Disrupted Land is a documentary film about the history and future of land ownership in South Africa. The film deals with the controversial history of land in South Africa and views it is a matter that has been distorted for political gain by politicians and land reform activists. The film investigates the question of how white farmers obtained land in South Africa and exposes the extensive failure of the South African government’s land reform initiatives. Disrupted Land refutes the claim that there is a large-scale hunger for rural land among black people in South Africa. The films also point out that the situation would deteriorate if the ruling ANC and its alliance partners were to succeed with its push for expropriation of private property without compensation. The film was produced by Forum Films, in cooperation with AfriForum.

“That video also featured (but did not introduce) Chris van Zyl, assistant general manager of an Afrikaner agricultural union, and Ernst Roets, the deputy CEO of AfriForum, a group that advocates on behalf of South Africa’s “minorities” and has referred to apartheid as a “so-called historical injustice.” Both men have been criticized for exaggerating the plight of South Africa’s white farmers. Fact-checking organization Africa Check has questioned the murder rates provided by van Zyl’s and Roet’s advocacy organizations because the rate is currently not “possible to calculate,” called out BBC for using a claim cited by Roets that “grossly” overstated the number of “white squatter camps” in the country, and criticized Genocide Watch’s credibility for its rating of South Africa on its “Ten Stages of Genocide” scale without “provid[ing] the sources or methodology” or “events in South Africa” used as evidence for the claim.”
Always useful to know where people are coming from. Especially now with the very well organised, very well connected zionazi disinformation machine. “Full spectrum dominance” in action.
Good expose Vot Tak,
See my post under “anonymous” about Mark Sleboda’s comments regarding the hysteria of white farms being seized without compensation (there’s another side to the picture that this documentary studiously tries to cover up.
@ Vot Tak
Just because some outlets or commenters call Afriforum “far-right” does not make them so. There is obviously a concerted effort to discredit them by all means possible. On every article published about the farmer situation we seem the same commenters dutifully popping up. (Hint: Throwing in the word “zionazi” every time now and again does not necessarily lend additional legitimacy to comments).
“…because the rate is currently not possible to calculate”
So just because the murder rate cannot be definitively calculated due to a (convenient?) lack of recorded data we should all move along now as there is nothing to see here? (It ain’t happening at all then).
Why would any group anywhere go through so much effort to make such a preposterous story up if there were not truth in it – and equally why would there be such a large effort made in trying to discredit the groups reporting on what’s happening – if there were not truth in it?
This documentary Disrupted Land is overall factually correct, but more details could have been added in some places – for instance how apartheid started and how it developed was very briefly covered (it could also have mentioned that the Cold War kept apartheid in place much longer than would have been necessary otherwise)- nevertheless it is a very good overview (I hesitate to say excellent) and covers many points briefly enough to highlight where South Africa is right now wrt the planned land expropriation, while also providing some important missing context.
Mark Sloboda (previously of Moscow State U) and regular contributor on RT has gone on record to state that many of the so-called white-owned farms where expropriated illegally (illegal even under apartheid regime law) and the many blacks were driven off their ancestor’s land without compensation. This documentary is one-sided and doesn’t present the facts about the monstrous way the apartheid regime treated black farmers and rural communities to serve the needs of the Anglo-elite of south africa. It was the Anglos that bamboozled the Afrikaners into the extremist ideology of apartheid to take the focus of their own atrocities against the boers in the previous era (an era in which even Pik Botha’s mother died in a British concentration camp for Boers/Afrikaners).
It’s easy to make statements, but we need to present facts, which the documentary sets out to do, although for added credibility they could have added citations and references. Afriforum (and in particular director Ernst Roets) is known for being meticulous in their research and to date very few, if any detractors have actually managed to prove them wrong when actually delving into facts.
In many cases black people have already been compensated more than once – they got other land when they were relocated forcefully during apartheid and they also got financial compensation from the current government during successful land claims.
The rolling credits provide important information that speaks to your comment – maybe you did not read it to the end?
– 95% of the original land claims post 1994 had already been settled (compensated for either financially or in land) by the parliament adopted a motion on the expropriation without compensation).
– 82% of all land claims were filed in urban areas.
– 93% of all land claimants have opted for financial compensation as opposed to land.
– 95% of land reform projects in South Africa have failed, with commercial farms being transformed into subsistence farms or squatter camps.
A missing statistic that could have been added is this one:
– More than 4000 (formerly white owned) farms remain in state hands without being allocated to to black South Africans.
– in 1994 when Nelson Mandela became president of South Africa, the country had 70 000 white commercial farmers who were feeding more than 100 million (black) people throughout Africa due to exports from South Africa (SA population at the time was 28 million). Today South Africa barely has 28 000 white commercial farmers left, feeding, feeding 40 million people (South Africa’s population has grown to over 58 million).
Conclusion: the dwindling white commercial farmers in South Africa (for whatever reasons) reduces the food supply for (black) African citizens in several countries. Which does begs the question how people can’t see that their dislike for Boers go further than just Boers.
“When the Missionaries came to our land, they gave us bibles and told us to close our eyes and pray. When we opened our eyes, we had their bibles and they had our land.”
The Boer/Afrikaner nation did not arrive in South Africa as a unified group with rifle and Bible – you are lazily confusing the history of colonists, which the Boers were not. The Boer/Afrikaner nation formed in South Africa by a blending of several groups (Dutch, French, German), none of which came to colonize or do missionary work as objectives when they arrived – check the history. The Boers were colonized by the British and therefore suffered under and experienced colonialism just like Black South Africans did.
They were second class citizens under the British rule and their language and culture was repressed. That caused them move away from the British controlled Cape Colony to seek freedom and autonomy at the time and trek north where they met African tribes with whom they traded in good faith – as far as that was possible.
The Boers are experiencing oppression once again today and some of their ancestors came from Europe (the French Huguenots) as refugees that fled religious superscription in Europe. Much if not most of Boer history contained some form of repression which caused them to develop their famous “Laager Mentality”: Self-reliance, self-preservation, self-determination – and which also strongly contributed to them wanting to develop separately (apartheid) – this should be factored in. They faced danger from African tribes as well as norther imperialist nations through their history.
But they also wanted the other groups to develop – and indeed they even subsidized them in that – over 500 million Dollars spend on infrastructure development in the black homelands during apartheid – this piece of information strangely lacking in most analyses. Even so the African groups subsidized in their own homelands where they originated from (having been moved back to their ancestral homelands by the Apartheid government by force) failed to develop their own states, even with financial support.
They wanted to be in greater South Africa and basically rejected and abandoned their own original tribal lands (the pastoral life) to settle and squat around big cities. Nevertheless the Boers/Afrikaners facilitated the industrialization of South Africa and provided hundreds of thousands of jobs in the process for those blacks who were prepared to work far away from home – they were not forced to so (yet some call this oppression).
The Boers don’t generally go about crying victim all the time though (have never done tat in fact). After the 2nd Anglo Boer War that wiped out 80% of their children and many/most of their women with all their farms having been burned due to the British scorched earth policy they dusted themselves off and set about developing and building the advanced modern South Africa that existed in 1994 (crumbing / falling / failing fast now).
Mark Sleboda knows nothing about South Africa.
Mediamatters.org know even less and truly, they have an agenda.
What is it that you would want from the remaining 4.5 million white South Africans of which a large percentage was not even born under an apartheid regime. Should they give you their skins and their blood and then people would stop blaming these victims?. Should they all stand in line to be killed? Today, they are victims. They are a persecuted minority and it is not being reported excepting by a few. Racism black on white is somehow difficult for people to understand.
There was a long period of restitution after apartheid and everyone that could lick a spoon did restitution. There was also the Truth and Reconciliation. What more is needed before we on The Saker’s site do not also persecute this white minority. I know a few people there yes .. and they are certainly no better off than the rest. Racism is dead. Separate development has been dead for a long time and apartheid are no longer legal. This country is not racist any longer. Yes, there always are a few openly racist as in the US and other places.
I just got off the phone with one who tells me that on their building site they’ve had neither electricity, nor water for 3 days now. There are rolling blackouts which they call load shedding. This government cannot supply electricity. Yes, people are dying. This government cannot supply jobs for their own people. White people are prohibited by law to take part in the workplace (not fully, but its up there . the BEE regulations which are racially selective – is that not racism? Businesses like insurance or worker’s compensation exclude whites from benefits – there were strikes just a little while ago because whites were excluded from a share program in a very large workplace – is this not racism?).
I had an email with another one just a few days ago, and he quips: “No, they’ve not taken our house yet, but it won’t be too long.” He goes on to further say that it won’t even help if they abandon their houses and all go together and live in one of the many squatter camps (which I have personally seen when I was there last). He says the moment they plant something or try to grow a fruit tree, that will also be taken. He tells the story of their rural town being taken over by what is called ‘economic migrants’. It is a fruit producing area. Well, there won’t be a fruit harvest because the trees are stripped and being cut down for firewood. More workers will be losing their jobs.
How can you not understand the issue of land – land that was bought and sold to white and black alike, after 1994, the majority rule election, is now equally at risk to be expropriated without compensation. Are you aware that the Zulu nation is in as deep trouble than any white – because their recognized ancestral lands can also be taken if the laws are changed. Ancestral lands held in common that were fully recognized even under the previous apartheid government.
In this last phone call I was informed that some wise black voices are speaking up, but of course, they are generally done away with.
This situation is complex and a few shouts of ‘white racist’ is not only misplaced, but is factually incorrect. In my last visit there, I found no white racist, but I found a majority of black racists.
There is good information on The Saker as to the land question and the statistics quoted in the posted video is near as can be correct. /dispossession-of-land-on-the-basis-of-race-a-state-enrichment-and-control-strategy-in-the-south-african-context/
The government in South Africa has been racially exclusive, completely dishonest, they steal everything that moves, and if it does not work for them, they blame the 4.5 million whites left with harsh cries that they’re going to do away with this ‘whiteness’.
Not only “shedding” power but the last shipment of Coal that came in had one full of Rocks (not coal) in it.
“burning the fruit trees” The Native Americans would get wind up burning their houses piece by piece in their wood heaters here in BC for heat in the winter. Mind you, that`s what booze and depression will do to a person.
These people have been lobbying for some time, a group want to migrate to Southern Russia, and similar points as this film were brought up. This documentary goes over some points in more detail, but gloss over certain key facts.
Monday, 13 February 1713, a Dutch East India Company ship, under the command of Commissioner Johannes van Steeland unloaded the small-pox infected laundry to be cleaned by slaves at Capetown instead of burning them. The laundry was upstream of the settlement.
Two reports on the Chinese practice of variolation were received by the Royal Society in London in 1700; one by Dr. Martin Lister who received a report by an employee of the East India Company stationed in China and another by Clopton Havers. In Massachusetts, Cotton Mather had heard about variolation from a slave in 1706. The slave, from western Africa, had been inoculated as a child which according to him was common practice there. Variolation had become common practice in China and much of Africa by the seventeenth century.
What followed can at best be called manslaughter by gross negligence.
By May 1713 the smallpox disease had reached pandemic proportions. The dead could not be buried in coffins, as there was a shortage of wood at the Cape.
The Khoikhoi were the first native people to come into contact with the Dutch settlers in the mid 17th century. As the Dutch took over land for farms, the Khoikhoi were dispossessed, exterminated, or enslaved and therefore their numbers dwindled.
By February 1714 the few Khoi survivors reported to the Governor of the Cape that not even ten percent of the original Khoi population of the south-western Cape had survived the epidemic. Whole clans were annihilated in most instances. In other instances, the few survivors could not reconstruct a coherent clan as even the captains had died. For this reason, the indigenous clan names were lost. Instead the Khoikhoi became known by the derogatory term “Hottentots”.
This led to the large tracts of “vacant” land, free for white settlers to exploit. A firearm guaranteed no argument from any pretender to prior or inherited ownership.
That was inherited stolen property. The real owners and their descendants are demanding the return. After Apartheid legislation was repealed on 17 June 1991, some people have gotten tired of waiting (twenty-eight years). Note that the whites never negotiated an orderly hand-over or organized removal of themselves. What the hell were they waiting for, another revolution?
I leave you to imagine the sentiments.
South Africa was a Dutch colony. Slavery was outlawed by the Dutch and the wives of the officers of the Dutch East India company were the only ones with slaves, mostly gifted to them. Indentured servitude that could be worked off were more the order of the day. The first slaves to South Africa were brought in from further north, and also very few. Later slaves were brought from what was then called Batavia in the East, but also limited numbers. Slavery was never a large source of labor for the new colonists while the Dutch held the refreshment station. Bear in mind it was a refreshment station and if one stands on Table Mountain on a clear day, you can almost see the whole area used at that time. It was not significant in terms of colonization and not significant to the Khoikhoi.
The Khoikhoi were mostly used as servants, not as slaves. Blacks at that time were servants, and not slaves. There are stories of how the Khoikhoi were considered hardly better than the local baboons or monkeys, and they were chased on horseback just for the fun of it which today, to us, sounds just horrible. The Khoikhoi were considered game like other game that could be hunted, by blacks and white alike. But there was no large scale war against them.
The smallpox epidemic was not a planned annihilation of local people as it almost wiped out the whole settlement and refreshment station, locals and Dutch settlers alike. Farming and supplying of ships that were rounding the Cape came to a standstil. Many of the Khoikhoi fled inland to escape the epidemic. Diseases such as smallpox were distributed by ships – that was the historical reality.
It is a mistake to take the history of the US and annihilation of indigenous and think that the same history happened at the Cape of Good Hope. A very different history unfolded. Slaves from the East were brought in, in small numbers and the first slave was already freed around the 1650’s.

https://www.sahistory.org.za/article/first-slaves-cape
As you stated, ” the Dutch East India company were the only ones with slaves…”. Indentured servants and “apprentices to previous owners” was little better (it no longer exists in civilized society).
As I mentioned less than 10% of the Khoikoi survived the smallpox epidemics (originally estimated between 13’000 and 15’000 people). If you wanted slaves, you would have to capture them elsewhere. They were so few, scattered in the bush, it was unlikely a profitable enterprise. There was no large scale war against them as their numbers had been so decimated by smallpox, they had become almost irrelevant to the land politics of the time.
The Dutch East India Company, called the Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie or VOC in Dutch, had semi-governmental powers in that it was able to begin wars, prosecute convicts, negotiate treaties and establish colonies. In 1652 Jan van Riebeeck of the Dutch East India Company established an outpost at the Cape of Good Hope in southern Africa to provide supplies, including obtaining livestock from the indigenous Khoi people to ships sailing to eastern Asia. Later this outpost became a colony called the Cape Colony.
By 1669, the VOC was the richest private company the world had ever seen, with over 150 merchant ships, 40 warships, 50,000 employees, a private army of 10,000 soldiers, and a dividend payment of 40% on the original investment. This was the first limited liability exchange quoted company. They were gangsters, pushed to horrible excesses in search of profit particularly the Nutmeg islands monopoly involved extortion and the violent suppression of the native population, including mass murder.
The first slave reached the Cape in 1653, a year after the first white settler party under Jan van Riebeeck. Thousands more would follow. Slavery was to remain an institution here until the end of the Dutch period in 1795, and well beyond, for it was not until 1834, under British administration, that Cape slaves were finally emancipated. Vryburghers imported slaves from Madagascar, Mozambique and Asia, due to the “local labour” shortage.
Slavery formed the backbone of labour force at the Table Bay settlement. For instance, Van Riebeeck had eight female and three male slaves.By 1658 over half of the population at the settlement was slaves.
Emancipated slaves (1833 – enforcement 1834) became ‘apprentices’ to their previous masters for four years until 1838 when the British administration ended slave apprenticeship.
See https://www.sahistory.org.za/article/slavery-and-emancipation-slaves for further details.
The first slave, Abram van Batavia, claimed to have run away from slaveholder Cornelis Lichthart of Batavia. Abram worked at the Cape in the service of the Dutch East India Company (VOC) as a slave until he was sent back to Batavia where slavery continued.
https://www.sahistory.org.za/dated-event/first-slave-arrives-cape
I saw no indication he was freed.
2nd reply to this para: “That was inherited stolen property. The real owners and their descendants are demanding the return. Note that the whites never negotiated an orderly hand-over or organized removal of themselves. What the hell were they waiting for, another revolution?

There was an orderly handover negotiated for well on 2 years before the 1994 election, commonly called the freedom election. There was a full-on long period of reconciliation after that. South Africa received kudus all over the world for the Truth and Reconciliation process. Mandela made the name ‘Rainbow Nation’. Whites, and Zulus were fully incorporated into the processes but taken advantage of at the end of the day. The Khoisan were never incorporated in these negotiations. There are some tribal issues here with the Zulus. Why should anyone negotiate a removal of themselves? These people are part of the land. Where should they go to? These people are a nation.
Which people are tired of waiting? And waiting for what? They should get productive instead of waiting or they’re gonna be starving. There has been an ANC government in control since 1994. So, waiting for what?
Some of the whites appealed to their old nations (of which they cannot even speak the languages and is not part of their lives any longer after 400 or so years, for a right of return. Nobody wanted to grant them the right of return and they were refused. The French population went to South Africa for religious freedom. The Dutch population went to establish a refreshment station and stayed. The English came for conquest. See, the whites did not keep passports or ties with their very long ago ancestral countries. They are South Africans now. Where should those people try to return to? One can argue then that the Northern Blacks should rather return as well.
Geneva observer, you are conflating the history of the US with that of Southern Africa in your zeal to push the white racism meme.
You forgot these details:
In 1972 (under Apartheid) , SA blacks owned 360,000 vehicles. (More than all the black African states together)
The monthly income of blacks per capita in 1988 was R352 per month in South Africa – Malawi and Mozambique was less than R20 per month.
In 1988 black people could undergo a complicated heart valve surgery for just more than $ 1 while black Americans had to pay $ 15,000. In a Pretoria hospital between 2,000 and 3,000 of these surgeries were done per year.
Between 1962 and 1972 the UN paid $ 298 million to underdeveloped countries compared to South Africa that spent $ 558 million on the development of its black areas.
The budget amount for black education increases every year from 1970 to almost 30% more than any other government department.
From 1955 to 1984 the number of black scholars increased from 35,000 to 1,096,000. In 1988 71% of the adult black population could read and write versus 47% in Kenya, 38% in Egypt and 34% in Nigeria. On average during the year 15 new classrooms per working day were built for black scholars.
There were 5 black universities and 28 higher education institutions funded by the government.
Soweto with its population of 1.2 million had 5 modern stadiums versus Pretoria with its 600,000 whites who had three. Soweto had 365 schools versus Pretoria 229.
In Soweto in 1978, there were 115 football fields, three rugby fields, 4 athletic tracks, 11 cricket fields, two golf courses, 47 tennis courts, 7 swimming pools, 5 bowling halls, 81 basketball fields, 39 children playgrounds and countless community halls, cinemas and clubhouses.
In Soweto in 1978, there were 300 churches, 365 schools, 2 technicons, 8 clinics, 63 kindergartens, 11 post offices and its own fruit and vegetable market.
The government built a huge hospital Baragwanath 3,000 beds in Soweto. One of the largest and most modern hospitals in the world. Its 23 operating theaters were equipped with the best equipment money can buy. Here blacks were treated at a nominal cost of R2 for an unlimited period. In 1982, no fewer than 898 heart surgeries were done here.
I am reminded of the usual sanitized zionazi history of their takeover of Palestine. Or the ahistorical nonsense american school children are fed through their textbooks.
This history is the history sanitized by the current ANC government. Sometimes you cannot fight against the history.
Time to connect the dots.
On Trump, Gaza and white supremacy in South Africa
https://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/trump-gaza-white-supremacy-south-africa-180519171540332.html
“On May 2, representatives of Afriforum, a controversial South African organisation, travelled to the US on a mission to lobby the US government to take a stance against what they called a “racist theft” of land in South Africa.
Afriforum CEO Kallie Kriel and his deputy Ernst Roets met representatives from USAID, staffers with Republican Senator Ted Cruz, and controversial National Security adviser and longtime Republican hawk, John Bolton.
Palestinians, just like South Africans and other dispossessed peoples around the world, have been facing a concerted effort by ever-growing right-wing forces to obfuscate their reality. This is part of a broader campaign around the world to normalise colonialism, white supremacy and privilege, and rewrite history.
It is not a coincidence that it is now that an organisation like Afriforum is reaching out to a US government that is staunchly supportive of Israel and is engaged in applying its own racist policies.”
The zionazi extreme right (neocons and worse) regime change machine, israel and afriforum all working together.
Sound familiar?
These people are completely without options. They will find a little bit of support wherever they can get it and work with what they have for the moment.
In my convo with a South African today … wanting to know how to stop the ‘Trump is gonna save us’ delusion .. I said something and this South African asked me to put my few words directly on an email so that they can study it. My words were … a low level populist message for the stupid …
This issue is complex. Don’t forget that. And don’t forget that if you are completely without options, and if your very life is threatened, you will try and find help where you can get it, even if you know that supping with the devil requires using a very long spoon.
More connecting the dots:
AfriForum in South Africa, Israel in Middle East — a genealogy of the long history of colonial massacres
https://aftruth.com/political/afriforum-in-south-africa-and-israel-in-middle-east-a-genealogy-of-the-long-history-of-colonial-massacres/
“On May 14 1948 the state of Israel came into being following the Nakba, the Catastrophe, in which more than 700 000 Palestinians were driven from their homes.
Twelve days later, the National Party, explicitly inspired by German fascism, was elected into office in South Africa, marking the beginning of apartheid.
Here in South Africa, AfriForum is a local version of a global project, led from the US, to restore and modernise racism as an explicit project. It is particularly hostile to attempts to give substance to equality.
Its leader, Kallie Kriel, is not, unlike, say, Eugène Terre’blanche in the 1980s, a backward provincial buffoon on the global periphery of whiteness. He is allied to a global movement, a movement that has put a man in the White House and has an eye to the future.
And complicity with that movement is widespread. Every time that AfriForum is described as a “civil rights organisation”, or Israel as “the only democracy in the Middle East”, we are in the presence of attempts to normalise racism. In 2018 we still live in the long shadow of 1492.
Until we put an end to that epoch, Israel will continue to expropriate, oppress and murder with impunity. The bullets will continue to rush through the smoke of the burning tyres as people try to breach the walls of the ghetto in which they have been contained.”
Some history.
South Africa’s white right, the Alt-Right and the alternative
http://theconversation.com/south-africas-white-right-the-alt-right-and-the-alternative-103544
“Afriforum calls itself a “civil rights organisation”. Until recently its primary approach was to use the country’s human rights based constitution to launch court cases in defence of white Afrikaans speakers and, at times, of black people amenable to its agenda.
But it has since become the face of white denial about the past, and of defiance of the need for redress in the most unequal country in the world. Afriforum has successfully translated a growing resentment about the loss of Afrikaner control of the state into a political project.
Its politics is a cunning combination of Afrikaner nationalist mobilisation from the past with contemporary neoliberal elements and alt-right rhetoric from the US, Australia and Europe. Afriforum is part of the Groter Solidariteit-beweging (Greater Solidarity movement) that includes a trade union, a media house and companies selling education and other services.
Afriforum is a political expression of what I call neo-Afrikaner enclave nationalism. This is a post-apartheid phenomenon that combines an “inward migration” to white spaces (suburbs, institutions, media) with connectedness to global whiteness. In their discourses racism is recast as “culture”, and heteropatriarchy as “family values”.
Alt-right rhetorical devices are employed. Prejudice, half-truths and distortions are combined with insults and threats of violence.
As happened during apartheid, alternative voices are delegitimised. Afriforum and its allies actively seek to suppress positions that contradict theirs.”
I’ve been posting only a few excerpts from the various writings I’ve linked here, strongly recommend reading the rest of the material in these sources. I don’t endorse everything they say, but they do provide some very useful understanding of where these “poor white SA farmers” meme regime change operators are coming from.
Vot Tak, to make AfriForum into Israel, is simply going further along with the Bad White meme.
Who has AfriForum killed lately? Who are they suppressing? They made representations in the US, but they also made representations at the UN. They make representations frequently and to the South African Government, to my knowledge. I don’t carry water for them, but from them, I do not see hate speech, I do not see killings, I do not see racial supremacy and I do not see racial exclusiveness. So, they are clearly not Israel because there is no suppression or killings. Where is AfriForum’s Gaza and where is their West Bank and where is their police that suppresses the Palestinians? Those things do not exist in the South African context.
Sure, there is a white supremacist tendency in a small number of people. The Suidlanders is an example and they are for a separateness policy. They are also focused on protecting the remaining whites. They don’t run around killing and maiming. The Lauren Southern documentary Farmlands have many of these folks speaking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_bDc7FfItk
In stark contrast, from political parties like the EFF you see open hate speech, you see open racism and you see open calls for killing the whites. You see open racial exclusiveness. The EFF has been taken to court frequently, for exactly this and has lost each time.
So, following the happenings in South Africa, having been there for more than a few weeks vacation, having friends there, who should I believe? The ones that openly call for killings and openly have racist laws in the books against the remaining whites? someone that wants to make AfriForum into Israel where not even the basic conditions exist to make such a statement?
Just for information, the history site that I linked is a site maintained by the current government. You’re right, it is highly scrubbed already. I use that one on South Africa specifically as it is a New Government maintained site. “South African History Online (SAHO), is Section 21 non-profit organisation which was established in 2000, to address the bias in the way South Africa’s and Africa’s history and heritage, was represented under colonialism and apartheid in our educational, cultural and heritage institutions.”.
https://www.sahistory.org.za/about-us
So, it is double plus ‘clean’ but for someone who knows the history, yes, it is really scrubbed.
Farmmurders, a myth? Absolutely not. The crime rate is staggering in the country as a whole. The crime rate toward whites is completely out of proportion to a staggering crime rate already. Private organizations are keeping these statistics for the reason that the Government refuses to keep them. There are about 20,000 white farmers left (my own rough calculation based on the number of working farms left, and down from about 58,000 from when I was last in South Africa). Although the government does all kinds of fancy counting to refute the number, it is being actively counted. I know you don’t understand the language but take a look, from February onward on the first page. https://maroelamedia.co.za/tag/plaasaanvalle/
The farm murders are real, they happen almost daily and whites get attacked in towns as well. Where my one friend lives, 2 houses down an old couple were brutally murdered a month ago, and in this little town, another older lady was attacked and later died. Bear in mind, all whites are called farmers and the murder spree is actively encouraged by political groups like the EFF. It is not hidden.
/south-africa-the-real-current-event-vs-rolling-over-of-the-president-a-3-parts-analysis/
For this condition, the 4.5 million whites are being blamed, although at least half of them were born after apartheid. Do we blame the Russians for having had a suppressive communist government? A 20 year old black or a 20 year old white equally did not grow up under apartheid. So for being white, those people must be oppressed? Sounds like all out filthy racism approaching killing fields for all whites to me.
I know how people live. They all have 24/7 local protection forces made up of people in the neighborhood itself. Further, they have quick action alarms to call private security – as the police do not respond in the main. I speak to people there and they tell me when their next ‘buurtwag’ neighborhood watch shift is. Live is arranged around the absolute need to keep themselves safe. The one person who works away from home does not go on a road without checking road conditions and possible violent protests happening somewhere. These are not white instituted but whites are targets. They have a continual reporting on some network just to keep themselves safe. When I was there last, I used this system myself because I was not safe on the roads.
So, tell me, how many whites get murdered vs how many black get murdered. We can work out the per capita as we know the population figures. 4.5 Million remaining whites and 50 Million blacks. There is no protection for minorities in this land of South Africa.
What I find when I visit people, talk to people and generally keep contact with friends, their is no racism language. People generally accept the changes that came around 1994. What there is is an utter disgust with the political forces of the day and a terrible and disproportionate requirement to protect themselves. This is racism turned on its head … it is Black toward White, and that is what people really struggle to understand and they try and find the roots of that in a fairly short period of apartheid. Nobody that I speak to that was alive at the time does not recognize that this existed, and that it was a bitter experience. But nobody that I speak to that is alive today denies that the small white population is under extreme racism today, and that their blood is called for, openly by an exceedingly racist regime.
Do you really want the current crop of whites killed because the previous government was a minority rule government? How can you not see that? This small group of whites are the Palestinians of the area.

“The lack of epistemological awareness displayed by Prof. Van der Westhuizen in her article titled “South Africa’s white right, the Alt-Right and the alternative” reflects a concerning trend in academia and our broader cultural discourse. It is no wonder that the social sciences are suffering a crisis of reputability at the moment, a fact that was exposed most recently and ingeniously by a group of liberal academics from the US and UK:

“The uncritical parroting of de rigueur phraseology, in which ideological adherence serves as a proxy for intellectual rigour is the subject of this piece” :

Given that these theoretical representations of sociocultural reality have held historical water, the “critical” perspective on the status quo in South Africa resonates somewhat with the better angels of our nature, at least to the extent that we share a collective desire to live free from state oppression and interference in our social and economic lives. This is one of the foundational principles of classical liberalism, and it is also one of the reasons why people who oppose the underpinning ideologies of Apartheid tend to gravitate to such explanations of present day inequality.
“Any rational person is able of comprehending the extent to which the Apartheid state contributed to the retardation of South Africa’s cultural and economic progress; Prof. Van der Westhuizen is thus partially correct in her assertion that there were certain social and political hierarchies that needed to be dismantled in order to further the noble goal of freedom for all. What is missing from this analysis, however, is the glaringly obvious fact that the political status quo relies on the revolutionary notion of an “eternal Apartheid” in order to legitimise and further its increasingly totalitarian ends. In their reductionism, proponents of revolutionary ideology are unable to recognise the point at which their ideas have usurped hegemony. Once this is accomplished, the mechanisms of the state, media and academia are used to control the way the public thinks about the past and the present. The theories underpinning Prof. Van der Westhuizen’s epistemology are the political status quo, masquerading as if they are not.”
The dangerous myth of ‘white genocide’ in South Africa
http://www.thecoursecorrection.com/the-dangerous-myth-of-white-genocide-in-south-africa/
“On Wednesday, President Trump tweeted that he was instructing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to look into “the South Africa land and farm seizures and expropriations and the large scale killing of farmers.”
This is a huge victory for South Africa’s far-right, which has been lobbying foreign governments intensively over the past year. So far, they have managed to find a few sympathetic legislators in Western countries, but Trump is the first head of state to make such overtures.
The president’s statement is troubling because it signifies the mainstreaming of white nationalist narratives about “white genocide,” of which South Africa’s farm murders are an essential component.
As it inches closer to the mainstream, the narrative about “white genocide” in South Africa grows more sophisticated. Through their partnership with mature Afrikaner organizations, America’s white nationalist groups gain a host of misleading factoids and talking points that can be dangerously persuasive in the “fake news” era.
The article thoroughly debunks the zionazi-gay/white supremacist propaganda about whites being genocided in SA.
South Africa’s White Lies, the Ctrl-Left and the Narrative: a Post-Post-Modern Perspective:
https://rationalstandard.com/south-africas-white-lies-the-ctrl-left-and-the-narrative-a-post-post-modern-perspective/
“When applied within the South African context, the academic prism of critical theory relies on certain tropes such as the “racist Afrikaner”, “unrepentant white” and “perpetually victimised African.”
“What is missing from this analysis, however, is the glaringly obvious fact that the political status quo relies on the revolutionary notion of an “eternal Apartheid” in order to legitimise and further its increasingly totalitarian ends. In their reductionism, proponents of revolutionary ideology are unable to recognise the point at which their ideas have usurped hegemony.”
“It is not surprising that AfriForum and Afrikaners draw the ire of many a journalist or academics trained in critical theory. At face value, they represent the “white patriarchy” and serve as an ideologically sanctioned representation of all of the ills besetting society.”
“A theory about reality is taken to represent reality itself, and any attempt to falsify the underlying philosophical assumptions of the theory are summarily dismissed as “white privilege”, “heteronormacy” or “patriarchy.”
Most insidious among these is the assumption that all asymmetries in outcomes between groups are a result of oppression and exploitation, and that the mechanisms of the state should be used to “correct” these. Taken together, the assumptions constitute the basis for what I am calling “The Narrative,” in which people who constitute the “oppressor” class come to represent the cause of all inequality.
“The Narrative is one of the big lies at the heart of post-Apartheid South Africa, because it robs the citizenry of alternative dialectical frame in which the locus of control over their lives is internal as opposed to being located within the ever-widening mandates of the state. The Narrative is also used to legitimise the ideology of “transformation,” in that it entrenches power within the same state which claims to represent the oppressed, whereas in fact it is and has been the primary oppressor in South Africa.”

A Letter to Kallie Kriel, Caucasian-in-Chief of AfriForum

“Hello Oom Kallie. How is it going with Oom? Is it okay with Oom if I call Oom Oom? I believe it is a mark of respect in our culture, although if someone calls me Oom I want to punch him in the mouth. Maybe there is something wrong with us. When I say us, I mean we English-speakers. Not we white people. There is nothing wrong with white people. This is a well-known fact. Even scientists have proven that God chose white people as his number one race.
I just love being white. Don’t you? It’s the best colour. You can wear anything with it and never have to worry about your broeks clashing with your hemp.
Congratulations on your recent tour of America, a country that until recently was enemy territory for you. Now that our hero Donald Trump has made the White House white again, America can once more take its rightful place in the world. Blood and soil, Oom. Blood and soil.
You even got a meeting with the US Agency for International Aid. That would never have happened while the Kenyan antichrist was president. Did they give you money? I bet they did. You should use it to stock up on dog food. When the genocide moves from the farms to the suburbs, you are going to need lots of dogs. As you know, darkies are more scared of dogs than they are of white people. You can thank democracy for that.
By strangers I think we both know who I mean. And there’s nothing more strange in this world than people who aren’t white. Am I right? Of course I am. It’s no coincidence that white rhymes with right. Those people what wrote the dictionary knew what they were doing.
This crazy dream of mine is unlikely to come true as long as you keep saying that apartheid was not a crime against humanity. I do agree with you, though. Puffy pants and rhinestone studded denim jackets were a crime against humanity. Having the barman put Pepsi instead of Coke into your brandy is a crime against humanity. But apartheid? Okay, sure. It couldn’t have been much fun not being allowed to visit the beach or a park or cinema, theatre or restaurant, but they had things we didn’t have. Lots of brothers and sisters, for a start. And they weren’t forced to go to school. Or the army. Not a bad life at all.
As you pointed out, the security forces only killed around 700 people while the National Party was running the show. Hardly a crime against humanity. On a good day, the Israelis take care of that many Palestinians before lunch.
And apartheid wasn’t our fault, either. There would have been none of that business in this beautiful country if there had been no black people to start with. But we have forgiven them for making us do the apartheid and it is time they stopped talking about it.

Shame vot tak – you are trying too hard. I guess all the black people in this documentary who criticized the ANC government are “white supremacists” too.
