What would happen when the neocons realize their candidate looses her chances to be elected president? Do they trust that they can still realize their agenda?
I was always assuming they would (kinda) lay low until next year. But if my above questions are true, they would have a strong incentive to support Erdogan with his offensive and ´buffer zone´.
According to this South Front video report, the Western imperial designs, with Turkey now openly leading as their front, are taking very definite and sinister shape.

NATO is presently holding a two-day ministerial meeting in Brussels, and it appears they are very willing to provide Turkey with military intelligence assistance for the invasion, such as AWACS planes and other services.
While the Turks are “gung-ho” to an extreme. Here is what Turkish prime minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated at the eve of the conference yesterday:
“Do not worry at all, the tyrants who turned Syria, my precious Aleppo and Bayirbucak into a lake of blood will one day definitely pay the price for what they have done. Nobody should forget how the Soviet forces, which were a mighty, super force during the Cold War and entered into Afghanistan, left Afghanistan in a servile situation. Those who have entered Syria today will also leave Syria in a servile way.”

One is wondering whether Davutoglu’s screaming merely reflects the backward culture of his upbringing, or is in addition his government dead set to act now militarily in Syria? We will found out soon. And if it is, then we will also immediately find out the answer to the key question: what is Russia going to do about it?
Davutoglu does seem to have a lot to say lately. It might be that a Russian or Syrian soldier might need to silence that in a permanent way. I wouldn’t shed any tears over that.

The Turkish General Staff has two important considerations regarding the international community over sending troops to Syria. The first of these two is that the United States has not made any preparations for ground troops to be deployed to Syria, as it knows a United Nations decision cannot be met due to Russia’s stance in the civil war in Syria.

Some comforting thoughts.
The Turkish military hate Erdogan -I believe he jailed all those he thought might oppose him. Nevertheless, a military coup to depose him is not out of the question.

Hawks are trying to reposition Turkey as Syria’s ‘saviour.’
The UN has issued a pan-condemnation of the conflict, laying all the blame on the current Syrian government and Assad.
The Senate Committee for Foreign Relations has seized on the resolution, and is no doubt in touch with the kangaroo court, the ICC.
The big problem is the Kurds. RT is making sure to keep the attacks on Cizre in Turkey to the fore.
And the MSM is in full ‘Evil Russia Bombs Hospitals, Schools etc.’ mode.
So how will the group who started to whole thing over the Quatari pipeline get their money back? How to get NATO ‘intervention’ moving ?
Judging by the rhetoric he’s using, I wouldn’t be surprised if a coup is afoot to replace Erdogan with ‘white knight’ Davutoglu. He is not widely recognised by the US or even European public, so they may be able to ‘sell’ him in way they can’t Erdogan.
And if Carter does a little arm-twisting, the HDP’ s ‘Turkish Obama’ might be ‘persuaded’ to play along.
But while such machinations are being plotted, will a third element with pro-Russian leanings render them null and void?

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – North Korea executed its army chief of staff, Ri Yong Gil, according to reports on Wednesday, which, if true, would be the latest in a series of executions, purges and disappearances under its young leader.
The news comes amid heightened tension surrounding North Korea after its Sunday launch of a long-range rocket, which came about a month after it drew international condemnation for conducting its fourth nuclear test.
A source familiar with North Korean affairs also told Reuters that Ri had been executed. The source declined to be identified, given the sensitivity of the matter.
If true,it might have nothing (or much,who knows) to do with the missile launch. But could be signs of just an internal power struggle.

It appears that Erdogan is determined to unset his only real supporters. I’m not really sure what to make of that. He destroyed his relationship (beyond repair for him personally,if not for Turkey) with Russia. From being someone Russia wanted to be friends with. He now is almost “public enemy number one” for Putin. And he’s now making threats and attacking the US as well.Just “who” does he think will support him if he makes enemies of “both” sides.It could be that he thinks he can “force” the US to do his bidding. But the US is more likely to “smash him” instead. The empire likes they’re minions to be servile. Threatening usually earns the slave the whip instead.

Depends. Maybe he thinks he’s in a mini Israel situation so he can throw his toys aboutI – ie the U.S. are determined to see if they can make their catastrophic miscalculation in Syria come good so he knows he can do want he wants as there is no way to stop the Russian momentum without a ground invasion. Alternatively it could just be a huge bluff in the attempt to gain leverage for Geneva.

Absolutely true. And come to think, the Empire occasionally turns against its minion even without this one’s overt disobedience. If the “pragmatic” Empire suddenly decides at one moment that the minion is getting too powerful, too independent, too much of a potential risk… Or if the fickle Empire simply loses interest, deciding to please another suitor on the horizon… Business über alles. The concept of “allegiance” or a “true friendship” is absent in the American character, so why should that not be the case on the imperial level as well?
Among recent “big” examples would be Saddam Hussein; there are other ones galore.
