This is the full version (parts 1-5 all in one video) of ‘The Necessary Option – Hezbollah in Syria’, a documentary film that aired in early 2016 on the pan-Arab Mayadeen TV. The film explores the possible reasons and factors that moved the Lebanese group Hezbollah to intervene in the ongoing war in Syria.
OMG Saker, what a fantastic documentary – thanks so much – how inspiring – Hezbollah !!!
the Arab man with the English accent – I think he is the man who is the voice-over for all of Hassan Nasrallah’s speeches –
“hacked By Fallag Gassrini”
Replaced the title lines for the pepe article. The comment posting ability also was gone.
I cannot help but respect the resistance from the likes of Nasrallah, that being said, I am more of a pacifist. I feel that when everyone is killing each others, it benefits only the psychopaths that rule this planet currently. So instead, I pray that Lavrov will bring swift resolution to the current crisis in Syria.
The best proof that the psychos fear peace is that they even got their pet Nazis to use ballistic missiles in Donetsk. We must be getting too close to a resolution, the west is not pleased. I regret that russia had to pay as high a price as it did in opposing the western oligarchs but I am hoping that in the end Putin will get his message across. We need to get the economy growing again and build that silk road like china wants to do. Without some cooperation, there is no way we will be able to continue living as comfortably has we have been doing so far in the (so called) civilized world.
The pain will continue as long as necessary to wake up our leaders. I hope they are not all zombies.
Throughout the film, you can see the cowardly Israelis salivating at the prospects of Syria falling, and Hezbollah being rendered isloated and defenseless in Lebanon.
Their dreams and aspirations will come to nought!
Syrians will never accept Zionist stooges in Damascus ruling over their great country.
They know who are Syria real friends, likewise they are also aware of who its enemies are.
The Israeli army inspite if the $Billions in busget has only managed to excell at killing defenseless civillians with – coerced – Western backing and acquiescence.
In its 2006 confrontation with Hezbollah Israel received a whopping for the ages.
It shows an incredible and beautiful self-confidence for Hzb. to make a documentary almost entirely in the words of their many enemies.
Oh that the west ever, in a thousand years, had the strength to do this.
Saker, I was curious about Assad – he is portrayed in this excellent documentary as always being part of the Resistance – Hezbollah Resistance that is – but sometimes you have said that he also ran rendition camps of torture for the CIA in Syria.
I can’t believe that Hezbollah would work with him if he did that, although I suppose they would still take armaments and money and food, even if he was playing both sides of the fence. But this documentary does not seem to imply this Janus faced Assad at all.
What do you say ?
There is an alliance between the 2 sides, but hezbollah doesn’t control the regime and his choices, in this alliance, nobody imposes choices toward the other side, neither iran toward syria, neither syria toward hezbollah, neither even iran toward Hezbollah. They are in an alliance and share the same objectives. If one part of the alliance sees some benefits about cooperating with americans to avoid an crazy attack from the US, and I think it was the reason of this kind of cooperation from assad with the US, then the other partners in the strategic alliance can’t enable Assad to do so since it wasn’t in contradiction with the final objectives of the alliance. It was a tactical move, not a strategic one
All you who loved this documenary would probably also love watching the 17 part documentary about the 33 Day War of 2006 called “If Hezbollah Was Defeated”.
