Statute law and jurisprudence be damned, the evidence exposes a massive conspiracy on the part of the USG/CIA to obtain firm control over the internet and related information outlets … with potentially fatal consequences for many of their opponents. Gonzalo Lira is experiencing this danger firsthand.
What Gonzalo doesn’t mention is the intentional cozy, historical relationship between media monopolies and the US government. Monopolies (aside from utilities and sports teams) are supposed to be illegal … the Sherman Antitrust Act of 1892 and related legislation. By failing to break up FACEBOOKAPPLEGOOGLE TWITTERMICROSOFTYOUTUBE, the Federal Government and the internet monopolies have reached a subterranean understanding: do the government’s bidding and the government will not prosecute under the Sherman Antitrust Act.
Look at this another way. Monopolies by definition set prices in the marketplace. They set their prices/rates and the marketplace pays … and those who try otherwise are effectively banned from the marketplace. Assured profits … for someone!
The deal is that if they do government’s bidding (to include censorship, shadow banning, and de-platforming), the government will guarantee its monopoly profits, which represent the government’s decision to allow them to freely exploit the marketplace to maximize their profits. It’s a deal made in heaven: the government surreptitiously silences its critics, and people get very rich helping them do that! Grift by any other name?
I will let slide that Google and Facebook have suspicious origins traceable to the CIA. GOOGLE it! I believe the same about Microsoft. Its history is completely counter to IBM’s culture … giving the contract for their new PC operating system to a kid who is a college dropout and doesn’t own the software (vaporware) he’s peddling … but he did have family relationships with people high within the IBM hierarchy. Add that to the USG’s eventual, non-accidental decision to make Microsoft DOS its official operating system knowing that all government contractors would have to quickly transition to Microsoft for compatibility. This created a de facto monopoly, given that at least 33% of the US population are either directly or indirectly (contractors or subcontractors) linked to the Federal Government.
As a measure of scale, I will also let slide the lengths that the USG/CIA went to during the Cold War to take control of print media. Consider the scope of an operation that sought to take control of all the textbooks printed in Western Europe to assure that they support politically correct narratives. Trying to seize control of the internet as the next paradigm of communication is easy: it’s what they do.
P.S. The long legacy of software defects in the Microsoft operating systems have been features, not defects. Why else would governments (some hostile and some allied) decide to ban Microsoft software from their sensitive government applications? Their suspicions regarding “backdoors” and other security issues are fully justified. For them, call them expectations!
