If treachery wins it will be a blow that the world will not recover from. The stakes are high. Those soldiers willing to give their lives to defend their land make the supreme sacrifice. When I face death like these soldiers perhaps I’ll have a better perspective. In the meantime thanks for the recruitment offer. I’ll have to turn it down because of my age 75 and lack of any fighting experience. But what a great way to go when I have to anyway: a quick bullet to the heart and it’s all over for this life. I think I could die in peace, giving my life for a good cause. In the meantime there’s water to carry and wood to chop.
