peculiarity of the Western mind. They are exclusive, and everyone they exclude has to be killed.
“Germans, Saxon and Continental, will continue to strive” – No, they won’t. They ran out of nations to pillage and murder with impunity. Those nations now are getting S-300s and Russian jets.
Don’t you see how the Western elites are running around screaming in horror?!
You have missed the most tectonic shift of all: Russia, China and India are gathering all non-white nations and building formidable defense against the Western murderous mutant civilization.
Tak Pobedim!
Scott,
I’m with the broad thrust of your perspective..
As far as Christianity goes, Germanic culture created Protestantism as a respnse to, and a substitute for, Christianity.
To talk of the ‘West’ doesn’t really get us anywhere. Anymore than talking about ‘left’ and ‘right’ does. These terms are deliberately vague and relative to confuse and prevent analysis.
Have you ever wondered where designations like ‘left’ and ‘right’, ‘west’ and ‘east’ ‘international community’ come from? Whose interests do they serve?
Specific terms like Ango Saxon, Anglo Zionist are much more helpful in describing actual relationships in the world.
As for your idea that the Saxon Axis is just going to give up and go home….I find that somewhat difficult to believe..
Do you know where the term “Caucasian ” comes from by any chance ?
Beware those –isms
This is much more a battle of class. The enemy is not whiteness. Always and everywhere the fish stinks from the head. Thinking in these terms plays into the hands Anglozionist elites. They are interested in power. Racialist thinking keeps their opponents divided and places the onus of responsibility for social violence onto poor whites, amongst other ‘victims.’
Expanding it beyond the narrow confines of Marxist analysis, a Russian is the opposite of a Nazi or Zionist. The quality is spiritual. Writers and philosophers have for centuries understood this dynamic and proclaimed the blood of Russia saves the world, as it does time and again.
C I eh?
Well said,”Thinking in these terms plays into the hands Anglozionist elites.” well,in my case I have latin, germanic, slavic and armenian blood.Which one should I hate ?
You should neither hate (or be ashamed) nor cherish (or be proud) of any of your ‘bloods’ (genes ).
These are given to you at the start of your life, possibly fortified/weakened with some cultural and spiritual knowledge given to you by your surrounding. This holds true for all of us, some being slightly luckier than others.
But, a big but, what you do with it, and how go about doing it, is what makes you a real person or something else.
Regards, Spiral
Well Spiral, in Asia ancestor worship remains a strong tradition.
You may see it as entirely negative but compare it to people of the modern world, who will spend the inheritance of the next 50 generations for satisfaction of present needs.
People who ‘cherish’ their ancestors have similar respect for their descendants. I fully agree with your last point. It’s what you do with your inheritance that counts most of all.
Wise words, absolutely true.
As I see it, and I’m sure that’s so, having already lived a few decades and traveled a few countries of different cultures, there are “real persons” everywhere and everywhere there is “something else”.
And when I say everywhere, I mean everywhere, without exception.
No way I think that any race, ethnicity, nationality, nation, religion or ideology, has the monopoly on spirituality, or on purity of blood, or on the truth.
To say that someone or something has it so, I see it just as another form of exceptionalism.
Regards.
I was casually now seeing an interview by a Spanish journalist with Edward Snowden, in Moscow, where he tells how the son of Martin Luther King became an object of special surveillance by the FBI as “a threat” to national security just after that speech where his father said, “I have a dream that one day my four children can live in a country where they will not be discriminated by the color of their skin or their way of thinking”
Well, I have the same dream, not only for my own country but for all people in the world, and to that I would add: “where everyone can live a decent life”
Only I wonder why some who place themselves into those who are in possesion of the purest blood and the last remains of spirituality also see me as “a threat”.
Good point CI, eh? There are lots of white allies and potential allies out there. Skin color is a stupid parameter which is nearly 100% useless in measuring good or evil. Again, just look at Obama, Condi Rice, Susan Rice, Colin Powell, for starters. Their skin is just fine, but something is wrong with their souls.
On the other hand, consider the classic Jesse Owens/Adolph Hitler supposed racial drama at the 1936 Olympics. https://youtu.be/-LwiQtkxV6U Now I’d rather have dinner with a great athlete than a psychopath, but it turns out that Owens resisted being a propaganda tool and told the truth: Hitler never snubbed him, but FDR did!! Things are always more interesting and complex than the spin doctors can spin them.
This really is a stupid comment and I wonder if you’re an AZ troll.
Did you now that Germanic tribes spread alle over Western and Central Europe in the early middle ages, that 1/3 of the classical French people were of Germanic origin whereas the socalled Germanic states Germany and Austria were composed from different Germanic tribes but also Celtics, Romans and not to forget Slavs.
What about the Northern Germanic tribes which latter became famous under the name Vikings: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland are these countries also “WHITIST” supremacists?
And finally, if the core of the AZ Empire would be Germanic “WHITISM” as you stated, Why are these countries overrun by migrants with the logistic and financial support of US NGO’s?
Andy Perry’s job is to spread Soros-type disinformation, e,g. claiming that Germany is the problem and not the AZE. He refuses to admit that Germany is still occupied militarily, socially and spiritually by the Zionists and their Empire.
Russia and the West getting together on, say, the partition of Syria?
http://sputniknews.com/politics/20160311/1036128108/syria-federalization-mistura-geneva.html
http://www.sott.net/article/314140-After-weeks-of-talking-up-Syria-partition-West-claims-its-Russia-that-wants-it-to-outflank-the-US
Both sides blaming the other for partitioning Syria? I think that’s the way the narrative will play out — “de facto” partition as some posters here like to describe it.
Russia could easily prevent partition — the majority of Syrians don’t want it, and the Iranians don’t want it. So who wants partition?
Oh yeh, the Zionists :D
So I’ll repeat (again) that I think articles like this are hopium. removed. No attacking the Saker/trolling.Mod on Duty
“Could Russia still become an ally of the West?”
Saker, you wound not come out with a such thought unless you live in USA.
Because simply it is not possible, cooperation – yes.
Yes, after more thought, I kind of agree with you. Why would you want to be an ally of the biggest bully on the block? so you can help bully others ?
I think the post should be changed into “Could Russia be treated as Equal by the West”. The answer is obviously YES, but only if Russia is STRONG enough militarily and economically. No other way.
Is this an example of Russia and the West working together?
http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/03/11/key-powers-discuss-possibility-of-syria-federal-division-diplomats/
Slippery slope to partition, in my opinion, and then where does that leave the notion that Russia is not part of the AZE?
Please post under one name. You previously posted as Flonerd. Please stop the trolling too. Any further repetitive posts will go to trash. Mod on Duty
no.
nazis have changed name and centre of operation but their ideology remains intact.
my sense is that russia knows it very well..so, no. not gonna happen.
At the moment there may be still the possibility of a pragmatic cooperation.
I wonder how the Russian,s in their own minds, may forget about the tentative (a success) to resuscitate a nazi regime on their borders: they must be suicidals to forget about.
US and EU showed their true faces…fascism
Thank you Saker for the article.
The problem is the “West” just keeps on the same road of blaming Russia for everything or ignoring anything Russia says and twisting it into what they want:
Just an example today in RI:
http://russia-insider.com/en/after-weeks-talking-syria-partition-west-now-claims-its-russia-wants-it/ri13295
If they can’t get what they want with Syria – claim the Russians want it – ignore what the Russians have said over and over and over.
That murderer on triial in Russia (whom again the “West” uses for their own sanctions agenda) is not forgotten by the Russian people:
http://www.fort-russ.com/2016/03/hundreds-of-muscovites-demand-that.html
They want her bought to justice.
Until this Western mentality goes it won’t be an ally to Russia – history also proves this fact sadly.
Rgds,

Looks like the Russians have a banner hung up in Moscow now calling the murderer a mercenary:
http://www.fort-russ.com/2016/03/shes-mercenary-banner-hung-in-moscow.html
Looks like Facebook is being its usual impartial self too……banning a Russian poet for condeming the murder.
In addition to the above the Syrian Gov has now made it very clear that they want the unity of Syria. The article also backs the Russian position on this – the soverignty of Syria too.

That UN Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura – needs firing! He spouts the US line – he should be neutral.
“Right now the West is ‘confronting’ Russia everywhere, from the Arctic waters to the Pacific – but this begs the question of who really needs that?!”
Answer: The West needs this confrontation very badly due to its own unbridled parasitism. This has become particularly pronounced after 30+ years of neoliberalism featuring the intentional destruction of the West’s erstwhile productive and fiscal basis. Rape and pillage abroad now stand out as the ‘post-industrial’ West’s only ways of sustaining itself. Consequently, the subjugation of Russia has become an extraordinarily crucial aim given the size of the booty and the long yearned for Zionazi genocidal frenzy which Russia’s defeat would instantly unleash globally.
“Is that not a huge waste of resources and efforts when working with Russia could be so much more beneficial?”
Answer: And what’s in it for Russia? Enjoying a bunch of totally condescending, haughty “partners” understandably taking her for a lesser being grovelling before the Master Race?
Put bluntly, Russia should unceremoniously nuke the Euro-trash and turn to the Far East and the South.
‘Put bluntly, Russia should unceremoniously nuke the Euro-trash and turn to the Far East and the South.’ – That’s really a stupid thing to say, provided of course that you don’t get nuked, how do you think you will escape? I really don’t think much of people who have such an ignorant, dismissive pov as if their intellect is so superior. In fact, I think you should apologise.
My deepest and humblest apologies to the You’re_a_peon Union. May its citizens rest in peas with some oatmeal tossed in.
You could ask
Could Russia still become an ally of the Natoists?
Do we need an answer?
No.
Q: Could Russia still become an ally of the Natoists?
A: Yes and no. Strictly speaking, the Zionazis have no allies anywhere; they rule by bribery, fear, deception, and — most notably — heavy coercion. This animosity applies with special vigour to Russia which they have forever targeted for destruction. If the Yeltsin years qualify as a state of “alliance” between Russia and the US, the question suddenly becomes truly frightful and ominous:
Could Russia descend into a US colony hellhole again?
And the answer is: Yes, it could. The 5th columnists are committed to precisely this outcome.
Could Russia already be in that hell — just google Putin and Berel Lazar.
Saker, do you realize how disconnected from reality it is to call the French National Front “far right”? That’s just downright dishonest and is the same kind of dishonesty the Western media hawks every day. Leftists and other such ideologues portray any non-leftist political movement as “extreme right” or “far right” and it is very disappointing to see you uncritically parroting the same line. Such a shame.
Oh, this is great, and it’s a joy to think of all the ideologues who in one way or another may stumble upon this essay. There is humor under the surface for anyone with a sense of irony, and humor is a powerful weapon. You are helping kick-start a process where the US could come to terms with a force more “pragmatic” than any ideology: common sense. The russiaphobia of the average joe is shallow and based on nothing other than proclamation from pundits and the MSM; the current presidential race is showing us that more and more people are turning to alternative information on the internet and not buying the B.S. What they need are voices offering an alternative strategy, and they can find them with minimal effort.
The internet has changed since the last presidential race. Sites like Vice and the Onion are corporate entertainment to the core at the last place you’d go for reliable updates on the Ukraine or Syria. “Forums” and lone bloggers on obscure wordpress pages turned into tons of small communities sharing important stories and the number of hits they get are staggering compared to the highly financed MSM. The story about 16 anti-Sanders stories on the Washington Post in 16 hours (or whatever) made its way to Zero Hedge to Secular Talk to all over the place in less than 24 hours, and even the last democratic debate had Bernie Sanders attacking the politically incorrect Clinton/Wall Street connection because he was forced to do it. Politico and Huffington Post do what they always did, but the comments sections show an increasingly pissed-off America battling with old arguments and paid bots.
If you look at page views, the alternative sites are more competitive than ever. CNN and its ilk get around 150,000 (?) viewers a day (or something), which includes every TV in every airport and bar, which is pathetic given their funding. The number of hits here and on Zero Hedge and even a funded site like RT show that the alternative sites are the new alternative press, which hopefully indicates a more informed minority which is influencing the direction of politics in the US; a few years ago everyone would have said it was Clinton vs. Bush and that was that. Great article, may this meme spread; there really is no reason for Americans to hate Russia and deep down more and more people know that every day. (Hopefully. May I not wish upon a star?)
“to submit us to their influence. Never has anyone done this in history in relation to Russia and no one ever will” – Didn’t the Judeo-Bolsheviks do exactly this?
Stalin corrected that and is rightfully held in high regard among the Russian people. The eradication of the Zionist trend is the real significance of Stalin’s victory over Trotsky, the Jewish supremacist who — unlike Stalin — is highly revered in the West; most notably among its Cultural Marxists.
I think you speak for yourself and not the Russian people. If not, God help us all
And you’re a Certified Westerner, speaking on behalf of Soros. With regard to the sentiments of the Western fascist Oligarchy, Putin’s Russia is another case in point. It elicits the very same fears and hatreds as did Stalin’s USSR, and for the very same fundamental reasons too. The Russians happen to have first-hand experience of “European values” and pass their verdict accordingly, certified Westerners be damned.
It’s all about energy and resources. Russia, Iran are net exporters of fossil fuels while the US and Europe are net importers. That puts Russia and Iran in a position of untenable power during our upcoming energy descent.
Fall in Love, Not in Line
In matters of truth, 9/11 is the litmus test.
In matters of money, interest is the litmus test.
Russia fails the test on both scores. Russia will not tell the truth about the first and so is part of the cover-up. Regarding the second, Russia wants a front seat at the casino gambling table and so plays Mr. Nice Guy by making a deal called co-dependency.
Until we pass the tests of love, it’s just more push and shove.
We’re being gamed by the bad cop West and the good cop East. Welcome to the new feast of the beast. The name’s been changed but the game’s the same.
Hi Dennis
This was a good “flashing” on the 9/11…seems that, that old “flesh” is still bleeding
(have a good fun)

After reading this article,I was wondering what would Koch bros want out of aTrump presidency?
http://aanirfan.blogspot.com/2016/03/koch-brothers-making-america-right-wing.html
The Saker might just of answered my question. And the lucrative contract may be the answer, Russia=oil just so happens to be their money maker. Exploiting oil.
Rabel
Homo lobby? Is that across from the trans mezzanine?
Seriously tho…
Western nihilistic civilization expresses its parasitic value system by fetishsizing everything. Gay imperialism is the means by which a culture of life is destroyed.
This is how I know Putin is working for Russia, despite the protestations of closeted Nazi homosexuals.
OT… but is anyone else having this problem accessing RT.
I keep getting this message:
“Your connection is not secure.
The owner of http://www.rt.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.”
Or is this another strike against Russia by banning access to website??
I got through OK (in London). I’m using an older version of Firefox, from last year, because I don’t like the way it adds DISfeatures.
Just tried it in Firefox, Chrome and Yandex and all hooked up fine.
Thanks it is working now…
Isn’t the premise of this post a wrong question?
If, dare I suggest, there is to be real lasting change away from competition&conflict to caring&sharing and give&take and everything that follows these radical concepts in everyone of us. The question of ‘becoming an ally of the West’ could better be asked ‘will the West become an ally of Russia’.
But then East West North South would be just directions to go from here….that is if you’re starting from the right place….or, it’s all in the mind.
Trying to pick what Russia and the various factions of the powers that be are talking about?
A bit like predicting the little pockets of peace that magicians Putin and Lavrov made appear in Syria after waving their magic SU-34’s.
Trump sells amusement. he knows what amuses people. At the moment he is selling hope. Hope is in very short supply so it should sell well.
Trump rents out his name to any who pay the annual fee. Adding President of the US to the Trump name should increase the value nicely. Perhaps he can even grab a bit of the power from the powers that be.
There are unicorns, flying elephants dancing pigs, fairies and leprechauns too.
First trump is not the savior you make him out to be. Second, if he continues his ride he’ll meet a very unfortunate end, a bullet to the medulla, a plane crash, or a drug induced heart attack. Third, no matter who is the POTUS he makes no meaningfull decisions on his own. He/she is a puppet, let it sink in., he does what he is told. Fourth, how long have you resided here? Do you actually believe the public gives a damn about Russia. The brainwashed masses see Russia exactly the way the Murdock zionist media portrays them as. You are delusional if you believe otherwise. The public here in empire are not you or the majority of your readership. Wake up!#
Charles, murdoch and co do NOT have it all their own way, and yes, many people, at least in Britain, aren’t swallowing the MSM BS there, in fact, quite the opposite regarding Russia/Putin.
Trump proclaims the new zionist covenant.
Off topic, but if somebody has some more information about this action of 5 000 Swiss soldiers action organized by the Swiss government I will really appreciate the apgrade. Maybe this is just again the ill corrupted media another scare tactics who knows?
http://info.kopp-verlag.de/hintergruende/europa/udo-ulfkotte/schweiz-marschbefehl-fuer-5-soldaten.html
The 5.000 Swiss soldiers have given the “marshbefehl” – the order to reinforce the country’s borders, just in case if the EU shall sink into anarchy. That is a real question on the table for the Swiss authorities for over one year and deepened with the migrant-crisis.This in short words.
Suppose Russia and her brave comrades did become allies of the West. What axis would they be allied against? Humanity? The Earth?
Russia would have ended up delivering her carefully cultivated resistance to a Unipolar West.
Is the Wicked Witch of the Big Bad West going to become the Best of the Good Mannered and Moral New World of Liberty and Justice for All?
On another planet there’s a Russia in the same predicament but with a different spin, like two entangled electrons. On that other planet, Russia is telling Hillary and her warlords to go to hell where they came from and take their Western Basket with the poison apples with them.
Love loves freedom and gives us a choice. I’m packing my teleport bags for the other Russia; it’s not looking good here. I don’t blame Russians, just meat eating, pet keeping, marriage crippling, interest ripping and mental drugging nearly everywhere on this prison planet of the war-waifs. All those white-washed black holes of violence passing for white in the brain-washed minds of compliance.
If the Saker is even half-right about this ally business, it will be a miracle that even Jesus could not perform. I’m all in favor of that miracle and am doing my best to make it true.
I can also read the partners and allies program as parody or reality. I’d feel better if I knew what Kissinger had up his sleeve when he came bearing gifts to Putin the Bear. Bearing gifts from afar like a Star from the East is a trick the West knows Best.
The story’s old but it needs to be retold. Judas came bearing a gift of a kiss. Jesus bared his cheek and asked: “Do you betray the son of man with a kiss?” If I were Putin, I’d say “Do you betray the son of woman with a kiss?” Well, I suppose it was a more manly kiss of hands but the effects could be the same.
“Suppose Russia and her brave comrades did become allies of the West. What axis would they be allied against? Humanity? The Earth”
yes, what else ? As such I kind of agree with you, and disagree with the title of the post, namely, become an ally of the West…. What for? Just to bully and subjugate other lesser nations ?
Timeo Danaos et dona ferentes
“I fear the Danaans even those bearing gifts”
The difference between West and Russia is mostly spiritual as the big schism demonstrates. Russia represent the Future NWO based on a spiritual and true relationship between nations, while West represent materialist and human degraded counterparts of the humanity who want to install a NWO based on materialism and denegation of human being as demonstrated in the book 1984 by orwell.
So, don’t be worry of the issue: Russia will win even if it goes through a war. Russia shows the path to a unity of peoples.
What a grovelling attitude to the mortal enemy the englush parasites being shown here by russians
SAKER .. I have noticed that You are an outspoken Russian Patriot.
That is commendable !
But Your recent analysis above is a bit whishy washy and Ignores Geopolitical Facts.
Facts ..I am sure.. the Political leadership of Russia are acutely aware of .. as are the real Politcal Powers of the WEST : The JEWISH FINANCIAL and CORPORATE GLOBALISTS .
There is a fameous Geopolitical Doctrine (Mackinder) stated by numerous brilliant geopolitical thinkers and actors over time , that the one who controls the Center of Europe , also controls the remaining BIGGER appendixes . Some minor variances in defining the boundaries of this Central Europe Is of no importance.
The crux is the recognition of the crucial role of EUROPE.
Why is EUROPE important ?
Hardly at all .. if one reads Jewish Controlled GLOBALIST Media .. and also not if one reads Patriotic Russian media , including Your publication above..
But that is utterly misleading and intentionally demoralizing PROPAGANDA from both sides and out of vested Interests , exploiting the current Lame duck political situation within Europe . hammering the public European Opinion into believing THE GAME IS LOST .
Because one should NOT forget that Europe still is the BIGGEST ECONOMY of the World , with unsurpassed Infrastructure and over 500 Million highly educated work-disciplined Citicens, more than USA and RUSIA combined . Additionally probably with the strongest intellectual ,innovative and technical Capacity in the World . Furthermore also contrary to medial Desinformation with NO External Debt outside its Borders and Trading as well as Currency Balances in the Positive for the last 30 years at least. Europe doesn’t owe the World Money .. it is the other way around.
Sadly de-militarized and internally destabilized by the betrayal of its own leadership vis a vis its indigenous population and true interests .
The Atlantic Jewish controlled USA / UK are totally aware, that their own Super Power Status
would immediately cease to exist should they loose control over Europe.
And so is the Leadership of Russia aware that a neutral even friendly Europe would change the Security situation of Russia ..immidiately as well as open the prospect of immense economic progress for both parties , should a more intensive cooperation be established.
Because the Fact is Europe and Russia complement each other in an IDEAL WAY.
For a Bancrupt Zio Anglosaxonia .. such a situation is and has been a NIGHTMARE , because it would immediately delegate them to secondary status.
Therfore .. EUROPE … is the Prize being fought about
and the Jewish Globalists appear to be willing to DESTROY Europe rather than loosing it .
They have done that .. successfully ..previously… at least 2 times.
And these FACTS are the background for the Destabilisation which currently is being attempted vis a vis Europe .. so far successfully .
The European Financial Crisis , targeting the EURO , The Destruction in the Middle East, The Turmoil in East Europe , the Migrant Invasion are all part of these attempts of destabilizing Europe .
Made possible by corrupt and bribed Leaders in Europe in the Pocket of the JEWISH CORPORATE GLOBALISTS and in Confrontation with major parts of its own Populations .
THAT is .. what has WEAKENED ..EUROPE…. Nothing else !
It is no Coincidence that the leaders of the 3 biggest European Countries, Cameron , Hollande and Merkel are all of JEWISH decent .
These are the Geopolitical FACTS . Everyone insightfull knows it.
Pretending otherwise is just a DISTRACTION …
It is my sincere opinion and because I believe it is in the VITAL Interest of both parties that Russia should do its utmost to support those forces in Europe , currently … bordering on Totalitarism .. severely persecuted by a corrupt Zio globalist European Establishment..
An Establishment , Toilet rats who have their back against several Walls .. and therefore are Dangerous .
Considering the Sentiment in huge parts of European Populations ..
which many places is bordering to RAGE versus the ruling Elites
the current situation can be overcome … “ with a little Help ..from Your Friends “
for the Benefit of those actually involved .. the PEOPLE of Europe ..and Russia
Ole
Very good comment in my opinion and I think most Europeans share the same thoughts as well, the history, the geography and the common sense make that the best rational choice
@We can be pretty sure that if the Devil himself decided to appear somewhere in the USA or Europe and declared that he wanted to fight Russia, the West would give Satan full support, money, training, recognition, etc.
This pretty clearly defines the essence of the problem. It shows what in fact the “West” has become after centuries of apostasy. They did tirelessly work for the instauration of the global dominion of the Antichrist, from the very beginning of the Church: “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” (1 John, 4, 3). But there was someone who restrained him:
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thess, 3-12).
The West worked and now works even harder to remove the last restraints.
You say, “We can be pretty sure that if the Devil himself decided to appear somewhere in the USA or Europe and declared that he wanted to fight Russia, the West would give Satan full support, money, training, recognition, etc.”
Actually, he is already in charge.
I don’t know, when I read the title and the contents, I feel like, “what ? you still harbor such hope ? what’s wrong with you ?” :-)
The hope is that:
” the Lord shall consume (the Wicked one) with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming”.
I think I have read all 73 comments as of the time of adding my own on. I conclude that the coining by Saker of the question, “Could Russia Still Become an Ally of the West” by Saker is a somewhat unfortunate choice of word composition.
Because, if it DID become an ally of the West, with the West remaining in its present spiritually comatose condition, it is quite clear that almost everyone here, myself included, would be in almost irreversible despair. The main thing that gives most visitors here hope is Russia’s resistance to being a dismembered, looted and sexually confused eunuch former sovereign state like so much of the West is, itself. You never want to “ally’ with that sort of disgusting monstrosity! Ever!!. You want parts of that Empire to recover at least some modicum of decency and dignity a generation or two before you could even take them off the hostile adversary list due to change evidenced by an improvement in their morality and culture, which is today not in sight among the masses, although it is in sight in growing smaller pockets of resistance whose discovery is continually surprising me. The kind of thing Internal Exile analyzes in this thread.
No, that formulation of Saker’s seems to inquire, “Can Russia Change and be Accepted by the West?” and no one here wants any part of that possibility! A better formulation, or title for Saker’s essay would, IMHO would be, “Can the People of the West, With Some Help and Understanding from Russia Depose Its Criminal Elites and Not be an Enemy to Russia?”
That’s the real task here, isn’t it???
And judging by the nearly flawless grammar of most commenters here (and silent visitors as well, I imagine) aren’t most of us OF the West???? So, isn’t it our job to force the truth out on 9/11, instead of complaining that Putin doesn’t do that for us????
Some comments have the right spirit (Grieved comes to mind), but despite erudition and expertise I get the sense from many others of a bit much of the “amen choir” phenomenon of either passive admiration verging on adulation of Vladimir Putin, or hand-wringing pessimism that he may disappoint us, or be killed before he gets the whole job done.or grooms a successor half as good as himself. Ordinary Americans or other westerners who haven’t been turned into fear-ridden robots under mind control don’t have any trouble getting along with Russian people. But they are not mentally free, they are slaves without minds of their own, until something inside or from the outside breaks their chains of illusion and deception. It’s happening, but not yet at critical mass for a real chain reaction of consciousness. But its building.
Meanwhile, Russia should NOT ally with the West until we wake up, and take our societies back. That may take a long time and it may take civil wars, and sad to say, it may not happen in our lifetimes. Although it could. It absolutely could. Meanwhile, Russia must be wary and patient and we must break the mind control of our satanic elites over our families, friends and neighbors and work so that the potential tomorrow is a bit better than it was this morning.
an ally ?
What a nonsens.
Trump is just a one person, even if he’s elected it changes nothing.
USA already has done unrecoverable damage to Russian Federation, like Permanent Russo-phobia on Eastern borders.
…
I could go mention issues all night, and someone talking about ALLY must be a coward, or UTOPIAN.
Saker has clearly been smoking something good! The US does not need an ally in Russia it needs a slave. Period. Russia can offer the US nothing, if it is not servitude. It does not matter who the US president is, Trump or anybody else. Have we already forgotten the George W Bush campaign in 2000? He spoke just like Trump. He was supposed to be more reluctant to intervene abroad than Clinton. The Russians loved him. He saw into Putin’s soul and liked what he saw. The rest is history.
The fact is Trump is a bully personally. And he will be a bully as president. Trump springs from that very business/financial elite that raped Russia in the 1990s. Forget what the man says on the campaign trail. Look at who he is, where he comes from and what his interests are. Trump will be much worse for Russia than Bush or Obama. He does not know how to take NYET! for an answer. Yet its Russia’s historic mission to say no to the US at this time.
Totally agree.
An exercise in waste. As soon as Putin is gone the Russian fifth column will offer Russia to the west on a platter. All your hypothetical presumptions would hold if Russia were a truly sovereign country. So let us get back to basics.
@annonymous
except, putin has been made Putin by the support of 80plus percent of the electorate. he represents the state of mind, not so much the state of russia. in other words, once his term is up, hislikely succesor will probably have sergey ivanov’s name on the badge, not some 8%er fifth columnist.
Here is an example of the kind of ally the West wants. And that is South Korea. Where the new school geography books show Sakhalin Island as part of Japan. And when corrected by parents of students the teachers and book publishers said the Island was “disputed” and only the Education Ministry could correct the books “if” they were wrong. No,Russia will never be able to be friends with the West until the West is destroyed and rebuilt to do away with NATO and Russophobia. Until then dreaming about an alliance with them is purely a dream.Any Russian still thinking of that would be a 5th column traitor. There is no other viable explanation for that kind of thinking.
http://putinrossiya.ru/1780-yuzhnaya-koreya-priznala-sahalin-territoriey-yaponii.html
Noop! The west/USA wants vassals not equals. The West/USA does not even look as equals West/Europeans. Except for Britain all others are just that “the Others” and as such they as regarded as vassals.
That’s what Paul Craig Roberts says too. This is why I also call Ukraine USUkraine, and I suggest everyone else does too.
the british delusion of the ‘special relationship’ with USA?
i’ve heard several ‘american leaders who don’t even know what
that’s supposed to mean, apart from the bush/blair love-in.
Salaam.
The ‘West’ and Russia can only be allies if the latter agrees to have it’s territorial integrity violated and it gives up it’s Orthodox heritage.
Is there not a loss of explanatory information in lumping together as “the West” Lithuania and Poland from the thirteenth century onward, Napoleon, Hitler, and the neoliberals of the 1990s? Each was specific to its time. And there are other considerations like geography and the waxing and waning of states that help explain the movement of peoples from east to west and west to east across the plains of Europe. It risks distortion to ascribe it all to some irrational hostility of “Papist” West (bad) toward Orthodox Mother Russia (good).
And what is this conspiracy of freemasons? I know there were freemasons in all sorts of positions in lots of countries – but a conspiracy to subvert Orthodox Mother Russia (good)?
It’s about time somebody throws in a dissonant two-bob-worth alert among the members of this MAS (Mutual Admiration Society). It wasn’t too long ago that two, at the time, ‘great leaders of Russia’, sold their country and people down the (‘West’) river. At the time, the only opposition came from the brave Duma, bombarded into submission by the glorious Red Army.
Wake up! The Russian oligarchy holds influential positions in the political, economic, financial and information sectors and it’s only a matter of time before their ‘Western partners’ give the usual order for regime change. Note what happened to to Libya, Syria and Ukraine (and many others before) because the festering CIA-led 5th column was allowed enough leeway to incite armed rebellion and open the doors to ‘humanitarian interventions’. Russia is not immune to the same internal cancer.
Exactly, comrade, and for some to check how really was carried out the betrayal of the Russian people and all work made in the path to a prosperous socialist society, I leave here this translation into Spanish of a document by comrade Kurt Gossweiler, from the Austrian Communist Party, about the exploits of the sold foreign agents, so called “comrades” Krushchev and Gorbachov:
( A MUST READ, for those interested in the truth about the falling of the former USSR and the scam of what were object the Russian people and their huge effort through years of work and wars. Try to translate, as it is very long and I do not see the point in translating isolated fragments of the text, being all what is said there very interesting and important ):
“How could it be the revisionist subversion?”
https://culturaproletaria.wordpress.com/2016/03/10/como-fue-posible-la-subversion-revisionista/
Thank you comrade Elsi for the link – and be addressed as comrade,
My allusion to ‘two great leaders’ meant Gorbachov and Yeltsin, the latter being idolised as the new Messiah who would bring ‘Western affluence and freedom to the oppressed masses of communism’. Instead, they got unprecedented poverty and saw the accumulated wealth of the country expropriated by the Wall Street-backed (mostly jew) robber barons. Was it a coincidence that the jews were predominant in the early Bolshevik set-up and also in the final destruction of the Soviet Union? One wonders…
Your link may open up another layer covering up the mysterious end of the hopes, not only of the Russian people but also of the whole humanity, for a fair world as enshrined by the French revolutionaires: Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite. Capitalism is the anthithesis of it, therefore the mortal enemy of all of us. But there is still a shining beacon left in Cuba and the question is: for how long? Regardless, we will keep that hope in our hearts, unassailable and for ever.
Kim
elsi,
Comrade, you have brought out an old question that begs answer, for the benefit of the future mankind: what are the pernicious roles of the “sold foreign agents”- how the Soviet Union leaders who were ideological agents of the AngloZionist imperialist-capitalist-fascist Oligarchy, wanted to wreck the socialist systems of east European countries like USSR, Poland, Czechoslovakia.
The filthy traitors were planted there in the Soviet Party right from the beginning (around 1905 to 1935 Trotsky and his Zionist group), 1945 to 1965 Khrushchev, 1975 to 1995 Gorbachev-Yeltsin duo completed the task of destruction of the first experimental socialist state in the world.
Please read the following book by Furr, on how Khrushchev staged the anti-Stalin propaganda (which split the world-wide communist movement not to recover again):
https://archive.org/stream/pdfy-nmIGAXUrq0OJ87zK/Khrushchev%20Lied_djvu.txt
…Er…?
…And even when the Ukronazis burned over 100 civilians in Odessa, the West fully backed them again
There is now evidence of the Turks burning some 150 Kurds in Cizre, and the West is fully backing Turkey, turning a blind eye to the war on its own people. Both the examples of Odessa and Cizre reveal the sheer hypocrisy of the West and its desperation to steer the narrative and keep hold of the reins. It is so sickening, so contemptuous, and the news editors who run along with this (and don’t wish to go there or just ignore these stories) show themselves as true helpers and assistants to these murderers. No doubt they will agree to repeat the Turkish version that these were not civilians but “terrorists”.
I still can’t get my head around how Russia is supposed to become an ally of an Anglo Zionist Empire? How is that supposed to work? Where is the middle ground here? Do you clear away the bodies of a million Iraqis and Syrians, plonk down the table and chairs, and then start talking?
The phrase “jumping the shark” springs to mind when I read this article.
People want to join groups of strong, rich, powerful and famous. Russia , if given an equal choice, won’t be an exception. They are white and European and would want to be be in their group. Unfortunately, people running the group are jealous of the resources, talent and potential that Russian hold and want Russia to be an inferior partner.
Russians could have agreed to be an “ally” of West by agreeing to them in Georgia, Ukraine, Syria and other places. Western media would talk about Putin as a “good leader” and Russians would become “one of us”. Allying with West means – toeing their line. Even amongst BRICS – why some countries are more agreeable than others – because they are willing to be Western allies if given a chance.
People can hate me for saying that – but I will pray Russians never becoming an “ally of West”. They will do World (and more importantly themselves) a justice. They are too big to be ally as per West definition. West and Russia cana have some common interest but they are essentially very different. They are the only nation to have a backbone that even Americans have doubt their military/finance power can break. Most importantly – in all these years, they should realise – in their hearts, West will never accept them as their ally.
I have heard a saying – If you can’t defeat them, join them. It will take some time but eventually EU/NATO/US will realise they can’t beat Russians (heaven forbid if Russia is beaten – it would be catastrophe for free world). Than Russia will get a chance to be an equal partner. And than Russia will be a Western ally. And than Russians won’t need Chinese, Indians, Vietnamese, Cubans, Africans and others. During an informal chat amongst “educated people” in my known circle – it was agreed that a multi-polar world is best for everyone. Despite all talks – China is not a pole (at least for now). And Russia joining hand with West – is power back to a single pole – and we all know whose pole.
Very valid and astute comments. The problem is that the Russian hankering for being a part of the “West” is a centuries-old Russian trait. Read Tolstoy and other Russian literature and you will find that the Russian nobility preferred to use French to set themselves apart from the unwashed masses. Putin, for all his statesmanship, has the same itch to be a part of the West. The Saker, again for all his analytical brilliance, has the same weakness. This problem is historic and structural; it won’t go away. And it most certainly will extract a price, namely, reduction of Russia to its proper place in the international pecking order. Read the socio-economic theories of the “core-periphery divide” and World Systems Theory and you will realize that for all of Putin’s recent standing up to the West, in the longer run Russia will gravitate down to its proper place in international hierarchy. There was a fleeting moment, during the Soviet times, when it looked like Russia was creating an alternative world economy, a different pole of world civilization, an alternative culture, an alternative philosophy for man to live with his fellow-men; that was when there was some hope that Russia might lead a new world order. That mission, alas, failed, but again basically for structural reasons that are at the heart of the core-periphery divide. If the Soviet project could fail despite the moral support of half the world’s peoples, and despite so many other Soviet advantages, the current Russian project rests on far fewer props, and is much more likely to eventually fail. The Russian elites are therefore naturally keen to always keep their bets hedged, and this talk of “Being accepted into the West” is partly an old story repeating itself and partly a hedge.
“Russia is ready to struggle through a long period of ‘warm warfare’ against the West, if needed, but that hardly means that this is good for Russia”
More on point: The West isn’t good for anybody except the ruling Zionazis and their hangers-on. It’s a pure kakistocracy whose “ethos” amounts to burning hatred, contempt, disgust, greed, and overt satanism. Fighting the scum is quite a sacrifice, sure, but it pays off immensely. Human civilization is hanging in the balance.
Russia and the non-Western world would have zero problems getting on if each and every piece of Euro-trash were wiped off the face of the planet. The opposite is not the case.
Good gracious me, with comments like that what hope do we have for peace ?
Could Russia still become an ally of the West? No.
Could Russia become an ally of certain factions of the west to work against other factions of the west? Yes.
Sidebar: when that happens I will look with a definite sense of glee and even Schadenfreude the the Baltic States and Central European countries who fancied themselves as an important and attractive “ally” for the West against Russia only to realize that neither the West nor Russia give a damn about them].
Sorry to bring this future disappointment to you Saker. It will not happen, not on its own; not without a push.
History tells us that no single capitalist occupied/allied country ever changed camp without massive upheaval. Once in, they are not allowed to escape. The last one to do so was Iran back in the 1979 when Carter was temporarily paralysed by his ‘moral foreign policy’. Years before, the Australian Whitlam government was brought down, because Gough wanted to see the inside workings to the US spy base at Pine Gap and was about to implement an ambitious plan for nationalisation of energy and vital resources. The Carnation Revolution in Portugal was steered away from its socialist path by massive CIA intervention under ambassador Carlucci and NATO’s Gladio terror. The same fate fell on Allende in Chile, Goulart in Brazil and Isabel Peron in Argentina. Greece was twice ‘intervened’ (‘civil’ war and the Colonel’s Coup), Indonesia, Vietnam.. etc, etc. the list is long, culminating with Iraq (Hussein was ‘our guy’ when fighting Iran, but ‘bad guy’ when he fell into the Kuwait trap and ‘badder guy’ when he wanted to ditch the dollar), then Gaddafi (he also wanted to ditch the dollar and set up a pan-African currency) and currently Assad because Syria is in the way of pipelines and Zion’s expansionism. Ukraine is a different kettle of fish, but it followed the general trend of bringing into the fold of capitalist exploitation all countries with a semblance of socialist leanings.
And there you are. Unless Russia does something more than calling its avowed enemies ‘partners’ and ‘colleagues’, it is doomed to complete encirclement and eventual ‘colour’ revolution according to script. The silver lining in this otherwise gloomy cloud is the current opportunity open to Russia to exploit the advantages offered by Syria and Ukraine to break NATO into smithereens and defang FUKUS empire.
Putin showed bold resolve and strategic acumen in his Crimean move, but it was not his initiative – he simply reacted to events manufactured by the Empire. But he failed the open invitation to go further and back Novorussyia to the hilt and recovery its entire territory. After all, the sanctions, accusations, demonizations and all the shit thrown at Putin and Russia were the same whether the Novorussians took an inch or a mile. In for a penny, in for a pound, that’s the old saying.
A similar opening opened itself with the shoot-down of the Su-24 and Putin failed to seize the opportunity to deal a smashing blow to the perceived NATO monolith. Had he ordered a salvo of Kalibrs from the Caspian to pulverize the airbase from whence the Turkish fighters originated (an action of justified retaliation in international law for unprovoked aggression), he would get some flack from the usual places but his stature as a great statesman and defender of Russia and the free world would be greatly enhanced across the planet. Er-dog-an would trot to Brussels to invoke the 5th Article, a lot of clamour and hullabaloo would emanate from the usual sources but no-one would dare to lift a finger to harm Russia and no European country would risk its safety for saving Er-dog-an’s arse. Putin would have shown to the world that the Empire has no clothes and the Balts, Poles and other sorts come to the realisation that the sane and safest way is to accept the hand of friendship Russia has offered many times.
Pity Putin did not ‘carpe diem’ then; such chance may never happen again.

Why not Canada?
I am one who remembers the hundreds of unwelcome, trouble making American buffoons that infested (occupied) my home town of Edmonton Alberta during WW2 AND the small groups of Russian pilots quietly window-shopping on Jasper Ave. while waiting for their Lend Lease aircraft to take back to the REAL WAR.
And having read a lot about Russia/China/Brics/SCO trade events, I am asking myself, “Why not join them?” (Just a narrow strip of water to bother us – and that should soon be ice-free.) Give our new government a try. Maybe there are some balls there. MAN OH MAN! would I love to be around to watch the disturbance among the animals to the south of us!
[Sure would rattle some of our Canadian Ukonazis, though (-:]
@ Keith Leal
We are always learning something new! Russian pilots window shopping in Edmonton during WW2! Poor sods, perhaps they did not have any money to go in… Why did they end up there? Training? Surely not on leave.

Kim, Keith said they were picking up lend lease aircraft to take back to the real war. It would seem Edmonton would be a last major stop before heading over the north pole to the USSR with American built planes for the Soviet war effort. I doubt if they lingered very long, unless waiting for weather to clear. I agree, an interesting contribution by Keith. Completely plausible story we’d probably never know without meeting here.
@ Keith Leal
Read the post above (Anonymous – Kim) regarding captive countries not allowed to escape. Sorry mate, not on.
Unless you (Canada) lend a helping hand to Russia’s recovery of Alaska, sold privately by the Tzar. My knowledge of things legal suggest that Russia could denounce the sale contract for being unconscionable and the seller having no right to sell national territory, hence defective title. After all the Yanks got the reputation of having forked tongues for never abiding contracts anyway. Ask the locals..
In exchange, the Ruskies would help you to re-enact the 1812 event and burn down the WH (you know what I mean.)

I don’t trust Trump half the distance that I can throw the Eiffel tower, and neither should anyone else – for very good reasons.
that link was thought provoking…. but the snippet that
was key for me was that the ‘good doctor’ intimated
that these narcisists/psychopaths (whatever) do nearly
always claw their way to power over people to a greater
or lesser degree depending on their objectives.
therefore i conclude trump (as diagnosed) is no
better or worse than many of ‘the leaders of the free world.’
the viscious attacks on trump notwithstanding; the things
that are being published about both clintons is even worse
as it seems to be based on actual (covered up) evidence.
and bushes are no angels either. i don’t know why he took
such a risk but bush the elder was reported to have said…
”if people really found out what we’ve been up to, there would
be a revolution tomorrow.”
Chris Hedges has identified Trump as a dangerous neo-fascist in the model of Milosevic or Sarah Palin. Also, Noam Chomsky identifies Trump as a danger to the future existence of humanity. I wonder how this site can get it so wrong!
As evident, especially during the last few days, there is a concerted effort to make it impossible for Trump to be elected. Which had to be expected, if not else, because the Zionist media, that is, all mass-media, has declared war on him – even though Trump has attempted (apparently without success), to deflect the Zionist wrath by statements about friendship with Israel, etc.
Apart from any other considerations, American culture hates change, in proportion as it declares itself progressive. Part of this collective frame of mind is the notion that nowhere else in the world, conditions of life are better than in America.
Some may still remember the case of Amanda Knox, the American girl involved in a sordid sex-orgiastic murder in Italy. She was found guilty and condemned, only to be released on appeal on technicalities. After all, the servant has no claims against the wrongdoings of the master’s daughter.
But for her parents the greatest worry was not her murder, rather, the fear that their daughter may be imprisoned in an Italian jail, as if Texas prisons were a model of correctional education, rather than the hellish pits of which sometimes we hear of.
It is an American syndrome, the core of an ideology, that is, a feeling of exceptionalism even affecting the man in the street, whereby “everyone wants to come here”, hence here is The Best.
A kind of autistic mythology sucked from the media, the families and the school, which also makes imperialism presentable and successful, especially when paraded as the export of a superior civilization. But the more this sense of superiority develops the more, however confusedly, it engenders a sense of encirclement (of America) by life-styles felt as threats to their own.
Trump is not really a threat of this magnitude. But I suspect that the rabid, bi-partisan hatred of Trump also reflects a deep-seated fear of change in an accepted and ingrained mode of thought – fear aptly supported, promoted and inflamed by the Zionist boat-masters.
@Voltaire
Thank you for your lucid expose of the American mind-set, which explains and answers many questions.
Yet, I don’t think they object to Trump’s ideological make-up or populist appeal, which are both irrelevant to the political status quo. The candidates just profess a variety of views of the same thing; there is no difference in substance, the usual smoke and mirrors stage props, Tweedledee Tweedledum fashion, and the winner will do as told, and irrelevant figure-head. But they object because he is not from the Establishment.
there is a hardcore of Anglo Saxon elites who view Slavs as Untermensch or ‘Sub-human’ and they will never ever accept them as their social, political, moral or cultural equals, even if they have to burn the earth to a cinder in the process.
They are quite right viewing their most devout Slavic proselytes — Psheks and Ukros — as grovelling utter lowlives. Ditto the abominable Russian liberals. As someone astutely pointed out in another thread recently, in case of a Russian defeat the latter would have to make a living as hot dog vendors. Psheks and Ukros are happily exploring the realms of toilet cleaning, commodified sex, and petty crime.
Like I’ve said b4 I still think the anglo-zionist or what I like to call them ashkanazi-khazarian mafia will still have control over him . His daughter and son are both married to anglo-zionist. The only thing that makes me like Trump is he speaks like an isolationist and the US have not had any isolationist since Roosevelt era. During that era the Us had to have the false flag event of Pearl Harbour . Their is enough documentation out their that suggest the Us military was well aware of the Japanese bombers . The had seen it from the Pacific Islands way before Hawaii wanting to bomb Pearl Harbour . Roosevelt let them bomb it so he could deal with the isolationist cause nobody wanted to go to war hence Pearl Harbour and viola Us enters the war The first world war was the same the Lousitania event. What intrigues me and makes me wonder why are all the establishment and the MSM so against him along with Aipac Nuland and her Husband all hate him Kagan Nuland husband a well established neo-con in Washington even publicly stated that if he gets the GOP nomination he will vote for Clinton. Hence I want him to win even if he is opposite me on the political spectrum. I don’t trust Bernie Sanders with regards to the Palestinian question but like I mentioned b4 Trumps kids are both married to anglo-zionist. So either way these Palestinians are doomed. But the fact that Trump is the only one out of all the candidates that does not want to pick a fight with Russia and also publicly stated he Likes Putin their is a chance for detente. Where as Bernie has stated he will be hard on the Russians.
I agree with what you wrote and you used a key word, “isolationist”… That is, indeed, the thing to admire in Trump. People think that saying Trump is refreshing and different means one endorses him. We haven’t had an isolationist debate or campaign since before WWII in the United States! I think people who haven’t lived here have no idea how exciting it is to hear isolationist ideas in a political debate. You can see through the BS of Trump and know exactly who/what he is (billionaire jerk from NYC), and still applaud the stance. You’re right, on foreign policy Bernie is more of the same old crap. Isolationism used to be a very proud intellectual stance in the USA.
Maybe the west could still become an ally of Russia……..

You know what, honestly I didn’t even read this article. The header just made me want to vomit. Who wants to be a partner of the “West”?
They will soon kill one another – ruled by the Freemasons and their banksters, which by the way brought them to their ruin by printing money from thin air.
Oups, let’s loot the third world, Russia & the Brics.
Remedy : That’s cancer and it needs to be isolated from the good parts of this world.
When the delineation is accomplished, they will kill one another, WWII and WWI, come to mind…need I go back further into time ?
HA, HA, are you kidding? The ruling class wants war.
As your e-friend Paul Craig Roberts wrote here, “Politicizing Sports”:
http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2016/03/13/politicizing-sports-paul-craig-roberts/
I remember from my studies of post-Roman Europe that various rulers to the extent that they could mint coins featured the Roman Emperor on the coins, not themselves. The reason for this, I was told, is that people associated coinage with Rome and were accustomed to a Roman image. To make their coinage acceptable, petty kings identified their coins with Rome.
Perhaps this is what we are witnessing today in Russia and China’s acceptance of Western domination. The United States and Europe—the West—comprise the hallmark of approval. Russia and China, despite their independent power, desire this approval. The West knows that Russia and China seek approval and denies it to them as an assertion of the West’s superiority.
It is not Russia and China that destroyed seven countries in the past 15 years. It was Washington and its European vassals. It is not Washington that is accused of human rights violations that are so severe that millions of peoples are fleeing into Europe in order to escape death at the hands of the Americans. It is Russia’s attack on ISIS that is blamed for the European refugee problem. It is Russia and China that are accused of human rights violations, not the real perpetrators—Washington and its vassals.
The West uses disapproval as a weapon. Washington disapproved the Sochi Olympics. While Putin was in Sochi, Washington overthrew the government of Ukraine and created a problem for Russia. While Putin was at the Beijing Olympics, Washington gave the go ahead to its Georgian puppet to attack South Osetia and to kill Russian peacekeepers. Certainly, Putin shoud not go to the Brazilian Olympics this year. Washington might overthrow Putin in his absence. Certainly, Washington wants to be rid of Putin, and so do the Russian Atlanticist Integrationists whose sole ambition is to be an approved part of the West. Just as Washington had its Ukranian puppet government lined up to take office once Washington overthrew Yanukovych, Washington has Atlanticist Integrationists lined up as its puppet governemt to take over Russia.
It is ironic that it is the hallmarked West, not the disapproved countries, that is in decline, culurally, morally, spiritually, and economically. Why do Russia, China, India, and every other country free of US imperial domination desire to be associated with a corrupt, immoral, declining part of the world whose economic and political existence depends on extending its hegemony over the remaining productive parts of the world in order to loot the countries for the benefit of the West?
Why are Russia and China concerned that they receive the approval of the West?
# # #
In any event, this will not end well…
@ V.L.
Full marks for your post. Indeed, the only purpose of NATO is to disguise US hegemony and intervention all over the planet as ‘the international community’. And the motive is looting all resources, human and physical, to prop a valueless dollar.
Kim
You know, it’s possible if Trump is honorable and does what he’s been saying, the answer is yes.
But note what’s happening to Trump, the only candidate who wants to make a deal with Russia and supports her anti-terror campaign:

After Trump won the Michigan and Missouri primaries with strong numbers, the establishment went into panic mode. They arranged a meeting between execs of top technology companies Apple, Facebook, and Google, and the members of the GOP establishment including Karl Rove, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Ben Sasse and Kevin McCarthy.
The conspirators met on a private island off the coast of Georgia called Sea Island. Their goal? To plot how to stop the GOP front runner—Donald Trump. We don’t know what plans the elite concocted at this meeting because it was invitation-only. However, we may glean the nature of the plan from the events that followed.
After the meeting, the next Republican debate in Miami was a muted affair. Rubio, Cruz, and Kasich mostly laid back. While they did throw some light punches in Trump’s direction, it was probably the most civil debate to date. Did the other candidates know that the establishment had something in store for Trump?
The very next day, Trump was scheduled to have a rally in Chicago. MoveOn.org, Bernie Sanders supporters, and other leftwing groups coordinated a massive protest. This was combined with hundreds of threats of violence on social media, including threats against Trump’s life. To preserve the safety of his supporters, Trump canceled the rally.
Immediately after the cancellation, I noticed that all the networks suddenly were carrying the same story—how Donald Trump’s words provoke his followers to violence. There was nothing about the threats on social media to assassinate Trump. Only this unprovable allegation that Trump’s words somehow caused his supporters turn violent…
Some of the media outlets say that Trump’s message about building a wall and putting a temporary ban on Islamic immigration are somehow inherently violent. But those policies are several months old. Why did the violence narrative suddenly take hold? I believe that this was a coordinated attack by the media, which is owned and controlled by the elite.
If you would have asked me one year ago, I would have said that this was a crazy idea. But after we all lived through the attack upon Return of Kings surrounding the meetups, where dozens of news outlets in different countries all carried the same false message, it is clear that media coordination does take place.

It’s not working; he may yet win. As Pat Buchanan writes, “What we see at Sea Island is that, despite all their babble about bringing the blessings of “democracy” to the world’s benighted, AEI, Neocon Central, believes less in democracy than in perpetual control of the American nation by the ruling Beltway elites.”
https://www.lewrockwell.com/2016/03/patrick-j-buchanan/conspiracy-oligarchs-neocons-establishment-republicans/
If people challenge the elites, perhaps peace and cooperation have a chance. I don’t know that Trump is the key; it may be that if there are sufficient numbers supporting Occupy Peace, they can be stopped from perpetual war.

does the following explain a lot???
“According to some military experts, which agree many Russian (and not only Russian) scientists, the conflict between Russia and the United States has much deeper roots than just a fight for the leadership of the two leading powers of the world.
CIA report fell into the hands of Russian security services, trained more in 1980, a candidate for the post of US President R. Reagan, which refers to the planetary catastrophes coming twenty-first century, during which the American continent will be destroyed. Flood, who will cover the earth in the near future will not touch only the Russian Siberia.
It was since then the United States and set a goal to capture Siberia in order to survive the American nation. To do this, first was the collapse of the Soviet Union, then the task was breaking up Russia, its environment hostile countries and so on. As we see now, something America was quite successful: the USSR, the Americans successfully destroyed, and made every effort to crush the Russian Federation (the war in Chechnya), and surrounded by its enemies, spent in the former friendship with the Russian republics of the so-called Orange Revolution …
During the reign Gorbachev and Yeltsin Americans strongly bought Russian property in Siberia, the Siberian land bought by them so far, although the Russian law is strictly prohibited (sale of land to foreigners). But there is a proven mechanism works -. Indestructible and so longed for many American dollar
is believed (and not unreasonably) Russian experts, the United States will not stop before the military strike, and when they realize that they can not see Siberia as their own ears. It is no coincidence they all these years, so strenuously built up weapons of his country and NATO, as if they wanted to fight not with Russia, and soon the whole world. To this end, they bend under him and Western Europe, and the EU is almost turned into a puppet (well it’s clear to see that the leaders of Western countries, to the detriment of its economy, and contrary to the opinion of the people, continue sanctions against Russia).
What about the Flood, did he really is?
Today it is not just the prophets, but scientists admit this version of events in the world. We now live in an interglacial period, and the planetary catastrophe threatens us not from the mythical warming due to the greenhouse effect on the planet are just legitimate processes: melting Greenland ice, increases sea levels, cools the warm Gulf Stream and more. And all this together face unpredictable disasters to all mankind. And Siberia is seen in this context of the promised land, to which each of us is committed for life in their dreams. Siberia can be called planetary “Noah’s Ark”, that’s just all the places it is most likely not enough …
What will happen in terms of “Flood”, then you can only say (scratching turnips) with inescapable enthusiasm Russian man: wait – see …”

Saker is too optimistic, West has just burned the last standing bridges to Euro-Asia. Nothing will ever be like before, even if you put Santa as the next USA president. Don’t fool yourself with “What is true is that most Russian look at the West with a sense of disgust, but ‘most Russians’ are not sitting in the Kremlin.” as it doesn’t hold water. Putin has a high rating because he does what the Nation wants and expects him to do, not because of him doing what ever he wanted and the public just happen to like it… So I would say that it is close to all Russians are sitting in Kremlin…
