This will be my third and last War Warning. It is my opinion that the US government believes it can prevail in a war against Russia and is actively pursuing such a war which will include a nuclear first strike by one of the participants at some point. I think it is well to remember that ONE 1.3 megaton nuclear blast at an altitude of ~400 km over Kansas would create an EMP that would destroy every electric grid; every electronic device; and all of the transportation in the US, northern Mexico and southern Canada for months or years. It would not be difficult to do and we could not prevent it.
It is my further opinion that Ukraine shot down MH17 using missile batteries emplaced for the purpose shortly before the event and that Ukraine acted either in collusion or at the direction of the US government. I cannot prove that belief, nor will I attempt to defend it. I merely note that the US is actively and knowingly promoting untrue propaganda as factual information and has been caught and called out. It is my belief that the US cannot prevail in a nuclear war with Russia or anyone else, regardless of what the Washington establishment believes. ANY nuclear war will be one too many, even if there is no counterstrike. China would immediately grasp that they are next and would act, at minimum, by occupying Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines (or until the nuclear winter obliterated everything).

The footage is new – I have not seen this before – but this is not the 79th Airmobile Brigade. It is the 24th Mechanized Brigade from Yavoriv in the west of Ukraine. This base near Zelenopillya on the E50 road from Novoshakhtinsk was hit by a GRAD attack on July 11th.
The video is from right after the attack; fires are still burning. It shows some soldiers but does not clearly state who they are. They look very relaxed, even posing for the video. Evidently they are not the wounded remnants of the 24th Brigade. GRAD can hit its targets from 20 km away. I never knew NAF was actually there! Well, this again shows the extremely poor propaganda skills of the pro-Rus’ side. No modern army should go to war without professional photographers and videographers on board. Just look at all the smiling babes ATO found in Slavyansk after they liberated it! Every modern* mobile phone takes extremely good pictures in bright sunlight. Originally we only got four thumbnail quality photographs through Rusvesna. Publishing high quality photographs and video right away would have had a devastating effect on Ukie moral.
Ukraine claims “19 solders” were killed. Other sources say some 200 were killed or wounded. A Ukrainian serviceman on Ukie TV says “4 truckloads” of solders were killed, with nothing but lose limbs left. Make your own judgement.
79th Airborne Brigade was decimated this weeks. Ukrainian media published photos of the destruction of the outpost on July 24th. (example) The damage was of almost equal magnitude; the published photos show one T-64, one BMP, and four trucks destroyed.

The CounterPunch article you linked to, like every one I’ve read there, is a subtle form of disinformation. They all follow a pattern of detailing a long litany of atrocities without linking them together with any logic so no pattern emerges and no MO either.
There is no larger context given and no interest group(s) is identified nor any motivations given.
In other words, the information leads nowhere though it does leave the reader feeling somewhat vindicated in feeling their outrage but helpless never-the-less.
Vltchek (perhaps sardonically) even quotes another journalist decrying exactly what Vltchek himself is doing! Amazing!

Exactly! To convey understanding of a situation, it is incumbent on a competent (and ethical) journalist to describe the facts and quoting reliable sources for them. Assemble them without internal contradictions using logic that is plain and open and drawing conclusions that are meaningful in a larger context that then point to a solution. Vltchek does not do that and bemoans the lack of solutions and meaning with he himself does not provide.
There’s lots of other counterproductive things he engages in in that article but the above at least should be held in mind when reading at CounterPunch.
It would be worth reading the article again with my points in mind.
