President-elect Donald Trump says he wants to improve relations with Russia. The Russian President Vladimir Putin tells us he agrees. What does it mean to have better relations and will the American foreign policy establishment allow this to happen?
CrossTalking with Daniel McAdams, an Executive Director of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, and Andrew Langer, a President of the Institute for Liberty.
This show is premature
Why not wait and see who Trump surrounds himself with and gives jobs too.
We could just get more neo – cons as it is so embedded in the culture of the U.S. govt.
The answer to having “Central and Eastern Europe” to not feel threatened is to say to them “stop it,stop pushing for war.Suck it up Nancy, and stop it”. As long as they keep acting the way they are, then they will have that ridiculous groundless fear. While I do think they need to get old line “Russian experts” back in. They need to realize that today’s Russia is a “new Russia”,its not the USSR.Putin and the “new” Russians aren’t Communists. So the old Kremlinologist thinking isn’t adequate for today.
I’m not sure that having Japan’s PM becoming friendly with Trump is a good idea. The guest seems to see that as a trade agreement possibility.I see it as Abe trying to get Trump to become more anti-Chinese.He doesn’t need to meet with Trump over trade. But a close person to person relationship would be important for Japan to convince Trump of the “need” to stand up to China more.
As to Ukraine.I also don’t see, unless the US is willing to totally withdraw from there (very doubtful in my opinion) what arrangement (deal) that is good could be made. There are some in Russia (I believe) that still seem to have the fantasy that they can “deal” with the junta in power there . As I recall Stalin also believed he could “deal” with the nazi regime in Germany. That didn’t go so well. And neither would dealing with fascists in Ukraine work well. There is “no” agreement that can be made, that allows the junta to remain in power. That would bring security for the people of Donbass, and other pro-Russians in Ukraine,no agreement. That needs to be clearly understood. There is no room for “maybe’s” there. That should have been understood in 2004,with the first maidan, but it wasn’t .That should have been understood in 2008 over Georgia, but it wasn’t. That certainly should have been understood in 2014 with the last maidan. But that too, doesn’t seem to be totally understood. And I can’t understand why it isn’t,it needs to be.Word’s like in the video of “Kiev needs to be made to implement Minsk” ,are totally worthless. Even if they pretended to,they can’t be trusted to not go back on their word. As soon as Donbass is back under their control. We’d see the purges start. And a “night of the long knives” take place. Making deals with nazis fits Einstein’s comment on the definition of insanity,”doing the same thing over and over. Thinking you’ll get different results”.
“Japan’s PM becoming friendly with Trump” – not possible
“a close person to person relationship” – not possible
Abe-san in this context is not a person, is a job, a “face”:

Anonymous above, about “honne” vs. “tatemae” was me, “SeptikSceptik”.
Could be I forgot to fill in the “Name” field or the systems behaved strange for some reason …
A bit early to say what sort of moves trump may make in regard to Russia, but the Philippine leader is quite up front about his views about future relations.
Western nations start wars they are scared to fight themselves – Duterte to Putin at APEC summit
https://www.rt.com/news/367531-putin-duterte-west-peru-apec/
“Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has met Vladimir Putin for the first time at the APEC summit in Peru, praising his Russian counterpart’s leadership skills and blaming the West for “bigotry,” terrorizing smaller nations and warmongering.
According to the Philippines president, his country was always looking to become part of the Western world, “but now the Western nations are making attempts to attack small states and to intimidate them.”
Such behavior is “the sign of bigotry” on the part of the US and its allies, he added.
“They begin wars which they are scared to fight themselves,” Duterte said.
He blamed Washington for unleashing conflicts in many countries – Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere as part of its “destructive policies.”
I think the zpc/nwo has lost control of their Philippines colony. Will there be one of those soros style color revolution attempts? Or will it be one of those traditional american military quisling coup attempts?
I hope Trump isn’t another Obamamouse….
I think its too early to say if he’s pardoned Hillary etc. And I’m glad he made those two phone calls.
I think that says alot.
