First, please read this analysis from Andrei Martyanov: https://smoothiex12.blogspot.com/2021/10/short-explanation.html
Second, Putin’s speech: probably the most important in his career! We will post the full text when the translators in the Kremlin deem that the time has come to finish their translation.
Third, I will then post a commented version of the transcript, with my remarks on a few key passages
Last, expect a Christian Vignette #6 in the near future.
Andrei
I’m posting that translation as it appears. Putin’s speech is complete now. /russian-president-vladimir-putin-is-participating-in-the-plenary-session-of-the-18th-annual-meeting-of-the-valdai-discussion-club-in-sochi/
The Q&A is partially up. But the Kremlin’s translation staff must have gone home for the weekend. We will see what we get tomorrow. (Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shoigu, HELP!)

thanks for very brief but very interesting little article Andrei
I am curious, why don’t Russian keep these hyper-sonic weapons in secret. And perhaps leak only some info in cunning way, so the enemy is aware of “super weapons”
Soviets used to do, and I assume it worked very well for them.
Going around and screaming – “look at me i have this and that. is sorry to say, but i find it ridiculous. In school few times I had fight with such bullies and they always lost, you know what i mean.
i think the russians intentionally demonstrate their advanced or at least ”enough” of their advanced weapons tech to ensure the homicidal imperial west understands completely what they will lose if they start a war with russia.
russia understands the west is ruled largely by fools and incompetents fronting for oligarchs and corporate money.
demonstrating on youtube kalibrs and khinzals is their way of letting those in actual charge know whats at stake if those behind the curtain allow their political puppets too much freedom to start a war.
its just way of reintroducing MAD back into the game via video and social media
”russia understands the west is ruled largely by fools and incompetents fronting for oligarchs and corporate money.”
Fools and incompetents indeed and forever high on putrid, ideological psychobabble. Since they are at bottom a fact-resistant coterie of narcissists, it’s a most appropriate strategy to make clear to their less deluded puppet-masters that the garbage has to be reined in case it gets too ecstatic by its own stench.
A deterrent isn’t a deterrent if your adversary doesn’t know about it.
Which bring the question on uncle sam’s secrecy on their toys. Truth is, they are not for defence nor are they for use as a deterrent.
An honest country doesn’t need to pour gazzillions of dollars into stealth tech so it can sneak into people’s backyard like theives in the night.
On wait…
Andrei My Brother,
I signed up for the Christian Vignette. How do I access it? Or was a link emailed to me and I missed it. I admit I am terrible at checking my email.

Saker, look at titules in Tass. Peskov was very busy.
“Putin didn’t talk about confrontation with West on basis of values in Valdai – Kremlin”. In that article:”At that time the idea of the Munich speech was not understood, it was not confrontational at all.”
“Moscow’s rejection of relations with NATO is not big deal – Kremlin”
“Moscow minimizes consequences of possible Ukrainian rapprochement with NATO , Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, that Russia could not stop this process”
