Dear friends,
Some of you have expressed concerns that this blog will become “for paying members only” or that comments will be “for registered users only”.
Let me put those fears to rest: IT AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN!! :-)
This blog will remain 100% free and anonymous commenting will not only be allowed, it will be encouraged. No need to worry about that. Donations to this blog will always remain 100% voluntary and optional.
One more thing: Amazon giftcard donations: I received several donations via Amazon yesterday, unfortunately there is no way for me to thank those who have donated except by giving Amazon and the donors my private email address and identity. So, I want to thank those who have donated here and apologize for not being able to do so in person.
I hope that I have reassured those who were worried about that.
Kind regards,
The Saker
Comrade Saker! Your existing blog is wonderful as it is.
If I happen to get at least some $$$ maybe at end of July, I donate you 50$.
Thank you for your excellent work :)
Thank you mr Saker for all your efforts for keeping this important blog working. Best regards from Stockholm, genosse ejnar

EU security plan, a must read.
Regards from the Philippines. My two priority news sources are RT and your blog.
Ah Saker,
I see you have unilaterally rejected capitalism.
Good on you mate :)

Good recommendations but implementation is very difficult. I believe it is nothing but hot air which the EU excels in, courtesy Imperial Hubris.

@Charles Mondeley: I see you have unilaterally rejected capitalism.
Reject it? Me?!
(the Saker gets on his biggest soap box)
Dude – I LOATHE it, I VOMIT it, I HATE it with all my mind, body and soul, I consider it to be a satanic ideology which is to our planet what a malignant tumor is to a healthy and beautiful body :-)
I am not opposed to private property nor am I against markets (as long as both are thoroughly controlled and regulated by the people) and I don’t believe that we can live in Communism, but I reject capitalism with everything I got. I place morals and principles above profit and I deeply believe in solidarity amongst humans. I believe in compassion, in giving, in self-sacrifice and in service of the community and of the higher good. Last but not least, I do not believe that the sum of all our greeds will built a healthy (nevermind sustainable) society on earth.

Kind regards my friend,
The Saker
Thank you, Saker. You are dooing a brilliant job.
You are a lighttower in the world of propaganda and endless lies and deceit. Thank you for your contribution. You make it possible for people to read important news about our situation in the world while maintaining our privacy.
Regards a Norwegian.
saker, you do not have to thank personally ,those who give do this for their own reason that this site serves a useful function of giving news and views different than main liar media.so acknowledgement in public like ehre shoudlbe sufficient -no need to write persoanlly to all those who contribute-that will save time for you.
just a small suggestion.
@23 June, 2014 16:30 …no need to write personally to all those who contribute
For me it is very important to know his personal reactions. It gives me an idea of the man’s honesty, beliefs and direction. Whereby he is involved as a human not just an pretentious “objective” reporter.
Saker,
“the Saker climbs down from his soap box, takes a deep breath, wipes off the sweat on his brow, takes another deep breath, and returns to normal business :-)”
You forgot to bow. ;~) You should have, you know. I am sure you have been roundly applauded in any case.
Who here doesn’t know the particular configuration of that Invisible Hand Of The Market?
I may as well post this comment here….
It’s for you, Saker
I seem to see similarities between the current Iraq “situation” and the current Ukraine “situation”.
In Ukraine the instigators (as I see it) are trying to suck in Russia into the imbroglio so that Russia will tied down into a very messy and dirty civil war. The propaganda opportunities for the instigators (US and others) are immense. The possibility of using the Russian intervention to drive splits in the emerging Eurasian Trade Zone and fracturing potential cooperation on the Eurasian area are a bonus. Divide and conquer.
In Iraq, the instigators (as I see it) are trying to suck in Iran into the imbroglio so that Iran will tied down into a very messy and dirty civil war. The propaganda opportunities for the instigators (US, Saudi and others) are immense. The possibility of using the Iranian intervention to consolidate the Sunni moderates (I assume there are some :)) into a more anti Iran stance and fracturing potential cooperation with various regional powers. Divide and conquer.
I think this article by Gary Engler is on-topic:
“I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse,” is one of the most famous lines in cinematic history. It is the set-up for the scene in Godfather where a big shot Hollywood producer wakes up with a bloody horse’s head in his bed.
In less than 10 words it also perfectly sums up how the rich and powerful get their way. Use of the tactic has certainly never been limited to Mafiosi.
In fact, countries possessing military might have made “offers they can’t refuse” all through history to less powerful nations or regions.
But today’s ultimate practitioners are giant corporations that dominate the world economy. The 0.1% wealthiest people on the planet use their control of these corporations to impose their will on the rest of us.
