Once I read a sci-fi in which the highly developed civilization had an energy shield which had been supplied by the energy it was attacked with. So, the harder it was attacked, the stronger the shield has become – no pasaran.
The stronger the Eurocrats and Washington puddles attack Orbán / Fidesz / Hungary – the stronger they will become on every election. Hence recalling that sci-fi.
Why did Fidesz win again by landslide?
First, their economic policies work. Despite of all liberal smearing, the economy thrives especially in comparison with their predecessors / recent opposition records. Despite of being always called right wing, on the economy they are the left-most alternative; the so called “left” are austerity champion neoliberals. Hungary always vote to the left, no matter how you name them.
The so called opposition is not else just a wide variety of incompetent traitors, focusing on the corruption potential and kickback opportunities from their foreign masters could they finally sell out Hungary once again to the westerners. Hungary alone is not so big chunk, Orbán poses rather a general danger as a succesful model for the rest of eastern colonies – even for the western countries.
The role of the Ukrainian conflagration and silent world war in the outcome
The final Fidesz victory was sealed, the opposition had no chance to win. But it was not necessary to gain 2/3 supermajority once again – the fourth consecutive one.
The opposition falsely believed that the election is to be won in Brussels and Washington and tried to comply with their foreign masters wishes. Instead, the election is to be won at the Hungarian people who had no desire to shoot themselfes into the feet by closing the gas, oil pipes, let alone to be dragged into the Ukrainian war.
Orbán to the contrary made it clear that Fidesz has no intention to partake in the war nor to close Russian energy sources. People understood what is at stake, the high participation and the overwhelming Fidesz victory is clear result of the opposing stances on war and energy. The opposition was so utterly clueless, living in their ivory towers that have not even had a slight idea that they are slaughtering their our chances by cozying Zelensky and promising weapons and energy shut down.
Why is Orbán hated so much in the general West? (a fact)
Fidesz is first a patriotic movement where patriotism is driven by sheer interest of the elite – we (the elite) can keep more if we can renegotiate the terms and conditions with the West, our wannabe masters. Before Fidesz, the business looked like having a western puppet government / procurator charged with the local administration on the colony, ensuring that minimum 100% of all values created in the “country” will be siphoned out to abroad. This person was called the leader of the country, PM. This policy lead to the total economic breakdown of the country. Austerity measures, privatization of everything, 6.5% interest to foreigners on their bonds (they are fine with 1-2% now) etc. Former govs – named “socialist” and “liberal” have driven the country to the wall, and it literally crashed. People wanted to get rid of that gang. Former PM Gyurcsány (“socialist party”) hides around 1B USD in Indonesia in energy sector. That’s for the clean hands of the opposition. This info was aired by the US on anonim blogs when they executed their renegate employee who got too close to Putin – the money was obviously from a kickback of natgas and oil contracts from Russia and your loyalty is where your money comes from…
Fidesz realized that they can churn out more than the 30 silvers of Judas, the typical colonial administrations could make (in fact several billions of € annually, plus positions in the international cabal), they offered a more fair 50-50%. So, anyone can make money in Hungary and even repatriate a part of it, but a fair share must remain in the country as investment / tax / bribe – whatever, but owned by countrymen. Obviously this is a less attractive offer, and the Empire wanted to backpedal to the previous business model – hence Orbán and Fidesz must go.
What is Orbán’s strategy and why it works?
Long term, working political vision in the first place; honest, frank communication in the second.
Never before had Hungary any governement (after medieval ages) who ever had any political vision beyond serving their foreign masters – let the Empire be headquartered in Vienna, Berlin, Moscow, Washington or Brussels. For the typical lackeys acting the Hungarian political class a foreign ass to lick well deep enough is a must. No matter the ramifications to the country. They personally will be well off.
Orbán has understood, that changing the game to benefit their fellow countrimen can protect his position in the political power. This is so simple. He does this and it works.
Never had Hungary any gorvernment talking openly about the truth. Saying that center of economy moves to Asia and the collective West is loosing momentum is true, but when real steps follows – cooperation with China, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, etc… It breaches the Washington red lines. Orbán must go. Liberal opposition home and abroad likes to call this falling to Russian / Chinese / Autocrat dezinformation – while they are doing the same thing behind the curtain. Quad licet Iovi, non licet Bovi.
Hungarian people are well informed about real-geopolitik (thanks to Fidesz saying the truth), support Fidesz to continue a more beneficial course for the country.
Proud of Hungarians, they made the right choice once again!!! Good and friendly people!
Orban Quote “Our victory is so big it can be seen from the Moon”…
No info on what Soros’s reaction was.
To continue the quote: “Our victory is so big it can be seen from the Moon, but certainly from Brussels” 😄
Congratulations to our Hungarian brothers for staying on the right side of history. Bravo!
or in 7 words, ”speaking the truth is the best propaganda”
Orban puts Christ as King. Shamefully nowhere do you mention it in your article. Orban openly declares that Hungary is a Christian nation. Putin also, supports Christianity in Russia. And Russia will be blessed as it leaves behind the Christ-hating Bolsheviks.
In the West we promote pedophiles, usury, and secularism. Christians are jailed as political prisoners while Russia has rushed to the aid of Christians getting beheaded in Syria by the Zio terrorists.
Christ is the bedrock on which to build.
Amen, brother! When I read about Orban defying the wishes of the West and and boldly proclaiming the truth with the Lord Jesus being honored and lifted up in Hungary, I was filled with joy. I am praying for him, his family and all people who support him. I pray for wisdom and discernment from God and special protection. I find myself praying the Lord’s Prayer more than I have ever done before, because sometimes we just don’t know exactly what to ask for. But we know God’s will is always correct.
May it rain on a sunny day and bring the rainbow of gold to your brick neighborhood.
Yep big win for Orban and another in Serbia and maybe in 90 days in Pakistani.
When I read that they would not accept migrants via euro dictate my hope was and is that they would continue to defy the appointed eurocrats steering their countries onto the rocks. So far they are holding the line.
Hungarians remember Mohacs like it was yesterday, and after 150 years of Ottoman rule and Habsburg-Ottoman military conflict on their lands, which they can’t ever forget, they were never going to be favorably disposed to Mediterranean immigration. They are the wildcard contrarians of Europe. They were the first to tear down the razor wire in anticipation of the collapse of the USSR. 1848, 1956, they don’t forget that stuff either. They basically have a bone to pick with almost everybody.
Congratulations to Mr. orban and the Hungarian people. We live in odd times when the fake left political parties pursue far right neo-liberal economic policies and an aggressive fascist foreign policy. And this attempt to radically transform the western countries into a collective pro Homo pro Tranny nations instead of free ones.
Orban throttled Soros and kicked him out. For that the West will never forgive him.
Hungarians have courage to mind their interests, instead of being led around on a leash like the Poles and the Baltic Little-stans.
Hungary is throwing its sovereignty away.
Hungary – EU National Reform Programme 2021
Hungary – EU Convergence Programme 2021
Recommendation for a Council opinion on the 2021 EU Convergence Programme of Hungary
https://ec.europa.eu/info/business-economy-euro/economic-and-fiscal-policy-coordination/eu-economic-governance-monitoring-prevention-correction/european-semester/european-semester-timeline/national-reform-programmes-and-stability-or-convergence-programmes/2021-european_en#hungary
They should not join the EU. They should walk.
Agree that it would be best to walk away from what the EU and NATO have turned into. It can be argued that joining when they did was a proper course to take at the time, but it is clear that that is no longer the case.
However, now there exists a fundamental problem. When one is seated on the back the tiger, how does one dismount without getting eaten?
Being a small, landlocked country almost entirely surrounded by EU and/or NATO countries, if Hungary tried to escape from their clutches, it is almost certain that it would be severely punished, i.e., economically ruined via EU policies and probably “color-revolutioned”, for its insolence in trying to escape.
It is more complicated. Hungary is a European country for more than a millenia and staying in EU has no alternative. Hungarians are born rebels and this time is not different. We have no option to ‘leave’, we chose to fight for Europe from within. Orbán has grown out tiny Hungary, he has only one dream left – to convert the EU from the recent form to an “EU of the nations” – by the letters of the contracts. Zeitgeist is on his side, still has time, has respect, has friends and seeds of similar transitions all over – Salvini, Wilders, Farage, Zemmour, Abascal, etc.
Vucic in Serbia has won big too. Our relationship with Serbia is at least strategic, and in a strange way the successes of the parties and their strong alliance poses the biggest risk, as there is a working alliance being friendly or at least not confronting with Russia. I am not sure whether such rebellion and potential seed of a broader alliance (think of Slovenia, Slovakia, etc) in such a sensitive regio will be permitted to exist. I am referring to the axis of kindness of course.
If Orbáns hopes fails, the options will be scarce. To be honest the miracle is where we are now, pulling a smaller eastern alliance defying Brussels as an alternative to EU has zero viability, as it would clash with basic interests of US, EU and in the neighborhood Romania and Poland the bigger countries who put all their eggs into the NATO basket. So, there will be no other ways, we will have to make ours through Brussels.
Good luck Waldo.
Many have tried and failed.
Why the UK walked away in the end but by then it was too late. We were asset stripped in the 80/90’s and public services turned into rent extracting monopolies a long time ago. That’s where the real theft of your wages go not via taxes.
The reason They cut taxes is so that the rent seekers can steal more of your wage.
It is now run by large companies and the banks that you can never get rid of at the ballot box. Money has replaced the vote.
They make Damn sure the person who can change it name is never on the ballot box. As they control the media.
I agree with your assesment on the privatization. It is never too late, but might take decades to get back privatized infrastructure. In Hungary they privatized everything and results were catastrophic. Electric companies, natgas distributors, water supply, highway, banks, everything was not only privatized but even in foreign hands. All cents they made were repatriated to abroad. During the ’90-s foreigners purchased also all industrial plants and retail chains. With a few exceptions everything has been closed – reasoned that they are not efficient -, and the point was to replace local production with imported goods, buying the market for their foreign industries and closing local competition. Of course all assets, the whole country was sold out for cents. The managerial class – political elite – have become billionairs from kickbacks, didn’t care that they ruined a trillion class value – the livelihood of the country. The country was so utterly broke, huge part of the able workforce left to the west. Btw., this caused a steady increase of wages on the workforce market which has become part of the Fidesz success, helping them undeserved.
This is where Fidesz took the helm, and thanks to their bravery, competence and alternative view they started to take the country back. It met first political resistance. The french ambassador went to long rants in media against the government when their company was stripped of water supply rights in countryside. The same happened with all basic infrastructure, natgas distribution, electric companies, etc (livid ambassadors and their homelands cursing Orbán ofc.). Now most critical infrastructure is in national hands again and there are national alternative in all sectors (bank, telecom, etc.) – this is why Orbán is depicted as fascist. Hungary lost 2-3 decades, a generation’s life – ours. But it is possible, only political will and power is needed (driven by desperation when all is lost). In Hungary that came from the revolt of the people against the neoliberal austerity champions. Former “socialist” PM is the Hungarian version of Tory Blair. He and the total disgust and despise of him made supermajority for Fidesz in 4 elections as he is the only alternative and we don’t want him back.
England was never truly Europe, not in a continental sense. UK is separate entitiy geographically close to EU but not part of it. It has an imperial self consciousness which does not exist anymore on its own, rather in a US-UK or UK-US tandem, they (try to) exercise their overlord status as part of this unholy alliance. While in EU, UK acted as the US hand in EU. Hungary and any truly continental country surrounded by other countries especially if small, has a totally different set of conditions.
Election result = a glove in the face of Soros and the EU elites.
It’s not all peaches though.
A lot of people in Hungary (myself included) don’t think Orbán’s regime to be using “honest, frank communication” at all. The main thing keeping them in power seems to be the media monopoly, giving them a support of 53% percent – wich is the actual result they got on the party list vote, but with the new election laws they introduced a cycle ago this translates to 2/3 in the parliament.
The separation of state and party, especially during the campaign is in a real bad shape – there was a state-financed campaign (posters, facebook, youtoube) largely pushing the Fidesz narrative, openly criticizing former PM Gyurcsány (who left the office in 2009). I agree that he really did a poor job, and is generally a joke of a statesman, but still… if Fidesz is right, do they really have to resort to such shamelessly primitive tactics spending upwards of 10x the amount the opposition combined, and much more than the allowed campaign budget?
Independence of the courts is also highly questionable, with the most recent story involving under-secretary Pál Völner receiving 884 million HUF payoff in total from president of Judical Enforcment Faculty György Schadl (https://hungarytoday.hu/444-key-figure-in-volner-corruption-case-gyorgy-schadl-judge-fired-judiciary-obh/).
Meanwhile favored oligarchs are rising. Including, but not limited to Lőrinc Mészáros gas man-turned-billionaire from Orbán’s hometown (https://www.forbes.com/profile/lorinc-meszaros/)
Lots of shady stories, lots of angry people, public course radicalized to the extremes (by design). Not a fun place to be.
But I give you that Orbán indeed has a vision, and his foreign politics are more fortunate than the opposition’s would be. We’re probably better off geopolitics-wise with him in power.
My main message is that many people consider Fidesz to be the main agent of organized crime, and therefore Hungary a mafia state. But they might just turn out to be quite useful in these interesting times after all.
I don’t think most people are voting on them because they are well-informed about geopolitics. I do think most of their voters (simple people from poor regions) are simply brainwashed in other domestic matters.
Please if you can ,show us one and only one government on this planet which isn’t attached to every big business in particular state – states.
Without any connections – no knowledge about anything – interaction it’s MUST*
Questions who goes to check out these connections
You are echoing all the typical liberal opposition panels from the opposition propaganda, so let me skip your Soros phrased rants on “values” and “balances”.
You blame Orbán by running a mafia state. This is oxymoron, because all state is by definition a mafia. The strongest on its territory. The opposition’s problem is that Fidesz does it (this too) better than they can. Fidesz runs economy better, runs corruption better. It is not that opposition is any better, less corrupt or less mafia style. They are just less efficient even in stealing. I understand that it hurts.
Frank communication means not missing propaganda, but having a smaller gap between propaganda and reality. Fidesz propaganda is that a liberal international cabal (aka Soros gang, NGO’s, subdued EU institutions, some EU governemnts, US democrats) has an unholy agenda trying to impose it by force on all countries no holds barred. This is valid, this is true (try to deny here, this is not WaPo).
The opposition propaganda is that there is no liberal cabal, this is an excuse for Fidesz to run a mafia. This is not valid, as the cabal exists. The opposition is a lesser grade contender mafia having less talent and power now. I know precisely how deep the rabbit holes of MSZP (socialist) and SZDSZ (liberal) mafias went, let me tell to everyone, they are morally inferior and practically less skilled in their crimes. So this is why opposition smearing of Fidesz by corruption does not stick, everyone knows that opposition figures are no better in that.
The only difference in the competition is that Fidesz gathers for themselves and in return protects the country, meanwhile your little democracy champions apply for serving their foreign masters and sell out the country for their 30 Judas silvers.
You’re right that it’s probably no better anywhere else. Maybe they’re hiding it better, is all.
You’re also right that Fidesz is operating at a completely different level than the opposition. They are professionals while the collective opposition is a very and disappointing sad bunch.
I agree on the Zone A agenda as well, I’m just not sure about Soros & co running the whole opposition. For starters, they should be doing much better if there really was western money & intel supporting them. Their spendings are nowhere near compared to Fidesz&government campaigns.
But maybe I’m just too naive to think that a state could work without the mafia and the liberal cabal.
Or it might be that I’m just tired of doing a life redesign every few years over Fidesz’s unopposed 2/3 laws.
Anyhow, I just wanted to report on a different opinion of the aforementioned landslide:
I think Fidesz won because they are pros at rigging the system for their own benefit.
I don’t think they give a rat’s behind about the people, and the people couldn’t care less about foreign policy.
Most of them are too busy making ends meet and they’re happy to give their vote away for some change or a sack of potatoes.
I’m not talking about anyone educated enough to be interested in the bigger picture and making their decisions based on that.
I’m talking about the masses who only have access to state media, and are deliberately kept in poverty so they’ll be easier to buy the next time around. They’ll get the worst of it, as usually.
I just have to add, that the FIDESZ abbreviation is from “Fiatal demokraták szövetsége” which means “Union of young democrats” … this party was formed from the former communist youth organization in Hungary.
Viktor Orbán himself went through the Soros and his Open Society funded university, with his co-politicians, like for example Tamás Deutsch. This was still in the eighties, when Soros made some friends with the communist politicians for his future robberies.
I think, here lies the reason, why Orbán hates the guts of Soros and his institutions: he knows very well, what for they prepare the future so called elites of the country: treason … does not matter what ideology is behind, the real outcome should be treason. He studied there and knows well all their methods!
That is why he can effectively fight against them. Viktor Orbán is one of Soros’ blunder …
… something like Neo in the Matrix … somebody just woke up from the nightmare and fights against it.
Let us be honest. Depicting Orbán as an elevated moral being serving religious or moral goals is just as misleading as cursing and smearing him and depicting him as the new Hitler (liberals).
He is first and most a talented and successful politician, power hungry, with huge desire to get into and to remain in power.
Yes, he started on liberal side as the whole Fidesz. I remember how they were having jokes on right wing, conservative political powers, politicians, christians – while still playing on the liberal side.
They realized that the liberal slot in the Hungarian political life is already taken by SZDSZ, the primordial nest of urban liberal intelligentsia. SZDSZ was the local office of the liberal international network, nobody could beat them in that position, they were also ethnically accepted in London and Washington as they were the jewish party in Hungary (they were full of offsprings of highest ranked jewish commnist top leaders – it was very similar to Soviet Communists, the leadership was overwhelmingly jew).
Orbán is pragmatic, they wanted power and they realized that the liberal way is taken, the socialist party was still strong, so left is also taken, meanwhile the right wing conservatives were extremely weak, amateurs, truly anti-politicians. Historicians, writers, and other total inept people acting politicians. They understood corruption and kickback, but nothing beyond that. These corrupt entellectuels piled errors on crimes and had totally lost the sympathy of the people – despite that they have been elected on the first election in 1990. Hence in 1994 socialists came back, who despite of their majority in the parliament made coalition with SZDSZ! This way SZDSZ and commies could pillage the rest what the old conservatives left. During this commie / SZDSZ tenure did Fidesz make a conservative transition, so in 1998 Fidesz could win (people were fed up with all others). In 2002 Fidesz lost to MSZP (commies).
In Hungary there is cultural, institutional background of conservativism (churches, christian intelligentsia) to support a political party representing their interests. An old professor introduced Orbán (in ’90-s) to the highest echelons of these circles and Fidesz had been accepted as their political party, representation. This guy was Ferenc Mádl, who has been elected to be president of Hungary in return during the first Orbán tenure 1998-2002 (in Hungary parliament elects the president). This was the transition of Fidesz from liberal to conservative, from atheist to christians. These guys are diamond hard opportunists, not born conservatives. Still I admit that they are patriots.
And yes … I have to mention, that the core of Viktor Orbán’s policy is the support of the Hungarian family and the christian values. These two points are enough to declare him a Devil from the EU and the US politicians.
They wrote into law, that a marriage is between a man and a woman. Can you imagine the fury of the pederast elites in the EU ?
Orbán’s party is against the illegal immigration and declared, that they rather support the Hungarian families and their children.
Just imagine what the Swedish minister of Family said (Annika Strandhall, 2019, a woman, no joke): “How regretful it is, that the Hungarians want more of their own children” … you just can not make this up in this crazy world … insane!
In my not published comment (a vicious rant about German fd up politics) I answered the questions about the west. OK, as it can´t be published, what else can I say? Nothing.
