Daashing out of Iraq: Recent Military Maneuvers
The timing of the Kurdish advance west in Daash held territory appears to be a well planned operation. Three events are significant.
The first was that the advance and confrontation of the Kurds did not begin till the return of Former President Jalal Talibani. He is pragmatic and astute as opposed to Massoud Barzani who is Kurdish nationalistic and believed to be close to Israel. A deal was being reported where he, Talibani, allowed the Iranians to send in 200 “Advisors”; this was denied by the Iranian press. But it is possible that the Kurds are now being “advised” by the Iranians.
The second is the death of Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Mohammed al-Haj, who the Hezbollah confirmed was killed/martyred in Mosul, Iraq. This is very significant as the commander was killed deep in Daash territory. Three members of Iran’s Elite Qods Brigade have also been killed in Iraq. Kamal Shirkhani in June near Samarra, Ali Reza Moshajari mid June in Karbala, and Shojaat Alamdari Mourjani in Samarra Early July.
The third is the official backing, at this stage purely symbolic, of the Iraqi government to Sunni opposition groups willing to fight/already fighting Daash in Mosul. Also recent comments made by Sunni politicians that request the Iraqi Air Force to avoid civilian casualties and work closely with the Peshmergas and comments backing Sunni Militias opposed to Daash indicate an aligning of interests.
On a political and military level, the three sides appear to be aligning against their common enemy. The Iraqi Air Force/Army Aviation is now flying sorties for the Peshmergas. However, there is bound to have been some quid pro quo between the Kurds and the Iranians, and in Baghdad, between the Shia and the Sunni. The future of Kirkuk is going to be of great interest. The Kurds will eventually hand over Mosul and Sinjar to the Iraqi government, but control of Kirkuk and other cities with substantive Kurdish populations, such as Jalawla, is going to be contentious.
The Kurds had, like the Iraqi government earlier, requested the United States for air strikes. Obama did not oblige. The Iranians may have stepped in. The movement of heavy equipment and the Kurds investing their armour in the fight suggests that Iran may be willing/or may already be rearming and resupplying the Kurds.
The rebellion by the Shaitat tribe in Eastern Syria has forced Daash to pull back its fighters from Iraq and reinforce its fighters in Syria. This has been of significant tactical advantage to the Kurds. By attacking the Peshmergas, Daash has over played its hand and stretched itself thin. For now, Daash has lost the offensive.
And, today the Christians Authorities in Mosul, threw their support for Iraqi Government. There was talk about WAR CRIMES.
In was on Al-Manar TV Live and the written news will follow soon.
Like, I said in the beginning, bring them all in one place, get them out in open and then get rid of them once and for all.
Best regards,
Mohamed.
Mindfriedo,
Russia is a major arms supplier to Iran. Have you any information on recent impact of Russia’s arms and experts beyond the supply of jets?
Also, how Syria on the other side is doing of late and if Russia is more involved now that ISIS is so successful?
So Iran is involved, huh?! What took you so long to figure that one out, Mindfriedo?!
Turkey and the USA have shown to the Kurds that their support in case of aggression is only vocal and never materialize.
This is a very significant development as the relation between the Kurds as well as the Sunnis tribes with the Al Maliki government is likely to improve. Al Maliki will probably stay in power.
The West is dragging its feet to intervene militarily against IS. Even Lebanon that they claim to defend has found itself alone fighting the IS.
It is possible that once Jordan and Saudi Arabia are physically threatened , we will see moves.
It would be a welcome turn of events if peace comes to the middle east because of common enemies. May we see world peace in our time.
“Nora said…
Mindfriedo,
I wouldn’t say the Saudis are funding both sides: they simply paid the French *not* to deliver the weapons. God, what monsters they are, and always were.”
Excellent observation dearest sister!
Saudi Arabia, No Thanks!
“It is untrue that the Saudi aid or its timing is inappropriate. Yet, this is not what is required from the Saudi Arabia now. The Kingdom’s responsibility surpasses issuing statements and financing the munitions supply to the Lebanese army; Saudi Arabia must recognize that the terrorism which is striking Lebanon is that which Riyadh, Doha and Ankara support to destroy Syria and Iraq.
Consequently, the powers which back terrorism must not only abjure the terrorist groups but also devise a mechanism to conduct a comprehensive revision even if this costs recognizing the defeats in different areas because obstinacy and hiding the truth are fruitless. Any aid, then, will be just an expiation for major crimes in the Arab countries.
We are not grateful to the Saudi billions of dollars as part of these amounts will be devoted to the Lebanese and French brokers and the munitions that will be provided to the Lebanese army will stir political quarrels among the different Lebanese factions on the direction of the weapons.
If the criminals had spent on developing Arsal and Akkar the amounts they have spent to finance the terrorist groups, there would not be terrorists and terrorism knowing that it is well-known the Saudi aids to the Lebanese army aims at preventing the government from asking Hezbollah or Iran for military aids.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia has decided to provide the Lebanese army with military aids worth $4 billion.
The Kingdom will purchase the munitions from France which has not supplied the Lebanese army with any of the weaponry batches yet.“
Best regards,
Mohamed.
French Report ISIL Leader Mossad Agent
I know ISIL is a NATO creation, but fools will still join it. A lot of these “Jihadee” preachers in the UK, are IMHO, British agents.
RUSSIA
Finally Russia has given the list of items to be sanctioned and the EU says that sanctions are not a way to deal with the Ukraine issue. You can’t make this stuff up.
They are very clever. This will give an intensive to develop their own agriculture. Given time they could compete once again with Europe and become an exporter.
Well played, Russia. Well played. I rather not see the sanctions but, I know that you can’t really hurt those at the top unless you shoot them.
Gaza.
NDTV reports from Rafah in South Gaza
I thought that the Peshmerga would be the one force in Iraq that could match the Islamic State’s fighters but I was obviously wrong as recent developements show. The Peshmerga forces collapsed under the IS assault and the Mosul Dam is surrounded by IS forces and may soon change ownership just as the oil fields and towns nearby have.
The Kurdish leadership is in panic mode begging for US or Baghdad’s air support while just a week ago they were asserting their independence and gloating about all of their easily captured territory. Watch for the civilian death toll to rise as the precision bombers from Baghdad rain Hellfire down on the population.
@wayoutwest
And you believe that bullshit that the western MSM (owned by the same people that own and control ISIS/Daash) is putting out?
The whole Kurdish retreat “collapse” is FAKE; it’s a feint to call the bluff of the Obama Regime and to provide them with a face-saving excuse to bomb ISIS (2 puny airstrikes by some crappy F-18s is insignicant against an ISIS military assault).
How can anyone believe anything coming out of the mouths of compulsive liars and paid whores from the Obama Regime and the MSM.
The Kurds have been able to hold-off the Turkish Army (a brutal, take no prisoners, mass slaughtering army) and Sadaam’s mass murdering army (willing to use chemical weapons at any provocation) and we’re supposed to believe that the Kurds would collapse in the face of a bunch of skinny retarded illiterate morons running around in dirty sneakers and loose cotton clothing? (Have you seen pictures of pictures of a typical ISIS/Daash “fighter”? They look like the typical unfit fragile-boned limp-wristed rejects that can’t fit in with any society, you know losers that feel left out and ridiculed; i.e. losers of below average skill, strength and intelligence).
.
Are really naive enough to believe that 8000-9000 ISIS imbeciles can take on millions of Kurds on their own home turf?
In the coming days and weeks you’re going to see ISIS being hit from all sides. Of course, the slime bag democrats of the Obama Regime will try to take credit for the turn around, but of couse the real story will be the heavy ground offensive that various Iraqi factions (kurds included) will be carrying out against ISIS that’ll be the real reason for ISIS retreats.
Mindfreido, thanks for the excellent summary, if it wasn’t for your summaries, I wouldn’t have able to predict, 2 days ago, that the Obama Regime was going to fold their bluff once they saw that their ISIS/Daash proteges were starting to falter and with the Iraqis refusing to cave in to blackmail and turning to alternative allies (Iran, Russia, etc).
The fireman that set the fire now wants hero glory for putting the fire that he started in the first place. Pathetic what lame-duck presidents do.
“Wayoutwest said…,”
He is back again!
“I thought that the Peshmerga would be the one force in Iraq that could match the Islamic State’s fighters but I was obviously wrong as recent developements show”
Nobody sane expected ISIS to open up a third front while they were still fighting Assad and Maliki so the Kurds were probably taken by surprise. I’d wait a few days to see what happens next.
The Kurdish forces- 100% backed by the zioinsts.
The Saudi-Arabia Whabbist forces (mistaken called ISIS/Boko Haram, extremists Sunni etc)- 100% backed by the zionists.
The Iranian forces (Shia forces that partnered the USA during the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan) – 100% backed by the zionists.
Christian, moderate and secular forces in the Middle East, and other ‘Muslim’ regions- 100% TARGETED FOR COMPLETE ANNIHILATION by the zionists.
Notice a pattern here? The supposed ‘love’ of multi-cultural societies that is the ONLY reason so called American Libertarians criticise the zionists over- is a complete lie. Zionists are the ‘perfect’ racists- using ‘racial’ enmity as the ultimate weapon.
This is the fundamental difference between the vile ‘tribe of Israel’ and the Fabians (which include Putin) who rule ABOVE the zionists (and directly below the true demonic elites). Both groups call ordinary Humanity ‘cattle’, but the Fabians believe that the best masters of Humanity can arise from any sector of Humanity.
SANCTIONS- notice how there are no sanctions against Saudi Arabia or Israel? Most modern West nations have populations who believe in ‘Humans Rights’ and ‘Freedoms’ so much, they want to award free little boys to pairs of men simply because these men engage in regular anal sex. Yet curiously, the brainwashed ‘politically correct’ citizens of these nations never question why their leaders never sanction the unthinkably evil nations of Israel or Saudi Arabia. How odd? Or how telling about the effectiveness of a zionist controlled society- foul mind-control propaganda bombardment from birth to death.
Why do blogs like this NOT focus on the death of secular societies in Libya, Syria, Iraq, Brunei, ever increasing regions of Africa, Asia, and now even some West European nations? Focusing on zionist manufactured ‘religious’ wars gives the impression we are supposed to hope for the supremacy of one ORGANISED RELIGION over another. Modern Christianity (which isn’t the religion of Christ but a Jewish Roman invention from centuries later), Islam and Judaism are all really the same thing. We want to see all three heads of the same monster lose their grip on general Humanity, not strengthen it.
Of course people should have ‘Freedom of Conscience’ (that fantastic Human Right Britain uniquely gave to all its Anglo-Saxon child nations- a Right that notably doesn’t exist in most of the world, including Germany, France, Spain and Italy). But individual ‘freedom of conscience’ (the right of an individual to define their own spiritual beliefs and modify them as many times as he/she wishes, without external interference) does NOT imply rights to organised religions. Organisations/companies are NOT people- and when they seek the ‘rights’ normally given to individuals, they do so for wholly evil reasons.
AntiNWO,
Thank you for links.
I understand a few languages and in none of them are there were words to express the disgust I feel for the Zionist Israeli-Jew government.
I have a strong belief that even if I was a polyglot I would not find the words in any human language to express my disgust for IsraHell’s actions against the poor Palestinians.
Every time I hear of this little shitty country , even see their flag… something I cannot explain comes rises up my throat. To the best of my capability to explain what this ‘something’ is, would be a strong disgusting aversion.
Hi Mo, how can the Xtian Authorities in Mosul do anything because we were told there are no Xtians in Mosul?
Getting all of “Them”, I guess you mean IS, in one place may be difficult now that they are everywhere.
The only ones who seem to be out in the open and overextended are the Kurds.
This is just a Reality Check to keep you and Mindy from succumbing to your delusions completely.
I disagree with this statement.
The Kurds will eventually hand over Mosul and Sinjar to the Iraqi government, but control of Kirkuk and other cities with substantive Kurdish populations, such as Jalawla, is going to be contentious.
Yazhidis are basically the source & predecessors of the Kurds, atleast that is what Kurdistan presents them as.
The amount of YPG West Syria Kurdistan RojAve or Peshmerga “Those who face death” fighters in Iraq Kurdistan who had to die to defend & free these areas is to great.
Local yezhidi Kurds stated that ARAB neighbours were part & partial to partaking in beheadings and murder of their own neighbors calling them devil worshipers.
Those people will never again live next to ARABS.
Many Kurds have suggested openly that ARABS are to blame for letting in ISIS and thus now is the time for a De-Arabization campaign. Many minorities were sold on a new slave market in full view of majority ARAB spectators who also cheered on crucifictions and beheadings of non muslims.
Kurdistan if anything is preparing itself to fight against Shia dominated Baghdad and meanwhile fully intent on keeping any areas where Kurdish blood was spilled to liberate it.
Shingal (Sinjar) & Mosul will become Kurdish cities.
Mosul was liberated in 2004 to great extent by Kurds supporting US troops. Kurds feel completely betrayed and lied to by the USA with many Kurds looking towards Russia to stop blindly supporting Shia Maliki because he is/was Irans favourite. Both Iran & Turkey are having second thoughts to support a greater Kurdistan including traditionally Kurdish areas as long as Kurdistan does not expand into their lands.
Everything North of The Tigris was Kurdish. Mosul is sepparated by it, but Kurds & minorities will not live with ARABS again like before. I recommend this video.
& I pray for a free & strong, wise multicultural Kurdistan with Russias assistance “Gazprom” & toys.
The ARABS ignored her & told her to be quiet “keep to speech”

And today the US is now talking about helping the Christians in Northern Iraq.
Things must be going wrong for them….

Well, despite the allegedly positive statements in this piece, today I read that the Kurds are nearly panicking as ISIS moves on Irbil.
News reports indicate that the Kurds are armed with old weapons and only one or two T-55 tanks, while ISIS is loaded down with captured US weapons from Iraqi military depots.
The Kurds are once again asking Obama for US air strikes, and while the US DoD is denying any took place, some witnesses claim US jets attacked ISIS positions.
ISIS has captured several towns on the roads between Mosul and Irbil. Refugees who fled Mosul to Irbil are now preparing to flee Irbil.
The US has a CIA Station and a Joint Operations Center in Irbil to help coordinate the Kurds resistance against ISIS. It will be interesting if ISIS manages to capture both.
In other news, ISIS has captured Iraq’s largest dam.
I’d say it’s not over yet.
Mindfriedo
Can you or anyone else here point me to credible evidence/links that can confirm that ISIS is a CIA/Mossad creation?
@Carmel,
Every time I hear of this little shitty country , even see their flag… something I cannot explain comes rises up my throat. To the best of my capability to explain what this ‘something’ is, would be a strong disgusting aversion.
It’s called having a moral compass which gives one the ability recognise evil when you see it.
They (Zionists) could have lived in peace with the local population, but since the start, they operated through deceit and desire to rule over the whole region. Talmudic racist trash.
There is one thing I should thank them for, I would have never learned about the Khazars Talmud if it wasn’t for Palestinian blight.
@Haider,
There’s no doubt that ISIS was trained in Jordan. The training in Jordan was discussed for at least over a month before ISIS burst(re-burst) into the major scene.
They where armed by NATO through Turkey and trained in Jordan. It is their creation whether they wanted it or not.
Now question is, are they in their control. Personally I think yes.
ISIS leader a confirmed CIA puppet.
Thanks for the analysis, Mindfriedo. Hope you are right about Daash in decline now.
I read today the Americans have started airstrikes in Iraq again. The propaganda reason being to “protect” Americans, as usual. No doubt the strikes will mainly be covert support for the ZPC/NWO “al qaida” terrorist ops there.

@Mindfriedo,
Thanks again for you SITEREPs, they are extremely valuable and allow for a broad overview of the situation.
After watching the rather odd interviews and analysis being spewed by the talking heads here in Canada, something seems off.
For those that may not be aware, the Harper Regime was in a minority position when the destabilization invasion was launched and that has changed as they now hold majority status. Harper was trying to drag us into the invasion but was thwarted by the former Govt. There are several “videos” about that speech he presented to our Parliament circulation on ytube, it was exactly the same as the one presented to the Aussie Parliament. In other words “he” was itching to send Canadian Forces into Iraq.
The above is rather important as the narratives being spun here seems to be along the lines lf selling a humanitarian mission to protect minorities. This is a bit different from what we are seeing Stateside, where the narration be seem to be selling protecting the Kurds, US advisors and interests follwed by rhose trapped on the mountain.
The MSM has been focused on IS and how they have defeated every force they have faced up to now and that they will soon strike us if not stopped. They have been really pushing the US neocon line that Obama is not doing enoigh and the only way to defeat IS is to put significant boots on the ground. They are also spinning the offshoot of Al Qaeda angle in several directions but this morning they have expanded the reach from Syria right into the Caucus region on the Russian side.
Two thoughts about the odd spins. It seems plausible the either they will use this excuse to mass troops closer to the borders of Syria and the RF, or to allow for an excuse for re-normalized relations with Putin and Assad.
The former, sadly, seems a bit more likely considering they have done everything they can go escalate the violence in Iraq and Syria while at the same time encouraging the belligerent activities and genocidal actions of Israel and Kiev.
The second seems less likely but maybe, just maybe, they are attempting to save face, under the guise of re-engagement to fight a common enemy to all. Is it not possible that they have come to the conclusion that the dis-info propaganda campaign(s) have not swayed the populous and may be backfiring.
We all know that fear is a huge aspect of psyops and that fear may be boomeranging back at the neocons like the sanctions are boomeranging back at the Western economies.
Any thoughts?
This is quite a rant you presented, SluceGate, it covered presumption, underestimation, conspiracy theories and wishful thinking.
I don’t depend on any one source for my information about the ME, I don’t watch the MSM and depend mostly on ME sources which still have to be parsed for useful and accurate information.
You can believe anything you wish about the IS fighters but they have won many victories and are moving towards their goals and I think those young, organized, hardened, well equiped and dedicated fighters wear those sneakers so they can run fast enough to catch the panicked retreating Iraqi and now Kurdish Soldiers.
If you had done a little research about the Peshmerga you would have learned that their crack troops that fought the Turks are a tiny fraction of the whole Milita Force with the remainder being poorly trained and equipped regular recruits.
We will have to wait and see about your Grand Offensive against the IS forces but the offencive against Tikrit was a total failure with 5000 Iraqi troops and Militia unable to dislodge 500 IS fighters.
Hey wayoutwrong aka “the genius(not!)”, it’s now 2 days later and guess what? Just as I predicted, ISIS is on the retreat from Kurdish towns, after just 2 puny airstrikes by crappy F-18 (CSTO designation for the F-18: Flanker-Food). So take your amateur panic-laced analysis and go back to the drawing board.
The whole Kurdish collapse against ISIS was a sick charade designed to panic the weakminded (like some of the politicians in Baghdad, among others) as well as provide the US with the excuse to fake intervene and support the Kurds directly.
How dumb can anyone be to believe anything that comes of the mouths of the State Dept. or a REGIME of assinine DNC apparatichiks on a losing streak?! You are so brilliant! Really!

Same exact ziospam, but without the personal attacks. The spin the msm regurgitates tailored for article and blog comments.
The zionist propaganda these two are spamming reminds me of the same sort of daily zionist propaganda from the zio-media and Kiev about how the Ukraine junta rabble is causing the Novorussian resistance massive casualties and is about to squash them momentarily. ;D
