Speech by Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in Baalbeck on May 1, 2018, in preparation for the May 6 legislative elections in Lebanon.

[…] Yes, the Resistance needs political protection, because there is an international conspiracy against it, which is currently growing, and a regional conspiracy against it. And we now find people willing to pay not 1 or 2 billion dollars – I am speaking of the heir to the Saudi throne (Mohammad b. Salman) – but hundreds of billions of dollars in their hostility to the Resistance Axis (Iran-Syria-Hezbollah-Yemen-Iraq) to encourage the US to launch a war in the region, to encourage Israel to launch a war in the region, and it is the same inside (Lebanon). Yes, the Resistance and the weapons of the Resistance need political protection. And this protection, it is your voices (in the parliamentary elections of May 6) who will provide it. It’s your voices that will give them protection.
(We need) it more than ever, my brothers and sisters. In Syria, proxies were defeated and failed, and the instruments collapsed. We are facing a new stage. The war can end with the (defeat of the) proxies, but it can also become (a direct war) with the sponsors (who created and armed ISIS, Al-Nosra…). Today, it is unclear how Israel will behave in Syria, where it will lead Syria, Lebanon and the region. And it is the same for the United States. The United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia will not stand still at the failure of their project in Syria or at the failure of their project in Iraq, or at the failure of their project in Lebanon. That is why we are still today in the heart of the battle.Lebanon, its people, its sovereignty, its oil, gas, safety, honor, dignity, freedom are still at the heart of the battle. And we still need the tripartite golden equation: Army – People – Resistance. And to protect it, your voices are needed.

The second list in Baalbek-Hermel is one of those who say every day that your weapons are illegal, who say every day they want to remove the weapons of the Resistance, and who say every day they belong to the opposite Axis (Washington-Riyadh). It is true that we advocate living together, cooperation and overcoming conflicts but such is the political identity of certain opposing lists. […]
It looks like the Hizbullah- Amal alliance won the Lebanese elections. This is only going to infuriate the criminal Zionist regime farther. It seems like there is never a time to just chill, and celebrate some good news in the middle east.
“It looks like the Hizbullah- Amal alliance won the Lebanese elections”
Yes ! Time for Hariri to board a green bus heading to Riyadh.
Ahmed. I guess many of us who live in the ME are celebrating the good news: The Party of God (a Christian / Muslim alliance) has won the election, and that racist brat, Little Izzie, is furious. I for one am celebrating — and I live in Israel. This alliance will give Lebanon the stability it so badly needs; and it will give the Lebanese Christians protection against Wahabeast terrorists on their Southern border — headchopping terrorists armed by Israel and paid by Saudi Arabia, Israel’s only ally in the Middle East. Hisb’Allah will protect all of Lebanon’s people; which UN failed to do.
Greetings to you my friend. I always wanted to visit the holy land, but i will have to be patient. I won’t go there as long as the racist Zionist entity still occupies it. Yes the wahhabi’s, what’s left to say about this malignant, deviant sect, that was created to be a knife in the back of the Muslims, Christians, and the people of the region as a whole. They are just a reprecussion of the time’s, and time will also push them into the pages of history. Eventually, all they will be is a painfull memory that exists in the heads of the people. They have influence not because of any God given intelectual reasons, but because of the flush petrol funds of the criminal Wahhabi Saudi regime, and the protection of the warmongering twin nations US/UK. They are a mirror image of their non-semetic zionist cousins in occupied Palestine. Bloodlines are not important, but I like mentioning this, only because they take so much pride in their supposed ancestry. I hope the “Party of God” will continue to resisit the multi headed, zionist, colonialist, and imperalist beasts, inshAllah. Since 2006 they have been the pride of the middle east, extending beyond countries, and confession. They upheld the true intent of religion. Which is to combat the opressors, with whatever means you have. Even if you have no capabilities, the least you can do is speak out against them. All i can hope for them is that they continue to be steadfast, and put their trust in God. However knowing the nature of the criminal zionist regime, war is always around the corner. Stay safe and peace my friend.
Here is an article that looks at how much and what type of military support the United States has supplied to Israel over the past decades:
https://viableopposition.blogspot.ca/2018/04/aid-to-israel-washington-pastime.html
Thanks to the United States, any war that Israel enters will be paid for by U.S. taxpayers.
@Nicole. And fought by US citizens. Four thousand Yankee boys died to destroy Israel’s neighbour Iraq. I don’t know how many US special ops are tied down in the present operation against Israel’s other neighbour Syria, but it is clear some of them have died or been captured. And there is a US camp in Israel now, tooling up to attack yet another of Israel’s countless “existential threats”: Iran. If the Israeli-US dual citizens in Congress can pull that one off, Israel’s war against Iran will take even more US lives than Israel’s war against Iraq did.
Way more than 4000 U.S. killed in Iraq. Plus private contractors. The is an epidemic of Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans with psychological problems, alcoholism and drug abuse. The sheer numbers are staggering, but they are hundreds of thousands effected. The U.S. Army was bogged down in an intense all out insurgency, with 14 of the 16 total battalions of the U.S. Army literally chasing ghosts around Iraq. Isolated and garrisoned in their bases lest they get pulverized by IED’s and perhaps a snipers bullet. Snipers played havoc, with one guy who operated out of the Sunni triangle , the Anbar province, nicknamed Juba The Sniper (Juba means African Death Dance), who filmed his shots and posted them on YouTube, Hundreds of videos, with hundreds of kills , before suddenly they were taken down from YouTube like they never existed.
And lets not forget IED’S who Iraqi’s were masters with, shredding volumes of convoys and tanks, Bradley’s, M1A Abrams Tanks and multitudes of support vehicles. Iraq was rout, and the U.S. was only able to extract itself from the near fatal situation was to buy off the insurgency to stop fighting it so they could save face and leave. That was the so-called ‘surge’, yes, a surge of money. Billions.
And those IED’s have left many, may thousands of amputees and burn victims.
The 4000 + is only what the Pentagon admits were official US military personel and who were killed in combat. They of course play games with this to keep the numbers down as much as possible.
For instance, I remember a case early in insurgency when people were paying attention. A US Army sergeant was driving a jeep when he came upon some insurgents who started shooting in his direction. He took evasive action in the jeep, and ended up wrecking it. He died either in the wreck or because of injuries suffered in the incident. The US Army did not list him as a combat casualty, but instead classified his death as a “traffic accident”. Thus, he is not part of that 4000+ number. As I said, they play all sort of games to keep that number down as much as possible. Thus, the ‘official’ number of over 4000 US military killed in the Iraq Wars is a minimum number and is the minimum that the Pentagon has to admit were killed in combat.
And then, when the Iraqis were ejecting the army of occupation, and the US congres was looking at possibly cutting the ‘defense’ budget to actually spend some money at home, suddenly ISIS appeared and the US then pressured the Iraqis into letting the US troops back into the country and nary a word is spoken now about cutting the massive defense budet. US generals are now again talking about staying in Iraq forever.
Israel will attack Lebanon with everything it has, including nuclear weapons. Look at this webpage at the AIPAC site:
https://www.aipac.org/learn/resources/maps/hezbollah-rocket-arsenal
It is immaterial whose side you’re on. If Israel believes than Hezbollah rockets are 75 seconds from Tel Aviv, which they certainly state they do, that constitutes an existential threat. Of course, historically, it is the other way around. Israel has done its best to threaten the existence of Lebanon. During the 2006 war:
“Israel attacked both Hezbollah military targets and Lebanese civilian infrastructure, including Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport… According to Human Rights Watch, in the last 72 hours of the war, the Israeli army flooded the region with cluster bombs.[174] Human Rights Watch “found that the IDF’s use of cluster munitions was both indiscriminate and disproportionate, in violation of IHL, and in some locations possibly a war crime” because “the vast majority [were dropped] over the final three days when Israel knew a settlement was imminent.”[174] After the ceasefire, parts of southern Lebanon remained uninhabitable due to Israeli unexploded cluster bomblets.[180]. Also phosphorus shells were used by the IDF to attack civilian areas in Lebanon.[181] The shells were originally designed to generate a smoke screen in a battlefield situation, but white phosphor is also especially harmful to humans because its burning will continue inside the flesh. The shelling was investigated as a violation of international law.[182].”
But what will determine the future is the thinking of the war clique in Israel and its allies in the United States.
Which brings us back to what munitions Israel will use to counter Lebanon’s missile threat. They must use nuclear weapons, and the United States will condone this.
Things are going to get incalculably worse in a short period of time.
Wrong, my friend. You must understand the nature of the beast (nuclear weapons) and its properties: emissions fallout. The countries surrounding Israel are to small, including Israel itself. Therefore the use of nuclear weapons would be deadly also for Israel.
check out “mini nukes” and “tactical nukes”… the modern nuclear bombs are not like the old ones. they will not be deadly for israhell only the poor bastards caught in the blast and/or breath in the dust right after the xplosion. it is even rumored that the zionist satanists have used them several times in Syria and once in New York…
FANTASTIC speech, as always! Thank you, Hassan Nasrallah, for the wisdom, for the courage! Thank you, Hezbollah!
‘But what will determine the future is the thinking of the war clique in Israel and its allies in the United States.’
This is what I sometimes think, too, since they act not according to reason but according to belief in their superiority. How to change this?
Mr Putin said clearly in his 1st March speech: ‘Listen to us, now!’ This warn the most powerful force I can imagine from the world Resistance against the zionist wars. It seems that Russia was heard – I really doubt that there will be serious threats to Russia in future. But, what about the rest of us, everywhere else? Can we have any hope?
They act to keep the maximum amount of money flowing from the American taxpayer into their pockets. Then the services fight amongst themselves to grab as much of that money as possible. If the world ever threatens to become peaceful, they must defeat that in order to keep the money flowing in their direction.
In an extreme capitalist society like America, its always about the money.
This is great from rense.com : Trump Has Let the ENTIRE “Carevan” of Illegal Into America – Trump Lied To Us Again. Horrendous from America were admitted to America. They are absolutely right to be in America. They are Americans, more than Gringos as they call the English Colonists on their Continent.
Please read it or reprinted on your blog for all the suckers to see. Maybe some of them have some beans to understand that the practical joke has been played on the for very long time. It has data too on illegal immigration, 233% increase during Tramps tenure. Beside there is funny cartoon humor depicting Jerry Brown as a bridge for illegals to cross safely to Gringolandia. Holly Molly. You are doooommmed.
America is the name given by the occupiers to the lands from where the natives were almost totally eliminated in the last 500 years of occupation – the biggest genocide of all times, when over 80 million natives died (murder or disease) in less than a century. First, the Portuguese and Spanish arrived – and killed millions -, then the French, Germans, English… The real natives of America, today, live mostly in the Andes regions – BOLIVIA, Venezuela, Peru, Chile… – and in the Amazon region. There are some in Paraguay and Patagonia (where the zionists are quietly settling…).
“Beside there is funny cartoon humor depicting Jerry Brown as a bridge for illegals to cross safely to Gringolandia. ”
I looked at the cartoon. .To me it looks offensive.
Why call immigrant “gimmegrants” when the USA has made life intolerable for hundreds of thousands in their own countries? When, actually, the territory of the whole southwest USA is traditionally part of what is now Mexico? The culture is a mix of mainstream American (ugh) and Latino/Mexicano.
I am not a particularly strong advocate of the whole idea of nonstop immigration, but somewhere along the line the target countries must grasp that the migrant wave is self-inflicted and/or inflicted by USA military aggression and that of its “allies” and proxies. It is as absurd as when in the USA one talked of “the Negro problem.” This “problem” was created by the descendants of enslaved Africans brought here forcibly? I don’t think so.
Katherine
Katherine
Very well said, Katherine. I was born in Los Angeles but my parents moved us to Mexico in the mid 80’s. We would have NEVER returned to the States but, boy, they’ve armed us to the teeth and turned us into drug lords. The Mexico I knew is gone!
When a friend began bashing Islam I stared at him and said, “Everything you’ve described is lived in Mexico right now: beheadings, terrorism, kidnapping…and we’re not Muslim!”
Crickets.
Well said Katherine. I am also the descendent of immigrants, like almost everyone else in America. But, unlike most Americans, I haven’t forgotten the fact.
Thanks for reminding me that rense.com is silly and unreliable.
I know the nasty right in America hates concepts like International law, but it still exists. International law says that if people come to your borders claiming asylum, in this case from horrific US-backed military regimes in central America, then you must at least accept the application and rule on it.
These are not illegal immigrants like the nasty right wants to claim. They are asylum seekers fleeing murderous situations like Honduras where Hillary and Obama overthrew the government and put the military in charge and they’ve been killing people and torturing people and rigging elections ever since. They’ve traveled together in a carvan for safety since everyone from thieves to human trafficers to corrupt police in Mexico like to prey on such people.
I saw a stat that said that about 80% of asylum seekers from Honduras, Guatamala, and El Salvador have their applications denied. That means that even the nasty border patrol on their mission from god to hate these people have to admit that about 1 in 5 asylum applicants really have a case for claiming asylum. That means, that in this caravan of 400 people, about 80 of them on average have valid cases for claiming asylum. And the US has to consider these applications. Which means that, Oh-My-Racist-Pure-White-God, they have to let them into the country at least temporarily to do so.
Sorry about that. Apparently you’d want to be like the Israelis and just put snipers and machine guns at the border to shoot anyone who comes within range. But thankfully, America is not quite that nasty and hateful just yet.
A paid scribe wrote on Atimes.com: How to counter China’s fortified islands in S.C.sea.
I would say, the same as U.S. fortified island are countered in Pacific Ocean.
That would make ” Even Stephen”.
I always thought that everytime the US does one of their “freedom of navigation” missions where they sail right up to the Chinese islands and do military drills, that the Chinese should promptly send ships to Guam and Hawaii and do exactly the same.
Well, nothing in the article/speech about an attack on Syria.
The Syria War v. 2.0 is underway. Nothing to debate.
The US and its “allies” are pouring men, proxies and equipment into the war.
The clear intention is to break Syria into halves, to destabilize the Syrian government, to prevent a diplomatic and political resolution and reconciliation.
So, understanding that the US is not leaving, not ending its efforts, is expanding and intensifying its military impact (USS Harry Truman is flying sorties now into East Syria), and the US is running cover for Israel’s attacks on Syria.
It’s on. There’s real war with real strategy. US intends to dominate Syria and Syrian affairs.
L445
Syria is crucial to greater israel. More important to the zionazis than Iran. This is why israel’s colonials keep pushing the war there.
Exactly. The plan is to destroy Syria, keep Golan, destroy Hezbollah by cutting its supply lines.
US is all in on this.
A side benefit for US is Russia loses big if this plan succeeds.
They are left in untenable position in Syria, in East Mediterranean and in the SuperPower game for the entire MENA region.
The problem is Russia has sent the wrong message to the Empire, the US and its puppets moved into Northern Syria, set up bases which are expanding as we speak, the Turks moved into Northern Syria with for some reason what looks like a green light from Russia,we have those Zionist thugs bombing Syria when ever they feel like it with no Russian air defences engaging those gangsters, the Syrians were left to fight back as best they could, you can’t fight a Bully by shrinking into a corner hoping the Bully doesn’t see you,if the SAA launch an attack againt the SDF east of the Euphretes Russia MUST give them support including air cover,we still don’t know if those S-300s have arrived for the Syrians at this time.
BS, my friend. Russia, as it was said by few people already, does not have a choice but sit on the fence at least until the FIFA games are over. But She is watching and will react, although not as some eager “war mongering strategists” would want her to. To bad for all thous wanting to see the blood flowing. Putin knows: small careful steps will do it. For our benefit as well as Russia’s might I say.
I don’t want to see blood flowing and its not BS,so the World cup decides when you can defend an ally in battle?this situation has been going on for a couple of years, the Reich’s plan A didn’t work using their head hacking proxy army, what we are looking at now is their plan B,direct intervention, itsbno good waiting for a Bondsteel to turn up in Northern Syria.
Sadly, but yes it does. The same with the Soichi games. Both times Russia spend billions on getting ready for them. And would not do “anything” to spoil them.Which is why the US coup in Ukraine was hurried up to conclude during the games. The same is true today.Russia wants the World to see the real Russia. Not the demonized version the Western media puts out.And has spent untold amounts of money getting ready for that.So her enemies are free to do “almost” anything until the World Cup.As long as the World Cup is a “hostage” Russia isn’t going to risk spoiling it.The Soichi games cost around $55 billion, what with infrastructure buildings, new highways, etc, etc. And the World Cup,will probably top that. That isn’t an investment Russia wants to lose. The problem with that is obvious. The US saw how easy it was to destroy Ukraine, with Soichi as the hostage. They see the World Cup as an even better hostage.
@Englishman,
As I said above:
‘Mr Putin said clearly in his 1st March speech: ‘Listen to us, now!’ This warn the most powerful force I can imagine from the world Resistance against the zionist wars. It seems that Russia was heard – I really doubt that there will be serious threats to Russia in future. But, what about the rest of us, everywhere else? Can we have any hope?’
I think you are wrong, there is a ongoing threat to Russia, expect a Ukrainian Blitzkrieg against Donbass,it will fail but it won’t stop them launching one at the behest of the Empire.
Perhaps because it was a Get Out the Vote speech just prior to the elections in Lebanon that Israel, USA and KSA was trying to rig by buying votes. In such a speech its wise for a speaker to remain on topic and stick to the important point of that moment and not wander off into side topics like what’s going on next door.
The “regime ” that currently occupies Palestine physically, and the US politically, is destined to be defeated.
It dosent matter how large the sums of money appropiated from US tax payers to give to Israel, or how many massacres they are allowed to perpatrate against the defenceless Palestinians – in the end Israel, and all who support it and its crimes, will be utterly and comprehensively defeated.
So it has been written, so it will be done!
Selah
Thanks , everyone, for your insights. S400, I believe you are correct about the ultimate defeat of counterfeit Israel. Please read “Death of Israel” by Taxi —-Plato’s Guns May 1, 2018. An excerpt: “Brace yourselves tight. The righteous patriots of the Mideast are about to begin their mission to liberate their land and take control of their own destiny. A world without American imperialism, European colonialism, and Jewish zionism will enable the rest of humanity to live longer and in relative peace.” This means there Is Going To Be a major re-draw of the maps, and a massive re-order of the current economic situation. I don’t have any quick advice on how we can be truly ready for this. Here are a few other things to consider: Technology can be defeated by human ingenuity and also by what I can call acts of a divine power. *** Also, please read the essay “The US military is America’s worst enemy” by veteran Fred Reed. *** Now, the West has made its military a ‘god” in that it (largely) believes that the military (with all of its corruption and wastage) is undefeatable. Something inside me tells me that there is a Righteous Lord who can stand up and disabuse people of their foolish illusions of invincibility, and He can do it in ways that will be remembered for centuries. The powers of heaven and nature will be His allies in this Great Work.. Nations preparing to wage war may find themselves devastated, not by human power, but by earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, solar flares and other things. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, the old saying goes. Pride goes before destruction. Fools (present time) are rushing in where angels fear to tread. There is a thing called “Gideon’s Army”, where a small but determined group of fighters can defeat a much larger force. We must understand the demonic nature of war — understand that war is not only about soldiers and equipment and mountains of conjured up money and everlasting debt slavery but also about the age-long conflict between the Children of Light and the children of the lie. The evil agencies pushing for war in the Mid-East will certainly attempt to call down demonic “fire from heaven” (let the reader understand how they are intimately linked to ancient idolatry) and, there is no shortage of forces heading to that area who have the collective / “hive mind” of determined evil, and by the works of their hands they are dedicated to de-creation. Now for some good news: Millions of good people of faith are praying for their defeat, and that their defeat will be legendary. Order # 227, my prayer is that many people will Wake up to what you have written! People are so distracted .
@Chad. For we wrestle not [or not only?] against flesh and blood but against powers in the Heavens. St.Paul, Corinthians.
What we all should become aware of, and understand, is that what is being done today against the defenceless Palestinians in the full view of the entire world, is what ultimately await all of us.
We are all Palestinians.
The massacres, seiges, house demolitions, land seizures, assassinations, and numerous collective punishments and humiliations being meted to Palestinians old and young, male abd female, will not be forever confined to Palestine.
We are all Palestinians.
The same Apache helicopter gunships that are today used to track and target Palestinians in their cars and on the streets will not limit their field of operations to only Palestine, forever.
We are all Palestinians.
The odious regime that today have its snipers shoot Palestinian children in the face and paraplegics in the head, will not be contented to confine their crimes to to only Palestine forever.
We are all Palestinians.
In the face of the biggest and most inhumane seige in the annals of history, Palestinians today have to burrow underground to to neighboring Egypt to smuggle in food, medicines, books and toys for their children.
We are all Palestinians.
What is being played out today in Palestine rests on the conscience of the entire world.
We are all Palestinians.
The same muderous criminals that smother Palestine, now seek to extend their horrors and blood-letting to Syria and beyond.
They are seeking an extension of their mandate to kill and torment.
We are all Palestinians.
Those who do not yet grasp the stark reality of the geo-political inplications of our times will have only themselves to blame.
Remember, we are all Palestinians.
Order No. 227
“What we all should become aware of, and understand, is that what is being done today against the defenceless Palestinians in the full view of the entire world, is what ultimately await all of us.”
Unfortunately, I do believe that you are correct.
No, we are not Palestinians, we are goyim. And so are the palestinians.
People are not defined by labels promoted by others — especially those self-severing identity programs such as alleged Jews choose to ascribe to others outside their small elitist sect. Any more than anyone who is not Han Chinese is a ‘barbarian’, or a non-Hindu an ‘untouchable’ etc. Suggest more care in use of words so that it is clear you are describing a subjective name-category and not an absolute reality. The map is not the territory (and words to that effect).
so at the end he is speaking of the people in Lebanon who are against the Iran – Syria – Russia – Hezbollah – Iraq – Yemen – axis ?
I guess the shocking part of this was the dollar amounts – the way he put it – was shocking.
For me it is obvious where the escalation of hostilities MUST logically lead.
It is to divide, cause internal military struggle inside the US proper.
Cause it in such a scale, that it will eat up it’s external capabilities.
Yes, the potential is already built in nicely and conveniently.
The left would drown the right in a puddle of water, if it could. The feeling is mutual.
Similar are the relations between the numerous races, mainly white, black and mestizo.
The melting pot became a pig’s slop.
The number of muslims has not yet reached the critical mass, so for now, the religious divide is between christians and secularists, and can be reduced to the left vs right element of the equasion.
Use this leverage, and the dam will break.
Historical Victory For Hezbollah in Lebanese Parliament Elections.
“Votes counted, Hizballah’s alliance controls the Lebanese Parliament for the first time, it has majority with with the alliance with AMAL party. This is HUGE victory for the Resistance, and a seriously major blow to KSA, US, France, UK and Israel.
This is a clear recognition by the Lebanese people to all the effort by Hizballah to bring peace to Lebanon, to bring pride back to Lebanon, and to stop terrorists to terrorise Lebanon. Hizballah brought Lebanon to the high it always deserved, hopefully Lebanon starts buying some well needed air defenses and fighter jets to defend its offshore oil & gas fields from Israel. Time for Lebanon to look for Russia for weapon support and guidance.” (Canthama)
Any comments on what Israel’s criminal-in-chief, Netanyahu, attending Victory Day parade in Moscow at Putin’s guest implies in today’s emerging geopolitical matrix?
I guess he didn’t get an appointment with Mr Putin, so he will try to wave for him during the Parade…
MC…
LOL
I read your words and an image of what you said appeared in my mind.
You gave me the first good hearty laugh of the day. For that I thank you.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer
Precisely.
Russia has enemies, Russia has existential threats, Russia has competitors, Russia has a range of challengers–all of whom Russia talks to or attempts to.
We see this in Syria. They bomb and strike the terrorists, then offer talks, offer local truce, ceasefire reconciliation, humanitarian assistance and strict policing guarantees of safe passage.
One hour it’s total annihilation and the next hour it’s Good Samaritan.
Russians, particularly the most historic military-heroic of all major nations, is not afraid of “enemies”.
They get up close and talk.
Israel under the regime of Bibi and his extremists is an enemy of Russia. Large sectors of Israel are not enemies. In fact, Russia has huge base of support that is latent inside Israel. Over a million ex-pats live there and many are not disconnected from Russia.
Thus, for anti-terror, anti-transnational crime, and for economic reasons Russia keeps very open communications with Israel.
This trip to Moscow is Bibi’s 8th in two years. He goes to Putin. That is symbolic recognition of who is the decider. Even Bibi’s last wailing at the Kremlin walls, totally a tantrum that Putin heard and dismissed completely, was evidence of Russia’s power and infinite patience.
Now, Putin offers an historic message: it is sent to Iran, the United States and Bibi, himself.
Putin and Russia are in the ME to stay. Everyone is expected to talk, not fight wars. Everyone can do business, not create chaos. The path is through Moscow, not D.C.
This is Putin and Russia being Russian. It shows great wisdom and strength.
It is very hard to understand for most of us.
But, I sense this is just normal Russian behavior. It is a very high state of civilizational interaction with others, friends/enemies. Examined closely, it is very human, very Christian, and very smart “soldiering”.
Larchmonter 445
I agree with all your submission but I have a slight variance of opinion when you included Iran amongst nations Russia is sending a message of her newly found power in the middle east to. Iran is a minority in the middle east as compared to Arabs but look around you in South East Asia and tell me which country is independent and which country will accept dictate from extra regional power? Tell me which country in the middle east that can get things done on the ground? Make no mistake, even when the East and West supported Saddam military and politically against Iran, Tehran never raised the white flag.
Not just Russia, the day any foreign power conclude it can dictate what and what not Iran can do in the middle east is the day such power will start losing her influence in that volatile region. The cloud of war is gathering in the middle east and those in charge in Moscow knows what is coming and would try as much as possible not to be caught in the middle of it. That is why Putin will not shoot down any Israeli jet violating Syria airspace or striking Iranian troops, Hezbollah and pro Iran militias based in Syria because it is neither Russia’s region nor Russia’s war especially in a region where it cannot project such power as to effectively counteract the Anglozionist influence without the support of powerful regional force on the ground which Iran represent.
Trying to flaunt her influence will imply Russia is no different from the Anglozionist marauders and will get her the same treatment melted out to such goons. I believe those in charge knows better and will not attempt such stunt.
He is so to the point, and just stating the facts.
Lol we can only hope. I don’t know how people like Saad Hariri live with themselves. To sale you’re fellow countrymen, for a few worldly benefits. It all blows away like chaff in the wind, and its never worth the humiliation.
Sorry this was supposed to be a response to SMR on my original post on this article.
Here is an interesting report on RT:
“Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri has said his Future Movement won 21 seats in a parliamentary election on Sunday, down from the 33 he won in the previous election. Despite the losses in the first parliamentary election since 2009, the result positions Hariri as the frontrunner to form the next government as the leader with the biggest bloc in parliament. Lebanon’s prime minister has to be a Sunni under its sectarian power sharing system. The prime minister said on Monday the international community should look at the results of Lebanon’s election in a “very positive way.” Unofficial results showed Iran-backed Hezbollah and its political allies won just over half the seats in Lebanon’s election. Tehran said on Monday it respected the Lebanese people’s vote.”
There are 128 seats in the Lebanese Parliament. So the casual observer might wonder how Hariri might become PM again with his party only winning 21 seats. While Hezbollah and Amal united won over half the seats in Parliament. The reason is that in Lebanon by law,the President must be a Christian, the PM a Sunni Muslim, and the Parliament speaker a Shia Muslim. So it appears Hairiri’s party has the biggest vote of the Sunni parties. That is a real shame. But at least with over half the seats. Hariri can’t pass laws that are anti-Hezbollah.
From western Canada, I wish the brave resistance in Lebanon good fortune in what they are doing. Once the battle is won, be sure to do a thorough and PERMANENT cleanup of the area.
