Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah has announced increased benefits for his citizens (…): there will be extra funds for housing, studying abroad and social security, according to state television.
While
Saudi television reported that Bahrain’s King Hamad was also flying into Riyadh on Wednesday.
It looks like even the fattest of the fat cats is now getting fearful that the revolutionary tsunami might reach him: just imagine what Abdullah is thinking while watching the developments in Libya!
Frankly, I am not sure that what happened in Egypt is really ‘regime change’, but what is taking place in Libya is, I think, the real thing. The USraelian Empire had (and still has!) extremely powerful levers to influence the events in Egypt, but much less so in Libya, hence the possibly dramatically different outcome. Either way, I am absolutely amazed, baffled and totally caught off-guard about the power and scope of the Arab revolutionary tsunami which is taking place and having seen Mubarak fall and now watching the Gaddafi regime probably collapse, I begin to wonder: could it really be that the abominable House of Saud to finally go where it deserves to go: the trash heaps of history?
God willing!
According to Saudiwoman there is potential for revolution in that country.

If there’s one regime I’d love to see disappear its the House of Saud. They’re behind most of this Wahabist terrorism. Even Israel is benign in comparison.

I actually agree. I have come to then conclusion that Wahabism is even WORSE then what the US/Israeli/Zionist propaganda says about it (if only because Wahabism is a de-facto asset to the USraelian Empire).
I have also come to a conclusion which is diametrically opposed to everything I usually believe in, or am inclined to: I don’t believe in negotiations with Wahabi *terrorists* as they are absolutely beyond hope or reform. I am not referring to the people who believe in the Wahabi interpretation of Islam, those I would definitely speak to, if only to try to wake them up. But the armed Wahabis who kill and terrorize I would offer exactly what Medvedev: surrender or death. I don’t think that there is any other movement on the planet I would say that about. So yes, I agree, they are the worst of the worst, the craziest of the crazies, the most evil of the most evil.
Dear Saker,
There is Hope….
The Arab revolt has spread to Arabia [we’re dropping the descriptor “Saudi” since that will, in the near future, no longer be the name of the country currently known as “Saudi Arabia.”] 22 Feb 2011 — Some 100 youth took to the streets of Hafar Al Batin, calling for the end of the Saudi regime. Hafar Al Batin is a city in northeast Arabia. The Crypto-Zionist Saudi regime, through media propaganda, has devoted attention to the return of King Abdullah II after his recent surgery in Morocco. Arabians are infuriated about the lack of government response to the floods in Jeddah and the fact that Abdullah did not do anything about the damage caused by the floods. On the eve of Abdullah’s return, Arabians took to the streets calling on Abdullah not to return, chanting “we don’t need you.” No news agency has covered the Arabian protests, except Islah TV, which has confirmed the news. People in Arabia now say “Enough is Enough.” We are told there will be a big uprising in the coming days in Arabia. Islamic Ummah Party calls for reforms. Opposition says Sauds are not the only ones who have right to rule the country….
Abdullah welcomed to Riyadh by Bahrain King Hamad….
Cheers,
Joe
No chance of a Saudi revolution.
1) They will claim “Al Qaeda” will seize the kingdom and Saudi oil fields.
2) Saudi businessmen and ruling monarchy have billions invested in US and UK economies as well as buying billions in UK and US weapons.
3) Through there finance of terrorism internationally which there was a Saudi conference in the Marriot hotel in France in 94/95 agreement to finance and promote terrorism internationally on behalf of British/US interests.
4) Long time asset of the CIA/MI6 who will intervene if something happens in the Kingdom.
@VINEYARDSAKER:
In regards to Wahabism and Saudi Arabia read the 9/11 lawsuit.

There is another one that directly targets and lists Saudi financial backing for Islamic terrorism but I forget which one it is again.
Although Wahabism is the main ideology of Islamic terrorism it is neither the only variation of Islam or Saudi Arabia being the only state to finance and sponsor Islamic terrorism.
The problem is the core belief of Islam itself that permits “defensive jihad” which means were Muslims fight anywhere in the world against non-Muslims it is sanctioned for Muslims around the world to support them. That’s why US/NATO foreign policy has been pro-Islamic.
Saudis finance Wahabi mosques in Kosovo
Ahmad al-Omran, who runs the popular Saudi Jeans blog, said on Twitter that the measures would benefit many people, but were equivalent to fighting the symptoms and ignoring the disease.
“People don’t revolt because they are hungry. People revolt because they want their dignity, because they want to govern themselves. Money won’t solve our issues. We need true political and social reform. We need freedom, justice and dignity.”
Although I do not personally feel hopeful that there is a revolution evolving here, as the people appear to be asleep. Time will eventually tell if I am wrong or right….
