The phrase “filmed at Mosfilm” has become a meme after the Euro-Ukies and the Russian ‘creatives’ squealed for a long time in unison about Putin’s cartoons in the form of drawings of the Crimean Bridge and the new weapon systems. While they have had to grudgingly admit the existence of the bridge, the reality of such missiles as the ‘Burevestnik’ is more than they can reconcile with. Great Britain however obviously believes that Putin’s cartoons are real.
The topic of the new Russian weapons which our president regularly puts on the agenda strongly irritates the ‘fighters with the regime’. It is not difficult to see the reason for their irritation. According to the liberal symbol of faith, the West has overtaken Russia in technological advancement by some 50 or 100 years, i.e. forever and ever. And admitting that this symbol of faith is nothing but an agitation leaflet is physically impossible for these ‘creatives’, because this threatens their already shaking mental integrity. In the meantime, in the West itself from where this symbol of faith was palmed off to the Russian liberals, they have rid themselves of such prejudices.
Source – Sunday Telegraph: “The Chief of the British military intelligence, Jim Hockenhull warned that the Russian global range missile with a nuclear power source ‘Burevestnik’ is capable of staying in the atmosphere for a practically unlimited period of time,” wrote the Sunday Telegraph.
“Moscow is trialing a subsonic cruise missile with a nuclear powered engine, which has a global range and will allow a strike from unexpected directions,” Jim Hockenhull stated at a media briefing at the ‘Five Eyes’ intelligence alliance HQ. The ‘Five Eyes’ alliance unites the intelligence services of purely Anglo-Saxon countries – USA, UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, the head state of four of which, by the way, is that very Buckingham old lady who, they say, only reigns but never rules. Well, as you can see this gentlemen’s club regards the Russian missile as quite real. Even if to take into account the inflation of the image of the Evil Ivan which allows to carve up the defense budgets, the Anglo-Saxon countries’ apprehensions cannot be dismissed as far-fetched.
Source – RIA Novosti: “According to the publication, Hockenhull stressed that thanks to its rocket engine the Russian missile has ‘practically unlimited standby time.’ It also said that the chief of the British military intelligence noted the Russia’s considerable investments in development of her submarine fleet and deep water capabilities.” “’They have studied the West thoroughly in order to understand where their investments would cause more problems for us,’ Hockenhull believes.”
This must be a typo in RIA Novosti’s publication. Instead of “thanks to the rocket engine” it should say “thanks to the nuclear powered engine.” But the readers surely understood what was meant. And the trolling on the subject immediately began in the social networks: “How come? It’s supposed to be just cartoons.” This way it’s impossible to go without the cunning-plan style explanations like “the British elite secretly controls Putin by having his daughters as hostages.” Because otherwise it is unclear why the ‘Five Eyes’ alliance member CIA’s prognosis, which the liberals danced around so joyfully back in 2004, still hasn’t come true.
Source – CIA 2004 prognosis: “A dark future awaits Russia, if we believe the authors of the ‘Global Tendencies 2015’ report. It will remain the zone of instability. Even in the best case scenario with a yearly growth of 5%, in 11 years the Russian economic figures will still be less than one fifth of those in the United States. In the social sphere Russia will face reduction of its population which at the same time will become increasingly less healthy and will not be able to be the engine for economic advancement. The main thing however is that Russia will partition into 6-8 separate states. The chief reason for this partition is the economic isolation and the secretive nature of the current state. The process of the power centralization will lead to the governing system’s malfunction. The result will be the ‘territorial fragmentation.’”
It must be said that the CIA analysts have been putting forward such assumptions since 2000, when this was said about Russia: “Right up till 2015, Moscow will increasingly face problems with tying up ambitions for the global leadership and its catastrophically reduced resources. The most probable outcome is that Russia will remain internally weak and included in the global political process mostly thanks to the permanent seat at the UN Security Council. As for the Russian analysts, they see the beginning of partitioning of Russia in strengthening of the local leaders who seize full financial control over entire regions, like, for instance, Abramovich did with Chukotka.”
It turned out rather embarrassing indeed. Instead of partitioning us, our country gained Sevastopol and Crimea. Among the prospects are Donbass’ return to the native harbor and some sort of renewed form of the union state with Belorussia. The local leaders whom the bright faced analysts set their hopes upon either fled, like Abramovich or did time, like Khodarkovsky, or are still doing time, like Gaiser. As for the global leadership ambitions, then, if we believe the American Democrats, not only we have the ‘Burevestnik’ but we [Russians] elected Trump for president on top of that. How does the liberal symbol of faith survives all of this is a mystery which light is yet to be shed upon by the British scientists. Perhaps you have any ideas?
“not only we have the ‘Burevestnik’ but we [Russians] elected Trump for president on top of that.”
That part right there had me cracking up.
Good article.

Well, it has always been Western policy to belittle Russia in every respect. The West was supposed to be superior in every respect, especially in military high tech. What Russia had, was what Russia “stole” from the West.
The first shock comes in 2014, when NATO troops in Crimea were preparing, in conjunction with Ukrainian, to seize the Naval Port of Sevastopol. The all got themselves surrounded by Russian Spetsnats commando troops, who opened a corridor, permitting them to ‘escape’. The second shock comes a year later with the Russian intervention in Syria and the efficiency that was shown. The third shock comes with Putin’s unveiling of Russian high tech missile systems. And the Western reactions ? More vilifications of Russia, from absurd accusations that military nerve gas was used against the Scripals and blogger Navalny, to accusations that Putin controls Trump.
Will Western hostility against Russia cease ? I am afraid not. The West has been trying tom occupy Russia since the 13th century, when Alexander Nevsky defeated the Vatican sponsored German knights. So long as the West is influenced (if not controlled) by private banks and corporations, who constantly dream of breaking up and plundering Russia, then Western hostilities against Russia will continue.
@BF: “it has always been Western policy to belittle Russia in every respect.”
English policy goes as far back as Elizabeth I, the Virgin Queen:
“A Mess of Russians” — Shakespeare, Love’s Labour’s Lost
Western racism against Russia was so great that the first Neandertal skeleton discovered – and that of a deformed individual – was initially claimed by certain people to belong to a Russian soldier.
Dr.NG MAROUDAS
Yes. However, a slight digression from me. When it comes to the Virgin Queen, she was, almost certainly, a man and not a woman, which is the reason ‘she’ never married and had kids. The real Queen Elizabeth died when she was seven years old. She was buried in secrecy, and a boy was substituted in her place, the opinion of the day being that only men could rule. If you look at ‘her’ portraits, you can see manly features in ‘her’ facial characteristics. That she was a man and not a women was rumored both during and after ‘her’ reign.
If that was the opinion of the day why was, Mary I the queen of England from July 1553 to 1558?
It’s wrong to grant Russia pride of place in that respect. After all, British and American leaders and their pet “intellectuals” have always looked down with condescension and scorn on “the lesser breeds without the law”.
Those traditionally included anyone with the slightest dusky tinge to their skin; those with the wrong kind of hair; and especially anyone “African” or “Asiatic”.
Western contempt for the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Indians, Iranians, Pakistanis, etc. and for all Africans and Latin Americans is at least as great as that for Russians. And they aren’t too keen on “Eastern Europeans” either.

What is ironic is that when it comes to “lesser breeds”, the English for example, have 40 % Norwegian and Danish Viking blood in their veins. When it comes to Russians, they too have 40 % Scandinavian blood, it being Swedish. Yes, some Russians with whom I corresponded would dispute this, but then again, when it comes to history, it is a subject open to different interpretations.
That 40% Norwegian and Danish blood has since been displaced by Jamaican and Bengali blood now. Particularly in English women who are happy to increase the Jamaican quotient as much as possible.

To both of you – Please get back on topic or take this discussion to the MFC. Thank You.
BF, I do not want to argue with your point, as I do not know the stats. You have to remember we sort of argued the point some time ago. Interestingly enough, there are series of history video’s in Greek, where the fellow insisted on your point, saying that Russians have Viking origins, and wait for this: “This is why they are such fearless warriors”. Having said that, I watched Russian commentary, where the lady historian was saying that yes Vikings had settlements along the River Volga and Moscow was one of them. They constantly traversed along the rivers (Volga, Don) in order to trade with Eastern Roman Empire. Contrary to popular belief, they were not such bloodthirsty ax wielding barbarians, they also traded with others. Having said that, here is a Russian video produced by the Russian Government:
История Рюрика — князь Руси – Москва 24

Interesting fact:
Greek word for daughter is “kori”. Poles use an expression: “córa – but in old Polish used to be cora (pronounced tsora for the English speakers”. Yet Russians use “viking word – dotchera, dotch”, interesting isn’t it?
Short demonstration:
Russian дочь – Old Norse dóttir (Old Norse is still alive in Iceland). Mind you my Norwegian friend was in good command of both old and new Norse.
No,they hate Russia more, and always will.
Who died in two wars, mostly Christians.
What you are all witnessing right now in the world is this, remember it.Everything else is just fluff.
Here it is, “ORGANIZED DECONSTRUCTION OF WHITE CHRISTIAN BASAED SOCIETY” by any means necessary.
I coined this term 30 years ago,and in that time everything points to exactly that.
Sorry,i have no dr,or phd with myname.Me just a poor Yugoslav with no country, thanks to NATO.
I wonder if there’s a betting pool within the CIA about the potential fragmentation of the Outlaw US Empire thanks to the financial parasitism of Neoliberalism and the resulting societal dysfunction which has the nation more polarized than at anytime since 1860? Maybe we should convene another Philadelphia Convention to modify the 1787 Constitution in a manner similar to how the Articles of Confederation were modified. Oh, but then that would be a Coup wouldn’t it. Funny how that isn’t how the 1787 event’s described.
Outlaw Historian
“I wonder if there’s a betting pool within the CIA about the potential fragmentation of the Outlaw US Empire…”. Yes, there is, and not only inside the CIA. And this potential fragmentation does not only apply to the US Empire, but to the US its self.
The 9/11 inside job in 2001 was not only a geopolitical stunt, an excuse to invade Afghanistan and Iraq, but also an excuse to introduce ‘military police USA’. By 2001 the US was a police state, while after 2001 it became a military police state. The Homelands Security Act placed all police departments in the US under military supervision and jurisdiction. Why ? The answer is simple. The elite in the US have watched the foreign and domestic debt of the US drastically increase in size, making it impossible for any repayment. They have also seen the dollar being printed in huge amounts, backed by nothing. A financial crash is inevitable. And the consequences ? Anything is possible. The elite will try holding the country together should it experience a financial crisis. Failing that, the elite will run away, as the Roman elite did in 476 before Rome fell. For years the US elite has been buying real estate outside the US, with New Zealand and Tasmania being the two favorites. We shall now see what will happen.
Not sure how much benefit the us expats will find on those southern isles
They might just find their bolt holes become rat traps
The “best” minds the Anglo Empire can come up with are like the dead, from the Bruce Willis movie “The Sixth Sense”. As the little boy who sees the dead tells him “they believe what they want to believe”. Doing so shows someone dead from the neck up.
Once again, the scathing contemptuous label of Alexander Rodgers of “Aftershock” remains all one can think of to describe them: — “functioning morons”.
“functioning morons”
Sshh! Pamela, you are talking about the boss — “the elite” (Fr. les elus, the chosen) of Anglo Zio Capitalism.
I recall a particularly obnoxious comment by the not too bright Gen. Jack Keane on and alleged accident involving the Burevestnik on FOX News. He kept on repeating the Russia has an atrocious track record when it comes to military accidents.
But I was thinking, when was the last time the U.S. developed something that was actually cutting edge? It’s easy to have an average number of accidents when you play it safe. The silhouette of the F35 only looks marginally different from an F16 or F18. Developing a nuclear powered cruise missile is an order of magnitude more difficult. We tried to do that once and said, ‘too hard, not worth the effort’. Back in the days when we first built rockets to go to the moon and our first submarines, I believe that we had a few problems (and understandably so)
The US needs to worry more about the degredation of the society and infrastructure at home that what Russia is producing. US poverty, defense spending, homelessness, defense spending, 50 million unemployed , defense spending, medicare costs, endless defense spending. Defense spending is over 750 billion. US have bases they cannot find on a map and the children are hungry.
This does not mean the US defense industry is not developing weapons or hoping for a new war. Yet like all empires the rot begins at home and the defense budget is under increasing pressure. It is also believable that a large portion of the budget is for company profit and has little to do with defense. I did a short video on some of this here:
http://www.cowdisley.com/videos/Acostofwar2.mp4 or https://youtu.be/oThDPSV_YbY
Amerikastan is far ahead of Russia in knife fighting, unfortunately Russia just brought a pistol to the fight.
Well, actually it’s more like a machine gun and a RPG for a backup ;-)
‘knife fighting’ nah, they’d cut themselves badly. Besides, Russians don’t need guns, just throw a few Twinkies on the ground………..sit back, and watch the gong show!
Cheers, M
God. Wouldn’t Spike Milligan have had fun with this subject.
Gong show should have been goon show?
well, hopefully the CIA predictions are just as wrong about future world populations, as they were about Russia
Please excuse me for changing the subject back to the Burevestnik missile but IMO, Russia could perform a really convincing display of the military significance of the Burevestnik by announcing in advance a round-the-world test flight for the missile. For example, a northward launch from southern Russia could cross the north pole and fly southward, skirting the Pacific coast of North America and continuing southward, mostly over open ocean, cross the south pole and head northward again toward southern Russia. On it’s northward journey, it could either a) skirt the east coast of the U.S. or b) skirt the west coast of the European continent. I think such a public demonstration of the missile’s capabilities would have the so-called “free world” military forces shaking in their boots.
Great big populated countries don’t have to have a globalist economy to prosper. The industrial successes of the 19th century started out by building the power of their internal markets first. Then they expanded their global trade. That was true for Germany, the US,and Japan, during that period. While true Russia isn’t as populated as some countries. She has more people than Germany, and France,or Germany and the UK,put together. So there is plenty of growth space in her internal economy. And her connections outside the West are enormous markets to trade with once her internal market is developed. Where Russia has failed ,has been with overcoming the collapse of the USSR.With the horrible 1991-2005 period of disasters, the economic collapse, the internal strife ,corruption, gangsterism, and wars in the Caucasus.
In the early 1960’s it was estimated that the GDP of the USSR was about 63% of that of the US. Russia on the conservative side should have accounted for at least 35% of that 63%. Had Russia kept that rate, her GDP today would be over $7.5 trillion ,which would be about the GDP of the UK and Japan combined. instead of the $1.6 trillion she has now. Being able to take advantage of the oil boom during the early years of this century Russia has rebuilt her military to great power status. And with the sanctions from 2014 on she has mostly secured her food supply. But as the stats show she hasn’t rebuilt her industrial and consumer economy. Leaving herself still dependent on outsiders for consumer goods and essential technology for the country to function and grow. The level of corruption is still too high. At higher levels, while not at Ukrainian levels. Still she probably (outside of military needs) is at US or worse proportions. And at lower levels, certainly above US lower levels. Whatever the full terms of the agreement Putin made with the oligarchs in 1999 are, they need to be changed. The government and Russian society aren’t weak like they were then. And it’s past time the economy be given freedom to develop.
The banks need to start funding start-ups and stop the leaking of vast wealth overseas to wealthy oligarchs. Take Glasvev’s advise on building the economy. There is no acceptable excuse as to way with such a talented and educated population as Russia has they need to go abroad for technology. If there is one place that should have the best ,most modern, energy technology its Russia. And yet as we see Russia still must import energy technology. And why import foreign tractors for your farms. For goodness sake,Russia is a massive farming country. Build your own farming equipment, create technology, and jobs in Russia. Russia is said to be the 2nd largest car market in Europe. She should be first, but that’s another story. And yet a great many of those cars are imported.
Why are those oligarchs not forced to invest in businesses in Russia. The kind of businesses that actually make things. Not financial ones,or raw material companies that mostly are for export. Russians that go abroad are famous for the businesses or technology they create. And others using their talents fill sports teams worldwide.Using that talent to bring fame to other countries. Why are there not the opportunities for these Russian business and technology creators, and sportsmen and women to be able to stay in Russia and enrich Russia through their talents.
In a new age of Cold War for Russia to survive as a free ,united, sovereign Russia. Russia must address those problems. China has been able to do it. And no disrespect to the Chinese. But they are not more talented and educated than are Russians. What they do have is a government that was able to craft a system to allow for economic massive devolvement. And still keep the country stable, and the people patriotic. If Russia wants to look abroad for a model. Look to China and not the West.
Uncle Bob, your comment have always been excellent, so is this one. One point only, Russia has always had to deal with so called 5th column. While communist wasn’t as bad as it seems. Recovering from the loss of 15mln people resulting from 1905, WWI, and 1917 followed quickly by the loss of 40mln people in WWII takes a lot of effort. Someone wrote an article regarding the so called “Russian Mafia” throwing some numbers and pointing out that in reality it wasn’t ethnic Russian, except the fact that most of them spoke Russian. On the other hand, it is interesting that we tend to point out and criticize corruption in SU and Russia while we chose to keep silent about every body else’s. Please do not take me wrong, I am not criticizing your comment, because it points out the obvious, unfortunately. I am just making a comment about the commonly abound anti-Russian propaganda in the West. Russia has always been the scapegoat and the bad guy, the source of evil shall we say? Sort of like the saying: Russia has the name while others do the deeds. Okay Russia is not saint either, but.
Russia’s economy in tatters. Russia is involved in an endless quagmire in Syria they can never win.
The innocent Russian population more and more realise that this was not the government they wanted and expected.
Minorities are suppressed, BLM is organising riots, and the Rubble is going down the drain.
The Russia people had expected a little more freedom!
Instead they got more of the same, Gulag, KGB spying on everyone, daily cabbage soup, no whoppers as America have, sad and depressed music withour rock & roll, and 100 million Russians forced to wear wellies because Nike shoes, dark sun glasses, and Simpson are banned in the country.
More likely:
In the social sphere the USA will face reduction of its population which at the same time will become increasingly less healthy and will not be able to be the engine for economic advancement. The main thing however is that USA will partition into 6-8 separate states. The chief reason for this partition is the economic isolation and the secretive nature of the current state. Russia will be a top 10 World Economy before 2050. That is all I care to comment on this article.
Perfect Article. But compliments aside, it is all about priorities versus illusions and hubris. In the treasure trove of the scientific research that lasted till 1990, there are many marvels and not all have been destroyed – taken out of the country through various programs that financed the “selective transfer/theft of technology and scientists” that were in full swing in the 1991-2000 period. CRDF was one of such programs that financed these activities.
What about the first 13 Human Clones developed in the 1970s. Surely that research did not end. Weather modification was on equal standing with the US in the 1980s. The Human Genome was mapped much earlier than in the west, but smartly kept quiet about it.
There are many defensive weapons THAT are comparably affiordable and cannot be easily countered, as long the CORRUPTION does not make the development and fielding of such defensive systems too expensive as is the state of affairs in the West.
It are very troubled times ahead of all of us, but the future shines brightly for Russia.
