A few people asked me if there’s any reason to hope for France to get better. This is my 2 cents worth.
I might shock you by commenting that as things stand, France is in a much better situation that the US.
Let’s start with a nice fun slice of reality, a pleasant truth.
Here’s a 1 minute Youtube of Dieudonné, the humorist, at the Zenith hall in Strasbourg on Feb. 13 where 17,000 people paid about $45 a seat. His tours are a major success and halls usually sell out all the seats. The French government and the Zionist pressure groups such as CRIF have tried to get rid of him for almost 13 years, banishing him from TV, banning shows under the dictatorial power of the Conseil d’État even after courts said it was okay, pursuing him in courts on bogus charges, etc. At his lowest, having been banned from TV in 2003 as an “antisemite”, and with even his private shows cancelled, he was reduced to giving performances to 40 or 50 people at a time on a rented bus. Back then, Gilad Atzmon, an exIsraeli, helped defend Dieudonné against the bogus charge of “antisemite”, and in the years since, he worked his way back up to become by far the most popular comedian in France. His success proves what Regis Debray once said, « Interdire, c’est répandre. » To forbid is to spread.
“Dieudonné In Peace” is the name of his latest performance and tour. In that Youtube, he notes that the day before, the Minister of Culture got booed. He also says there will be a change of government, referring to the April/May 2017 elections. Dieudonné can rightfully claim that people watch his Youtube videos more than they watch French corporate media TV “news.”
Alain Soral, a dissident leader but not a humorist, put up a Youtube saying the November 13 attack n Paris was likely a false flag. 900,000 people have seen it in 3 months. His publishing house, Kontre Kulture, (link: http://www.kontrekulture.com). All 176 of the Kontre Kulture books are in French, although 28 are available in other languages from other publishers. So these dissidents are well-known and thriving, but only in France.
Let’s look at the larger picture in France.
The state persecution of Dieudonné, Soral, and a dozen others shows that there is no freedom of speech in France. Not theoretically, but in fact. And that was before the government passed the French version of America’s “Patriot” Act. The velvet glove is gone and the French public now see the iron fist. They are drawing conclusions about the nature of the society they live in, about their rulers, and about what they need to do in response. I have to note that that the loss of freedoms in France is not so different as elsewhere in the states of the empire. Latvia, a NATO ally, is changing their constitution so that merely talking to a foreign news reporter will cost 3 years in prison on the first offense. Erdogan’s Turkey, another NATO “ally”, just pulled the plug on Zaman News and its 650,000 readers, the largest English-language news outlet in Turkey. Zama showed how the Turkish secret service, the MIT, was supplying weapons to ISIS, so Zaman is being shut down for “espionage.”
One thing above all else is required to make sense of all this. It’s absolutely essential to consider the sense of scale. Without that, nothing makes sense, but with it, all the disconnected “dots” form a coherent picture.
What’s at stake is not small policy adjustments the citizens want from their government, but something much larger. In France, it’s a contest for ownership of the nation, and both sides know it. There are still clueless people in the middle of course, but the pool of ignorance is shrinking. If the dissidents win, the elite will have to negotiate with the people for the first time since 1789, and citizens will have recovered some of their sovereignty. They want to get get back to having the prosperous republic of the “Glorious Thirty”, the 1945-1975 era before the French National Bank was given over to Rothschild control and private interest siphoned off the public wealth. (Not an exaggeration: Pompidou was a director of Banc Rothschild before he became French President in 1969 and changed the National Bank.)
If the dissidents lose, it’s prison for anyone who dares to speak out; the legal precedence is being set. So this is epic. It’s pointless to say things like “we are only partway through Act 1,” because there’s no telling how many acts this play will have.
In the long term, I’m pretty sure the French people will win, and the dissidents will have played a crucial role. My optimism is based on fundamentals. On one side of the contest are the truth, the facts, human values and a better future. ON the other side are whopping big lies, censorship, subjugation and subservience , and a dismal future. It’s the masses of the people versus a small elite. This epic battle is also going on in other nations, but among the discontent European vassals of the empire, France is further along in its rebellion.
The American superstar economist, Michael Hudson, gave an extremely cogent description of the stakes in this interview, (your choice of transcript or audio): http://michael-hudson.com/2016/02/the-commanding-heights/ Yes, Hudson is a superstar; he filled a stadium in Italy and the 77 year-old with suspenders isn’t a rock star.
This is a serious fight; since 2012, it has become more out in the open, and that’s why I’m optimistic. This debate is 102 years overdue, since that’s when the French “Socialist” Party stopped being socialist, and except for the Moscow-dominated French Commies, there was no opposition to the French elites. Since they came to power in 2012, the “Socialist” politicians have become incredibly arrogant and don’t even bother with “code words” or fig leaves anymore. Lots of people, myself included, would like to know if due to it’s arrogance, overconfidence … or desperation. Prime Minister Valls said with tremendous anger that Dieudonné “must be put to death” and a minute later he added “put … to a social death.” That’s extremely polarizing language to use against a peaceful and congenial comedian. Madame Taubira, who recently resigned as Justice Minister, is African-French, from the French Caribbean. On TV, she said the slave trade was no big deal, just “forced labor” and implied the slaves were better off as slaves than, you know, running around free in Africa. It’s clear that this government will be swept away in May, 2017. But when you realize that Taubira just got promoted to a seat on the High Court, you can see this will be a long and hard-fought war.
Like any epic battle, it’s about the material conditions of life as much as freedom of speech. The French used to say their heart’s on the left and their wallet is on the right. But now, their wallets are being hit and that’s a game-changer. Stealing from the lower classes was standard for a long time, but at least two things have changed. One is that the economic system is itself morbidly dysfunctional, and now with the internet the dysfunctionality is widely known and explained. The culprits are known and have names.
Another part of the picture in France specifically, are the sanctions. US-imposed sanctions against Russian are wrecking havoc on Main Street France. In response, Russia has been forced to impose its own counter-sanctions. French farmers were selling 4 billion euros a year of produce to Russia, and that’s completely stopped. The resultant oversupply means that French produce prices are in free-fall and the real damage to the farmers is about 10 billion Euros. Farmers are going broke and becoming desperate. On a weekly basis, farmers are blocking highways in protest. The agriculture minister offered some 0.4 billion Euros in relief, so it’s a 1/10 th of a band-aid at best, and otherwise he just ignores the farmers.
Shipyards and the aerospace industry have lost customers because of these sanctions, but in reality they have lost their future markets. When Paris cancelled the sale of two custom-made warships for Russia, high-tech customers worldwide were warned off from buying French hightech products because France became an unreliable vendor. No buyer ever wants to worry about being able to get spare parts and service in the years to come. India had agreed to buy 124 of France’s latest model jet fighter for 15 billion Euros, but India cancelled the purchase. Soon after, India announced a large purchase of Russian planes in a co-production deal. India later agreed to buy a token 12 French warplanes, but the damage was done and everyone knows it. When the dissidents explain that Washington and Israel plan to turn Europe into second-tier economies, the French understand it’s no exaggeration, and that they are the victims. The larger picture is that the empire sees a unified Eurasia market and 1.5 billion people as a colossus that threatens the empire – so it must be broken up. That means Europe’s best and most competitive industries must be made uncompetitive, and that economic ties between Europe and Russia must be permanently broken up. That was the point of Washington’s imposition of sanctions on their vassals in Europe. Among the French managerial class, the true purpose of the sanctions is well understood. But it can career-ending to admit to knowing the truth. It’s a common phenomenon seen in other cultures, at other times in history. It’s just a matter of time before the obvious also becomes mentionable “in respectable circles.” When this truth finally becomes mentionable, it will go viral. And, it will have consequences that people have not yet considered … As a culture, the French are bigger on revenge than, say, the Italians. Come 2017, the French will taste some of that revenge. You will not see any of this in the 100% controlled media, but most people in France have some awareness of it by now. Also dimly recognizable in the fog of the information war, is that Russia and China want a strong and independent European industry as part of a huge “Lisbon to Shanghai” common market. The Russian side is getting its message out fairly well, I think, with many French language media sites. French and Russian cooperation has a long history. That friendship survived Napoleon’s invasion, after all.
Back to the big picture. A big U-turn seems to be in the works, but it’s important to recognize this is a short-term U-turn. What U-turn, you ask ?
Many of the most influential individuals behind the Empire, like Soros and Kissinger, are calling for dumping the sanctions against Russia, saying openly that the economic havoc is going to cause the fall of the French and German governments in the next elections. Fixing the damage from the sanctions can’t wait until the last minute. You can hear tires screeching on the pavement with the recent abrupt U-turn by Jean-Claude Juncker. The President of the European Commission (the power behind the European Council; both EC’s being the real but unelected EU power) that Ukraine won’t become an EU member for 20-25 years. Another analogy: it’s a bucket of ice-cold water on the Kiev Nazis. Europe will probably start to remove its sanctions as early as June, but that’s probably already too late to swing the elections. And … Russia is in no hurry to get rid of its counter-sanctions because the European sanctions were actually an opportunity for Russia to rebuild its industry with autarky – just like Iran did. Russia has said it won’t ask for the sanctions to be lifted, but after they are, then Russia will, on its own schedule of course, remove its counter-sanctions. It’s a standard principle that when the other side makes a serious error, you aren’t in a rush to help get them out of the mess they created.
Why the U-turn on the sanctions and Ukraine’s drive to join the EU ? It’s damage control in the face of at least two large failures.
First and most immediately, is to recognize the failure of the Ukraine gamble. American neocons gambled they could overthrow Ukraine’s elected government and then turn that nation of 43 million people into an instrument to threaten Russia, but the gamble has proven to be a colossal failure. Neocons in the US State Department expected the Nazis (real Nazis, Banderistas with an unbroken heritage from the massacres of the 1940’s) and the kleptocratic oligarchs to be puppets o a US leash while the US looted the place. After two years, Ukraine is bankrupt and on the verge of a humanitarian disaster. The military aggression against eastern Ukraine was defeated in the “cauldrons” of Ilovaisk (9/2014) and Debaltsevo (2/2015). In short, the failure of the Ukraine gamble is reason enough for the U turn.
But wait … there’s more ! The European Union itself is in a slow-motion economic collapse, and has been since 2008. Explaining that economic collapse would take far more space and time than we have here. Let me just note the essential point that this collapse has no quick solutions, and any real solution would require great changes in the world.
So the empire needs a U-turn. It needs to buy time to re-think its strategies, time to get its puppets reelected in the US (9-2016), France (5-2017), and Germany (fall 2017), and it needs time to continue its headlong flight (fuite en avance says it more precisely, and the highbrow English newspapers often use this French phrase.) There is no “fix” in sight for this crisis, anywhere on earth, but the empire is still able to buy time.
So we have to look beyond the U-turn and what’s coming up post 2017.
In France, the dissidents seem to be following the basic rules for building a resistance movement. While they have their “super stars”, they are also encouraging new leaders who can replace them, if the need arises. They are calling for people to have courage, and the people are responding. As I said, the government’s attempt to get rid of the dissident leaders has shown all the French people the iron fist under the velvet glove, and that is radicalizing the public. The regional branches of the dissidents have intelligent leaders and in the videos of the forums, you typically see a room of around 200 serious people who are in their 20’s and 30’s.
An American who is familiar with France and the dissidents cautioned me that my optimism isn’t warranted. In the short run of a few years, his caution is certainly accurate. But the longer run may be a different picture. When the US government went into WW2, it quickly realized it could not win a short war, so it prepared for a long war. Something similar is starting up in France. After years on the receiving end of state power and elite domination, they understand what they are up against. That’s why they are far ahead of Americans who don’t have a thriving dissident movement and who still hope against hope that some sort of “win” in the next election will make a big difference. The French know better than that.
Here’s what we know right now. The dissidents number perhaps 300,000 in a nation of 60 million, and the dissidents do not have an outlet in any political party. All the parties which pretend to be “on the left” are warmongers, on record as favoring all the wars of empire, including Libya, Syria, and former colonies you may not have heard of. The dissidents had a dalliance with the FN for many years. JeanMarie Le Pen, the founder of the FN back in the 1950’s, is the godfather of Dieudonné’s children. The 87 year-old man makes regular appearances on E&R, the main dissident site (http://www.egaliteetreconciliation.fr/). The dissidents pulled the plug on the FN, because Marine Le Pen, the new leader came to a strategic conclusion that the FN could only win the elections if the FN made accommodations with Israel. So she did the obligatory trip to Tel Aviv with all the kow-towing. That was more than the dissidents could accept, so they have taken a well-calculated distance from the new FN.
Overall, the dissidents are still at the stage of de-legitimizing the French establishment, and in that arena, they are successful. It’s the standard Gramsci prescription for the left. The problem, as always throughout history, is how to extend this success into a wider arena.
The dissidents are thorough in their work of de-legitimizing the elites. Ten billionaires own the mass media. Since before WW1, France has had a super-wealthy elite, and they are few in number. Collectively, the 60,000 Jewish supremacists in CRIF (Conseil Représentatif des Institutions juives de France) count as part of the ruling elite. Some of the Jews in CRIF count as individual oligarchs, too. The dissidents are careful to not target the 540,000 “everyday Jews” (Juifs quotidiens). When members of the JDL (Jewish Defense League, banned in the US and in Israel, but not in France) killed a French Arab for mere sport, and the ghettoes were on fire with angry mobs, the dissidents made the point of interviewing a French rabbi in his office, who went on record as saying this killing was not condoned nor supported by the Jewish community.
Something that surprised me, is that the dissidents also point the finger at the very top layer, the 33rd Degree, of the Freemasons. In the US, it seemed like only kooks mention the Freemasons. French dissidents have shown their evidence. Freemasonry has always been strongly anti-clerical. In 1738, a Papal encyclical banned Freemasonry but in France the Parliament refused to pass the law – because a majority of delegates were already Masons. Masonry and the “nobility of the robe” (judicial and other government offices became hereditary and a source of corrupt wealth) were shadowy forces behind the French Revolution. A hundred years later, Jules Ferry personified Masonic power; he was fiercely anticlerical. Ferry organized the colonial exploitation of North Africa so his claim to humanism is yet another lie. Parochial schools had been the norm, but as head of the Senate, Ferry passed a law to replace them with pubic schools, smashing the power of the local Catholic parishes. That was in the late 1800’s. More recently, the head of security for Sarkozy and his “minister without portfolio” (meaning he was superior to the other ministers because his portfolio included theirs as well), was also the head of one of the two big Masonic lodges in France. Wearing those two hats of government minister and head of a secret society is remarkable, and it’s remarkable that only the corporate French media never took notice of it.
In France in particular, there is also a religious angle. The Catholic church and Christianity in general, is under attack in many ways. Marriage is one of the seven Christian sacraments, and gay marriage is an attack on it. In 1992, there was a big conference that included the political parties, the French bishops, and even Alain Soral. Absolutely everybody was there and with only one exception, everyone wanted civil unions for gays to be legalized immediately. The lone holdout was the “Socialist” party. The “Socialists” need a carrot, even a fake orange plastic carrot, to put in front of the donkey. This Party hasn’t been socialist, hasn’t offered any socialist takeover of industries, etc.,since the murder of Jean Jaurès on the eve of WW1. The Party does not offer anything on the economic front for its followers so it desperately needs “social issues” that don’t touch the power of the banksters. In fact the capitalists fully support these “social issues,” with the billionaire media oligarch, Pierre Bergé, as a poster child.
So what about the upcoming French elections ?
1. The “Socialist” government doesn’t have a chance to win the elections in April and May of 2017, based on all the polls. The more likely winner will be the Front National, the FN, and that would be something of a game-changer. Or it could be business as usual, with the UMP, rebranded in 2015 as Les Républicains, forming the new government.
While looking for the latest poll numbers, I saw this on a mainstream and thus anti-FN media site, from Dec. 2015. It quotes an Ipsos poll, also a mainstream outfit. The older the voters, the less they like the FN. 35% of 18-24 year-olds would vote for the FN, followed by 29% for the right and center parties, and only 21% for the “Socialists”.
The FN, the first party of France … among the youth (Le FN, premier parti de France… chez les jeunes)
http://www.franceinfo.fr/actu/politique/article/le-fn-premier-parti-de-france-chez-les-jeunes-750209
Come election time, the real issue will be to get the supporters of either establishment parties out to vote. Abstention in the spring, 2014 nation-wide municipal elections and for the French delegation to the European Parliament showed record low levels of turnout. Voters showed their great displeasure with the PS, but were also unhappy with the other parties.
There is one similarity between France and the US. Things are shaping up as establishment versus the people. Here, the Republicrat apparatchiks are closing ranks to defeat Sanders or Trump. In France the UMPS Alternation already closed ranks to defeat the FN.
At the December 6, 2015 Regional elections, the FN was widely expected to win in at least two regions, but in fact the FN didn’t take a single one because on the second round of elections, the “right” and the “left” closed ranks to prevent it. That’s one lesson for the French, but it also gave us two other lessons. One is that the FN can’t yet win, even in their regional strongholds, so triumphalism would be greatly out of place. The other, though, is that the FN has once again increased its percentage of the overall vote, and this was fairly dramatic since European allegiances change slowly.
Conceivably, the right wing party could become more independent. Sarkozy, the CIA-raised agent, the former President of France, currently leads Les Républicains. However, he faces a primary election in November, 2016, and I believe he could lose the party leadership. Sarko L’Americain, as he’s called, isn’t too popular, in part because he’s seen as an American pawn, partly because his economic policies hurt France, and the economy iis why voters kicked him out in 2012. As President, his notoriously thin skin and short height made him the butt of jokes and he responded poorly, even threatening to arrest the jokers. So there should be – but maybe won’t be – a battle inside the UMP to get a better candidate.
For the last 20-30 years, there has been what they call an “Alternation” between the PS ( “Socialist” Party) and the UMP, so the dissidents call it the UMPS, like the American duopoly, the Republicrats. I started to hope that either the UDI or the MoDem’s (centrist-right parties) might emerge because some of their leading people dissed the sanctions against Russia and were advocating that France have an independent foreign policy, not make in Washington. Unfortunately, they haven’t pulled ahead of the pack. THe UDI is the only one with enough popularity and that’s not much. The UDI has 29 out of 577 Deputies in the Parliament but a better showing in the Senate with 43 out of 348 Senators. The Greens, the EELV, have exactly 10 Deputies, and the EELV is very lame; it’s a long and sad story. No other party even has 10 Deputies, although the English leftie media is clogged with stories about nearly non-existent parties, such as Melenchon’s “Left Party” (Parti de Gauche, PG) with zero Deputies.
That’s about all I have to say.
Cosimo A.
i would welcome more of the same sitrep france in english
on a regular basis.
its very informative but i’ll have to get my
head around the various political parties somehow.
but without this kind of sitrep i would have no chance.
as an aside, the saker site focused on ukraine when it
mattered and now syria when it matters, in the russian context,
but at its base its a class war so every country is crucial.
if only intrernational cooperation at grass roots level
could really be effective.
very clear
very clear.
I like a good conspiracy theory myself, but the script on here and with other the self proclaimed internet anti establishment radicals is that if you don’t understand an action/issue then you simply proclaim it a false flag. Biggest cop out ever. Perhaps The Saker is a CIA run website to keep all the radicals busy and away from the real world ;-)
Doubter projects onto others his or her own state of mind, which is to duck a real struggle against the Empire. Following Cosimo’s detailed description of the situation in France, a real effort to depict the real psychological, economic, political real world there, Doubter offers no specific counter arguments regarding the situation in France and no competing view to Cosimo’s whatsoever, except a smug, self-satisfied stance of sitting on his or her hands and criticizing an entire community that does put forward various different perspectives that can actually be argued, as occurs constantly and vigorously every single day.
Doubter leaves nothing to argue by way of any depiction of the “real world” others here are said to be fleeing from. An absurd and impotent post, IMHO.
Agree with you Ted. The doubter is projecting, at best. When has this site ever called everything a “false flag”? “Self proclaimed internet anti establishment radicals”? This site is unique and isn’t “self-proclaimed” anything, any attempts to pigeon hole it into a category is bound to fail.
The doubters always come out of the woodwork when the truth hits too close to home.
Thank you Cosimo A – I enjoyed reading your article. It was interesting today the students came out on the streets in protest:

A good sign, the elites must remember the French Revolution…….

Only sheep could take the 11/13/15 Bataclan incident for a bona fide terror attack.
But Soral and many others miss the point when naming it a “false flag”.
Yes, in a way, it was also a false flag attack, but the main thing is that, just like 9/11, it was a scripted and staged event where no one died. It was fake. It was a hoax. And very obviously so. It was crying Hoax! in big red letters all over it. It’s been done so many times now and people still don’t get it.
There are real terror attacks, where the perps murder foreign nationals, as in the signature date 3/24/15 terror attack on GermanWings 9525 (ridiculously blamed on a suicidal copilot) to send a deep message to Merkel (probably with regard to the Ukraine crisis and her Kremlin initiative), or as in the 10/31/15 Halloween terror attack on Kogalymavia/Metrojet 9268 to send a deep message to Putin (certainly with regard to the war in Syria and the very effective Russian Air Force deployment), or as countless attacks in Iraq (to destroy the country), or as the recent attacks in Turkey (to send a deep message to Erdogan as to what he is in for if he continues to disobey).
And there are fake terror attacks, such as the Boston marathon, Sandy Hook, or those mentioned above, where actors, special effects and 100 % Zionist controlled media are used to hoax the public, but where no one is killed.
If you don’t understand this difference, then will you forever be searching for the 9/11 or Bataclan false flag terrorists, be looking for something that doesn’t exist … because you haven’t understood what happened in the first place.
Try to understand that it is much safer for the perps to fake the terror rather than to put their own ass on the line as the organizers of mass murder of their own sheeple, and risk to face the consequences in one form or another because there will be people out there who may want to take revenge. There is no blowback whatsoever to fear from any 9/11 or Bataclan loved ones, simply because there were no victims.
By the way, it’s fuite en avant, not en avance.
I hear that stuff all the time. And not a “thread” of evidence to prove one bit of it. To say that no one died in those events is totally foolish. And instantly negates the comment. It brands it as irrelevant as the previous claim by the poster that nuclear weapons don’t really exist and function . A better case could be made on who perpetrated those events. And whose interests they serve. But trying to dismiss them as not true has zero basis in fact.
Speaking of theoretically non existant nukes, Thierry Meyssan’s latest is quite disturbing. Apparently the Saudis have tactical nukes, provided by Israel or Pakistan.
The Nuclear Near East!

Last paragraph says Rouhani has failed to re-establish Iran as the US enforcer in the region, confirming the fears of many concerning Iran’s no show in Syria and possibly explaing unconfirmed reports Russia has again stopped delivery of S300’s.
Can you provide unassailable truth that all of those events where real? Provide it for Sandy Hook, only. Conjecture is conjecture no matter which side of the line it comes from.
I don’t reject that “false-flag” attacks take place. But that isn’t the same as “false” attacks. In events like 9/11 and Paris faking the attacks are too hard for anyone to do (and keep it believable). With Sandy Hook,I’m not sure. Though I’m inclined to believe it. Maybe not the whole story as the regime portrays it. But I don’t see what they would gain by trying to fully fake an event like that. With false flags they gain something. But when they gain nothing by faking events (even if that was possible) then I doubt they did. I’d turn your question around. Where is the proof it didn’t happen. I have my own theories about 9/11. I don’t doubt at all that it happened, even if not all aspects of it. I think the regime knew about it before hand. And if they didn’t help with it (which they very well may have) they did nothing to prevent it. They gained a lot from that event. The same with Paris. They gained a lot from it. And I don’t doubt they knew about it before, and maybe even carried it out themselves. But as I said, there is a big difference between a “false-flag” and a “fake”.
A fake event has the obvious advantage of not having messy relatives or people with a conscience getting in the way. If someone offered you $10,000 to appear in a movie where there was fake violence or the same money to appear where people were actually killed, which would be easier for you to accept? And, for those of a religious or spiritual nature, it does seem that the darker bad guys worship the Lie. It is at the heart of what they are. So, the more deception, the better.
The other advantage is that a 100% staged event with actors is under better control. Let’s say you plan a “real” event with gun violence and victims. An off-duty cop or security guard might mess things up and stop it – or perhaps someone who is supposed to die might survive his wounds. This actually happened near Portland, Oregon a few years ago. That forced the PTB to clamp down on the story as the whole idea that the answer to bad people with guns is good people with guns is so destructive to their agenda.
This isn’t to say that 9/11 had no victims. I think it was like a movie, and scripted, but clearly many people were killed. However, if I were planning something like 9/11, I would set up fake groups in advance. Things like “Flight Attendants for 9/11 Truth” or “Structural Engineers for a 9/11 Investigation” or “Relatives of 9/11 Victims”. You have to control all sides of debates – and they do. And the masses are brainwashed or even brain dead to the point of believing the TV, so it is a piece of cake. “Let’s roll.”
If we were talking about one or two, maybe even a dozen people I might agree with you. But to pull off operations like that it would take dozens, maybe tens of dozens. And I’m sure you’ve heard the old truism “two can keep a secret ,if one’s dead”. We give too much credit to their abilities. They tried the false flag in Syria, and it quickly was exposed. They tried the false flag of MH17,and it has failed them. And those were far away where it would be easier to run a fake. And wouldn’t need many Westerners to be involved. In the heart of the West. With dozens or hundreds needing to be involved,it just wouldn’t work for them to pull off a fake. A false flag event, yes that might be possible to pull off. But not a fake event.I really don’t even see the need for some to believe these events were faked. The fact that they were probably helped, maybe even plotted and planned by the regime is more than enough to show their evil. And those unlike a fake event were actually possible for them to carry out.
The entire military, intelligence, and security services are based on compartmentalization and secrecy. Talking leads to long prison sentences, besides being treason, and people take their secrets to their graves, as they are supposed to. And not even their wives are going to know. If you don’t like that kind of situation, you have no business being in that world. How many talked about the Manhattan Project? There were over 100,000 people involved, right? And there is a tremendous amount we don’t know about things like WWII. Secrets can last forever. How close were the Japanese to having nukes? How many, if any, nuclear tests did they perform? Why did they let Okinawa be destroyed just to stall for a bit of time? What deals were cut between America and various top Nazis before the end of the war? The questions go on and on. We’re still waiting for someone to talk.
Next, fake events are useful in so many ways. There have been fairly serious reports of studios filming scenes in Qatar for use on TV as having been from Libya or Syria. No problem, when you control the media narrative. For what it is worth, the head of Russia’s joint chiefs just gave a presentation where he talked about hybrid war and the importance of understanding that an infowar attack claiming some lie to be true can be more powerful than an actual physical attack. Russia needs to up her game on the infowar, and that includes the ability to respond to lies and staged events that are presented as true. At least that was his conclusion.
If a false claim of a chemical attack done by the SAA failed in Syria whereas a bogus claim of a bunch of students dying in Sandy Hook succeeded, that is just proof that Syrians are less brainwashed than Americans. It also shows that the operators trying to pull off the event in Syria waited too long, and were just hoping to provide a flimsy excuse for their lobby in DC to do its job. Fortunately, they failed. Anyway, a false flag is separate from a fake event. Fake events are more likely to be at home in situations totally controlled by the authorities. Many of them seem to be drills that are then claimed to have been real.
Those are apples and oranges arguments. The things in the war were regular intelligence operations. The type of thing done around the World. The other is mass deliberate slaughter of your own people. That is a whole other thing. Way too many people outside would know about it to keep it quiet for long. Plus there is a good chance many would outright refuse to go along with it. You and some others give the empire way too much credit. They are ruthless, but not intelligent enough to do the impossible. And if you’ve ever trusted people with personal secrets. Not even horrible monstrous secrets like we are talking of. You’d know that people can’t keep those kinds of secrets, they just can’t. Someone always talks, its human nature.
If you really think people in agencies like the FSB, CIA, MI6, RAW, and places like RAND or Tavistock are not seriously intelligent, you are underestimating the scope of the problem we commoners face. Sure, they made connections and often went to the “right” school, but stupid they ain’t. They outclass the masses by a mile. Just because they put a lightweight, such as Sarkozy or Bush II, as a frontman, don’t forget that those are merely frontmen. As Mark Sleboda said a day or two ago on Twitter, “The US government is full of incompetents, but the military and security services are world class.” In the context of this post, France has been taken over if not taken down by these guys. Were they stupid and incompetent, or were the masses in France?
The Empire is overstretched and the home economy is in trouble, but we should be careful of their brains, trickery, and cunning. And that includes their big PR events.
I wish it were true that large numbers of people can’t keep a secret, so therefore only small-scale secret operations are possible. But the true is the opposite. Large scale secrets are kept. And not just by organizations of secret agents, but by nearly ordinary people.
The “poster child” of how large-scale deceptions work is Pearl Harbor.
Pearl Harbor was on a large-scale, a deception known to perhaps a thousand ordinary Americans who should have been motivated to tell the truth – but never did. In fact, the US government knew everything worth knowing about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. That attack was real, the American dead were very real but there were two secrets.
1. The US government did all it could to force the Japanese government to the attack. It was FDR”s way to get the US into WW2. Japan, Germany and Italy signed a treaty in October 1940, that an attack on one was an attack on all. So if Japan was at war with the US, then the US would also be at war with Germany. At the time, polls showed 75% of the US public didn’t want any part of WW2. A week after the treaty, US Naval Lt. Commander Robert McCollum wrote his famous “Eight Point” memo to FDR, the US president. The “Eight Points” were intended to force Japan to attack the US. The memo was a well-kept secret.
2. The more obvious secret was that the US knew everything about the Japanese attack because it read their radio messages like an open book. Even today, the 3,600 messages from April to December of 1941 are still secret. This secret of American knowledge endured for 57 years, until 1999 when Robert Stinnett published his book, “Day of Deceit, The Truth About FDR and Pearl Harbor”. In fact, US Naval Intelligence decoded the Japanese Navy codes in real time and had broken JN-25 in April, 1941, in a top-secret operation probably originally only known to about 20 people. But the circle of knowledge got larger. When FDR told Admiral James O. Richardson, Commander in Chief, United States Pacific Fleet, about his plan to have the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor, there was an intense argument. White House staffers said they could hear the yelling all the way down the hall. Richardson was fired. So the circle of “those in the know” got larger. When FDR offered this “plum” job, the second-highest in the Navy, to the next-in-line-for-promotion officers, 20 or 40 of them all turned it down one after another, until FDR finally got down to Husband E. Kimmel, a nobody and an unwitting patsy. Kimmel was not even an Admiral, and FDR only made him a “Temporary Admiral”. WIkipedia is whitewashed and pretends Kimmel fell out of a cloud. The truth is here: http://digitallibrary.usc.edu/cdm/ref/collection/p15799coll12/id/20688 Let me summarize: 1933-34, Kimmel commanded the USS New York (BB-34), a battleship. 1934-35 he was Chief Of Staff to the Commander of Battleships. 1935-38, he was a Budget Officer. 1938-39, he was Commander of Cruiser Division Seven. June 1938, he became Commander Cruisers, Battleforce, with additional duty as Commander of Cruiser Division Nine. So his career was many steps below the exalted “Commander in Chief, United States Pacific Fleet”. Kimmel was not even an Admiral when FDR put him in charge of the US Navy in the Pacific with the rank of “Temporary Admiral”, a truly odd-ball title. Notice this: the 20 or 40 highest-ranking Navy officers all turned down this promotion, which means they all knew enough about the upcoming Pearl Harbor attack to know they didn’t want the job. They never spilled the beans. In the 1980’s, when Robert Stinnett started doing research for his book, he knocked on the doors of retired US Navy radio intercept operators who had intercepted many hundreds of messages from the Japanese attack fleet as they “sneaked up” on Pearl Harbor. These sailors had all been threatened by the Navy to never reveal anything, not even to US Congressional investigators, but by the 1980’s they were so old and some had died, that they were no longer afraid of the government, and wanted to tell the truth. Stinnett videotaped them, and they had even kept copies of some of the intercepted messages. The US Navy had a chain of four intercept stations with massive antenna “farms”, from Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands all the way down to the Panama Canal, and all these stations picked up the Japanese Naval messages. So that’s easily 50 to 100 men who knew. British intelligence had also intercepted the attack fleet messages, and so did the Dutch from stations much further away, in Indonesia.
After the attack, Congress did two “investigations”, in 1942 and 1946, which only muddied the water even more. In his book, Stinnett shows that as late as 1977, documents were still being stolen from the US Archive Office, to continue the cover-up. Those thefts were felonies, but of course no one investigated.
The other thing to say about the fraud of Pearl Harbor is that it was used as “the” foundation for the US military re-armament for the Cold War. If the Japanese could do a “sneak” attack, then obviously the Soviets could do a sneak attack, too. So the fraud of Pearl Harbor” was recycled as an excuse to burn through trillions of dollars. It’s not an exaggeration to say that the whole planet lost 45 years of peaceful development, and that if the truth about Pearl Harbor had been public knowledge, those 45 years would have been very different. Easily a thousand people knew the truth, and all of them should have wanted to tell the truth. But the truth never came out until it was 40 or 50 years too late.
So large scale cover-ups have worked in the past. It’s up to us to not let them work any more.

I have just one thing to say:
DAllas, 1963.
People who planned to talk to investigators didn’t last long. Died suddenly with weird timing. Sudden heart attacks or car crashes.
Look also at the record of small plane accidents carrying politicians who were making the Deep State or someone uncomfortable. The “thousands can’t keep a secret” argument simply does not wash. It is a theory, not based on fact.
In fact, in every family there are secrets that no one will talk about.
Katherine
To kill one man, even a President would only take a few people to be involved. And as you said, people started dying after that. And yet even so, enough of the plot so far has been exposed to make large numbers of people wonder. As for families keeping secrets, some do,some don’t.We have countless books and movies to show that. But we aren’t talking about a few family relatives keeping a secret, actually many secrets, since every time something happens its dismissed as a false event. So we’d be talking of hundreds of unrelated people who for many years are holding those secrets.I’ve never seen hundreds of people effectively hold on to any secret, let alone dozens of secrets in history.
@Uncle Bob 1
“To kill one man, even a President would only take a few people to be involved.”
Actually, no. It seems that many people were involved with the Dallas assassination.,
Furhtermore, the MSA or the elites or whoever have successfully maintained the front narrative and sidelined any consequences for anyone involved in the plot. So, the fact that many suspect the truth or part of it and there are plenty of books etc. on the subject is like a sideshow at the circus. There is a vested interest in maining the acceptednarrative, just as in a family. This is elementary. It is to maintain the status quo and prevent change at all costs.
@”I’ve never seen hundreds of people effectively hold on to any secret, let alone dozens of secrets in history.”
*Major* logical fallacy. It is not possible to prove a negative. secrets that have been kept are by definition unknowable. And I am also surprised at the apparent hubis of the assumption that you arein a position to “see” all secrets held an dunheld through history. Surprised to find Uncle Bob 1 making such meaningless statements and taking advancing such arguments.

Since there is no “reply” area showing (not sure why that would be). This is to “Cosiimo on March 14, 2016 · at 4:33 am UTC”.
No,that goes to show what I said. The Pearl Harbor affair was the type of a plot very doable. And I suspect 9/11 would fall under that category. It was a plot where all you do is set the stage, and then stand back and do nothing to prevent something. It wasn’t a case of US planes “pretending to be Japanese. And a false attack. They just riled Japan into taking the actions. And when they knew it was coming did noting to stop it.That gives plenty of cover to them. And being actually right in saying “we didn’t do it”. But at the same time gaining from the attack. Those are the types of attacks, false flag style, the US uses. So again, very few would need to know anything about it. And even for most of those the question would be “what did they really know”. Its easy to say ,”sure we heard rumors, but didn’t believe them”. And since Stalin had received many warnings of Barbarossa, and chose not to believe in them.It wouldn’t be odd for Roosevelt to say the same and be believed.
The easiest false flag attacks to stage are when the other side does the action and all that’s needed is for the “good side’ to do nothing. Pearl Harbor was a little unique because the US needed to massively prod the Japanese into attacking the US. The real need of the Japanese Empire was to secure the oil of East Timor and Washington had no treaty obligations to Portugal. As a fascist dictatorship, Portugal might have found it or impossible to get the US aid against a very selective Japanese attack.
If you are interested in Pearl Harbor, a good starting point is the website maintained by the family of Temporary Admiral Kimmel. Lots of material there. http://www.kimmelfamily.net/Husband.htm

There is much to gain when elimination of weapons (firearms) from pubic hands and continued implementation of the security/police state is the agenda.
For Empire subtlety is of the utmost importance. FBI and Secret Service in suits carrying concealed weapons, subtle. In lieu of Military, in uniforms, carrying weapons open to view, not subtle.
Not to mention crisis actors; some of the same at separate events. Deaths of “freinds” of patsy perpetrators who might expose false events. All necessary to delude the public and manufactoring consent.
That would be true “if” that was happening. But at least in the US it isn’t. The gun stores are doing a “land office” business right now. And almost everyone I know or read about on Social Media,is boasting about new guns they have bought or are about to buy. And there are videos and pictures,in excess. Posted by friends showing them with or using their guns. Its a total falsify that people in the US are in danger of loosing their second amendment rights.Whether its a “good” or “bad” thing for there to be more guns than people floating around in a society is another question. And one that Americans shy away from like the plague. But that,as I said,is another question.
» But I don’t see what they would gain by trying to fully fake an event like that. «
Then you clearly lack phantasy, and even the ability to critically analyze.
What is needed is the effect – in this case, on the public, i.e. the sheeple. The infrastructure to fool the sheeple has never been as effective as today. Television was a big step (“moon landing” anyone?), maybe the most important step ever, but now with extremely powerful CGI composition (even real-time), stuff like 9/11 airplanes hitting the WTC is a piece of cake.
The organizers gain by cleverly achieving the desired effect on the dumb sheeple. Patriotism. Consent. Rallying around the Gubbermint. Support for the onslaught on .
What would the actors and participants gain? Hmm, now what could they gain? Tough nut to crack … let me think about it some more … maybe … Money??? Bingo. And a lot of it. How much is a lot? Would 20,000 $ be a lot of money for you? No? How about 200,000? No? Then 2 million? No? It would be a lot for me. And for most people.
Did you know the volume of the 9/11 VCF (victim compensation fund)?
More Than $38 Billion Paid to 9/11 Victims – L.A. Times, Nov 8, 2004
That is billions, not millions. It means you can make, for example, 38,000 millionaires.
Now briefly about the whistle-blowing risk. Would you rather keep your million and enjoy life in your nice home with swimming pool – or report to the authorities that you were not entitled to receive your million? And then face charges with fraud, and go to jail? Or maybe much worse than jail – for threatening to blow the whistle?
I’ve posted links to pages explaining all that in more detail on this blog … accessible via the Google links in my above comment … but I guess you’re happy in the conventional world vision where nuclear doomsday is a real possibility, just like aluminium airliners piercíng steel girders like hot knives go through butter.
Thank you,you are correct I don’t deal in “fantasy”,only in facts. I’ll leave the fantasy to those that can’t deal with the facts.
К вашему комментарию стоит добавить, что те, кто принял денежную компенсацию, подписали соглашение, что более не имеют никаких претензий, и потеряли право на возможность участия в дальнейшем расследовании 11/9.
To your comment I should add that those who took cash compensation, has signed an agreement that no longer have any complaints, and have lost the right to participate in further investigation 11/9. Sorry for poor English.
Sandy Hook, 9/11, 7/7, Charlie Hebdo – Sandy Hook is the easiest – followed quickly by 9/11:
John Lear’s court testimony as expert witness is currently the legal truth on the 9/11 events as it went unchallenged (as he predicted it would) by the opposing lawyers. For Sandy Hook check out the school safety consultant Wolfgang Halbig who has pulled it apart.
For 7/7 – just look at how the four “bombers” were supposed to have arrived in London on a train which did not even run on that day. ?
Charlie Hebdo – check the film of a prostrate man being “shot” on the head with an AK47 which left no blast or blood spray on the pavement. ?
Haha, that John Lear is one freakin’ hell of a clown. He’s a 100 % obvious disinfo shill to discredit the obvious, namely that the 9/11 airplanes were video fakery, and that there were no real planes. John Lear talks about “holographs”, allegedly a “highly advanced technology”, LoL, and “directed energy weapons” that vaporized the towers, another LoL. But he doesn’t stop there. Not only does he say the moon landings were real (like nukes, by the way), but also that the moon is a satellite, a spaceship, that was “towed into orbit” by space aliens, who also operate spaceships in the rings of Saturn. That John Lear is a nonstop bravo sierra acid trip. He’s in the same boat as Morgan Reynolds, straight out of the George W. Bush administration. All disinfo clowns who in all likelihood made a lot of money from 9/11.
@Lumi
You believe that false flag style attacks occur but for some reason the deaths are faked? Because the people behind these attacks are at heart genuinely good emphatic people?
One thing is for sure, this world of yours where nobody is killed, where nukes aren’t real, where man cannot yet go to space must be a very pleasant place to be.
The Controllers and Hoaxers have a different problem: The relatives of the deceased tend to make troubles, mothers want to know what happened to their sons and daughters, they are the only ones who insist on real investigations. Big problem for Mossad/CIA.
That is why after the Vietnam War, the US switched gradually from conscripted soldiers to mercenaries (Al-This and That, ISIS) and to crisis actors.

I think you seriously need a refresher on the meaning of the word “hoax”.
Dictionary:
1. An act intended to deceive or trick.
2. Something that has been established or accepted by fraudulent means.
tr.v. hoaxed, hoax·ing, hoax·es
To deceive or cheat by using a hoax.
Almost every historical occurrence you listed “was a real live” event (not sure on a couple, true). The fact that you consider them hoaxes leads to some serious concerns about your ability for critical thinking.
Hi Lumi,
I do not know about 9/11, but I was living in Paris at the time of the attack.
In those days, I have personally talked with several people who got a cousin, a brother, a friend, which had been hurt or killed during the attacks.
Several other peoples, among them friends I trust, have seen the carnage (after it was ended).
So sorry to break your dreams, but the deads were reals. And I feel really angry reading this, both for the lack of minimal respect for the victims and the stupidity of such a tought.
Why would you fake such an event ? It is so much more simple to do it for real ! Shooting civilians can be done by any S***head with a gun. Simulating the death or injuries of hundred peoples seems so much more complicated !
And why would they do that ? I cannot understand how it would be better for our leaders to fake the victims in such an event.
Sorry for my anger, but this kind of comments is really discrediting the dissidents, unless you have some kind of proof, and, more important, a reason why they would prefer fake victims to real ones.
TeNgY
» lack of minimal respect for the victims «
Haha, the standard artificial indignation. Predictable.
» Why would you fake such an event ? It is so much more simple to do it for real ! «
How often have you tried to perform a mass shooting in France? We’re not talking about hypothetical “S***heads” (whatever concept you connect that to in your own head) but about real people who would actually be both able and willing to pull it off. Slaughter a dozen of random people. And then another dozen. And another dozen. And yet another dozen. And yet more. And yet keep going and slaughtering. And be sure to escape alive. To then enjoy the fruits of their labour. And live in confidence that the organizers will continue to trust you not to blow any whistle or drop any clue … rather than to play it safe and pull the plug by at least cutting out the middleman.
So maybe this is not a problem for you? Then I suggest you report to francozionist dictator Hollande and offer your services. Because you’re not convinced that the hoax approach is superior. And you want real blood and real gore.
It is clear that, as stated by Paul II and/or Charles above, a 100 % controlled theatrical stage where everything is scripted and no harm is done and no crime perpetrated is infinitely preferrable – unless you wish to inflict real terror, such as in the cases I listed above, to which I could add the 10/23/02 Moscow Dubrovka theater attack and the 9/1/04 Beslan attack, showing the longstanding Anglozionist aggression against Russia.
1. This isn’t too relevant to the overall picture, but I have not read anywhere that “no one died” on the November 13 Bataclan attack. The two links (in the comment above) don’t go anywhere in particular, and certainly don’ t point toward any direct sources. So it’s worse than lame, it’s a waste of time. Better to focus on the unbelievable (literally) “incompetence” of the French security services at catching the terrorists ahead of time because they were well-known as terrorists. It’s clear the French police have high-level accomplices, and the “smoking gun” (again, literally) is the “suicide” of the French police chief, Helric Fredou, on January 11, 2015, related to the Charlie-Hebdo attack. Link http://www.shoutoutuk.org/2015/10/29/charlie-hebdos-fait-divers-unanswered-death-helric-fredou/. Sandy Hook in the US ” Possibly, but it’s off topic. James Tracy, a tenured professor, was fired for trying to make sense of it.
2. Of course the correct phrase is “fuite en avant.” It was a typo, and my essay had too many. Next time, not so many. “Fuite en avance” ? It’s so much less well known that I’ve never heard it before. It’s too bad the elites don’t practice “fuite en avance” because that would make the world a more peaceful place. The elites certainly have the brains to know they should leave the casino early, but they never do.
Cosimo
» I have not read anywhere that “no one died” on the November 13 Bataclan attack. «
Do you need an authority to help you think? Or can you draw your own conclusions when you see that woman allegedly hanging from her arms for several minutes in that Bataclan back alley video? There are many more problems with this poorly performed hoax, but that woman alone is giving it all away. If you don’t see that this is a staged event then I cannot help you.
Cosimo, I, for one am with you on this matter of “false flags”. Use of logic plus such facts as are known would clearly point to a “let it just happen” scenario. This is probably how 9/11 happened (which was plenty real, with many very real victims) as well as the Boston marathon and Charlie Hebdo events. In each case, the PTBs derived some tangible benefit for their nefarious aims, and in each case, they maintained “plausible deniability” in the sense that such trails as were pointing back at the “plan” were fraught with ambiguity. Fact is, it is very difficult to prove a “let it just happen” case, because all the planners really need is just very few in the know, while the rest act just as they naturally would, and that includes members of the police (most of whom are quite “for real”), the political class, and often the president, who is kept just as ignorant of what really took place as most of us.
In the case of 9/11, I am willing to go further because of building 7 collapse, so there was a “bit” more apriori planning involved by the PTBs. Similarly with MH17 – there was obvious planning ahead of time – that was one event that could not be left to chance. That plane had to come down because this was the trigger needed to get EU on board with the sanctions. That they backfired is partly thanks to Putin’s clear-headedness, but also bears witness to the element of incompetence and short-term thinking on the part of the PTBs. And that last one is what should give us hope. Powerful they may be and sheepish may most of the people be. But a smart dissidence movement can eventually catch the elitocrats weak at the trough of their own game, and there they could be cornered.
Putting all that aside, false flags will continue to happen and real people will continue to die, unfortunately. None of us know when we ourselves may get caught up in a staged event, so some circumspection and no small amount of empathy are needed. After all, the purpose of dissent is to save the people from that foreboding neo-feudal future planned for the sheeple. Not just in France or the US but everywhere. Wasting time on spitball fights among the ranks is not only silly but plays into the hands of the powerful (which is why havoc creation among the commentariat is one of their favorite tools). Just keep writing in-depth analysis, Cosimo, as I hope many others will also here as well as on the few other good outlets we have.
Karlin: What is PTBs?
Unless an abbreviation is very well known, it would be nice to have it written out the first time used in a thread.

The powers that be (phrase) – Wikipedia
From the Bible, Romans 13:1.
I only learnt that just now.
Another doubter,
Well, I thought Cosimo A’s article and links, especially to the interview with American economist Michael Hudson, were extremely interesting.
However, if you really are interested in the issue of false flags, which was hardly mentioned at all here, I would recommend this article, which is one of the best on the subject I have read, as it describes a little about the well tested psychological techniques used by the psychopaths who commit them. They know what the effect will be in advance.
“Hall of mirrors: the psychology of false flags”
https://alethonews.wordpress.com/2016/03/06/hall-of-mirrors-the-psychology-of-false-flags/
Tony’s link to the article on false flag hall of mirrors is well worth the time to read.
Paul II’s debate with Uncle Bob 1 is also very valuable.
The key issue to comprehend is the reality of psychopathy at the top of the globalist controller hierarchy. These are the primary psychopaths who were generally born that way, and who employ fear to exert mind control over their secondary psychopaths (who were made, recruited, employed, inserted into their careers and assignments in the overall matrix) and are themselves ruled by fear. It is fear slavery, top to bottom.
Dennis O’ Leary is more right than I think he knows. The opposite of fear is Love. Fear retards the ascension of the individual to higher consciousness, love (caring and empathy for others besides yourself and your group, family, party, nation, etc) is a prerequisite for growing in consciousness.
The problem is essentially one of the evolution or devolution of human consciousness in the individual and simultaneously in the aggregate. And the current unprecedented danger to the entirety of humanity is that the so called “elites” running most of the show are fearful, loveless psychopaths who are capable of more mind control over more people than I think Uncle Bob I has yet grasped. However, I would add that the possibilities of breaking the mind control are simultaneously greater than ever before in history, concurrent with the threat of psychopathy destroying hundreds of thousands of years of human efforts to rise in consciousness above the beasts.
“Another doubter”‘s view is empty wishful thinking with no valuable argument. Arguing with “false flags” while false flags are not mentionned at all in the original article (although they are part of the methods of the oligarchy) Typical troll method.
Cosimo A,
Much Applause! Brilliant Essay!
You even recalled Juan Juarez, France’s last (and martyred) Socialist.
And Dieudonné, and Alain Soral! Even Regis Debray!
And the Le Pens, specially, Jean Marie, who has done his homework. I do not count out Marine Le Pen, unless she has been implanted with a device. To don a Yarmulka, and say a few prayers at the Wailing Wall, can be undone by a confession (public and to a priest), accompanied by a few Hail Marys.
Our bought congress, including Rand Paul have all done – the Wailing Wall. This is part of the imposed (post American Republic November 22, 1963), political culture initiation – along with the anal sex at the Skull and Crossbones. The Freemasons, and their controllers, the Rothschilds, also received your due attention.
I have written a few Missives on this forum about the hope in France, (France is the political Center of Europe – Marx got that right); it is the political center of the world. It contains a critically large and growing resistance “underground.” No one listens to me; but I believe they will read your essay carefully.
Cosimo A: you understand, not only France, but the Zionist controlled US of America, who controls them, and who manages their political processes. In France there is Hope, because in France there is well developed and matured opposition, and the French people, increasingly understand – “there is a world to gain.”
I wish to end by clarifying (with only a side mention of Vladimir Putin, the Militia of Novorossiya, the Syrian Army, Hezbollah, and the Iranian volunteers), that I appreciate Dieudonné, Alain Soral, Farage, Laurent, Snowden, Assange, Manning, Ron Paul (our Jean Marie), [Paul’s son, Rand Paul, is our Marine Le Pen – but she can speak!!!], Cinthia McKinney, the young Kennedys (who know what happened to their JFK in Dallas, and who did it), Ralph Nader, Jesse Ventura, Joan Baez, and the Saker, the Saker, the Saker, almost as much as Sheryl Crow.

Thanks. It’s hard to get reliable detailed info about France.
The Saker says:
“Dieudonné can rightfully claim that people watch his Youtube videos more than they watch French corporate media TV “news.””
Yes, and more would watch his Youtube videos if they had captions in English as well as other languages.IMO…Dieudonné should have all his videos subtitled.
What say you all?
Carmel by the Sea
BTW: this bit is an exageration. Let’s say his most viewed videos have roughly the views major media news gets. On average it’s in the hundred of thousands, which is still pretty huge. But your average street person won’t have seen them.
The traditionalist pro-Russian party FN with Marine Le Pen as leader is the largest party in France today, so I would say yes. there is plentiy of hope.
The tides are turning against the cultural marxist that has been raping the natives of Europe for decades.
The exact same development can be seen in all west-European states. Afd in Germany, UKIP in UK, SD in Sweden, PVV in Netherlands and so forth. Traditionalism and nationalism is trending in Europe.
Is is worth to remember, that France is part of EU which is a dictatorship per definition and France in itself, with its limited democracy is very undemocratic. They use a system similar to UK where the votes are not representative of the population at all, and it is very very very hard for a new party to gain any influence.
“When the US government went into WW2, it quickly realized it could not win a short war, so it prepared for a long war.”
It entered the war after Pearl Harbor, and Germany declaring war on the US, in December 1941. By December 1944 it was pretty well all over. How short a war do you want? The war in Afghanistan is 15 -going on 40-years old.
As to the Parliament in 1738: the Parlements in question were hardly representative institutions. What they did, inter alia, was register edicts.
Still, I liked the article as a whole.
The War started on 1 Sept 1939.
Britain left the European Continent May 1940.
USSR entered war July 1941 and fought continuously across Europe until July 1945.
USA and UK did not land troops in Europe until late 1943.
I was trying to make two points here.
One was to note a general principle that victory in war goes to the side that lasts longer.
Second, this statement was the strategy of the US establishment in the early 1940’s before anyone could know that the war would end in 1945 and not, say 1948. It’s worth noting that their mindset has not changed. People say Washington is “fickle”, that it starts wars it can’t end and sometimes just walks away. That overlooks the fact that the empire has lots of “theaters of combat” to use the 1940’s term, and it has to manage its resources balanced against its immediate goals. With very few exceptions, if the US military withdraws, they are likely to come back later.
Cosimo
What you wrote is correct. The French parliament had to register each Papal edict for it to have the force of law, and in 1738, parliament refused. I think they simply “failed” to vote. This is mentioned in Soral’s book, « Comprendre l’Empire. »
Cosimo
Extremely enlightening and disturbing!
Very interesting. I really thought, that the French are not anymore what they used to be.
And I asked me why? So there is hope. Guillotines next pls.
IMO three options:
– nothing special happens pre election. FN ranks first on first turn, then Marine Lepen is beaten by Alain Juppé (les Républicains) on the second one. Juppé is a very bland technocrat but that has been through enhough sh*t so that people don’t hate him entirely.
– false flag ala Madrid bombing to save PS’s ass. Can backfire to actually boost FN if made by jihadist. They’d rather need a french Breivik…
– real major event (Brexit/euro explosion, market crash, real terror): FN win by a landslide.
What I don’t see happening is a real revolution. France is simply still (way) too wealthy for that.
Thank you for this analysis…
I would happily break both legs and arms if it had any change of happening.
But as you said it yourself I am shocked and don’t believe it is worth anything more than the 2 cents price tag you put on it.
Why ?
Because I am both french and turkish and have been living in those two countries for the most part of my life. And unfortunately there is one essential piece of information that you left out: the human side.
There is simply not any single leader in both countries able to either push people in the streets (bloody revolution) or win in a regular election (peaceful revolution).
So yes, there is some opposition, a few intellectuals who are against the “establishment” but in France they are simply ignored and in Turkey they are jailed.
Without a leader, the population has to turn into an angry mob to break things appart. I hope we won’t need to get there to see some change happening :(
You talk a lot about Dieudonné and Soral, Both of them are very real but are totally unsignificant. Yes people know their names, but the feeling is not “oh those guys have something interesting to say let’s listen” but more like “it is a stinking piece of shit, better stay far away from it”. I am talking literally… Some of that feeling do come from the government/media bashing, but most of it is from their own doings. Dieudonné & Soral might not be racist and anti-semite, but they sure act like they are. Their followers are mostly youngsters from the poor Paris suburbs who happen to be black/muslim, rejected by the country and angry at France. So anything the government hates is something they would praise. Does that make them the future generation for France ? I very much doubt about it….
Concerning Le Pen… Jean Marie, is way too old to be of any significance. He has always been out of line and will always be so he’s out. His daughter Marine has softened the party a bit and did gain some voters. But again, they are just angry people against something, not convinced people about a vision for the future. So yes she has followers who are fed up with the existing political parties and would love to break everything. But unless the country is close to war or in a very dear situation, that will never happen.
Remember when Chirac was elected ? if I’m not mistaken 87% of the french voted for him. Yes about a third of the french voters will vote for Marine Le Pen just to show their anger/anxiety about the future. But if by any change she comes close to being really elected, when faced with a real choice, the french will never ever elect her trust me. (IMHO I’m ot sure it would be a good thing because she does lack the most important thing for a leader: a political vison… She just wants to be “calife à la place du calife” (for those who don’t understand: Wikipedia – Iznogoud)
By and large, people have enough to eat, a roof on top of their head and dumb programs to watch on TV. They will never throw that away for some hypothetical bright future.
That is especially true for an aging population like France. In Turkey things are a little different because the country is very young and people don’t have much, so not much to loose. But on the other hand, things are also much much tougher… When a simple word can put you in jail for several years you don’t open your mouth. There are regularly “protesters” in the streets. I salute their courage but the vast majority of the country doesn’t know what they are protesting against are scared to join them or simply don’t care.
Look around you in France or in Turkey.
Do people really suffer ? I mean in their very own flesh ?
No… Syrian immigrants suffer, you can see them on TV. But fortunately we are not like them. So yes our leaders are corrupt, they cheat and lie. I should be paid more and work less but am I ready to risk becoming a “Syrian immigrate” just to be able to have more money and/or freedom ? Not for a minute…. Not even a second !
And if the “I” has kids, he doesn’t even have a choice. It’s NO without any hesitation.
Étienne de La Boétie has written about voluntary servitude some 500 years ago. Nothing much has changed since then :(
In any case, without a “charismatic leader” none of those protests will ever lead anywhere, long term or short term. I am very sad about it but that is the simple ugly truth.
I really hope that I’am totally blind, wrong and that we are actually in 1788 with a de Gaulle or an Atatürk lurking behind the corner…
To sysATI, thank you very much for your comment to the article by Cosimo A. In my opinion, your response is as important and valuable to us, who are without direct experience or connections to France and Turkey, as the main article. I hope you will post again with your observations about France And Turkey.
You are very welcome…
I am not saying this for any comment I could post, but comments in general.
I really enjoy coming to this website because the “article” is only part of what is interesting. It would be just “thoughts from some guy” without all of the comments left by generally intelligent, interesting and informed people. That is what makes this website so interesting.
The Saker has a french version. I also go there because I’m lazy and it’s easier to read in your own language, but unfortunately it lacks that crucial part, the comments :( And often times I end up here reading the English version just to be able to see what people think about the article !
So I would really like to thank all of the people who make this happen from the bottom of my heart.
I know it’s a pain in the a… to be on the deck 24/7 and “clean up the mess” because I’m sure only some of the comments end up on line. Bu the rest of the garbage has still to be read and discarded and it’s damn time consuming.
So thank you all for posting comments, but most of all, thank to the crew who reads and moderate them… Without you guys, this website would lack an essential part of what makes it what it is…
Yeah. Right. It’s all hopeless. Does a good job of demoralizing people.
Some realism is certainly in order to counter-balance the overly optimistic article, but you’re going way over the top.
» both french and turkish «
Very hard to believe. My gut feeling is you are not at all what you’re saying you are.
My gut feeling is….
I often think about gut feelings, trying to work out where they originate from. They seem to originate from two sources.
One source is little bits of accurate information that that have been picked up over a period of time and stored subconsciously that cannot be instantly recalled.
The other source is that part of our brain given over to superstition, to believe a religion, to be scared of the dark, the unknown ect.
Well you believe what you want pal…
My mom’s french and my dad’s turkish.
I lived in Turkey for 20 years and in France for 30. What is so unbelievable about that ?
Tell your guts that they’re wrong, there’s no conspiracy here and I’m not on the payroll of neither the turkish sultan nor the french empereur :)
Concerning “going over the top”, sorry but I yet want to see a revolution succeed before I can get optimistic about the future. So far all the so called “revolutions” were colorful once planed and staged by people who had absolutely nothing to do in the countries where they happened.
You want me to feel optimistic because some racist french fool is getting friendly with an extremist (nazi?) ex-party leader ? Or because a wannabe sultan is doing much much worse to his own people and country than any hardcore conspirator could ever dream of ? No one blinks an eye but tomorrow all of that will change… Sure I’ll drink to that ! (except here it’s getting harder and harder to drink freely… So I’ll have a soda instead :)
These are the two countries I know, but you could take pretty much any country, there is nothing to be happy about… Well Iceland maybe or Spain a little but appart from that can you see anything to be optimistic about around you ?
@ SysATI:
“Dieudonné & Soral might not be racist and anti-semite, but they sure act like they are. Their followers are mostly youngsters from the poor Paris suburbs who happen to be black/muslim, rejected by the country and angry at France [..]”
Aaaaaah well! There you go! This actually clarifies many things.
In any case, I found your whole post rather insightful, and to echo Stiv’s sentiments; I too hope you post here again.
-TL2Q
Much wisdom in sysATI comment, including the very “a’ propos” reference to Etienne de la Boetie. I am afraid we are not in 1788 and for two reasons. One, the Revolution was bourgeois to begin with, to gain political power by the neo-capitalist elite. And two, when the revolution threatened to veer towards socialism, Robespierre was promptly eliminated, while official historiography has made of him a monster and the complete opposite of what he was.
The proof of the eminently bourgeois nature of the revolution is that everything was bad with kings and nobles, but there was nothing wrong with an emperor…. Still, as the Ancient Regime contemporary and very Jean-Jacques-Russeau-file Etienne de Senancour said, ““Le réel souvent désaltère l’espérance. C’est pourquoi, contre toute attente, l’espérance survit.” (roughly…. Reality often kills hope, but this is why, against all prediction, hope survives.)
I’ve made many U-turns on things I had thought were very solid, and the French Revolution is one of them. It was the first Color Revolution, really.
The hardest proof of it being bourgeois and against “the people” is La Loi Le Chapelier, passed on 14 June, 1791 when the Revolution was still young. This law forbid worker’s associations and strikes, but did not forbid businessmen from having associations. The law lasted until about 1884, as I recall.
Cosimo
You are looking at the past through “21st century eyes”. To understand the past you must relate it to the thinking of “those times” not our time. Certainly the French Revolution was a bourgeois revolution. But for those times that was “radical” and new. It wasn’t a color revolution, that concept didn’t exist then. In those days, the Noble Classes were everything. You were almost dirt,if you didn’t belong to that class. The other two classes, the bourgeois and the peasantry (and tiny working class) had few rights and ability to advance to any other position. The French Revolution “freed” the bourgeois elements. But only gave a “few bones” to the peasantry, and nothing at all to the working class. We in other time understand how “wrong” that was. But in their time it was a huge advancement in social thinking. Radical thinking, never accepted before.
deep and true. much more accurate than the OP’s article. echoes my own impressions of contemporary France on all levels.
“Look around you in France or in Turkey.
Do people really suffer ?”
Yes, they are, especially in Turkey, where everyone who oppose the Muslim Brotherhood gang in charge is being exterminated.
I do not know where you really live, perhaps you must decide where do you want to live. If it is in Turkey, thare are enough people there rising up whom you could give a hand, perhaps you will be lucky and you have not even break any arm or any leg. But perhaps you are unlucky and you can lose your life, as many others, but it is not better die than live on your knees?
To take action all depends on the gullibility of each one, it has always been people who have seen its neighbors disappear in the middle of the night and was not worried.
“When they came for the Kurds, I did nothing because I was not Kurd, when they came for the Communists did nothing because I was not a Communist, when they came for the trade unionists did nothing because I was not a trade unionist, when they finally came for me there was no one to do anything for me …..”

1. You brought up an interesting and important point, the lack of charismatic leaders in today’s word. There’s a lot to say about charismatic leaders.
A. The internet has raised the level of effective intelligence of non-elites like us, and we are truly entering an era where the masses can do more than ever before. So maybe we don’t need them anymore, if we ever did.
B. As a “brand name” for one method to create social change, the brand of “charismatic leadership” has become toxic, has gotten a bad rep in the marketplace. The brand was eroded by the lying corporate media who, as kingmakers, present us with “great new leaders” such as the utter fraud of the Tsipras-Varoufakis tandem in Greece, the egotism of Beppe-Grillo – the Lone Star of the 5 Star Movement in Italy, or Cohn-Bendit, the gray man of 1968.
3. Charismatic leaders get assassinated with depressing regularity: Jaurès, Ghandi, Lumumba, Nasser and hundreds of others. As a response, social movements tend to evolve, either towards a more viable form of distributed leadership, or else they learn to employ very capable bodyguards. Approximately, the two models are Podemos in Spain or Hezbollah in Lebanon.
2. I get the impression that you haven’t actually read or seen any of the dissidents, or you would not write “Dieudonné & Soral might not be racist and anti-semite, but they sure act like they are.” You, me, everyone needs to get to the rock-hard truths … Some of Dieudonné’s performances could start to clear up your confusion. Many segments are on Youtube. Full shows are mostly on DVD’s. My personal favorite is “Mahmoud Ahmedinejad,” a 90 minutes show with only 1-3 minutes about the former president of Iran. 6 minutes is on anti-semitism and that’s funny. The rest is humor, some of it verging on political relevancy. The DVD is 15 euros here: http://dieudosphere.com/spectacle/mahmoud-5.html
Soral’s major essay is his book, Comprendre l’Empire. and it’s a compact (237 page) introduction to themes and connected dots you may not have heard of. Here’s the link: http://www.kontrekulture.com/achats-livres-subversifs/26-comprendre-empire-alain-soral.html
Similarly, we need to get to the rock-hard truth about the throngs of dissidents. You say they are, to paraphrase, uneducated and motivated only by a sense of exclusion. I doubt this, but I can’t prove it. In videos, you can see the audiences at Dieudonné shows; it’s always a real mix, typically half white (de souche, presumably), typical a third are Arab-French, and the rest African-French. I can’t judge social class from seeing videos, but they look middle class. At the regional meetings organized by E&R, the audiences are a real mix of races and probably classes. A more relevant question is their level of consciousness. The audience members who pose questions to the panelists have a high level of understanding. However, when it comes to a quantitative description of whether most of the adherents are uninformed and motivated solely by a sense of exclusion, I don’t have the personal contacts and don’t have the proof to refute or support either description. Nor do you, it seems. So this remains an interesting and relevant question.
3. Peoples’ thinking evolves and that’s a very good thing. The Chirac vs. Mitterrand contests (1997 and 2002) are 14 and 19 years old. Things change. In the 1990’s, Alain Soral was busy chasing skirts, I was supporting NATO’s R2P attacks on the former Yugoslavia, and Dieudonné was running for office on the “Socialist” ticket. No one has to stay stuck in the past, and no one should. We all have to start from somewhere, start figuring out truth from lies, figure out what really matters, pull up our socks and get going.
Thanks for the comment.
Cosimo
Thank you so much, Cosimo A. for this report. I agree that it appears to be the establishment versus the people, nearly everywhere. There is no room in American politics for anyone with good intentions towards the people. Such oddities will either be eliminated, or co-opted. The sad reality is that most North Americans are still amusing themselves to death, in the prophetic words of Roger Waters, while the establishment continues to ravish the earth and its people. Dissent in North America seems scattered and unorganized at best. Good luck to the French dissidents!
By and large, people have enough to eat, a roof on top of their head and dumb programs to watch on TV. They will never throw that away for some hypothetical bright future.
Voila. In other words, the “people” don’t deserve or even really seek anything else. Besides, who has the guns, the tanks, the militarized police? “Power comes from the barrel of a gun,” said monster Mao. But it’s true. It’s the time of Gog and Magog. What awaits the world nearly is war and hunger.
France is well and truly *** in my opinion. We must first realize that the French government has the same basic features as the greek government of Tsipras: Completely sionisé, highlighted by a cold and / or a complete animosity vis-à-vis his subjects and interests the country, despite the pretensions “leftists”. Of course, unlike Greece, France has not plunged into total chaos. For its part, Greece is still trying to censor and threaten the voices of dissidents, which is remarkable given the circumstances of the country. But most importantly, this is the ultimate convergence of these two paths – the liberal-fascist Ukraine under supervision of violent ultra-Zionists foreigners.
As for the “thirty glorious years”, they will never return to the West. Neoliberalism has deprived the states of their resources and their taxes and set up the permanent de-industrialization; So mass unemployment. Western triumphant pillage of Russia, China, and the third world – of course accompanied by great benevolence of our dear old oligarchy ziofasciste – would be the only hope for such dreams.
“Nussimen, I think you have submitted posts before written in English. I am at a loss to understand why you chose to submit one in French, which has required me to go to the trouble of translating it prior to approving. This takes extra time and effort – and we are volunteers. I am puzzled as to why you would do this. Moderator-on-shift”.
Cosimo,
I sincerely hope you’re right! If the Anglo-Zionist Empire loses France, it’s surely on its way out.
It’s been an uphill battle for Trump fans like myself to convince others that the Donald is not the bogeyman the lying media makes him out to be.
As for Dieudonne, glad to hear he’s still free and speaking out. I love his dark, anti-PC comedy!
France has Dieudonne, and that’s more than any other country has right now.
What about modi or abe?
Do not forget that the FN is a creation of Mitterand. The Goal of the FN is to divide, for the UMPS is the same party and they need to secure let’s say around 20% of the voter to get elected so if they can spread the voters in between them and the FN, in the second round they will win. In France, there are only 5 to 6 million voter that vote for FN since 40 years and there will not be more than that. This is a fact and you can look the numbers since 40 years. The FN is one party created by the PS of Mitterand to win the election in 81. That’s it and nothing else. But the french will strike back, a french will never tell you in the face what he or she thinks but the revenge will be harsh.
La vengeance est un plat qui se mange froid :-)
It’s simply wrong to say the FN was created by Mitterand in 1981. The FN dates from 1972. If you have any evidence that Mitterand had a hand in promoting the FN, everyone would want to see it, even if it’s tangential to what the FN is today.
Your theory that historically the PS used the FN to split the right-wing vote could well be correct. But as a practical matter, there is no difference between Les Républicains and the PS.
Cosimo
A very interesting read really, i just wish that french site would be avaible in english too, could be very informative.
It will be interesting times when, and i hope she will, Marie Le Pen wins with her party. Then let´s hope it will not be business as usual. We do see this trend in other countries as well.
In Germany it´s the rather new party AfD (meaning alternative for Germany) that in recent regional elections skyrocket. In Slovakia the Eu crtics too made 2nd and 3rd place in their parlament.
Here in Austria, we have presidential elections soon. Which are looking good for the FPÖ (our “right” Freedom and anti EU party). But more important is who will become the next Bundeskanzler (like in Germany), which this time could actually be Mr. Strache, the leader of the FPÖ. Unfortunaly likely not before 2018.
This would be the ultimate slap in the face for the existing ruling powers. One thing is for clear. This party, the FPÖ is very similar to the AfD or Marie Le Pen´s party. This could be a game changer. Last time this party was that strong and was co-ruling the country, other EU member states tried to influence our internal goverment and even considered sanctions. So much for democracy right? The point is we need this change, the socialist parties haven´t been socialist for a long time in most EU states as it seems. It´s all under EU rule.
It will be an interesting time in the next years and we will see how much the people can take until they snap. An increasing totalitarian Bruessel, Billions of money for Greece we will never again see, a struggling economy, always more money for a bloated EU which in return means less money for our systems, schools, medical care, name it. The sanctions against Russia, the constant and openly lying media that people abandon. Deals with Turkey who people are firmly against. And illgeal migration in masses masked as refugees which already has consequences.
Interesting times indeed.
To my knowledge, Marine Le pen has never been to israël.
M LePen sent her number 2, Luois Aliot and she has made a number of positive remarks on Israel, probably, obviously, for political reasons. Whether this may effect her electorate is anybody’s guess.
Really great to see the crowd in that video. There’s a couple chapters in the Saker’s book on the French govt. vs. Dieudonné, a situation lasting for years, and that kind of crowd with that kind of energy says a lot about the resistance in France. After all these years of attacks, he’s still filling the halls!
They’re not cheering on a politician promising to change everything with a magic wand; they’re cheering Dieudonné! As an aside, La Marseillaise really is a more rousing national anthem than the Star Spangled Banner, and a million times better tune to boot, which is to say, when the French get roused they have rather more to offer than “USA, USA.” Rebellious and full of attitude, no?
His support is from the heartland too, outside Paris — Bourdeaux, Nancy, etc. The regional differences in France are very noticeable and interesting, in the US we sometimes forget that just as the US is not New York, France is not Paris.
The US resistance, and our comedians and artists, could learn a thing or two from this tour.
I mean, many of us are grateful for some form of debate raised by Sanders and Trump, but the Revolution must be fun, or it ain’t gonna work.
The Star Spangled Banner lyrics were created on the occasion of the first war to bring “freedom and democracy”….. this time to Canada in 1812. The Americans did not succeed and had Washington burned in the bargain.
The music is actually an old English drinking song, “Anacreon in Heaven”. If interested, the original song and lyrics are included in the third and last Historical Video Sketch on the War of 1812, it start at about min 21.20 (of total 28)

Thank you, I didn’t know any of that! National anthems are frequently weird, and oft overlooked chapters of music history. Ever read the lyrics to “God Save the Queen”? There’s a glimpse into old imperial psychology. The wiki page is interesting. Again thanks for youtube link.

American had some very good comedians. Bill Hicks (especially in his later years), Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Richard Pryor and Dick Gregory.
If there are younger and really funny American comedians, I haven’t found any on Comedy Channel. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Rita Rudner and Paula Poundstone are great. Not youths but v. witty. The late Sam Kinnison was stellar.
A very informative article, especially for those of us who reside elsewhere and have difficulty obtaining alternative, critical of the existing status quo information concerning the political issues. Unfortunately, there is only so much time available for research when one must work a job and get at least some sleep.
I would like to make a comment regarding the take-over and shutting down of the Zaman newspaper. Along with the associated actions of the Turkish Government. The cleric Fathulla Gulen is very closely linked to Zaman. The same individual who is living in the Empire. The same cleric who has close ties with the Empires deep state. (See the Penny for Your Thoughts Blog’s latest post which is extremely informative). The same cleric who sponsors “schools” which are banned in Russia, Uzbekistan and Turkey. Zaman may not completely what it appears to be.
Charles,
Gullen is CIA — Erdogan is CIA-MIT.
They work together. God cop/bad cop.
The point is to establish Ottoman Empire 2.0, against the wishes of the people.
Russia is the target. The Empire wants it dismembered. Erdogan wants to be Sultan. It all fits very nicely together.
headlong flight (fuite en avance).
I’ve been wondering how to translate that French phrase, and I’m pleased to have that question answered.
(However, it’s ‘fuite en avant’, not ‘avance’)
There is also hope to be had from the current fight against the El Khomry Labour Law, which will have to be withdrawn.
Re: False Flags and my previous comment.
I have an issue with the term, which is used lazily as a pretence to side against the West (in the main). It’s a poor argument. There are real terrorists out there, some are aided, some are trained, some are just bone fide nut cases ‘living’ for a cause. People die in these attacks. They are not some pyrotechnic display for a feature film. Of course, you can link complicity to anything if you try hard enough, or not try in some cases. I just feel that any article shouldn’t contain this mediocre excuse regarding absolutely everything. So far in the last 24 months we’ve home many FFs? Perhaps the number of FFs is FF ;-))
Doubter, your first post was lame as hell and your second one is not an improvement. Some terror events are suspected of being false flags and some are known to be false flags. Rather than swallow the Empire’s BS on a regular basis, it is healthier to doubt numerous official stories than to swallow even one that is clearly a false flag.
You speak of laziness, but show no work done. I think the more appropriate adjective to examine is called cowardice. Let’s see your position on 911 and go from there, OK??????
Let me pre-empt an academic counter-attack by effete Doubter, re: cowardice being a noun and not an adjective. Some things inspire such vitriol that my grammatic rigor goes all haywire. And I thought surely my comment would be moderated away, in any case, but at least I would feel better. But thank you moderator for your forbearance. There are only a few billion lives at stake in all of this, after all, so I am thankful a bit of emotion can slide through. Goodnight.
Glad you think my postings to be lame. That’s quite a commendation.
My problem, as mentioned is not disputing or questioning each scenario case by case, but reading further up, everything it seems is a FF – in the last dozen or so years, can you give me one terror event that is not a FF?
Sad to read such an article without a mention of UPR the only political party that want France to be independant from the empire by getting out of the UE and NATO. It’s pretty much like shooting yourself in the foot on your declared “fight against the empire” by hidding the only political hope there is for France right now.
To think that the FN can win a presidential election in France just show how totaly clueless you are about French politics and what the FN represent in the average French guy mind. IT is just as clueless as to think the FN is not serving TPTB.
to quote another comment in this section:
“there are only 5 to 6 million voter that vote for FN since 40 years and there will not be more than that. This is a fact and you can look the numbers since 40 years.”
“Do not forget that the FN is a creation of Mitterand. Great piece of writing. Thank you, for taking the time to write such an insightful essay.
Why should there be any hope for so called ‘french”?.The mayhem they spawned from Napoleon time to meddling in Libya and Syria now should drive the whole world in demanding they play their game in Paris and Paree alone.Every nation they colonized have been left in utter ugly state by their ‘games’,must we mention, haiti,Cambodia,Algeria etc?.Chickens are coming home to roost when comedians are held up as the saviours it can be said the french are scrapping the bottom!
Yes, the French have a h— of a lot to answer for from their colonial adventures. In Africa, in the MENA, in Southeast Asia.
But so does every colonial power. Belgians, anyone? THe Congo?
But it does seem that the French are not ready to acknowledge and take responsibiltiy for the results of their colonial meddling—also to them. They are too proud of their mission civiliitrice.
I guess one take-away is that France is the best place to enjoy French culture. Tourists as colonizers . . .
Katherine
Bonjour,
Good article, but why didn’t you mention the quite dissident political party the UPR? http://www.upr.fr/
They get little votes but have one of the largest (paid) membership bases in France. Front National is said to be founded by French state services as a tool to keep the right nicely controlled in one party.
Can you tell us more about this?
The UPR is a small party now, but in many ways seems to have good ideas.
If you know more about the UPR, perhaps you could write about it.
Googling UPR Asselineau site:egaliteetreconciliation.fr will bring up many pages, and you can see that in the 2009-2013 era, E&R (Soral and friends) were quite supportive of UPR and its President, Asselineau. But later the friendship cooled off.
I don’t know the UPR side of the story. The E&R people say that Asselineau, a former high functionary in the government, has a very good understanding of how the empire dominates France, and what needs to be done on a technical level, but that Asselineau is not competent in the tough life of being a politician. Therefore, he promotes the UPR as a “boutique” type of party which ends up being a wasted and divisive effort.
I think the breaking point of the E&R – UPR friendship may have resulted from either the UPR “spitting on” (Soral’s words) the FN, but perhaps it was because Asselineau allowed a TV personality to hector him into implying that Soral was “anti-semitic.”
This video seems to sum up Soral’s thoughts on the UPR and Asselineau, which are a mix of negative and positive. It’s 4 minutes of fast French: http://www.egaliteetreconciliation.fr/Alain-Soral-donne-une-lecon-de-politique-a-Francois-Asselineau-18909.html
Personally, I think we need a multiplicity of parties but that means we also will be in desperate need of practical methods for small parties to work together and have strength in unity.
If you have more to say about the UPR, I for one would like to hear how they can break out of being a tiny party, because growing these little seedlings is a world-wide problem.

Great remarks by Soral in that video.
Creating pseudo protest parties to split dissenters is another trick used by the establishment. For example, the Schill Partei in Germany a couple years ago. They promoted this pseudo law & order party and then exposed the phony leader Ronald Schill as a cocaine sniffer. :)
You didn’t mention that over 57% of the GDP of France is government spending. France is an utterly insolvent, socialist basket case of a country. I currently live in Belgium and it’s similar here. I know quite a few French people and it astounds me how entitled the French mindset is. The Russian sanctions are merely a footnote, the French economy was doomed regardless and only their ability to borrow more and more money is keeping their “economy” afloat. I’m English and though the UK certainly has problems living within it’s means, there is at least some form of entrepreneurial spirit still alive in the UK. I cannot say the same for Belgium or France.
Regardless who get’s elected in 2017, there is no way that the French will suddenly embrace free market economics, in fact I’d wager that they’ll try to borrow and spend even more. France should look to Greece and Venezuela to see it’s future. It is inevitable that once fiat currencies collapse socialist states will fall apart with no ability to finance itself via government debt.
Unfortunately, this situation cannot be blamed on “the elites”. No one put a gun to the head of the French people are forced them to feed off the state. They welcomed an every growing government, took the handouts, asked for more, this is on them, and they will suffer the consequences when it collapses, as in many other countries.
The same is true in Greece. If the people rejected big government and became independent citizens reliant on their own entrepreneurial spirit, Greece would recover. Instead the people desperately continue to try and feed off of the state, even now after everything they’ve been through. They cannot blame Germany for this, it is their doing.
I am no fan of the establishment, but sadly people in general have demonstrated themselves to be lazy, selfish and short-sighted. An easy target for an organised and shrewd elite. The best we can hope for is that the world returns to some form of economic reality, from which we can begin to rebuild societies that encourage people to be thoughtful, independent citizens rather than the zombie dependents that thrive today.
I have heard this assessment of France from a relative who lived there, tried to set up a small business (sawmill that he bought from the original owner—each guy was missing a finger!!; this is typical of guys who run small independent sawmills)), and became thoroughly disgusted with the French mindset. He returned to the States!!
BUT, I cannot accept this idea that everyone is an entrepreneur. Not everyone is an entrepreneur. It should be possible to devise a system where people who are willing to learn a trade or a job or profession and to do an honest day’s work can live normally, pay their taxes, pay into the pension scheme, get decent education for thier kids and decent health care, and then retire and slow down when they have worked 40 or 50 years. Jeez. Not everyone can or wants to be an entrepreneur. Countires need a civil service, they need people to maintain retail stores, they need manufacturing jobs, they need farmers, they need foresters. All of these workers deserve the the opportunity to pay taxes and get something valuable for their taxes. Decent infrastructure, environment, and quality of life. Frankly, I do not htink ‘entrepreunerual spirit” is a vialbe basis for a nation’s economy. Sure, a few entrepreneurs—held in check. We no longer live on the frontier.

Hi Katherine, when I talked about “entrepreneurial spirit” I was not necessarily implying everyone had to start businesses. I actually meant the human spirit of finding solutions to our own problems, whether it be economically or otherwise. I just don’t see that spirit in Europe right now, everyone looks to the government to solve their problems.
The ideal size of government is debatable, but what we can all agree on (I’m sure) is that today’s governments have grown far too big to the detriment of all societies and the citizens have become far too dependent on them, and have lost their spirit of independence and liberty.
@Rich: “when I talked about “entrepreneurial spirit” I was not necessarily implying everyone had to start businesses. I actually meant the human spirit of finding solutions to our own problems, whether it be economically or otherwise. ”
That is not what “entrepreneurial” means, so your whole message went astray.
I think a better word would be “resourceful.” Or “creative.” “Boldy creative and resourceful.”
Words count. Be precise.
Katherine
Why this need to hold entrepreneurs in check? There are saintly, steadfast clerks and foresters and then there these animals who need to be chained and guarded by vigilant state workers with cattle prods and tranquilizer guns.
“The same is true in Greece. If the people rejected big government and became independent citizens reliant on their own entrepreneurial spirit, Greece would recover. Instead the people desperately continue to try and feed off of the state, even now after everything they’ve been through. They cannot blame Germany for this, it is their doing.”
Not quite true and off course it can be blamed on (part of) the elite. Especially those who have agreed on the latest monetary system and money issuance of/in almost all countries. The phenomenal sums it costs just to have ‘our’ (their!) money circulating in our respective economies makes it impossible to ever get rid of our debts. The moment we would have succeeded in doing so there would be no money left in circulation because every $, €, £, is one of debt.
It aren’t the social spendings causing the enormous deficits, for a major part it’s the money system. On top of that games have been played to raise debt even faster. In Greek for instance EC/NATO forced Greece into way above average military spending. The (I think wished for) results are obvious…
Sorry Jac but blaming the elites is just not on. Yes, they play their games and manipulate us, but we allow ourselves to be manipulated, even welcome it. They may make the legal tender laws that force us to pay our taxes in fiat currency, but we don’t have to use their banks! If people wanted, they could withdraw their savings and store them as gold or silver in an independent vault, using fiat banks only as middle men to facilitate transactions with the state. It’s really not that hard, but people are lazy and ignorant and would rather use those banks that they know to be complicit in criminal acts (!) than to educate themselves about money and wealth, even though it is in their own best interest.
The truth is the elites don’t need to hold a gun to our heads, we ask to be ruled, we put the shackles on ourselves, when at all times we hold the key to unshackle ourselves! All we have to do is use our brains, inform ourselves and act accordingly. No one is stopping us in the west from doing this. No one.
The internet was a revelation in spreading information and never before has it been so easy to learn and inform ourselves, yet how many people take advantage of this? Most people I know use facebook and instagram and have likely never even read a wikipedia article, let alone doing any serious research about anything.
Going back to your response, if the people of Greece demanded breaking awway from the EU and using their own money not the Euro, and my god if they demanded it be backed by gold, it would happen! The elites are pragmatists, intergenerational wealth does not survive any other way. They know that they are few in numbers and cannot subjugate the entire world if they resist. But we let them do it, so they get away with it. So I ask you again, who is to blame? And does blame even really matter at the end of the day? We need change in our actions and intentions and blame pacifies us and makes us feel better, it does not spur us to action.
I was very happy to read this positive prognosis for the political situation in France. Who doesn’t want to feel good about France and want to look forward to many visits to savor all that French culture and society offers? Best food/capital city/museums/wine/cheese/countryside/joie de vivre, etc.
So, I was pretty downcast to read the following very depressing prognosis, in the London Review of Books, regarding the apparent acceptance by a huge majority of the French for the new, permanent police state:

It is by Didier Fassin.
As of today it is not behind a pay wall.

As a Brit living in France for over 10 years now, I have some difficulty recognising the hope for real change that the above espouses.
France, at least in my experience, seems to be one of the most surpressed societies in western Europe. Here is one small example.
To get a new SIM card for my mobile phone, I have to provide a passport, a cancelled cheque, a “RIB” which is all my bank details, and the SIM has to be “activated”. Once I’ve got it, outgoing mail has to be by an “approved” service provider, not via my chosen route. And like the UK, every call, text and email is monitored. Unlike the UK, this is done with the full approval of the French government.
I don’t see all the farmers protests, some small student protests take place, but only on particular issues, and the economy is failing badly, despite massage of the figures. The French used to be known as the direct action kings of Europe. In my view at least, they have lost their crown.
A peaceful revolution is totally out of the equation right now and oligarchs should blame themselves for that. It will be violent and ugly, what they are doing in Argentina will explode in their faces very soon.
I could not follow this rambling piece at all.
Dieudonné and Soral are supporters of an Islamic/Patriotic French alliance against the socialists and the Jews.
In short, they are not against the islamification of France, in fact they welcome it with open arms because of the patriarchal and anti-jew sentiment that it will bring with it.
These “dissidents” do not have a coherent platform. Yes, people are angry with the status quo, but if you think they will side with a black muslim (dieudonne) and Soral, then you are delusional.
The true patriots are the blue-blooded Frenchmen that are French by right of blood and soil.
“On TV, she said the slave trade was no big deal, just “forced labor” and implied the slaves were better off as slaves than, you know, running around free in Africa.”
Have you a source of this quote?
I cannot believe that Madame Taubira said that because what she usually says in public or write is insightful. This quote above is too mean.
For exemple, here is what she wrote « Le racisme a été construit, élaboré, structuré pour justifier l’esclavagisme : sa source est là. »

OK, Cosino A, I put this article in my Evernote whith “insightful” among labels…
