fabulous interview…great info…he looks tired. Saker, all these Russian men smoke so much….I wish they could quit. I wonder if dear Zarkhenchenko does too.
Ann, I read years ago that the correlation of cancer w smoking doesn’t occur in all countries– that it occurs only in countries that smoke tobacco which has been sugar-cured. This was in a book called “Sugar Blues” I think. So whenever I see them smoking I wonder whether their ciggies are sugar cured.
In any event smoking is ruinous for lung-capacity. I’m sure during his last press conference I heard his breathing was raspy. Haven’t listened to this one yet.
dear Penelope, I’m on Saltspring Island in BC. Yes, the smoking is so sad…givi is such a heavy smoker. And I just love Zarkhenchenko and hope he doesn’t smoke. but he probably does. Europeans still smoke way more than us I think,
Ah, don’t know where I got the idea you were in California too.
If you are following the Greek situation at all, it’s interesting that Joaquin Flores (co-producer of Fort Russ) thinks the ability of Greece to hold out against the troika is related to the strength of their security services & intelligence:
Joaquin Flores (co-producer of Fort Russ):
“The determining factor is to what extent the Greek military security, intelligence networks, are able to have several complex programs running simultaneously which allows Greeks to make sovereign decisions.”
“Russia is channeling anti-EU forces to promote continental union not transpacific, to free it from Wall St and City of London.”
” Is Greece acting as a transmission belt that doesn’t play a polarizing role that will separate itself from Europe, but can it maintain itself w/in Europe but represent as well the multipolar or Eurasianist thread which seeks to unhinge Europe from being a primarily NATO – dominated econ union.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXn1ujZQOJA Greek part begins at 18.
This entire tape is very interesting; 2d part deals w the exact steps by which he thinks Donbass will expand– thru civic action initially.
My impression is Zakharchenko expects the junta quislings will again be attacking soon. Hopefully Novorossia is working on alternative sources for water, they seem to have most of the other infrastructure basics under control.
Haha. So their water supply goes through to Mariupol. So if they take Mariupol, Kiev could cut off the water to all of them.
“So we’ll have to take some other town” says Zakh.
The junta thinks they can terrorise these people into leaving, do they? when every attack just brings more recruits to NAF ? I remember an interview at a bombing site, where 3 people died, the man who said, in Ukrainian, “I am Ukrainian, I never believed in this separatism, but today I am joining up. I have to fight this government that just bombed my street, killed my neighbours.”
There was a question that was not really asked, about energy, he just said “i signed it”. Sounds like a new Minister for Energy, the previous one having been kicked out months ago for misuse of power. Was also interesting that gasoline supplies have only just started and already had problems with “speculation”…. and they’ve already set up systems to prevent it. They must have been given a line of credit from somewhere, to get these things started.
So Ukraine wants control of the international borders now.. Lets see they say Russia has invaded.. So Kiev stops paying salaries and pensions in the area. So Kiev cuts of food and medical supplies to over 5 million people, and has an economic blockade.. Cuts of electricity to the region. Cuts of gas used for heating and cooking to the area.. All this to punish the regions Russia has invaded, so more than 5 million Ukrainians have to suffer.. On top off it all Kiev also shells those cities the Russians have invaded even if 5 million people live in them.
Hey if I was living in those cities I would switch sides and fight with the Russians too.. I do not believe in raising my village to save it. I will fight back and join the invaders. Kiev sure has a weird way to repulse the invaders.. Guess a few others have the same idea.
After Minsk-I the Ukrainian parliament adopted a law to give Donbass autonomy. The government refused to implement it as a revenge for the elections that were held by the rebels.
So I was wondering whether this law is still available to be implemented. It will not fully cover Minsk-II, but it would be suitable as a quick interim solution.
Interesting point about Mariupol and water. Also the regular men from affected towns and villages joining. Kiev Junta are doing all the recruitment for NAF with their own behaviour.
The junta continues to commit crimes against humanity and not a word of condemnation. I am glad they are sorting out all their needs and requirements.
Prayers and best wishes for Novorossya final victory!

Ann, I’m in Santa Maria. Which city are you in?

This is must listen to.
Basically gives an overview of everything.
His comments on Mariupol and no shortage of volunteers if very enlightening.
Thanks.
Thank you Saker & Kazzura. Nice to see how Zakarchenco has grown in confidence and authority. He needs a week’s vacation in the sun.
Yes, Kat Kan said that after his injury he slept for three days.
Givi was so cute in that awards ceremony…He’s such a bear of a man.
Men don’t make history, history makes the man.
