In 2006, Hezbollah proved itself a triumphant defense force, defeating the invader Israeli and humiliating the IDF.
In 2017, Hezbollah has proved itself for years of fighting in Syria and Lebanon that it is a highly skilled infantry and special forces military. It, along with Syrian allies, has defeated ISIS and many AQ units, and defeated some of al Nusra it faced.
It has paid a very heavy price in martyred troops along the way.
But it has established itself as world class fighting force.
It has also shown that it, like Syrians, is a protector of the other religious groups of the region, particularly both Christians and Sunnis (non-Wahhabi).
They have earned respect. Hopefully, they will be shorn of the label terrorist.
Throughout the Syrian war they have been exemplary in their military standards.
Shiites fighting to save the Cross as part of the social matrix of the Syrian Arab Republic.
Thank you for your insights. Through a good friend years ago, I have learned more about the Eastern Orthodox church. I strongly fear that there is a greater “grand canyon of separation” between the Church of the East and western Christianity (in particular, some of the Christian evangelicals, and teachers of the “prosperity gospel”) than there is between the Church of the East and some of the Islamic sects. A lot of folks in the States will have a very rough time wrapping their brains around “Shiites fighting to save the Cross” because they have been taught that Muslims are all terrorists (and we can, at the very least, ask who would ultimately be behind this). I also cannot help but suspect that people in the Middle East may interpret the teachings of Christ, and the Cross, and the Resurrection, and the insights of the Desert Fathers and early Saints, and ancient prophecies (eg. the book of Revelation) differently that the western Church does. These are the kind of things that change a person’s entire outlook, and they have influenced the complex centuries’ long relationship between the various religions to the point that people from different faiths revere the saints and shrines of others.
“A lot of folks in the States will have a very rough time wrapping their brains around “Shiites fighting to save the Cross” because they have been taught that Muslims are all terrorists (and we can, at the very least, ask who would ultimately be behind this).”
Who is behind this? Jewish zionists in general, Jewish israelis particularly.
As a result Israel’s promised a Gaza-style holocaust in Lebanon next time, where Israeli missiles will aim to flatten all major civilian towns and cities- the depraved racist zionists of that filthy nation are just waiting for the greenlight from America.
Fools always say “but they’ll never be allowed to get away with that”, having the memory of a goldfish and no recall of Gaza- an Israel holocaust 100% of the American Houses of Congress voted to support (yeah- including faux libertarians, the infamous Pauls). Israel is just awaiting the ‘time of chaos’- ie the coming war on Iran. As Iran desperately attacks its local enemies in its death throes, as American nukes wipe out its heart, Israel will take the opportunity to finish off those it calls ‘sub-Human’ in its vicinity, and build a ‘Greater Israel’.
Just before WW1, people said the war would never happen because the outcome would be just too terrible. Just before WW2, people said the war would never happen because the outcome would be just too terrible. Notice a pattern here? The non-fools stated, with 100% certainty, that WW1 and WW2 were going to happen because the masters of the major powers were doing everything to prepare to fight those wars- and that included re-shaping the economies of their nations and conditioning the people with propaganda.
Israel is never again going to fight a ‘fair’ war (‘fair’, in the definition of ‘the chosen’ means a ground war where the zionists have a thousand to one advantage- they are that cowardly- and now those odds mean ‘the chosen’ ***still*** lose so they won’t ‘fight’ that way any more).
” As Iran desperately attacks its local enemies in its death throes, as American nukes wipe out its heart, Israel will take the opportunity to finish off those it calls ‘sub-Human’ in its vicinity, and build a ‘Greater Israel’. ”
Reminds me of Italy’s declaration of war against France AFTER Germany had already defeated France. How did that turn out for Italy?
Hezbollah will definitely NOT get the proper recognition as defender of humanity against oppression.
Why?
Because, just the last time they fought and established themselves as a capable defense force, they were fighting Daesh, a program of the Mossad, thus against Israeli regional aspirations, again, and it is certain that Israel will continue to use public and private mechanisms, global news, governmental and non-governmental agencies, etc. to perpetuate the various defamatory rhetoric concerning Hezbollah.
For while Hezbollah has worked for the betterment of people in general, this is counter to the objectives of Zionism.
If anything, if past trend is any predictor, these mechanisms will have a marked uptick in negative defamation and attempts at restriction against Hezbollah.
Deash, Daesh, ISIL, ISIS, IS. Many words for the same thing.
I propose setlling on U.S.S.S.C.I.S / USSSCIS.
Or still better, Ussscis, pronounced YOO-sis – it rolls off the tongue easily, and takes up just two syllables.
By the British spelling custom, when an acronym is pronounced as a word, then only its first letter is capitalized (thus Nato [NAY-toe], but RAF [ar-ay-eff]).
Ussscis expanded: United States-spawned so-called Islamic State.
All the words except “spawned” are non-controversial. Should “spawned” be not apt enough, the alternatives I see are: succored, supported, sustained, sheltered…
The only people who call Hezb terrorists are themselves terrorists: Uncle $cam and his favourite nephew, little Izzie. And these people only resorted to calling Hezb bad names because Hezb succesfully defended Lebanon against little bully Izzy, and successfully helped Syria to defend itself against little Izzie’s “badass” Uncle, big Shlomo.
Anyone constantly slandered by the capitalist warmongers is a hero and sits in my Pantheon of Greats. Being an enemy of imperial capitalism is a badge of honour proudly worn by those few who dare to stand up to it and Hezbollah has earned its deserved place in history as an indomitable fighter against Zionism and western aggression. Long live Hezbollah!
I was just watching the evening news on the Swedish National Broadcaster with the silly presstitutes moaning, groaning, and foaming about yet another successful missile launch by the DPRK. The hysterical noise of Western Imperialism is so Orwellian that it’s comical. I was giggling as I always tend to do these days when listening to the Ziomedia’s horseshit. Long live the DPRK — let the “international community” rage and fume.
Sometimes it’s hard to choose hegemon versus religious fanaticism.
If you’re an antheist as my self, self determinism to live a Muslim culture (or any religious culture be it quiet Amish or what have you) seems like a waste of energy. Why not produce a monolithic scientific culture where man and machine imbue?
However, at the end of the day, sovereignty is more important than some end-item determinism. That is to say, I don’t care more for a technocratic society of pawns than a self-determinant tribe of sha-men.
But really, what power to self determination does a Muslim or a Christian in Chechnya or Myanmar have or a citizen of,say New York? We will always be limited by class and arbitrary circumstance. But the monolithic structure of a diverse religious or ethnic city does have some special privilege of determinism.
There is something to be said of a monolithic structure, scientism as the empire would have it, that focuses all social energy on one path and more efficiently directs morality to some chosen goal. People may hate an entity that plays to employ a monolithic culture and direction, but at the end of the neither you or I has proof of anything that makes our case superior. It’s starting to be hard to argue you deserve to dance in the desert to a bush-god instead of an elite that create a focused, somewhat arbitrary in any case, culture with the goal of magnifying the reach of humanity. If you accept atheism, than the sacrifice of people in furtherance of that goal is no more immoral than eating a hamburger and praying to Moses on any given Sunday.
But the monolithic structure of a diverse religious or ethnic city does *not necessarily* have some special privilege of determinism.
All religious societies live under an umbrella of arbitrary moralism and they have no superiority over any other.
For example, an ethnic tribe in the amazon who practices cannibalism does not have a morally superior argument to Wahhabism nor liberal scientiesm. But liberal scientiesm in fact allows more personal choices, numerically at least, than a religious fiefdom.
In any point, moral relativism is real and consolidation under an elite we can control is more important than existing under religious freedom, in my opinion. Now how do we control the elite is another question.
Believe in Truth my friend. Perhaps you already do but have an acute temporary infection of the zionist mind virus — now rationalizing yourself into forgetting.
They’ve taken it from you, the Truth, and paraphrasing Doestoevsky, without a belief in God everything is permisable.
What they are doing is making a new Religion, because already they know there are only theocracies and the times in between.
For certain castes, administrators and technocrats, the religion will be Scientism.
For other castes, those who give Life and have children, there will be Universal (Catholic) Orthodoxy, which like the religions it replaces will produce fortunate slaves, while Islam, if these cultural planners have their way, will produce slaves of the lowest rung.
How much they, zionists, succeed, with their devious schemes, depends entirely on your remembering Truth.
plus ongoing stuff re Kurds, vote for independance, delays etc, affecting Syria possibly.
note
“The reported US supplies of Soviet-era munitions to Syrian rebels not only “openly violates” legal norms against financing terrorism, but also risks igniting a greater conflict across the Middle East, Scott Bennett, former US Army psychological operations officer and State Department counterterrorism contractor, told Sputnik.”[This] is not only a blatant lie, … but a violation of the president’s order, the Congress, and the Constitution of the United States, as well as the United Nations’ laws and policies against terrorist financing,” Bennet said.”
The Human populations threatened by the infinitely evil zionists of Israel have successfully improved their ground fighting capabilities and ground to ground missile systems. Sadly this is all for nought, since Israel won’t fight ‘yesterday’s war’ ever again. Look at how France spent an unearthly fortune building military methods to protect themselves against the Germans, and then were defeated in seconds in WW2, cos the nazis were fighting tomorrow’s war, not yesterday’s.
So Hezbollah has new skills that will never be useful in the ‘big one’. Israel has already made it clear next time they’ll simply flatten all civilian areas in Lebanon from the air in a zionist holocaust that the US government has already stated they’ll fully support. ‘The chosen’ are the planet’s most murderous ***cowards***. They ‘fight’ only when they know they are going to win- and yes these racist scumbags have made some misjudgements in the recent past.
The moment the wahhabi terror gangs of Israel and Saudi Arabia are declared to have been finally defeated in Syria, the West is going to turn its diplomatic guns all non-Syrian forces in Syria (except Russia). Though I’d agree in the short term, there won’t be much ‘water’ in that particular ‘stone’ for the Deep State.
Israel’s current plan is a ‘blood sacrifice’ of hundreds of thousands of innocent Humans in Lebanon to coincide with the beginning of America’s war on Iran. At the same time Israel will wipe out almost all Human life in Gaza. Israel is not going to ever again fight any kind of ‘fair’ ground war. When the first US nukes hit Iran, Israel will hit Lebanon with a number of ‘small’ nuclear warheads.
Now Hezbollah can congratulate itself for having helped convince the zionist monsters that ‘cheap’ military action against Lebanon is now out of the question. But sadly this fact enabled the zionist monster to perfectly evolve- the evolution having been directly overseen by Tony Blair during his reign as ‘Middle East envoy’. Blair personally saw to it that the EU and USA gave full permission (and funding and weapons) to Israel to ready for ‘tomorrow’s war’.
The most interesting question is what happens if the Iran war is delayed enough for the cowards of Israel to run out of patience. Israel wants and needs its ‘blood sacrifice’. Its laughably primitive superstitions are based on such, as is the case with all the long standing cults on our planet. But in this situation it is most likely Israel will satisfy itself with yet another holocaust in Gaza. Gaza is literally Israel’s corral of ‘sacrifice’ ‘animals’. When the zionists can hold off from shedding innocent blood no longer, they simply slaughter the people of Gaza.
PS having seen what the Deep State wars have meant in Libya, Iraq, Syria etc, will Russia act to prevent future Deep State wars? Oh, that’s right- Putin has rushed to vote in support for Deep State UNSC resolutions condemning N Korea for daring to build effective means of self-defense. While Putin issues mealy-mouthed platitudes about how war is a ‘bad thing’, he never puts his money where his mouth is, and exterts Russian military clout to prevent new wars.
Israel is a brute of the purest evil because it is emboldened by all the major powers, including Russia. Saudi Arabia pushes wahhabi terror across the planet because it is emboldened by all the world’s major powers, including Russia. If Russia hadn’t emboldened Saudi Arabia and Israel, there wouldn’t have been an atrocious war in Syria for Russia to step into and clean-up.
What Hezbollah has prevented and prevents is the shortest of short-term situations. A glimpse of the future can be seen in the Yemen war, where RAF pilots (flying under the Saudi flag) destroyed the vast majority of Yemen’s defensive capabilities, including its ground-to-ground missile systems, in the first weeks of the conflict. Lebanon’s ‘good’ major weapons, like their main missiles, will be eliminated in the first few days. Helbollah won’t get to use its stockpiles of wire-guided anti-armour rockets against Israel ground forces because once Lebanon has lost its capabilities of hitting Israel by major missile, Israel will bomb every village, town and city in Lebanon into ruins.
twilight should consider choosing a more apt signature: Imperialism is invincible or Resistance is futile.
The world’s downtrodden and oppressed peoples have a fighting spirit, and they know how to make use of it. Doom-and-gloom Western hasbara is for lesser beings.
@ Nussiminen
I agree that an air of persistent pessimism may lead weak hearts to despondency and give up the good fight. On the other hand we need a sobering reminder that the capitalist cum-Zionist Ogre has the ways, the means, the cruelty and ferocity to pursue its long-term humanity-hating programme of domination as The Chosen Ones ordained by their mercilessly biblical Lord of Darkness. And they have the full support of all power elites in most significant world powers whether East and West or North and South. In typical Jewish fashion, they occupy both camps to be assured of victory as in Menshevik-Bolshevik, Democrat-Republican, Us-Ussr, Us-Russia. They even had a substantial representation in the Third Reich just in case the Soviets did not make it to Berlin.
The realization of the Ogre’s capacity for evil does not mean one should surrender; on the contrary, it’s also a call to arms to the human spirit of resistance and defiance against the pestilence of the Capitalist-Zionist empire. If the situation is hopeless, one more reason to fight desperately.
Twilight, seem to believe mass bombardment would be some sort of new “warfare of tomorrow” that the Israelis have never tried before. But in fact that is what they do every single time. Their strategy is mass bombardment with the intent to cause a mass of refugees to flee northward.
Hizbullah is extremely familiar with that strategy and is very well prepared for it. Their rocket arsenal is designed to bring the war right back to the Israelis and they have better means to do that than ever before.
When the rockets continue flying despite all their efforts to stop it by airpower, then they will have to choose between cutting their losses or gambling on a ground invasion.
Either way, the Israelis will fail completely to achieve their strategic objectives, (eliminate Hizbullah, divide Syria, drive Iran out if the levant) which is the best definition of losing a war there is.
By the way, this year’s nomination is about to be announced. Angela Merkel and Donald Trump seem quite possible and, of course, the White Helmets (in effect George Soros). Edward Snowden is out of the question. The Nobel Peace Prize Award is absolutely braindead Western self-promotion, courtesy of a coterie from a frigging NATO country.
“The Pentagon is providing Syrian rebels with Soviet-era weapons because “they are essentially untraceable, have an endless shelf life, and are also a financial currency that can be used to continue all conflicts,” Bennett pointed out.
Moreover, according to him, this fact is no surprise since it has been a “standard tactic of US diplomatic war strategy for decades and used against numerous countries over the past 70 years” in different parts of the world.
Despite the fact that the Pentagon has denied the claims, Bennett argued that the report “should be used as an exhibit in a UN International Criminal Court indictment against the US for both war crimes and crimes against humanity.”
The report also claimed that in the munition deliveries, the Pentagon has been using “misleading documentation” to bypass the norms of the UN Arms Trade Treaty that aims to prevent diversions of arms to terrorists or war criminals.
“The US documents and end-user certificates justifying the acquisition and distribution of these weapons indicate the US is deceiving the countries it is purchasing weapons from, the countries it is trafficking them through and claiming the purpose is for ‘US defense’ and stability operations,” Bennet pointed out.
He added that the US is using legally twisted language that is defining those fighting the legitimate Syrian government as “allies and partners in support of US training, security assistance and stability operations.”
This is standard operating procedure for the usa. See this lecture by John Stockwell describing past cia covert ops:
The secret wars of the CIA – John Stockwell.pdf – Libcom.org
“I think we’re not going to be satisfied until we see a solid and stable Syria, and that is not with Assad in place,” Haley told reporters at a White House press briefing.”
Obviously the israeloamerican goal all along has been to take over Syria for zionazi interests and trump’s previous noise about dropping the “Assad must go” plan was as disingenuous as his “wanting better relations with Russia” noise.
The masks are coming off and damn, the faces underneath are about as ugly as it gets.
you should by now be able to discern US bullsh!t talk and reality.
There was a pic (someone please provide the link), with all the people
who said “Assad must go”. They are all gone now, Assad is still here and smiling.
Maybe Haley’s comment is a sign of things to come (fingers crossed).
I’ve seen that graphic, and several updates of it over the years. :D
“Maybe Haley’s comment is a sign of things to come (fingers crossed).”
Mine too. Though I’d rather see her at the UN instead of some smooth operator, in its place, pushing the same govno, but who doesn’t come across as the worst sort of corrupt shabbas goy like haley does.
Are the Saudi bandits paying $$$’s for words published or something?
Every e’ffing western so called ‘leadr’ has been and gone and Putin and Assad stay on course.
As the Russians (& Assad) have siad many times — the Syrian people will decide.
What is the US ‘strategy’ here?
Are they just psycho-dementors and devoid of policy?
Is there some psychology-101 strategum at work?
All I can think of is there is a well ($USD) funded medieval regime in the region that does not want Ba’athism in the neighborhood. And “Assad Must Go” is the only cracked record in their geopolitical dute box.
“What is the US ‘strategy’ here?
Are they just psycho-dementors and devoid of policy? Is there some psychology-101 strategum at work?”
Could be, but that’s not the ultimate reason we keep hearing these vocal ‘tics’ of arrogant bluster. They keep yelling and swearing about Assad, about “annexed” Crimea, about the DPRK, and what-have-you because imperialism has a serious problem with these issues and wants the 99% to keep that in mind. The despicable presstitutes and politicos are, quite often, moral degenerates all along the line. Bribed by perks and sops, they are very happy to carry out their most holy of duties: spewing imperialist propaganda. Take away these bribes, and we’ll see how much they’ll stick to their pet memes from On High.

#DeirEzzor AB to be the 2nd #RussianAirForce base in #Syria
The AB will be extended and re-constructed soon.
Battle for Deir Ezzor (still not over) had a very diverse group of forces and allies. Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and their various paramilitaries. I suspect Russia won’t be the only one having a base in Syria’s far east and that is a good thing because the “SDF” are feeling a little too entitled thanks to the B-52’s in the sky guarding them.
“Earlier today reports emerged from the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) linked media that Syrian jets targeted units belonging to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Deir Ezzor countryside.
According to a reporter for ANHA, Syrian warplanes struck the SDF’s positions in the Deir ez-Zor industrial area, injuring six fighters.
This however has been denied by a Syrian military source speaking exclusively to Muraselon.
“The Syrian Air Force is absolutely not responsible for the airstrike that hit the Kurdish forces located in the eastern bank of the Euphrates River,” the military source told Muraselon.
“As part of our mutual and continuous cooperation, we – the Syrian military – are informed in advance with and sorties conducted by the Russian Air Force. Hereby, I can confirm that our friend the Russians haven’t conducted any airstrike against the Kurds in east Deir Ezzor,” the source added.” http://www.fort-russ.com/2017/09/syrian-military-denies-targeting.html
does this mean these are false claims by SDF to justify attacking SAA, or have some actual planes -the usual usa coalition suspects or even Turkey?- done the attacking to create a false flag?Or are SDF “same as ” ISIS which is being heavily targeted in Der Ez Zor? http://www.fort-russ.com/2017/09/syrian-forces-kill-scores-of-isis.html

There is Saker Island close to Deir Ez Zur. See the map ( in the middle ) -> https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DJsbH1IW4AIYOZp.jpg

Nussiminen: It needed to be said . THANK YOU !.
Congratulations to Hezbollah — its achievements are extraordinary and serve to boost morale among anti-imperialists all over the world.
On the “downside”, Hezbollah and/or its prominent spokespeople will never be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Same for Putin, Assad, and Kim Jong-Un.
Who would want a Nobel Peace Prize now that it is regularly awarded to mass murderers?
I used quotation marks: “downside”, mind you.
‘War Crime’: Ex-US Army Officer Slams Pentagon’s Alleged Arms Supplies to Syria
https://sputniknews.com/analysis/201709151057418699-us-arms-supplies-syria-rebels/

US Won’t Be Satisfied Until Seeing Stable Syria Without Assad – Envoy
https://sputniknews.com/us/201709151057437267-haley-assad-must-go-syria/
“I think we’re not going to be satisfied until we see a solid and stable Syria, and that is not with Assad in place,” Haley told reporters at a White House press briefing.”
Obviously the israeloamerican goal all along has been to take over Syria for zionazi interests and trump’s previous noise about dropping the “Assad must go” plan was as disingenuous as his “wanting better relations with Russia” noise.
The masks are coming off and damn, the faces underneath are about as ugly as it gets.
vot tak,
you should by now be able to discern US bullsh!t talk and reality.
There was a pic (someone please provide the link), with all the people
who said “Assad must go”. They are all gone now, Assad is still here and smiling.
Maybe Haley’s comment is a sign of things to come (fingers crossed).
RATM
I’ve seen that graphic, and several updates of it over the years. :D
“Maybe Haley’s comment is a sign of things to come (fingers crossed).”
Mine too. Though I’d rather see her at the UN instead of some smooth operator, in its place, pushing the same govno, but who doesn’t come across as the worst sort of corrupt shabbas goy like haley does.
Here we go again ”Assad must go”

FFS … what’s with this broken record?
“Haley must go!!!”
Take away these bribes, and we’ll see how much they’ll stick to their pet memes from On High.
vocal ‘tics’ — yep, that about nails it.
Yes, this seems like the best place to put this! The tweet is from the reknowned Canthama of syrianperspective fame.

I suspect Russia won’t be the only one having a base in Syria’s far east and that is a good thing because the “SDF” are feeling a little too entitled thanks to the B-52’s in the sky guarding them.
the larger they are, the loudest noise they make when they go down…
getting stranger and stranger
Hereby, I can confirm that our friend the Russians haven’t conducted any airstrike against the Kurds in east Deir Ezzor,” the source added.”

does this mean these are false claims by SDF to justify attacking SAA, or have some actual planes -the usual usa coalition suspects or even Turkey?- done the attacking to create a false flag?Or are SDF “same as ” ISIS which is being heavily targeted in Der Ez Zor?
