I wish to ask Orthodox Christians here, what do they think about Sheikh’s predictions? Do they concur, if so, why so and to what degree? If not, why not?
It is my wish that Orthodox Christians do concur with the Sheikh.
Not sure what you mean by “concur”…?
The bible does refer to Armageddon and Gog and Magog. The Koran however contains much more information about geopolitical events in the endtimes than any Christian text as far as I know.
Génial video and the timing is perfect.
All my respect to Sheik Imrân Hosein and the brilliant comments he’s doing on Hagia Sophia. I studied eschatology by different ways but it doesn’t matter as there is only ONE TRUTH. I agree with him as unfortunately we are very close from a terrible nuclear conflict due to the blindness of the British and American administrations and war mongers.
All my blessings to this respectable Man.
If the present arrogant liberal administration wages nuclear war, I believe they will be unable to cheat their way to any other victories in the coming years.

The Sheikh Imran Hosein always educates. With this fiery speech he means to activate some sleepy minds and the ignorant who should understand that Erdogan’s world is celebrating a theft of the Hagia Sophia from the Orthodox.
Pointing to Pakistan, also, and chastising them for supporting Erdogan’s plans for empire and the flawed use of the Koran to justify the theft of the cathedral, Hagia Sophia.
Hosein’s special focus is eschatology. The end days. His predictions are those of the Koran and he believes in what he pronounces.
A Great War, a nuclear exchange between NATO and Russia-China, will be the end, and no days will follow. He offers hope that a great coming together of Orthodox and righteous Muslims who believe as he does will exist.
My mind has a hard time making that leap from Armageddon to peace and brotherhood, but the Sheik is a scholar and lives his beliefs and makes a case for a day of justice he is sure will come.
“My mind has a hard time making that leap from Armageddon to peace and brotherhood”
It is not entirely clear to me either when the Muslim-Christian alliance will be formed, if it is before or after the Great War)
I also want to point out that in the most recent direct conflict between Orthodox and Muslims – the Bosnian war- the Muslim community was very divided: There were two Muslim leaders: pro Serbian Fikret Abdic and pro-western Alija Izetbegovic.
Before the outbreak of war, Abdic advocated for a Muslim-Serbian political alliance and he won the popular vote in Bosnia, defeating the pro- western Izetbegovic.
Unfortunately, in a strange turn events, as so often happens in history, Izetbegovic managed to wrest power from Abdic…(The first thing Izetbegovic did was to renege the Cutleiro- Carrington peace plan aka Lisbon treaty).
After all the carnage, relations have been poisoned, but I hope people realise that the desire for such an alliance did exist once..even in our part of the world.
there is a hadith that explain the sequence of events.. jerussalam florishing centre stage -> madinah fall desolation -> malhamah (great war) -> opening of constantinople -> appearance of the false messiah
Gods problem is that the peaceful few cant separate themselves from the warring masses until the few can sustain their own survival among the warring masses, and this alone could take quite a while, like another century.
May God guide Russian leadership to never trust Erdogan or the current Turkish leaders. Amen.
Ottoman empire was a false “Islamic” empire. Hagia Sofia is a house of God and must/will be returned to its rightful owners – the Orthodox Christian people as prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) predicted 1400 years ago.
Sheikh Imran Hosein is 100% correct. Muslims stopped thinking 500 years ago and they are not reading their Holy book – the Qu’ran properly. It is indeed a shame what this ummah has become – although amongst them came the last prophet and the last revealed book.
It is a matter of faith for every Muslim to believe in prophet Jesus (peace be upon him), on his miracle birth, on his resurrection and eventually on his return back to our space and time – in flesh and blood. According to Islamic Eschatology, THIS is the mother of all events that remains to occur in the “end” times. Prophet Jesus(peace be upon him) will rule from Jerusalem – with Truth and justice and that Truth will triumph over all rivals for ever and till end of history. So said God almighty in His last revealed book and also His last prophet – Muhammed (peace be upon him).
We will always pray for the well being of the rightly guided Orthodox people. They have a major role to play now in the destiny of those people who hold the Truth dear. Muslims have a peripheral role – if at all – in the end of history and are a spent force.
Blessed are the ways of God – He uses who He wills to do His bidding at His choosing.
I know virtually nothing of the Muslim world, yet I was quite taken by the Sheikh’s polemic. He was direct and spoke in a poetical manner–even in English. He predicts a Great War
which I pray will not come, but his faith in the coming together of the Orthodox Christians and the Muslims was heart-felt and loving.
Thank you for posting his speech.
I am an Orthodox Christian and I listened to the video. All I can say is beware the picture he paints is one of Antichrist reigning in Jerusalem. Jesus will not return to rule from Jerusalem. That is Antichrist. Rather Christ’s return will herald the general ressurection followed by the Last Judgement.
As far as the idea of the Orthodox Church melding with Islam that is impossible. For a good explanation of why please see the writings of St. John of Demascus who wrote an analysis of the claims of Islam while living under Muslim occupation.
What does it mean that the Orthodox would accept the ‘truth’ of the Quran? Does not this imply that they should renounce the Truth of Orthodoxy? For the Quran Jesus is just a ‘nabi’ (and lesser than Mahomed). End of times for Quran is when everybody embraces Islam.
I have listened to many lectures of the Sheik and I have never heard him proselytise. He has always referred to the different religions as distinct from one another and claiming that this “multiplicity” of religious thought will allow a greater number of people to be saved.
As for accepting the truth in the Koran: if all geopolitical events occur as they are described then we would have to accept that they were correct…there is already the issue of the body of the pharaoh, the one who chased Moses. This discovery was predicted in the Koran as a warning.
Sequence of events (non exhaustive) please add / amend:
Great war
USD replaced by Gold standard
Conquest of Constantinople by a Muslim army
Return of Hagia Sofia to the Orthodox
Building of Solomon temple
Drying up of the Sea of Galilee
Appearance of Antichrist in Jerusalem
Return of Jesus the same way he left us
Destruction of Gog & Magog
Time frame: great war within next 4 years (ie during Biden admin)
Appearance of Dajjal: with 7 months – 7 years after the Great War.
“Accept the ‘truth’ of the Qur’an” here means that the Orthodox Christian faith acknowledges that prophet Muhammed was indeed the prophet of the same One God that Orthodox Christians pray and worship to.
No one is implying to “renounce” anything. Just as Muslims – when they accepted other prophets like Abraham, Moses or Jesus (peace ang blessings of God be upon them all) as true prophets of One God, does not need to renounce the prophethood of Muhammed(peace be upon him), hence there is no implication that one must leave the ‘ummah'(or community) of that prophet to acknowledge the Truth that came to other prophets. Everyone lives by law that was send to those prophets that they follow and live as the ‘ummah’ of that prophet.
The holy Qur’an never claimed supremacy over other revealed religions by One true God. Although Qur’an does contend that earlier revealed religions had a corruption of text as the time passed by.
Yes prophet Jesus(peace be upon him) is a mighty ‘nabi’ of God in Qur’an, but he was sent only to the people of Israel while prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him) was sent to the entire mankind. But that does not make prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him) any greater than prophet Jesus(peace be upon him) at all ! According to God’s wisdom and in Qur’an, God says the prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him) will be the seal of prophets – that means the last of them all, no one is going to come after him – hence he is going to reveal God’s final truth to all mankind.
“End of times for Quran is when everybody embraces Islam” – you misunderstand. Islam in Arabic means to “acquiring peace by submitting ones will to God’s will”, and those who do that are called Muslims – hence “Islam” is not exclusive to the followers of prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him). According to Qur’an, followers – of any prophet who came during their time, who followed God’s commands, were following “Islam” i.e “submitting their will to God’s will” or were Muslims. So therefore there exists the communities or ummah’s of different prophets living in harmony with each other and each following the laws and traditions of their respective holy books and prophets.
And the proof is there if you observe both in Qur’an and the traditions of prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him). God in Qur’an acknowledges that Christians and Jews as the ummah’s of prophets Jesus and Moses respectively(peace and blessing of God be upon them) and asks Muslims to refer to them with respect and love and calls them the “people of the book”. Again in Qur’an, God explicitly refers to the ummah of prophet Moses(peace be upon him) as the “children of Israel” or the ummah of prophet Saleh or Shuaib or Lot or Jesus(peace and blessing of God be upon them all). God, never in Qur’an orders/implies that the ummah of earlier prophets abandon their faith and come into the fold of ummah of prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him). In fact, in Surah Rum in Qur’an, God says that the current Muslims(at the time of prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him) will celebrate when Rum(orthodox Christians in Holy Eastern Roman empire or Byzantium or earlier Muslims) will be victorious against the Persians(who did not believe in One true God).
Now in regards to prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him) traditions, he encountered Jews in Medina and he respected them – calling them “people of the book” and turning his face while praying towards their Qiblah i.e Jerusalem and fasting according to the their laws, i.e prophet Moses(peace be upon him). Prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him) never ordered their forced conversion, in fact he was very respectful towards them. In regards to Christians, he send earlier Muslim converts to save them from persecution by polytheists of tribe of Quraish – who ruled Mecca, to the king of Christians, then in the area of Ethiopia/Eritrea – named Najashi, requesting him to protect the Muslims which the king did. Prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him) offered Najashi’s funeral prayer according to Islamic traditions after he died. I can go on and on about the traditions of prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him) towards the followers of other ummahs(Jews and Christians) but I think it is enough for me to end here.
Please do not get mixed up by what other “Islamic” kingdoms or “Muslim” kings did in history towards other ummah’s(Jews and Christians) with that of God’s commands in Qur’an and the traditions of prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him).
To what ‘book’ does Mahomed refers to when he talks about the ‘people of the book’?
Certainly not the Scriptures of the Christians (namely the Old Testament and the New Testament which prophesied and described the Incarnation of the Son of God, His Passion and Death on the Cross, his Resurrection and his teaching to the Apostles, including the teaching about the End of the World and the Christ’s Day of Judgment [which is a far cry from any Islamic ‘eschatology’] – kept unaltered by the Orthodox people), that they denounce as corrupted and the teachings of the Christians as ‘Shirk’, idolatry, because they give an ‘associate’ to God. The Orthodox are ‘mushrikun’, idolaters, disbelievers, infidels, the worst sinners who deserve in this world the severest punishment.
”He [the ‘infidel’] deserves to be executed and exiled from this life, just as he deserves the severest punishment in the Hereafter”. ‘Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the jizyah (tribute tax) with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued’ (Al-Tawbah, 9:29).
To what ‘book’ does Mahomed refers to when he talks about the ‘people of the book’? – Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) is referring to what God said in Qur’an regarding the other ‘ummahs’ – as the “people of the book”. God is referring to Old Testament/Torah of Prophet Moses(pbuh), the Psalms of Prophet David(pbuh) and the New Testament/Bible of Prophet Jesus(pbuh).
“Certainly not the Scriptures of the Christians (namely the Old Testament and the New Testament which prophesied and described the Incarnation of the Son of God,…” – In Qur’an, God is clear that the earlier scriptures have either been corrupted(i.e. part of the written text has been changed over time) or parts of it are completely lost. For example, the following cannot be from the True God – who is merciful towards His creation, see (Deuteronomy 25:19; also see Exodus 17:14 and Numbers 24:20). Also see (Samuel I, 15:3).
“The Orthodox are ‘mushrikun’, idolaters, disbelievers, infidels, the worst sinners who deserve in this world the severest punishment….” – This is rubbish. I challenge you to find this as verbatim in Qur’an – that “Orthodox” are as you describe. You are very mischievous and misguided. And by the way, you do not mention the context of the verses neither you quote the verses before or after the one that you single out. For example, which surah and verse do you quote this from?…””He [the ‘infidel’] deserves to be executed and exiled from this life, just as he deserves the severest punishment in the Hereafter”.”
And as far as Surah (Al-Tawbah, 9:29) is concerned, there are different translations in English by different authors; few are the following;
Fight those People of the Book who do not believe in Allah, nor in the Last Day, and do not take as unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have declared as unlawful, and do not profess the Faith of Truth; (fight them) until they pay jizyah with their own hands while they are subdued.
— Mufti Taqi Usmani
Fight the ones who do not believe in Allah nor in the Last Day, and do not prohibit whatever Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, and do not practice (Literally: to have as a religion) the religion of Truth-from among the ones to whom the Book was brought-until they give the tax out of hand (i.e., by a ready money payment, or in token of submission) and have been belittled..
— Dr. Ghali
Fight those of the People of the Book who do not [truly] believe in God and the Last Day, who do not forbid what God and His Messenger have forbidden, who do not obey the rule of justice, until they pay the tax and agree to submit.
— Abdul Haleem
Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.
— Pickthall
Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
— Yusuf Ali
Now let me give you Surahs and verses where God in Qur’an talks about the “people of the book” with love and respect.
Surah 2 verse 47 – “O Children of Israel, call to mind My special favour which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you to all others.”
Surah 3 verses 113-115 – “Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book are a portion that stand (for the right); they rehearse the Revelation of God all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration. They believe in God and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten in all good works. They are in the ranks of the righteous. Of the good that they do, nothing will be rejected of them, for God knows well those that they do right.”
Surah 3 verse 199 – “And there are, certainly, among the People of the Book, those who believe in God, in the Revelation to you, and in the Revelation to them, bowing in humility to God.
They will not sell the Revelation of God for a miserable gain. For them is a reward with their Lord, and God is swift in account.”
Surah 7 verse 159 – “Of the people of Moses there is a section who guide and do justice in the light of truth.”
Surah 5 verse 5 – “This day all good things have been made lawful to you. The food of the People of the Book is permitted to you, and your food is permitted to them. And permitted to you are chaste women, be they either from among the believers or from among those who have received the Book before you, provided you become their protectors in wedlock after paying them their bridal-due, rather than go around committing fornication and taking them as secret-companions. The work of he who refuses to follow the way of faith will go waste, and he will be among the utter losers in the Hereafter.”
The idea that the Christian Scriptures have been corrupted is a grave accusation. Actually Christians are accused that they consciously falsified them by introducing the false teachings of Trinity, Jesus’ divinity, death and resurrection, suppressing the alleged prophecies about Mahomed. For that they must suffer penalties. In that respect Muslims align with all the ‘Higher Criticism’ of the Bible.
How many people will be left, after the nuclear war, to unite? The gentleman says 90% of the present population will no longer be around, the balance probably living dispersed over whatever remains habitable of this earth, no doubt in far flung, hostile areas, without the means of communication we know today? I do not mean to question his sincerity, but as a non-believer, I am a practical person and inclined to question predictions. BV
That is correct it will be the “Combatants” the holy saying of prophet Mohammad )Peace be upon him, is very specific whereby he said in “Malhama” war, (Implied nuclear conflict ) where 90% of the combatants will perish. And interestingly learned muslims always add to such information by saying (Wallah O Alam ) and only God knows best.
In Arabic the word of flesh is Laham, the word “Malahama” comes from Laham…..in other words in “Malhama” war, Human flesh will be so widely strewn on the surface of the earth that in another holy saying of blessed prophet Mohammad Peace be upon him, where he says a bird in flight will fly, and fly, and fly for so long that it will be exhausted and would want to sit on some earthly surface, but will not find any space except dead human corpses.
you need to listen to Hoseins words anon NOT your own “in brain” commentary to his words…
He explains it clear as day in the vid above, so where you got that impression i can not understand bc i listened to what he actually said, literally the opposite of what you did.
This visit to Pakistan is timely by the Sheikh. Not many Islamic countries would be so accomodating to the Sheikh. There is a significant part of pakistan that is attached to the truth and his teaching there will bear fruit. He is rightly chastising the elite and those under the influence of western and Saudi power games, although changes have taken place with Russia and China. Unfortunately, the scholarly class are reluctant to support or endorse his correct and wise perspective despite his explanations coming from the Quran. Nevertheless, he sees potential in Pakistan and in the youth and is focusing his efforts to spread his knowledge through the universitys, his books and lectures.
Without doubt the folly of capturing and converting the Hagia Sophia to a mosque is shameful. It will be returned to its rightful owners and the two communities will embrace each other despite centuries of hostility. The seeds are being planted and will come to fruition under the guidance of Jesus (peace be upon him). It’s no surprise they are the two communities eagerly awaiting his return. Jesus will confirm the truth of the validity of the prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) and the Quran. They will then co-exist with mutual respect.
Islam means submission to the will of God.
In Islam, all Prophets preached Islam. It only makes sense as the One God will reveal the same fundamentals. This is mentioned in the Qur’an (42:13):
“The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah – the which We have sent by inspiration to thee – and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein:…”
So Jesus (peace be upon hm) will confirm and clarify this unity of faith.
Jesus (pbuh) is classed as a Rasul or messenger in Islam. These are the cream of the crop of all the prophets with high distinction. Jesus and Muhammad are inclusive here as well as notable names such as Abraham and Moses (pbut). They have the own unique distinctions e.g. Jesus (pbuh) was given a miraculous birth. Mohammad (pbuh) was made the seal of propbethood.
The video left me a little confused. Having visited Istanbul and seen the Hagia Sofia from outside and inside, my visit coincided with the start of works inside the cathedral to chip away at the 2.5cm of plaster coat that had been applied by the Ottomans. That is, the administrators of the Hagia Sofia were under instructions of the Turkish government, under Erdogan, to restore the walls BACK to their original Christian Orthodox mosaic cover. I asked about the very distinct features – wall paintings and murals – remaining, of Christianity on the inside of the cupola and the administrators and guides assured me that these symbols of Christianity would never be physically covered up. There continues to be a major Christian mosaic above the exit doorway….very prominent.
I note two separate issues – the acceptance of Hagia Sofia as a museum – a place of historic significance, neutered of its true Christian Orthodox purpose (of worship) which was something that has been accepted by Christians as the least of evils – but then the sudden decision by Erdogan to return it as a place of Muslim worship (which is what the controversy is currently about) …however, one has to understand what has actually taken place: the inside of the cathedral remains unchanged. But, with the clever use of lighting / light filters / holographic technology, the Christian symbols have been ‘masked’ – that is to say, all the Orthodox Christian paintings and mosaics are still there, in fact they are not being physically covered up but are actually being continuously further exposed – but…using only modern lighting technology, the features are covered up. So my understanding of this aspect is that Erdogan has been fully accepting of the sensibilities of the Orthodox Christian world, whilst at the same time pandering to his support base. I would call this a typical Erdogan manoeuvre, to try to have it both ways…. is this bad? The modern Turkish state sits firmly in charge, in Istanbul and can in reality do what it wants with this cathedral.
The other aspect is something related to the exterior architecture. The Hagia Sofia is an Orthodox Christian construction. But the Ottomans added the Minarets. I see this as both a symbolic merging of the Christian and Islamic cultures as well as a refined enhancement, a thing of great beauty. Take this line of thinking further> The Islamic world then spread this architecture wherever Islamic societies prospered. It is surely not lost on any Christian when he visits a place such as Pecs in Hungary, he will find a ‘typical mosque” which is in fact the same architecture as the Hagia Sofia – the one in Pecs having been built by the Ottomans – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosque_of_Pasha_Qasim
so here we have the irony that the Chrisitian Orthodox architecture was built by the Ottomans in Pecs – and the Christians later converted it into a church…
The Hammans in Pecs, ie the Turkish baths, also have the exact same architecture. You visit Sopron, Hungary on the border to Austria – and their most proud architecture is a “minaret” https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/223702306462291178/
which towers above the city. actually a Fire Watch tower – the architecture is Ottoman and the purpose is the same > someone stands above the city, watching over the sheeple…
Then there is the 40 metre high Eger minaret > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eger
So i am confused what the fuss is all about. The Islamic world has made Christian Orthodox architecture as part of its own culture and transported and transposed this architecture across the world. and the Christian world has taken this Christianised Ottoman architecture and converted it to Christian churches ….Is this bad? i do not think so…it is just a part of the common thread of history and so in an oblique manner the Sheikh is correct, that there is a commonality there between the Islamic and Orthodox christian cultures.
i will not address any commonality between the actual beliefs, as this is for scholars and theologians and not for a layman like myself.
As for the topic he addresses of Armageddon, the current Russian leadership does not interfere directly in Turkish internal affairs and has no wish to do so, but does aim to coax Erdogan away from his extreme flip-flops in the traditional Turkish thinking of playing Russia off against the USA and then getting some benefit from this (as Erdogan is currently doing eg in the Ukraine and NK). It is totally obvious from a geopolitical and military perspective that Istanbul offers a significant choke point which Russia would immediately address if major hostilities would start. The issue then… of whether Russia would invade Istanbul and then restore Hagia Sofia under Russian occupation to the Orthodox Christian world… would seem a logical and natural thing to do…?
The elephant in the room is however the CIA – these malevolents started to construct the intrigue against Patriarch Bartholmew already back in 2010 and have successfully created a fracture within the Ukraine, as part of the process of assisting the De-Russification of the Ukraine.
Herewith a summary of the complex events> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Moscow%E2%80%93Constantinople_schism
So if this situation is a precedent, it is entirely possible IMHO that Erdogan would work closely with the CIA to undermine and fracture any hope of common ground between the Islamic and Orthodox Christian worlds…whether the Sheikh has his noble rant or not… as the Turkish saying goes: “The dogs bark but the caravan carries on.”
Interesting comments about the architecture…but I the think the subject is much more deeper than that.
You are talking about the CIA, Erdogan, Russia and Ukraine at this moment in present history as if you did not listen to what the Sheikh has said……The Sheikh is telling you that he is predicting a nuclear exchange between the NATO Western alliance and Russia-China.
In the event of a nuclear exchange, there will be no more CIA, Erdogan or the current configuration of nation states as we know it. The world as we know it will be different, and we, the current billions of Muslims and Christians of the world do not believe that human history will end with the human species being wiped out by a nuclear war. The historical human process will continue, however bleak that maybe and even after millions if not billions of people have died.
This does not mean that the believing people should encourage or want such a war to take place, not at all. It is just that we believe this war will take place whether we like it or not and this war has been prophesized by numerous prophets of God (the God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammed).
If atheists or whoever else want to believe that their will be no Armageddon, or that after such an Armageddon all human life on Earth will cease to exist, this is their right to believe that, but this is definitely not what we believe.
Thanks for the response. I did understand what the Sheikh said but i am a sceptic as far as such religious prophecies go, much as i respect his basic reasoning of the irrationality between ‘tribes’. My reasoning is that the prophecies relate to a time period which is in the distant past and relate more appropriately to projections based on behaviours between peoples of that era. I made predictions of my own when i was a student, which have gradually been proven right but they were based on projections of modern events and processes. I could contradict myself by stating that i am aware that Leonardo da Vinci made predictions – which he drew on paper – of technologies that would one day exist…so such older prophecies are proven to have value.. just as much as Arthur C Clarkes more recent prophecy about satellite communications was proven right.
But… my own understanding of the processes of today, is firmly based on the interactions between the ‘tribes’ of today and not on far distant earlier prophecies – and i do indeed agree that the threat of nuclear war exists and appears to be more threatening, based on the current behaviour of the Irrational world (US, UK, israel and proxies) versus the Rational world (ROW)
so my assertion related to the modern irrationality espoused by Erdogan and how he approached the issue of Hagia Sofia and the psychopaths at the CIA are the ones fomenting most of the trouble (and Israel can be added) but i also feel that there are positive signs where there are players who have been and are able to keep the irrational players in check. So…IMHO – no nuclear war – due to M.A.D. and careful diplomacy – and if it does happen, my own view is that it is then no longer a question that ‘some will survive and will then seek more common ground’ – but that planet earth will fracture and break up and be destroyed completely….with nothing whatsoever surviving. This planet is very fragile… So there is a need for someone – perhaps an Al Gore type, who can create a similar tipping point – to bring the irrational ones to their senses BEFORE the cataclysm – and not to passively accept “there will definitely be destruction based on current trends and the survivors will seek reconciliation only after the big bang.”
Analyst,
There is nothing wrong with cultural fusion per se, but it’s unpleasant when it’s done by force.
I agree that the Ottomans borrowed from Orthodox religious architecture. They also strengthened the Orthodox religion: The sultan was worried that his Christian subjects would run off and join forces with the Vatican, against him. For this reason he fostered the difference between us and the Latins. He united the “Rum Millet” (all orthodox lands, no national distinctions) and tied us very closely to the Ecumenical Patriarch in Constantinople.
Our culture and religion would probably not have survived if Constantinople had fallen to the Vatican…
As part of the Ottoman empire, the Orthodox were protected from Papism, religious wars, uniatism, and the reformation that convulsed the Latin Church.
Unfortunately there was a hefty price to pay in the flesh by our ancestors who were regularly massacred, genocided, and kidnapped to fill the ranks of the emissaries. So while we should be grateful for our culture and religion, Orthodox Christians mostly hate (neo) Ottomanism.
Erdogan is a NATO stooge, leader of the Takfir proxies, who have unleashed horror in the Balkans, Libya, Syria, Armenia etc.
Looking beyond Hagia Sofia, in Cyprus, Armenia, Kosovo, Erdogan’s foot soldiers and proxies use Orthodox Churches as discotheques and rubbish dumps. ..
To me, Erdogan is an enemy of the putative Muslim-Christian alliance.
i totally agree that Erdogan is a “nasty piece of work”. and stands in the way of a more civilised approach. The only consolation is that his unpredictability can make life difficult also for the Americans – almost as much as for the Russians…this topic having been discussed in an article of The Saker some time back.
Erdogan is doing the exact same ‘mistake’ as Bin Laden – working with the Americans when it suits him but then turning against their interests when it suits him…perhaps the S400 that the Russians sold to him will not protect Erdogan, the next time that the Americans organise another putsch-attempt? But then again, it is amazing what a few suitcases full of Dollars has achieved for the Americans to get Erdogan back into line… My Turkish friends say that the Russian boycott of tomato crop and ban on Russian tourist visits to Turkey, very quickly undermined the support base that Erdogan relied on…so maybe the Russians should have continued to squeeze the Turkish economy… The more educated westernmost Turks are mostly secular and despise Erdogan….so there is some hope for a change in the status-quo.
@ Serbian girl
“Churches as discotheques and rubbish dumps. ..”
Yes indeed this is not nice at all…and it reminded me of the way things are going in the UK. There was a time when church buildings were being abandoned by the Anglican Church and friends who are vicars were complaining just how little income they received from the Anglican Church…but the latter appears to have a high income from property rentals… Locally a church was converted into an office equipment warehouse…other local ones burnt down and were never rebuilt…others have been ‘luckier’, being converted into individual Flat units which however is a clumsy way of re-using the building. Then you have local communities screaming for more community centres. .. but the Anglican church does not even approach this issue, to offer the abandoned sites for community purposes…
i could go on about the Salvation Army, where the exact same processes apply.
The domestic economy of the UK is not a war zone and there are no major tensions between religious communities…but…the contempt for their own culture, is glaringly visible…the pure pursuit of money seems to be far more important for the ‘management’ than addressing the community and keeping a sense of community.
This idea of a nuclear war sounds an impossible and preposterous thesis with all due respect to the sheikh. Perhaps the “great war” hadith should be read as the final war between systems of belief and ‘systems’ of disbelief while the 99% rate for combatants as referiing not to actual soldiers killed but to everyday people who have fallen into a coma of disbelief. As for Hagia Sophia, one can choose to be a realist, a pessimist, an optimist, or a cosmist.
There are numerous political scientists from many distinguished circles today who warn that we are treading towards such a precipice (due mainly to the psychopathic manifest destiny belief of Zionist elites).
Iran is and has been calling for a Atom-weapons free world. Would you call that naive? You should recognize 1st that the nations and peoples of the world do not want Nuclear war including many from these so-called “Zionist elites” and their public . The one who wants and envisions nuclear war is, in Quranic cosmology, the “party of satan.” More practically though, what in your mind is the scenario that you think sets the stage for the discussion, agreement and decision to initiate first time use of these deterrance weapons by any one of the 7 or 8 countries that have them? (Yes, I am familair with the Beirut blast.)
A few years ago – quite some time after the issue of Israel having nuclear weapons was exposed by Vanunu – there was a Time magazine article – right on the very last page – where Shimon Perez was interviewed. i recall that he stated that he had been invited to Egypt to meet his counterpart who then showed him around the military facilities and wanted to prove to Israel that they had nothing to fear from Egypt. The Egyptian politician then said to him “well…now that i have shown you around our facilities it would be interesting to receive an invitation from YOU so that WE could be assured that Israel poses no threat to us.” Perez then said that his response was that this was not possible. The Egyptian politician then asked why and Perez replied, :”WE rely on the perception that we can pose a threat. What would happen if you were to visit us and see that we pose no threat to you? Would that not be self-defeating? so we cannot invite you”
The statement of Perez is a clever one, full of ambiguities. it leaves open the question of whether in fact Israel truly possesses nuclear weapons or that they were still active, years after Vanunu stated they did exist. In reality, it does not mean that if you store nuclear weapons that they will still fizz and bang 20 years later. It is a very expensive process to upgrade the “200 nuclear weapons” that Israel is said to possess. So i am wondering if Israel actually still has active weapons or whether it is an empty boast…
Was there any radioactivity after the Beirut blast?
Your right to suggest the party of Satan will be compelled to provoke nuclear war.
The islamic litetature contains a very interesting prophecy which the Sheikh has offered his opinion on:
Abu Huraira reported Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: The Last Hour would not come before the Euphrates uncovers a mountain of gold, for which people would fight. Ninety-nine out of each one hundred would die but every man amongst them would say that perhaps he would be the one who would be saved (and thus possess this gold).
The Euphrates passes through Iraq/Syria and empties into the Persian/Arabian Gulf. A geography critical and influential in oil. The Petro dollar was agreed upon by the Gulf Countries at the insistence of the US. The dollar taken off the gold standard in the 1970’s and fluttering was given a new lease of life as the world’s foremost commodity was now underwritten in dollars. This gave the dollar and thus the American empire a huge boost for World domination (aided and abetted by the Arab Sheikhdoms who essentially allied themselves with the devil). This is potentially the ‘mountain of Gold’ referred to above. Just as gold is a lucrative monetary asset, oiil likewise was functioning as a form of currency. The believers should not touch it as the tradition says, at least not allow it to function as money.
It is the threat to this unjust international monetary system, that will trigger a huge conflict, as inferred from the above tradition 90% of combatants will be killed. The US Zionist elite maintain a position of arrogant dominance with this monetary privilege. As their abuses and hubris has grown, Russia and China have reasserted themselves, by divine decree, and are orchestrating the challenge to Zio/US hegemonic power as well as this bogus money machine holding the world to ransom. This will lead to a war that will likely involve nuclear weapons rather than a conventional war, considering the 90% combatants ratio.
This is only one angle to the prophesied conflict but a backdrop nevertheless.
The last hour here refers to the last age/end times.
For a much better explanation of the above prophecy. The Sheikh’s video is below:
If you come from MSM news feeds you are right. But on on this site we are at least two layers deeper down the onion and zone A controllers are in my view getting desperate to keep their power and you need only one to go a bridge to far and sh*** hits the fan. Then to all our horror a nuclear exchange might happen.
Sahih International: They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, “Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly.” They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, “Its knowledge is only with Allah , but most of the people do not know.”
“The Hour” from the Sahih international was speeking to the Day of Judgement for all of humanity (from Adam to the last person alive.)
This is far removed from what the Sheik Imran Hossen spoke about.
Sheik Imran Hossen speaks about of the “end times.”
The “end times” are super important events because they act like pegs on a timeline charting how close humanity is before the return of Jesus Christ. Jesus’s return is important because it sets the clock ticking on how much time is left for the AntiChrist, to be alive on planet earth.
It is called the end times, or the end of recorded history, because after Armageddon, assuming this is the first of the last of the 10 major signs, all peoples of planet earth will now believe an Omnipitant God exists and hence they will now be to busy dealing with that new reality so the will not care anymore about reading the papers or charting history hence the term “end times,” or the end of recorded history.
Incidentally the Prophet (peace be upon him) also mentioned after Armagedon repentance of sins will no longer be accepted, hence people of the planet earth have to do the hard work of figuring out the Almighty exists BEFORE Armageddon takes place because if they did not figure this out before this Major event occurred it will be of no use to them after it occurs, because their belief in a God at that point in time will be considered too late.
Belief in God has never been enough. Satan believed in God before Adam took his first step. Belief in God will not save you. Whether you are Jew, Muslim or Christian God gave you a life and free will so that you might surrender that life to his service. Surrendering to God leads to salvation, there is no other road.
It is always a blessing to hear from Sheikh Imran Hosein. He never fails to inspire me to read from the Koran after his talks. I wish he would perhaps discuss the most hauntingly beautiful Surah in the Koran; that is Surah 100 in my opinion. For me the imagery that this Surah evokes is otherworldly and very succinctly describes the trouble with mankind.
I wish to ask Orthodox Christians here, what do they think about Sheikh’s predictions? Do they concur, if so, why so and to what degree? If not, why not?
It is my wish that Orthodox Christians do concur with the Sheikh.
Kind regards
Not sure what you mean by “concur”…?
The bible does refer to Armageddon and Gog and Magog. The Koran however contains much more information about geopolitical events in the endtimes than any Christian text as far as I know.
Saker probably knows a lot more about this.
i find islamic escathology very interesting, i both read and watch Hr Hosein.

Never trust a Turk – so the saying goes.
“the Orthodox Church melding with Islam” There’s no mixing going on. Rather, there will grow an affinity between Muslims and Orthodox Christians.

And as far as Surah (Al-Tawbah, 9:29) is concerned, there are different translations in English by different authors; few are the following;
There has been meetings with the Pope to unite all religions into 1 globalist religion. https://www.voanews.com/europe/pope-urges-all-religions-unite-peace-justice
BV
He said 90% of the combatants. Combatants are not the same thing as the whole population.

Our blessed Sheikh.
Hope I can still comment here…
I’ve always loved this man. Eschatologically he is precise, and accurate.
Then there is the 40 metre high Eger minaret >
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eger
Herewith a summary of the complex events>

The word “emissaries” should be replaced by “janissaries”.
…They were kidnapped to fill the ranks of the janissaries

i totally agree that Erdogan is a “nasty piece of work”. and stands in the way of a more civilised approach.
Wow! Just Wow!
They would consider you to be naive at best!

If the Muslims want to give Hagia Sophia to Russia, well and good.
Marcus
“before the return of Jesus Christ”
i am already here among you
the clock stopped “ticking”
brb, need to buy new batteries ;D

Perhaps the chargers, the horses, are an ‘Army of God’ in a unique battlefield in every man.
