Dear friends,
I have been putting this off for as much as I could, but the truth is that I need to make a fundraiser again. Sorry!
This is the price we all have to pay for not having ads, subscription only content, pop-ups, etc. This blog is 100% financed by 100% volunteer donations. As for its contents, they are all licensed under the Creative Commons CC-BY-SA 4.0 International license (creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0) which means that anybody can take anything from this blog and repost (and even modify it!) without paying a penny and without having to ask for permission (I even allow for commercial reuse!). I am personally very happy with this *not* money centered approach, but the drawback is obvious: I have to regularly remind you all that I need your support.
May I also remind you that with a few special exceptions, the Saker blog only post original contributions, that is to say that most of what we post are analyses written especially for the Saker blog. A news aggregation website is much, much easier to run as they basically use the work of other people to support themselves. In other words, our articles and analyses are not only original but they requires MUCH more actual work to produce.
Next, depending on events, the Saker blog’s serves anywhere between 1.5 to 3 million pages per month and most articles posted here are seen by tens of thousands of people (say my latest on Dugina’s murder got 24178 views while Pepe’s article on the same topic got 22132 views). In other words, our traffic is steadily high and we have a vibrant community of commentators (in spite of our neverending struggle with trolls). And even that does not tell the full story as I care a lot less about how many people we can reach and much more about the type of people we reach. Here I can honestly say that I am fully satisfied. And please remember this: unlike most other websites, we do not depend on traffic for our income, thus we do not have to “run after” readers, clicks or views!
I don’t think that there are many wealthy people amongst our readers, but I am certain that there must be at least a few. To them I want to say this: I get most donations from supporters with modest means, sometimes folks who can only send a buck or two, and have to wait for their social security check before donating (note: if you are in that situation, please do not send any donations, just say a quick prayer for us and that will be plenty!). If God granted you a comparatively comfortable life, then surely you can help those who have to struggle to make ends meet, especially if you regularly read the blog! Don’t let those who are much poorer than you do more than you could without having to sacrifice anything!
Also, the Saker blog intensely irritates A LOT of people. We know that by two good measures: the intensity of the trolling attacks on the comment section and the very sophisticated attacks against our servers. Finally, the Saker blog, and I personally, are constantly badmouthed in the comment section of other websites (which shows how effective our moderators are, by the way!) or even directly attacked by websites who want to acquire some visibility by barking up a much more successful blog (barking is a lot easier than writing solid analyses). Saker haters have been predicting the imminent demise of the Saker blog, yet we are still here, doing better than ever!
I submit that the steady ferocity of these constant attacks is the evidence that we are doing something very right which really frustrates and enrages our ideological enemies.
Last, but not least, this is an “ideologically impure” blog, meaning that we don’t have a unifying, common ideology. Our authors include conservatives and Marxists, Muslim and Orthodox Christians, religious people and agnostics. I pride myself on this “impurity” which websites who depend on a single major donor simply cannot afford (big donors will always require you to “toe the line or else…”. The Saker blog has total freedom and allows for (real) ideological diversity while banning clearly totalitarian propaganda (see rule #20 here), but that means that we don’t have any supporter with deep pockets who can demand that we “toe some kind of ideological line”.
Anyway, this ends my “sales pitch”. Now I am just going to say this: if you can support me, then please use any of the following options listed on this page to send your donation:
http://10.16.86.131/contact-and-donations/
Alternatively, you can purchase Jimmie Moglia’s superb magnum opus (a real gem!) on Shakespeare quotes as he explains it himself here:
If you cannot afford supporting my work with a donation, then please consider two other options: volunteer to assist (we always need extra help for pretty much all our work, including moderators, translators, computers. etc.) or simply say a short prayer for us. That is always what I personally need the most.
I am not sure how long I will keep this appeal up. Frankly, it depends on how many donations we get and what happens on the international scene. I will try to get rid of this appeal as soon as I can, that I promise. In the past, the Saker community has always, always, delivered and helped, be it with donations or with volunteers and I am hopeful that this time again you all we help me, and many others, to continue to work and write for you.
Thanks in advance for any help, in whatever form it may come!
Hugs and cheers to all
Andrei
A prayer for all those that persist on telling truths against the grip of the lying bastards that try to rule the world.
Love is strength. Truth is morally superior to lies.
Best wishes to all.
True. But here is the problem: there is only one “true truth” any innumerable types of lies.
So yes, beauty, truth and love will save the world, but the battle will be intense.
Thank you!
Sincerely Saker I consider your blog to be a gift of truth. I genuinely value your efforts on behalf of humanity and have made a donation.
Please understand that I’m very sincere in my support of your truly exceptional blog and that if I ever post anything you decide to ‘moderate’, I respect your discretion to do so.
May God continue to bless you and again, thank you for what you do.
Thank you for these very kind words of support, Robert!
Kind regards
Andrei

50 $ from Berlin/Germany! Hope this helps!
thank you very much, it will!
I donate because reading your blog helps me with the smorgasbord of lies by the Canadian Mainstream Media. I love to read material from authors who are uncompromising questioners and tell it like it is. Speaking truth to power is journalism. What use is my education if I ignore critical thinking and become a sheep.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson, poet laureate of Britain wrote in 1854 in the “Charge of the Light Brigade” ‘Theirs not to reason why”. This line offers a timeless reflection on the senselessness that accompanies war. Some years after Tennyson published his poem glorifying the loss as a victory, Kipling asked why, in old age, the survivors of the charge were living in poverty.
It is our and journalist’s job to reason why. Why does Western media not reason, and ask why FBI and other American security services manually control digital media?
I am offended when I listen to CBC on domestic or world events as they constantly lie, manipulate, and omit the facts. I unlike CBC do not want the past to be erased, and I don’t want the erasure forgotten, and most importantly I don’t want the lie to become the truth.
CBC news represents everything that is not journalism. CBC newsreaders remind me of men that I have seen licking their lips as they pushed their way past women and children to be first at a smorgasbord table. In the case of CBC’s, so-called journalist. It is to be first to report a smorgasbord of lies.
There is nothing worse than a journalist who demands freedom of the press for our detractors, but then write to please their benefactors. These “ass kissers” want to be the first to fill their plate to overflowing at the smorgasbord of lies as if there is no tomorrow.
A true journalist exposes excesses in our own backyard with equal vigor as he or she exposes them in the Middle East, London, Moscow, or Jerusalem. This is called balance. When it comes to race issues, I am color-blind. An investigative journalist must have a moral compass firmly fixed on the truth and be color-blind to politics, economics and social issues and leave the value judgements to the reader.
A journalist must have a liberal education combined with intelligence to speak about justice and integrity. Those who fear losing the support of people whose approval might be useful to them are not journalists.
I was brought up by parents who worked their way into privilege, but they were always committed to and sacrificed for social justice. Unionism provided balance, so they always unionized their businesses. Their advice to me was always engaging, informative and reliable. I expect journalist to be engaging, informative and reliable.
I consider most national and almost all local journalism as unreliable, including recent media reporting on US elections, world events and in particular the war in Ukraine. You read any article in this nation, turn on the radio or TV and what do you get, one-sided interviews or commentary that reflects Western bias and narrative. We are censored by social media, and by our government, while some journalists are even assassinated.
Journalists seldom if ever ask the tough question. Journalism in this country has become a love affair between those in government and those who control the government. Journalists “prostitute” their credentials to sell Ads and everything that they tell us reflects government policy regardless of its truthfulness, its morality or its life promoting value.
Most journalists get comfy with the politicians and their handlers, and their reports euphemize the truth to promote the government agenda so that the articles that are written might as well be government bulletins. For most Canadian journalists, some revolutions are worthy, while similar revolutions in some country not in our economic orbit are unworthy.
In the reporting about Ukraine and just about every country that we have destabilized, our journalists report what political power and those connected to it tells them to report. Most journalists with professional integrity, exiled, fired or jailed, like Assange, for asking the tough questions or telling the truth. There have been a few others that have been fired, or they quit because they did not want to go to parties, dinners, and bars with those to whose actions they will report.
I’m not seeing tough questions asked by our journalists on any issue of social significance. The journalists in Canada refuse to question power because they want to be part of the social circle, or a club that they aspire to join. Where were the questions about Canada’s largest PR machine the military, the abuses of our international mining companies, or any number of other debacles. Many stones are left unturned, however, there are endless references to workers asking for a reasonable raise which the press reports as Draconian.
The recent media avalanche of disinformation about Russia represents yellow journalism unmatched even by Palmer and Hoover, who organized a campaign against foreigners’ ‘internationalism’ and the police. As a result, troops were ordered to raid magazine offices, public houses, union headquarters and meetings of any liberal organization and “over 6000 were arrested and put in prison”. This was followed by the McCarthy “Witch Hunts” where innocent people were prosecuted, and the courts sent them to prison knowing that the evidence against them was fabricated, while the evidence that exonerated them was omitted.
Why is it that journalists in countries that we see as adversaries that support our narrative are worthy of our protection, and yet journalists like Assange and Snowden are unworthy when they reveal an opposite narrative? If, as a journalist, you protect freedom of the press, you need to protect it everywhere. Why do you ignore the shooting of the RT journalist in Ukraine and the detention and beating of two others, or the recent assassination of Darya Dugina? Why was bombing by NATO of Radio Television Serbia and killing some 15 journalists not a war crime? It’s like condemning the Holocaust but not condemning Vietnam and Laos (2 million dead), Iraq (2.5 million dead) and the Congo (6 million dead) only to mention these three which were genocides by war. Editorials and comments about current issues are shamefully inaccurate, particularly when journalists include historical background. When they don’t have the facts, they make them up.
Journalism is not a popularity contest. A true journalist must be an unpopular messenger of the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Journalists today are shoeshine boys for the corporate sector, and political parties. Journalists at one time investigated government policy reporting on its significance, they did not print press reports as stories for reelection purposes. Where is the integrity in that? The job of a journalist is to expose public policy promoted by campaign donations, self-interest, and corporate need.
Our journalists in the West wrap themselves in the cloak of patriotism, the flag, and religion, to deceive. The job of a journalist is not to reprint articles from wire services which constantly provide one narrative, don’t allow debate and sensor the narrative of the opposition, that is what totalitarian states do, not democracies that we supposed to represent. A journalist’s job is not to debate me or anyone else, the job is to find out the truth and print it.
I very much agree with you – modern “journalism” has really become pure PR/PSYOPS/propaganda. They are not even trying to be remotely credible, they just want to browbeat everybody into accepting their ideological dogmas and keep the confines of allowed discussion very very narrow.
I will add that I personally don’t consider myself as a journalist, but rather a “independent military analyst”.
It’s not just the Ukraine which needs “denazification” – it is also the entire western “free media”…
Cheers
lovely post you typed. i myself live in canada, im 24 and feel very lost with all this shit that has been happening round me. im terrified and scared. do you have any advice for a young male. i amfalling into a deep darkness of no purpose, seeing these evil people just walk over everyone is killing me inside. i dont see a purpose in this life. i want to be a dad but i do not want to give life in this shitty world.
dman,
I’m an American midwesterner who’s experienced a cycle of deep despair over the state of my community, family, country and the world. This last year has tested my limits mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. There have been some dark moments and still, I’m finding the requisite fortitude by simply choosing to love this world and the people around me as best I can. The summer skies and countryside here are amazing even though many the people around me seem harried and unhappy. I don’t get it sometimes. I’ve shut out all mainstream media to my benefit. This blog and a few others.
It’s hard in the face of so much disgust because the state of things is undeniably disgusting. Thanks to this blog, I’ve come away with a better sense of faith.
It’s a daily, sometimes momentary struggle. I feel for you and wish you the best.
I’m in the poor man’s category, but my prayers are with you all.
thanks for that, ill try my best
I’m an American midwesterner who’s experienced a cycle of deep despair over the state of my community, family, country and the world.
Please don’t!! I made the same mistake in 1993 after seeing the butchery in Moscow. I thought “Russia is dead – forget it, give up” and that was a HUGE mistake.
Yes, right now the USA is in a very bad spot (but still better than Europe). And yes, the USA is run by the Neocons, but consider this: the defeat of the West in the Ukraine, the EU and NATO will have a major, historic, faceplant. This will result, one way or another, in the ejection of the US Neocons from Europe, at which point the USA will face a deep crisis. The good news is that the Neocons are a small minority and that sooner or later, they will lose their grip over a country filled with talented people and plenty of natural resources.
So you have to be patient and find a lot of courage and wisdom inside yourself, more than I had in 1993, and not give up on your country or on your fellow citizens.
As Dostoevsky said: nations should be judged by how high they can soar and not by how low they can fall.
I am not an US citizen, and I am not directly involved here. But I am sure that there will be another USA (maybe several) just as there will be another Europe.
We just need to be patient, keep our “eyes on the prize” and never give up.
Arundhati Roy put it best:
“To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
Do these words not give us all hope?
Kind regards
Andrei
Yes. I hope so, and I pray for that too.
I am more “for” than “against”
saker, is canada similar in the state of affairs of america…
well, Canada is probably in a much worse shape than the USA (not “America”), In the US at least there is a Bill of Rights and while the Woke freaks and Neocons want to chip away at it (and they are!) at least it offers some degree of protection.
Also, US governors, like DeSantis, can more or less openly defy the Feds.
So yes, Canada is in a terrible shape trying to be a “little USA” by being as toxic and evil as possible.
would any out come of the ukraine war affect canada at all. i always told how usa gos canada follows
also should i attempt escape this country im quite lost in the direction that i should take. i always think the usa will be a better place for hope then trying to find hope here in canada
Only in some states like FL, AZ or TX.
Stay away from the northern states
especially big cities run by Democrats
good luck!
Toxicity in Canada comes from vote buying and its archaic voting structure. Canada has 338 constituencies , ridings or electoral areas where members of parliament are elected. Popular vote has very little to do with who becomes leader or Prime Minister (PM). Usual turnout at election time is about 55% . The number of seats a party gets never reflects the popular vote because the electoral districts are not equl in size. Some ridings are twice the size of others. The present minority government is nothing more than a dictatorship of the minority . They rue by making deals with the political party that is closest to its idfeology We do have a natinal Bill of Rights which deal with relationship in the workplace. Each province has a Bill of Rights as well which also deal with private relationships descrimination in the work place and so on. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms ws brought in in 1982 and its main goal is to protect persons against abuses of the government . The courts continue to interpret the charter so some judges interpret the Charter liberally while other are more conservative so there is some confuion in final outcomes. Canada signs international agreements which are part of our legal system but we seldom obay such agreementsso so our signature on the indegenous people, nazism and other vote loosing agreements are ignored. Our present Ukrain policy is developed by the deputy PM a granddaughter of a former nazi . She calls Banderites like her grandpa freedom fighters. In reality if voting changed anything in canada they would outlaw it. .
Dman, indeed the shit show that’s been pushed down our throats seems unbearable…The only way to deal with it, is to surround yourself with likeminded people and to socialize with them, have a few beers, barbecues and discuss the current situation! You will see that you are not alone and that will give you strength and hope…There’s a silent majority out there, you just have to find those people…It won’t be easy, but that’s a good start…And, of course, the spiritual part is very important, find a church and a priest and pray…Good luck bud and keep your head up!
PS: And keep reading The Saker!
dman,
By giving a life to this world will make it a bit less shitty. As for mental sanity, stop watching or listening to the news, on TV, on your phone. Socialize with like minded people, go out together, to the beach, on the hike, parks – no need to spend big money to go to clubs/pubs. And don’t forget girls, romantic feelings are the best source of dopamine, beats drugs and alcohol any time. When the times get tough, and they will, having friends around who can help each other means difference between life and death. Money becomes unimportant. Do not measure yourself against accepted templates. You do not have to leave parents and live alone just because you are out of school, or maybe got a job. Parents are also great help when raising kids. Having an apartment downtown is not happiness, it is loneliness.
Stay put, open your eyes for what is going around you, and think of yourself, current and future family. It is not easy, it never was and it never will. But you are young and that is the greatest gift and advantage you have in this world. It is true that generation of your parents (includes myself) did not do much to avoid the state of the world nowadays. But then, it was not that anybody asked us important questions. It’s OK to feel anger and resentment about older generation, however, acting on that anger will just make things worse. and believe me, it is never as bad as it looks. As long as there is no conscription and war, consider yourself fortunate.
Take care and no more TV. And dopamine of course, natural way.
thanks alot for that
I’ll send an old-fashioned paper check for $200 to your USPS address.

But like thousand of your readers our pensions are getting lower and prices go only up I can say I pray for you. But I would like to help in a different manner. But my age will diktat what I can doo. Thanks for all your great work. Walter
our pensions are getting lower and prices go only up
Yes, and I am ACUTELY aware of that.
This is why I always insist that you should ONLY give from your “extra” and if you don’t have it, then please do not send me a single cent.
And I need your prayers A LOT more than I need any donations.
So keep me in your prayers (even very short ones) and consider that you have truly done “above and beyond” I could ask of anybody!
Thank you
Andrei

Danke für die großartige Arbeit die Ihr leistet.
Vielen Dank für Ihre freundliche Unterstützung!

Andrei
I am not rich but I have enough to feed and lodge me. It is without making any sacrifice that I send you a donation of 25 euros by paypal.
I am not a believer, All I can do more is to thank you for the existence of this blog, all my gratitude to you and your team.
Thank you
Thanks a lot for your support and kind words!!
Andrei, my educated guess on the next assassination target of the Nazis is Sergei Glaziev because that is who the British Deep State always went after, the Economic Ministry, Sergei Witte for example. Glazyev’s Economic strategy is very innovative and is bound to succeed and get further ahead of the EU Kleptocracy. I hope you have a Russian source who can alert the proper Russian authorities.
Incidentally, I’ll use this post to draw attention to my very first donation.
As I have said, thank you so much and actually to all the commenters who contribute and assemble here, for desiring the truth above all.
And I really appreciate the straightforwardness of your dealings with the critical subjects we address.
Also, your sensitivity to the things of God, your testimony to good and wholesome things. I sent my donation through Amazon it was the quickest and best way this time.
got it, thank you so much!!!!
Andrei

Thank you!!
I sent $25! This is a great site, thank you for presenting a refreshing alternative to the typical Cointelpro
I am not in a financial position to be able to help and I feel bad because of it.
But one think I have been doing throughout the time I followed your blog, is to spread your site to many friends and acquaintances, in the hope that they can see the light.
Furthermore, I am thankful to you, for what the Saker has done to my intellect and knowledge.
God bless you and all of you contributors and staff.
