❗️ Officials & mainstream media are ignoring cases of police violence against peaceful protesters in the OSCE countries while we are being accused of their own “sins”
We’ve prepared a self-explanatory visual reel. See for yourself, feel the differencehttps://t.co/z63uIIEJ2z pic.twitter.com/B6kSs1lTKQ

I am sympathetic to what the Russians are trying to say here; I agree with them that the U.S. and EU are in no position to point fingers at anyone when it comes to police repression in particular or human rights issues in general. However, I have doubts that this video is an effective way to make the point. People who already have this point of view will watch the video and agree with its message. However, a hostile person viewing it will think, “the Russians are just cherrypicking videos which embarrass the U.S., or portray Russian police as victims.” I am glad, though, that Russia is starting to call out Western hypocrisy. I am so sick of Washington’s double standards.
I really liked Putin’s speech at Davos. That was very effective public diplomacy, I thought. Of course, I doubt the Western press covered it, and most Westerners will only hear about how Putin is a “dictator”, and not hear his actual views.
Speech was not for public but for those very few people of ruling western class. Anyway I think Russia won’t seriously think that speech had much effect. We should never forget the pale fact: Europa needs Russian energy, strategic critical raw materials and Chinese high tech production. Business people are those living in reality. Russia and China will collect euros, keep it or change it to gold. Russia exported 37 million tons grain and are now taking lion share of home market producing most of people and business need.
I don’t know if Russia will gain any immediate PR benefits from the speech, but they are on the right side of history. The Western establishment cannot speak honestly about the dysfunctional arrangements in their societies; they benefit from a status quo that is wrecking society at large, but speaking about it would endanger their power. The economy seems like a giant pyramid scheme. They want the public talking about Navalny, or Trump, or some other distraction. Putin is not so constrained. He can raise the issues that this establishment dare not mention. As members of the public notice that the establishment propaganda is leading them on wild goose chases, they may also notice that Russia has been speaking out against the seamy policies that have brought ruin.
Correction, Mats: “Europa needs Russian energy… right now.” Haven’t the world elites increased industrial production of countries they control before? Particularly if it is in response to warmongering they “need”?
For example, before the previous world war, we had “business people… living in reality” who wanted to continue economic trade in spite of the elites’ “axis of evil” propaganda (e.g. Henry Ford). But once the provocations and false flags led to open war, what could business people do to stop it? Didn’t some of them even stand to profit from serving the war machine?
And can’t today’s Zone A oligarchs do the same thing? They can escalate a major conflict, increase industrial production solely to fuel military-industrial complexes, and use that to replace energy, material, high tech, etc. losses which would have come from Russia, China, and other “axis of evil” countries.
Obviously the video was presented just for fun, full well knowing ”that a hostile person viewing it will think, “the Russians are just cherrypicking videos which embarrass the U.S., or portray Russian police as victims.” and full well knowing that they don’t give a hoot of what ‘hostile persons’ think.
Putin and Lavrov told the ‘Europeans’ in clear what they seriously think:
Putin to Schwab: “but love is impossible if it is declared only by one side. It must be mutual.”
Lavrov to Borrell: ”because of that, we build our life out of consideration that EU is not a reliable partner, at least at this stage”.
And they substantiated they words with actions:
”According to EU Observer, citing sources in the EU, Moscow has timed the expulsion of diplomats to the time of the press conference by the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, who held a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Feb. 5.
At the very beginning of the meeting, Borrell told Lavrov that relations between the European Union and Russia were going through truly difficult times after the Navalny poisoning.
“Our relations are obviously extremely tense now, and the crisis with Navalny is their the lowest point,” Borrell stressed.
“During the meeting with Foreign Minister Lavrov, the High Representative learned that three European diplomats would be expelled from Russia. He strongly condemned the decision and rejected accusations that they were involved in activities incompatible with their status as foreign diplomats. The decision should be revised,” representative of EU’s lead spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and security policy Peter Stano said.
”Lavrov denounced the EU’s sanctions against Russia over the annexation of Crimea, calling them “unilateral and illegitimate restrictions … imposed under false pretenses.”
“Here we have converging views with the European Union…that we could only work with our partners through dialogue, without using any ultimatums, punishments and unilateral actions punishing those who want to develop normal relations by imposing extraterritorial restrictions — those are methods and tools from the colonial past. I should say that the European Union starts using these instruments that were invented by the United States, which is a bad thing.”
“We are getting used to the fact that the European Union are trying to impose unilateral restrictions, illegitimate restrictions and we proceed from the assumption at this stage that the European Union is an unreliable partner,” Lavrov said. “I hope that the strategic review that will take place soon will focus on the key interests of the European Union and that these talks will help to make our contacts more constructive.”
Is Russia ‘appeasing’ EU?
It sounds like the EU is on its way to becoming “non-agreement capable”. For now, though, it is only an “unreliable partner”.
When it comes to the French CSR rioting police, that’s hardly cherry-picking. Last I heard – and the count is probably higher now – there have been 12 deaths among Yellow Vest demonstrators and innocent people just standing near a window, and 12 people have been blinded. Major bodily damage. The Russian government could have shown that in all honesty and the footage is available, because I have seen some of it. The only reaon I can think of not to show the CSR brutality, is that the Navalny clown show is part of a “Strategy Of Tension” and the MSM Lügenpresse could dishonestly insinuate that by showing the CSR murders, Russia would somehow be threatening to do the same to Russians as the French riot police have done many times to French protesters.
This clip was shown to the head of the EU Foreign Ministry Borrell just before the ousting of some EU diplomat. It was not made to ‘convince’ anyone. Just to make a point being, ‘ad hominen’ removed .. mod
First you must understand what the meaning of ‘ad hominen’ is. it is a logical fallacy. That comment was not that. Please remove my comment as I will not add else to this blog.
ad hominem …. (of an argument or reaction) directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining.
“vicious ad hominem attacks” ………. thus the final sentence was removed all else is as originally posted … mod
The banker controlled US and the banker controlled EU showing double standards as far as Russia is concerned. They need Russia in the negative context, to create the impression that it presents a danger to both the US and EU, and also to have Russia play the part of the fall guy, being constantly on the receiving end of fabricated accusations, like those infantile false flags with the Scripals and Navalny, where Russia is of course accused. Simple, well known tactics, of pointing your finger at somebody so that fingers would not be pointed at you.
And not so infantile false flags as the MH17…
A few videos of ukrops attacking Donbass might be an idea……
My question is:
Isn’t the police being agressive in the West because they have also suffered from violence?
Isn’t this violence caused by the people who are utterly in despair about their own situation?
What the crownds in the east and west have in common?
Thanks.
“Isn’t the police being agressive in the West because they have also suffered from violence?”
My answer is:
Yes, as the result of a military fiscal state that sees military/violent solutions as the best way to respond to problems foreign or domestic. Police violence in the U.S. is institutional from the top down – security, military institutions, corporate protection – as well as from the bottom up – racial and class distinctions -white supremacism and many domestic wars against labour trying to organize and help and protect the workers.
“Violence made him a slave, and the habit of servitude gives him the thoughts and desires of a slave; he admires his tyrants more than he hates them, and finds his joy and his pride in the servile imitation of those who oppress him; his understanding is degraded to the level of his soul.”
~ “Democracy in America,” Alexis de Tocqueville, 1831
De Tocqueville, a French diplomat visiting the US, wrote that about Black slaves, but the principle is applicable to anyone of any race under slavery, serfdom, neo-slavery, neo-feudalism, etc., including those higher in the pyramid scheme like slave catchers and police. Breaking that cycle of violence, that pattern of abuse may be difficult, but not impossible.
It’s nice to see Maria Z. pushing back the MSM lies, with such a fighting spirit, but she alone cannot take on the propaganda machine of the west, which is a multi-headed Hydra head…chop off one head, two grow back.
Now the MSM is reporting the death of the doctor who attended Navalny after his poisoning at the age of 55 implying something sinister..
https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/04/europe/russia-navalny-doctor-maximishin-dies-intl/index.html
Lets face it, the West are going to milk this Navalny saga for all its worth.
Don’t think for a minute that the people here in the U.S. is sucking up this propaganda for you did you would be wrong, the people know full well who is to blame for their poverty and who is controlling the government and really couldn’t care less what is going on in other countries for as they say their plates are full now, and they don’t need anymore.!!
Good show: No Guff. no Guff at all from the Western Bozos.
Navalny has ridiculed the 5th column in Russia. And when it comes to west more and more people here are knowing now what e.g NYT allready knew in fall 2011:
“He has appeared as a speaker alongside neo-Nazis and skinheads, and once starred in a video that compares dark-skinned Caucasus militants to cockroaches. While cockroaches can be killed with a slipper, he says that in the case of humans, “I recommend a pistol.””
Just think about our liberals trying to explain why this racist is “The Good One”. What a farce.
The tragic irony of it is that we fought the Second War to defeat fascism! 70 or os years, weve got it back – by stealth!
Who was it that said:
Let me guess: Hillary Clinton?
That classic was written by George Orwell.
What would you define as “fascism,” IiS? The “merger of state and corporate power”? Because if that’s the case, Major General Smedley Butler said he and the US military were “a high–class muscle man for Big Business” over 100 years ago. Yes, we are told “we fought the Second [World] War to defeat fascism,” but how is that substantively different from how we are told “Putin invaded Crimea,” or “Assad gassed people”…?
Video is self explanatory: In Russia ‘protesters’ were ORDERED to PROVOKE a reaction FROM the Police; whilst in The West the Police were ordered to PROVOKE a reaction FROM the people. This is standard gameplan for The West – it how they maintain power.
Wish I had a Russian passport, I’d gladly trade my Unit for a Russia passport for myself and my family right now.
Need to get out of The West ASAP!!!
IMO.
The nice thing of the Russian Government is not so long ago they announced you now can get a Russian passport when you are still on your original one. You do not have to give up your “First” passport.
And the Government is making it easier for people who want to work and live in Russia to come to Russia.
I thought in the beginning the Government’s demand was you had to know and speak the language of the land on the forehand. Not anymore. I think it is easier to learn the Russian language on the job with trial and error, so to speak? And more Russians are probably starting to speak English, French?
